Going into this you’re going to have to sort of switch your moral brain off, especially if you’re watching for the romance. Everyone is a total asshat, especially the main male lead. The chemistry between both main leads are beyond excellent, just morally questionable. I mean the only sort of decent moral compass character is the female lead, even though she does some black mailing herself, to the male lead. To me the the male lead, Lee Sang Yoon’s character, was a total scumbag. Especially throughout the first half. Essentially the whole drama is about who can betray who the most. I can’t count how many times each character double crossed each one another. Was it entertaining, yeah. I quite enjoyed it. I did however fast forward through some scenes.

Hello, juste un tumblr pour regrouper mes personnages de Role Play littéraire. Je crée mes personnages en fonction de mes jeux, du moins principalement. C'est un seul jeu par personnage.

Si écrit : "En jeu avec untel/le" le personnage n'est plus disponible. Si écrit : "Hors ligne" je n'incarne plus ce personnage du tout. Si écrit : "Libre / disponible" c'est qu'il l'est vraiment et on peut en discuter pour entamer éventuellement un jeu ensemble.

NB : J'aime les jeux à tendance "romance". Assez sombre, complexe. J'aime torturer mes personnages. Je préfère la romance BL mais le mixte est pas exclu.

Comparable to: Strangers From Hell (kdrama) ; Goedam (kmovie)

So this is a semi horror (more leaning on thriller type) with multiple stories intertwined into one type of deal. It does work out well with small twists here and there. I’m not sure if I like the drama version more then the movie version since the drama version explores a tiny (very tiny) bit more details on the characters. 🤷‍♀️ it’s still a nice watch nonetheless.

[CHRONIQUE CINÉ] JUSTE SOUS VOS YEUX de Hong Sang-soo Toujours aussi prolifique, le coréen Hong Sang-soo a présenté l’an dernier deux films en festival : ‘Introduction’ en février à la Berlinale et ‘Juste sous vos yeux’ en juillet au Festival de Cannes [deux autres longs-métrages sont en approche : ‘La Romancière, le film et le heureux hasard’ prévu pour le 15 février prochain et ‘Walk Up’ pour plus tard]. ‘Juste sous vos yeux’ est une œuvre particulièrement lumineuse et touchante dans la filmographie du réalisateur qui, tout en restant fidèle à son style bien à lui, s’octroie quelques écarts savoureux et se laisse aller à une simplicité plus accueillante. Le long-métrage est une franche réussite. Présenté dans la toute nouvelle section Cannes Première permettant à la Croisette d’accueillir plus de films que d’habitude en cette année de reprise, il aurait largement mérité sa place en Compétition. Elle n’a jamais vécu dans une tour et elle se demande comment sa sœur peut vivre à cette hauteur au quotidien. Quelques jours plus tôt, elle a débarqué chez sa sœur et se réhabitue à la vie en Corée. “Le temps présent est une bénédiction.” Cette phrase, évoquée dans les premières minutes du film, résume l’esprit d’hédonisme de ce dernier. Le bonheur se trouverait ainsi “juste sous [nos] yeux”. Sur un sujet assez proche de son long-métrage nostalgique ‘Hotel by the River’ (2020, en noir et blanc) mais dans un traitement diamétralement opposé et tourné ici vers la lumière, ‘Juste sous vos yeux’ (en couleurs très vives) est un petit bijou façonné avec soin. On y suit la protagoniste dans l’intimité de ses sentiments (ses prières en voix off, le bonheur par rapport au cadeau qu’elle reçoit de son neveu), sa perception accrue des détails de la vie qu’elle observe sous un nouveau jour (les paysages coréens, la floraison, la présence inattendue d’un pont, la finition d’une serrure), son souhait de ne pas se soucier des choses futiles (la tâche sur son vêtement laissée telle quelle, l’éclat de rire pour contrebalancer une déception) et ses petits plaisirs quotidiens (les cigarettes fumées un peu partout, le goût apprécié du café). Le réalisateur réemploie comme à son habitude certains de ses motifs caractéristiques (le film est majoritairement constitué de discussions autour d’un verre de café/thé ou de bon nombre de verres d’alcool, un personnage est réalisateur) mais il se laisse aller à des séquences assez inédites et de toute beauté (le chant à la guitare, le souvenir que la protagoniste entend à travers la fenêtre comme d’ailleurs dans l’autre film cannois ‘Memoria’ cette année) et renouvèle une partie de son casting habituel (Lee Hye-Young offre une partition très inspirée pour sa première collaboration avec le réalisateur, Kim Min-hee n’est pour une fois pas présente dans le film en tant qu’actrice mais seulement à la coproduction). Hong Sang-soo s’amuse même à titiller la curiosité du spectateur sur le sujet des rêves, qui ne nous seront étonnamment jamais dévoilés (la protagoniste croit qu’elle ne rêve pas la nuit, sa sœur a pour superstition qu’elle ne peut dévoiler ses rêves avant une certaine heure -midi- et donc n’a pas l’occasion de le faire dans le film !). Hong Sang-soo réalise ici peut-être son film le plus immédiatement touchant et poursuit avec un entrain intact les variations de son délicieux cinéma. A noter que le réalisateur coréen sera présent à l’hiver prochain à la Cinémathèque pour un cycle de rétrospective en son honneur, incluant notamment une avant-première de ‘La Romancière, le film et le heureux hasard’.
