honestly gives no indication that he likes you at all 💀💀 he stares at you pretty intensely at first (to admire your beauty) but quickly catches on that you think its weird..
once you two get closer though, megumi would frequently express his crush through small gestures
he strikes me as a reader so i can see him recommending his favorite books to you or even lending you some of his.
you two exchange books often and he highlights quotes that remind him of you
i can also see book shop hangouts where you two sit and read together in some small bookshop he found in the city.

he's not a huge compliment/affirmation guy but quality time is a big one for him
whether it be on missions, sparring, or out with the rest of the first year's, he enjoys any time he can have with you.

The odd one.
Tav x Everyone
Warnings: depressions ; self harming behaviour ; bad english ; bad written lol ; im not good at writing endings ngl ; self doubts ; thoughts about suicide and even mentions ; descriptions of wounds ; teeny tiny bit of fluff ; drama ; angst ; idk poly relationship?
Note: hello everyone who thinks this is gonna be good lol. Its just a little drabble i really wanted to write but thats like my first fic/drabble ever so please be kind :') still i hope you enjoy that small thingy. Also i used they/them as tavs pronouns and theres no specific description to their look. Also there might be typos etc. English is not my native language!
If someone has to describe tav than they would probably take the word "odd". Odd because they were so clumsy that it was nothing new when they tripped over their own feet or stumble right into a trap, indicators where most started to think that they're absolutely not capable of fighting or at least not being good at it. Most would think that they're just gonna stumble into sword, or spells, and call it a day. But, much to everyones suprises, it wasnt like that. Tav was rather good at slaying things, beheading goblins or punch someone so hard that they're loosing foot - they were even good at taking hits until their nose run bloody and their lips were chapped, even bruised. The description of "odd' was perfect for them and still, it seems that there were even more things about them that made them so weird. Not only had they a habit of not treating their wounds probably, no, they also tried to downplay them and saying that they are not as bad as you think it is. Even when shadowheart tried to heal a claffing wound on their arm they just tried to get away from her healing spell - something about "dont waste it in me shadowheart, keep it until someone really needs it. Wyll got wounded too". It was weird but no one really questioned it, they shoved it onto the fact that tav was indeed a very selfless person. Always trying to do something good or even trying to give most of their being to people so that they didnt have to suffer - may it be a healing potion, a weapon or even the safe space behind a wall. Tav would always give up things like that, taking hits for every companion they got ans smile at them afterwards with reassuring words because "it doesnt hurt that much! Dont you worry!"
It was only time later when they found out the truth and its all because of that artist. Someone who they thought they're never gonna see ever again but here he was with a ghost in front of him and said ghost was just so mad at him that everyone was ready again to fight but instead they got to hear the whole story and when the ghost said why she was dead tavs eyes got dull for a second.
A second where it felt as if the ocean crashed right onto them, waves of unspoken sadness and a hidden longing no one wanted a admit, tidal waves who threaten to consume every last single bit of them, swallowing them whole and keeping them right into their embrace. It was as if someone spoke the right words for a curse to be lifted, a lingering curse everyone knew that it existed but no one wanted to admit. It was only then where everyone kind of knew why tav did things the way they did, why they never quite let their wounds heal or reopening them again in a battle. Why they never quite cared enough about themself to even try to heal anything about them. Why they never really took onto the pretty words everyone said to them in and out of camp, why they shied away from any ounce of love even though every single one loved them with such a burning passion that it would burn them and they would happily accept it. They would love to crumble under that heat and still they never really got it, of course they exchanged small little affecrionate gestures like hugs, cuddles or kisses on the cheek but it never seemed to go further than that. They knew that their tav was in shatters and pieces, still they tried to but them back together.. it just seemed that they never quite made it. As if it they were million miles away even though tav was right infront of them. Still that didnt stopped any of them to express their love for their leader, there was still hope that one day they would get into that broken little heart. Maybe they just needed time? Maybe love wouldnt heal them completely?
Maybe everything came into a full picture right here and then even though it was just a small second. After that incident everyone went back to camp where the inevitable came - all of them wanted to know what was going on but no one really dared to ask. It was such a delicate topic, they were scared that their beloved leader would built up even more walls, what they didnt know was the fact how much tavs heart ached - how much they yearned for the love they could have and even the relationship what was right infront of them. The only thing holding them back was fear. Fear that every single of them would see them as they see themself. That they would leave them with their heart in their hands and crush it like fallen leaves from a tree. They were so love and touched starved sometimes it felt like they were going crazy! They wanted all of this to be real and still there was a small voice in their heads telling them that they deserved none of this, that they are not important enough that someone would even care when they were gone. Just died in a battle or got swept away from the absolute. That all of them just love them because they were travelling together and as soon as the journey ends they going seperate ways. Astarion would live the life he wanted, karlach would get her own small home again, laezel fullfilling her wish of ascending, wyll roaming the coast, gale going back to tara and his tower, shadowheart living with her parents and halsin going back into the shadowlands so he can be with his old and beloved friend. That sounded real. That sounded like it would happen and not their little dream of living with them until death itselfs collects them. Still.. they dreamed about that little fantasy everyday, selfishly wanting that and nothing more. Just living in peace with every person they love.. then why does their heart hurt so much as soon as they're showing love for them? Is it too good to be true? Were they scared? Probably everything of the above.
So they really needed to talk to them all of them. And they're gonna do that, letting all of them into that broken heart of theirs and allowing themself to be happy?
... maybe if they let a little bit of sunshine into their pierced heart they may allow themself to dream a little longer with the. To accept the love they wanted to give. Maybe it wasnt such a bad wish after all?

