! spoiler for season 4 episode 1 !

Okay gays, I think I cracked ShadowPeach. I tackled it kinda in my other theory but it doesn’t really hold up so I’ll repeat it here.

Wukong did not kill Macaque.

When the Memory Scroll opens and reveals those inky monsters, one of them turns into Macaque and says ,,You abandoned me,, as a mean to torment Wukong, which implies that the worst thing he has ever done to Mac is abandoning him.

In an interview with a former showrunner (Villads Spangsberg), when asked about their relationship, he responded ,,The most logical conclusion one can draw is that their conflict was built entirely on misunderstandings from both sides,,

David Breen, a co-producer, when asked whether Wukong killed Mac, responded with ,,That’s what Macaque thinks,,

Add the fact that Wukong seems completely unfazed by the fact that he killed a person and it becomes pretty apparent that Wukong did in fact not kill Mac. I am not sure who did it, it’s still a mystery, I suppose that we’ll need to wait until another seasons.

You want to know a not so funny thing tho?

From Monkey King’s prespective he got imprisoned against his will with a torture device (circlet) for god knows how many years, and Macaque just shows up acting like a little bitch and causing trouble for no apparent reason

From Macaque’s perspective he got betrayed, blinded and then murdered by one person he loved most, and after his resurrection Wukong acts like nothing ever happened

That’s why they hate each other - they both have been trough hell but don’t realize the other one has been trough it too

Wukong and Macaque With an S/O Who Has Abandonment Issues

Wukong:

Oh Gods, he would be there for and with you one hundred percent.

Wukong has done a lot of things in his life that he regrets (much as he brags he hasn’t) but abandoning his friends was the one that makes him cringe the most.

As soon as he realizes or you straight up tell him about your abandonment issues, he makes it his life duty to be there for you no matter what which he was already doing.

He hates being patient, he loves doing things straight away and dives in head first.

But when it comes to you and your relationship, he tries his very best to take it at the pace you feel comfortable with.

If you need extra love because you feel like shit and are clingy that day, awesome!

You can lay in his arms the rest of the day if you want, the more time the merrier!

He would whisper sweet nothings into your ear to comfort you,

“I love having you in my arms, ya know that?”

“Gods I could look at your face all day, you’re the sunshine to my day.”

“I probably sound really corny right now but i really do mean it peaches, I adore you.”

Will hold you close to him as he slowly rubs your back in comfort, pressing kisses all along your face.

If you ever feel anxious that he is going to leave you, he will make sure you know he won’t.

Will immediately take you in his arms while cupping your face, his eyes taking in all your gorgeous features as he smiles comfortingly at you.

“Oh peaches come here, I would never ever leave you. You make my immortal days so much better, better than they ever have been. I long to see your face after a day of training with the kid. I love you so much, never forget that.”

Macaque:

Abandonment issues partners, yay!

But seriously he understands, maybe a little too much.

After the whole “incident” with Wukong, he has abandonment issues of his own but you already knew that!

Your trust in each other is built gradually when you were friends, the moment he realizes he can completely trust you he asks you to be his partner.

Understands if you need more time to trust him, however, if you say yes he is happier than he has ever been.

Although he does not really show it, trust me, he is over the moon!

“You really want to try this out? Alright then hon, let’s do it.”

He is always willing to listen if you just need someone to vent to, will let you lay your head in his lap as he plays with your hair.

His fingers tangled through your locks as he just lends an ear to your feelings, he can't help but get lost in the sound of your voice.

He’s hesitant but if you want to seek professional help with him to help with your issues, he’s willing to do it just for you.

“...Hey, about that therapy thing? If you really want me to, I’ll go.”

Will actually use the sessions to help him with his own issues, he will open up to you more and will be secretly thrilled if you do the same with him.

"Hey, you're using the advice they gave us. Glad to see you are too."

If you ever have one of your days when you are anxious he is going to leave you, will be with you every step of the way to help you realize he would never.

