enha tacoma pcd……..
MANNNNNNN what an eventful week it’s been! I had LOADS of fun at the enha concert and made tons of new friends. My outfit was inspired by 231117 heeseung. the iconic denim cowboy fit constantly lives in my mind rent free and I think about it once a day. I had a pink bikini top on underneath and a pretty butterfly necklace cuz I wanted to add a pink n’ girly twist to it 🥰 unfortunately I had to keep it buttoned up most of the time because it was FUCKING COOOOLLLLDDDD my god….
also……... I met this REEEAALLLLYYY GORGEOUS butch girl in line. I felt so blessed that day. gosh. I even got her discord yall!!!!!😌💅🏼 she was so cute and her outfit was inspired by bite me 🤤 tried soooooo hard not to drool when i looked at her 🥵 good lawd what a WOMAN! luckily I’ll be meeting her again for txt in a couple weeks!!!😚
I had two posters - one that said “i 💗 heeriah leerey” and the second that said “welcome back jay”. they were both made with glow in the dark glue. unfortunately I ruined my jay one cuz I realized it wasn’t fully dried 😭 WELP! did I still hold it up tho? u bet I did.
speaking of posters, I saw some pretty amazing ones. I laughed my ass off at whomever held up the “daddy’s home” poster. heck, I even saw one that said “love from india!!!” which….a round of applause to whomever that was🤌🏼
I also got to watch them throw first pitch at the mariners game and AAAAAAAA OMGGGG they’re literally the cutest!!! 🥺 I swear omg I gasped audibly when seeing their beauty so close. absolute devastation. to experience auburn haired heeseung in person is an honor and a privilege. they’re genuinely so ethereal irl. like wow…THEYRE REAL!?!????? and seeing jay so happy to be back home made me emotional 😢 he looked elated to finally be back home! he spoke of his love for the seattle cherries, his memories in the tacoma area, and the sentimentality he felt as he finally made his way back home. 🥺
I felt so much softness and love in my heart. the vibes were immaculate this week. it honestly felt….rejuvenating. THAT’S the impact their presence has on me. it felt like one big hug. kinda sad that it’s over but i know they’ll be back in the future…… so that’s that! 🥹💗

All day on Twitter, pro Palestine westerners of both sexes have been attempting to justify the scenes in the viral video of the deceased, bloodied, half naked woman, being paraded through the streets in a pick up truck by men with machine guns chanting Allah Akbar.
It's come in 3 forms:
1. saying "where were you when the IDF did [X crime] to [Y woman]?" to people they've literally never met and do not know the politics of. They're just assuming that anyone distressed at the footage is a Jewish/Israeli supremacist who doesn't care for innocent slaughtered Palestinian people.
These whataboutery addicts are disingenuous as all fuck, and completely desensitised to acts of violence, so much so that they project their own inability to extend compassion for murder victims on "the other side", onto those whose tweets they're replying to. Victims are just gotchas to them.
But they're cupcakes compared to the next 2 categories.
2. saying that these men's murders of women, abduction of elderly ladies (separate viral incident) and other crimes against civilians is a justified reaction against apartheid and/or settler colonialism, and that Israeli people have had it coming.
I cannot believe I have to say this, but regardless of your opinion on the conflict, whether you’re a Zionist or believe Israel is an apartheid state, if you believe random women, young and old, and their children, being abducted, bombed, raped, murdered and paraded through the streets by men, is a justified response to oppression, then you are dead inside. That’s not brave rebellion. It’s plain old male savagery.
There is, sadly, an academic case which could be made that such brutalities assist the war effort of a nation to gain independence – this being a reference to the fact that the most savage empires, the ones willing to commit the most gruelling acts, tend to be the ones to come out on top during wars. History shows us - think of Rome, Japan, etc.
But this type of speculation almost always crosses the line into justifying such crimes, because it was never about speculation for speculation’s sake. It was about wanting the other side - including women and children - slaughtered. Pro-Palestine Twitter have demonstrated this perfectly today.
Please let me make this excruciatingly clear, this political behaviour is exhibited by practically every male-dominated movement and ideology there is, which is… everything other than radical feminism. Zionists do this too. As do conservatives, liberals, marxists, fascists, progressives, pacifists, nationalists of all stripes – supremacist and anti-colonial, theocrats, Islamists, etc. It’s just that the issue of today is the Israel Palestine conflict, so this is the obvious example to reference.
And the 3rd form of response, much like the 2nd, is to justify these crimes against civilians as an act of rebellion, but go one step further and laugh about it. Saying things like "play stupid games, win stupid prizes 🤣🤣", "Imfao at Israelis suddenly pretending to be victims", making wojak memes and spamming them to the people expressing distress over seeing that video of the dead woman, etc. See this example from a trans-identified man:
Tumblr media
Notice how at no point have I said my opinion on the Israel Palestine conflict? Because I have one. And it's probably not what either side would expect. And that’s exactly the problem. My disgust at Palestinian men parading a dead Israeli woman through the streets and spitting on her is automatically interpreted to be me supporting the Israeli state.
But your political view on the conflict should have a 0% impact on this fundamental principle: as a feminist, you do not EVER, FUCKING EVER, think that a woman on "the other side" of a mens war deserves to die.
To accuse someone of not caring about dead Palestinian women, as pro-Palestine Twitter have been doing all day, to random stranger who simply said "this is horrific" re: the dead woman in the truck, is:
a) to project your own heartlessness toward women on "the other side" onto them.
b) to further normalise the glorification of violent men, under this false veneer of their crimes being a necessary and justified revolt against whatever type of oppression they have in their society. As if stripping a woman bare and parading her through the streets has ever been a practically useful or ethical war tactic.
And c) to imply that those on "the other side" deserve whatever cruel fate meets them, simply because the male class of their society committed unjustifiable crimes.
I cannot think of anything less pro-woman, anything less feminist, than that.

So I've been playing a lot of Helldivers II, and it's really fun!
(at least, it is when the servers are working lmao)
Tumblr media
However: there is one thing about the game that annoys me. It's the same thing that always annoys me whenever drop pods are mentioned in science fiction.
Nobody ever seems to get them right!
Tumblr media
Whenever drop pods show up, they always seem to depict each pod as a single projectile rocketing towards the surface of a planet, usually behind enemy lines. They're the logical sci fi evolution of airborne infantry dropping in by parachute, because a lot of military sci fi tropes have trouble moving past WWII. And, y'know, that's fine. That's not the issue I have.
The issue is the single projectile part.
