Doc Roe fanfics from FFN

I figured I’d make a post recommending some Gene fics I found on fanfiction.net in case there’s anybody else out there who read all the AO3 ones and wanna read more. I hate using the site to read, so I always use this site to convert fics to epub before I read them.

1. The Whole Nine Yards by ChocAndSnow19 (224,656)

Jessica Prichard starts off as a nurse helping around the aid station in Aldbourne before becoming Easy’s air support. This one is my favorite from FFN. It hasn’t been updated in a few years, but I recently commented on it and the author responded to me saying she’s going to continue it! If you like it, leave a comment and give this story some love!

2. Dangerous Disguise by A Soldier of My Own (145,088)

Sam Branigan is Easy Company’s nurse. She works alongside Gene throughout the story. Their relationship goes from childhood acquaintances/enemies to strangers to friends to lovers. Something I thought was unique in this story that I’d never seen before was that her and Gene got a weekend pass to visit Paris. The way it ended was so cute because it referenced something that happened at the very beginning of the story when they were kids. This is my second fav from FFN!

3. The Curiosity of Chocolate by violeinne (14,742)

This one is an AU of if Renee survived the church bombing, and her and Gene write letters to each other throughout the rest of the war. It’s a short one but it’s cute!

“An AU in which Renée survived the bombing of Bastogne. She and Doc Roe begin a correspondence after Easy Company leaves Bastogne.”

4. We Lucky Few by HockeyKid6622 (110,990)

This one is about the army experimenting with having female soldiers and Henrietta (Chucky) Griest is the first one. It’s very slow burn and the relationship between her and Gene didn’t feel like the main focus of it. There’s tidbits sprinkled throughout but it’s mainly focused on her experiences as a soldier rather than their relationship. There’s a sequel (40k) that focuses on her and Gene’s life after the war with their kids and it definitely has the most post-war content of any other fic I’ve read, but be warned it has a sad ending. I personally like when fics have a happy ending/end during the midst of a happy moment so you can think about them being happy after you finish rather than it ending with death/epiloguey, so if you’re the same way you might not wanna read the last few chapters of the sequel.

FFN has a lot of Band of Brothers fanfic for every character so if you’ve already read everything AO3 has, I’d recommend searching on there for more. Here’s a link with filters to help you find the best. If the link doesn’t work, just go to the bottom and sort by “follows”, “rating: all”, and choose your favorite character in the characters list. You can even sort by length if you want. Find your fics, bookmark em or download em, and repeat for each of your favorite characters. I don’t recommend using the pairing button because a lot of authors don’t even use it. Sometimes authors don’t even write the relationship in the description so I’ll just click on the fic and skim through one of the last chapters to find out what the relationship is.

5 - Fav rusical?

Bestie the WORMHOLE you've opened in my mind omg this debacle has been going on for centuries for me. I've settled on three which are the Thailand Rusical, El Mago Precoz and Under the big top AND HEAR ME OUT.

So like the Thailand one, amazing everyone slayed and it was overall just a great rusical. Which then made it a great episode. Amazing and I still get the first song stuck in my head sometimes.

El Mago Precoz idk if u saw me during that era but oh my god. Bestiah and Hornella slayed SO HARD like omgggg the songs were adorable like I enjoyed myself probably more than anyone else 😭 it got me THRU stuff iykyk 😔

Under the big top besides from the fact some of us including me have adopted Corsette into somewhat of an oc (good lord) it's just so funny?? Like besides "I got a, trick up my, sleeve" and whatever the hell the comedy clowns thing was like they rlly just had to go w what they had 😭😭😭 Also Icesis absolutely having none of it like it was giving Zayn really not wanting to freestyle during X-Factor auditions to me 😭

10 - What season would you recommend to someone who's never seen the show?

For US either 3, 6 or 12. That's like the easy answer 😭 but like if u wanna set a standard I'd say drph s1. Like it had drama, an amazing cast and amazing looks. It had Pop Off Ate?? Set the bar high be invested alll the way.

17 -Fav snatch game performance?