You mean so much to him, more than you could ever realize and he wants to make sure you know that.

“Hey sugarplum, it’s ok. I’m here, and trust me. I am not going anywhere. By your side is where I always want to be and I will make sure you are always safe and loved. You are my everything”

Save this drama for later people, this is the more we gonna get of those two till the end of the freenoodles arc /j

Jokes aside, Is time to talk about a Hc that i have for Wukong, about why he was so angry at the presence of Mac in his first encounter:

Wukong was affected by LBD even before she was let free.

If i remember correctly, MK hear LBD's voice in the first episode, and he didn't even interact with that fricking thing underground! So who would say that the people that emprisionment her wasn't affect it from her?

LBD couldn't do a lot with so little magic she has inside Wukong during all this time, but at least she was able to see his memories, she could see his plan with MK, so she prepare a plan in base of that. That could explain why she was so far ahead of him in a lot of thing.

And so that why she choose Mac as his soldier over a lot of other demons. 'Cause he know Mac was a sore point for him.

So she play with his memories, even before she was set free she try to altern the image that Wukong has of Mac, and since Wukong isn't the kind of people that like to see at the past, it was easy for her to change those memories with time. And by the time Mac was in front of him, Both the story she make in the head of those monkeys come side by side, they hate each others! That how thinks are, right?

Of course, she change a lot of other things too, like the level of fuck out that was put DBK under a mountain, Wukong was relaxed the first time he see BDK 'cause he actually didn't remember why he put his former brother in arms in that punishment, but he believe it has to be something big, so he didn't feel bad about it... Till LBD powers fade away from his mind and make him remember the actual situation, making the King feel ashamed enough to being unable to see any member of the bull demon family at the face.

Something like this is happening now with Mac, the original memories of Wukong about him come with a lot of regrets, and the hate and uncomfortable feeling that he have at the start are slowing becoming the original friendly and soft attitude that young Shí Hóu has with Mac.

Yeah, this is making a mess with Wukong's head, specially 'cause he can't excuse it with words, fuck his communication issues...

Ah yeah, the comic /j

Some of the biggest regrets Wukong has with Mac was that things could have been different if he would has stop a little and thinks thing right. For some reason Mac was trying to make Wukong kill him, and the King fall for it completly, just seeing what he actually do after see the fur of his former friend go back to the white that he has when little, that white that Wukong remember has something pure, something kind...

Something that he stain with blood.

The first thing in his mind with that memory is the idea that he could had save him, he could had make thing different, but he can't, 'cause Mac is death, he would never come back...

But he's now here, so he actually has a change to make thing different, to make things right.

If just his ways were less... problematic.

I just so happen to come across your "x readers" and I wanted to ask if you do Character x Character.

Because if you do may I request a BigBrother!Wukong x LittleBrother!Macaque??(Platonic obviously) could be a hurt/comfort with Macaque being injured or something.

Because as someone who Headcanons them as brothers, I've been starved for content! there is very little content about it, and I can't really seem to find any good platonic fanart/fanfics of them since everything is intended to be shadowpeach (no hate to the ship though! I'm aware that both the ship and the siblings thing is a headcanon)

"Where'd All the Time Go?" (470 w.c) (PLATONIC SHADOWPEACH ONESHOT)

The Mountain of Flowers and Fruits was a beautiful place that was home to many different creatures. With its many varieties of flora and fauna, anyone was happy to live there. Two of the most notable residents were of course the Handsome Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque. The two had been good friends since the moment they met, and were close enough that they even called each other brothers. Some described them like the sun and the moon; they were so starkly different, and yet they worked so well together.

Of course, they had their differences. For instance, Wukong loved warm weather. A cloudless sky over grassy hills to play on. As much as Macaque liked playing too, he preferred to do so in the rain. Cooler temperatures with lots of puddles and frankly, mud to slide on.

