The vibes of this fic were inspired by @f-oighear's one shot: But the cold, dark gaze is your own.
Illustration is at the end.
Ao3
Is he in a dream? He does not know, but the shadows that swirl around him are ominous. He looks away, but it is the same on the other side. Shades of gray. There is a path and he walks on it, because what else can he do?
Each step feels heavy. He feels the burden resting on his shoulders. The burden of responsibility, burden of duty. It is suffocating, but he pushes on. He knows nothing else. Stronger! Stronger! Stronger! He keeps on repeating. My path is mine and mine alone.
So he walks by himself, dragging his feet, tripping. Shadows come closer.
He cannot take a break, but… his composure is shattering. Just a moment, a little bit.
So he stops, nobody will notice. He turns his head to the side and his lilac eyes widen, surprised.
The shadows part, just in that one spot, they swirl away and there is light. He needs to squint, because he is not used to it. Dark markings strangled him, kept him away from it, he kept himself from it, for fifteen years of his life. So how is this light apparent now?
He looks closer and he sees a flutter of pink. Pink? He smells wine, but why wine?
His eyes meet with those of amethyst color and he sees flushed cheeks.
“Hello handsome,” the woman winks. It is just that she is not talking to him. There is a man next to her. Man that could be his twin, because they both have silver hair, fair skin, lilac eyes. However it is not Nozel, because he knows himself and he is not happy. So how does this Nozel look as if he was? He wants to know the secret, wants to know how?
He takes a step closer… he falls on his knees.
The light is gone, only shadows remained.
He struggles to stand up. His legs are wobbly, because the burden is back. Somehow heavier than ever. Alone he pushes on.
Stronger! Stronger! Stronger! The words are there, repeated like a mantra.
Yet another step, yet another drag of his feet and they hurt. The soles of his sandals are not enough to shield them from the hard rocks, which suddenly appeared on the path.
He looks at them.
However then suddenly a flash of light appears. His eyes dart to it and he is focused. His legs feel lighter, so he approaches it.
Silver? No she is not a Silva, he does not know her and yet she feels familiar. As if when he looks at the night sky he sees her. The moon looks down at him. And once again there is a man beside her. She is soft with him and he… he is soft with her. Yet another impossible twin.
So he wants to gaze longer, but the moment he takes a step closer, light fades again. The burden settles, crushes him. Markings strangle his neck.
Stronger! Stronger! Stronger!
He walks down the path. The sharp stones seem to break the soles of his sandals, but they are still fine… for now.
When the light appears again, he is not surprised and he runs to it, once again magically rid of the heaviness. He stops close enough so that he can see, but not too close, worried that it will disappear.
Why is his rival there? Why are they sitting under a tree? What are they talking about?
Fuegoleon seems to be calmly explaining something and the man beside him… listens. They are younger, teenagers. But he has no memory of that. What does it mean? This Nozel does not look burdened.
He cannot stop himself from taking a step. It fades… once again it fades…
Stronger! Stronger! Stronger! But he wishes for yet another light.
His shoulders hurt. The burden digs into them. He is struggling not to trip. Not to fall down on the sharp rocks.
He sees it. He darts towards it. Somehow his prayer was answered.
Gold? Gold and green. The woman is standing in the water and smiling. She submerged her hands in it only to lift them up and splash them! He flinches, but she did not splash at him. The man beside her gets a little wet. He expects the man to snap. He does not. The man looks… happy?
He needs to take a closer look. He forgets and takes a step. The light fades.
Stronger! Stronger! Stronger! Stronger to see another light?
He feels the rocks. The soles of his shoes begin to have holes in them. It hurts! He pushes it down. He does not hurt. He is strong.
However when the light appears he does not have to pretend anymore… because the pain fades away.
The woman is not facing him. She has long, light brown hair, so long that it nearly touches the ground. He notices her ears… they are pointy? Then a man comes up from behind her. He puts his hand on her shoulder and she turns around. Her eyes… They are beautiful, peach colored. Her expression is serene as she looks up at the man. That man… he is not nervous… he is happy.
Maybe if he got a closer look he too..? However when he does the shadows remind him that he cannot. They swallow the peach eyed woman and the man. Once again he is alone.
Stronger! Stronger! Stronger! Why is it on repeat?
He flinches. Pain. His shoes break down. The soles do not make it and sharp rocks dig into his feet. The burden, the duty lies heavy on his shoulders. He wonders will his spine make it? It has to. He is strong… right?
However he only feels strong, when the light appears again. His wide open eyes look at those with interchanging colors. Colors of pink, blue and purple. Why is that witch there? How is she not asleep? She makes a V-sign with her fingers and giggles, but she does not giggle at him. She giggles at the man whose cheeks are bright pink. He is embarrassed, but not in an uncomfortable way. This is softer. The man smiles tenderly.
He wonders would this expression look the same on him? So he tries, but the corners of his lips are not used to the movement. The muscles seemed to forget. An ugly grimace forms instead. He covers his mouth.
This time he is the one to step back. The light fades.
Stronger! Stronger! Stronger!
Something wet.... There is blood on his feet. He feels his back crack, he needs to lean forward, because the burden is too heavy. He wishes for the light no more. It gets worse with each one. Or maybe… just one more time? One more time, before he hurts his feet and they cannot walk anymore. One more time before he gives away to the burden. He walks, but it is hard. It is hard to breathe with the markings suffocating him.
He trips. His hands bleed. The rocks cut the skin open. White fabric on his knees tears. There are no tears streaming down his cheeks. He is strong. He tries to stand up.
The light shines. He looks up and suddenly he is able to walk, able to run, but he is scared. He worries that if he gets too close it will disappear again. However he cannot see from this far. His feet decide for him.
He takes a look. The man standing there looks the most like him, from all of those he saw. His expression flat and arms crossed over his chest.
He furrows his brows. What does it mean?
But before he can wonder, a flash of red appears and a woman comes from behind the man, she excitedly jumps up and wraps her arms around him. The man nearly stumbles… but he is not angry. And the woman laughs. Her dark chocolate hair falls on him and contrasts with the silver. It frames her bright smile and deep brown orbs… almost black. She whispers something to the man and he rolls his eyes affectionately. Affectionately..? How does one do that?
He wants to ask, so he opens his mouth… but no words come out. He tries again, but he is mute. He puts his hand to his throat. It burns. The markings burn, they suffocate. He tries to scream, but those two surrounded by light do not hear, because there is nothing to be heard. So he reaches out his hand.
The light..? Why is it… wet?
It disappears. Only his outreached palm stays. His eyes widen. It is red, just as that woman’s dress. Blood red and the droplets fall on the sharp rocks. Right… they cut it open.
Stron… He is not strong anymore. He falls on the hard ground. It hurts his body. The burden crushes his lungs. The markings tighten around his neck. The shadows swirl and blood… it spills. He lies there looking up at the dark. Nothing is there.
Nothing… nothing… nothing…
Something wet trails down his cheeks. Tears? His eyes open and he stares at the white ceiling of his room at the Silva estate. What was that dream? He wonders. Heavily he lifts himself up on the bed and looks to the side.
It is empty…

S3 E2 Valtor's Mark
Mermaids are fucking gorgeous omg
Somethings changed them. You don't fucking say 😂
The trix falling for Valtor is weird af and I hate it
I can wait a little longer. Finally a villain with patience!
Tecna's computer just has a big X on it. Guess she's having no luck.
Tumblr media
I've decided to travel light... Stella, babe. Just cause you miniaturise it, doesn't mean it's light 😂
Can't believe Bloom has never been to Solaria yet
Why did Stella unminiaturise her baggage to give it to the poor servant?
A yes, in front of this super cool galaxy thing, Bloom decides to have a trademark Bloom moment of melodrama
I would kill for Musa to hear Stella say a princess's life is so hard. I just think the ensuing fight would be real funny
King Radius will always think she's better than me... Chimera, bitch, that's his daughter and heir. Of course he thinks she's better.
So Chimera does know what Stella looks like and still chose to antagonize her... That seems brilliant.
It might not look like it now, but this could very well be the beginning of a lasting and beautiful friendship. Bloom truly is delulu
Pre-party parties? PARTIES? Plural?
Skipping right over Chimera's Medusa hair to mention that Stella's cake layers are crooked.
Tumblr media
It's also got a bunch of smiley faces 🙂
Honestly Chimera did them a favour ruining that cake
I hate her. I'd give anything to be like her... Chimera come on...
Cassandra and Chimera took absolutely no convincing whatsoever
AHHHHH Musa looks so beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍
Why are Brandon and Sky in their RF uniform? This is a royal function...
Where are Riven, Timmy and Helia? Why was it never explained why they didn't go? Why did we not get to see Riven's reaction to his girlfriend looking like an angel? This is truly robbery.
Brandon's jaw dropping 🥰👌🏻
Radius is a terrible father. Who the fuck steals the attention on their daughters big day to announce their engagement?
Stella hoping her parents get back together is still completely insane
Radius gives zero fucks about how sad his daughter is while dancing with him.
Okay Cassandra spelled Radius but why is no one else at that ball like but... We just saw Stella become a monster? Radius wtf?
Alive or not? Chimera wtf
So I'm gonna assume these guards are completely mindless or that Cassandra spelled them too
You know Brandon and Sky were waiting for an opportunity to jump out of a window
HOLY FUCK THEY'VE FINALLY REMEMBERED THEY HAVE WINGS!!!!
Sky saying they'll get out without a single scratch as his girlfriend basically blows up a tower is peak comedy.
Musa why the fuck are you just yelling Oh No as Stella falls. YOU HAVE WINGS AND MAGIC. FUCKING USE IT.

Aelin was exhausted as she opened the front door of her apartment. She hadn’t looked into a mirror today for her own sanity, but she was aware that after spending half of the night crying, she couldn’t look good.
After Rowan had left, she had allowed herself a few minutes to put herself together before joining Elide and Helia. The little girl had been exhausted, though, and fell asleep quite early into the evening. For a minute, Aelin had thought about taking her to bed with her. She hadn’t wanted to be alone, and Helia always asked to sleep in the same bed as her. But, when tears started burning her eyes again at the thought of the girl’s dad, and she had known it was better if she took Helia to her own bedroom instead.
And that was what she had done, and when Helia woke up and asked for a story, Aelin happily delivered.
“You’ve been harsh with him,” she had told Elide last night, happy to see the woman was waiting for her in the guest room. Aelin hadn’t wanted to be alone, and it seemed like Elide knew that.
The brunette’s eyebrow had risen, “So have you.”
She had sighed, laying on the bed. “I know, but please don’t kick him out again. I know it is your house and I have no say in what happens, but I also know that Rowan doesn’t trust many people, but Lorcan is one of them. He… needs his friend.”
“After what he’s done, you want him to have support?”
“I know it wasn’t easy for him nor something he wanted to do.”
Elide had nodded and didn’t say anything for a few minutes. “Why don’t you forgive him then?”
It was the million dollars question, wasn’t it? She knew why, but she was afraid that if she said it then it wouldn’t make sense. She was also afraid of her own emotions.
“You can tell me,” Elide had whispered.
So, Aelin did. “He promised, a while ago. Promised that he would never leave me. But he did, and even if he didn’t mean for it to last, he still did. I never asked for anything, only that he never leave me. He did, and it seemed so easy, Elide. He walked away twice, even as I begged. Do you know how many people left me, destroyed my trust and left me to myself? He was supposed to be the exception. And I know why he did it, I heard him. But I’m so mad, at him and myself. Because it looked so easy to leave me, you know? And when he left, I had no idea who I was, as if I had made my entire life revolve around loving him.”
“Aelin!” A loud squeal of her name tore out from the memory of the night before. Barely a second later, Lysandra had thrown herself on Aelin. “I was so worried for you.”
Had she? Aelin let her bag fall to the floor and hugged her friend, closing her eyes as she enjoyed them embrace. “I’m sorry.”
Lysandra pulled back, and an unusual frown was on her face, “What happened?”
She shrugged, not really decided to talk now. If only because she was sure to cry. Her eyes caught blonde hair in the living room, and the next thing she knew she was hugging her cousin.
“I missed you,” she admitted. She had, that was true. She had thought that having Rowan and Helia was enough, that she didn’t need him but… She would have needed him that night.
He kissed her cheek, “I’m always here, alright? No matter what we told each other before, call me when you need help.”
She swallowed back her tears and nodded, “I’ll know that now.”
