In many ways, you were different from his friends.
You were polite, kind, and willing to help others- basically what everyone thinks of when they picture an ideal Hufflepuff student. Not saying that James, Sirius, and Peter were rude or anything like that, but there was just something gentle about you that Remus saw. As for them? They’re a rambunctious mess, a bit rough around the edges.
Remus found it quite charming, you try your best to blend in, be a wallflower so your student life at Hogwarts would be smooth sailing. Although, to Remus, no matter what you do, you stand out effortlessly. When he first expressed his interest in you, you were hesitant and cautious. You thought it was just one of the many other pranks that he and the other marauders had planned on other students.
“Go out with me, Y/n?” Remus asked nervously, after a week of him approaching and befriending you.
“Erm…” You looked around, making sure he was talking to you. “Are you talking to me?”
So, he did everything he could to make sure you know that he’s serious about you and that you won’t feel anything but that.
Slowly but surely, the hesitance and doubts started to go away as you got to know him better. You learned that he loves chocolates, his eyes would light up when you bring him chocolate frogs whenever you and your friends would go to Hogsmeade. His eyes having literal stars as he took in the sight of you, and how his laugh would make you smile as he whisks you away from your common rooms to hang out (snog) in the Astronomy tower and bringing you back just before the clock strikes twelve.
You bring out the best versions of yourself when you’re both with each other. Remus helps you to be a bit more adventurous, making you try things you never even thought of doing, such as sneaking out past curfew. Remus was your many firsts.
Remus found himself being more patient and calmer than before, maybe your nature rubbed off on him like how his rubbed off on you.
“Moony, are you smoking… you know?”
Remus nearly choked on his breakfast one morning. He turns to look at Sirius, eyes wide with shock. “Just why would you think that Padfoot?!” Sirius shrugged, putting his arms up as if he was surrendering. “Geez, just asking a question, don’t get your knickers in a twist, Moony.”
“I’m not smoking, or doing whatever you think I’m doing, you sod.”
Remus grumbles while James just laughed, “Alright, there’s our original Moony.”
“You seem calmer recently, Moons. We were just curious.” Peter shrugs, taking a bite out of his pancake, Remus raised his eyebrow. “Oh really?”
“Yeah, it was like you turned into a saint. You don’t even scold James and I anymore for our boxers strewn across the floor- “
“Hey! Shut it, what if Lily hears?!”
“Mind you, we are in the great hall eating breakfast, Padfoot.”
“I’m just saying!”
“Quiet down, people are looking.”
It was just a matter of time when your friends found out you’re dating Remus and managed to keep it under their noses for a few months.
“Y/n! How could you? We trusted you!” El, one of your friends shrieks dramatically, plopping down her bed, making you furrow your eyebrows. “Erm… is there something going on?”
“of course there is! Why did you keep it a secret?” She whined, pulling you next to her.
“Keep what a secret?”
“You and Lupin!”
“Oh, erm…” You trailed off, trying to fight the blush forming on your face. Your other friends started to tease you, “So it’s true!”
“Yes.” You confirmed with a nod, your hands over your face as a poor attempt to cover your blush.
“Alright, we need to know if the bloke is good enough to date our Y/n.”
It quickly became known to other students within your house that you were dating the witty marauder. Of course, this kind of news spreads like wildfire across Hogwarts; even reaching the three marauders who were in the dark with their Moony’s love life. They need to meet you as soon as possible and didn’t even let Remus have peace and quiet until he asked you if you were okay about it.
“So, they found out about us.” Remus bit his lip, looking nervously. You blinked, “Well, it was bound to happen, my friends were… vocal about it.” She chuckled as Remus cracked a grin.
“Tell me about it.”
“I’m guessing they want to meet me?”
Remus nodded, sighing. “Sorry angel. I tried to tell them- “
“It’s alright, honey. I figured it would be good after my friends also demanded you to meet them.”
To say that you were terrified would be an understatement; you felt like you were going to throw up in your shoes, break out in a cold sweat, or even stumble because damn it- your legs are shaking, as if you’re going to collapse under your own weight.
Well yeah, you were the one who kinda brought it up, but it still didn’t lessen the nerves you have. You wanted them to at least be civil towards you and to recognize your relationship with their friend. You were thinking of what outfit you should wear a week prior to the meeting, and you carefully planned out how you would respond to the possible questions they’d have. Call it over thinking, but you were just preparing for every single possible outcome.