This was one of those days. The morning had been gloomy, and it wasn’t until the early afternoon that the clouds decided to unleash the rain they’d been threatening. Wukong now sat idly in the opening of one of the caves as he watched Macaque hold his tongue out to catch droplets, before laughing and jumping around. A small smile crept onto his face. He hated getting wet; he’d had quite enough water when he jumped through a raging waterfall to get his title and he was most definitely not a good swimmer. But he wanted to spend time with his brother, and what better time than the present?

“Mac! Wait for me!” Wukong called, and stood up from his spot on the ground. The hard part would be stepping out of the cave. Closing his eyes, he braced himself for that icky feeling of being soaked, but it didn’t come. Wukong opened his eyes again and came face to face with Macaque, who had found a very large leaf and was holding it over the ginger monkey.

“C’mon, we can just walk in the woods.” Macaque smiled, his ears twitching. Wukong took hold of the leaf as well and they began to stroll, stopping every once in a while to look at a newt or salamander that was along the path. Then they would laugh as it scurried away from them.

….

“Monkey King? Why don’t you have an umbrella? You’re gonna get a cold!” MK looked over at his mentor, who was in his human disguise as they were out running some errand or another. MK had a full raincoat, boots, and an umbrella, since he refused to get his clothes wet. Wukong chuckled.

“I can’t believe I have to keep reminding you that I’m immortal, bud. I don’t get sick!” He refrained from ruffling the boy’s hair, simply because it would be inconvenient whilst holding onto a bag of food.

“And besides…I happen to like the rain.”

Ok, so, just watched the season 4 specials, and wow that is a ride.

I'm not going to spoil what happened, but I want to talk about something at the end that i believe links into who the next "big bad guy"(s) is/are.

So, potential spoiler warning, go watch the specials and come back here once your done!

What I am referring to specifically is this image and something Wukong said.

Now, lets get down to business.

During the final confrentation Wukong said something to Azure that could only mean one thing to me. He basically implied he killed Azure back in the past.

But, if that was the case, there is no way Azure should be top side. And unlike my belief that Wukong didn't kill Mac, in this case, I have to believe Wukong killed Azure. Wukong's confusion and questions along with Azure's own recognition that something is wrong and that he was used can only point to the lion's death.

But if that is the case, how was he top side? How did he escape the Diyu?

This will not surprise anyone who has read the journey to the west, the source material for a lot of the Lego Monke Kid past and characters, but, only one person ever went into the Diern and escaped back to the mortal coils. And that was the Monkey King, as shown in Mac's explanation of Wukong's past.

And this vissage looks strikingly familiar to the temple we see at the end, to the point it has to be the same place. Plus some of the individuals who were in the scene were interacting with more pieces of the scroll that was used, specifically referring to it as the "scroll of memories".

The backstory imagery, Wukongs statement of Azure being dead, as well as this scene linking the scroll back to this place can only point to one thing for me.

The Diyu's 10 kings are the next bad guy.

That place can only be the Diyu, the image is shown when Mac is referring to Wukong's travels into the realm of the dead and removing his name from the leger. And with Azure being dead and the scroll seemingly being the property of the Diyu, and the Diyu being damb spiteful about keeping it's souls in the land of the dead unless they reincarnate there is no way of any of this happening unless the 10 kings set this up. They let Azure out of the Diyu with the scroll in hopes of achieving something.

And based on Azure's almost continuous hate and desire to kill Wukong till Wukong pointed out the problem the only reason I can think they would do it is exactly that they wanted Azure to kill Wukong.

It makes sense after all, the 10 kings were humiliated by Wukong in the original story and they likely would have wanted to get back at Wukong. But why now? Why over likely 1000 years later? Well, part of it likely relates to Wukong trashing the place and it taking them time to get the place back in order. The other reason, I think, relates to them thinking Wukong would be weak enough for Azure to take him down. We all remember how beat up and drained Wukong was for all of season 3, and while time had likely passed between seasons 3 and 4 it probably wasn't a lot of time. So, maybe once the 10 kings got word of what happened they searched for a soul to use to achieve their goal, kill Sun Wukong.

