One thing that really rots my brain is the idea of the guild during the og baby fairytail members time and the domesticity of it. Cause like no way was gramps letting a bunch of super powered ( and incredibly destructive) 7-14year olds out of his sight.

Just imagine:

Little Natsu and emo teen Laxus having breakfast while very quietly whispering about their respective hoards collections of cat theme things ( I KNOW LAXUS IS A SECRET CAT LOVER I JUST KNOW IT)

Tiny Gray having an emo phase. Mira (a punk 14 year old) helping him out (after teasing him of course). The two spending many hours and lots of jewel to find and look through dozens of fashion magazines. Eventually falling asleep sprawled on the floor in a nest of semi-laminated paper.

Tween Lissana and levy giggling over the kissy scenes in books and Erza overhearing them. Spitting out her cake into Laxus’s face which makes them burst out into full on cackling.

Little Cana teaching natsu to make card pyramids for 3 hours and when he finally gets it, Elfman knocks it over. Every one thinks Natsu is going to punch someone, but he doesn’t, instead he starts full on bawling. Nobody knows what to do. Little Natsu cannot be comforted. Levy shuts him up by shoving candy into his mouth while cana really quickly rebuilds the pyramid.

Erza and Mira having a dance off on some of the tables ( mira breaks 3 of them in half with her stomping, Erza somehow stabs one). This is how everyone finds out to never take either of them to parties cause they dance like the deaf baby of giraffes and a buffalo.

Gray and climbing a tree to the very top and forgetting that he doesn’t know how to get down? He stays there till the next morning and seethes for the next week cause LISSANA had to carry him down.

Natsu following Gray around like a lost puppy his first week cause “he’s friend sized” and what else was he supposed to do? He knows nothing! Dudes not even from this time period. At least if he follows loud stripper he knows he wont get run over by a car. Gray not noticing or caring that he is being followed cause little guy has his own problems to deal with and “as long as he doesn’t take my food or breath on me.”

Cana having a plague doctor mask that elfman bought for her 13th birthday. She wears it to scare the shit out of everyone at the sleepovers.

Weekly “sleepovers” in the guildhall because it’s easier to do gramps weekly count of them when they are all lined up in their my little pony sleeping bags (yes this includes laxus and mira)

When Romeo is born they have a guild wide contest on whose name he says first (the answer is his own cause the little dude is a true fairytail wizard)

Levy managing to give everyone a heart attack after casually admitting that she hasn’t slept or ate anything but crackers and coffee cause she was trying to teach herself the equivalent of ancient greek.

Laxus and gray not knowing how to hold a baby (romeo)

Natsu “teething” on Erza. Everyone stares in shock cause there’s just Erza sitting there stone faced in full armor while Natsu chops down on her arm like he has rabies. ( he still bites her even when they’re older if he’s really stressed)

Everyone having a default crush on laxus or Mira

The guild kids try to make homemade shaved ice with grays ice and end up covering the entire town with really weird ice sculptures

Mira scaring the shit out of kids with her demon souls during Halloween

Someone stealing Mira or Natsu’s food and ending up with a burn on their tounge followed by natsu trying to “kiss it better”

Levy dozing off on the rafters and falling down onto poor elfman

Spin the bottle but instead of kissing you fight (grays idea)

Laxus has a spray bottle filled with water mixed with really bad smelling cologne that he uses to spray people when they’re bad, like cats.

No one in the guild knew how to swim until they turned 16 Lissana still can’t swim.

Its really really common to see elfman or gray duck-taped to the wall (its levy who does it)

Dont fall asleep around teen Mira she will draw titties on your face. (Where do you think natsu got it from?)

They all took a living 101 class when lissana was 13. It failed miserably. Laxus ended up being the grandfather to 6 rats and 3 hamsters

Laxus takes Lissana and Elfman out for brunch once a month because it pisses mira off to no end.

Levy, Lissana, and Laxus accidentally forming an L name club and plan their “meetings” within earshot of Mira and Erza to make them jealous.

“We should get cookies!”-levy

“And ice cream!”- lissana

“(Super smug face) im craving strawberry cake.”-laxus

*sounds of Erza bursting into flames of jealousy*

More of the strauss siblings😘 it's really fun drawing them, but idk if I did justice with elfman 😅. Also, don't mind the sudden change in style, alright? This is from an old sketch after all. Also, Gajeel's hair is rather difficult to keep in a consistent style imo.

