“Swan”
Charles James
c.1954
Among James’s many allusions to historical silhouettes and decoration, his Swan is the most literal. For this airier contemporary version of a heavily draped Victorian bustle dress, he deployed transparent chiffon and stiff nylon tulle, a then relatively new textile innovation. The skirt’s six layers, composed of 1,080 square feet of tulle, are combined in various colors to give it depth and luminosity. Despite its ethereal appearance, it is, at twelve pounds, the weightiest of his grand creations. The beautiful curvature of the bodice back is signature James anatomical styling designed to displace extra flesh that might ruin the graceful line.

ohh baby I am still thinking abt pillow princess reg (from this post). she was raised all prim and proper and filthy rich, the spoiled youngest daughter with an older brother right. fuck it maybe she was an actual princess. one of those random countries that still have royalty or whatever. so she leaves her family, and then somehow someway the aforementioned rosekiller murder girlfriends adopt her. and everything they do and wear and say is always SUCH a culture shock but she loves them but she’s a little horrified sometimes. like the girl is short circuiting at something as simple as seeing their unshaved armpits.
and the spaces she’s grown up in, the people she’s been around her whole life have objectified her so much that she’s never once even really considered her own pleasure. that’s not useful to anyone. she’s something to be married off and treated as a vessel of sorts. so like yes she’s been spoiled and is used to being the center of attention but not like this.
barty and evan are like “dw baby you can be a different kind of princess now. we can still find ways to spoil u” and ohhh do they!!!

Drarry post-war where Draco works in the muggle world as a puppeteer in theaters and circus. He is very popular because his performances are always great, almost magical, but he never actually uses magic.
Harry goes to one of his shows, not knowing Draco works there, because his daughter loves puppet shows. cue Harry falling in love with hot happy Draco Malfoy who built a life of his own and (probably) lives in a circus and is very good with children (Harry's daughter would probably be obsessed with him too because it runs in the family).
