Dio x shy male reader afraid to ask to sit in Dios lap?
Sit - DIO
notes - okay funny story. I've been reading Interview with the Vampire and DIO is literally just Lestat. They are my two gay vampire icons, so thank you for this request anon!! It's a super mini fic, but know that this made me smile and giggle because my blonde vampires are my everything. Also, I didn't specify gender, so you can read it however! word count - 211
Tumblr media
"What is it?" You heard DIO's deep voice say from the other side of the room. "I can tell you want to ask me something."
You stiffened, blushing. "It's nothing." you said quietly.
DIO just laughed at you, his deep chuckle echoing in the small room. "Just tell me, I won't bite."
You knew that wasn't true. If anything, that's the first thing he would do.
"Really, DIO, it's nothing."
You looked into the darkness and saw his pale figure sit up on his bed, his long finger signaling for you to come closer.
Like your legs had a mind of their own, you started walking towards him until you got to the edge of the bed where he sat. He grabbed your chin and brought your face down to his level, smiling at you.
"Tell me." he said.
You looked down at his lap and blushed. God, it sounded stupid, you didn't even want to think about asking.
"y/n-" he started.
"Can I sit in your lap?" The words flew out of you, sounding even more stupid then you thought.
DIO laughed for a long while, but quickly stopped, grabbed your wrist, and pulled you down on his lap.
"You never have to ask." he cooed, kissing your ear.

Would you ever write more about trans!Armand and his three boyfs having fun? 🥺 Yes I might be a bit hinting on something but... you know... you write it so well... 🥺
I would! I just don't know when, things shift around on my fic writing to-do list so much 😭
but I feel bad because I did say I was gonna write it months ago and then I DIDN'T so here's a snippet from what I have languishing in the google gocs that's set in the same AU! mostly armand ruminating on his changing body and the challenges it brings in the bedroom (nsfw) this is supposed to be leading to the gangbang eventually:
He shuts the bedroom door gently and deposits the little white bag on the bed. Armand still hasn't fully settled into the new place – it's home, but it's fragile, tentative – he needs to be careful.
He starts from the bottom up. Stripping socks, pants, underwear. There's always been a peculiar distinction to him between outside clothes and inside clothes. Everything has to change, even the underwear. Next is the sweater, then the undershirt.
Finally comes the binder.
Black and sturdy, it binds all the way down to his belly button, compressing his chest entirely.
He's lucky, he supposes. Armand's chest – like most of him – had always been on the smaller end of the spectrum. Each side is large enough that Lestat's palms can cover them completely and not much more.
Still, he craves the illusion of total flatness that a binder provides, and as much as it's nice to shed it and allow his body to relax fully, it always hits him with an initial sense of loss.
Armand hasn't quite figured out which size and brand works best, and a quality binder is a rather expensive purchase. This one, one of two he has, is a bit too tight and always leaves his chest and sides sore from where it has been pressing down into his tender skin. If anyone else were home, Armand might curl up and ask for a quick massage that would inevitably lead to kissing and fooling around. Later, perhaps.
Besides, it's good that he has the place to himself, a rare moment of privacy that's hard to come by when four men share a one-bedroom apartment.
He rubs at his chest absentmindedly for a moment before turning to the dresser. Slips on a fresh pair of briefs and then wonders why he did it – they're about to come off again in a minute. Skips the neatly folded t-shirts in his drawer in favor of the ratty gray sweatshirt stuffed into Daniel's drawer.
The length hits Armand precisely above his knees, the fabric slipping off to expose his shoulder. He loves wearing their things: Daniel's sweatshirts, Lestat's band tees, Louis's collared shirts – he would wear their pants too if they didn't just fall off him entirely.
Armand never asks, and nobody seems to mind.
There's something extraordinarily soothing about disappearing into his lovers' clothes, the feel of each material holding a different association, drowning in their scents whenever he craves that particular comfort.
Comfort that Armand could use.
He takes a deep breath and drops onto the bed before reaching into the bag, pulling out the boxed set of dilators, holding it at arm's length, turning it over gingerly as if it has already personally offended him.
Better to get this over with.
Made quick work of the packing and did a cursory review of the instructions – nothing that the sweet salesperson hadn't already gone over with him while Armand had stood there, awkwardly shifting his weight from one side to the other, trying his hardest not to blush and failing spectacularly.
Five purple cylinders, each with a different length and girth, starting small and gradually increasing in both measures.
Armand's heartbeat picks up, and his throat feels achingly dry.
It's not arousal; in fact, he's the opposite of turned on right now. His body knows this is going to be uncomfortable to start with, at best. Interesting how drastically his pain threshold drops when it wasn't tied directly to intimacy, to someone he loves inflicting it on him. And not in a bad way, no, it's just that he'd begged for sex before, even when it physically hurt — he'd delighted in the aches and the stings and in attributing each one to a particular lover.
But this? Using these tools regularly on himself in the hope that he could retrain his front hole to regain its elasticity?
It's been a while since anyone had managed to work more than two fingers inside before insisting he was 'too tight, there's no give'; Armand would 'get hurt.'
Simply put, this was a source of intimacy Armand isn't yet willing to concede. He is stubborn, if nothing else. It's not enough to have his hole touched or for Lestat, Louis, or Daniel to rub against him and press their tip to his hole to ensure some cum made it in.

