Ikesen Boys React to a Tattooed MC pt 4
Thank you again to @otomedad for this fantastic idea ^_^ This one has Mitsuhide, Keiji, and Ieyasu! Approx. 2600 words of tattoo and MC appreciation!
Mitsuhide
Mitsuhide’s smile was infuriating. You wipe the sweat from your forehead and stretch your aching muscles. After five hours of practice, you were tired, your hair was a tangled mess, and your clothes looked even worse. And Akechi was just standing there, grinning, not a single hair out of place.
“That was much better, little mouse. Almost passable.” His grin widens. “In another week or two, you might be able to fend off, say, a small rabbit? Perhaps a squirrel?”
You throw a sweat-damp rag at him, which he dodges easily.
Mitsuhide’s eyebrows arch. “What’s this? Another match? I could never deny my little one.”
“W-wai-ahhhh!” You hold up a hand to stop him, only for him to grab your hand and send you up and over his shoulder. He holds you there, your head flopping against his upper back, legs kicking uselessly in the air.
“Hmm. I think you’ve lost this round. You don’t seem to be able to get down.”
You seriously consider biting him, but there’s no easy spot to clamp down on. Besides, he’d probably just -
“If you bite me, I will return the favor.” You hear the laughter in his voice, and feel his breath on your leg.
“Put me down!”
Mitsuhide does laugh then, a low, wicked chuckle that sends feelings skittering through your frayed nerve endings. “I don’t think I want to, though. You’ll have to convince me.”
You struggle some more, trying to grab hold of him so you can leverage your grip to wriggle out of his. It’s impossible not to be aware of the flex of his muscle, covered by thin linen. The way he holds you, gentle, but implacable. Your pulse is racing and your face is red from more than exertion. I’m just embarrassed, you think, knowing that’s not quite true.
With some effort, you manage to grasp his clothes firmly enough to pull yourself down, but you feel the loose folds of your hakama slide away from your hips as you do. You freeze, held by the terrible image of Mitsuhide carrying a pantless you, your rear in the air, legs kicking.
“It seems my little mouse has only further ensnared herself.”
The low, smooth tone of his voice sends a little shiver over the newly bare skin of your hip, and you fancy that you can feel his hair tickling that sensitive spot. “You - I - this - this is your fault!” It’s hard to think, and you wonder if he’s distracting you on purpose. Teasing, as always.
Mitsuhide chuckles, the laugh more something you can feel than hear. “But however will you escape? Perhaps you could persuade -” He pauses, holding very still.
“Ummm. Pretty please? Put me down?” You stop squirming, hopeful this means he’s done with his current game.
Instead, he shifts his grip on you, and you feel a cool, calloused finger drag against your hip.
The unexpected touch, featherlight, sends a jolt of heat through you, and you bite back a pleased sigh. There is no way you’re letting Akechi get to you. Nope. No. You refuse to give him the satisfaction of knowing his taunting touch got to you this time. “Mitsuhide -”
“You have been marked. What is this, my naughty little mouse?”
For a moment, you have no idea what he means and then you realize. He must have glimpsed your tattoo. Your face, already hot, grows hotter still. This was something you hoped to keep to yourself. Especially given . . .
You feel his fingers catch the waist of your hakama and pull it a little further down. “Wait! Stop!”
Mitsuhide pauses, though now you can feel the cool air and his warm breath teasing your low hip. “This is no irezumi kei.” His voice has changed, the teasing replaced by strained curiosity.
“I told you I’m from the future. People have all kinds of tattoos there.” You hope he hasn’t realized what the design is. Please, please, you think, if there is any goodness in the world, he won’t see enough to -
“Little one. This is a -” His voice is so low you don’t catch the end of his sentence.
You let out a breath, realizing there’s no escaping it now. “Look. I got that a long time ago. It was supposed to be the first part of a full leg sleeve.”
He sets you down gently, his hands lingering at your sides. His eyes are molten gold, and you find it hard to look away. “May I see it?”
It is tempting to tell him no. To return some of the frustration you feel with his obtuse answers, his hot and cold behavior. But you find that you want to show him. Afterall, who else would appreciate this particular design more? You carefully tug your hakama down to display your hip and upper thigh. There, etched in bright colors is a nine-tail fox. The kitsune leaps from cloud a cloud toward a flower that looks like a cloud - or perhaps it’s a cloud that looks like a flower - and below that, the first hint of a river that was meant to tie the leg sleeve together.
Mitsuhide’s smile widens and he kneels to get a closer look.
“Go ahead,” you sigh. “Say what you’re going to say.”
His breath is warm against your skin as he leans close, his hand not quite touching. He stares into the soulful eyes of the inked kitsune, one fox to another, as if it might hold answers for him. When he looks up at you, your heart stutters in your chest. “You somehow manage to surprise me still, little one.”
You aren’t sure what to say, and honestly, you feel as if you can barely breathe much less speak. It’s not just Mitsuhide’s closeness, or even your vulnerability in this position. It is the expression that haunts his eyes, a flicker of something hopeful, something raw beneath his usual smiling mask.