“Alright, I can do this.” You chanted, looking at the mirror then at your watch, only 30 minutes before Remus arrives in the Hufflepuff common room. You checked your hair, smoothing it out as you checked yourself for the umpteenth time.
“Merlin, Y/n. You’re acting like you’re meeting the Prime Minister of Magic.” El commented, shaking her head. “You’ll be fine, if they don’t like you… then they better prepare themselves for a Hufflepuff’s wrath.”
Remus casts a glance worriedly at you, fixing your black and yellow scarf on your neck. “Darling, it isn’t that cold out, you don’t have to practically cover your face with it.” He chuckles, kissing your reddening cheeks as you huffed, “It would be a great help when I meet your friends.” Grinning, he pinched your cheeks, making you glare at him.
“They’ll love you. Don’t worry too much, yeah?” He whispers, before giving your forehead a kiss, at this point, Remus and the cold weather’s mission is to make you look like a tomato.
You gulped nervously, fiddling with the ends of the scarf. “But… I…”
To be honest, you are kind of expecting them to be disappointed when they meet you. A Hufflepuff girl, fairly average, wallflower, and a goody-two-shoes. Quite boring, in your opinion. Remus’s gaze hardened, as if scolding you. “I know what’s going on your pretty mind, darling. Just be yourself.” Squeezing your hand in his, you made your way to the Gryffindor Tower and to the dorm room he and his friends share.
“There you are, Moony!” James smiled as he opened the door to their room, his smile widening as he casts, a glance at you. “You must be Y/n! Come in!” He excitedly ushers both of you inside the room, you gave Remus’s hand a squeeze, he looks at you and squeezes back. You took a glance at their room, there was Sirius laying down lazily on his bed, Peter sitting on a random beanbag on their dorm room, and Lily sitting on her boyfriend’s bed, beaming a smile in which you returned; albeit a little more nervously.
“Any second further than that and I’d thought Moony was lying about finally getting a girl, isn’t that right, wormtail?” Sirius grinned, teasing Remus before standing up and giving you a hug. Which made you widen your eyes and stiff up, but recovering quickly to hug him back, pulling away after a few moments.
“Nice to meet you, love. I’m Sirius.”
You smiled shyly, “Nice to meet you too, I’m Y/n.”
“Remus, tell me again how’d you manage to get someone as gorgeous as she is?”
Remus rolled his eyes, “Sod off, Pads.” Sirius just laughed, smiling as he looks at you and Remus together.
“Hi Y/n, I’m Peter. Nice to meet you.” Peter smiled politely, holding out his hand which you took, shaking it. “Nice to meet you too, Peter.”
Lily smiled, pointing at her boyfriend. “That one’s James! Don’t pay attention to him- “ cue a protest from James, who’s pouting “-and I’m Lily, so glad there’s another girl in the group! They’re driving me crazy!” She practically bounced off her feet and hugged you, making you stumble, and Remus put a hand on your back to support you.
Okay, this wasn’t what you expected. Quite far actually.
Your heart fills with warmth as you allowed a smile to appear on your face, looking around, seeing how they felt so comfortable with you already. Sirius was busy bothering Peter, who shoos him away, complaining that he’s being annoying even when you’re with them. “Have you got any shame left with you, Padfoot?”
“Hm, last time I checked none.”
James was trying to get your opinion on how to pull off one of their pranks, and Lily scolding him not to drag you onto his shenanigans.
Remus pulls you close to him, wrapping his arms around your waist, he whispers. “Welcome to the family, darling.”

He'd encourage you to take a break until things cool over. Only problem is he doesn't know when that'd be, and the music industry is competitive. You don't have time to be on a break. People could forget about you.
Under any other circumstance, he'd be happy for you. Not many people can make it in the music industry. There are tons of people who have big plans but settle for less.
In any other circumstance he'd listen to your songs, spread the word about your concerts, buy your merch cause he's not in debt, even attend a few concerts.
Now though, he's uptight and worried. Every concert you have he's worried will be your last. Any fan meet you have he's worried will end in death.