He smiled at her and pushed her back into his arms, and she stayed there comfortably. Should she tell him about his father? About what she said? Gavriel hadn’t committed a crime, he had only thought her too… herself to hear him out. Yet, she still felt betrayed.
She would decide later, for now she only wanted to relax if it was possible. “You wanna talk?”
She shook her head, pulling back from the hug. “Later?”
He nodded, “As long as you actually speak.”
She rolled her eyes jokingly and grabbed her things to put them in her room, and she ignored how odd it felt to enter the room. Had she spent that much time at Rowan’s? Well, she’d have to get used to here again, at least for a while.
“Hey,” A masculine voice surprised her from behind, and Dorian was in her doorway with a smile on his face.
“Hey,” she smiled at him. “Sorry for the worry the other night.”
He crossed his arms and shrugged. “I’m happy you’re okay.”
“It’s me,” she said, though she didn’t really feel like her smile was still real. “Always okay.”
“You don’t have to pretend, you know,” he said, entering the room and closing the door behind him.
“I rather,” she admitted. “It’s the only way it will get better.”
“Come here,” he breathed, opening his arms for her. She gladly hugged him. “No more boyfriend?” He asked, as if he knew. She supposed it was the only reason why he could imagine she felt that way. Maybe she was that pathetic.
“No.” She answered, voice hollow. “No more boyfriend.”
He squeezed her tighter, such a brotherly gesture before he pulled back. “Do you want to talk trash about him all night?”
She snorted, shaking her head as she said, “No. But… I wouldn’t mind a sleepover where you tell me all the details of that relationship of yours with the blonde.”
“Manon,” he said with a blush on his cheeks. “There’s nothing to say, there aren’t any relationship.”
Aelin’s eyebrows almost reached her hairline, “Even after what we heard with Lys? And after all the others times that must have taken place when I wasn’t here?”
Now his entire face was flushed, and she couldn’t stop herself from laughing at his obvious embarrassment. “We’re just… friends.”
“Yeah, I sure tie my friends to their bed and—” She was cut off as he covered her mouth with his hand, and she bit his palm as she tried to push him again. He was laughing as well when he let go, and gave her the finger before whipping his hand dry on his jeans.
“I’m off med school, by the way,” she told him. “I had a friend make the call, I’m too coward to do it myself and answer the questions. But yeah, I’m not going there anymore.”
“You don’t know how jealous I am of you now.”
“Dorian…”
He shook his head, “It’s okay, one day maybe I’ll do the same. Who knows?”
“I’ll be there for you,” she told him. It was a promise.
“Thank you, Aelin. What do you want to do now?”
She let out a nervous laugh, “I hadn’t thought about that when I asked my friend to help me drop out, but I’ll find something. I always do.”
It felt weird to call Lorcan a friend, but after he took her in and tried to help her with the pictures… He was her friend, just not the way Dorian and Fenrys were. And it was okay.
“I’ll be there until you find,” he said in echo to her earlier promise. “And I’ll also be there after.”
“You’re great.”
“What the hell are you two doing here? Having a party without me?” Lysandra asked as she opened the door, hands resting on her hips. Aelin felt ready to be grounded, that was how scary Lysandra was.
Aelin bit her lip to avoid as a smile as she said, “Join us!”
“Aelin wanted a sleepover.”
Lysandra’s eyes widened and shone with delight, “Oh, my Gods, can we have popcorn whilst watching movies?”
Aelin gasped before almost screaming, “Yes!”
---
“Diamond castle is better than the twelve-dancing princess.”
A loud gasped echoed into the room, and the three men groaned as Aelin said, “How dare you speak such profanities under my roof.”
“It’s mine too!” Lysandra said.
“I don’t care! No blasphemy allowed here!”
“You enjoying the dancing princess more than the masterpiece that is Diamond Castle is the real blasphemy. Hell, the cops should arrest you for that.”
“Are you really fighting over which Barbie movie is the best?” Chaol complained, an eyebrow raised.
Lysandra and Aelin gave each other a look before turning their offended gaze to Chaol. “Don’t you speak Barbie’s name with such disdain.”
“Yeah,” Lysandra added. “Who gave you permission to be so offensive?”
“Men really have the audacity,” Aelin sighed and rolled her eyes.
At that moment, all three men started complaining, but she didn’t hear them over both hers and Lysandra’s laughs. She and Lysandra fought for the controller, both of them wishing for a very different princess movie, but in the end it’s Dorian that grabbed the controller. Both girls were extremely disappointed as they ended up watching a movie about war. Hell, even Diamond Castle was better than this.
At least, the popcorn was right there to help her feel better. There were two bowls, one on Aedion’s lap and on between Chaol and Dorian. Lysandra, Aedion and Aelin were all laying on blankets and pillows on the floor, Aelin’s head resting on her cousin’s shoulder and Lysandra was laying on his opposite side. Behind them, Dorian and Chaol were sharing a couch.
She was enjoying her time, if she was being honest. It would be better without the knowledge that she would break into sobs the moment she would be alone in her room. Maybe she would be selfish and ask Aedion to spend the night with her, they needed to have a serious talk, anyway.
But… Things between him and Lysandra were still unsaid, and she knew her cousin was only waiting for Lysandra’s green flag to start calling her his girlfriend. But… They spent all their free time together; Aelin could request one night with her cousin. He wouldn’t deny her, but what if he only accepted because she was his cousin? What if he just wished to be with Lysandra instead?
The wheels turning in her mind were so loud she almost didn’t hear the frantic knocks on the door that had everyone’s head turn to the side. Lysandra groaned as Dorian stood, “I swear, if it’s the neighbor again…”
Everyone’s attention turned back to the movie, but Aelin kept her eyes on Dorian. She almost saw his back stiffening, his hand clenching on the doorknob as he talked to whoever was behind the door. He shook his head, and she only heard because she was focusing on him: “No. Aelin’s not here.”
Who could he be talking to? She looked at her cousin for a second but he was focused on his movie. Why was Dorian lying? It was Dorian who had the energy of a golden retriever. She stood and went behind Dorian, thanking herself for thinking of putting on a robe over her nightgown. But when she saw who Dorian was talking with her stomach sank. She thought she was getting sick for a second, her mind numbing.
“What are you doing here?” She breathed, voice barely audible.
Rowan’s green pine eyes turned to hers, and fear seized her as she saw all the panic and worry in his eyes. “Aelin,” Dorian’s stopped her. “It’s okay, I’m dealing with it.”
Rowan ignored him, “I need a word, it won’t be long.”
Dorian’s voice was unusually cold as he told Rowan, “I’m sorry Dr. Whitethorn, but you are not welcome here. Please, leave.”
Why the hell was he so cold? Why had he lied? Why was Rowan so worried? Her brain was fuming, her breaths too short. “Dor, it’s okay. I’ll just have a word with Doc—”
“Aelin, I know,” he whispered, and her eyes widened. “You were having a good evening, don’t let him drag you into a mess again. I’ll deal with it, okay?”
“How?”
“Doesn’t matter.”
“Aelin,” Rowan interrupted. “It’s urgent.”
Oh, Gods. The worst of scenario came into her mind. If Rowan reacted that way, it could only be for one reason… Helia. She nodded, laying a hand on Dorian’s shoulder before turning her head to check if no one had been watching them. Thankfully they were all engrossed in Dorian’s shitty movie. “I’ll be back in one second.”
She didn’t let him protest as she passed by him and closed the front door behind her, leaving her alone with Rowan in the hall. She didn’t wonder about the fact that Dorian knew her secret, didn’t wonder about how long he must have known and if other people knew as well… “Is Helia okay?” She asked, breathless and worry already in her veins.
He nodded, “Yes, she is. At Fenrys’. It’s not about her, Aelin, it’s about us.”
Suddenly, breathing was easier. She let out a long breath, her brain still numb as she closed her eyes. That had been too much worry, too much in such a short period of time.
“I don’t want to talk about us, Rowan.”
“Maybe you will want to talk about the pictures your father received, then.”
Her eyes opened, and again, discomfort seized her. “What do you mean?”
She had a lot of thoughts about that, about how her privacy had been violated and how unsafe she felt. But she didn’t want to share them and knowing Rowan she thought he wouldn’t want to share his either. Even less knock on her door at almost midnight to demand a chat with her.
“Lorcan traced the IP address of who sent that email. They didn’t do it through a burner phone like with the texts I got.”
“Okay,” she nodded. “Where, then?”
He looked away for a second before saying, “Here. The IP led him to your building.”
She shook her head, not fully grasping what he meant. “Then there’s a mistake.”
He reached for her hand, but she pulled back, he closed his eyes for an instant before telling her there was no mistake.
Her mouth opened but closed in incomprehension, “What do you mean then? D-Do you think I sent that?” How could he? After everything…
“What?” He gasped. “No, fuck, no. Fireheart, you’re not the one I’m accusing.”
Her brow furrowed “Then who?”
He let out a long breath, his hands shaking. It was hard to not reach out for his touch, but this conversation was too much, she needed to keep her sanity and keep away from him. “Think, Aelin. Who, in that apartment would want you to be single? To ruin you and not the guy in the wrong in the relationship? Think, Aelin, about the man you didn’t even like until recently.”
Her eyes burned as she shook her head, refusing to even think about it. “Chaol is my friend, now. He wouldn’t…”
“He wouldn’t what, betray your trust? He already did, Aelin.”
“B-but we think the ‘they’ in the email means me and Celaena… Chaol doesn’t know about her. I-it doesn’t make sense.”
His eyes turned sympathetic, he almost made move to reach for her but stopped his hand before he could touch her. “You started dating him a month after she passed, Fireheart. He must have heard of her in passing, must have seen pictures… I don’t know. But think about it, it makes sense.”
The more he talked, and the more it actually made sense. So much that Aelin’s entire body started shaking, not in confusion or sadness. No, those emotions were buried deep under her anger now.
He had been angry when he learned she had a new boyfriend, and he was always around doing nothing… He didn’t have a job, but still was away most of the days.
She looked at Rowan, and he must have seen something in her eyes. He shot for her hand as she shot for the door, Aelin faster than him. She opened the door in a loud bang, starling everyone in the room.
“Aelin!” Lysandra squealed. Then, more confused, “Pr-professor Whitethorn? What the hell?”
“Who the hell’s that?” Aedion ask, standing up.
But Aelin didn’t listen, didn’t listen as Rowan tried to call her name. She grabbed the vase of flower on the small table in the entryway and threw it at Chaol’s face, so blind in rage she didn’t flinch as he was splashed in water and the vase fell first on the couch then on the floor where it shattered. Lysandra screamed as she received small pieces of glass near her, and Aedion helped her stand up.
“I’m going to fucking kill you,” she hissed, but before she could throw herself at Chaol, Rowan grabbed her around the waist. “Let me fucking go!”
“There was a fucking kid on those pictures, you creep!” She yelled at Chaol, her entire body shaking. She tried to get free from Rowan’s hold, but he was stronger than she was. “A kid! You’re a freak, and I’m going to ruin your entire life you sick bas—”
“What the hell are you talking about!” He screamed.
“Aelin,” Dorian said, standing in between her and his friend. “Calm down, what is wrong?”
“Get out of here,” she hissed, not in the mood to do anything but claw Chaol’s face out. She wanted to do it slowly, in the most painful of ways. “Did you have fun stalking us? Huh? I swear to the Gods…”
Aedion, a hand behind him as if to protect Lysandra, turned to Chaol. His voice, like cold death, he asked, “What is she talking about?”
Chaol’s eyes were wide, “I have no idea, she’s fucking crazy!”
Again, Aelin tried to lunge for the bastard but Rowan held her back. As Aedion hissed at Chaol to not call Aelin names, she turned to Rowan, “What the fuck are you doing, let me go.”
“You think I don’t want his head?” He hissed back. “But I’m also not letting you spend the night in jail for assault.”
“I don’t care!”
“I do!” He yelled back, silencing everyone.
“What is he doing here, Aelin?” Lysandra asked, her face portraying all the confusion that must run through her veins.
“Not now, Lys,” Dorian told her. “Aelin, please calm down and let’s talk calmly.”
Chaol touched the side of his cheek, where a little bit of blood came out from a small cut made by a thorn. “That crazy bitch doesn’t kno--.”
It happened too fast for Aelin to register it. The arms around her waist disappeared, and the next time she opened her eyes, Rowan was punching Chaol in the jaw. Her ex-boyfriend fell to the floor as she and Lysandra gasped loudly, and as Rowan went to sit on him and hit him again, Dorian and Aedion pushed him away, holding him by the shoulders to avoid Chaol another punch.