OH MY GODDDDD either Dakota as Pete Burns, Arizona as Adele (+ joint efforts by Hana Beshie as Jessica Soho) or Pearl as Big Ang. The first three speak for themselves but the way I have to restrain myself everyday from going "I'm so excitedddd" IS SO 😭😭😭

my umineko galaxy brained interpretation is that tohya and ikuko didnt even create erika. i think witch-hunters learned of her case and connected it for fun to Rokkenjima because it was SLIGHTLY feasible so they could throw an oc "perfect detective" onto the island. lets be honest here. witch-hunters prolly would get sick of battler as a detective. they would CRAVE the ability to make a true crime oc.

thats what i think erika really is. they dug into the life of this girl who died tragically. then just used her for their forgeries. it makes the fact that she wears jessicas old clothes even more sickening--i would assume witch-hunters looked into ushiromiya past photos and such, and someone decided to throw their oc in a dress jessica was waeing in a photo.

anyways. i dont think tohya made her up i think he and ikuko just took the fandom fav oc. and they (appropriately) made her act grotesquely to highlight the shittiness of the other forgeries.

aka i think some of tohyas writing was in response to other forgeries ie his "contemporaries". Theres this whole level of umineko we dont know because we dont see other forgeries and we only know 2.5 authors (yasu, tohya, ikuko...... And sort of another half author in eva....but her work isnt a forgery)

Faust, Kenzo, Benibara, mean gorls trio👹💅✨™ (Avery, Clover, Jolie) and Aotome would probably be OUT tho bcs they're pricks

Dallas is an obvious no because he's more of a prick than the last people💀

Banji has a bit of a temper, so if she bumped into him at the wrong time he'd be a bit of a salty prick, but otherwise they could probably be friends (I need to develop Banji more tbh lol)

Kumo would probably be a slow friendship if she stuck around long enough, he starts out a bit prickly but he's a sweetie at heart

Cho-Hee's a similar situation except he's just unintentionally big and spooky to people😔✌️

Cweepy's pretty shy at first, but I think they could still be friends! And Cweepy would be very hesitant to ask for help from Carol tho- she doesnt do well with strict attitudes

The Festus twins are just protective over each other, but they could still probably be friends!

Marinus might be unfortunately OUT, since he might unintentionally jump Carol if he was hungry enough💀 ALTHOUGH maybe it could work if she just packed snacks in her bag just in case (kind of like this post!)

If Carol was 2 inches taller, Momo would vanish💀 but since she's not, they could be friends after like a week or so! However, I feel like Carol probably wouldnt be able to unless she can keep Dallas out of the image PLEASE SAVE MOMO

Venus and Dell would probably approach Carol first! They're both very curious and social so they'd be interested in knowing about her!

Hextian and Kamïk are also OUT because I dont think Carol can handle the utter stench that comes from Hex (unless she has a face-mask ig?), He's not a bad guy! He just stank💀

Kamïk is because he's a mischievous gremlin, however, if he's with his girlfriend (who I still need to draw+make refs for💀) they're much more tolerable and friendly!

Roan is maybe a no, because he's also kinda prickly

Pepper is really paranoid, so its unfortunately a no😔✌️

Amos might be a bit too forward and flirtacious so idk if Carol is ok with that lol

Enid would be alright with Carol! Kinda like the bestie that fights people for you-

Mindel and Carol would definitely be friends! Someone to chill with in a sort of coffee shop setting while looking through notes or smth

Jaiden would also enjoy being friends with Carol! He doesn't mind the clumsiness and sort of relates (despite being able to go around and adapting to life with his eyes closed, if he's in a hurry he's more likely to crash into people/things)

Frey would also want to approach Carol first! Might ramble about tomatoes and gardening!

Cherokee would probably see an opportunity to flex the magic tricks >:)

If he ever got tutoring from someone else's recommendations, he probably accidently dozed off once and then never again

Shiloh would be quite shy at first but eventually open up to her! Probably sees her as a big sister and would develop the habit of holding her hand a lot

As for who do I hate but still love? You know, I don't know actually. I had never thought about it.

Anyways, as for my Rainbow friend ocs? Or my furry/creature ocs?? We'll just do rf ocs haha -- but first. Some notes: this is my first au of them<3

Pink = Pink is Blue's sister, not biologically related but they see each other as siblings, since they both were created on the same day. When Pink was younger, she was a recolor of Blue and absolutely hated it but she couldn't exactly complain about it since the scientists' weren't so. . .uh. . .good to her and the other odd world colors. Though when she got to her teenage years, she got a new design by Jessica(Her creator), but what's sad is that her second design was mostly dead odd world colors that died through the experiments stitched to her. She may have never haven't gotten a chance to know them, but she still was horrified. Later on life, she dated Red. The two were-- or had a okay relationship, but soon broke up when the truth was revealed. And just so you know, it was NOT a pretty breakup. At all. After years passed, Red returned and Pink was still wishing she had a new design, she couldn't ask Jessica to redesign her again, since the science woman despised and hated the odd world colors. (Except Magenta) and when she reunited with Red again, it took a few weeks for them to become normal goos friends, and once they did, she wanted him to redesign her. So he did, even if it meant going through five panic attacks just to help her. Also she receives kill mode later on in her life. Yikes-