I don't think they expected their plan to go so far off the rails and almost destroy the universe, but I am positive they wanted Wukong dead.

So, I expect season 5 will either be the group having to protect Wukong from even more of his old enemies trying to kill/kidnap him, or having to rescue Wukong again, this time from the Diyu.

I can't be sure though, and if this all is the case that they were trying to kill Wukong, it is entirely possible my believe Wukong didn't kill Mac is wrong and the Diyu was trying to use LBD to get rid of Wukong, potentially multiple times and tried to use Mac as a tool to make it happen!

Also, Mac being so tight liped about what happened to fully push apart Mac and Wukong even now, makes me hope we will see it if/when Wukong and Mac finally fully apologise to each other and start rebuilding their relationship. What wukong did with Mac in the ending scene makes me think Wukong wants to try the two's friendship again, but I can't be sure.

However, I need to ask, what do you all think?

Oh dear god anon that's so many to rank and they also rapidly slide up and down the scale depending on the timeline (most of them end up besties cuz hawk and I love that sweet sweet reconciliation) but here we go. Higher on the list means they'll kill each other for a corn chip, lower means they'd die for the other at the drop of a hat.

Not gonna do them ALL because that's a WILD amount of them but here's the major ones.

Seconds away from killing each other

Early Hunter - hands down no question they're BRUTAL like second place is MILES behind them it's terrifying

Early/Mid Sanctuary - They hate each other. Macaque very much so, Wukong is just...kinda tired.

Early Daydreams - One-sided, Macaque would murder Wukong but it's not returned.

Early Wasteland - They’re not actively fighting physically but...the verbal abuse....is...is rough.

Early Core - tbh hardly counts because we don't spend much time with it. Basically canon hostility levels but it doesn't last long after the AU diverges, they reconcile pretty early.

Snapped - Kinda neither? Wukong doesn't know Mac exists and Mac avoids Wukong? Idk it's some secret third thing that doesn't really fit on this scale but it's here anyways.

Late Sanctuary - some things are....sorta settled? They're not at each other's throats but it's still a lil strained.

Late Wasteland - It's...something. They're never at each other's throats but it's tense for the most part. Not about to break out into a fight but it's more just...they don't AVOID each other but circumstances make things hard.

Ghost - I wouldn't use the word besties but they're close. It's more protective than friends?

Late Hunter - They're the friends that curse and swear and yell insults at each other constantly but like in a /fond kind of way you know the ones

Late Daydreams - also super close, but I wouldn't call them ride or die. TBH once you're down here on the list they're all super close and the rankings get less and less meaningful cuz Hawk and I just love them being close ahjgfbgf.

Tiny Man - Similar to ghost but a little bit more because both parties are like Fully There. More protective and a little bit parent-child and it's a lot of things but yeah they're close.

Godslayer - Not besties but a little more parent/child but also not. Red would do anything to keep MK safe because he won't let himself fail again.

Long Shadows (Lotus's, less shared) - Almost on a core level of codependence, they never had a huge fallout so they've had a long time to be close.

Late Core - literally cannot be any closer, they would literally do anything before they'd lose the other. And I mean literally as in the dictionary definition.

i think one of the funniest things about Shadowpeaches, before they make up after the whole murder thing

is that they absolutely know everything about each other

MK mentions Macaque ordered a noodle dish with specific extra toppings to Wukong (because MK sorta wants them to be friends again because their bickering is annoying, and also now that he knows Macaque is good so buddha help him macaque is gonna get befriended)

and Wukong, without thinking for a single second, just fucking knows Macaque had a bad day. That what he ordered was for comfort. And he absolutely hates that he knows because it means that even after all these centuries he’s retained so many memories of Macaque, his likes and dislikes, things to make him happy and what might’ve made his day bad. And those memories are there despite Wukong probably wanting to forget them and actively trying to