Lestat have you played baldur's gate 3
Lestat here.
Yes, I most certainly have! I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, and it truly does take me back to the days where I'd watch/listen to mortals playing the hit game Dungeons and Dragons!
I really wish to play it again sometime, I do believe that some of you out there would be more than happy to take me under your wing.
Lestat out. xoxo

In the preview scene with Louis & Claudia standing before the incinerator hand in hand, dressed in white, if you pause/slow it down, you can see someone in dark clothes--and maybe a hat--pass between them and the flames. So they're not alone? Who on earth could that be?? I'm really interested to know what your thoughts are, thank you.
Hi! I went and looked and couldn’t really see someone passing between them and the flames, but if you meant the person moving IN the flames 👀 I actually already made a post about that! Someone else posted a behind the scenes shot of Antoinette in a dark suit so I’m hoping it’ll be her. The clip of a woman screaming over that bit could have been added to throw us off, but who knows. I’m hoping it won’t be Lestat because I wanna see them throw him in the swamp, but idk if they’ll do both murder attempts. I really hope they do though.

Hi! In the preview for the next episode I noticed Armand says it was 1556 when he sees Lestat on stage. I thought it was supposed to be in the 1700s. Lestat wasn't even alive in 1556 right?
Hi Anon! I don't think the voice over in that teaser necessarily matches with the scenes we see on screen.
Armand doesn't meet Lestat until after he is turned, which in the show timeline was in 1794. By the looks of it, they'll meet in June of 1795. That's the date on the poster for the show we see Lestat performing in:

*Original pic by Syanidure
I think in that narration, Armand was talking about something else when he mentions 1556. It's most likely something to do with his origin or maybe Marius—although I am 89.7% sure he won't be in this season.
Based on what I've heard from the screeners, the bits about Nicki and Lestat at the Renaud theatre are only a small part of episode 3.

We're also gonna get a glimpse of Armand's backstory before that, which I'm super excited to see, and also a continuation of the Paris storyline with Loumand's courtship and Claudia's induction into the coven. Lots of cool stuff to look forward to this Sunday.