Characters who went to Tenrou in the original timeline, but in this AU they are getting old because I say so

I always thought that Wendy was 12 years old until the one-year time jump after the dissolution of Fairy Tail, and then she was 13 years old... No, she was 12 years old after the one-year time jump. Girl never grew up.

Before = 15 // After = 22

Total age headcanon, but I like the idea of Lily being an older brother to Happy and Charles. Why 15 years old? He's old, but not that old.

And also, Exceed could have a different age to humans, like 30 years in Exceed age is just 15 years in normal age (another headcanon)

Before = 17 // After = 24

Siblings doomed by the narrative. Poor Mirajane and Elfman, they only had Lissana for a few weeks, and then it was their turn to disappear for 7 years, these siblings can have a break.

You guys the translations did make me feel better

It said the women you love take over your lives. Gray got Juvia because he's in love with her and he knows it. He openly admits it and he knows in his heart that she's the only one. Natsu got every girl he loves. As sisters and friends and he doesn't know it yet but one that he loves more than the rest. He doesn't realize that he's in love with Lucy and that's why everyone else came along.

Every girl said something to Natsu. Erza said let's take a bath like we used to, he loves her like an older sister. Wendy said you're like my big brother, he loves her like his little sister. Lissana said when i was little i wanted to be your bride, he loves her like a childhood friend. Idk why mira was there 🙄 but defo sister. And what did Lucy say? Here you can touch me all you want Natsu. I think that's not sister or old friend love. It's real romantic love and Natsu just doesn't know it yet.

I still hate it. But, it's helped. Okay everybody this what Mashima does we should just get used to it. In the end Natsu will always be the dumb main character. It's just the type of anime it is. With ecchi and fan service. And that's why so many people hate it.

But we don't. We've all come to love Fairy Tail for all the best things about it. But i think most importantly we've come to love it for all it can be. And i hope that we can all continue to do so until the end. Sorry for this long post. Love you guys so much everyone have a nice day 💕💕

Awwwww thank you guys!! I’m like super behind on... everything. Everything fandom or writing wise i am. Not doing.

But!!! I will force myself to do the things I love! Like talking about deaf!Natsu au.

First of all: Levy

idk if I’ve stated this somewhere yet or not, but Levy is a Shi’a Muslim and a trans woman. I think I’ve said the second part before but?? Its been so goddamn long lmaooo

She doesn’t drink, smoke, and observes the dietary restrictions in Islam, but dresses more secular

She does have an entire drawer dedicated to scarfs with pretty colours or patterns

She wears a hijab mainly only during holidays/mosque

Observes prayer five times a day

She goes to a queer friendly mosque that her mother found for her on campus, and Jet and Droy are youth group leaders there, as the university city/campus is in the middle of a large suburb, fondly called Magnolia bcus of the flowers that come up in the spring

Levy is studying for a double master in linguistics and ancient languages, with a side focus on cultural anthropology

Everyone is v concerned about how she has time to breathe, never mind actually hang out with them or have a life

Gajeel is straight up in awe of her

he kinda loves her already

especially how short she is and how easy she is to piss off via commenting about how short she is

She praises Allah at. Everything. It’s only a little in hyperbole too, but she was raised in a family that was v secure in their faith and involved in their community

Her father died when she was young, but her mother remarried when she was about 7 to a trans woman, which is how Levy realized she wasn’t alone and was in fact a girl

She has been met with nothing but love and support by her community growing up, even if there was some process in some of the members understanding

Anyway

Only good things for my blue haired nerd daughter

Levy loves spice the same way Gray does which is to say: Not

She is however addicted to sugar

You know how people put sugar on like shreddies or plain cereal? Levy does that to fruit loops

Loke and Juvia are the most horrified of the group, but only barely

Natsu and Levy bond over their love of Lucy

Levy has stated that if she weren’t so swamped with studies and already in love with languages, she would be challenging Natsu to a fight for Lucy’s honour.