It's almost like every writer who includes drop pods forget that anti-aircraft weapons and SAM sites are currently a thing in the real world and would almost certainly still exist and be better in the science fiction space future. Those drop pods rocketing towards the surface would present the juiciest targets imaginable and would almost certainly get shot out of the sky before they even got close to impacting on the surface.
Annoyingly, the only sci fi that I know of to ever get drop pods right is the first one to ever do it: the Starship Troopers novel by Robert Heinlein.
Now, say what you will about Heinlein - and I do, quite often. For the most part, he's not that great of a writer, and his politics are terrible. The man was an asshole who loved writing wet farts of fascist porn, and the novel absolutely pales in comparison to Paul Verhoeven's 1998 masterpiece of satire, where he took one look at the book, rolled his eyes, and started making jerk-off motions.
But when I first read the novel when I was, like, 6 years old, I was a dumbass child and didn't notice (or care) about the... I mean, I'd call it "fascist subtext" except that it's literally just The Text. No, what drew me in was the one singular thing Heinlein was actually good at writing: technical sequences, written from an in-universe lens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way he described how the drop pods actually work in the first few pages of the novel - and, more importantly, how they don't immediately get shot out of the sky - is great! It makes sense, it's easy to understand (because Johnny Rico is, let's be honest: an idiot, he's not going to give you a complicated explanation), and it fills in a plot hole you never realized was there.
For as many faults as the man had as both a writer and a human being, and for all the many problems the rest of the book has, that first chapter - and specifically the drop pod sequence - is a great hook.
Like, this is the template for drop pods. This is The Thing that people are referencing whenever drop pods show up in sci fi, like in fucking Halo, or Starcraft, or Warhammer 40k. And everyone always seems to forget the single most important thing about this infantry delivery system: the countermeasures.
I dunno. This is just one of those things that's always annoyed me.

Let's talk khux gameplay and plot,
imo I think part of khux's story telling and the impact of the story gets lost now that the game is defunct. I always thought people didn't appreciate how the gameplay and the mechanics actually had an impact on the story and while that impact become virtually nonexistent later on, I always thought it made the story far more engaging when the game was just chi/unchained chi and also the English translation didn't do it too well ngl
Anyway what I'm specifically talking about is the medal system. Also I feel like the whole bangle thing wasn't explained well in game but really it just comes down to leveling up medals specifically. If you never played khux, you equip medals to your keyblades and they doa specific attack and to level them up you combine multiple of the same medal and you could see how leveled up a medal is by the amount of yellow dots next to it and, in JP at least, this was called "guilt" and like wow that name fucking slaps. And when nightmare chirithy reveals the player has been collecting darkness this whole time thru the medal system, you have literal guilt on your conscious. You are guilty of collecting darkness and negative emotions like guilt to use for your own power. And in Back Cover when the foretellers are made aware of this, there's no stopping it and ofc the player can't stop either, they HAVE to get stronger, you literally have to keep playing the game,
Another part of the game that I appreciated is the way the name changes factored into the game; chi was the original "world line" that the dandelions existed in and at first unchained chi had come off as just a remake but really what we're playing is the continuation, where the player and the dandelions are now in this unchained state/new world line and they're reliving their time as wielders but now without the war/"dark" memories and finally when they relive everything and get back to the "present," they continue on after into "union cross" which I feel like. wasn't explained well in game that much tbh but if you didn't understand what that meant in game, it was just to say that unions didn't matter anymore and they were all dandelions so the unions. when the unions are crossed.
and tbh the experience of playing this game in real time also added to the experience a lot and the impact of the story especially with a player insert character. I think the most effective use of this game being played in real time was Strelitzia. Now in the english version, everything with Strelitzia was all one update and the english ver was behind so honestly they had to do catch up they couldn't really afford to lag behind. But in JP, which most khux fans kept up with using fan translations, Strelitzia's introduction and her death happened about a month apart so it gave the players time to actualyl grow attached to her and THEN we get crushed. You can easily pin point the exact time certain khux fan art was drawn bc in a group drawing of the dandelions Strelitzia is there instead of Lauriam since he was only introduced after her death
and another thing! It only became apparent by the end of the game but khux actually takes place over the course of about 4 years. which is fucking insane. because the dandelions were stuck in the data for 4 years and didn't know it until the glitches started. and the game ran for roughly the same amount of time and we weren't even aware of that either until the glitches! ("why 4 years" there are cutscenes that literally say "4 years ago" so yeah girl what the fuck haha)
Anyway yeah this was just me rambling I think about this so much all the time can you tell. I hope missing link does something like this too tbh it makes it more fun and makes it feel that your actions as the player actually have impact on the story

Of all the difficult choices in each season of TWDG, What would say are the ones that you struggled with the most for each season?
HMM good question. there are some choices i feel conflicted about when i get to them but these are for the most part the ones that i actively dread having to make (which i like 😏 those are the best choices). there are other choices throughout the series that i feel Bad about, but not necessarily conflicted. like. i Know what my choice is, but i still feel bad about the consequences 😔 these are the ones that i actually mentally find myself battling. i just love the kinds of choices that make me sit on a pause screen for too long when its really Not That Serious
S1: help lilly/help kenny - the circumstances of this choice are what make it hard. literally a ticking time bomb. do you try to save lillys father? even tho hes been nothing but a complete jackass to you AND the group this entire time and put himself in this situation? or do you try to save the group by destroying his brain before its too late? clem being there watching doesnt help because now theres the added layer of "do i brutally murder this man in front of this child even if it means saving her life?" i usually end up trying to help lilly just because i know kenny is gonna do it regardless (and i dont want her to feel completely ostracized by the group). the idea of puling this woman back from her dying father so we can brutally murder him in front of her is.... a lot. like.. you can TRY to save him you know?? even if he turns hed still have to get off the ground first just hold the salt lick ready kenny 💀 plus you still have to actually Die first before turning. theyd have a second to feel his pulse stop. but its a very hectic scene where youre forced to act first think later. and either way clem is forced to see it. the worst part about it is knowing kenny is gonna be on my ass about it even tho i side with him on LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE 😐😑
shoot lee/leave lee - its just 😭 telling this little girl to kill the one person she has left, moments after seeing her dead parents. its time for her to start doing the hard things. but to tell her to do THIS?? you are fucking that child up beyond belief. but also the guilt she'll carry if she DOESNT do it, knowing hes still in that jewelry store, possibly chained to it, forever (which the narrative impact of lee starting and ending the game in handcuffs (possibly a prisoner in his own body??) makes me SCREAM AND CRY LEEEEEEEEEEE THATS GOOD NARRATIVE BAYBEE).