I swear I will make a better fleshed out explanation on all of them, just- give me time haha-

Slate = This chubby short lil grumpy guy doesn't have a much of a backstory but he does have some history with Pink, the two are good friends. Slate has a crush on Honeydew, but he's a tsundere. Oh and by the way, he's uh- he's having some mental issues and is dealing with depressing thoughts. He also has kill mode, though nobody knows how he got it.

Candycane = This crazy holiday rainbow creature was created at the start of November and was finished on December 12th. She was a bit crazy at the time but as she grew older, she got more crazier and tends to get herself into trouble. A lot. Though she tries her best to do some things, and sometimes try and be a good partner to Nightlight despite never really experiencing love in their life.

Nightlight belongs to this person

Chocolate = This poor gal lost her fucking legs during a experiment, brutally ripped off. So ptsd for her! Even more so when her creator, Jessica (who's also Pink's creator), had ripped her eye out as a punishment for disobeying his orders. She is *SUPER* emotional and is much more sensitive than Strawberry is. However she developed a disliking towards Slate, who constantly makes fun of her for having no legs. Poor gal can't catch a break, but hey, at least she has Aura.

Aura belongs to this person

Strawberry = The poor giant chubby gal was too late to save a human friend of hers, the woman was named Laura and was killed by Jessica. Nobody knows why she killed her, or how she did it but Strawberry developed a fear of being too late of saving her friends. However, she is super sweet and loving to everyone, and is practically the caretaker of children of any types. She is also in a relationship with Lulu and is quite happy. Though she still terribly misses Laura :(

Black = This guy was created by the rainbow friends themselves, it was mostly Blue's idea because Red wasn't there, he had been presumably dead as hell out in the wild after the truth revealed. So originally, Black was a replacement for Red until things went horribly wrong. Nobody knows how or why but Black was created with kill mode and went on a rampage, he had no absolute control over himself and his kill mode at the time, but now he's just chilling and is now mates with Orange, taking care of any rainbow creature kids.

Black & Pink are my first ones haha-

White = I'm remaking him so nothing on him yet, sorry<3

Violet = This gal had miraculously survived throughout dangerous experiments at such a young age, however, they received scars and practically is missing a arm due to those experiments. She is also half blind too. However, she may not talk much and is always being assumed of being muted, they always are chill and acts more like a background character and prefers it that way. She doesn't like attention or drama involving themselves.

Rusty = Ah yes, our magic nerd rainbow creature who always and still believes magic is real. Rusty grew up being told/lied to about fantasy stuff being real, so like, he believes any fantasy creatures were real and such. Also when he was young, he was a female but now he's a male, meaning he's Transgender. However, throughout his life, he is kinda childish. Always believing liars and is somewhat good friends with Lime, but he soon developed a crush but unfortunately Lime has no interest in him and just sees him as a friend.

Neon = It usually goes "Neon" or "Rainbow" due to him having all sorts of different colors, of course, they were created and supposed to be a weapon for odd world though things went south and Neon ended up killing his creator, Aaron. However, they somehow ended up crushing on Grey, and it confuses him. Also they can change her form and is NOT a ghost despite looking like one. Neon goes by many names and is just a insane boi. They absolutely love scaring ppl though<3

The Candy Collector/Bittersweet = He goes by many, many, many different names. Most of these names are based off types of certain candy, and such. Though they mostly use "Bittersweet" and "Sugarcoat". He was created at the beginning of August, his creation took much longer due to his extra arms and the abilities the scientists' were giving him. And the rainbow machine was having issues, as well as Bittersweet. His creation was finished at the end of September, and they placed him in the wooden cabin since that's the easiest place for them to give children candy. When October rolled around, Bittersweet started to become a bit more unstable than he usually is. On October 31th, the day of Halloween, that's when he snapped. Bittersweet had killed about 4 or 5 kids, causing the place to shut down and him being thrown out. Though they decided to sneak out and run off, leaving the play place. Oh and by the way, Blue and Purple knows him. Bittersweet had never returned, until later on. Though even now, nobody knows where they live now.