All your anons that think they've ruined Lestat in s1.. :) The fact we've got the romance there at all is a miracle, lol. I haven't felt any when I was rereading it a year ago. Even that longing after they've "killed" him didn't help matters. Louis just straight up hides what they relationship looked like during the New Orleans years. He only talks about what he had with Claudia and opens up about Lestat exclusively when he's the worst. It's dry as a desert. And then he sings heartfelt songs about Armand. The contrast couldn't be more contrasting. Imo, Louis's pov (and that's exactly what we're getting here) suggests that Lestat was an obnoxious nuisance at best and Armand - the great love he had before Claudia's death. If not the first as a vampire. I'm sorry, that's just how iwtv is. And all of it tracks. "The love of my life." etc.
Sam just loves Lestat's fully fledged version that comes later, as we all do. It's no brainer why playing this ugly fraction of him would pain him. But it's not the time yet. Assad had to sit it out for a season. In a way, Sam is doing it for two.
You know, it’s funny, because I watched this video of Assad just earlier, where he talks about what it was like for Armand to finally be himself:
But I think it's not just Sam and Lestat here. I think all the characters in the show are an elevated version of themselves, and they are presented in a certain way right now, for reasons.
But the show is quite obviously building on the later characters already, and I mean, Rolin did spell that out already as well. Lestat in Dubai will be much, much closer to the Prince Lestat arc, just as Louis is not the same as he was in New Orleans. And Armand in Dubai has already loved Daniel, and his past in Paris will show us a very different character there, too.
We have seen facets, so far.
Specific, very deliberate facets. There's always some truth to the tale, but we know, we KNOW that the tale is not the whole truth, has been tinkered with, has been told for a reason, and has been forgotten (in parts at the very least). All that we know already.
And we also know that we will not yet get Lestat's POV, but Armand's!
And I mean... isn't that a cool thing to have as well?! Like, can you imagine, after season 3, when we will likely have all these different views on things, and then... then it will all come together?
I for one am very much looking forward to it all.
The fans who are determined to see Lestat (or Armand, or Louis, or whoever(!)) as one-dimensional whatevers will not enjoy what's to come. Because these characters have sharp edges, and the narrative will cut us all to the core.
Because...
Evil... is a point of view.

Lestat would 100% be the one taking a nap on Armand's ass (the canonically plump ass, feel like we can't stress this enough), because Armand is resting half of his body on Louis with his thigh wrapped around his stomach. It's a visual Lestat can't resist and he's not about to nuzzle Armand from behind like he's thirdwheeling or something please, he's about to make the absolute best of this experience xoxo DA
You're so right, as always. 🖤
He's a prince for heaven's sake! He (literally) gets the best seat in the house, the lap of luxury, etc. It's the perfect place to rest his pretty blond head after a long night of getting his ass handed to him by Marius.
Madame de Pompadour Armand coming through yet again, god bless. 😌

I have been on this tag since day one and the majority of the posts and blogs I've seen adore Louis. Pointing out canonical traits like him actively lying in Canon books and now the show as well is not being hateful or disrespectful. Saying episode 5 and the whole tale infact being revisited is Not fans of lestat being apologists. It is what Anne Rice canonically did with the Vampire Lestat and the books that followed. Louis is loved widely in this tag. Lestat is being hated on as a result of the villainous portrayal in season 1 which again Canonically is a tale (not a true one) being told both in books and in the show. A lot of people however took it too far with the lestat hate and started calling anyone who liked him names and then people starting to fight back and the rest is how we got to here. If there is no understanding to fans of both characters the two most loved characters in the show -who at the end of the series canonically end up together- then what the hell is the point of being in this Fandom in the first place? Please don't take this as a personal attack it wasn't meant as one but as another person's experience and thoughts of the fandom so far.
I’m going to be honest I find this very hard to believe that it was only just about liking Lestat.
I’ve gotten more hate and vitriol from Lestat fans ever since I’ve joined this fandom. I’ve never talked bad about his character and I make it very clear on my blog that I love him and that he’s my favorite character both in the show and in the books. And yet, because I calmly engaged with a popular blog’s theory about episode 5; everyday I wake up to hate in my inbox that I have to delete. Lestat fans have been nothing but disrespectful to me for no reason.
Im a Lestat fan myself and I talk about how much I love him all the time it seems and I haven’t been once called a racist. I’ve had anons accusing me of hating Lestat but never ones accusing me of racism. This is the second time someone has told me that Lestat fans are bullied for liking him when all I’ve seen and experienced thus far is the exact opposite which begs the question: Is it really because you like Lestat or is it something deeper that other people picked up on but not you yourself? 3. How is anyone’s rational response as a human to someone calling them racist for liking Lestat is to deny the systemic oppression of black people? This is the main thing that doesn’t make a lick of sense to me. How did we go from, “Users were attacked for liking Lestat” to “So a bunch of blogs are now starting to agree with and talk about how reverse racism is real.” I’ve gotten attacked for liking characters before and my reaction to that is blocking whoever is causing trouble and ignoring them. I got harassed to hell and back in the Voltron fandom for defending and liking Allura and never at any point was I thinking about how affirmative action is the real systematic evil plaguing society. If this kind of thinking was always in the back of certain people’s head as they were analyzing the show then it’s safe to say that people weren’t mad at them just because they liked Lestat. You can not properly analyze a show where a black man talks about how he was systematically oppressed for being black when you don’t even believe in systemic oppression yourself. How can you sit down and watch this show where Louis is constantly being put down by the white people around him, where he has to pretend to be his husband’s chauffeur, where you see white people burning a black neighborhood, where Louis and Claudia cant even sit next to Lestat and have to sit at the back of the bus and come out of it thinking that reverse racism exists in our society? Louis is the age of a lot of black people’s great grandfather, what he went through was not that long ago and the society he lives is still alive today.
4. What purpose would it serve narratively to have Louis and Claudia lie about episode 5? I’m leaving this question here because the last time I tried to have this discussion it led to anons hounding me.