Likewise, Macaque can tell what Wukong’s feeling by how he stands, walks or talks. The tones of his voice, how sharp his movements are or how playful the tone of his voice is. Like he does a little spying and sees MK and Wukong sparring, and Macaque can just see the absolute pride in Wukong’s eyes as the kid lands punches, he sees Wukong get more and more into the fight as his movements becomes faster and more playful. And that probably hurts Macaque more than annoys him because it reminds him of when it was him and Wukong sparring, and the same thing would happen.

Astronomical Shifts AU - AS AU

Scarlet - Otherwise known as Red Panda Queen. (If you’ve been around since my beginning, you know her, and you have permission to skip this part)

Legend has it, that centuries ago, a war was struck out between the two mystic races, Panda, and red panda, due to the Panda Queen accidentally dropping a racial slur at a meeting. Sadly, The red panda and its race were lost to time…Or so we thought.

Scarlet is the last surviving red panda, blessed by Guanyin with immortality and luck so that she may survive since the panda race wiped itself out hundreds of years after the panda queen lost her immortality.

Scarlet’s abilities: Nine tails - intimidation tactic, representative of the eight red panda generals and their queen. Super speedy - on all fours Pink spirit fire Shadow clones - red pandas, can fluctuate in size Special bamboo staff - bestowed upon her from the spirits of the panda army.

Nezha - I don't know you but you tried to slice the train I was on in half once so we’re not on good terms.

Ming Yue - Scarlet’s first protector. I didn’t actually make Ming, but my friend did, so here’s a little summary…I guess. Ming was already drawn to Scarlet’s fairy stone at birth due to her being chosen as protector. But being a snow leopard, it was pretty hard to even get to the fairy stone. But Ming…Well, she didn’t have the most responsible mother. So, she easily snuck away and climbed up the northern bamboo mountain to guard the fairy stone before it hatched. Once it did, Ming knew exactly what to do, thanks to guidance from the goddess Guanyin.

Ming’s abilities: Night/green vision - Got from training MK Golden claws - A silent blessing from Wukong An oddly good climber - Pretty sure snow leopards climb trees… Good jumper Tail whip (From what I’ve seen,) Blue/green spirit fire.

Ming’s relationships:

Redson - Knows from the samadhi fire incidents

Tang - Aquainted

Pigsy - Aquainted

Lan Se Huoyan - Knows the legand

Hónghuo - Knows the legend.

Lan Se Huoyan Legend has it, that the blue fire goddess and the red fire goddess met in the first wildfire. While Honghuo had a bit of an awakening, Lan se instantly knew something clicked with Honghuo. Over the next thousand years, Lan se and Honghuo followed each other everywhere, though Lan se was less active, it appeared to motivate Honghuo to burn brighter. Their relationship was allowed by the jade emperor due to how they motivated each other, but not without a few… outliers. Due to positive votes on the council, the first lesbian celestial relationship was allowed between the two A couple of hundred years later, they had their first child, Samadhi Xing, otherwise known as “Total peace star”. But sadly, one of the outliers from their wedding witnessed the child and cursed Honghuo to forever roam the mortal realm as an undying wildfire. Due to this, Lan se renamed her child to just “Xing” to protect her mind from the curse that was her mother.

Lan se’s ablities Fire control Blessing - Giving others fire Blue vision - Similar to gold vision, but blue, and can only see through illusion.

Honghuo Im not copy pasting the legand, but basically she turned into the samadhi fire. She’s basically half braindead too, so she cant really speak or have relationships anymore. Abilities: Being the samadhi fire.

@ninjasmudge I have a feeling that Bone king Hates Getting called "Monkey king" or "Sun Wukong" and Since he's literally a walking abomination mixed with two Powerful Immortals.