Yellowstone = Our poor derpy gal who can only smile and absolutely despises the odd circus, she was a failed experiment at odd world but was transferred to the odd circus, a place of failed experiments would go. Yellowstone absolutely hates the circus and the people in it, they all treat her and the others like shit. Though she is always how positive she is in front of others but really, she's just dying inside, hating life, and doesn't have a good view of a actual good life. She also despises Sunset.

Blueberry = Another failed experiment, she is short and chubby and is playful. She tries her best to make Yellowstone feel better despite hating the circus herself, she is such a troublemaker and is often viewed as a screw-up, though she doesn't care for the insults. Though she knows Yellowstone is sensitive about pretty much anything. Also Blueberry was created in the circus, so she has no idea there are other places.

Blackberry = He can't really change his mouth expression, and is often pranking others. Trying to ignore the pain he usually gets from the people that treats them all like shit, he is now questioning his sexuality when he started crushing on Blood Orange. Also he's a failed experiment. He can also teleport, so it makes it more easier to prank others and get away. He usually accidentally scares Yellowstone.

Blood Orange belongs to this person

Sunset = She is the favorite, she is loved by the people, the audience and the children. She absolutely loves the circus, not realizing the people were injuring the others, or maybe she does and doesn't care. Either way, she absolutely enjoys making fun of them, especially Yellowstone since she knows that Yellowstone wasn't created in the circus.

Snowflake = The one and only so far that had been transferred to odd world, nobody knows why or how they did it. He was just suddenly transferred to odd world, he is quiet most of the time and nervous too. He is socially awkward and was super awkward when he had explained his situation to Pink. Before anything, yes he's a failed experiment, and yes, Pink welcomed him in despite being awkward herself. So far, Snowflake lived in odd world without worrying the life of the circus weighing down on his shoulders.

Misty Rose = The adopted daughter of Orange and Black, she is a bit hostile and distrustful and is usually seen crossing her arms or wearing a sweater. She was adopted off from Odd World, though Odd World has it all so there's a adoption center for rainbow creatures and human children. Misty Rose was created and then was sent to the center, also yes, Odd World has their own rainbow machine. She is also in love with Mint (A Green X Blue child), and is terrified of Purple, she prefers to keep her distance.

Opal = A decent good friend of Slate, she doesn't really do much in her life. She usually comforts Chocolate whenever Slate is done making her life even more miserable, Opal developed a parental instinct over Chocolate and this caused her and Slate had a falling out. Since then, the two meet with hostility and aggression. She was created at Odd World.

Dark Gray = Our weaponized rainbow creature, he was created at the circus and is now being used as a weapon, they are well aware of it but it learned that if they disobey, he gets locked into a cage like a animal. Dark Gray was already acting more like a animal than a actual rainbow creature. He is easily confused by pretty much anything.

Gray = He used to be Oswald and had done so much damage on the rainbow creatures, especially Red and Purple. Later on, he returned as a Gray cat rainbow creature but soon ended up fucking dying by Bittersweet.

Glowstick = Ah yes, the actual first odd world "color" that was created in odd world. They have the ability to glow in the dark or anytime, and practically can shapeshift. He used to date Violet and had a clean break up, they both just kinda fell out of love. Glowstick at the beginning had a completely different appearance except for her sabortooth like teeth, so when it was ordered to have a new appearance, things went horribly wrong, making her into a failed experiment. There are rumors she might have died but that isn't the case. They aren't dead. She does have crushes on White and Black, and doesn't really know how to act on it so they just kinda. . ."okay".

Carrot Cake = This chubby gal looks like a literal carrot cake, she has the colors of one anyway. She absolutely loves meat and practically will eat meat, chocolate and sweet rolls. She refuses to eat any cake since she says it's cannibalism. Carrot Cake can shapeshift and can practically turn into a puddle whenever she wants and act like she's "melting"

Rosewood = She is a failed experiment, based off of the Pink fanmade design that's more popular than the others. However, her arms were brutally ripped off by her creator, who is unfortunately is unknown right now. She gets along with Yellow the most, since she listens a lot. She absolutely hates scientists and can be aggressive when she wants to be. Nobody knows how she was never transferred to the odd circus despite being a failed experiment.

Yellow = Yellow was created in Odd World, having traits of a cheetah but he isn't fast as Orange, however he's the same height as Orange. Yellow used to be in a relationship with Pink, they got together while Red was gone (more like presumably dead). He has a strong hatred towards Orange and anyone with kill mode. So he despises all the rainbow friends, Pink, Slate and such. Though as much he hates Violet, he is creeped out by her silence.