Could you explain why you are ok with ep 5? I hated seeing, yet again, the battered body of a black character beaten to a pulp by his white partner, especially since such violence never happened between Louis and Lestat in the books. While I know white people can't understand and probably couldn't care less, I'm genuinely curious about your take on this.
Hi Anon!
Okay, first I'm sorry this reply back took the long time it did for me to answer it but, aside from wanting to think on it, RL things got in the way too. And then I also got caught up with some other writing I'm doing. And, as I said, I wanted to think this out before I wrote on it.
Now, first of all, it's actually not true wrt the books that Lestat and Louis never fought before. Someone other than myself has taken screenshots of passages in the book ITWV where such fights have happened. So I do not believe that it was out of character at all for them to have even had a fight in such a way, as such things did happen in the books. (And honestly, I didn't think it was OOC for Lestat at the time it happened before people started posting screenshots of the passages in the book that showed them fighting).
What has upset people is how visceral and beaten Louis looked by the end of that fight. (And no one is wrong for feeling that way if they do/did). It is disturbing to see a black man beaten in such a way by his white partner. And I actually don't think the writers were completely unaware of that imagery when they did this either. Not when you take into account the other pointed underlying racial dynamics the show did and highlighted throughout the season, before and after that episode. (From basically all of EP3, to Claudia mocking Louis telepathically with the "massa" talk in EP6.) So no, I do not think they were at all ignorant of the loaded racial imagery in EP5 after that fight.
And whether some views can forgive Lestat for it will be an individual thing, at the end of it all IMO. Some views may never forgive it, and I think that is completely okay. However, for me - and why I not only wasn't that shocked by the fight itself but feel I understand what is going on with it is - is 1.) as said, they did have knock-down fights in the first book, 2.) knowing Lestat does have that level of violence-ability in him as I noted when the episode first aired and 3.) and this is the main point - that there, strategically, some clear missing context going on here wrt that fight.
Because the entirety of that fight never once was told from Louis' POV. Until that moment when Lestat took Louis out into the courtyard and then up into the air, the actual fight itself was all told from Claudia's POV.
And that was clearly a deliberate choice. Not just to highlight what it must have been like for Claudia to witness this but because there is clearly something about that fight that Louis is holding back about. And no, not because he's lying about the fight having happened at all, and him being beaten in such a way. The fight did happen, and Louis did get beaten in the way we saw at the end. Because, again, what we saw of the actual fight was all from Claudia's POV, and Claudia would have no reason to lie about such a thing in her diary, where the account of the fight was clearly taken from.
No, it's because I strongly feel that something was going on during it that I don't think Louis can - even now - really process. And I have a huge suspicion about what it is.
We're now headed into book spoiler territory and I don't know how much you might want those, so I'm going to stop with that here. All I will say is that the pauses in the fight when we heard Lestat's voice talking are very, very important, particularly when it comes to what he's saying.
Part of this, and that fight, has to do with the very nature of what Lestat and Louis, and Claudia all are as vampires. Again, I'm really trying not to spoil anything here, because I suspect the show might reveal some of this in Season 2, particularly wrt Paris and the Theater Coven.
Though I don't think the majority of it will be talked about until Season 3 when we finally get Lestat's POV. And it might even be something that carries on over into multiple seasons.
I understand the POV of people who will never be okay with the fight and the imagery it left wrt Louis. But I really do feel the writers didn't do it without one, knowing how it would look, and two, that there is a larger, overall, story arc point going on here which ties into the fact that we are not dealing with human beings here.
This isn't a story about vampires seeking redemption or a way back to humanity. With Rice's vampires, the longer they live, the more apart from humanity they become. That is, overall, one of the things the VC explores here. And they are all going to continue to do some really inhuman things, at least during these earlier parts of the story, towards people they love.
Over time, even as many of them, especially Lestat, learn better how to deal with that nature, particularly towards those they care about and love, those inhuman things about their nature will still be there.
So I think also having that view, understanding that about these characters, as well as everything else I talked about, (including something I strongly feel they are setting up as to why Lestat acted the way he did), goes into my few of that fight and why, when it happened, I honestly wasn't either surprised by it and am okay and want to see where they go from here with it. This is just all, personally, where I'm coming from it with it of course.