S2: shoot kenny/look away - another "is clem ready to do this?" kind of moment. its time for her to start making her own choices. what does SHE want?? i think even a clem who shoots kenny is gonna be conflicted about it on some level. recently i played a clem who let kenny kill jane then shot him anyway. that was cool :) and the moment is way more dark than shooting him outright. no heartfelt goodbyes. just a tired "do it". oof. the set up for the kenny/jane fight is Not Good like we ALLLLLL KNOOWWW it shouldve been luke ok. but the choice itself is still a HUGE character moment for clem, and its one of my favorite and most dreaded choices in the series. how is clem feeling about kenny at this point? is shooting him something she can do?? before its too late?? or will she be paralyzed by choice? this is a choice she Never shouldve had to make, but here she is, and she has to. before time runs out. i like my clems alone so usually i either wait out the clock (no choice is still a choice. clem just cant do it but cant look away either) and stay at wellington (good alone ending), or i shoot him 1 of 2 ways (clem Can do it)(bad alone ending). shooting him after he kills jane is just like 2 birds one stone to me SHDHSJKDS 💀 and it hits that middle ground of being paralyzed by choice but still ultimately Making A Choice, just too late for it to matter to anyone but herself. and her line of dialogue finding aj alone "we're gonna be ok, we're gonna be ok" like shes trying to reassure herself more than anything WAAAHH i kinda liked it a Lot actually 👀
S3: ??? romancing kate or not i guess?? - its the only one that really made me feel conflicted (aside from maybe the conrad thing?? sorry clem but im gonna force you to stick around actually i like it for the Narrative and it makes gabe less annoying later. also conrads alright). do you respect your brother or do you get with his wife who hates him LOL. because its not one choice you make, not really. its one the game is constantly asking of you, putting you in situations where the choice needs to be made again and again until finally you make the Ultimate choice about it. people who complain about the game being so pushy about it are kinda funny to me because like, ya.. thats the whole point.... (ive pushed back defiantly Literally just because of how pushy the game is about it tho so like i get it) she is a temptation the game is intentionally dangling in front of javi. she is the Final source of conflict between the brothers. will he remain loyal or give into it? i say give in 😏 give david something to actually be mad about. ive both romanced her and not, and the game kinda feels stunted if you dont? like... i Get It. thats your brothers wife who is still wearing her ring after YEARS of him being gone. theres 😬 feelings there. but even if you dont romance her the game still punishes you by having her be weird about it in the garage in front of david anyway. i say do it even tho its messy. it makes the story more sound imo which S3 desperately needs at that point. javi can still feel bad about it. what DID david expect?? i love mess :)
S4: kill couple/send aj inside - i love a choice that gives me a lot to think about. even if the actual in game consequences are flimsy to none. with this choice specifically, what makes it hard is the fact that the couple asked to be left alone. if they were just two walkers it wouldve been a no brainer. but with their final request, it becomes a matter of respecting the dying wish of this sad couple (which becomes narratively relevant at the end of the game OUGH WHEN IT COMES BACK). and will you teach aj that respecting those wishes is important? he needs to learn to become self sufficient anyway. clem crawled through her own number of dangerous holes in her youth. but thats the other side of it. that clem, knowing personally how dangerous crawling into those spaces where no one could follow was, i dont know how comfortable she would be letting aj do the same. but also, she doesnt want him to grow up too hardened. if she kills this couple, its pushing him further into that hardened mindset. to do whatever you have to to survive, no matter the cost to others. its a choice i find myself sitting with the longest even tho its consequences are pretty much just 2 lines of dialogue ("that couple clem tried to Guilt me about" LMAO YEAH ITS TRUE AJ THIS IS A LEARNING MOMENT FOR YOU). but yeah this is a choice i have a 50/50 chance with going either way on. every time i kill the couple i feel so bad about it 😭 (and so does clem 🥺). it being more of a philosophical question instead of an actual gameplay decision is what i like about it
not sure/take things slow/girlfriends/kiss - NOT JOKING ABOUT THIS ONE its actually so hard for me HSDHSDJKSJKDJK i dont have a paragraph of reasons why tho i just love them all differently. the first two feel the most realistic. i do like the idea of taking things slow and the dialogue for it is really sweet. but also. they might die or be taken tonight. so one kiss before everything could come crashing down on them is nice. but also hearing them call each other girlfriends???? adds years to my life. vi in ep 3 being like "um so you said you wanted to be girlfriends 🥺?" and clem like "😏 ya" i just love hearing them say it 😭 Out Loud 👁👁. and then either way clem gets another chance to kiss her in the woods in ep 3 so it works out. and 2 more kisses in ep 4 from vi this time!! thank you devs for my life 🙏 what a wonderful choice
i love choice games so much just because of the questions they ask of you. i honestly LOVE looking through the player choice stats i find them SO INTERERSTING ESPECIALLY the ones that are split perfectly 50/50. i would literally look at the stats for every single choice im not joking. where are the stats

wake for the character game :)
omg yay<3
favorite thing about them: her sheer commitment to her cause. she went through the horror of impregnating herself with the sperm of what has to be the person she despises most in the universe and then carried that baby under her heart for nine months just for the long shot of being able to kill john. she stuck around for at least nineteen years as a revenant and stayed (more or less) sane just on the sheer force of her conviction. landmine people for real.
least favorite thing about them: she's dead :((
favorite line: how can i choose one. every single thing she says. banger after banger after banger. but i guess it has to be
THE ONLY THING OUR CIVILIZATION CAN EVER LEARN FROM YOURS IS THAT WHEN OUR BACKS ARE TO THE WALL AND OUR TOWERS ARE FALLING ALL AROUND US AND WE ARE WATCHING OURSELVES BURN WE RARELY BECOME HEROES.
made such an impact on me i named the server after it.
brOTP: well wake and pash obviously idk if that's a brOTP i just love the idea of auntie wake. otherwise gotta be wake and we suffer. in my head they either had a mentor/mentee situation or they had a relationship. maybe both. either way i imagine they were very close at one point.