Lime = This poor guy has no kill mode but when he was first created, he used to be narcissistic and sus, basically a copycat of Jayson (a scientist). Though now, Red had fixed him and now he is pretty chill and crushing on Yellow.

Turquoise = They are a demonic spirit, it's not specific of type of demonic spirit he is but he had died through the experiments. It definitely has kill mode and is forever in it. He has demon and ghost powers such as: possessing bodies and such. It's unknown of what experiment he had been killed by, they just know they died through experiments.

SkyBlue = SkyBlue is based off of some kind of sea monster, though due to this, she can't leave water since she doesn't have legs. However, it doesn't stop her from seeing her girlfriend, Peach (Pink X Yellow child)<3

Magenta 1 = This Magenta is sus as fuvk and acts a lot like Angel Dust and is sus like him, she is enemies with Purple and is practically the favorite of Jessica. She isn't presented when kids are at odd world due to the fact that she's not child friendly, however, later on she does get brutally murdered by 600 KM Red. IT will always be unknown of why Jessica adored her so much though.

Maroon = He absolutely loves the play place and is glad that Red had adopted him and Navy. He was created in Odd World and was taken to the center as well. Though he decided to leave the play place since it was his home, wanting the odd colors to adopt him. Lime, specifically, adopted him.

Navy = She was created and placed in the adoption center, she doesn't talk much but she can be protective over Maroon. She and Maroon were adopted by Red, so now their the adopted children of Red.

Coral = This poor odd color died during one of the experiments, she used to have kill mode before she died. Everyone knows her death, she went crazy and tried to bite Jessica but Vivian had "put her down" so now Coral is just a wandering ghost that never shows up a lot and when they do, it's usually to check on the odd colors to see how their doing.

Cerulean = He used to be a human, so his human life is unknown. Though despite being very emotional, he is infected by KM. Nobody knows how. He is a very forgetful creature, forgetting many things except for his emotional support hoodies. He absolutely loves wearing them. He is surprisingly aggressive whenever he's KM.

Salmon = Salmon was created in the circus, a failed experiment, but he managed to escaped through the sewers, he can easily swim through rivers, oceans, sewage, and such. He's based off of a shark but he has traits of a sea monster. So like a hybrid I guess.

That feel when you want a fandom mutual but people you reach out to are offline/inactive almost all day or for days on end. Pls I just want a JJBA/Jojo's Bizarre Adventure mutual who I can talk to regularly and not like once a day 😭. I wanna talk about my and yours OC x Canon or self-ships and just have fun. I know people are busy sometimes and I get that. I'm just in a setting where I'm alone 3/4 of the day and homebound with lots of free time on my hands 😅

Part 5 - Leone Abbachio 🐑 he'd paired with a former coworker of his named Alessandra.

Pannacotta Fugo 😡 together with a childhood friend of his that's the child of a maid at his old home (before he was cut off by his parents).

And finally, Melone 🍈 a neurochemist with a high sex drive! Beautiful in appearance with makeup on and everything, but being repeatedly called an ugly girl as a child can impact how you see yourself.

Part 7 - Johnny Joestar 🇺🇲 no OCs with him, but I absolutely adore the guy. I relate to him a lot as well.

Part 8 - Josuke Higashikata 🫧, what can I say? This boy is just precious and I love his design. No OCs with him either.

A heads up though;;; I'm not as comfortable talking with people who pair an OC of theirs with a fav of mine. Nothing against y'all, I'm just a former self-shipper and I still feel quite strongly about these characters 😅 I've just turned to the OC x canon side lmao

So Anaeini, my pen name, is basically another name for myself. So story if you’re interested, my first poem I wrote was on a butterfly, and I wanted my pen name to reflect that.

And I found a couple from which I liked Anaeini the best

1. Easy to pronounce

2. It’s a species of leaf-wing butterfly.Dead leaf like on the outer and colourful on the inside.

3. The Indian Leafwing is blue, which is my fav

Hence the name :)

I actually like my real life name, I’ve just realised, but I’ve always liked Jessica. Probably Enaca after an OC.

1. Kastle/The West Wing Crossover Every time I watch TWW, I think about Karen and Donna Moss being friends, and once I thought of a fic where during the early seasons of TWW, the President and staff go to New York and Karen is moderating one of the series of town halls they're there for (specifically one where Josh Lyman is speaking). And of course that one, because reasons I had not yet come up with, gets attacked by The Hand, and Karen, Donna and Josh (who gets injured, because Josh ALWAYS gets injured) get rescued by Frank and it basically ends with the President demanding to meet Frank to thank him for saving Josh's life and everyone is like, "Mr. President do you not understand that Frank Castle is technically a MURDERER and the Secret Service will n e v e r let you in the same room with him and it's bad enough that you're currently on the same ISLAND?" So, yeah.