- my man is stumbling in anything over over two inches
- He can walk in kitten heals and that is it
- Mostly because his mom had only two pairs and nothing over 1 1/2 inches
- Because he definitely played with his moms heals

what r ur thoughts about mel in general
mel is so mother, not in a bland girlboss way that people assign female characters they don't actually care about but don't want to be sexist but in a way that I imagine she could inflict emotional violence on me I would think about for decades and also in a gay way because she serves ultimate cunt. I don't like the two ends of the spectrum she gets though, it's either people thinking she is only an evil capitalist manipulator (she is a capitalist but let's not talk about arcanes class worldbuilding issues again lmao) or that she only ever had pure intentions - she did manipulate jayce, she absolutely did work her charm and found cracks in him she could dig her fingers in to make him work the way she wanted and THEN realised she genuinely cares for him. and I love that, I love that she likes a man who is stupider than her and then gets charmed by how earnest he is in his dumbassery
mels issue is fandom is that she's a black woman and people are racist djdjdjkdk and she's attached to a storyline and a man that is largely taken over in fandom landscape by a slash ship so she's always gonna lose, the fact that meljay is a rareship slays me dhsjjs and also her storyline starts kind of late in the season, like it doesn't really kick off until ambessa shows up and by then you have viktor committing unethical experiments and dying and the whole zaun storyline unfolding and everything surrounding jinx-silco-vi triangle is just so enrapturing in its insanity mel stood no chance
but ngl her storyline with ambessa has me gagged, I like gasped when ambessa went BECAUSE YOU WEAKENED ME like the way mel this whole time thought she just didn't live up to ambessas standard and then the realisation that ambessa felt like mel was putting her up to a standard she couldn't live up to and didn't want to accept and that the values she thought she couldn't embody that ambessa did are the reason she was exiled aaaaaaaaa. I hope they get more spotlight next season and noxus becomes more relevant because you see a set number of ways mother daughter relationships are portrayed in media and its rare that there's this sort of violence and strong mindedness present in them the way it often is in father son relationships. I love that mels arc is her rejecting her motherland and their values and building something for herself (like her taking off her family ring and voting for jayces peace treaty even tho the treaty was fucking stupid... jayce is real for that dumb idea just so we could get mels cunt moment and silcos mother coded sophies choice arc)
also there's mels brother who we don't know much about, we know that he was important to mel because duh he's her brother but also she looked up to him in some way. but because arcane moves so fast with its plot she doesn't even get a moment to grieve him
I don't write mel fics a lot tho, just because mel is somewhat smarter than me and that becomes an issue when she has to be written by me, a dumbass. and i cant combat that unlike with another character like with silco who is somewhat smarter than me but he is also extremely delusional and I can balance these out to make it work. acc maybe I need to figure out how to make her more delusional