I honestly think he'd try to actively avoid anything that has to do with your career. It's a constant reminder that you're doing the exact opposite of what he's asking you to and you're putting yourself in danger. i suffer from panic disorder and usually nothing can calm me down i just have to work through the panic attacks and breathing tricks don’t help. the only thing that’s ever worked is when i was in the middle of one and someone grabbed my face and put our foreheads together and kept saying “i’m here i’m not letting you go and i see you” and had me repeat things like “i’m safe i’m with you”. so i’m thinking say you’re at an ateez concert backstage bc you’re dating a member and for some reason at one point you get overwhelmed and start having an attack. you know the boys will be coming off of stage soon for a quick break so you start walking away so you can panic away from everyone but your boyfriend notices and refuses to get back on stage until he’s helped you thru the attack (like i mentioned above). i’ve been having yunho brainrot recently but also with mingi’s own struggles with anxiety i can see him in this scenario too. one of them would be great!

The boys have just finished their practice and everyone is getting fresh one by one for getting their makeup done. You are sitting with San as he is talking nonsense about his cat. But your eyes on the way Yunho is going to enter. It has been one year since you guys started dating and your life has become heaven from then.
Yunho is the boy you always thought he was seeing him on screen but other than that, he is so protective and cautious about your needs. He notices the little things you do, he is also good at remembering dates, he is good at calming you down whenever you need to. Even the boys have accepted you like you are their family member and that's why you are always with them in the backstage whenever you can when their concert occurs.
You hype them up on stage and off. Everyone knows about your relationship with him, without the fans. You haven't revealed it officially yet as it can effect on his career. He insisted but didn't because Korean fans can get kinda toxic regarding idol relationship.
"There you are," you look at him all dressed in white, hair still wet and a broad smile beaming on his face.
"San, will you leave my girlfriend alone for God's sake? Wherever I'm not around, you are around her like a lost puppy," he says taking your hand, pulling you towards him and your forehead hit his chest.
"Calm down, big man. Not everyone wants to take your girlfriend away. I was having a cat talk with your girlfriend who happens to be my friend too," he says.
"Whatever, piss off," he says and San leaves rolling his eyes.
He kisses your forehead and stares at you, "If I didn't have to dance now, I would do forbidden things with you right now."
"Seriously? You have a concert to attend and you are talking about sex?" You hit his chest playfully and his smile gets bigger, "I'll miss you."
"I'll be some feet away," You tell him and hug him but the hug doesn't last longer as he gets a call from manager for doing his makeup.
After he leaves, you sit there alone. You are not allowed in the makeup room as Yunho gets distracted a lot. You think of roaming around for a while and have some chips.
As you walk around the corridor, you hear some girl talking about you, "I don't understand how Yunho is so obsessed with her. She isn't even that pretty let alone rich."
Another male voice says, "Even I wouldn't fuck her but Yunho seems like he wants to gift her stars. That's too shitty."
They are the staff, you don't see their face neither recognize them but their small talk was enough to make your heart heavy.
You've always thought about what have you done to have someone like Yunho in your life. He is an international star where you are just a normal college girl. Nowhere you deserved him because you are not as pretty as the girls who would give their life to become his.
But he chose you, wanted you, cared for you. Why? You don't even deserve it, you are not even a good person. You were awful to your friends and family, they all dislike you for your smart mouth as they said. You always talked a lot and they were all shit.
But Yunho always loved how clumsy and talkative you were. How lost you were always in your own world and that's how he became a part of it too.
But your hands start trembling at the thought that you are a burden, a distraction for Yunho. No one is going to accept you as his girlfriend because you are no match compared to him. You are nothing and he is everything. Every staff, every fan, every person he knows and doesn't know love him. On the other hand, people hate you, never loved you as much as he did. Then? How did you become someone worthy of love by him?
You feel so overwhelmed that your mind starts getting filled with toxic conversation of how undeserving you are of love, care and warmth. How you shouldn't live and how you are not good for Yunho. He is going to get rid off you too because you are too much to tolerate. Your head become a mess with thoughts colliding with each other.
You tried breathing, thinking about something else but your heart aches and your knees feel weak. You hold on to a railing as you whimper trying not to cry out loud, you grab your stomach as it hurts too much. Breathing comes hard for you as your body sink on the floor.
There their opening time is up but Yunho wants to say goodbye to you and you haven't even hyped them yet. He asks everyone where you are and starts looking for you. They tell him to start the opening but his heart keeps telling you that you're in need of him. So he follows and finally finds your body curled around a railing of a corridor as you are having hiccups and aches around your body.
"Oh my God, darling," he sits in front of you and tries to make you face him but you keep looking down.
"No... don't "
"Please look at me."
"I... can't," you feel embarrassed and shameful because of the person you are. People will think you want attention, you are ruining his day.