She felt powerless, unable to do anything. Chaol was sitting, sitting out blood from his mouth. She could go there; she could hit him and finish Rowan’s job. He’d help her get away with under if she wanted to go as far as that, she knew that in her bones. But instead, she did nothing but glare. “Whoever the fuck you are,” Aedion hissed at Rowan, “You calm the fuck down.”
She didn’t hear his answer as she asked, “Why? What did I do to you that deserved that?”
His voice full of anger, he said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you’re a psycho, so whoever hurt you that way did it because you deserved it.”
She threw her phone at his face, before going to slap him. She pushed him again, until his back hit the wall. She was blind in rage, couldn’t feel anything else but her anger. Someone wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her away from him. Why is everyone’s problem? Wasn’t she allowed to punch assholes anymore?
“Let go, Fireheart,” the voice of the man she loved the most whispered into her ear. She shook her head. She didn’t know what else to do than express her rage. Had no idea of what to do with herself.
“At least admit it,” she said. “At least have the honor of admiring it.”
“Admitting what?” he hissed.
She pushed Rowan away, standing in front of Chaol. He didn’t seem to want to admit it. “I cannot believe I gave you my trust again, even after what you did earlier this year. You’re just a fucking dick, you don’t deserve shit, and I’ll make sure that your life and everyone else in your family’s lives will be ruined.”
One word from her father and his could lose his job. She didn’t care about the ethic of it now, didn’t care that he didn’t speak to his dad anymore and it would only get him angrier at him.
“I. Have. No. Idea. What. You’re. Talking. About.”
“Aelin,” Rowan said, almost softly. But his voice couldn’t be described as soft, not with the edge to his tone. “Let go.”
She spun to face him, “What the hell do you want me to do, Rowan? Let him go? After he stalked us and your daughter? After he got you fired?”
“No,” Rowan grilled through his teeth. “We’re going to go the police, and I’ll think they’re going to be very interested by the cameras in your room.”
“The what?” She asked, full of confusion.
His eyes turned sorry as he answered, “There were pictures of you and me, taken by a hidden camera in your room.” She hadn’t seen all pictures, not as Rowan had quickly scrolled down to check if there weren’t explicit videos of her. “The same as they will be very interested in the microphones I’ve found in my offices.” So, that was how the records had ended in the email… She hadn’t focused on that the day before, if only for her own sanity.
“You think I did that?”
“Of course, you did!” she yelled.
He laughed then, confusing her. “If you want to talk about cameras, why don’t you ask your dear friend?” He asked, pointing out to his left.
To Lysandra.
Her eyes widened, lips parting as she shook her head. “I-I have no ideas what he’s talking about. What the hell?”
“Don’t accuse her,” Aelin sneered.
“I’m not,” he answered. “I’m just telling you, ask her what she was doing in your room two months ago with cameras in her hands. She told me it was Aedion who asked her to do that, because he didn’t trust you.”
“What?” Aedion sneered.
“You’re such a liar!” Lys added. “I would never do that.”
“Lys…” Aelin breathed. It couldn’t be her, it couldn’t.
Her friend rushed to her side, taking her hands. “Aelin, please. I’m your friend, you know that, right? I could never record you, film you or even follow you to the Southern Continent, I’m your—”
She stopped herself as she saw Aelin’s face fall, as her gut sank. Lysandra’s face went from one of guilt to a normal face, as if nothing was happening. “Ah, talked too much, didn’t I?”
Aelin hadn’t mentioned the pictures on the Southern Continent, not here at least. Lysandra let go of her hands and shrugged, “Well, I guess it was bound to happen at one point.”
Aelin took a step back, speechless as her back hit Rowan’s chest. She shook her head, unable to even consider what was happening. “What are you saying?” Aedion asked, voice weaker than before.
Aedion, oh, Gods. She didn’t believe in them, and yet she still sent a prayer. Because her cousin always fell hard for the people he cared for, and because he had bene hung over Lysandra for almost as long as Aelin had been with Rowan… “She’s saying that she stalked your cousin for months.” Rowan supplied an answer when Aelin came up short. “That she recorded private moments, including ones with a child. And then, she sent them all to Aelin’s father. Am I wrong, Lysandra?”
“What?” Aedion breathed, arms falling to his side.
“Tell me he’s lying,” Dorian added, his head shaking, too. “Tell me he’s wrong.”
“Well, he kind of is,” she shrugged, giving a smile to Dorian. “I didn’t take the pictures personally, that’s a bit too much word if you ask me, and I had my alibi right there,” she nodded toward Aedion. “Plus, who in their right mind would go to the Southern Continent? Skin cancer is a real thing, I promise.”
Aelin was still angry, but she was feeling more than that now. She was feeling betrayed, sad, and humiliated. An angry ex… It could make sense. But a friend?
“Why?” Aelin asked, voice breaking. Rowan wrapped his arms around her, as if to keep her upright.
She crossed her arms and shrugged again, as if it meant nothing. “I told you weeks ago, Aelin. In life, you must be selfish and do what’s best for you, no matter how much it affects the people around.”
She had told her that, weeks ago on their girl’s day. Aelin had taken it as an advice on her relationship with Rowan, and that was the way Lysandra had said it but it had been a confession all along.
Aelin shook her head, “You’re lying it doesn’t make sense. Why would you do that?”
“Aelin Galathynius and her tears,” Lysandra mocked. “Gods, you’ve been making me sick since high school.”
Her brain stopped, her lips parting. “Since what?”
Lysandra cocked her head to the side, brows furrowing. “You really don’t remember me, do you?”
“I didn’t know you before January,” Aelin said. That was true, they’d met in a lecture hall. Aelin had felt so happy that day, had felt relieved for making a friend back then.
She snorted, “Sure, if we forget those high school years you avoid talking about.”
“No,” she breathed. “You’re kidding.”
“I wish I was, would have avoided me years of therapy.”
“I’d recommend asking for a reimbursement,” Rowan added lowly.
“He’s a funny one,” Lysandra said. “You deserve better than her.”
“And you deserve a broken nose.”
She snorted, “Well, maybe. But Aelin didn’t deserve any of the nice things that happened to her.”
“Excuse me?” Aelin hissed. What was her problem?
“Oh, come on. Life is so easy with you. You watched your sister bully people, bully me in high school, and yet the two of you walked through the hall as if you owned the school.”
She knew about Celaena. She knew about Celaena…
Oh, Gods. Aelin remembered now. Lysandra had been in their high school, had been Celaena’s rivals in most of the scientific subjects… And yes, Celaena hadn’t liked her, there had always been tensions between them.
“Leana never bullied you,” Aelin jumped at the defense of her sister, she would always. “She gave you shits as much as you did.”
Yes, Celaena hadn’t been the nicest back in the day, but she remembered instances where Lysandre went out of her way to lower Celaena’s grades as well.
Lysandra snorted, “Come on, Aelin. When the popular girl annoys someone, what do you think all her minions do? And you never said anything, never spared me a look. Even when she did it right in front of you. Life always comes so easy to you; you couldn’t be empathic for one second.”
“Easy?” She sneered, “Are you fucking joking? Do you even know—”
“That she died? Yes, I do. I was there that night, tried to stop you from jumping in the pool, but you didn’t listen.”
“What.” Aedion demanded, but Lysandra didn’t spare him a look.
Aelin couldn’t remember faces, but… A girl had tried to stop her, and she had pushed her away. Of course, she had.
“And you call that easy?”
She huffed a laugh, “Come on. You had all your fan club around you, everyone went out of their way to show you support. Your parents were right there. Did you know that nobody came to my parents’ funerals two months later? No one. And then I ended up alone, in a foster home in another country. But you… Your sister died and then everyone showered you in love, you went to college without having to worry about anything. You got a boyfriend, and when he disappointed you, you ran to your next boyfriend who happened to be your professor. You barely worked and yet got all the amazing grades, but hey, no amount of work compared to fucking the one that grades us, right?”
Aelin didn’t have it in herself to answer the jab, but she vaguely heard Dorian answer something in a harsh tone. Rowan was saying something in her ear, but she didn’t listen. She looked at her cousin, he was sitting on the couch, staring into the void. His eyes were lined with silver, and Aelin hated how this was the thing that made her want to fight.
Not for her hurts but for someone else’s.
“You said you didn’t take the pictures,” Aelin said. “Who did?”
“I don’t know,” Lysandra said. “Some random private that he hired. I was just told to send the texts and emails.”
“He?” Rowan asked.
Her smile turned cocky then, “Ah, the million-dollar question. I don’t know, do you deserve that answer?”
“You put those cameras in Aelin’s room?” Aedion asked, as if he stayed stuck on that part of the story.
She rolled her eyes, “Of course. I did have to work a little.”
“Without asking for her consent.”
“Wouldn’t be fun otherwise, would it?”
“Then answer the Goddamn question, or your life will be ruined the moment this conversation is done. You just admitted to a felony.”
She snorted, “To which police officer?”
He nodded to Dorian, who had his phone in his hand and smiled at Lysandra. “It’s good for people who enjoy replay.”
She shook her head, “It’s not admissible in court.”
“But it’s enough to start an investigation.”
She lost her smile then and weighted her options. Aelin didn’t say anything, instead she sank deeper into Rowan’s arms as if she could disappear. She wished she could, wished it was a nightmare.
“My foster father,” Lysandra said. “He had something to settle with your mommy.”
Aelin frowned, “Who?”
“Oh, you know him! Arobynn Hamel, rings any bells? A total asshole if you ask me, I hate the guy but hey, he gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
She must have misheard, because she couldn’t have just said…
“What the fuck!” Dorian said.
“The one who drugged Aelin?”
It was the night of the first picture, when her drink had been spiked. “I only looked away because you arrived,” Aelin breathed. “You helped him drug me?”
“Oopsie.”
Aelin gasped, Rowan tightening his arms around her as she felt her knees giving in. “You were going to help him sexually assault her?” He sneered.
Lysandra’s eyes widened, and she genuinely looked shocked, “Who the hell talked about sexual assault?”
“That’s usually what date-rape drugs are used for,” Aedion growled.
She rolled her eyes, “You’re all so dramatic. We just wanted information about her mother, at the beginning you were just a ploy. At least, until you got Arobynn fired. Then, who cared about the married women he had had an affair with? It was your head he wanted.”
An affair.
Oh, fucking Gods. A tear escaped her as Lysandra kept talking, kept detailing how Arobynn and her mother had had an affair for years, one that had ended less than a year ago. How both he and her mother stole money from the hospital, and how Arobynn sent a tip to the accountant of the hospital about it on the night of the dinner to get her fired as well.
“Wait,” Dorian breathed. “You sent me after Arobynn at Aelin’s parents’ house. Why?”
She shrugged, “Like I said, he’s a total asshole. Plus, if it wasn’t you, he would have done it,” she said, eyes on Rowan. “And I wasn’t quite done playing with Aelin, so I couldn’t have their secret blow up just then, could I?”
“You’re a monster,” Aelin breathed, voice shaking.
She rolled her eyes, “You’re pathetic.”
Aelin pulled away from Rowan’s hold, walking to Lysandra and stopped in front of the woman she had believed was her friend. “How did it feel? To get revenge? Was it worth the years you spent hating me when I didn’t even know your name? This is going to be the highlight of your miserable life, so I hope you enjoyed.”
Lysandra grinned, “I did. I also enjoyed toying with that pathetic cousin of yours, waiting like a dog for me to make the first move.”
“Good,” Aelin nodded, and took a deep breath. She didn’t even try to stop herself as her hand hit Lysandra’s cheek loud enough to echo through the room. The brunette’s eyes turned offended, and he was holding her cheek. “That’s for me.”
Then, Aelin slapped the other cheek. Harder. “That’s for my cousin.”
As she gasped, Aelin grabbed her hair and pushed her onto the dinner table, Lysandra letting out a grunt. “That’s for involving Rowan and Helia.”
Lysandra’s laugh was sour, but she didn’t try to physically fight back. “I hope you’ll enjoy playing house with that girl for a while, at least until you can.”
“Get the fuck out of here,” Rowan sneered. He looked in such pain now… And she knew him. Knew he wasn’t a violent man, had refused to be years ago. And yet… Yet he punched Chaol when he insulted her. But he couldn’t now, couldn’t do anything against a woman. His values made him unable to act.