OTP: wake/pyrrha/g1deon. i just know whatever she had going on with both of them was so crazy i need the prequel so bad. please tamsyn show me the gunplay.
nOTP: wake/john. literally what the fuck is wrong with you people.
random headcanon: the first thing that came to mind when i saw this is that wake put cigarettes out on pyrrha. this is like canon to me. more randomly i also imagine that she had a bad relationship with her mom but was close to her grandparents before they either died during the invasion of her home planet by the empire or got separated during resettlement.
unpopular opinion: she genuinely did nothing wrong. i would have killed that baby to open the tomb.
song i associate with them: thanks to lem's wake playlist, rex - brutus ii by the buttress. also raupatu by alien weaponry for obvious reasons.
favorite picture of them: franzia's art of wake was the very first fanart of wake i can remember seeing and really loving. her face her hair the fact that she's decking that skeleton. what could be more iconic

ok serious thoughts on the fnaf movie this time. they're a little scattered but i did just see it so i gotta think on it some more before i give like an actually structured review. but immediate thoughts post-viewing:
i had fun with the movie! i thought it was enjoyable. was hoping for at LEAST a little more blood (i really wanted to see william fucking explode into blood for one) but i knew there wasn't gonna be much since its pg13. it wasn't scary like in the slightest except for 1 jumpscare that almost kind of got me but i wish they set up the atmosphere a little bit more.
MAJOR GRIPE. i hate that vanessa is related to william. please stop retconning the afton family scott pretty please. give that man his dead children back. i seriously seriously love the "man goes fucked up sicko mode because of his grief" trope but alas.
i think that the pacing is NOTTTT very good at all. william needed more screen time 100% and there wasn't that great of a build up to the climax. maybe its more impactful to people who didn't already know that steve is william, but i'd wager that they're probably like HUH WHUH??? at that reveal because its not really. set up that much. and yes im biased because i fucking love william ok.
i think matthew lillard did a great job, BUT... we barely got to see him at all! and, especially with the "i always come back line..." i cringed a little bit man. like what are you coming back from? you haven't died yet man. there's nothing to come back from yet tf are you yappin about. it felt like it was really shoved in there honestly. we DESPERATELY needed to see more of him! in fact, most of the characters needed more set up! like ok... mike lost his brother? why should i care. mike is gonna lose his sister? why should i care tho?? these kids died but they dont really seem like they care too much about being dead either so whats the big deal.
AND WHY DIDN'T THE KIDS HAVE BEEF WITH WILLIAM/THE YELLOW RABBIT. THEY CLEARLY WERE SHOWN TO KNOW HE KILLED THEM, BUT THEY DON'T TURN ON HIM UNTIL ABBY PUTS UP HER SHITTY LIL DRAWING? FOR REAL????? WHY? + THEY DONT EVEN GET NAMED AT ALL. THE MOVIE CARES SO LITTLE ABOUT THE KIDS AND YET THEY DONT EVEN ALLOCATE THAT TIME TO AFTON EITHER. THEY FUMBLED BOTH SIDES!
also a lot of stuff just kind of isn't resolved? like the mike vs his aunt thing. is his aunt dead or...? + what was the fucking freddy saw trap thing that doesn't get explained at all. did the police not see that or does william just lug that thing in and out of the building constantly. what's it even for.
im also curious about some things. whats up with that kid who had a midnight motorist shirt. whats up with the other random springlock animatronic that is never named nor do we get a full look at. Where's Henry. are we just straight up ditching henry this time around?
i came into this knowing it wouldn't be lore accurate nor gory because of the rating but ugh. Ughhhh. can we please settle on one fnaf timeline to be canon its been almost 10 years we don't needa be playing like this anymore bro. i want to see the afton family for REAL show me cc getting his fuckin head chomped off or elizabeth getting snatched. give us literally any of the original missing children give us cassidy or something. like even in the silver eyes at least we got henry ffs! it just makes me a little sad knowing that one of the rejected scripts WAS accurate to the game lore.
shout out to my homie @yellowbutterbear for seeing the movie with me and discussing this stuff with me 🔥
6/10 not enough william afton moaning and whimpering AMEN!!!

ok this is a bit of a “call-out post” over...pixels, but fuck it, i am bored. raiden ei, baal, or whatever you wanna call her, is the closest genshin impact has come to having a full blown fascist. and the fact the game tries to paint her as a “misdirected good person,” with the fandom eating it up, is kind of weird. i am going to write these off the top of my head, please feel free to correct me if i got any of these wrong: - Kujou Sara openly mentions at one point that she arrested Arataki Itto for resisting the confiscation of his vision, implying that a prison sentence is the harshest the Commissions will go with enforcing the Vision Hunt Decree. The very first time you interact with Baal is when the Shogunate drags Thoma away, ties him up, and puts him in front of the Archon, who literally everyone says is planning on fucking KILLING Thoma to celebrate that he is the 100th Vision owner whose Vision will be confiscated. - The same cutscene has what is, in my opinion, one of the most fucking horrifying things someone can do: A statue, inlaid with ninety nine Visions, standing tall in full view of everyone as they get ready to watch Thoma get butchered infront of them. There is a fucking statue meant to instill fear of the Shogun and her absolute authority right behind the area where she is about to fucking kill a man simply as a means of celebrating her absolute rule. - As soon as The Traveler saves Thoma, Baal takes zero time in recognizing that they lack a vision, and notes that they are an exception. Her next lines are as follows: “Exceptions...the enemy of Eternity.” “You will be inlaid upon this statue.” She met this person just now, does not know their intentions, but the moment she sees they are different from how she likes her subjects, and thus a threat to her specific version of greatness, she immediately declares them an enemy and threatens to stuff their carcass inside a statue. It takes a Nightkin from Fallout a lot more agitating to threaten you with something as bad. I do not think I need to explain why “exceptions...the enemy of eternity” is just fascist bullshit with a few words swapped around. At least...I hope I do not have to. - There is an entire resistance against the Vision Hunt Decree in Watatsumi Island, organized by some of the kindest people in Teyvat. Their terms are simple -- reverse the Vision Hunt Decree, and leave those people alone. Not once does the game state, or show, the Shogunate trying to negotiate a middle ground with the resistance while the Vision Hunt Decree is still going. You know what it shows, though? Kujou Sara being sent to assault the resistance. And the argument of “well they were a threat” does not work, as the resistance has basically zero presence outside of their own territory, Kujou Sara is on the offensive in the aforementioned cutscene, and they literally became a peacekeeping force as soon as their demands were met. Also the resistance themselves admit their battle is a losing one, with Gorou having to stick around to see to the wounded instead of pressing any advantage they may have. - The horrible authoritarianism of Baal gets so bad that Yae Miko -- someone who is normally incredibly dismissive and has a “devil may care” attitude -- pulls you in and goes “Hey, look. I need you to beat the shit out of her.” An entire Archon quest is spent on learning to dodge Raiden Shogun’s attacks. For comparison, we had no such preparations for Scaramouche, Tartaglia, or Signora. It gets that bad. - And when you do beat Raiden Shogun, what happens? Ei gives her a stern talking to, and a slap in the wrist, and she says she’ll give her authoritarianism and Eternity stuff “some thought.” She doesn’t say she’ll stop, she doesn’t say she’ll try to be more humane. She does not even say sorry. She says she’ll THINK about it. And she straight up tells you that she won’t abolish the Vision Hunt Decree because she values the well-being of her people, but because she agreed to do it if you beat her. Until the bitter fucking end, she treats herself as “the right one” and everyone who tells her otherwise as “enemies of Eternity.” So, logically, the stuff that would follow this would be a series of quests and events that detail how Baal recovers from her authoritarian streak, and betters herself as a person, right? No. What are you, stupid? Every single quest that features Baal immediately after she says she’ll give being a fucking fascist “some thought” tries to either make you: - Find her cute ( Reflections of Mortality ) - Feel bad for her???? ( Transient Dreams ) - Gawk at how she is lesbians with Yae Miko now (literally any event where they can be on screen at the same time) Genshin literally shows you who might be the most abhorrent, egotistical person in the game next to fucking Dottore, makes you go through several quests that show the results of such a horrible fucker being in charge of their own nation, has characters actively tell you their peace with said character is uneasy because they see no reason to be wholly trustful of them and, just when their ideological conviction might be shaken by being defeated every step of the way...gives them a mean look and immediately forgives them when they say “I’ll think about it” and nothing more. You are supposed to find...this. Whatever THIS is. Cute. Charming. Relatable. So, yeah, I am sorry, but I think I will remain convinced that, unless they start skinning infants, a decent chunk of the fuckin’ Fatui are morally superior to Baal in every single way and Mihoyo should absolutely let us side with them more often.