Here's something I wrote for it:

“Josh, did you hear?”

“I have impeccable hearing, Donna,” Josh says without looking up from the memo in his hand. “What is it that I am supposed to have heard?”

“Carol told me that she heard from Lindsay in credentialing that Karen Page has been assigned to cover the President’s town halls in New York for the New York Bulletin!”

He waits for her to keep going, but she doesn’t so, he looks up and sees her waiting expectantly, “And?”

“Karen Page? What It Means To Be A Hero Karen Page. She’s connected to half the vigilante-superheroes in Lower Manhattan. She was held hostage by ninjas. She interviewed Tony Stark about the Sokovia Accords. Last year, The Punisher himself may or may not have held her hostage after saving her from that terrorist Lewis Wilson.”

“And?”

“And, would it be inappropriate, as a member of the White House Staff, to ask her for her autograph?”

Kastle: The Big Indulgence

This is one of the first long fics I came up with for Kastle (and come hell or high water I WILL write it one day). Basically, it puts the NMCU actually IN the MCU. Post TPS1, Sarah tracks Karen down and they become friends, and at the same time, Frank becomes friends with Bucky Barnes (yes Emily, I know he's not your fav) by way of Curtis' group (Curt, of course, regrets ever letting them interact ever). Karen gets nominated for an award for her journalism work by the Maria Stark Foundation, where she meets Pepper, Natasha, and Darcy, and befriends them as well. Everything comes to a head and Karen and Frank reunite after the discovery that Sarah Lieberman is related to one of Bucky's surviving family members (the Liebermans are Jewish, Bucky's family is Jewish, it works!). Then, things related to Billy and Hydra happen, there's an incident where a few people disappear into an alternate universe for...an... amount of time, the Avengers meet the X-Men to help get them back, and Frank may or may not be a little psychic. Someone ends up coming from that alternate universe who doesn't belong here, but it's okay because she's [redacted] and also Leo's [redacted].

Leo-Centric, Kastle

Leo gets an internship as Darcy Lewis' assistant (well, technically she's working for Jane Foster, but it's basically working for Darcy), where she meets Karen, matchmakes her with Frank, and also gets a girlfriend. I think the summary says it best:

Summer 2021.

In which Leo Lieberman gets the internship of a lifetime—working for Jane!Freaking!Foster’s soon-to-be former personal assistant, Darcy Lewis—both comes out of the closet AND gets the girl, and helps her long-lost murder-uncle finally reconcile with the ace reporter of his dreams.

If Frank was actually bulletproof, it would totally be just like Superman and Lois Lane.

5 Times Seth Tells Kate He Loves Her

A five-times fic where Seth is just ass over tea kettle in love with Kate, and makes sure she knows it and doesn't care what other people (read: Richie and Scott) think about it. The first one takes place the night they get back from Matanzas, and I just love the little bit I've written so far. I know 2 that I'm going to write so far, so...3 to go.

Kate Meets Vanessa Post S3

So I started writing this around Valentine's Day this year, and I might keep it as a Valentine's Day fic no matter what, but basically, in a grand universal coincidence, Vanessa strolls into Jed's just because she's stopping for lunch on her way to...somewhere. She meets Kate, who is covering the bar for Kalinda and Greer (a culebra OC that I will one day actually formally introduce in my fics, I promise), who are downstairs "checking on inventory" read: screwing in a maintenance closet because it's Valentine's Day, and then Seth comes out and there's a little, very awkward reunion, and basically Vanessa is the MOST amused, Seth is the MOST uncomfortable and Kate's just like...okay? And? Also, Seth is still bitter about Vanessa taking the tire iron to his car back in early S1.

The SK/Detroit 187 Fusion

Seth is a detective in Houston PD, who comes into the office one day to discover they...hired an intern? Said intern is Kate Fuller, a grad student at the University of Houston, who is working on her master's thesis by studying something related to crime (duh). Seth thinks she's a Disney princess in human form and they're very antagonistic with one another, but also he likes her way more than he thinks he should (but feels a LOT better about it when he finds out she's 23, not like...barely legal to drink or anything. Angst happens when a gang (Malvado's, but Carlos' branch of it) attacks Kate's family and kills her parents, and Seth takes her to Eddie and Richie for protection while he and his partner, Ximena, and the rest of the department solve the case and put Carlos' crew away.