Natsu’s only have kidding when he says to meet him in the pit

This may have also caused some of the friction between Gajeel and Lucy at first as Lucy was 100% Natsu’s cousin wanted to kill her and she had no idea why

Natsu and Levy also bond about being the darkest in their immediate friendgroup, and share Looks with each other in times of need

Ie the ‘traditional’ Indian restaurant fiasco mentioned before

Levy was the only one fluent in ASL and ISL before meeting Natsu

Loke: Was a pen pal of Lucy’s when she was a child, and convinced her to send an application to Fairy Tail

Laxus already went here but was slightly estranged from Lucy and his entire family during the last years of Lucy’s highschool career

Lucy helped him patch up his relationship to Makarov to the strength that it is now

Loke is non-binary with a preference for they/them pronouns, but some days prefer he/him, other days she/her, but most of the time they/them

They’re dating Aries, but are polya

Aries is a trans woman as well, and the two and Levy have a group chat titled with the blue, pink, and white heart emojies

They just send each other memes or bitch about the cis on really rough days

Loke is actually v private about their home life or their inner thoughts

Lucy and Gray are the only ones they really open up to in the friend group

Loke was Gray’s first non-girl kiss and set him down the long road of ‘oh fuck I’m not straight’

Gray and Loke still hooked up on and off before he got into a relationship with Juvia

Aries and Gray are surprisingly close friends considering the whole Loke thing, and while Loke is happy they are also Concerned about what those two fiends are talking about

They’re talking about ancient art

Not everything's about you Loke damn

They also talk about how cute Loke is after an orgasm but shhh they don’t need to know that

Loke loves that they’re included in both boys nights and girls nights

Lucy snorted milk out her nose when Natsu first told her that, and couldn’t even yell at him for laughing bcus he was rolling on the floor with his eyes closed in hysterics

Cana and Mira have it on video

They sent it to every group chat they were in

Natsu has a slight Indian or Japanese accent depending on which words bcus his main teachers were Igneel or Grandeeny growing up, and their mouth movements is what he learned, including their accents

Mira, Lissana, and Lucy speak French together to talk shit about weird boys in public

Juvia and Levy love dying each others hair different shades of blue or trying out new product

Gajeel and Erza can make anyone piss their pants when they stand next to each other bcus the pure aura of Intimidation can reap your soul

Erza deemed herself the Mom Friend, but everyone knows she’s more like the wine aunt who likes to hunt boar with her bare hands sometimes

She’s an enigma wrapped in a mystery wrapped in ancient Korean armour Erza where did you find that and how did you get in it it’s from the Three Kingdom period ???

Levy, Erza, and Natsu bond over warrior ages in ancient cultures

Lissana is allergic to mint but carries an epi-pen bcus not even God herself can stop Lisanna from getting her hands on mint chocolate chip ice cream

Cana Respects it, Gray is Concerned, and Natsu just gives her a high five as he eats a cheeseburger

During exam weeks group study sessions turn into cuddle piles of despair

Natsu gets tired of reading lips sometimes and will straight up be the first thing he tells his friends when he sees them

Gray, Juvia, Lucy, and Lissana can kind of tell without him having to sign it

Gajeel just texts him mostly despite being exceptionally fluent in ASL and conversational in ISL

Cobra will explicitly speak to him, but knows when to push Natsu and when not to

Mostly

Lucy needs glasses for reading if she's been on the computer/head in a book too long and the first time Natsu saw them was after they started dating and then Lucy wasn’t studying the rest of the night

A few more baby fairytail headcanons because their the found family that haunts me in my dreams🫶🏽 these are a little more natsu and gray centric cause those are my favs

Gray and Natsu did not have a place to live until they were in the guild for like a year . There were too many parentless orphans running around and not enough people to keep track of them, so It was couch surfing hot potato like nobody’s business.

Natsu’s stuff was scattered to the high heavens. You would find his sandals in Laxus’s room, bag in the Strauss Siblings place,any clothes were scattered between Erza, Cana and Levy. Really its a miracle he had clothes at all considering the fact he also refused to wear a shirt his first month( “you don’t needs shirts in the forest snd their itchhhyyy” ) . Gray was a bit better and just had a card board box that he took to people’s house when he decided (without the person’s permission) to crash there for the next week. Ironically,The two would always end up trying to crash with the same person on the same night. Natsu would be climbing into the room through the window right when Gray was breaking in by picking the lock.

