I need everyone to know that speedsters are allergic to nanobots.

No, seriously. They're allergic to nanobots.

Speedsters have absolutely insane metabolisms, which means that they have an absolutely insane immune system. They don't get sick. Ever. Their immune system works at warp speed and takes out germs the second they enter their body. Call germs 'the Rogues' because they're getting tackled by super speedy blurs before they can even think about causing issues.

Okay, so they have a great immune system and don't get sick ever. What does this have to do with nanobots?

Great question! When nanobots are injected into a speedster's body their immune system sees them as a threat. Only problem? It doesn't matter how fast or efficient their immune system is, their body can't destroy a bunch of tiny metal robots.

Because their bodies can't fight off the nanobots they start to display typical cold/flu symptoms instead. Vomiting, fever, runny nose, coughing, being tired, ect. The nanobots aren't causing this reaction. Their own immune system causes this reaction. The fever is the bodies attempt to kill off the 'germs'. The vomiting, runny nose and coughing is the body's attempt to expel the 'germs'. They feel tired because their body is putting everything into fighting off the 'infection'.

In a normal person the nanobots wouldn't even be an issue because they'd be able to avoid detection. They can't avoid detection in a speedster body because their immune systems are dialled up to 500 out of 10.

As a result you get instances like this:

Just an FYI for people because this is extremely fun and versatile information. Especially because none of the speedsters are really aware of this and it doesn't kick in right away. I could totally see a situation where a mission requires nanobot injections and mid mission the speedster goes down out of nowhere. It's also great if you want to do a stereotypical sick fic or something and want to get around that pesky speedster immunity.

When do Valeria and Laswell Finally Say “I Love You”?

Valeria: It would take her a while to say it. I mean, once she’s with you, she’s already smitten, but she says “I love you” in different ways that aren’t just saying those three words. Valeria courts you with lots of gifts, that much is true, but the closest thing you’ll ever hear from her that resembles a “You have my heart, I love you more than the sun loves the moon, than the ocean loves the land” would be her spending a day with you where she isn’t spending copious amounts of money on you. But that’s not what you asked. Valeria will tell you that she loves you when you’re feeling insecure since she never says it, but on her own accord? It would likely be a year or longer into your relationship, on one of those nights where the two of you are lying in bed together, just talking about your lives, what you’ve been through and how it’s shaped you as people. Just venting your worries, voicing your appreciation for each other and how you’ve helped one another. It’s during such a night, when you’ve gone quiet for a moment, that Valeria would hold you close and tell you, in a voice softer than what you’re used to normally from her, that she loves you.

Laswell: Like Valeria, she shows her love for you through different means. While she may be a gift giver as well, she also shows you how much she loves you by doing anything you may or may not ask of her. From chores, to walking your pet, to cooking you some stew when you’re sick. Laswell doesn’t say that she loves you from the get go either, it would take her several months to a year for her to say it. But when she does, it doesn’t seem like a special moment to anyone else. You’re probably hanging up your freshly washed clothes while she’s sitting at the table, a cup of coffee in hand. Laswell would get up, give you a kiss on your cheek, and tell you that she loves you so very dearly. She was overcome with adoration for you during that moment and needed to show you that she loves you. It’s afterwards that you get a lot more I love yous from her. Not on the daily still, but they would be more common. She will always, and I mean always, accompany her I love yous with some form of affectionate gesture, regardless of whether it be a kiss to your temple, a hug from behind, or a small lovely rose she found in a flower shop. You will always be taken care of and loved.

Steve didn't know when Eddie had become such a fixture in his life.

Eddie was subtle enough to bypass the scrutiny from other people but he saw it still; the lingering touch, the longing look when Eddie thought he didn't notice, and the hopefulness on Eddie’s face when Steve finally asked him to stay the night.

Yet, Steve was afraid that he had been over his head and decided to keep silent about it. Because he was content with what he had at the moment, and greed wasn't his thing.

(Or so he told himself.)

Steve never shared it with anyone besides Robin, but he had always been on edge his entire life. Thanks to his exemplary parents, ironically, Steve was never at ease with himself even if he tried. It was stressful, for the lack of better words.

Therefore, it was understandable that Steve was ten times anxious around Eddie, whom he didn’t know what to do with.

Their friends barely knew about it but they had started out as one-night-stands. Stumble into bed together then leave at dawn and never meet again, the whole gist.

Considering Steve was good at sticking to the only rule that reminded him to not make the mistake of getting too close to his one-night-stands, he was equally surprised and terrified that he had let Eddie worm into his life so effortlessly.

Thank god Steve hadn’t fallen for him. (Yet.)

Oh, who was he kidding? After months of making love with Eddie, he was at his limit.

And so did Eddie, apparently.

It wasn’t intentional, Steve swore on Robin’s right elbow. He just wanted to rant, and since Eddie was always ready to listen to him, he didn't think twice before complaining about his overbearing parents sending him on endless blind dates.

When Steve eventually stopped and had dinner with Eddie, he should've known better than to let Eddie stew for half an hour. But it was a lesson he would have to revisit another day.

As usual, their last destination was the bed and Steve ended up being fucked senseless. He didn't know where all that frustration and aggression came from, because Eddie was oddly intense tonight. Although Steve’s brain could barely function at the moment, he was still on edge.

He didn't have a chance to ask, however, before Eddie dropped a bomb on him.

“I love you,” said Eddie. Or rather, he kept chanting over and over again as he moved inside Steve. As though he wished to burn those three words into Steve’s body forever, and carve a home for himself so Steve would never dare to leave him for anyone else.

Steve’s eyes filled with tears as he clenched around Eddie just as fiercely in silence desperation. Then, he looked up to meet those loving chocolate eyes and smiled shakily, knowing he had nothing to worry about.

"Then let's date. And we’ll do it properly this time.”

There was a pause and then they started laughing together. When Eddie kissed him silly, Steve’s world became whole again.

Me, to friend: don't you hate it when you have those days where your heart is just mad and it beats REALLY hard at random moments, even when you're just sitting there, like not FAST but really hard and it is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for no reason? Friend: you know that's not normal right??? Me: you mean that doesn't happen to you? Friend: NO, IT DOES NOT. Me: ...please hold. *five minutes later* Me: so I talked to my mother and this might in fact be a highly hereditary genetic issue that both her and my grandma and my great grandma all had, who knew??? Anyway I need to see a doctor and I might need heart medication. Friend: YA THINK?