“Why did you choose this? This . . . unworthy trickster?” His voice is almost inaudible, as if he too is having trouble breathing.
“Unworthy?” Your eyes go wide. “Kitsune are wise. Tricksters, yeah, but that just means they didn’t lose their sense of humor. They are noble and cunning and they pursue knowledge, even when it’s forbidden, and - and I wanted to be all those things too.” You fall silent, wondering why his comment upset you so much.
Mitsuhide stares at you, his brows arched high, his lips parted. Then he laughs, a paper thin, breathy sound that rises to a low chuckle. “Truly you are something . . . else.” He stands gracefully, his gaze still on your face.
“You too,” you mutter and turn away, busying your hands with fixing your clothes. It isn’t fair how he always tangles your feelings, you think. Looking at you like that, his voice, his eyes, his touch.
“Your tattoo is lovely. As lovely as you are.” He brushes a hand down your arm, a tender gesture.
You freeze, butterflies filling your chest. His compliment means so much to you, but you don’t know what to say in return. Your throat feels parched and tight. After a shaky breath, you look up, determined to ask him why he teases you so, but he is already moving away, his back to you, the moment gone.
Keiji
“Sometimes I don’t know why I bother,” you murmur to yourself. The subject and cause of your annoyance crouches a few steps away, all but ignoring you, his gaze turned toward the street just beyond the mouth of this narrow alley. You think you might prefer his silence to his commentary.
He turns his head slightly to regard you, and you have the uncanny sense that he heard your whispered complaint. Chagrined, you offer him an apologetic smile, which earns you an eyeroll and a smirk.
You do your best to ignore his reaction, but you can’t help the flush of embarrassment in your cheeks, or the way his regard makes your pulse pound.
A few short minutes later, he gestures you forward as he steps out into the clear street ahead. You follow, a nervous energy in your steps. In fact, you are so nervous that your feet tangle mid-step.
Keiji catches you before you hit the ground, his warm arms pulling you up in an unexpected embrace. “Careful,” he admonishes you sharply, but you see the genuine concern in his gaze.
“Thanks.” You pull away, self conscious and even more embarrassed now. At this rate, Keiji will never ask you along to anymore of his clandestine missions. You try not to meet his gaze again as you straighten your clothes.
He reaches out, grabbing your hand before you manage to tug your sleeve back into place. “Is that - are you - princess . . .” The sharpness in his tone melts into surprise as he pulls your sleeve back up.
“Ehehe, umm . . . it’s a tattoo?” The inked lines of three noh masks stare back at the two of you. “I did costuming for theater and I, I liked these designs.” You end on a defiant note, practically daring Keiji to say something snarky.
Surprisingly, he says nothing, just strokes your marked skin with the rough pad of his thumb. The touch sends a pleasant shiver through you, which you hope he doesn’t notice.
“So . . . can I have my arm back,” you venture after a few awkward moments.
Keiji nods, but doesn’t let go of you. “Do you know what these mean?” His voice sounds distant, soft and surprisingly tender.
You nod. “I . . . yes.” Your gaze follows his thumb to the three faces. I got Zō because I feel like she represents the best in women. Divinity and beauty. Wisdom. And then, Namanari because hell hath no fury, right? Holding onto anger makes me a demon. So she’s kind of a warning for me to let it go, but also, like, a reminder that it’s ok to be angry too.”
“And Rōjo?” He looks up, his warm amber eyes meeting yours.
“To remind me that getting older is ok too.” You shrug uncomfortably, feeling oddly exposed by the confession.
Keiji studies you, tension in his shoulders and jaw. “It’s nice. Your tattoo.”
Your eyes widen a little at the compliment. “You know you don’t have to fake things around me,” you tell him, half hoping he means it and half sure he doesn’t.
“I said I like it, ok? It’s pretty.” He frowns, a little crease forming between his eyebrows.
For some reason, the all too familiar expression of disapproval combined with the kind words sends little butterflies spinning through your tummy, and makes your heart do a funny little flip in your chest. He has no right to look so cute, you think. Or to say such nice things while his thumb makes little circles on the inner side of your arm. “Th-thanks.”
One eyebrow lifts slightly along with the corners of his lips. “You’re blushing.”
You jerk your arm away, trying to get ahold of your galloping heart. “I am not!”
He laughs, a sound free of nega-Keiji’s bitterness, one full of a sudden, intoxicating joy.
This does nothing to help you rein in your reaction, but you find yourself joining in the laughter with him. “Come on, let’s just go meet your contacts,” you say through your giggles.
“Yeah. That’s right.” He smiles and you feel another flush of heat in your cheeks. One that only grows as he reaches for your hand.
Ieyasu
“Hold still.” Ieyasu’s crisp tone brooks no disobedience.
You stop squirming and take a deep breath. “Sorry,” you mumble. “It just hurts.”
A faint smile curls the edges of his mouth. “Yes, well, tumbling down a gravel path usually does. You should be more careful. At this rate, I’ll have to accompany you everywhere just to ensure you don’t hurt yourself.”