Speaking of which, Everyone but erza can pick locks. Lissana is the fastest followed by Cana and then Natsu. Mira just broke the door down.

Whenever they were smaller and Erza went on a job with Levy they had an unspoken understanding to only speak like they were from medieval times. There were alot of questions afterward and more lost in translation.

Little Cana would cut and dye everyone’s hair. She Once dyed natsu’s hair black, mistaking the hair dye as extra shampoo-y shampoo

That was the worst week of Natsu and Grays life. Whenever they were out in public together they got mistaken for brothers.

”WHAT DO YOU MEAN BROTHERS?! HES A BROODING EMO STRIPPER! WE DON’T LOOK ANYTHING CLOSE TO RELATED. ”

*cana and laxus dying of laughter*

*maco and wakaba choking*

“BROTHERS?! BROTHERS?!?? ARE YOU BLIND HIS FACE IS FREAKY! FREAKY ! AND LOOKS COMPLETELY STUPID, HOW COULD YOU THINK THAT ME AND THAT THING SHARED ANYTHING?!?!”

natsu and gray couldn’t look at each other that entire week.

EmoTeen!Gray discovered the girls taste in books after being locked in the library closet during “book club”

Natsu knows exactly what Erza and Levy read. super hearing y’know? He wont admit to it but he knows not to be in the guild whenever those high pitched giggle start.

Laxus gets severely motion sick. He used to deal with it by using those stupid looking motion sickness glasses every time he got on a train. Now he just sells his soul to the devil (mira) for a bottle of magic elixir ( straight vodka) that lets him pass tf out.

Erza lost an Erza look alike contest once

Mira lost a Mira look alike contest

Lissana won both of them back to back

Natsu has a collection of hand me downs that he refuses to wear or get rid of. Most of them are Erzas old armors or things gray stripped and forgot about, but he has a little of everyone. His favorite one is Laxus’s old big coat.

Elfman does a little quote of the day thing in the guildhall

Elfman once got all the fairytail kids including s-class Laxus, Erza, and Mira to Jump Guildarts. No one knows the outcome because at some point all the smaller kids got knocked out with only Erza,Mira and Laxus left awake and they wont tell who won.

When they were younger there was a cute skate park the girls would visit often, thats why they can do all the cool skate board tricks.

Levy bought a motorcycle after getting the money from her first “big” job

Natsu once put a tin full of mentos in multiple buckets of coke in the guild hall infirmary

One time gramps was feeling really down and kids did a little play to cheer him up. They did sleeping beauty with Levy as Sleeping Beauty, Cana as the prince, Mira was maleficent, and Laxus as the prince’s horse. Gray, Natsu, and Elfman were obviously the fairies. Erza wasn’t in the guild at the moment much to her dismay. The play genuinely went incredibly well except instead of waking the princess up with a kiss, Cana head butted Levy so hard it caused Levy to pass out.

Little Valentines Day scenario

(No i do not care that its may)

The first year they were all together, Natsu and Gray got in trouble with Erza the day before valentine’s day. Them hearing everyone gush about wanting someone to give them something, decided that the best way to apologize (save themselves) would be to give her a bunch of valentines day candy and presents. They gave them to her at the guild with cute cards and she was so so happy she started to tear up. This marks Erza as the first person among them all to get a Valentine present.

The others were silently seething, which turned into alot of teasing “ Aww looks like Grays got a crushhh,” “ Look at natsu being all gentlemen like , Erza must be a special special girl,” Erza promptly beat them all up for it, and Gray and Natsu were successfully in their mission to save themselves!

They did feel kinda bad afterwards seeing the others look longingly at Erza quite large pile. Natsu sneakily went out and bought some more chocolates to hand cheer everyone up, gray joined in because “No way am I letting flame brain be liked more then me!” They obviously fought, which melted the chocolates. No fear however! Natsu tempered the chocolates to perfection and gray used his magic to make fun molds.

The next day they handed them out and now its a tradition. On Valentine’s day you get candy from the boy of your dreams, the next day Natsu and Gray give you a creepily detailed mini you made out of chocolate.
