She stood awkwardly in the middle of Mr. Hwang's humongous living room, at least twice the size of her whole house. Most of the furniture looked brand new and more expensive than her organs so she decided it would be best to stand until Mr. Hwang invited her to sit. She was hoping Juwoo would stay and accompany her but instead left almost immediately to pick up Hwang and his daughter. Meanwhile, she busied herself with scanning the mansion.

White dominated the room, from the furniture to the walls, matched with light brown tiles, the ceiling seemed to stretch forever and in the middle of it all was an extravagant chandelier. Her gaze followed the stairs leading to a second story, where she assumed rooms larger than her living room lined the hallway. She imagined a gigantic kitchen island with all its appliances working and a separate table to accomodate guests.

Her imagining Hwang's different displays of wealth were cut short with the front door creaking open, revealing Mr. Hwang and a young woman walking beside him with Juwoo tailing behind. She crossed her wrists in front of her, "Ryujin, welcome! You look great," Hwang said rather enthusiastically as he handed a blazer jacket draped on his arm to Juwoo, he placed his palm flat on her back and pushed lightly, they started walking together toward another area of the house.

The kitchen was just as she had imagined, the table could accomodate at least twelve people at once, plus five more counting the counter seats that were part of the kitchen island. Hwang settled himself at the seat in the middle, the woman beside him on the left side. He gestured Ryujin to sit across the young woman and she did as asked, "Ryujin, this is Yeji, my daughter," pointing to her then the other across her and vice versa when he introduced the new bodyguard.

Ryujin finally let herself observe the woman, she seemed young though not much younger than her. A look in her eyes told her she held something back, biting her tongue perhaps, there's something she desperately wants said here but would not be in her presence, but a single glance toward the direction of her father tell her everything she need to know.

Yeji crossed her arms and legs, tapping her foot as she leaned back on her chair, Ryujin's brow twitched upward in surprise. A groan from the young woman sounded through the room, "Dad all my friends-," already knowing what would come out her mouth, he interrupted with a brief and simple no. The quick shut down was met with a slam to the table, crossed her arms again after the mini tantrum.

The older woman watched the scene play out silently, this attempt to go unnoticed failed as the woman finally acknowledged her existence, smirked and raised a brow all at once, leaned and talked in a hushed tone, "You'll be running away just like the rest of them," a wicked smile lingered in her lips for a second and disappeared once she crossed her arms like before.

A raspy laugh escaped Ryujin's lips before she leaned back on her chair and tilted her head slightly to the side, "How cute," in the same low raspy tone. An offended look came over Yeji's features, on the other hand, her father was evidently elated.

One of his biggest mistake was hiring people who would not dare to keep their ground with his daughter for fear of losing the job, a mistake he's repeated several times. Now he has reason to believe Ryujin would be exactly what he's looking for, not only that but someone who he's confident will keep his daughter out of trouble.

Opening her mouth to reply, Yeji was once again cut short with Juwoo entering the room and sitting himself down beside Ryujin, the food came shortly after, served by two women dressed in matching scrub uniforms, Ryujin watched intently, as if entranced by their movements. They set the table like clockwork then settled themselves on Ryujin and Juwoo's side. All except Yeji scooped up food for themselves. Yeji looked around the group astounded, not believing the audacity of her new bodyguard, even more astonishing that she'll presumably be stuck with her for twenty-four hours of the seven days of the week.

The rest of the lunch went smoothly, only the clinking of utensils colliding with plates could be heard. Yeji mostly played with her food but across from her, Ryujin basically inhaled it. She was naturally hesitant to refill her plate with food at first but once Hwang had reassured her enough, she almost finished the bowl of the served food. Ryujin loved the food, if that wasn't apparent, she was the last to finish and even Yeji was not able to hide her amusement.

Once Ryujin had adequately satisfied her appetite, a loud burp came from her that filled the two women in scrubs with delight. Hwang then was first to scurry off as he had business to tend to and of course he brought Juwoo along with him. Before he hurried off though, he sternly gave instructions to not lose sight of Yeji, not even for a split second.

Ryujin went back to awkwardly standing in the middle of Hwang's living room, respectfully scanning her surroundings once again. She had expected much more from this job, it'd be much more fitting to call her a babysitter than a bodyguard. Her train of thoughts were interrupted with a weak shove but enough to turn her around and face whoever it is.

"I don't know who told you it was okay to talk to me like that but I could get you fired with a snap of a finger," the younger woman threatened as she closed the distance between their faces. Ryujin laughed and threw her head back comically.

"I'd like to see you try missy," the latter retorted. Yeji rolled her eyes then turned her back to her, hips swaying as she walked away and disappeared upstairs. Ryujin shook her head, index finger and thumb pinching the bridge of her nose. She might as well have developed aneurysm just from the few encounters prior, she cannot imagine what it'd be like to spend as much time with her as her job required her to.