Okay, review for crystal of time!
1. I adore Sophie in the previous books but now she's my WIFE. SHE SLAYED SO HARD IN THIS ONE. Her pov is my personal favourite to read and I keep waiting for her turn particularly because I love her setting and position. She was held captive, she had to be a bride, she was the closest to the enemies. So I love the fact that we get to know more about the twins through her, I love her struggles and frustration, her scheming and manipulation and the way the enemies are keeping eyes closely to her so every of her actions need to be calculated. Again, she slayed so hard. She was a badass and iconic. Sure Sophie can act like an airhead sometimes but you can't deny that she can be cunning and clever when she wants and she proves that time and time again in this book. This is my favourite book of hers (sorry book 2 Sophie, you have to take second place now).
2. I have a whole rant on Rhian and Sophie on another post. In short, I ship them so hard
3. The first years are adorable!!! I love every and each one of them, they're so cute and small and wholesome.
4. Anadil's rat... OMG GIRLY LET ME HUG YOU (she'd kill me)
5. The author knows what he was doing when he gave us Dovey's perspective. The only comfort I have is that she's with Lady Lesso now, and they're HAPPY TOGETHER.
6. Am I the only one that thinks Agatha and Tedros kind of blend in the background in this? At least in part 1. They were still amazing though and Agatha is rocking it as always.
7. Sophie and Agatha friendship!! Platonic soulmates at its finest, I just stan them so much. They will always love and protect each other and I find them the purest. Also, that scene where they helped Tedros walked and kept him warm is so wholesome!!!!
8. But the way Tedros kept doubting Sophie's loyalty made me want to strangle him honestly. Have some damn faith.
9. Is Aric and Japeth...more than friends? It certainly implied heavily, I think and despite being two matching psychopaths with 0 screentime together, I ship them ngl. There's just something so vulnerable and pure whenever Japeth talked about Aric and the way their relationship is described.
10. Ngl, it was a slow start for me especially in part one and the only pov I find interesting is Sophie's but the plot certainly picked up. However, there are also a lot of Info dumps in my opinion. Suddenly I'm facing a long paragraph that covers like two pages of what happened and has to slough through it.
Initially I want to give it 3 or 4 stars but the ending always leaves a mark and always leaves the biggest lasting impression of the book so it's a 5 for me lmao.

Xiao stops by Qingce Village from time to time on his nightly patrols, for the restless spirit of the old chi is not easily quietened. He can feel it sometimes—a sickening heat in the air, agitated whispers in the earth beneath his feet, an oppressive heaviness gathering around the edges of his vision. When the thrumming of violence starts ringing louder and louder in his ears—here, here, come here—he must chase it to its source, slay it, devour it whole—
Xiao inhales sharply. He forces the karmic binds to subside.
Qingce is a quiet little place, and it does not deserve to be tainted by an old god’s hatred.
Tonight, it is peaceful. Crickets chirp in the terraced fields, accompanied by the murmur of water from the slowly turning mill. A half-moon hangs in the sky, bathing the terraced fields in its soft, blue-white glow. Everything is as it should be. And yet…
It feels different— strangely lighter, almost, but Xiao knows that is impossible. It must be something else.
There’s a disturbance by one of the small houses near the outskirts of the village—the chi’s doing? Xiao teleports into a tree on the hill leading down to the fields, makes sure that he is hidden, and listens. There’s a muffled thump from inside the house, and he makes out the movement of shadowy figures against the light of a lantern.
“A-yun? Chongyun, can you hear us?”
“He’s passed out.”
Someone sighs. “His yang energy… what are we going to do, Zitian?” Wait. His… yang energy? Is that why—
“We can discuss that in the morning. Let him rest for now; I’ll get some water for him to drink when he wakes.”
Scuffling noises, and then footsteps growing fainter. A small figure is settled into the bed by the window. It is apparent that nothing dangerous is present—no spirits, no chi—but Xiao is distracted by something else. Because it is unmistakable now; he does feel lighter—freer. The constricting heaviness that weighs on him has lifted, as though a thousand years of karmic debt have been wiped cleanly away. In its place is the gentle night breeze, summer’s touch on the bare patch of skin on his back, the faint fragrance of qingxin in the air.
(He could, perhaps, grow used to this impossible feeling.)
He looks back at the house. There is a blue-haired boy lying in the bed, cheeks slightly flushed, his otherwise pale face illuminated by the soft white moonlight. One skinny leg sticks out from underneath a light blanket as he sleeps, dreamlessly.
So, this is the mortal whose overflowing yang energy must have temporarily rid Xiao of his karmic debt. He looks incredibly unassuming. Xiao cannot remember another human with such an imbalance of yang, even after many centuries of serving Liyue. The condition is rare, and his involvements with mortals rarer still—he may never have met the few other bearers of this peculiar gift. It is impressive, he supposes, that someone so young could have such an effect on curses so old. It is also unlikely, he knows, that he will ever see this boy again. That would be best for both of them; even a unique constitution is far from enough to withstand the nature of Xiao’s karma, and for Xiao, this brief respite has already been enough.
If it is fated, they will meet again.
He slips away before the moon is halfway across the star-speckled sky.