“It’s my home, Whitethorn.”
“No, it’s not,” Dorian said, his voice hurt as well. He had known Lysandra since university, and if he had known she was that way… Gods, he must feel so hurt as well. Chaol was behind him, watching the scene with his eyes wide. Fuck, she and Rowan had hit the wrong guy. “You’re not welcome here. You deserve every moment of loneliness you’ll get.”
She looked at the room and huffed a laugh, “Sure, I have no more time to waste with you anyway. Both as pathetic as the other,” she added, looking between Aelin and Dorian.
Aelin didn’t look away as Lysandra walked out of the apartment as if she had won a battle, and when she looked at everyone’s face, maybe she had.
Aedion sat on the couch, looking worse than death. Maybe she should call her uncle, she wasn’t enough to deal with that.
“Sorry for hitting you,” she told Chaol, her voice barely louder than a whisper. “I need to lay down.”
“I’m not sorry,” Rowan added, following Aelin. She would have smiled if it was any other day. She didn’t pay attention to what the others were doing, instead going for her room.
But, before she could get in, Aedion called her name. She turned to face him, and tears were rolling down her eyes. “I’m sorry, Lin. I should have seen something, should have protect you.”
“She fooled everyone,” Dorian said, “It’s not on you. It’s on her and Arobynn only.”
“He’s saying the truth, Aed. I’m not mad at you. I’m sorry.” He knew why she was apologizing, for what Lysandra had done. For introducing them. He shrugged, pretending to be okay. But he wasn’t. She wasn’t either.
Rowan wrapped a hand around her shoulder, pulling her into her room and closed the door behind them. She had thought she would break down the moment the door closed, but she felt too empty for that.
“Why are you staying?” She asked.
“Because I’m scared for you. Because I love you.”
She couldn’t answer, couldn’t say anything. When she looked at him he must have seen how hollow her eyes were, “What are we going to do about that?”
“For tonight, you will rest. Then tomorrow we will handle it, okay?”
She didn’t have the energy to fight him on that, so she nodded. He took her hand and guided her to the bed, laid her beside him. He respected her space, didn’t stay too close to her. But close enough for her to feel his warmth.
She heard Aedion leave, and then heard Dorian and Chaol go to be. Minutes later, Rowan’s breathing settled into a rhythm, telling her he was asleep. But she couldn’t find sleep, couldn’t find any sense of peace as her mind kept working.
Slowly and carefully as to not wake Rowan up, Aelin got out of bed. She didn’t grab anything other than her handbag as she drove to the airport, and she couldn’t even find it in herself to smile as she asked for a plane ticket in direction of Terrasen.

Winx Club Next-Gen Guide
This was something I originally meant to make back in 2019, but for some reason I never got around to it. I believe part of the reason was because I was going to introduce new characters in it, but I also never got around to thinking about them more or working on them till recently(with help from @littlechaoticwitch, since I lost most of my old notes).
Since I have more ideas for those characters now, I thought I would finally make this! :3 Just a simple post with everyone's essential information. I am currently in the process of updating everyone and will be introducing the new characters in time, but I still wanted to post this so you all can know about them now in the meantime. I hope you enjoy! :D

Catgirl was sitting in front of her godfather Batman and spoke to him in sign language. He was listening to her explanation of why she won't talk about her grandmother's powers, the Lucky Girl was half alien and was a magic user. The Dark Knight held his hand up, which made the young girl stop immediately and nodded with an understanding look.
Batman knew her mother and father so well. His friends were loyal and nice to him that they let him hold their daughter, who's sitting on a chair in front of him at a conference room. The billionaire playboy was the first person who saw the symptoms and kept a sharp eye on his godchild, because Catgirl was staying silent about her pain.
"Eva, it's not good for you to hide your powers away and contain them against your will. That inhibitor collar has to come off your neck or they'll be no missions for you anymore, you're hurting yourself and not trusting what you can do. They saw how you can use magic, but this is what made you special and unique like your mother. Let me see your left arm," the Lucky Girl was hesitant and complies, rolling her long sleeve to reveal that the transformation has begun due to negative feelings and emotions. "I do truly appreciate your decisions of getting therapy from Dinah, yet you're still hiding yourself from the Team and not letting them have their pain back Eva. Your mother and her family was excellent help to you...just trust me on this and stop doubting yourself. Your insecurities will haunt you for the rest of your life if you don't tell the Team why you haven't been doing missions with them since wearing the Mask of Destiny and Helmet of Fate...please for the sake of your loved ones. We'll always love you for how caring, kind, loyal, and supportive you've been with all of us...including me."
Catgirl hugs him after pulling her sleeve down and covering the proof. Batman pats her back as she begins silently crying and sobbing. The Dark Knight let her break down into tears and hide her face from the view of Justice League members, who were part of the meeting about the Lucky Girl.
Once the meeting was over, Batman held her hand in his and ruffles her hair. Catgirl smiles sadly up at her godfather and nods. He lets her go back to Mount Justice and hears her designation number being called out.
"Bruce, I know you're worried about her like I am, that's why she got us and the rest." The Dark Knight sighs and hugs his best friend Astro Woman. "We gotta hope for the best and pray nothing bad happens over in the mountain, especially when Wally tends to surprise her the most."
Catgirl walks through the Boom Tube with her bag on her back and tired eyes. Her platinum white wig was miraculously stuck in a high ponytail and her matte black lipstick wasn't stained around her soft lips. The Team heard their teammate walking and saw the Lucky Girl still exhausted from last mission, which almost cost her life.
"Hey Cat, how's your meeting at the Hall of Justice?" Catgirl grumbled softly underneath her breath and tiredly plops onto Wonder Girl, who caught the Lucky Girl on time.
"You want me to carry you to your room Kitty?" The Lucky Girl nodded quietly and clung onto the female demigod's front.
Wonder Girl carries her back into her bedroom and gently set the younger girl onto her bed. Catgirl hums in appreciation and purrs softly as the Amazon warrior pets her head, coaxing her to fall asleep hard. As soon as Wonder Girl heard soft snores and deep breathing from the Lucky Girl, she smiles and puts a blanket over the young girl.
The female demigod carefully left the room and closed the door. Wonder Girl heads back to the lounge, raising an eyebrow at her boyfriend Aqualad and shaking her head no with a deep frown. The Atlantean soldier understood that look and knew it meant there's something wrong with their youngest member.
Ever since the Team was formed...Catgirl was the first heroine to be part of it, she lived in the mountain and was always doing her work at her bedroom due to personal spacing. The Lucky Girl got used to the Boy of Steel and would be his support system whenever he's having problems with Superman, which shocked the Justice League cause the young mute girl rarely let people rather than them and Red Arrow be close to her. The rest of the original members in the Team will treat her like a baby and always adore Catgirl for being independent.
For example...the Team came back wounded and hurt, she sprung from her chair in front of the Super Computer and took them to med bay. Wonder Girl managed to heal herself and helped the Lucky Girl with treating their comrades, though an appreciative comment from the Boy Wonder threw Catgirl's brain off so quick that she went redder than a strawberry. The three teenage girls never stopped pinching her rosy cheeks since that incident, what got the Lucky Girl on her feet and running away into her hiding places from the trio will be the words "DRESS-UP", and all four boys will chuckle from how the mute girl showed fear for the first time.
"Is Cat okay?" Superboy asked the female demigod, worrying about the mute girl who became a baby sister to him.
"The League took her to an important conference meeting this morning, based on her reaction...they wore her out." Robin answered for the Boy of Steel.
"Roy did claim to me that Cat's been keeping a secret from us, he thinks she's the mole...but seriously? If she was the traitor, how come she'll always return back in the mountain stressed out and exhausted? That's the most dumbest thing I'd ever heard," the Amazon warrior explained to them.
"Unless...we could...you know," the teenage speedster suggested, earning raised eyebrows and confused looks until they realize what Kid Flash was trying to suggest.
"Baywatch, Cat will never forgive us if we do that. That's her private diary, it has her personal life in it." Artemis told him, smacking him upside his head.
"First off...Ow! Secondly, don't act like you wanna know what she writes in it." Robin nodded in agreement and the rest was hesitant, but they finally agreed to their plan. "Now who's getting it and the key?"
The Team said "NOT IT" at different times, Robin groans in defeat s the rest gave him pointed looks and the Boy Wonder does the deed. He slowly hacks into the room and slides the door open, seeing the Lucky Girl curled up asleep in a tiny ball. Robin smiles and quietly awes at his crush's cuteness.
'Alright Robin, it's just a book. My crush's book of secrets, it can't be that bad.' The Boy Wonder thought as he sneakily took her book case with the key and leaves the dark bedroom without being noticed. 'Cat must be dead asleep from that meeting with our mentors, poor little kitten must be tired from all those mission reports as well to stack that much stress on her body.'
Robin silently closes the door and resets the password to her grandma's name. Kid Flash immediately takes his best friend to the living room and they high-five with proud grins on their faces. The Team sat down on their chosen spots as Miss Martian takes the book and opens the case with the key.
"This is so wrong in so many levels guys," the female archer said while seeing the front cover has a picture of her with the Team on it. "She got us on the front and the back...let's hurry and agree not to do this anymore."
The female Martian takes the personal book out from the case and sets the diamond box down. Catgirl's private diary was themed with black words, gray covers, white paper, and silver lining. Miss Martian gulps nervously and passes the book to Wonder Girl, who gave her best friend a wide-eyed look of disbelief.
"M'gann," the female demigod said with an offended look. "How could you? I'm not dying in the hands of a twelve year old girl...here Rob, you read it."
The Boy Wonder pouts at Wonder Girl and opens the book. Robin begins reading it out loud to his comrades, blushing when he finds out Catgirl got a crush on him and saw many insecure thoughts she has about herself. Red Arrow was wrong about the Lucky Girl, but they were beginning to feel concern on the mute girl's issues and problems.
"Ever since the League found out what was happening to me within the Helmet of Fate, I've been contacting my grandfather Kent through Nabu with my grandma's help and assistance with the Mask of Destiny. All the stress, fear, and pain was causing negative reactions to my powers and humanity. My father fixed one of those problems...that golden collar on my neck, it was containing my alien side from losing control and it sorta helped me. After twelve years of it on my neck, it's not working and was making it worse. The Team are starting to see signs of it, I've lost my appetite with food last week, I couldn't get sleep since a few months ago, and becoming much sensitive with my emotions on a daily basis that Batman forced me into therapy sessions with Black Canary. I'm afraid of the rejection and betrayal the people I cared the most think of me. There's five stages of it, I went through four of them, the fifth one will be most painful one cause this will damage me inside out and turn me into a monstrous freak. I got many anxiety attacks and went into panic mode during the meeting. I'm not relieved from it, not because my grandmother injected me with my painkillers and antidepressants...I had almost hurt the League. I know they're scared of me...who won't? After all, I'm nothing but a burden and a monster. Nobody can change that, not even the Team...I should probably run away and never return to Earth after tomorrow night when everyone's asleep. They won't be hurt anymore...especially when I'm gone far away from my grandmother's home planet." Robin read, closing it and putting it inside the black box.
The Boy Wonder locked the box shut and hung the key back onto its hook behind the case. Robin got up from his spot and walks to his crush's room. The Team watches their youngest male teammate slowly opens the door and sees that Catgirl was still resting.
Kid Flash ushers Robin out of the room and freezes when the Lucky Girl moves in her sleep. The rest drags the two boys out from her room before letting Superboy close the door shut and hearing it lock itself automatically. The Team frowns sadly as they stared at Catgirl's bedroom door and felt guilty for how they assumed that she's the mole.
The next day inside the mountain, Catgirl wakes up and does her daily routine before taking her prescribed medication. The Lucky Girl rolls up her long sleeves and gasps silently when she sees it got worse than ever from the nightmarish thoughts echoing her head. The mute girl takes a deep breath and hides the proof from view.
"Kitty, are you up yet?" Wonder Girl asked the Lucky Girl.
The young child quickly grabs her baggy jacket and a pair of black sweatpants to conceal how her casual clothes she loves wearing the most have vanished. Catgirl puts on her wig and applied her makeup before putting on her shades. The Lucky Girl heads out of her room with her bag strapped on her back with her diary case hidden inside it and walks to the kitchen for some fruit.