5, 9, 16 for the ask game!
5. What do you think is the most character-defining c!Dream scene?
vassalvassalvassalvassalvassal--
I think. In terms of moments that actually ummm are the most telling of his character in general, vassal wouldn't necessarily be my choice. But in terms of impact on his character, god, is there anything more defining? If we are talking about c!Dream and the villain persona and every single action defined upon that as a foundation, you HAVE to talk about vassal. If we're talking about c!Dream and c!Tommy and the moment that truly set their roles in stone, it has to be Vassal. Vassal is what leads to c!Dream who "does everything for chaos" in November 16th, vassal is what led to a c!Dream who stood alone after Wilbur's death, vassal is what led to the breakdown at the end of Pogtopia that was the driving force behind all of his actions to put himself in prison, vassal is where he gives Wilbur the TNT, Wilbur who he intentionally echoes in Doomsday. If you make a list of c!Dream's standpoints on a variety of L'manburg related issues, not only is c!Wilbur the common thread between any changes in viewpoint he expresses, but Vassal is as well. Everything in season 1b is, in a lot of ways, The Fallout after season 1a, obviously, but also more specifically Pogtopia and especially the vassal conversation.
Dream acting in Wilbur's service at the same time that he resigns himself to play his role in service to The Lmanburg Narrative DOES ANYONE ELSE HEAR ME--
okay. i'm normal again
9. How do you headcanon c!Dream's appearance? Does it ever change?
Funniest part of this ask is that like, 2 years ago, I literally made a series of c!Dream portraits literally about this. I'd say that my designs have probably changed some since but I'll throw them here bc they're relevant:
Tumblr media
(+1 plus the post-prison one I made as an update:
Tumblr media
I don't have the strongest opinions on his appearance besides. Normal guy. Human. I tend to draw him with straighter hair, which is kinda funny to me--armor + mask usually, especially later on in the story. I tend to flip between wanting his appearance to have more obvious marks from the torture versus less so (I do love myself the horror of healing potions can literally heal everything so I play with that sometimes) but I definitely like a gaunter appearance post-prison. I do have a degree of preference for prettyboy c!Dream, because I think it plays with the whole dehumanization + mask thing in a fun way as well as how a lot of people on the server who see him + his power as a threat think that their best means of dealing with him is through subjugation + taking his power by force + making him their bitch.
16. What's your favorite c!Dream headcanon?
Ooooh that's a hard one...hmmmm. Mostly hard because I can't recall literally anything on demand. To Be Fair. Idk, maybe along the lines of the original Disc Wars (now that we've had both c!Dream and c!Tommy refer to those times as being much more lighthearted compared to later conflicts) there have always been a few conflicts where, in the spirit of the whole prank war nonsense that originally inhabited that first "war," I've been a fan of the idea of c!Dream going easy on c!Tommy and c!Tubbo (mostly because at the time I was preeeetty sure cc!Dream was going easy on them at a few points, the whole conflict with the ender chest being a standout. Like okay Tommy Just So Happened to craft the ender chest JUUUUUUUUUST in time. Mmhm. Sure..)
But for a later one bc it's the only thing my head is giving me, probably that c!Dream was high as fuck in the c!Bad prison stream. Those potatoes were not clean Sam and you know it 🙄

What are some of your favorite videogames? ♡ ♡ ♡
(extremely long post incoming lol turns out i have a lot of things to say on this subject)
usually i have too hard of a time trying to remember anything i like to have answers for questions like these but thankfully for this one i have answers prepared since this is something i try to think about a lot
realistically if i had to pick one single "favorite videogame" above the rest itd probably just, like, ocarina of time & majora's mask (i'm considering them to be one videogame because i said so, it;s a package deal), just on account of how much of an impact they had on me from an early age combined with just how often i Still go back to revisit them in one way or another, but this is just about the most basic boring answer a person can have for this question unfortunately
thankfully you asked for some of my favorites instead of just one so i can unveil my Actual list of favorites instead of the one that only holds the top spot by technicality and not because i actually like it "the most". all of my favorite games have such a range in style and quality it's hard to really compare them in any meaningful way
anyway
crypt worlds, space funeral, and off-peak are all pretty different games made by very different people but i usually group them together when talking about stuff like this since collectively finding them all back in the day at roughly the same time kind of shaped my perception of indie games as a whole which probably gave me a very weird and skewed perception of the media but who gives a shit really it's a perception i hold dear. (they weren't the first indie games i ever saw of course but they were the most personally impactful ones that made me go "holy shit, this is awesome, you can do literally whatever you want")
they've pretty heavily influenced my own games, too. there have been multiple times i've started a project and then days later realized "wait shit this is just space funeral again. i'm just making space funeral again but slightly to the left. fuuuck" which is a pretty good problem to have i think.