author's notes time! a) I have a headcanon that chongyun's family owns some kind of small house in Qingce that's convenient when they're on long trips. b) Zitian is a random name I chose for Chongyun's dad—there's no deeper meaning, I just thought it sounded nice. the 2 ppl talking are Chongyun's parents. c) this scenario wouldn't happen in my head actually LOL. I think if cy were to take a trip out when he's young, he would get sent with an older cousin or two, his parents would probably stay in their mt tianheng residence (wherever it is). idt you need a full set of parents to just bring a kid to tag along on some spirit exorcising d) rather unsatisfied with this ngl but it took me 1 week and I want to be Done with it so here you go. e) probably made up some lore in this take things with a grain of salt f) the most important thing to know about me is that i fucking love writing descriptions and inner monologues and I hate coming up with plot

Earlier today, I was reminded of the fact that Macduff was able to slay Macbeth in the titular story, despite the witches’ prophecy of ‘No man born of woman will be able to kill Macbeth’, due to him technically being a C-section baby, and I’m ngl, when I read Macbeth in highschool, I was a little disappointed because I though that the prophecy meant that a woman would be the one to kill Macbeth. Not sure who said woman would have been (I should point out that the version of Macbeth I read as a teen was an abridged version, so there might very well be some stuff I’m missing), but to teenage! me it felt like Shakespeare was kind of bending over backwards just to ensure that Macbeth wouldn’t be killed by a gasp! WOMAN!
Anyway, given that I know that parts of the writing in Lord of the Rings were based off J.R.R. Tolkien’s own disappointments with Shakespeare stories (i.e. the ents were because he was disappointed that the ‘walking forest’, also from Macbeth, was just some soldiers disguised as trees or something), so I’m just taking Eowyn’s ‘I am no man’ bit as Tolkien’s answer to that. No, you can’t change my mind.

What does Evil Nerevar see in the Dragonborn that makes him believe it's Voryn?
Regardless of sex or race, what makes Nerevar believe, without a doubt, that it's his Voryn.
I’m still awake but I gotta answer bc I’ve been thinking about it
I think evil Nerevar spiraled shortly after killing dagoth ur. In his mind he’s murdered Voryn a second time and is a failure who can’t even save the person he loved. Azura needed him to lead the Dunmer but Nerevar saw no point to it. The world may as well end. Or he may as well die to join him.
Azura did what she thought was a good thing: gave him visions of his reincarnation. Showed him the world isn’t hopeless as they’ll be reborn as the last dragonborn and slay dragons. That’s kinda why he headed to akavir at first—he thought that’s where dragons were, is Voryn there?? But then he goes back when it’s confirmed no. When dragons return to Tamriel
Though his sanity has still been slipping ngl. The 200 some odd years have not been kind to him. Especially after the corprus nightmares from dagoth ur. Nerevar becomes more than a little paranoid too as there are more and more political attacks on his life following the red year, as people saw it as punishment from the tribunal for Nerevar’s violence towards them. To them, he hurt and chased away their gods, and left them forsaken. A false hero wearing the name of a saint that doesn’t belong to him. A monster who has destroyed their home on his blasphemous mission. A man rumored to have killed the tribunal himself, to those who are willing to believe the worst (most deny that their gods are dead, instead believing they vanished and left them). This left him with a loss of identity, doubting himself further, feeling gaslit and hopeless but pushing through because at some point Voryn will be back. He saw in his visions. Azura promised. He’s seen their face and knows their power. It’s all going to be worth it for Voryn.
To help with managing the people she blessed him to take on his old Chimer appearance and give out blessings of the three, which helped establish the old religion. But there were cracks in the foundation. He made finding Voryn again his kind of life’s mission and goal. The thing that made it all worth while. He never considered the possibility this would be a new person with their own thoughts and feelings who may not remember, want to remember, or even feel the same way as him. (Though the choice will be whether or not you believe your dragonborn is the reincarnation or if Azura was telling some lies to keep him sane in hopes he’d help stop alduin)
Because Nerevar had his identity stripped from himself and rationalized it all away, he believes the same to Voryn’s reincarnation and that it’ll be okay in the end. In his mind Voryn has been just as lost and in pain as him, looking for comfort and answers. Looking for a proper home that Nerevar owes him after all the suffering he put Voryn through in their first life. And at its core it’s not born out of malice.
But it is still toxic. Because he isn’t truly thinking about what the dragonborn might want or need and instead about comforting himself. To keep himself together he’s given up part of his sanity to instead obsess over Voryn and worked himself up into “what if I lose him again? What if he dies? I need to keep him locked up and safe. I can’t lose him again. I can’t bear the thought of seeing him dead again and having to find him all over again. I can’t do this without him”
Sorry if I rambled. Tl;dr: Azura showed him visions of the dragonborn to keep him going and he got more than a little obsessive about it. The funny thing about reincarnations though is not all of them are the same as how Nerevar experienced it having his previous identity stripped from him and was forced to be Nerevar again. Even if the dragonborn is Voryn’s reincarnation that doesn’t mean they wanna just adopt his identity, memories, and play house with Nerevar to keep him happy. And that’s the part he doesn’t get.

