I know it's impossible to know, and that diagnostic concepts change over time...but I do wonder how many ancient Romans were what we'd now call autistic. What was it was like for them to grow up in that (very ableist, very toxically-masculine) culture, and would we think of certain Romans differently if we knew they'd been dealing with that?

#he's so floppy recently and I hope it's just the heat. I think wamr weather makes everyone floppy and loungy #a beauntifulle boye...#cats #STILL working on posting some drafts. finishing new poll adventure.. other things... It's just hard with the weather and other things going #on. I've had a few more doctors appointments and other things to do recently that have to be done in a time limit #so I hvae to use my extremely limited energy working on that instead of doing the things I'd really rather do. :T #Main focuses though are keeping up better with doing and posting costumes + sculptures as main creative things. at least finishing the #main poll adventure story. Reworking the game I kind of abandoned for a few years. keeping up with game videos and a few other side things.#Especially the game though. I've been in a really worldbuildy mood recently. I just wish that was easier to manifest into something. I've #now put the worldbuilding slideshow reading video on pause for a while because it's SOOO long to do #and I think I should prioritize making games and stuff instead. but still other things. IT's just kind of like.. I have a whole world and #everything very built and planned out but now.. what do I do with it? what's the best way to share that? factual slideshows just going over #the information like a dictionary? make it into a game? write short stories? do art attached to the world? etc. etc. ?? There are so many #potential avenues I end up kind of flip flopping between them a lot because none really seem more beneficial than the others and they all #seem equally enjoyable and also equally hard so. It's like?? I guess just do what the hell ever and hope I made the right choice in terms o #cost benefit and reward for my time lol. ANYWAY.. Also why I'm in my 'trying to make friends' era still because I think having other creat #ive friends can help you find direction like.. people will meet each other and then go 'hey lol just for fun lets start a project together!#and then like 5 years later it's genuinely become something. etc. having other people to help weed out ideas and start small creative teams #together and etc. I feel is a very beneficial part of networking or whatever but also I have the social capacity of a stale bread roll and #am also inherently unrelatable to seemingly a majority of people due to my hermit wizard swag (detachment from general society and hyper #focus on fantasy worlds in my head gjhghj) so trying to meet people as a grown adult with social issues is Very easy and fun (it is not)#even very basic things like my core communication style is so incompatible with a lot of people it's like.. hhhh... People in this modern #age have GOT to stop being afraid of phone calls and/or text that is longer than 6 paragraphs. Work with me here. I WANT to talk to you. bu #I do not know what your emojis mean and it's physically impossible for me to type less than 85 sentences. please.. hhjgjgb #AAANYWAY!! ngl the ao3 thing got me fucked because i've been getting more and more distrusting of the idea that things on the internet will always be accessible and i've been archiving media i like onto cds/dvds and stuff but i just haven't gotten around to downloading fics and i'm actually really upset about the idea of never being able to access certain stories again and the general fear that an online space of creativity would be lost. like the reports all say that it's being managed and the site will only be down for a few weeks at most but like STILL.

#i think this is also hitting me because i read this one fic that helped me break up with my most recent ex #and it wasn't a finished fic and the last chapter just came out and i didn't get a chance to read it yet #because i've been busy #so like. damn!#like i'm actually okay i'm just having some minor anxiety over this #i choose to believe everything will turn out fine but! yknow how anxiety works #i don't talk abt it a lot on here but fanfic was and is actually very formative to me and it's a great way of self expression to me 😅#i don't fandom post a lot on this blog bc i wanna avoid discourse but im balls deep in so many fandoms on a lot of side blogs

u know since every library doesnt have every book or multiple copies of it and often you might not even be able to request something on short notice - it would be cool if there were like a public citizens catalog where like parallel to the library if someone owns a book that you want to read you could just borrow/exchange/get it for free from them. like ik we have those "free library" boxes around my town but those are often books people just don't care to have anymore and its not like you can easily get a book you actively are trying to read. anyways I don't really have coding skills but it would be cool. at least I might a list of the physical books I own and see if my friends want to make their own and share it w me.... 🤔

#like some of the books i've wanted to read recently i'm buying from bookshop.org cuz only 1 public library in my whole state will have the #book or something and i just don't want to add more screentime by reading on my phone/computer #but after i'm finished like i want to either donate them to the library or keep them still to reread a few times and absorb the material.#but after that its just sitting there and what if someone i know has a book i want!!