But Yunho picks you up crossing your legs around his waist as you keep your chin inside the crook of his neck.
He keeps his hand on your back patting but you're still trembling as he keeps you on the couch of the resting room telling everyone to leave.
He cups your face wiping as much tears as he can, "You're safe with me. Look at me, it's me. Your Yunpup. Baby."
"Let me go please. Go join them. You're getting late," your words sound so hoarse as they come out barely.

He did it again and you are feeling relaxed, "Listen to me."
"Hm."
"Leaving you will be like burning my soul, tearing a limb from my own body. So, don't even think about it. I love you sweetheart and I'm always going to love you like there is no tomorrow. Do you understand me?"
You nod when another roll of emotion washes over you making you cry.
"Promise me one thing."
"Yes?"
"Whenever you feel like this, come running to me wherever I am. Don't you dare break this promise, okay?"
You nod again and he pecks you, "I love you the most and I'm not letting it go for anything else. You have made my life so much easier and happier than anything else. What will I do with reputation and wealth if my loml is not with me?" The way he is holding you in his arms right now, he is making you feel like you are a tiny baby.
You smile hearing him saying those as he pecks you again, "Get ready to stay up all night after I finish my concert. I'm dying to touch you."
"Shut up, pervert," you say standing up making him chuckle.
"You are my nicotine, baby girl," You stand there stunned as he gets ready and leaves for his performances.
As you stand in the crowd, you see him spotting you right away as he sends you a flying kiss mouthing, "Ready for tonight?" Washing over your panic, anxiety and insecurities.

This is a huge accomplishment.
In the entertainment industry, it’s about Acting-Business and I don’t pay that much attention to the business side of it (brand deals, ads, etc.) even if I find it interesting. But this is a huge accomplishment. It was clearly coming when they flew him for Piaget 150th anniversary and all the posts they made about him.
European brands are usually more cautious than their American counterparts for instance when choosing global ambassadors so this is a bold choice, in my opinion. Bold because Apo has fans globally but isn’t globally known yet, do you get my meaning? And it also shows their trust in Apo. Ella Richards, Lee Junho are safe choices.
Apo is the choice coming from the heart, they saw his personality, his uniqueness, he looks like himself and nobody else, he follows the trends that suits him and this is basically what Piaget represents as well.
This kind of deal doesn’t happen without the brand studying and following closely the celebrity. They noticed how he conducted himself, the fact that he was scandals free, etc. And of course, because it’s about business, they paid attention to his fanbase and their support.
That’s why you shouldn’t pay attention to haters, they don’t matter, brands don’t care about them. They can say whatever they want, brands look at the reputation, the love, unconditional support a celebrity has. They know Apo’s fans would show up for him, will hype and trend everything he does. They also trust the fact that their association with him will make him bigger than he already is. The news will be in entertainment, and business platforms and people would wonder who the heck is this talented, charming, beautiful man from Thailand.
You bet I’m proud. Also. I don’t forget that this man with a darker skin from Thailand has just been named the global ambassador for one of the most luxurious and famous brands in the world. And I hope he is an inspiration for every single dark-skinned young girl and boy in Thailand not to change themselves to fit in the industry but to know they can thrive as well because they’re damn beautiful.

I’m just saying everyone seems less than hyped about Casey being in his early 20s but if Jr is in his 20s that means he probably is the most cannon ‘Peepaw’ we will ever get and we aren’t ready for it. Have you ever tried raising siblings after running away from home? Same vibes
Casey trying to figure out how to be a role model to the men/women that raised him. Age difference not being huge but the experiences skyrocketing him to a different level regardless. Trying to still grow up himself while also figuring out what that even MEANS to him. And like. Major PTSD shit someone get him in therapy.
My Personal examples/headcannons:
Raph getting his angry streak going after being ‘demoted’ while Casey has only known him as big and doting/protective. Helping him get his frustration out the best way he knows how, the way Future!Raph taught him being a parallel he’s just not ready for. Maybe a bit of self destructing being fueled on both ends?
Leonardo figuring out the Mr. Leader BS and not wanting to ask for help, and Casey KNOWING he’s struggling because he probably did back in the last timeline too. Wanting to offer help but being shot down by Leo’s ego and overconfident facade.
Donatello trying to ask him about what happened in the other timeline while Casey is torn between telling them everything but also still wondering about parallels and not messing things up. Letting bits and pieces fall out because you know. That was his LIFE he’s trying to not talk about. Of course some things are gonna slip.