You feel a goofy happiness at the gentle expression on his face as he says it, though his tone stays sharp. “I’m not that clumsy,” you argue. “I don’t need babysitting.”
“The evidence leaves that very much in doubt.” Ieyasu tugs your kimono aside, revealing your hip and thigh. There is an angry red patch of skin where the gravel scraped you badly, and his eyes flick over the wound with concern. Then his gaze travels up and you notice his brows rise.
“What? What is it?” You start to move again and stop as he rests a hand on you.
Ieyasu frowns, his fingertip tapping just above your injury. “You have a mark. Like a painting but -” He drags his finger over the ink of your tattoo.
“Oh, that.” You laugh self-consciously. You hadn’t been thinking about the tattoo at all - especially not after your spectacularly embarrassing accident that morning. Tripping over a rock and sliding halfway down a gravel and sand path while out walking with Hideyoshi. And to make matters worse, he’d insisted on carrying you to see Ieyasu for treatment. Thankfully, he hadn’t stayed. You could easily imagine his disapproving expression. Probably more so than the face Ieyasu was making now.
“Yes. That.” He leaned closer to your leg, studying the colorful image there. “It looks like an octopus. Holding a flower?” Ieyasu’s voice has lost some it’s usual coldness, thawing to an unexpected warmth with curiosity.
You feel another little flutter in your chest and tell yourself to calm down. “It’s supposed to be Akkorokamui holding an anemone. I got it after my parents passed away.” The memory of your intense grief is enough to make you pause. It’s been so many years since you lost them, but it still hurts. A dull, distant ache you don’t notice most of the time. Only on those lonely, long nights when there is nothing to distract you.
Ieyasu looks up, concern in his wide green eyes. “You don’t need to tell me if it’s too much.”
“No, it’s ok. I can talk about it. That was several years ago and I - I’m alright now.” You give him what you hope is a reassuring smile. “I read that the octopus was a symbol for adaptability. And that Akkorokamui meant healing and wisdom. So . . . I got it as a tattoo, so I would never forget I can handle everything life throws my way. That I will always heal, in time.”
His warm palm strokes your thigh, a gentle touch meant to be calming. The effect on you is less than, sending your pulse skyrocketing. “I see.” He continues the tender caress, though his brows furrow. “But why is it holding a flower?”
“Fragility and strength. Because I’m fragile but I want to be strong.” You take a breath, trying to calm your heart and settle the ache in your soul. Surprisingly, your grief already feels less, as if Ieyasu’s closeness has chased it away.
He nods, looking back down with his thoughtful expression. “I think it’s nice.”
You can’t miss the flush of red in his cheeks, or his sudden shyness as he pulls his hand away.
“Too bad such a pretty picture can’t stop you from being a danger to yourself. But I don’t think this will leave a scar on your lov- er, your skin.” Ieyasu’s coldness returns in full force, his eyes as hard as jade.
“Do you really think it’s pretty? I like it but -”
“Of course it is,” he snaps back, already pulling out a tincture to clean your wound.
You bite your lip at the sting, eyes watering a little.
Ieyasu sighs, his shoulders losing some of their tension. “Sorry. I should have warned you. This will hurt a little.”
“It’s fine. I’m just glad you like me - ah - my tattoo.”
His eyes widen at your slip in speech, his mouth open. The red in his cheeks spreads to his ears, and something in his gaze wavers. “Well. Even I can admit when someone-thing- is pretty. I’m not blind.”
You feel a giggle rising up and clamp down. Laughing now would not be a good thing. “Thanks.”
“Sure,” he mutters, turning away. You can still see the red tips of his ears.

Warlords in a Snowball Fight
A general winter themed flash headcanon, as a gift for the Flash Exchange. @flash-exchange
Headcanon: Warlords in a Snowball Fight
In Azuchi…
Nobunaga – Strides through the field of battle, easily packing the snow into efficient weapons. Cooly confident that nobody would dare...  Splat!
Masamune – A snow battle? Bring it on! Runs wildly into action, skidding to a drift, quickly forms lopsided snowballs, and throws them with surprisingly good aim, especially given his blind side. Which… by the way… Splat!
Hideyoshi –  Sets out a list of rules, including, no ice in the middle of your snowball, no throwing snowballs inside the castle, absolutely no running! In the midst of announcing the rules… Splat!
Ieyasu –  Splat! He goes home and locks himself in his panic room with his emotional support sourdough starter.
Mitsunari – An army is made and broken by its organization. Carefully stockpiles snowballs at strategic points throughout Azuchi. Then gets distracted by a new book and forgets to join in the battle.
Ranmaru – Finds Mitsunari’s useful stacks of snowballs, and climbs to the roof, where he systematically picks everyone off, sniper style. Splat!
Keiji – Stands in the center of the field of play, grabbing the closest snow at hand, and throwing it randomly. He’s a dervish. Then he opens his arms wide and yodels, “Who wants to take on the wild child of these war-torn islands, he whose name is sung far and wide, the roguish misfit, Keiji Maeda?”  Splat! Splat! Splat!
