I know the anime has it different, he hugged her instead which is still adorable btw, but this..
He straight up kissed her on her forehead, he gave her a.forehead.kiss, I'm not blind I can see that clearly.
And the funny thing is that Juvia is also shocked and finds it weird LOL.

Juvia Headcanons because I love her:
-Juvia is one of the more terrifying members of the guild. Pissing her off is a death sentence.
-She often gets lost in thoughts and runs into people. Which would be fine if her magic didn’t react on instinct and cause her to turn to water to pass through them, leaving them soaking wet.
-Juvia could easily get S-Class if she wanted. But she refuses to use her full power on her friends.
-She has a really hard time understanding social cues due to being alone most of her life. Gajeel has gotten into the habit of telling her if the tone changes and stuff so she doesn’t feel lost. Eventually the rest of the guild picks up on it too and help her out.
-Much to everyone’s surprise, Juvia has no problem calling Gray out when he’s being an idiot.
-Juvia and Evergreen are besties. They love getting together and gossiping
-Speaking of besties, Juvia and Natsu have formed one of the most chaotic duos in the guild. The two of them so much as sitting next to each other sparks fear in their friends. Especially Gray.
-Juvia and Gajeel have matching piercings. Guess where.
-She doesn’t have a team because she tends to hold back with others around.
-Juvia will make you a friendship bracelet and you will wear it. She has so many that her arm is filled to the elbow. She will never take them off.
-her favorite genre of music is metal

remember when gray met juvia and repeatedly asserted that he wouldn't hold back just because she was a woman? that was so funny because why would he even say that, let alone more than once? he spent his entire life getting his ass handed to him by girls and women in Fairy Tail. his master was a woman. and he'd figured out Juvia was a member of the Elite Element Four. like her womanhood should've been a non-point...unless he was very, very aware of it from the beginning. he was so obviously, definitely trying to un-distract himself and psych himself up on that one.