Being STUPIDLY paranoid about Michelangelo doing anything mystic related because he watched Mikey age and burn himself away with his own magic.
Crazy cautious around Draxum because of it. Draxum encouraging the power while all Casey can think of is His Mikey’s smiling face before he disintegrates.
Idk what splinter’s spiel would be. I have a general assumption he wouldn’t live long enough to make influence on Casey. Maybe helps Casey understand why the turtles raised him in a certain way.
Cassandra and he would keep such a far distance from each other for a VERY long time. Both having to be slowly introduced to each other like cats.
COMMANDER ONIEL still trying to figure her shit out, and Casey being her ABSOLUTE HYPE MAN because he KNOWS her ass can do it.

it just two episodes so I’m not really too harsh. Animation looks really good, but man no wonder this took 4-5 years they had 4 animation studios working on it plus bentos joint company princess bento that’s operates Australia. So you got bento+SH+toon city and princess bento yeah their budget got fucked
the writing drag this show and it’s so confusing. there’s 6 fucking minutes of exposition dump and lore in the first episode. This is not welcoming to newcomers, especially adult animation you never exposition the shit out the audience with a bedtime story unless you’re target demographic are kids. Character spend so much sitting on couches and talking about nothing. Adam and Valentino are the absolute worse characters but I think Valentino is more egregious since he was hyped so much and he was the biggest letdown and he’s voice is awful I’m sorry to VA.
So what is Charlie’s goal again? Is to fix overpopulation by redeeming demons and sending them to heaven? Give demons a second chance? Or make her mom proud, and empower demons through song? All of the above? Why send demons to heaven when her mom was all about rising above heaven? She is kinda annoying, I hate how stupidly naive and childish she is but I guess that her flaw and her development will be that she has to grow up, but I don’t want to do the writers job where you’re given nothing and have to fill in the blanks.
So Angel moved out but he still works for Valentino, but the show is making it seem like he quit and is hiding out in the hotel but is gonna return to Valentino soon? Why is so easy for Angel to leave and ignore Valentino? Oh wait I forgot it’s because Valentino is a fucking idiot, literally just Stella 2.0. I just hate everything that come out of Angels mouth I forgot how annoying being sexual doesn’t mean witty or confident and just because he’s a porn star doesn’t mean he has to always sexual harass men, and it’s not even the good flirty, it’s bad flirty, but I know they’re gonna go hard on his musical scenes.
I miss pilot Vaggie she still supported Charlie but was also very cautious and a bit controlling but it made her more interesting and flawed and set up dynamics her instead of just being supportive gf aka Millie 2.0. Husk was barely in the episodes, nifty and that cat thing are just there to be cute.
Vox and Vel are really entertaining but they put up with Valentino when be’s the dumbest and least incompetent out the trio and Vox hates being around him. He’s duet with alastor is really fun and kinda wish he had a show on these two than Charlie.
The music is alright not something I’d listen to on Spotify but it’s alright. Overall it was ok, there’s just no charm to it
yeah i agree with most of these points.
animation- shifts a lot between good and bad for me and i think that's mostly due to the over-designed characters, there have been problems keeping them on-model ever since the pilot, but like you say about it being hot-potatoed between 4-5 studios juggling it, it'd be no surprise the budget got fucked, and to me the studio juggling also checks out with how varied the animation is.
writing- agree, i only ever saw the hazbin pilot and occasionally learned tidbits of lore from the critical community and i was still sitting there clueless, i can only imagine what it's like for newcomers who don't even know a *little* of the lore/history.
Charlie's goal- "Why send demons to heaven when her mom was all about rising above heaven" is such a great point. Charlie's goals and motives were so confusing to me bc i didn't really see a connection. i guess you could say this is Charlie's way of continuing her mom's goal of "protecting our people" even tho Lilith seemed to be against Heaven while Charlie is trying to work with Heaven--but as i said previously Charlie also doesn't really seem to "like" her people, as we see her repeatedly show disgust or awkwardly try to laugh off her discomfort and only shows an endearing adoration when they're showing specific change/potential.
It seems like she's just extremely naively optimistic, but bc of her aversion it comes off kinda disingenuous or fake nice? she legit seems to act more like a disillusioned church-goer who thinks they're helping you than a kind princess of hell who loves her subjects despite their "depravity" ig? and like you said maybe that'll be part of her character arc, but it def feels weird so far.