Mitsuhide – Excels at sneaking from hiding spot to hiding spot, surprising victims by popping up out of nowhere and disappearing before they can retaliate. Is also the reason Ieyasu is hiding.
At Kasugayama… things are slightly more dangerous
Kenshin – Instead of snowballs, hurls icicles like spears.
Kanetsugu –  When people complain about flying icicles, tells them they should be honored to receive such attention from the God of War.
Shingen – Organizes Yukimura and Yoshimoto into a team and carefully strategizes the best times and places to attack. Has also built a working snow catapult. In spite of all that, he ends up strangely covered in snow, because, let’s face it, the man looks great in a wet kimono. And out of one.
Yukimura – Is an athletic and efficient snowball thrower, very good on the front lines in an all-out battle, but not terribly good at sneak attacks.
Yoshimoto – Is every snowflake truly different? Let’s find out? He wanders out into the garden. Is not seen until spring.
Sasuke – After getting hit by one too many icicles, packs his snowballs with ground spikes and sets off smoke bombs to escape.
Lone Forces…
Kennyo –  Tricks Azuchi and Kasugayama into fighting each other, then goes off and feeds hungry forest creatures.
Motonari – Snow? Snow doesn’t burn. Hell has frozen over. Sets sail for more tropical climates at the first sign of a flake.
Kicho – Sets off an avalanche.

I had been waiting all month for Keiji's birthday, only to realize I had already missed it.
By WEEKS.🥲
Still though, wanted to celebrate the birth of one of my top tier loves, so, here is modern day Kei-os with his feet propped up on CEO Nobunaga's desk...
because of course Keiji isn't the type to have a desk.😅 I imagine him to be something like a little brother to Nobunaga, which would make it usual for him to drop by unannounced and, with his onichan still stuck in a meeting, be brave enough to lounge around the office with his boba drink.
ANYWAY, I'm weeks late, but happy, happy, happy birthday dearest Keiji!🧡🧡🧡 i hope you had a blast and that everyone celebrated you well.🥳🥳🥳
Tumblr media
LOL! Cue Hideyoshi, the CEO's right hand man!🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Why does it have to be him?
He was already a love rival in Hideyoshi's route. And it was so sad and painful… I think one of the reasons I don't reread Hideyoshi's route is because I don't wanna go through it again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, Mai used to be called Ichiko…. What can I say… at the time of choosing her name, I only knew that name)
And now again in the Kicho's route!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are merciless!
I expect it to be Motonari. They're at least somewhere nearby. But why Mitsu?
Do you think it's funny to make relatives fight over a girl? Literally shooting at each other? Do you think it's funny to make this perfect man suffer? I don't think so! Yes, I was very happy to have the opportunity to see him more often than usual, but not at that cost! Mutsu, honey, I love you! And despite how sweet and wonderful your cousin is, I still prefer you!
Now that I think about it… Ieyasu was a love rival in the Masamune AND Keiji routes… So this is not something uncommon…

Hi! Can I have a request please in which MC decides to have le Warlords try the "Period Cramp Simulator"? Just imagine them boasting that they'll be fine, only for them to kneel over in pain. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Again, Anon, I am sorry for taking so long. Hopefully my schedule should clear up soon…? But here is your request!
Oh, this is a fun request. But it involved some serious thinks… these warlords are pretty stoic. In my memory they’ve been shot (arrows and bullets) beaten up, fallen (or jumped) off cliffs, stabbed in battle, stabbed daily by Kenshin and defied a terminal illness without complaint….
So, really, are they going to be defeated by a period simulator? Are they? Let's see....
Upon hearing of such a device there is a great argument over who would be able to last the longest. And so a contest is proposed….
Contest Rules:
One: Mai is not allowed to watch as all agree that none of them will admit to pain in her presence. (She hides in the ceiling and watches anyway).
Two: Yelling, yelping, screaming are grounds for elimation.
Three: Sasuke runs the experiment and controls the simulator. He is the judge as to whether or not a warlord has been eliminated. Why Sasuke? First, because they all trust him enough to run the device equally and not cheating for your lord, Hideyoshi and Kanetsugu. Second, because he is a sensitive new age guy and freely admits that period cramps hurt (he secretly tested the stimulator on himself when he was alone and tapped out at level eight).
Let the games begin! Sasuke places the simulator patches on everyone, and from a master switch, turns the device on so that everyone hits level one simultaneously.
Level One:
All warlords are fine. Ranmaru earns the wrath of the room by noting that it “kind of tickles.”
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Two:
Such serious faces. Everyone is concentrating.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Three:
There are a few deep breaths happening now, but nothing that could be defined as yelling, yelping, or screaming.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Four:
Sasuke walks around the room for a long, slow time, looking at everyone’s faces, until Kenshin tells him to get on with things and start making it hurt. When is the pain going to start? Kanetsugu chimes in, telling Sasuke to move things along, so that Kenshin can have his pain. There are quiet whispers of, ‘yes, hurry, let’s move it along,” and a lot of internal, “let’s get this over with now, kthxbye” thoughts.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Five:
Kicho accuses Nobunaga of wincing. Motonari is quick to agree that Nobunaga winced. Hideyoshi defends Nobunaga, says that he would never wince, it was just a natural blink. After a short discussion, it is decided that Nobunaga did not wince, and further accusations of wincing, or yelling, or thereof will be cause for forfeit.