anyway,
gadget: invention, travel, and adventure is an old point and click game i found a few years ago that struck me by just how unique feeling its atmosphere is. strange looking people turn to you and say even stranger sounding things, the soundtrack feels like its having a nervous breakdown, the main character is given so few meaningful decisions/actions (read: basically none) by the people around them that it can barely be considered a game at all…it is a very fascinating experience, and one that i think back to a lot
i like Your Turn To Die a lot and am very excited to see how it ends, though i feel like i don't have too much to say on it here. one of those games that has me going "oh man i should draw more fanart for that one of these days" every time i'm reminded of it only to then remember that i Can't Fucking Draw right now lmao
myhouse.wad is something that extremely deserves to go on this list but a large part of my brain is telling me not to just because somewhere along the line i fucked up and became allergic to anything that has ever recently become popular & trendy on youtube because i don't want to look like a poser even though literally no one but me cares about where i hear about these things so i can only bring myself to include it if i also state that i played it BEFORE it was cool &all the streamers started covering it like some kind of shameful hipster. but for real though its awesome, very inspiring stuff. i wish my brain did not force me to want to distance myself from it for literally no good reason. fucking ocarina of time is on this list why is this the thing that makes you afraid of looking like a normie
i have a lot of appreciation for myst in a kind of "i've never played more than 5 minutes of this nor have i even bothered to watch a playthrough of it but i understand what you have done for me and the games i love that came after you" kind of way. i have purchased 3 different copies of it over the years as well as a copy of riven and i don't intend on playing any of them anytime soon. great game, probably. i wouldn't know.
i like a lot of kitty horrorshow's games but i don't really know what my favorite would be. lethargy hill is probably the one i think about most often though.
i like (the steam version of) dwarf fortress a lot and have been trying to play it more often. it is very funny having 80 hours in a game and still not feeling like you understand half the mechanics in it. figuring it out as i go along has been fun though. in a similar vein i also like elden ring a lot and despite being at over 160 hours on that one i still haven't beaten it. i need to get back to it before the dlc comes out but i stopped playing for so long that most of my muscle memory is gone…
for something much more recent than all of the above, absolutely perfect specimen is something really incredible that gave me a lot of stuff to think about, though it can be a little hard to recommend since it's extremely 18+ and has a whole big list of content warnings you definitely need to take heed of. extremely interesting work though, i like it a lot.
i'm running out of things to list off and should probably stop just for the sake of time even if there is more shit that deserves mentioning so i'll just end it off with CLONE ON NET YAROZE BABYYYYYY LET'S FUCKIN GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💯💪🙌💥💯💯

Super Bowl Thoughts For Those Who Care
I am now fully on board with the "NFL is scripted" conspiracy theory. Or at the very least, that it's heavily rigged for it's poster superstars.
Let me start off by saying that I have massive respect for the Chiefs organization. Mahomes and Kelce are fucking nuts and absolute freak of nature athletes, and Andy Reid is one of the greatest head coaches of all time. If you guys had won literally any other way, I would be full-heartedly congratulating them.
But you didn't.
You won off the most. absolute. BULL SHIT penalty I have ever seen in my decades of watching football. Defensive holding call on an incomplete on 3rd and 8 with 2 minutes left and Eagles have two timeouts left. Juju goes to the line and Bradberry makes contact, penalty flag thrown.
The problem with this: that was not flagworthy at all. To start with, it's a relatively penalty free game, meaning the refs are content to just let the athletes compete and play it out. In a game like that, you can't suddenly throw the flag for a nitpicky penalty like that that clearly doesn't impact the play enough to change the outcome. You can't let these guys play physical all game long and then suddenly decide that they're not allowed to play the way you let them play all fucking game.
Secondly, Mahomes threw that ball 12 yards away from Juju, it was completely uncatchable even without the "hold". Even without the contact from Bradberry, Juju is never catching that ball.
Finally, IT'S NOT EVEN A FUCKING FOUL. Contact was made literally RIGHT at the line of scrimmage, and you're allowed to make contact within the first 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. There is literally no flag on this play whatsoever.
So congratulations to the Chiefs and the NFL. Instead of possibly having one of the most memorable Super Bowls of all time with a chance to let the Eagles have a final potential game winning drive, you made it so that the worst flag of all time was thrown and revealed that you're completely on the take. And now the whole world knows it too. Everybody in the entire world knows that the flag would never get called on anybody ever unless they were going against the Chiefs.
You have now painted Mahomes as the New Tom Brady. Not as in the greatest QB of all time, but as in all he has to do is whine about a flag and the closest ref will throw one for him. You took one of the greatest, shining superstars of the sport and showed everyone that you'll do anything to make it so that he wins. Forever tarnishing his legacy, instead of his outstanding athleticism, he'll now be remembered as the QB who needs the refs in his pocket to win.
Sincerely, Disappointed NFL fan.

no more Clint hate. we are RETIRING Clint hate. Stardew Valley characters are written so superficially (albeit very fun, memorable and sweet) that i simply cannot fathom a deeper allegory of sexism into this game in one of its characters. NO MORE !!!
transferring examples a bit: like ok anti capitalism but the anti capitalism is written very lightly that the most anti socialist communist mf out there would automatically go against Joja out of intuition. because frankly speaking Stardew isnt that kind of game and it doesnt need to of course but more importantly its just completely inoffensive
i mean i guess i could sum it up as me not understanding any hate for any character in this game just due to how inoffensive the flaws of any characters are
"Clint is an incel and a creep" you are very bad at extending the tone of the game to the character dialogue. why must we interpret his "I'm a nice guy!" and "You won..." dialogues as anything other than middle school understanding of romance (very appropriate for the tone of the game). i mean, even Shanes arc was handled on the level of a middle schooler - what kind of fucking depressed alcoholic gets better with marriage and some chickens LMFAOOO but people dont extend that same level of concern towards the impact of his arc because... yeah i have no idea why actually 💀
i think i can somewhat reverse engineer why those dialogues are picked. the nice guy line being merely a reference to his loserness minus anything genuinely dangerous (no one is dangerous in Stardew Valley there are no high stakes lol), and the you win line as a play on the "good guy winning the girl" trope
i mean i know people are passionate about this game and the hate isnt serious either - like, this is all make believe and were all having fun because were exploring a wide range of emotions. but, sometimes, i wonder how much people cannot differentiate between canon tone vs their own perception of it. its not anything unethical to misinterpret the tone but it sure is annoying having some mf yapping how "creepy" a very harmless, middle schooler written character is
side note: dialogues of Clint wanting to rizz Emily even post Emily marriage is merely a coding problem and not intentional narration. the part where he "stalks" her, he wasnt even stalking. he was just garnering courage to confront her but chickened out so hid in a bush, only to come out after the coast is clear. hes less of a creep and just someone whos really cowardly
i think some people like to intentionally make casual stories deeper, and i think thats fine, though i guess its just not my cup of tea. i think the only genuine concern i would have against Stardew is the racism in regards to Ginger Island. no, not like direct racism - nothing that is explicit, but it carries the biases based on race discrimination against natives (but... thats a whole other story. no no not here yet). in narrative Clint doesnt even actually do anything rude so theres no way for the narrative to justify him towards us, the audience. i mean, the narrative literally gives him a bad ending lmfao all he did was be pathetic

So I just finished the main story of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and here are my thoughts for those who care:
Overall the game was good, the story was impactful and there were a lot of things I loved about it.