SK Post 2x02 AU

After Kate and Seth part ways in 2x02, Kate goes back to Bethel, but Scott isn't there (so Jessica lives). She ends up in Houston for two years, working at a gym and keeping her to the ground looking for word about her brother, until one night, she's attacked by a bunch of Culebras, and is saved by Seth, Richie, and Kisa. She finds out that Carlos and Malvado are after her because she's the key to the way to the Blood Well, and Carlos and Malvado's henchwoman, the one and only Sonja, draws them all back to Bethel by putting Jessica in danger, and...it's all going to come to a head in some way that involves them saving Jessica from Sonja and killing Malvado and stopping the events of S3 from ever having to happen.

SK Season 1 AU

I don't know if i'm ever going to go anywhere with this, but I had this thought of...what is Carlos as Kyle wasn't a dick to Kate, and he took her to Mexico instead of Kate going back with Jacob and Scott. She ends up at the Twister before Seth and Richie do, and spends time with Kisa before she goes out to perform, and somehow it ends up with Kate going through the labyrinth with the brothers? I don't know. Something like that.

The FDTD/The Punisher Crossover That Starts Off In New York

So this is one of 2 crossovers I have for SK-meets-Kastle, but I love it. This is post 2x02, and Kate ends up in New York after not being able to find Scott back in Bethel. She ends up going to work as NM&P's assistant, and befriends Karen. To get to know one another better, Karen takes Kate to Josie's, where Kate discovers that Josie is a culebra, and Josie promises to keep Kate's secret. One day, this...guy shows up at the office, asking to talk to Karen, and Karen kicks Kate out of the office while they talk, and when she comes back, the guy is gone and Karen doesn't want to talk about it. (It's Frank, of course it's Frank). Also featuring one day where Frank is on the roof, Matt gets wind of it and goes up there to confront him about seeing Karen again and comes back with a black eye, and Kate is V confused whereas Karen is 10000000% pissed off at them both. Not long after, Kate and Karen are out one night, and they're attacked by a bunch of culebras. Frank helps intervene while Kate really is the one to save the day...and then she has to explain culebras to them. Of course, Karen saw aliens fall out of a portal above Stark Tower, so...snake vampires? Whatever. Kate calls Freddie to figure out why she was attacked and it turns out Carlos and Malvado are after her (and, later found out Karen too). Kate, Karen and Frank end up in Texas and things all come to a head at the blood well, as it does, and while Carlos shoots Kate in front of Seth, Richie, and Scott (which, BAD IDEA), Kate falls into the blood well, and when she's pulled out, she's healed. But...she also has something inside her that wants to destroy the world, and everyone has to race against time to figure out how to get Amaru out of Kate before she takes over completely and destroys them all. They figure out a way, but it has an...interesting side effect for Kate and Seth. Also, this is the one where Maggie takes one look at Freddie and Ximena and shrugs and says, "You know what? Porque no los dos?"

So yeah, there you go!

(Also, I thought about also including the Amaru isn't evil, she's just cranky and wants to go home, S3 AU, but we just talked about it yesterday, so I figured it doesn't count hahaaha.)

This is probably my favorite one I've done so far. I've always liked the villains in media much more than the hero's. Whether it be movies, TV shows, theatrical productions, or video games. Since I've never drawn my OC Saska in a suit, I decided to choose The Purple Man from Jessica Jones. I specifically chose to use a suit David Tennant wore as The Purple Man in the Netflix show of Jessica Jones.