Nobunaga silently admits to himself that he quite possibly winced, but now that he knows what to expect, he is prepared for the next wave of … oh shit.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Six:
Ranmaru, Keiji and Yoshimoto incur a forfeit by accusing each other of wincing. They escape the room. The fourteen remaining warlords quickly look around, but no other accusations are made.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Seven:
There is a lot of visible sweat, careful breathing, and gritted teeth happening. Internally, there is a lot of very creative swearing, using words in combination rarely spoken out loud.
Kennyo puts himself into a meditative state. Masamune wonders if that would be considered cheating, but Kennyo points out that he’s not preventing anyone else from meditating, he’s just using the skills he has.  No one is willing to discuss the matter further, and Shingen notes that Kennyo is correct, and can they please keep going.
Privately, Shingen vows to give every one of his female spies three days off a month, and a pay raise.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Eight:
Sasuke looks at every face and pauses at Ieyasu’s for a long time. Ieyasu says that while he is not bothered by the cramp simulator, Sasuke is making him very uncomfortable. Sasuke replies that he’s impressed by Ieyasu’s stoicism and by the way when this is over, can he have Ieyasu’s autograph. Ieyasu rips the simulator off and stomps out, deciding that while he can endure the pain, he can’t deal with Sasuke.
Ieyasu goes home and hugs his emotional support sourdough starter for the rest of the day.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Nine:
Kanetsugu looks over at Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi…. “Are you two holding hands?!” Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi look down at their joined hands and instantly let go of each other. “No!” they both yelp.
Some time is lost while it is debated whether or not that counts as period simulator yelping, and after everyone votes (voting signified by slow careful hand raises), they are both allowed to continue in the competition.
Yukimura curls himself into a silent, fetal ball – but he does not yelp or yell, so Sasuke is inclined to let him continue.
Sasuke bumps the intensity to Level Ten:
The warlords sit in silent agony.
Time ticks onward.
Slowly.
No one taps out.
Everyone stares at each other’s faces.
“Perhaps we can consider this a tie,” Shingen suggests.
There is immediate universal assent from the rest of the room, and Sasuke agrees. “Take off your simulators.”
Twelve warlords quickly – but nonchalantly – remove their devices. Then Masamune notices… “Mitsunari, lad, you can take the device off now.”  Hideyoshi rushes over to his vassal, worried that perhaps the young man has passed out.
Mitsunari looks up from the book he has been reading. “I’m sorry, did you say something? He gazes around the room. “Oh, are we starting the contest now? Go ahead, Master Sasuke, I’m ready.”
Mitsunari declared the winner.
There will be a celebratory banquet for him…. next week… when everyone else has recovered.

I said I was gonna put together that Unrequited/Love Rival list for IkeSen and by the gods I am going to put it together! Shout out to @babyblue0t7 for reminding me (and sharing some info too) that I had made a post with the goal and intent to put together said list but got distracted by a multitude of things;;;; (and poor memory;;)
Also thank you to the Ikemen Discord server crew that I'm a part of, especially @sevenai & @veervers on said server, I appreciate the assist in helping me figure out who was who in these routes!
Everything will be under a read more and this originally started as me wanting to sate my curiosity over it. Reblogs for this is GREATLY appreciated over the likes as it'll help spread it as well as help anyone else who wants to sate their curiosity.
Bear in mind that, this list is going to be missing a few things and doesn't really fully contain anything involving the sequels & routes that have been released for the JP servers, the only sequel and unreleased route to EN will be tagged as such. My goal is to get mostly the main routes listed, and the sequel ones can be added onto the post or added in at a later date.
So the only "spoiler" is going to be crossed out, but from what was shared, that is in fact the rival.
Sasuke (Rival) -> Yukimura (Main)
Yukimura (Rival) -> Sasuke (Main)
Kennyo (Rival) -> Mitsunari (Main)
Yoshimoto (Rival) -> Mitsuhide (Main)
Mitsunari (Rival) -> Kenshin (Main)
Hideyoshi (Rival) -> Nobunaga (Main)
Nobunaga (Rival) -> Shingen (Main)
Ranmaru (Rival) -> Kennyo (Main)
Ranmaru (Rival) -> Yoshimoto (Main)
Kicho (Rival) -> Motonari (Main)
Kicho (Rival) -> Ieyasu (Sequel)
Kenshin (Rival) -> Ieyasu (Main)
Kenshin (Rival) -> Kanetsugu (Main)
Mitsuhide (Rival) -> Hideyoshi (Main)
Mitsuhide (Rival) -> Kicho (Main)
Ieyasu (Rival) -> Keiji (Main)
Ieyasu (Rival) -> Masamune (Main)
Right now we only have 5 suitors who have been listed in more than one route as a rival, though the current consensus we've managed to sus out is that well... Masamune hasn't been listed as a rival to anyone yet, as well as Kanetsugu (That I and the listed peeps aren't aware of yet, as some of us have yet to do some sequel routes).