Once she found a green apple, the Black Cat vigilante took a bite from it and passes her teammates with a greeting wave. Catgirl pets Wolf and rubs Sphere gently with a softened look while going outside to the beach. The Lucky Girl begins absorbing some solar energy and feeling it generate some pure cosmic mana for her to devour by consuming the life-force phoenix within her inner self.
Inside the mountain, Robin begun hacking into the cameras and managed to get full access to the beach's ones. The Team watched Catgirl meditate by herself on a large rock and levitating, which made them shocked cause they thought it was all something she wrote behind their backs. The Lucky Girl used her mana to grab a bottle of nectar and drank the liquid, humming in content while she takes pure magic energy from the Sun and use the life-force from the Moon to try fixing her issues.
"Everything in that book was true, she does have powers." Kid Flash said.
The seven heroes noticed something glowing from her left side, the Team gasps in disbelied when Catgirl rolls up her long sleeves to reveal that her right arm was scarred and her left arm was encased with some kind of cosmic ice mana. They continued seeing the Lucky Girl getting distressed and on high alert. The mute girl begun taking deep breaths and slowly tries to calm down.
"That was her secret," their leader told them after understanding why she wore long sleeves and anything baggy.
"Recognize: Catgirl; B-0-0."
The Team froze to hear their beloved comrade's designation number called out by the Super Computer and knew she's behind them now. Wonder Girl slowly turns and sees Catgirl, who was looking scared and was actually frightened. The rest followed and knew by her scared expression that the Lucky Girl was caught red-handed.
"Cat, it's not what it looks like. We're worried about you," the Lucky Girl immediately flinches when Superboy takes a step forward and tries not to lose her composure.
"What was that on your arm?" Catgirl shook her head no while backing away and panting with a horrified look on her face.
"We're not gonna hurt you Kitty, we wanna help you get through this...just trust us okay?" Wonder Girl told her, following the mute girl and walking closer to the young child's personal space.
'Get away Opal, stay away from me.' Catgirl thought while shaking like crazy and trying not to lose control of her powers. 'Stay away from me, stay away from me, stay away from me...'
The Team could see that Catgirl was sweating from the fear and discomfort while she cuffs her hands together to keep her powers in check. The Lucky Girl's inner self was trying their best with her host and attempting to comfort the mute girl from the tension. As soon as Wonder Girl got closer, their six comrades grew concerned and wait for the next move.
"I said...STAY...AWAY...FROM ME!!!" An energy wave of mana was shot through her hands and hit Wonder Girl hard along with their loved ones, who groaned in pain from the magic blast.
'I hurt them,' the Lucky Girl thought with fear and guilt. 'I really am a monster...'
Robin watches Catgirl rushes into the Boom Tube through blurry eyes, hearing her call number and passing out with his six best friends. The Lucky Girl made it to her stop at the nearest subway station and luckily got herself a ticket. She sat down on the bench and wait for her subway train to come.
"Excuse me miss," the Lucky Girl turned to see some little kids and gave them a wave. "Do you got some food and water for us?"
Catgirl nodded, she begun taking out some sandwiches and bottles of water from her duffle bag. The kids thanked the mute girl and hugged her, which she responded with a pat on their backs and ruffling the hair on their heads. The Lucky Girl got her violin and thought about something to do for the children.
The selectively mute girl put her duffle bag to the side with a protective mana shield around it and stood on the bench. Catgirl thought about the hard times and good memories she have with the Team. The Lucky Girl takes a deep breath and begins playing her song.
Once the song ended, the people surrounding her applauded for her performance and put some money into her backpack. Catgirl bows for the crowd and hands some candy to the children, who cheered for her generous gifts to them. The Lucky Girl put her violin back in its case and heard her train number.
'Great, Raven and the rest are going after me too.' Catgirl thought as she heard her crow cawing ring tone for Raven, hanging up and setting her phone on silent mode.
Meanwhile near New York City, the Team couldn't find their Black Cat and won't give up searching for the mute girl. Catgirl's icy aura left some trails that leads to her and the seven sidekicks followed them to reach the fixed subway station underground at Manhattan. The Lucky Girl must've gotten down there for a train ticket and go somewhere else.
Around Broadway, Catgirl stepped onto her destination and gave a sincere smile to the people who helped her with her things. The Lucky Girl walked upstairs and saw the lights in amazement. The mute girl was relieved that her clothes she wore was back in her bag, but her gym clothes was affected by the transformation and was worrying her a lot.
The transformation was almost done, Catgirl got until midnight and the pain will fade from her body by replacing it with euphoria. Her inner alien side was keeping her stable from the toxicity of every environment and person she walks into by accident. The Lucky Girl tightens her cloak and vanishes into the shadows of night.
"Cat? Cat, where are you? Please come back home, we miss you." The Lucky Girl froze to hear the worry and saw the concerns of the Team's faces.
Catgirl gulps while looking at the mirror, seeing that it was getting darker and the metamorphosis was getting close to completion. She checks her watch and went scared...it was around eleven fifty-five at night, which meant her travel through New York City and its famous place must've been lasting longer than a hour. Catgirl kept her breaths silent and her heart couldn't stop beating like crazy.
The Lucky Girl suddenly shivers from the cold air and tries not to sneeze, which will trigger Superboy into finding her first. She held back the noise while sneaking away and going between a billboard. Catgirl sighs in relief until she lets out a sneeze, which sounds soft and cute like a kitten.
The Cadmus clone heard Catgirl's adorable sneeze, freezing and snapping his head at the billlboard. His six teammates followed his glance to the billboard where they were having a music award show and realized that she was in Broadway. Catgirl begun panicking with distress while her ice mana went into waves of energy and kept glowing bright like the stars in the sky.
"Kitty, please...for everyone's sake, just show yourself and we'll take you home...safe and sound." Catgirl scoffed from Wonder Girl's words in response, she sees a clear opening and takes a deep breath. "Cat...I don't wanna chase you all through morning, it's Saturday now and all I wanna do now...is sleep."
Catgirl's black pupils turned into slits and she let her transformation consume her completely after hearing her watch beep, signaling that it has struck midnight. The Lucky Girl starts flying in the air and the Team begun chasing her. Catgirl dodged the signs and construct some cold mana to block her loved ones from grabbing her.
The mute girl found herself flying to Central Park and hiding inside one of the cherry blossom trees, shifting into a white cat with blue eyes and black collar that has a silver bell on it. The Team reached there, they didn't see her use her witch arts to turn into a cat and climb up the blooming tree. Robin and Artemis saw ice footprints of a cat leading up to the tree they saw in front of them.
"Cat, please come down." Robin said, desperately begging for his crush to come down the tree.
"No! Go away!" Catgirl replied, refusing to come down and face her fifteen loved ones. "Y'all went through my book and spied on me to see my secret! I just wanna be left alone...like I'm always been."
The Boy Wonder begun climbing up the tree, seeing Catgirl as a domestic white feline heal herself with her mana to close the scars and burns away. Robin sees the burns on the cloak and knew they accidentally hurt her during their chase, which led to her using her magic for a portal as a transportation route to Central Park. Not only that, Catgirl took off the cloak and left it behind after it made her feel uncomfortable.
He kept his eyes alert while she shifts out of that form and reveals something...beautiful. The Lucky Girl was looking extraordinary within her final alien form and was trying not to have another anxiety attack. Catgirl felt a familiar presence close to her space, which meant her crush and destined mate have found her.
Tumblr media
The younger vigilante slowly turns and grew scared to see Robin staring at her form. She saw his hand reaching out for her and flinches out of fear. The Boy Wonder shushes her soft whimpers as he pulls her in a hug and she breaks down into tears.
"Shhh, it's okay Cat, we're not hurt, you're not alone." Robin said, comforting the Lucky Girl as she hiccups and sobs in his chest. "We're sorry for what we've done...please, just come home with us."
Catgirl closes her eyes and lets the Boy Wonder carry her out of the cherry blossom tree. The rest of the Team freezes to see the Lucky Girl went through her final transformation and became her true form. Robin cradles her close while she cries softly in his chest and clung onto him tight.
Catgirl slowly relaxes and turns to face the Team with her head down. When she raises her head up, Miss Martian was shocked to see an Anodite for the very first time and realized that bedtime stories about that alien species from her uncle were true...the Lucky Girl was one of them. The female Martian walks over to the shy girl and hugs her tight, causing Catgirl to freeze with shock and accidentally release a wave of mana from her body that made the rest of the Team relaxed.
'Oh you poor little thing,' the female Martian said to Catgirl in a telepathic link while holding Catgirl.
'Why M'gann,' the Lucky Girl whined while blushing and hugging her back. 'Conner, help me...she won't let me go now.'
Superboy joins the hug with the rest of their friends, Catgirl pouts at the alien couple in betrayal for their friendly affections on her and how it spread towards them. The Lucky Girl's inner felt the trust and safety within all fifteen sidekicks, leading for the shy girl to close her eyes in content. As soon as the Team pulled away, Catgirl opens her eyes and felt somebody holding her hand in theirs.
Robin squeezes it in reassurance before kissing her forehead and she squeaks, flustering madly while the rest smiles at the two vigilantes. Catgirl crosses her arms and grew a bit confident. The Boy Wonder sees the mischievous smile written on her lips and was suddenly floating around her cyan mana hair, staring at his crush in amazement for pulling that trick while their loved ones watched the two from above.
"You're beautiful Cat, I wish I could've help you with your pain." Robin told her softly while she hugs him and hums with a bright grin on his face.
"You and the Team did that, I can actually sense the genuine worry and concern y'all have for me. I finally realized that I wasn't alone anymore, I have all of you...especially you pretty bird." Catgirl replied before kissing him passionately and smiling when Robin kisses her back.
The two pulled away as the Lucky Girl helped them both safely on lower ground and smiled at each other, chuckling at the romantic scenario with amusement. Robin was about to kiss her again when Kid Flash cheekily takes Catgirl and zooms away from his best friend. The Boy Wonder gawks at the speedster in shock as he storms after him and tries to grab his Black Cat back.
"Did you get your picture now Artie?" Artemis nodded with a victorious smirk and sends it to Roy with the money signs on it.
"Told that jerk Robin will be her first kiss, he lost big time." Her four comrades chuckled before heading into the Bio-Ship with their female archer.
Robin came back with Catgirl over his shoulder and back in her human form at last, setting her down by his side. Kid Flash sped up and went in the ship next. The two vigilantes smile before stepping into there and holding hands together...as a young couple.

The heads of the Bakugou tribe, their son, and his right-hand man head west to the mountain range to meet the Firebeards and hopefully establish some connections with the powerful tribe.
“Behave when we get there, brat,” Mitsuki warns Katsuki just before the ship docks, and men with bright red hair and tan skin tie the ship off.
A tall woman in regal green and gold robes greets them, bowing her head. “Bakugous. Please follow me and you will be taken to the castle.”
Katsuki can’t help but notice how big everyone is with the same blazing red hair with skin in various shades of brown or tan. They wave at them as the carriage passes, happy to receive visitors.
Lush rolling green hills, rice fields, and crops are everywhere with simple stone houses. They're simple people, quiet and keeping to themselves. Rarely ever going to war unless absolutely necessary, preferring to sort out their problems through trade and meetings.
The royal home is a massive open space building made of white marble with gold accents and silk curtains with the family crest. The king is waiting for them with his two wives, grinning brightly when they arrive.
“Good to see you, Mitsuki!” He booms, clasping the queen's arm in a friendship grip. “I hope the trip wasn’t too much trouble.”
“It was fine, thank you, Ira. This is my husband, Masaru and my son Katsuki. And this is his friend, Izuku.”
The three men bow their heads in reverence.
“Pleasure to meet you. These are my wives, Ember, my first wife and Hestia my second. My youngest son is Blaze.”
Ember is a gorgeous woman with skin the colour of rich bark and red locs tied up away from her face. Her red eyes are like a cat; narrow and focused.
Hestia’s complexion is a little lighter, with gold markings on her exposed arms. Her curly red hair flows freely around her shoulders. The baby on her hip looks just like her but with brown eyes instead of green.
They nod their heads.
Ira looks around expectantly. “My two oldest children are supposed to join us but I have no idea where they’ve run off to. They’re about your son's age so I do hope they’ll be great friends.”
Two sets of tiny feet patter on the ground and approach Ira, tugging his robes. “Daddy! Eiji and Y/n got into a fight!” They say simultaneously.
Ira pets them. “Thank you for telling me. Ember?”
She nods and briskly walks off towards the entrance. The twins stared at the visitors, hiding behind Ira’s robes.