PLLM Day 1 Roundup
The day is almost over, and I thought I'd address a few things before the next round begins!
1. Most importantly, PLEASE make sure you're not voting just based on who your blorbo is. There are a billion ways we could find out tumblr's favorite character; this poll is trying to find out who the POOREST LITTLE MEOW MEOW is. Keep factors like sliminess, amount of war crimes committed, and piteousness in mind when voting!
2. It's all fun and games lamenting your personal meow meow of choice not being included, but please don't take inclusion or exclusion of any characters seriously. If you want to make your own bracket, go ahead! We could all meet new meow meows :)
3. BE CIVIL. Keep your threats lighthearted ("I'll tie your shoelaces to the train tracks unless you vote for Harrow", etc.) and your anger in check. This is a silly fun poll. Corollary to that, I've already had to post one warning to an anon who came into my inbox. If you think it's funny to clown and be rude in there when we don't know each other, you're getting blocked. This is your heads up.
4. Time for fun stuff :) Below are some stats and highlights I caught when scrolling through your tags. Under a cut to not flood your dash, and please message me if you want yours removed for any reason.
#1 Underdog: Jiang Cheng (The Untamed)
Fiercest Competition: Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad) vs. Harrowhark Nonagesimus (The Locked Tomb)
Closest Match: Jonathan Sims (The Magnus Archives) vs. Catra (She-Ra)
Biggest Sweep: Howl Jenkins (Howl's Moving Castle) vs. Daemon Targaryen (House of the Dragon)
Funniest Comments*: Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars) vs. Lestat de Lioncourt (Interview with the Vampire)

in one word describe the nickistat content in e3
And how do you think Joe is in the role as Nicki..they're whacking my boi left and right on twt and tumblr so I need some assurance that he's good enough
okay i apologize anon i'm kind of hijacking this ask since i got about 10 questions about nicki. i'm not sure i can describe nicki or nickistat at this moment. if i gave my honest opinion it would be quite spoiler-y.
but let me say this: please, please, PLEASE manage your expectations with nicki. i'm seeing people on twitter basically acting like episode 3 is going to be the backdoor pilot to TVL. this is armand's POV about lestat, i cannot stress that enough.
ALSO look at the promo pics we got for the episode. this is still a story about louis. this is still a story about claudia.