However as I previously said, this isn't a 100% completed list as we still have more sequels to be released on top of one more route to be released via JP server.

Kicho's Main Story Chapter 1 Part 1
I didn't proofread this one, so expect a LOT of mistakes.
Translation under the cut.
Tumblr media
(What the hell is going on?)
The future changed, and the travel guide turned completely blank.
Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind as I noticed these changes.
(Wait a sec, how is that even possible?)
(Because three months ago, when I came here, nothing like this ever happened.)
Three months ago, I was transported back to the Sengoku era and saved Nobunaga at the burning Honnoji Temple.
Tumblr media
Because of this, I had to live in Azuchi Castle as a symbol of Japan's unification and as the chatelaine of the Oda forces.
(Nobunaga died as a result of the Honnoji Incident.)
(I'm not familiar with history, but I remember hearing this story in class.)
(Still, I don't think changing that history would've made the pages go blank like this.)
I took my eyes off the travel guide and looked up at Azuchi Castle again.
Seeing the once magnificent Tenshu burnt to a crisp made me feel like something worse than this was about to happen.
(It's the same as back then.)
(I feel like I should do something, but I don't know what I should do.)
Two weeks ago
Mitsunari: "You're here, Lady Mai."
Mai: "Mitsunari."
I turned around, still holding my book, hearing his voice calling from behind me.
Mitsunari: "Are you working? I'm sorry for stopping you."
Mai: "No. I'm just going to put this back in the library."
(As always, you're so caring, Mitsunari.)
Back when I decided to become a chatelaine, it was Mitsunari who immediately helped me.
He not only gave me the information I needed but also helped me when I had problems in my daily life.
(Thanks to him, I'm now used to living in this war-torn country.)
(I'm so grateful because there was a lot I didn't understand.)
Tumblr media
Mitsunari: "Library? Thank you for always being there for us."
Mitsunari: "I've found it especially tidy and easy to spend time in there recently."
Mai: "I'm glad to hear that."
(I didn't do much, but I'm glad he's happy.)
(Even though things were going crazy, I'm grateful they let me live here.)
(I need to do what I can to help, even if it's just a little.)
Mai: "Oh, by the way, what did you want to see me about?"
Mitsunari: "Oh, right. Everyone has been asking for you."
Mai: "Everyone?"
Mitsunari's lighthearted words made me nod my head.
Masamune: "Mai, we've been looking for you."
Ieyasu: "We couldn't find you, so we thought you got lost again."
Mai: "Masamune, Ieyasu!"
They walked toward us from the other side of the hallway.
Mitsunari: "Don't worry. Lady Mai already knows everything in the castle."
Mitsunari: "Right?"
Mai: "Not everything, but I've memorized most of the places."
Masamune: "I see. Well, you've been here for quite a while."
Tumblr media
Ieyasu: "Quite a while? I think it's only been a couple of months."
Masamune: "For her, it's probably been a long time."
As if asking me for my agreement, his deep blue eye turns toward me.
(I see. It's been more than two months since I came here.)
Mai: "Hmm. It seemed like a long time, but it happened so fast."
Ieyasu: "So, which is it?"
Mai: "I wonder which one it is?"
Ieyasu: "*sigh* Don't ask me."
Masamune: "Well, let's put that aside for now. Let's go back to my palace."
Mai: "Is there something going on?"
Masamune: "Yup. I got some good vegetables, so I thought I'd let you try some."
Masamune: "I made it into a stew. It's pretty good."
Mai: "Vegetable stew!?"
Ieyasu: "Then, let's stop by my place first."
Ieyasu: "You said the other day your wrist hurts, so I have some medicine that will help you."
Masamune: "Heh? So you went to pick medicinal herbs the other day.”
Ieyasu: "Not really. I just happened to have some leftovers and thought I'd share them with her."
Mai: "You guys..."
One thing I've learned since coming to this castle is not only how kind Mitsunari is.
I also learned that Masamune is easy to talk to, and the food he cooks is exquisite. Ieyasu, although aloof at first, is kind and gentle deep down.
(I wish I could go with them, but一)
Mai: "Um, I got some errands to run later."
Mai: "Your feelings are highly appreciated, though."
Masamune: "Really? Well, I'll feed you next time I find something good."
Ieyasu: "And the medicine, too. Come and get it whenever you feel like it."
Tumblr media
Mai: "Okay! Thank you!"
Holding the book in my arms, I bowed my head and quickly walked away.
(I want to, but I can't. I can't let myself get too involved.)
Tumblr media
Ieyasu sighed as Mai turned down the hallway and was out of sight.
Ieyasu: "There she goes again."
Mitsunari: "Maybe she's still being cautious."
Masamune: "Back when she first came to the castle, she always got lost."
Masamune: "Heck, she didn't even know how to properly wear a kimono."
Mitsunari: "Yes, it did appear that way."
Mitsunari: "When I first met her at Honnoji, she was wearing unusual clothes, so maybe she's from a different country."
Masamune: "You mean she's a foreigner? If so, where did she come from?"