“Your children are precious,” Masaru smiles, waving at them, and the girl waves back. The boy looks a little more hesitant.
The small group walks through the castle towards the throne room.
“Do you have any more?” Hestia asks Mitsuki.
“Nope, just this idiot here.” She points at Katsuki.
“Hag,” he mutters and Izuku chuckles.
“How many do you have? If you don’t mind me asking.”
“Eight each,” Ember says proudly. “Hopefully more soon.”
“Damn…good for you.”
As they sit in the throne room, Ember comes back with two people in tow. The man is massive like his father with the same red hair and tan skin, and the girl looks like Hestia but with darker brown skin and red locs like Embers. She’s just as tall as her brother, with deep curves and some defined muscle in her arms.
They both look a little bruised up, and the white wrap around your chest has blood splattered on it.
“Ah, they’re here.” Ira gestures. “These are my eldest. Y/n and Eijirou. How was it?”
“I knocked that bitch out!” You grin, showing off custom gold teeth caps.
“Did you?” Ira asks, and you come over to him.
“And I lost a tooth, see?” You open your mouth to show off your missing molar.
“Did you replace it?”
“Tenfold!”
“That’s my girl!” He hugs you sideways. “Everyone, this is y/n, my first born and future queen and Eijirou, he was born a month after.”
“Nice to meet you all.” You greet.
Mitsuki looks lost. “Queen? I thought the first son is the heir?”
“We don’t do that here. First come first served,” Ira laughs. “On with the meeting then?”
You sit next to Katsuki, towering a little over him even in the chair.
“Hi,” you smile at him, and his ears turn pink.
Katsuki grunts, turning away as his face starts to heat up.
You reach out and touch his spiky hair. “I like your hair. It’s very interesting. You’re so small.”
“I am not small!”
“If you lived here, you would be. Do not worry, it'll make you special.” You pat his head again.
“Tch, whatever.”
After the meeting between your families, you yawn and stretch your arms over your head. “That was so boring.”
“Tell me about it,” Eijirou mutters. “Wanna go back down to the village?”
“After a bath.”
You and your brother stand up and start to leave.
“Where are you two going?” Ember asks.
“Baths then village for the festival.”
Ira claps. “Excellent, you should take our guests with you!”
You and Eijirou groan. “Do we have to?” Eijirou whines.
“Yes,” Ember says.
“But the green one’s so…frail. He’ll break.”
“I’m not weak! I’ve beat Katsuki in a fight a couple times!” Izuku squeaks.
“Shut up, Deku.”
“It’ll be fun. Show them our little games,” Ember encourages. “Take Tyson and Agni with you.”
“Not the fucking twins,” you grumble. “Fine.”
“We heard that!” they shout from down the hall.
“I know, you fuckin eavesdroppers. Let’s go, Eiji.”
“And watch your mouth!” Hestia huffs.
“Mom, I’m twenty one.”
“Still!”
“Ugh, fine. You two meet us at the front gate in an hour. Tyson and Agni will meet you there. Don’t answer anything they ask you.”
Izuku nods.
Katsuki rolls his eyes and watches you and Eijirou leave, eyes drifting to your hips, ears turning pink as your butt jiggles beneath your skirt.
“Katsuki?” Masaru gently calls. “Something you wanna say?”
“What? No!”
“Mhm.”
*
Izuku and Katsuki wait at the castle entrance, watching the people do their daily business. Katsuki ignored the occasional stares from some of the townspeople as Izuku wrote notes down in his journal.
“Did you seriously bring that thing with you?”Katsuki scoffs.
“I think it’s cool,” a voice chimes in, startling the two.
“Who are you?” The girl with red braids waves. “I’m Agni. The guy about to tackle your friend is my twin brother Tyson.”
“The hu—Ah!”
A tall redhead tackles Izuku to the floor. “Hi! You guys look weird! Where are you guys from? What’re your names? Can you fight?”
“Please get off of me,” Izuku mumbles shyly.
“Sorry.” Tyson stands up and helps Izuku. “You guys are weird. Why’re you so pale?” He winces when Agni smacks him over the head.
“Don’t just ask people that, stupid.”
He punches her in the shoulder, and they start arguing.
“Hey! Stop fighting!” You shout, pulling them away by their hair. “I’ll tell Ma.”
“No!” They protest. “We’ll stop.”
“Idiots.” You knock their heads together.
“Ow!”“ You're so mean!”
“I’m not mean. I just keep you and thirteen other children in check. Stop bugging the visitors. Did Tyson make you eat bugs?”
“No, he tackled me but I’m okay,” Izuku smiles.
A small brown-skinned girl with two ruby-colored puffs in her hair runs up to you. “Bisa! Where go?”
“I’m taking our guests to the village for the festival, Helia.”
“I go too!” She hugs your leg.
“Did you ask your Mama?”
“No?”
Eijirou picks her up. “You can’t go, you’re too small.” He pokes her nose. His whole hand could probably cover her entire head. “When you’re big like me, you can go to the festival.”
“But then I no go with you and Bisa. Want go too,” she whines.
You rub her back. “Okay, go ask your Mama, and we’ll wait for you. Okay?”
“Kay!”
Eijirou puts her down, and she runs inside. “Wait here, Kay?”
“We’re waiting.”
When she’s inside, both of you sigh in relief. “Ma will never let her.”
“Now, let’s get going before the best part of the festival begins,” Eijirou smiles, wrapping an arm around Izuku’s shoulders before leading him down the path.
Agni and Tyson run ahead, leaving you and Katsuki to walk together.
“So, you’re a prince, huh?” You ask Katsuki.
“Yup! The best in my region.”
“Bold claim for someone so small.”
“Well, not everyone is a giant like your people.”
“Wait…not everyone looks like us?  I quite like that.”
“Really?”
“Yes! Tiny enemies are easy to crush.” You clench your fist in his face.
Katsuki felt the blood rush to his cheeks and his groin simultaneously. ‘Holy shit…’
“Are you alright?”
“Yes, I’m fine. Let's just get to the festival.”
You poke his cheek. “I had no idea your people turned red. Interesting.”
“I’m not red!” Katsuki grumbles.
“But your cheeks are red, and your ears are pink. You can change colours?  Eiji, they change colours!” you shout, loud enough for him to hear.
“I know!” Eijirou shouts back. “This one’s been red this whole time.”
“I’m not red, dammit!”
“Alright. The village is just over this hill.”
After a while, the six of you made it to the village, Izuku writing furiously in his notebook while looking at the festival decor.
“What are you doing?” Eijirou asks.
“I’m taking notes,” Izuku smiles.
“Why?”
“I’ve only read about your island in books, and there isn't much about your lifestyle on the records. I want to learn more about you, your family and your people.”
“What are you going to use with this? Are you planning to attack us?”
“What?!” Izuku stammers, frantically shaking his head. “No, no, no! Not at all!”
“Then why write down everything about our people?”
“To learn more. I promise that no harm will come to you because of what I write.”
You snatch the book and look at it. “Weird. Look at all of the greenie’s little drawings.” Tossing the book over Izuku’s head, Eijirou catches it and reads some words. “Ooh, is that me? My name’s in here! ‘Eldest son, Eijirou, is tall and handsome. Ooohhhh!”
“Am I in there?” You catch the book again, skimming through but don’t see anything. “Ugh, nothing. What, I’m not interesting enough for your book?”
“No, your highness. I-I mean, I haven’t had the chance to write about you but I will!”
You hand him back the book and ruffle his hair. “Don’t worry about it, do whatever you want. Let’s just enjoy the festival. There’s lots of things to do. We have games, food, and the ring.”
“The…ring?” Izuku asks.
Tyson gasps excitedly. “We can show you.”
After getting tugged along by the twins, the duo sees ‘the ring’, which is just a circular space dedicated to exclusively fighting. A woman and man wrestle in the middle while the spectators cheer and drop coins on a table to place bets.
You push your way through and lean on the fence, watching the fighters. “Oh, it’s Nuria! Kick his ass, Nuria!”
The woman sees you and waves quickly before kicking the man in the face. He wobbles a bit and falls down on his back, out cold. A few people groan and cough up the money, and the others cheer, happy to have won.
“That’s my girl!” You cheer, high-fiving her. Nuria spits the blood in her mouth onto the sand and grins. “Hey, you two.”
“Nuria’s so cool,” Agni swoons dreamily.
“We have guests,” Eijirou points at Katsuki and Izuku.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Nuria.”
“She’s the best!” You smile. “Only one who’s ever beaten me in a fight.”
“I’m the reason she has that scar on her nose!” Nuria boasts.
“And I’m the reason you couldn’t fight last year,” you smirk.
“Yeah, yeah. I’m gonna go get some Flame Punch. Meet me at the stand later?”
“Definitely!”
She hops over the fence to collect her winnings and get her drink.
“I wanna enter!” Tyson begs. “Pleaseee!”
“You’re too young. You’d get thrown out of the ring and Mom’ll have my head. Go to the kids' side.”
They whine and protest but go anyway.
You hop over the fence and step into the centre. “I’m ready!”
Some fighters back up, looking away from you, but the others look excited.
“The Princess returns, folks! After abruptly leaving earlier because her mumsy, the lovely queen Hestia, had to get her,” the announcer snickers.
You flip him off. “Fuck you, Nina!”
“Oohh, scary. Who’s willing to go home with some broken bones today?”
You look around and point at a woman in the crowd. “You! Fight me!”
She hides behind a man who looks down at her with a smile, and the people chuckle.
“Nobody wants to make any money tonight?! Still scared from my earlier fight, huh?”
“Of course they are. The girl’s still looking for her teeth.”
“I’ll do it,” a stocky man with short locs volunteers, hopping into the ring. “Let’s get this over with.”
“Oh yes,” you lick your lips, holding your fists up.
Izuku watches closely, taking notes. “Will she be okay?”
Eijirou nods. “She’ll be fine. Don’t embarrass me!”
“Eat an ass!”
Nina whistles for everyone to quiet down. “Okay, you know the rules. Anything goes, just don’t kill each other and no groin damage.”
“Yeah yeah! Let’s go!”
“Everyone placed their bets? Good! Let’s get this started!” Nina rings a bell, and you spring into action.
Katsuki watches you rush the guy and side-step him when he tries to grab you. You land a right hook to his face and cheer loudly, punching him again. Swooping your leg, you knock him down and punch him in the face before he pushes you off, kicking you in the stomach. You wheeze and roll away before he steps on you, standing back up.
“Not bad,” you chuckle breathily.
“Sorry to do this to you, princess,” he smiles, wiping the blood from his nose.
Charging at you again, he raises his fist and swings as you duck and run behind him before roundhouse kicking his cheek as he turns around, disorienting him, then kicking him with the other leg, effectively knocking him out as he falls backward, and landing face first in the ground.
“One! Two! Three! Four! Five! He’s out cold folks! The princess wins again! Are we surprised?”
A couple people groan as the rest of the crowd cheers. You wipe the blood from your nose and grin at Eijirou and your audience. “Thank you, thank you. You’ve been great!” Getting ready to step out of the ring, you stop when Katsuki steps in, handing Izuku his cloak.
“What’s this?! Another challenger?! He’s kind of small, though….” Nina announces as some people in the crowd laugh.
“Oh, you have got to be—I am not small!”
“...whatever. Anyone placing bets on the short stack?”
The silence in the crowd is so loud as Eijirou walks over to Nina and silently bets on you to beat Katsuki.
“This’ll be short…alright, begin!”
The bell rings, and Katsuki springs off from the sand towards you. It happens so fast; he feels pain blossom in his eye before something grabs his neck, and then he’s looking up at the orange sky.
“That’s a new record! For the shortest match time and longest anyone’s ever lasted with the Princess! Give it up for the runt!”
The crowd erupts in cheers as Izuku rushes over after writing the details of the fight and helps you take Katsuki out of the ring.
“Kacchan! Are you okay?!” Izuku asks, checking on him.
Katsuki groans, holding the side of his head. “What the fuck happened?”
“You lost….” you chuckle.
“Was it embarrassing?”
“...no?” Eijirou chuckles, holding a sack of coins.
“You bet against me?!” you gasp.
“What?! No! I was low on pocket funds, and I wanted to play some games and win a prize.”
You roll your eyes and examine the blooming bruise around Katsuki’s eye. “You’ll be fine. I didn’t expect you to step into the ring, you’ve got balls.”