SaL anon here friend and you know I wasn't about to go into the finale without spoilers, especially after last night. And I can say the wedding looks lovely. Too bad it's only the last 15 minutes and instead we spent 3/4 of the final episode on Another. Fucking. Murder Plot. Is Tim still aware this is a weewoo show?? Much like I would have cut Buck's plots this season, i would easily have subbed the entire marriage plot for some actual build up to Gabriel dying. Anyway, for us both 🍸🍸🍸🍸.
To be fair they didn't spend *too* much time on the murder plot and it ended unsolved (for the season, I fully expect it to come up later). But that's....also kind of the problem? It NEEDED more time to breathe. And look, I do NOT like Gabriel dying, I think it's dumb and I would rather have gotten more of him and Carlos working together down the line. HOWEVER if they were dead set on this needing to happen why for the love of CHRIST did they not have Gabriel die early in the season and had that be the investigation Owen was doing instead of the honor dog's thing??? They wanted Owen and O'Brian working together and working with the FBI? Why tie it to some side character we barely know and did not likes's nephew and not to a main character?!?! Why have all the Iris drama when they cut that in s1 and could have left it burried and instead had this be Carlos' storyline all season? It even could have tied into him getting kidnapped!
NGL, I am sitting here like
and LOL-ing a little bit about Lone Star being the finale with the big wedding and giving the fans 2 hours of heavy death and trauma with a sprinkling of wedding fun, while OG was supposed to have a big disaster and went the toxic positivity route by wrapping it up quick with everyone suddenly fine and back at work with no issues, and slapping love interests on Buck and Eddie at the last second.
The wedding was indeed lovely, and the Tarlos scenes were *chef's kiss* and Rafa just SLAYED this episode, good for him. It could have been so much more though and would have improved the season as a whole to have shifted some of these storylines so they weren't all crammed into the finale.
I am going to bed to read some Buddie smut because damn I need something happy after all that.

Secret Invasion ep. 3 review
While definitely slower paced than the first two, I did enjoy the third episode of ‘Secret Invasion.’ The best parts for me are when Ben Mendelsohn is on screen. I love this guy. He really puts his all into his performance and really delivers on every scene he’s in. There’s so much charisma whenever he’s on screen. I also love his chemistry with Samuel L. Jackson. Talos and Fury talk like an old married couple and I’m living for it.
Even though I do wish there was more action at times, I am enjoying the serious tone of this show. We’re halfway done and it does feel very small and self-contained due to budgetary reasons and what not. Regardless, I do appreciate the serious tone and the acting from Jackson and Mendelsohn.
I’ve also come to enjoy Kingsley Ben-Adir’s performance as well. Gravik is definitely a threat and Ben-Adir delivers. As always, Olivia Coleman slays. Her crisp delivery of dialogue is quite amusing to listen to. However, I can’t really say the same for Emilia Clarke. I love Emilia ever since Game of Thrones. But I don’t feel like this show is giving her much to do. Hopefully, the last three episodes will really showcase what she can do.
If I’m being honest, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos is what’s carrying the show for me. Talos is a wonderful character with so much kindness and compassion inside him. Mendelsohn’s heartfelt performance on top of his great scenes with Samuel L. Jackson make it worthwhile. And I am worried that Marvel will kill him off next week (for narrative reasons obviously). Well, at least we still have 3 episodes of amazing Talos content right?