Mitsunari: "No idea. Maybe she said those strange things because she was scared of the fire."
Mitsunari: "Perhaps her memory is a little hazy."
Ieyasu: "..............."
Mitsunari: "Well, it's only been two months. Let's help her get used to it slowly from now on."
Masamune: "You're right."
[Mitsuhide is watching from a distance.]
Mitsuhide: "I see."
Mitsuhide: "Mai, huh?"
Tumblr media
(Let's see, I should go to the place marked with these glasses.)
After parting with everyone, I put away the books and went down the castle, holding a small note in my hand and carefully counting the number of paths I passed so I wouldn't get lost.
(I'm not really familiar with this place. I mean, yeah. I sometimes come here to do some shopping, but I'm always with someone else.)
Unlike inside the castle, the probability of running into someone who might know me here was slim.
That was why I avoided walking alone like this to avoid getting lost.
(But not today. Because一)
Tumblr media
Sasuke: "Hi, Mai."
Mai: "Sasuke! Long time no see!"
Sasuke: "Sorry for calling you out so suddenly."
Mai: "No, it's okay. Thanks for calling. What's up?"
Sasuke: "Let's go somewhere a little quieter."
Sasuke: "There's a teahouse nearby. If you don't mind, why don't we go there?"
Mai: "Sure!"
Tumblr media
Sasuke: "Here you go. Want the one with the red bean paste on it?"
Mai: "Sure. Thanks."
Sasuke gave me a teacup and a plate with dangos on it.
(Wow, it's been a long time since I've had this.)
(It looks so yummy.)
Sasuke: "You must really love it."
Mai: "Huh?"
Sasuke: "The dango. Your eyes are sparkling."
Mai: "Really? It's been a while since I ate something sweet."
Mai: "I never imagined I would be eating in a teahouse in the Sengoku era with my friend."
Sasuke: "So this is your first time? That's surprising."
Mai: "Is it?"
------------Flashback------------
Sasuke: "One more thing, don't get deeply involved with the people of this time."
Mai: "What do you mean by getting deeply involved?"
Sasuke: "That is to say, don't fall in love. It might cloud your desire to return to the future."
Mai: "Love!? Nope! There is no way of that happening."
Sasuke: "I hope so."
---------Flashback Ends---------
(Yeah, there's no way I'll fall in love.)
(Though, after living in the castle and interacting with everyone, my impression of them has changed drastically.)
Tumblr media
(Everyone here is fighting and risking their lives for the sake of Japan.)
(Without them, the Japan we know in the future wouldn't exist.)
I realized that my fear had completely disappeared, which is why I needed to keep my distance.
Mai: "I'm not from this era, so doing something like that is irresponsible, and I can't get too deep into people I'll never see again."
Sasuke: "I see."
(One more month to go. If I can get over that, I can go back to my old life.)
(Also, there's my dream to work as a designer.)
I put my mind to it and took a bite of the dango.
Mai: "Wow, yummy! Hey, want some?"
Sasuke: "Mai."
He turned toward me with a slightly strained look on his face, and even through his glasses, I could see the puzzled look in his eyes.
(I wonder why. I have a bad feeling about this.)
Sasuke: "I need you to calm down and listen."
Sasuke: "There's a chance we might not make it back to the future."
Tumblr media
Mai: *pant* *pant*
After parting with Sasuke, I ran as fast as I could down the road to the castle, and as soon as I entered my room, I sat down slumped on the floor.
(How is this possible?)
(I can't believe the wormhole suddenly disappeared.)
Sasuke's explanation was quite simple. The wormhole we thought would appear in three months had been acting strangely for some time.
And last night, it seemed to have completely deviated from the data on which it was based.
Now he doesn't know when or where it will appear or even if it will appear in the first place.
I can't get Sasuke's pained voice out of my head as he apologizes repeatedly.
(It's not Sasuke's fault.)
(Now that this happened, I need to find what I can do and take action.)
(But一)
I was supposed to become a designer for a small fashion brand in the future, but in this turbulent world, I am a nobody, despite my given titles of princess and chatelaine.
(What can I do?)
I sighed as sweat ran down my face.
???: "Mai, are you in there?"
Mai: "----!"
(This voice一)
Tumblr media
I got up and opened the door to find Hideyoshi standing there, smiling.
Hideyoshi: "Sorry to interrupt. I came here to talk to you."
Mai: "Talk?"
Hideyoshi asked me to help out the seamstresses in the castle.
Feeling as if I was being offered a helping hand, I nodded in agreement.
Because of this, I had to accompany them on shopping trips to distant places as part of my work.
It was during this time I received the news of the attack on Azuchi Castle.
(Maybe the disappearance of the wormhole was a sign of this.)
(What's going to happen to this country if the future that was supposed to happen disappears even after saving Nobunaga's life?)
Mitsuhide: "Mai."
Mai: "Waah!"
(Where did you come from!?)
I hurriedly closed the guidebook and immediately saw him.
Mitsuhide: "What's that?"
Mai: "Um, I got this book while shopping. I thought it might come in handy."