“Course I fuckin’ do! I’m the…” he trails off, feeling dizzy.
“Uh oh, don’t fall asleep.” You pat his cheeks. “Come on, I’ll take him to the castle to rest up.”
Katsuki feels you pull him to his feet and lift him onto your shoulder. “Oh my god. You’re strong.”
“Thank you,” you smile.
The whole way back, he rambles sleepily, which is good. At least he’s still conscious.
“Tired.”
“You’ve said it repeatedly.”
“Lemme sleep,” he whines.
You bounce him on your shoulder. “No, you can rest at the castle. I’ll ask my father to get the healer to check on you.”
“I don’t wanna go! I wanna stay with you!”
You laugh. “When you wake up, sure.”
“Noooooo, lemme stay with the sexy lady!!!!” he complains.
“You think I’m sexy?”
“And hot.”
When you get to the castle, Ira is in the middle of showing Mitsuki and Masaru where they would be sleeping.  The youngest triplet with him, Stella, giggles and points at your figure. “Daddy, look.”
“What happened?!” Mitsuki shouts, checking on Katsuki.
“He tried to fight me in the ring and I accidentally hit him too hard. He’ll be fine. What room is he in?”
“That’s my girl! Third spare.”
“He needs a healer though.” You carry him down the hall to the second biggest spare room, laying him on the bed. “There you go. Don’t die.”
“I won’t. Gotta kiss you first,” he chuckles before drifting off.
You stifle a laugh and leave, shutting the oak door behind you. Helia and her sister, Tana, run up to you. “Bisa! You fibbed!”
“Huh?”
Helia pouts. “You say you wait but no wait!”
“Fibber!” Tana repeats, red twists swishing.
“I didn’t fib. I knew Ma wouldn’t let you go because you’re too small. But how about I take you during the day tomorrow? You too, Tana.”
“Yah!”
Hestia rounds the corner, holding baby Blaze. “I’ve told you to stop lying to her.”
“Mom, it’s not a lie! I was gonna go with her, but I knew Ma would say no because it’d be past her bedtime by the time we’d get back.”
The girls hug her legs, giggling. “Mama, hungry!”
“Dinner will be ready soon. Where’s Eijirou?”
“Still with the twins. Shit, I have to meet Nuria! Bye mom!” You rush down the hall.
“Tell her I said hi!”
“I will!” you shout as you rush out the doors towards the village. Panting heavily, you finally make your way to the stand.
“I made it,” you pant.
“Hey,” Nuria chuckles, handing you the wooden mug. “Saw your fight, hope you didn’t kill him.”
“Nah, I think I fucked up his head a little though….” you chuckle. “Carried him back to the castle and he was babbling like a brook. Said I’m sexy. Cheers.”
Both of you click mugs and down the hot drink, wincing at the burn. “Oh wow, it gets better every year.”
“I gotta figure out how to make this all year round,” Nuria coughs, drinking the rest.
“So you can be drunk all the time?”
“It’s fun. You like me drunk.”
She brushes one of your locs back. “You’re right.”
“You want to come back to my place?”
“I thought you and Brenton were still together?”
She rolls her eyes. “We broke up a month ago, but he won’t get over himself. I don’t really feel like dealing with him. He’s kind of an ass. But we’ll deal with him if he tries anything.”
“In that case.” You smile as you link your arm with hers. “Lead the way.”
*
The following day, Katsuki wakes to a maid pulling his curtains open. The light hurts his eyes, and he hisses, pulling the blanket over his face. “Fuck off!”
The maid giggles and stands next to the bed. “It’s time to wake up, your highness. Breakfast is served and you’ll have to take special herbs for your headache.”
Katsuki peeks out at her, frowning.
“Oh that’s a shiner,” she mumbles. “Take your time.” She scurries out.
He reluctantly gets up, checking his face in the mirror. Luckily his eye isn’t swollen, but there’s already a purple bruise around it. Are your bones made of metal?
Changing into more casual trousers and a linen shirt, he steps out and nearly gets tripped by two kids in silk nightgowns. They stop at one of the numerous doors, knocking their little hands on it. “Big brother! Time to wake up!”
Eijirou opens the door shortly after, scratching his stomach. “Hey you two!”
Helia and Tana squeal in delight when he puts his arms down for them to cling to and carry them. “Wanna help me wake the others?”
“Yah!”
Eijirou finally sees Katsuki standing in the hall. “Good morning!”
“Mm.”
“Did you sleep well?”
“As best as I can with this.” He points at his eye. The girls on Eijirous shoulders giggle.
“Sorry bout that, breakfast will cheer you up. Come on.”
Katsuki follows Eijirou down the halls, watching the massive man knock on the doors. Each door is carved with the names of what child is occupying it, and the twins and triplets share rooms. Simple enough.
“Elio, wake up!” Eijirou shouts in front of one. It opens, and a skinny boy in linen sleep pants opens it, yawning. “I’m up.”
“It’s your turn to get Blaze.”
“Ugh, fine.” He slams the door shut.
“How do you keep up with them?” Katsuki asks.
“It’s actually really easy! They listen to me and y/n so we don’t have to work too hard. Of course the youngest kids have nursemaids to help out and the older ones are there to help us out so overall, it’s pretty easy.”
The dining table is long. Long enough for the whole family and some guests, heaped with different breakfast items from the kitchen. Hestia and Ember are already there, watching to see if everything is perfect.
“Mama!” “Mommy!” Helia and Tana squeal, running to the two women.
“Good morning, love.” Hestia smiles, squatting to kiss Tana’s cheeks. “Did you sleep well?”
“Yes Mama.”
Ember touches Helia’s nightgown. “But you’re not dressed, did you run away?”
The girls giggle mischievously to themselves. On cue, a maid comes running into the room. “There you two are! I’m so sorry, my queens.”
Helia and Tana try to run again, but Ember holds their arms. “No, bath time. Celeste?”
“Noooo!” The twins whine.
Celeste grabs them, pulling them away with a scold.
“Eijirou?” Hestia calls out.
“Yeah ma?”
“Where’s your sister?”
“Which one?”
“You know damn well which one. Where’s y/n?”
“She went out to get flame punch with Nuria yesterday.”
“Did she come back?”
Eijirou shrugs and sits near the head of the table.
“Hello Katsuki,” Ember nods at him. “How’s your eye?”
“Hurts like shit,” he hisses.
“Oh you’ll be fine, just walk it off. By the looks of it, she went easy on you.”
“That was easy?!”
Hestia sighs fondly. “I remember her first fight. She was so cute. My little warrior.”
“So do I, cause she beat me up,” Eijirou huffs.
The rest of the kids shuffle in and take their seats. For so many people, it’s surprisingly organised. Elio brings in Blaze, handing him to Hestia.
“Aww, my baby. Sorry for waking you,” she coos, poking his nose.
Blaze yawns, softly gripping her finger before resting his face in her neck.
Mitsuki, Masaru and Izuku finally join. Greeting everyone.
“You can sit by me!” Eijirou calls Izuku over. “Get up.” He tells his brother in the chair.
Hagan glares at Eijirou. “What? No!”
Eijirou shoves him off the chair to the floor. “What the fuck!”
“Language!” Ember calls out.
“Sit next to Egan.”
Hagan pouts and stands up, going to sit in the empty seat next to his younger brother.
“Now if I knew where my daughter was, we could have a perfect breakfast.”
“Morning my loves,” Ira grins, kissing both Hestia and Ember on the cheeks, “and my baby boy.” He picks up Blaze, kissing his cheeks and smiling when he babbles softly. Silently counting the heads at the table, excluding his guests. “Where’s my little champion?”
“Sucking face with Nuria,” Hagan snickers with Egan.
“Women will be her downfall,” he chuckles, sitting at the table head.
“How do you know?” Hestia asks.
“Cause we saw them sneaking in together.” They both say.
“Us too,” Agni and Tyson repeat.
“And nobody decided to tell us?” Ember groans. “Children these days.”
“I know exactly how you feel,” Mitsuki acknowledges.
About ten minutes later, you walk into the dining hall with Nuria, chatting excitedly to yourselves.
“Nice of you to finally join us,” Hestia says, cutting into her eggs. “Hello Nuria, how’s your mother?”
“She’s doing well, Queen Hestia.” “Morning, mom. Ma, Dad, and everyone else.” You wave. “Bye Nuria~.”
She pats your butt playfully and giggles before she makes her way to the exit. You walk up to the seat between Hestia and Katsuki. “Udia, I wanna sit here.”
“But I was here first!” She whines, puffing out her cheeks.
“And I was born first, get up.”
She huffs, sticks her tongue at you, and takes her plate, sliding off the seat to sit next to Ira so you can take her place.
“I gave you a shiner!” You laugh at Katsuki. “You look cooler now.”
Katsuki scoffs and rolls his eyes. “Whatever,” he scoffs. “What’re you eating?”
“Eggs and Sausages.” You rub your hands and reach for the sausage platter, smacking Hagan’s hands when he tries to take it.
“Ow!” Hagan huffs. “Is today ‘Get Bullied By Your Older Sibling Day’ or something?!”
“Is there any left?” Katsuki asks.
“Yeah, the maids cook a lot considering there’s nineteen of us. Now twenty-three since we have your family and your little note taker as guests.”
“That’s fair,” he mumbles, reaching for a bread roll.
After he eats half of his breakfast, you ask him about Yuuei.
“Hey, Katsuki? What’s your home like? Is everyone small and cute?”
‘Did she just call me cute, or is she just saying that about people like me,’ he thinks. “Some are but some are tall. Normal people, kinda boring.”
“Do you also have dragons?”
“You have dragons?!”
“Duh. In the mountains. They’re nice to us as long as we don’t bother them too much. I found one as a child and she lives in a cave not too far from here, you should see!”
“...whatever,” Katsuki grumbles, eating more of his breakfast before feeling a small pat on his leg. “Huh? What do you want?”
Looking down at your five-year-old sister, Shula holds up a muffin cake with a smile, two of her front teeth missing.
“For me? What is it?”
Leaning over, you giggle softly. “It’s a muffin cake. The younger ones love them. Guess Shula wants to share it with you.
Katsuki takes it, inspecting the little wrapper with the cake. “Thanks.”
Shula waves at him, then runs back to her seat.
“That was sweet,” you smile. “Go ahead and try it, they’re really good.”
Katsuki reluctantly takes a bite, humming at the sweetness of it. “S’good. Is that syrup in the middle?”
“There’s more of them next to the sausages, I think. Can you pass me one?”
Taking two of the wrapped cakes from the table, he hands one to you before unwrapping and biting into the other.
As you bite into the cake, you feel a large drop of syrup spill onto your hand. Groaning softly at the sweet taste of the syrup, you’re blissfully unaware of Katsuki watching you lick your hand and suck your fingers as his ears turn red.
Agni notices and leans in. “His ears are turning red again!”
The kids all turn to Katsuki and ‘ooh’ in amazement.
“Papa, you never said people were like color lizards! That’s so cool,” Flint grins.
“Wow!” Stella, Udia and Tanwen chorus.
You giggle softly as he covers his face before Ember speaks up.
“Alright, children. That's enough. Don’t be disrespectful towards our guests.”
They all chorus their own forms of apologies.
Hestia chuckles and rubs her stomach. “Ooh, I’m feeling nauseous again.”
“Are you still sick?” Ira asks, holding her hand over the table.
“It’s probably just something I ate, don’t worry.”
“You’ve been like this for over a week, love. Go lay down. I’ll get the healer to check on you.”
“Thank you. Behave yourselves today. Especially you, Y/n. You too, Elio.” She excuses herself and makes her way out.
Elio sighs in exasperation while you subtly roll your eyes.
“Mama?” Blaze calls, reaching for her.
Ira holds his tiny fist with two fingers. “Mama isn’t feeling well. You’ll get to see her later.”
Blaze whimpers softly and looks up at Ira. “Wa Mama…” he sniffles.
“You could spend the day with Y/n and me. I’m sure you’ll like that.”
“Blaze! Look at me!” You call to the baby, wiggling your fingers. “Don’t you wanna be with your Bisa?”
Blaze looks at you and coos softly before smiling and reaching for you. “Bisa!”
You take him from your father’s arms and boop his nose before feeding him the rest of his breakfast.
“Say ‘ahh’,” you coo.
Blaze opens his mouth for the rice porridge and claps his hands happily when he eats it, humming with you.
“Little cutie. Ahh.”