First of all, ALL the Isu area's were amazing in their own ways. They were all varying degrees of cool or unsettling, and gave off the vaguely 'alien' feel I always thought the Isu things gave off.
The forge area where you upgrade the spear was both familiar and new, and the orange color the lights took on was unique.
The temple for Medusa was eerie, all the stone people outside, the petrified trees, the strange almost 'slowed-time' effect in the area, the fact your horse and eagle refused to enter the area...all very good touches. I suppose the only thing I was disappointed with in this side activity was the fact Medusa had legs and wasn't a Naga. I mean, she teleported anyway, why couldn't she have had a snake half?
Likewise, the Minotaur was really cool and the maze was awesome, how everything was falling apart, the deadends and various bones and corpses, the fact that the rope you're supposed to follow is broken or missing in area's, it was all really tense with the sounds of the minotaur echoing around you. And the dilapidated palace or whatever that was built over top was a good touch.
The Cyclops and Sphinx, however, were kind of a disappointment. The Sphinx didn't have her own 'arena' or temple, even if she didn't attack you. The fact that the area was outside and open to the world (and there was literally a camp with people in it 20 feet away) was a bit 'out of character' in my opinion. Yeah you had to answer the Sphinx's riddles to get the crest or whatever, but were the Isu so sure no one would answer them correctly to leave it to chance? At the very least they could have given the Sphinx an underground temple with trials to pass before even getting to her.
And the Cyclops on the forgotten isle was also kind of...blah. By the time I could get into the area, I'd already tried to enter multiple times through my exploration. And already had fought two other Cyclops who were way cooler. If anything, all three Cyclops should have had a fragment of the crest you needed, so that you'd have to fight all three. What even was the point of the other ones?
The legendary beasts were cool and fun to fight, I only wish you didn't have to kill or be banished by Daphnae at the end of it. Why could she have run away with me?
All the various tombs/temples/sunken area's/forts and just the general world you could explore were very cool.
Now for the things I didn't care for...
The world was WAY TOO FUCKING BIG. Seriously, the main story and exploring the world has me over 147 hours, and only about 3 of those hours was me doing the mainline story missions. So...why would it take me 144 hours? That would mean it took me 48 times the amount of time it took me to finish the story than it did to explore the world... That is too much. And most of the world isn't even used in the main story line either, so there's really no excuse to have such a massive map. You actually travel very little for the main story, maybe a bit more for all the cultists, but even then some cultists were very close to each other anyway, Ubisoft didn't even spread them out despite all the space.
For really a vast majority of the places you have to go out of your way to even see them. If you're just following the main questline, there are area's you will never even go to. In my opinion, the map could have been cut in half, at least, and still be a good game with a large area to explore.
And to tie in with the large map, they made the character levels go up to 99? Why? What was the need? So that you had to continue to go around to forts and such to kill large amounts of enemies to level up so the Mercenaries can't be 30+ levels higher than you? At 147+ hours, I'm only level 79, so another 20 levels to be maxed out, with the exp cap getting larger with each one...how long am I supposed to spend on this one game?
And now another big thing people have heard me talk about before. Why the two different character options, with only 1 set story? As in the character you choose to play as is always a mercenary whose sibling is presumed dead but is actually brainwashed by a cult. This would be fine if Odyssey was a self-contained game, but you have Alexios on the cover of the game, but Kassandra in the majority of promotional stuff, and the 'canon' protagonist who appears in another game!
Basically, Ubisoft made Kassandra too important to the AC universe as a whole to really allow for Alexios to have any space for himself. I mean, Kassandra not only interacts with Eivor at some point, but also lives to the modern times to give the staff of Hermes to Layla. And while I'm sure those parts would show Alexios if you played as him, the point still stands that it's Kassandra who appears in Valhalla.
So in my opinion, it should have been a similar scenario as with Eivor where the name is the same, just the gender is different, or it's a set storyline: You play as Kassandra, a mercenary who travels to find her family and save her brother from a cult.
Or...you know...not have Kassandra travel to other games...
In short, they've made Kassandra so important that Alexios is often an afterthought, and that's sad.
And kind of tying in with that last point, I thought it was really fucking stupid to show Kassandra getting the staff of Hermes, and seeing what happens when someone holds it too long, and then IMMEDIATELY having Kassandra appear in front of Layla to hand the staff over and die. Like, that was so sudden it really didn't have an impact on me? If you had to pull the player out of the animus and have Kassandra show up with the staff right there, why not let Kassandra work with the modern Assassin's for a bit, maybe have a big showdown with Abstergo where Kassandra helps them fight, AND THEN Kassandra gives Layla the staff and dies?
Just one after the other like that was unimpactful in my opinion. Or like...don't show us what happened when Kassandra's dad gave her the staff, fade to black with some ominous words like 'Kassandra, there's something you must know...' and then you think Kassandra's dad gave her the staff and left, so when Kassandra dies when she gives Layla the staff you're completely caught off guard with it because you didn't know for certain what would happen?
It was too rushed. Just saying.
A smaller issue I had...why were most of the romanceable npc's woman? Ubisoft gave a lot of instances where Kassandra could be a lesbian, but playing as Alexios you'd have very little men options... So either lesbians are ok, and gay men aren't, or if everyone was to play strictly 'straight' then playing as Kassandra could be seen as her being a better, more focused mercenary as she wasn't falling into bed with every man she saw, and Alexios would be a womanizer. Who knows, just a strange thing I noticed. I think I got the option with only three or four men to romance them, but like... every woman was dtf Kassandra...
Ok, now just some super small complaints:
-why could lynx's take me off my horse? they're pretty small.
-why were npc mercenaries's tamed animals so much better than mine?
-why could I not hunt whales? they're right there, I can kill sharks.
-why can't I get resources from birds? don't I need feathers for crafting arrows?
-why so many fucking ainigmata ostraka? why so many engravings? I haven't even used any of them...
-what's the point of that forge guy in Hephaistos's Workshop? He never did anything for me, so I stopped going.
-lead cultist was so predictable.
