saw a signed first edition of crossroads by jonathan franzen today in the charity shop and i didnt buy it and when i got to the top of the street i immediately regretted it and now im gunna have nightmares until i can make it back to the charity shop and potentially get my hands on it but it was £4.99 for a signed first edition so of course its still not going to be there so now i'm going to have nightmares about it for the rest of my life

For whatever reason, Tim hires Danny as a bodyguard/assistant (unaware of the ghost powers until later). Tim only did it for appearances but hey, Danny is actually really good at his job and understands completely that sometimes, Tim just needs to disappear for a bit and that it just happens to coincide with there being a problem in Gotham. Danny even lets Tim drink all the heavily caffeinated coffee he wants and doesn’t try to limit it like Tam tries to do (considering Danny drinks just about the same amount… (Tam tried to have an intervention, it did not work)). It’s going great…

… then Tim realizes that Danny has been bodyguarding him and secretly assisting him while Tim is out as Red Robin (how does Danny know Tim is Red Robin? Who knows). Eventually, Tim learns to accept it and you know what? Danny is a great partner to have… on the field… behind the scenes, that is definitely what Tim meant…

Then one day, while Tim is drinking the coffee Danny prepared for the both of them, he realizes where they both are and has just one question:

“When did Danny become his roommate?”

When Danny first went missing, Jazz is a little ashamed to admit that it took her as long as it did to figure it out. He never left Amity and both Sam and Tucker were forced to move after the ghost attacks ramped up in their senior year when Danny took the ghost throne.

She’d been in college for a while now too, and while she was busy she should have noticed when her little brother stopped sending her random stuff or asking her for either normal teenage or somewhat concerning advice for things.

By the time she caught wind of it, Danny had already been missing for almost four months.

After exhausting every single lead she could, she finally broke down and decided to use her last most desperate option. Get Wulf to portal her right into the Justice League’s secret base.

Nobody can honestly say that they were expecting a young woman to walk out of a glowing green portal the color of a lazarus pit during a meeting, but everyone was listening very closely by the time she started explaining.

She said her name was Jazz and she was looking for her little brother, a solo operating hero that somehow they didn’t know about before hand, who has been missing for going on four months. Batman starts typing up a missing in action hero report right away knowing that a strong hero has mysteriously vanished.

Phantom picked the absolute worst time to wander late into the meeting room eating a bowl of ramen.

one thing that is fascinating to me about merrill's arc is the way narrative manages to convince a big part of the fandom that she's immature and irresponsible and overall stupid. what we know about merrill and what we actually see on screen is that she successfully avoids possession for 6 years while working closely with a demon, almost every time she participates in some magic/spirit-related discourse she acts calm and confident and has some interesting input, she actively uses her knowledge of dalish lore and tradition to reason with her keeper, and that she actually did make progress with fixing and studying an ancient long forgotten artifact no one knows particularly anything about. but then an old woman who's never been shown to be an undeniably wise and reasonable figure, a guy who got willingly possessed with no awareness of possible consequences and whose whole mindset is still deeply andrastian and a bunch of people who know nothing about magic start judging and doubting her and everyone's like. yeah. she's so fucking dumb.

Sorry i’m home from work now and not done yet another reason why I’m actually pissed off is that George is being treated so fucking badly that obviously people, me included, are going to feel fucking bad for him and hope he’s alright. He shouldn’t have anyone feeling bad for him as HE fucked up, however the reaction is SO FUCKING SEVERE and does not match up AT ALL to what happened that obviously people are going to be like ??? what the fuck.

Crazy ass death threats with tens of thousands of likes, doxxed to the moon and back, removed from Vidcon’s creator list, edited out of Nolan’s video and removed from the Feastable’s IG post, everyone and their mother “taking a stand” against him to make themselves look better, friends unfollowing and deleting any trace of him from their accounts. Like. You would think he did something way fucking worse than what he did. And that’s not even something we should be thinking about!!! Because what matters is that he hurt Caiti!!!! And yet he’s being treated worse than fucking Wilbur! and Illumina! and even PUNZ!!! who has worse fucking allegations against him.

The reaction is not that of people who care about Caiti, or of people who care about victims, or of those who genuinely believe he’s a bad person. This is the reaction of people who just want him to fucking kill himself because they’ve always hated him and his friends and it’s not NORMAL!!!!

I'm still not over how ridiculously intense Cheng Xiaoshi's words were when he first met Lu Guang. Like sweet Christ, was he having to bet a kidney on this amateur basketball match to make rent?

I get that he's like 16 here, and 16 year olds say the awkwardest of things because that's the age most of us haven't realised we're not the next great philosopher of our time. But Cheng Xiaoshi, boy, TONE IT DOWN HERE, YOU'RE COMING ON WAY TOO STRONG!!

What hole in Lu Guang's life caused him to hear this and go "...Yes." He heard this and then looked like a newborn baby deer staring in awe at something calmingly delightful like HOW DID THIS WORK???

Lu Guang later said what drew him to Cheng Xiaoshi the most was how sincere he was.

Was Lu Guang experience of trying to call Cheng Xiaoshi cringe, and Xiaoshi's response of "I am not cringe, but I am having fun because I got to hang out with you," so powerful that it just shattered some deep-rooted, jaded attitude Lu Guang had been fostering up until now?

Like was this Lu Guang's equivalent of Nagi's awakening in Blue Lock?!