kso, i’m going to be honest. shanley had an extremely normal and happy childhood. her parents met in high school, fell in love and were married after graduating college. her father ( theodore evans / think sandy cohen from the oc ) is an executive vice president of an insurance company while her mother ( clara evans / think kristina braverman from parenthood ) is a stay-at-home mom. born and raised in new york city. she has an older sister ( haddie evans / think prue halliwell from charmed ) who is three years older, she has an extremely close relationship with her. shanley is obsessed with family, tbh. she tells them just about everything. they had dinner together every night and talk about their days, have inside jokes, go on family vacations every summer ( before sclub summers ). overall, her parents are very loving and supportive, wanting only the best for their daughters. in high school, shanley was convinced she wasn’t like other girls *pUkeS*. she was very outgoing. like she literally made friends with anyone and everyone. a friendly face; probably the student who showed the new students around. it was rare to see shanley upset or rude to anyone unless she was defending someone. she had good grades (our shanny was v advanced), kind of a teacher’s pet but like still got her seat moved or sent to the hallway because she wouldn’t stop talking. i almost made her superlative most likely to say something stupid because like that’s her too. she was on the yearbook committee, played volleyball, and was a part of the student government. if she wasn’t at school or home, you would most likely find her with arlo, which whew. a story there. when it came to the sclub, she spent whatever free time she had left with them. encouraging all the trouble; shanley will do ANYTHING you tell her to and probably doesn’t think about it. don’t give her dumbass a dare because she will do it. sorry , i forgot what i was going to say; let’s change topics. NO i remembered, lets carry on. she’s always up for a good time. don’t hesitate to invite shan...even if you don invite her...she’ll invite herself SO. fast forward to college, shanley was accepted to loyola university and moved to chicago. how excite!!!!  kso she always knew she wanted to go away for school yanno be miss independent thats why they love her BUT college life wasn’t easy, not in the beginning at least. she was going through a breakup and lost herself for a while. became cold and detached; honestly after the break up her routine was to go to class then back to her dorm, study, cry and repeat. she was only friends with her roommates till finally they forced her to go out and deal with her heartbreak the “””normal””” college way aka getting stupid drunk. *tiktok vc* it izz what it izz. joined a sorority then dropped it because it was too culty for her. she got a part time job at insomnia cookies. slowly became high school shanley again. her spirits were especially lifted when she began student teaching. the kids made her so happy. they also proved to her that teaching was what she was meant to do. next thing ya know, four years are up and our girl has a degree in elementary education.  no one probably asked but her love life !!! like mentioned earlier shanley is single. she was convinced she was going to end up marrying arlo, maybe not right after high school like people assumed but eventually. they just connected on another level so when he ended things after their first year of college, shan was crushed. but if you’re curious, she's still got the hots for arlo. are we surprised tho? no? exactly. thanks for reading, pals. dsjkn okay i’ll add more. fine. so she hooks up with people and goes on dates but no one sticks. she doesn’t want them to stick either. she knows she had that like one great love and doubts she’ll ever feel it again so she just prefers to be on her own. she don’t need no man !!!!!!!! except for one...but mind ur business. so like what is shanley nicole evans up to now? well, her original plan was to move back home once she had graduated. but she was offered a teaching position in chicago and gladly accepted it. she figured since she loved living in chicago so much and it was at the school where she completed her student teaching; it all felt right for her to stay there. this was a fresh start for her. and she got it!! ya girl moved into a beautiful ( expensive ) apt near lake shore drive, started her own tiktok account where she randomly went viral and fell in love with all her students who she calls her kiddy beans!!

Altered Carbon - The Mouth of the River Remembers the Rock - Gen - Post season 1. Super fascinating read on Takeshi in different sleeves. I read it and then immediately had to reread it to let it all soak in.

Baccano! - 11 Reasons You'll Definitely Regret Finding Roommates on Craigslist - Isaac/Miria from the outside POV of a Buzzfeed writer. I'm cackling again just remembering it. It’s perfect.

Cowboy Bebop - So Good at Being in Trouble - Faye/Jet, Faye/OC postcanon fic. Bittersweet in all the right ways and an absolutely fantastic Faye.

Die Hard 4 - Your Answers, Please - John/Matt - I was lucky enough to read this early and friends, it is lovely from start to finish. Quality get together with that perfect "hear their voices" characterization.

John Wick - Person to Person - John/Winston - canon divergent AU and also the fic I never knew I needed in my life. An absolutely amazing Winston POV, I'm floored.

Prodigal Son - Common Interests - Dani/Malcolm - Sweet and hella fucking hot and A+++. Also encapsulates pretty much everything I love in this ship.

Prodigal Son - there's going to be a party when the wolf comes home - Gil/Malcolm - Case fic with feels, and just oh my shippy heart. My crops are watered.

The Sting - smiles were made, dear, for people like us - Henry/Johnny. Running a con and getting together and super, super satisfying. It’s so fucking good.

Murder She Wrote & Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse - Spider She Wrote - Gen - And here is the crossover I never knew I needed in my life. May takes Miles to visit her old friend Jessica. I’m still howling.

Untitled Goose Game & GBBO - To Do In Tent - there are a lot of goose crimes in this year's Yuletide, but this is one of my favs of the lot. 

What We Do in the Shadows (TV) - come back as something organic - Laszlo/Nadja - Nadja gets cursed by a witch and turned human again and I'm screaming because this fic is PERFECT and HILARIOUS. A+ voices throughout. Guillermo is chef’s kiss amazing.