I don’t think G’iah is really dead. We’ve seen extremis in use when Gravik healed his hand. We also see Emilia Clarke in scenes from the trailers that haven’t shown up yet. Unless we get official confirmation, she’s fine. Although, Talos finding out about what Gravik did would break him.
What is Varra up to. She’s suspicious ngl.
Talos standing up for himself against Gravik was awesome. He may be tired of fighting and wants to keep the peace, but he still has it in him in need be.

I love offgun in this new show, the dynamic is great and it's cartoony but in just the right way *coughmiddlemanslovecough* but what has been your favorite and least favorite elements so far and do you think it will get deeper or stay sweet and candy-coated? (I'm down bad for either!)
yessssss, the cartoonish aspect is so fun! ngl I haven't watched middleman's love when they decided to replace mii2 but apart from that I always feel like no other country can do silly like thai dramas lol. like idk they just can push the boundaries of comedy while still making their show good in a way most other tv shows I've seen can't!
anyways, my favorite elements are the chemistry, of course, which is just so... offgun. even though I usually prefer offgun in shows where they're more upset (lmao I love my men crying leave me alone), it's really nice to see them in this kind of show & their natural chemistry is so perfect you can tell they barely have to put any effort for it to look amazing. apart from that, I truly love ten & prem as characters SO FUCKING MUCH. I'll try to keep it short bc I legit could write a whole essay about them but I truly love how they're both genuinely good people who should be bland & boring, but instead are not AT ALL. also, despite the cartoonish-ness of the show, they genuinely feel like real people. we have ten who is both a hot, rich, smart & perfect love interest (which are usually boring ngl) but is also very dramatic & silly & has that nerdy loser quality to him (and it's not just the glasses I promise) which is such a paradoxical combo yet works SO SO well??? as for prem, I wasn't as sold to him before the show aired but I FUCKING LOVE HIM??? he's again, kind of the cliche main character good guy that the viewer is meant to see themselves reflected in, but they made him sassy and feisty, and proud but also insecure and I just... root for him so hard ngl. these two are such strong characters they're really carrying the show, but another element I love is the acting bc I didn't think gun could slay a comedic role this well & I'm sorry I ever doubted him! as for off, it's incredible to see that he once again managed to make one of his characters absolutely unrecognizable from his others, idk if anyone else noticed or if I'm just that one completely unhinged off stan but he kinda changed his way of speaking for this role??? he speaks way softer & more proper which is a very drastic change from who off is usually lol. also another element I love are the locations & especially prem's house/restaurant... it looks so cozy & beautiful 🥺
the element I don't like is gmmtv not putting up the uncut version of the episodes on their channel. the cut version can stay on tv who fucking cares but them not putting out the uncut version for inter fans is ACTIVELY hurting the show. first of all, the cut scenes should NEVER have been cut in the first place, they are not superfluous at all & develop the relationships (especially firedynamite's one) further. second of all, the cutting of the scenes just make the editing look SO weird bruh, the cut eps look unprofessional. and lastly, it hurts the views of the show, of course, bc most people are not gonna watch it on gmmtv's channel & are just gonna wait for it to leak on kissasian & dramacool, which is simply horrible. the whole thing about gmmtv releasing their shows on youtube is bc it profits them greatly in terms of viewerships & marketing. so yeah, that's my least favorite thing about cooking crush. there's some other things but they're nowhere near that bad lol so I'll wait for more episodes or for my official 'axelle judges bl shows' review to put everything out at once.
lastly, I do think the show will stay just sweet & quit surface-level. from the original mock trailer, we know there will likely be one crying scene but that's kinda it I imagine. personally, for a show to become my favorite I need more angst & more depth, but I never really went into cooking crush thinking it would give me that. I've rarely encountered a comedy that doesn't stay quite surface-level. do I wish the show would explore the characters' sexualities, ten's daddy issues, fire's mommy issues & tenprem's social inequality more in order to make it more deep? yeah, I'm ngl. do I think that's what they're going for? absolutely not. that being said they might surprise me bc girl next room: richy rich (with off as lead & by the same director and screenwriter) did explore the mindset of an ex-poor person become suddenly rich as well as social inequality with quite a bit of nuance, so we never know!