-stop pulling me out of the Animus when things are getting good!
-ugh...why should I care about Layla? I really don't... (bring back Desmond!!<3)
-also just...I find Layla annoying?? I just...can't stand her...Literally don't know why, just never liked her. (my first ever AC was origin's, didn't like her from the start so it's not 'you just don't like her cause Desmond' because...I literally knew her before Desmond...)
-Alexios forgave in ch9 far too quickly. the spear should have showed him what happened that night. simply taking Kassandra and Myrinne's word for what happened is stupid, he's been lied to by a cult his entire life...
-I got the 'best' ending with Nikolaos and stentor at dinner with Kassandra, alexios and myrinne. why is myrinne ok with nikolaos being there? he made up with Kassandra, to myrinne he's still the man that allowed the cult to nearly kill both her children. and stentor is a grown ass man adopted by her shitty husband. whi tried to kill Kassandra. just saying, best ending should not have nikolaos and stentor as part of the 'happy' family.

i appreciate the answer but you still didn't answer my question, being if you'd want someone who fantasizes about kids to work around children... i do not inherently believe people with certain fetishes are evil but i think the best course of action is not to repeatedly indulge in it i.e. the glitchedpuppet example. and not just them, but others like zaush or jasonafex, who both drew (and in some occassions even traced over pictures of) children in sexual situations and were later outed as grooming children. I bring that up not to insult you but to try and emphasize that they also started out as fiction-only and later moved on to the real thing... i think its simply irresponsible to claim fiction is harmless when it can have an actual impact on the way your brain normalizes things, like mortal kombat developers actually getting PTSD from being forced to watch gore videos in order to make the gore in-game as realistic as possible. Repeatedly exposing yourself to large amounts of simulated CP/abuse, zoophilia, etc can really fuck up your longterm perceptions and even if you think you would never cross the line that doesn't mean the others consuming your publicly posted works might not have that resolve and act out their fantasies on real life animals or children ... once again i emphasize i don't want this to come across as an attack and i dont condone harassment of you but people have a right to be concerned, esp those like me who were shown content like this at a young age, specifically a lot of zoophilic art, and got really fucked up by it. I do want to apologize for no links as tumblr hates them in asks, but you can look up these claims and they are verifiable
I get what you're saying but I'm just not convinced that nsfw art is at all the culprit for why those people did bad things. Like, look, porn isn't going to wave away your convictions. These people just didn't have moral standing to begin with. Whether or not porn existed they'd have hurt people. They're shitty people that also happen to draw nsfw. People use all sorts of things to hurt. If someone makes and sells knives anybody could buy one and hurt someone with it. I make sure to make my space one that rewards morality and is hostile to people with bad intentions. The kink community, at least the part I've become a part of, is full of literally the kindest and most safety oriented people there are. They're very focused on consent, mental well being, and social progress. I can't police everyone that engages with my work, there will always be bad people that slither their way in, but that's true for literally anything.
As for your question, if someone is fantasizing about real kids, then no I don't think they should work with children. If they fantasize about fictional kids, that gets into a big gray area. There are several other factors to consider when calculating if someone is high risk, and I dont think we as just some shmucks on the internet are qualified to decide that. I don't think these are things that can be summed up in one blanket statement of if they're dangerous or not. That's something for professionals to work on. I'm just not qualified to say if this one trait should be a qualifier for pathology

Understandable lol but from a United fans view why are the players getting such different treatment when they left for the same reason?
no literally! people have just turned on lessi for some fucking reason and it's honestly horrible to watch. i think the main difference is that united is lessi's childhood team, and barca is ona's, so ona is going home, whilst less is supposedly leaving it.
that being said, i think there's clearly something going on that we don't know about, and even if there isn't, i personally don't see a huge problem with alessia's decision, since united doesn't seem serious with all these last minute offers. i've seen a lot of bad takes and a lot of good ones, so i won't dive back into those, but i'd say, as much as i'd love for her to stay, and as much as i hate to see her go to a rival, united has shown us all that they don't take this team seriously, and so we can't punish players for seeking development elsewhere.
i also think, technically, ona is a better and far less replaceable player than lessi. her impact on the team has been immense, and we leave a big, big hole without her there. i do think lessi is great, and she'll also be missed if we don't replace her, but, ona was a whole other level. lessi was good this season, i love watching her play, but personally i don't think the midfield we play with allows her to get her full potential. she's good, but ona is groundbreaking. i think most united fans would agree on this, and if i'm honest it's giving the people who've turned on lessi a lot of ammo, and maybe the reason for some difference between the treatment of her and ona.
in the same way that arsenal fans switched on lessi towards the middle of the season, then switched back when they found out she was likely going there, some of the united fans who used to defend her have now seem to have switched too.
arsenal fans i can give the benefit of the doubt for saying she 'doesnt score that much' if they're only looking at stats, but for united fans to start using the same point is baffling to me. i'm not sure how you could be a united fan and think that the only thing less brings to the table is goals, when her style of play is clearly so much more than that.
as much as it sucks, i can't fault the players for deciding to move on, and i can't fault the fans being upset. i get it, i am too. they're great players and great people, we don't want to lose them. but like you say anon, the different treatment i absolutely can fault. calling less a snake, or a money-grabber, senidng her death threats etc.etc. is, in my eyes, way too far past the line of a good football rivalry, especially since anyone with half a brain can tell there's more to it than that. don't get me wrong, i believe rivalry is important, and fun. if i saw less play for arsenal at lsv, i would probably join in with the booing. not out of hate, but because it's fun, and its the done thing, and alessia is a grown woman who would understand that. she'd probably laugh. i'd want her to do badly that one game, and then when she isn't playing my team she can go back to being my favourite. but yeah, the attitudes of certain united fans i do not like at all, and that's what's getting to me about the whole thing.
from my perspective, the club has serious problems - which we've seen countless times in regards to countless other players: letting AG and LJ go, letting Jackie go and then not letting her say goodbye, Skinner's eyeroll at Garcia, the absolute lack of rotation, the slow negotiation with Ona and Lessi, potentialy not being able to keep Mary, signing players like Leon and then shipping them off on loan, VBR being on the bench, and now VBR potentially being shipped off to Italy?? - and so i will absolutely not be blaming any of them who want to leave, childhood club or otherwise, and especially not when it's the two players who have given us so much.
anyone who wants to be a dick can be a dick sure, but like, i just think it's fucking stupid.
Ona and Less will both hold a special place in my heart, regardless of where they are, and I will be supporting them both. I truly don't belive either of them took this decision lightly, and I don't want to hear all the negativity.