Mitsuhide: "Oh? You're quite dedicated to your work."
Mitsuhide: "I'd let you read it, but the castle is not a suitable place for that right now."
Mai: "Okay. Um, you all are safe, right?"
Mitsuhide: "Yes."
(Thank goodness.)
Though I knew about it from the news, it was still a relief to hear it from him directly.
Mitsuhide: "But this is just the beginning."
Tumblr media
Mitsuhide: "By the hand of that man, Japan is about to change again."
(Huh?)
Mai: "That man?"
Mitsuhide: "Are you curious?"
Mai: "Well, yeah. You're talking about the perpetrator, right?"
Mitsuhide: "Yes."
Mitsuhide: "Kicho."
Mitsuhide: "That's the name of the man who destroyed Tenshu and ignited sparks in this turbulent world."
Tumblr media
Nobunaga: "Mai, you're back."
Mai: "Yes. Long time no see."
Nobunaga: "I didn't expect you to volunteer to attend a military council."
Mai: "I've been thinking about a lot of things. Please let me hear at least what you have to say."
I bowed my head deeply, and the air in the hall grew heavy, causing me to move awkwardly.
(I've only attended a few meetings, but today's tension is even worse than usual.)
(That's how serious the situation is.)
The military councils that had been held over the past three months were mainly about skirmishes that were taking place in various places.
As the chatelaine, I was occasionally called in to share information, but the talks were full of unfamiliar names of places, which made me feel like an outsider.
(I'm not from here.)
(Until now, I've been a bystander, but that's no longer the case.)
Tumblr media
???: "Heh? So you're the rumored princess?"
???: "Mai, right? You have very nice eyes."
Mai: "Thank you."
(He suddenly praised me!)
Keiji: "I'm Keiji Maeda. The most eccentric guy in the Oda army."
Keiji: "Don't be shy. Feel free to call me Keiji."
Mai: "Okay. Nice to meet you, Keiji."
Keiji: "Yeah. Now that I've said my name, this guy is next."
???: "Whoa!"
Keiji's large hand slapped the back of the young man next to him.
The young man turned his large eyes toward us, his soft hair swinging along with his hair accessory.
Ranmaru: "I'm Ranmaru Mori. Lord Nobunaga's page."
Ranmaru: "I prefer it if you could talk to me less formally, just like Lord Keiji."
Mai: "Then I'll call you Ranmaru."
Ranmaru: "Hehe, okay."
(Keiji has a friendly smile, and Ranmaru has an idol-like smile.)
(I guess I was so nervous that I didn't notice the two of them.)
Mitsuhide: "They've both been away from the castle for a while."
Mitsuhide: "Keiji returned after getting information that there was going to be an attack, and Ranmaru returned after seeing the attack."
Tumblr media
Masamune: "It's pretty impressive that he went undercover at the mastermind's place."
Mai: "So that means Keiji was with Kicho!?"
(That's so bold of him!)
Nobunaga: "You know Kicho?"
Mai: "Yes. Mitsuhide just told me earlier, but do you know him too?"
Ieyasu: "Of course. He was originally a member of the Oda army."
Mai: "What!?"
Hideyoshi: "We were friends who wanted to accomplish unification."
Hideyoshi: "He disappeared three years ago and has been missing ever since, but I never thought he would rebel."
Hideyoshi gripped his fist tightly as his expression contorted一a mixture of anger and sadness.
Nobunaga: "We can't let him do what he wants any longer."
Nobunaga: "But he is a tricky man. We need to know his moves as soon as possible to take countermeasures."
Mai: "That's why Keiji came back, right?"
Mitsuhide: "Mai. Do you think we dared him to attack the Tenshu of this castle?"
Mitsuhide: "Do you think we allowed the enemy to get close enough for the iron ball to reach?"
Mai: "No. But that means..."
Mitsunari: "That's the unknown threat."
Mitsunari: "Even if you check every possible book in the library at Azuchi Castle, you won't find that big cannon."
Masamune: "That's why we need information."
Tumblr media
Ieyasu: "But it won't be easy."
Ieyasu: "We've already located him, but he knows the faces and names of our soldiers."
(I see. That's why the Oda army is at a disadvantage.)
(Kicho is their former comrade, and he is acquainted with all of them.)
Mai: "Oh..."
Mitsuhide: "What's wrong?"
Mai: "He never met me before."
The words that slipped out of my mouth caught everyone's attention.
(What should I do? I feel like I said something really unnecessary!)
(But I'm the one who decided not to be a bystander.)
(For that reason, I have to make sense of my being here.)
Mai: "I'll go. No, let me go!"
At that time, I still didn't know the horrors of the battlefield that I had yet to see, the sorrow carried by a justice that would shake Japan, and the life-shaking moments of falling in love.
Tumblr media
Kicho's subordinate: "Lord Kicho, excuse me."
Tumblr media
Kicho: "Yeah."

I have serious Kicho Dramatic route hangover. It's so good, y'all. My brain says I want to read the rest of the routes though, not just play Kicho's route over and over again. Whose route is best to get over route hangover?
Thank you!