“‘Ahh!” Blaze copies and continues eating the porridge.
“Good boy,” you coo. “You’re so cute! Yes, you are.”
Continuing to feed him, you eventually burp him and tickle his stomach, smiling as he giggles.
“Bisa! Wuv Bisa!” he babbles, smiling when he makes your smile wider.
“I love you too. You get to spend the day with me. Katsuki?”
Katsuki pulls his gaze away from you and Blaze, “Huh?”
“I have duties to perform with my dad, so is it okay if we go and visit the dragon after unless you would like to join me?”
“Oh, sure,” Katsuki mumbles before his face turns even redder as Blaze curiously tries to tug down your wrap giving him a flash of your chest.
“Hey! No, Blaze, don’t do that!” You scold, holding the wrap against your chest. “Bad baby, bad.”
Blaze giggles and tries again, stopping when you tug his hand away.
“No. No. Dammit.” You take the wrap off, shake it out, and cover yourself with it again.
“I’ll meet you in the throne room. I need to go use the restroom,” Katsuki grumbles, ears and cheeks a pale flamingo pink.
“Okay then, see you—”
He’s already up before you finish, pulling his shirt down over his front as he leaves.
“Hm, strange.”
*
Dressing in your royal robes, you take one last look at yourself before tying your hair up with gold clips. It’s a red silk dress layered with a green cloak embroidered with the family crest, all held together by a wide black belt. You uncover Blaze’s head from the blanket and smile when he looks at you and reaches for you.
“Bisa peby,” he babbles.
“You think I’m pretty? Aww, thank you,” you coo and adjust his own little green cloak and robe. “Let’s go see dad.”
Ira meets you both at the foot of the stairs and smiles. “You look beautiful.”
“I feel hot.” You let him kiss your forehead.
“Glad to know you like the robes, my little warrior. And this little menace is so handsome. Who’s Papa’s handsome little menace? You are! Yes, you are~,” Ira coos, picking up Blaze and tickling his tummy. “Shall we?”
“Yup.” You start walking down the hall.
“The Bakugou’s will be joining us but the son hasn’t left his room since breakfast so I assume he’s skipping. What could you possibly have told him?”
“I didn’t do anything, honest! Maybe he’s not used to the way we live.”
“What did you do?”
“I took off my top during breakfast to readjust it cause Blaze kept pulling at it, but that’s normal, right?”
“Not for them. Did you not notice how their son and his friend reacted?”
“No? I was focused on fixing it and feeding Blaze, why?”
Ira hums knowingly. “You realise he finds you attractive, right?”
“I figured, most people do.”
“You could use that to your advantage~” he sing songs
“True. But he’s so tiny.”
“You’ll figure it out. Let’s finish soon, I promised the twins I’d come for their tea party later.”
After the meeting between both of your families, you change back into your comfortable wrap skirt and top to wait for Katsuki to meet you in the throne room. After about fifteen minutes, he still hasn’t shown up so you take Blaze, who you’ve placed in a sling around your back and wander around the castle. The triplets door is open and you can hear loud giggles and chatter coming from it. The triplets must’ve gotten some poor rabbit again.
You look inside, surprised to see Katsuki sitting on the ground with Stella putting ribbons in his hair while Udia and Tanwen are braiding and putting glass beads in his long strands.
“Then I saw the baker man kissing the locksmith, but the locksmith has a wife !” Tanwen finishes her story.
“No!” Katsuki gasps.
“Uh huh. But—but I ran away cause they saw me. Don’t tell mama!”
“Your secret’s safe with me.”
“Wait, are you talking about the locksmith near the dock? Flint said he and his wife are di—div—hmph,” Udia huffs.
“Divorced?” Katsuki helps.
“Yes! That one! Because he doesn’t like girls anymore. Dunno why though.”
“Girls are pretty but so are boys!” Stella smiles.
“Yeah!” They chorus.
Clearing your throat, you lean against the door with a smile as Katsuki hides his face in his hands.
‘Why now?!’ Katsuki groans internally.
“Having fun, girls?”
“Hi Bisa!” Udia smiles, finishing one of the long braids. “Bakugou said we can do his hair, isn’t he pretty?”
“Mhm, very pretty. But he’s gonna have to go now, we’re going to see Mina.”
“Awww,” they whine and start taking off the beads but leave the braids.
“You can play with him tomorrow, girls.”
“Aww, whyyy?” Tanwen whines.
“Because I said so. Let’s go.”
Katsuki takes out the rest of the ribbons and hands them to the girls. “We’ll meet later today. You still owe me the ending of that locksmith story.”
Stella and Udia nod eagerly.
Following you out of their room, Katsuki waves at them before noticing the extra wrap around your waist and chest. “What's with the extra wrapping?”
You turn and show him Blaze asleep, cheek squished against your back.
‘She’s “mean” but really cares about her siblings. Hell she looks like a mother with that baby on her back.’ Katsuki thinks as his mind slowly wanders to you both pregnant and carrying two tiny brown bundles, one with red hair and the other a ash blonde.
“How long has he been asleep?”
“Half way through the meeting until now. He’s coming with us cause Mina loves him.”
Katsuki nods as he follows you out of the castle towards the forest. “How exactly did you meet, ‘Mina’? Did you name her or was that her given name?”
“I was hunting one day and I saw an injured hatchling. It was her. She got caught in a boar trap and I helped her out of it. I nursed her back to health and now we're best friends. In our language, her name translates to Mina.”
“Oh. By the way, the little brat's up.”
“Buh,” Blaze babbles softly.
“Good morning to you, too. We're gonna see Mina, are you excited?”
“Daga? Daga!” he giggles and you can feel his little feet kicking.
“Easy, easy! We'll see her soon,” you chuckle as you both make your way deeper into the forest before stopping at a dark cave entrance.
“Are you sure it wasn't some giant lizard you saved?”
“Dragons are real. Can you cover his ears? The call is pretty loud.”
“Whatever,” he scoffs, covering the baby’s ears.
You clear your throat before inhaling and letting out a loud, guttural growl that echoes through the stone walls, scaring away a couple birds in the trees and making Katsuki's stomach drop.
‘This one. I want this one. Fuck, I'm in love.’ he thinks.
A moment or two later, loud thuds ring through the cave and a gust of wind nearly knocks the two of you over.
“Mina!” You yell. “You bitch, get out here!”
Katsuki prepares for the worst, taking a step back. A pink head peeks out of the cave, squinting at the light. Mina’s dark eyes widen when she sees you, “Y/n!”
“Mina!”
She runs out to hug you, nearly knocking you over, surprising Katsuki considering they're roughly the same size. “Hiiii!”
“Hey! How are you?”
You headbutt Mina inn greeting and wince as your head hits one of her sun-colored horns.
“Daga!” Blaze squeals, wanting to see Mina.
“Blaze!” Mina grins, taking him when you unwrap the cloth. “You’re so big now! Last I saw you, you were a little hatchling.”
“Mimi! Buv Mimi!”
“I love you too,” she coos.
Katsuki clears his throat and you pat his head. “Mina, this is one of my dad's guests. Katsuki Bakugou, prince of Yuuei.”
“Nice to meet you!” Mina smiles at him. “What happened to your eye?”
“He tried to fight me.”
You both laugh at his expense, annoying him.
Katsuki looks her up and down, seeing the fur dress cinched at the waist by a rope.“I thought you said we were meeting a dragon?”
“Yeah, Mina’s a dragon shifter, obviously. Mina, if you don't mind.”
Mina looks away from Blaze and hands him to you as she steps away.
A large flash of pink light flashes in front of the three as smoke covers your vision. Blaze squeals eagerly, squirming in your hold.
A loud roar cuts through the smoke as Blaze and Katsuki look up in astonishment while you playfully roll your eyes.
“D-D…” Katsuki stammers as Blaze squeals eagerly.
“Daga!!!” he screams, reaching for Mina and smiling when she lowers her head to lick his cheek and nuzzle him.
Katsuki steps back again to take in her massive form. “This is insane! You’re huge!”
Mina huffs smoke at him.
“Don't be so hard on him. He's never seen a dragon before. Apparently there aren't any where he's from.”
Mina trills quietly and there’s another flash and she’s back to her human-like form. “Well then, he should have more manners.”
“Well, go on,” you hum, softly nudging him forward.
“What?” Katsuki asks, confused.
“Apologise to her.”
“For?”
“Being rude, obviously. Go on.”
“No.”
“Well I was going to give you a gift from my hoard but you're being kind of a dick so…” Mina trails off.
“Fine, I'm sorry,” he grumbles.
“That’s better. Apology accepted.”
You pet his hair again like a puppy. Katsuki doesn’t want to admit how much he likes it.
Mina takes him inside the cave where piles of gold, jewels and fine clothes are sitting. “I’m not picky, if it’s shiny I like it.”
Katsuki sets his greedy little eyes on a gold goblet with rubies around the rim and stem. “That one,” he grins.
Mina picks it up. “This old thing? Here, I’ve been meaning to get rid of it.” She tosses it at him. Katsuki’s surprised by the weight but that means it’s solid gold. Nice.
Blaze waddles inside the cave with you behind him. He stands at Katsuki’s feet and holds his cloak for support.
“Bago!” Blaze giggles up at him. “Up!”
“What did you just call me?” Katsuki asks, looking at the bubbly baby.
“He gave you a nickname. He likes you,” you smile.
“Bago! Bago up!”
“Alright, you little brat,” Katsuki chuckles, picking up the baby and placing him on his shoulders. “Is that better?”
Blaze squeals and gleefully pulls Katsuki’s hair.
“Ow! Why is he so strong?!”
“Runs in the family. Eijirou punched me in the nose when we were half his age.”
“Damn, what did you do?”
“I got too close to him apparently. This is why our siblings have individual cribs. Kicked him in the ribs though as payback,” you snicker as Blaze pats Katsuki’s head before cooing in the direction of Mina’s hoard.
“Peby…” he babbles.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got something special for you.” Mina smiles and picks up a large sack full of gold items and a small silver rattle with a bird charm.
You take the sack, checking the weight. “Nice.”
Katsuki watches the exchange. “Why do you need all this gold?”
“It’s her living fee. Dad charges her to stay here and protect us. The rattle’s just a gift for your little navigator.”
Blaze gasps excitedly when he gets the rattle and shakes it violently to hear the tinkling.
“Oh. Is it a lot?” Katsuki asks.
“Not really. I get to do what I want, see my best friend and protect those I care about, Seems like a good life for me,” Mina shrugs before turning her head as a horn bellows in the distance. “Looks like you’ve gotta head back.”
“Dangit. I’ll see you next week.”
“Okay, bye bestie,” Mina smiles, giving you a hug and a headbutt goodbye.
Waving to Mina, Blaze whines softly. “Mimi go bye?”
“Yes, but I promise we’ll see her again soon. Besides, you had fun with me and Bago, right?” you grin, slightly teasing Katsuki with the use of his new nickname.
“Bago buh!” Blaze pulls his hair again.
“Yes he is.”
“Ah bah bah!” Blaze continues the whole way back.

When you get home, the rest of your family is waiting in the throne room. You stand next to Eijirou and Izuku, handing the sack to your brother. “What’s going on?”
“Dad has an announcement apparently.”
Katsuki hands you Blaze and goes off to talk to his parents.
“I hope it’s nothing serious,” you mumble.
Ira, Ember and Hestia make their appearance, smiles on their faces.
Ira claps. “Settle down everyone. I have excellent news!”
Hestia rubs her stomach. “We’re expecting.”
All of you cheer, rushing to crowd and hug her.
“Congrats Ma!” Eijirou smiles, kissing her cheek.
“I’m happy for you!” You grin, hugging her.
“Alright, alright,” Ember chuckles, “Don’t smother her. Congratulations, love.” She smiles, hugging her wife.
“I hope it’s another boy,” Hagan says eagerly.
“Nuh uh!” Tanwen counters.
“A girl!” Stella pouts.
“Boy!” Haco and Egan shout.
“God, do they rest?” Mitsuki mutters but she’s happy for Hestia.
Ira hugs his two wives in his big arms. “We have to celebrate! Bring the festival to the castle grounds for some fun!”
“Partyyyy!” You and the older boys holler.
Blaze looks up at you confused. “Bisa? Wa go?”
“Mommy’s gonna have another baby and we’re having a party.”
“Pa-Ty!” He squeals, familiar with the word.
“Yup. Party, party—” you chant, and the older kids join you.