Angel & Valentino- yeah the entire dynamic with them is just weird. they're supposed to be a pimp and his prostitute, but why is Val texting/voicemailing Angel like a mopey ex? Val is allegedly supposed to be this big abusive threat but he's just kind of there, and Vox just calms him down really easily? and showing the affect his verbal abuse has on Angel felt so sudden/forced in (yeah those of us "familiar" w/their dynamic know it's there--this is considering the media as a new watcher, that's stuff you're supposed to write into a show for new audiences.) i'm back-and-forth on Angel's hypersexuality/sexual harassments of other male characters bc it's true some victims can act as he does, and it makes him more believable as an asshole in hell moreso than the others, but i also don't trust Viv to handle the complicated subject of abuse with grace / respect knowing her history, and i'm already worried after she had him say his body was "made for exploiting"
Pilot Vaggie- again with the disclaimer i barely remember the pilot; in the first 2 eps Vaggie was weird. idk how to feel about it. i know you said she seemed like 100% supportive Millie 2.0--but to me i couldn't get a full grip on their dynamic. it felt like it kind of swayed back and forth between full support and skeptical support but it all went by so fast i can't make a clear distinction, so you may be right.
The VVVs- agreed that Vox and Vel were entertaining. Val was just kinda there and seemed like neither Vox or Vel wanted anything to do with him, what do they get out of Val being there? does he bring them money or power or anything?? Vox and Vel are stronger characters on their own w/o Val having to be there imo.
Music- i honestly have like...no real opinion of the music. it didn't "wow" me, but it didn't necessarily make me cringe either. it just kinda was there and was fine. i honestly might've like...unintentionally mentally checked-out for some of them. i think Vox & Al's was *probably* the best--and i say that loosely bc, again, everything went by so fast--but it also had me kind of tilting my head like why does Al even care about dishing out "the tea" about this guy?
i *guess* making your big debut "i'm back" speech after being gone for 7 years right when someone is shit-talking you is a good power move, but it just felt oddly petty or "beneath" someone like Alastor to me--i think it would've made more sense if there was a bit in the song where Alastor took some callers on the radio who asked him what he thought about Vox and *then* he makes some casual remark about how little he means to him. idk, just my impression.

Why does Julian need to get his suits made by Garak if the holosuite can produce clothes - or are all of these costumes his valet is bringing out ones he's bought and somehow saved in the programme?
"Nerys, please." There's just something about the way he says this. He's not acting angry like he is at Garak, he's seemingly more cautious about telling her off for being here? I guess he's starting to think it's not Kira?
Odo going "That sounded like Kira!" even though she sounds Russian... Something something universal translator? Or he's just so attuned to her?
Julian is so pissed with this turn off events disrupting everything into something lethal. He just wanted a fun time

"Honey, will you grant me one last request and take off those glasses?" Yes Garak, that eye roll is what we're all thinking... Julian's acting is so ridiculously earnest XD
"Kiss the girl, get the key - they never taught me that in the Obsidian Order." Garak is being so unusually frank! Is this part of his ploy to win back Julian from the game? Trying to remind him that I was a real spy, you know, my dear doctor?
The waver in Julian's voice as he says "If you call for the exit, you might kill Sisko and the others..." :3
Boy, their argument in the tunnel is such a tense scene, even better than I remember!
"You dream of being a hero because deep down you're not." OUCH. The worst thing is, Julian probably agrees.
"That's all about to end now isn't it?" - bit of London accent sneaking in there
"It's working just as you planned! You've done it, Doctor." "Yes.But somehow I didn't expect to win."
Oh I love everything about this sceeeeene
"Lunch tomorrow?" "Of course. But why don't we have it at your place, in Hong Kong?" I DO NOT REMEMBER THAT LINE. WOW. GAY.
Okay, yeah, this is the point where they get together imo.
I mean everyone knows this episode is fantastic, but also, THIS EPISODE IS BLOODY FANTASTIC AND I LOVE IT TO BITS.

y/n’s best friend’s reactions and the messages from Lando are the perfect dichotomy of how I would be tempted to talk to her….. two v different tactics of calling homegirl out on being so .. idk the best way to phrase it.. pre-defensive??? The triple message to Lando at the end of their convo really said more about how she feels about max than anything else she’s said about him in the last like five chapters. When she lied about why she was “only going” on this date he breezed past the comment to ask for fucking chorizo I KNOW she was FUMING!!!!!! Like I could feel it in my bones that she wanted him to do or say something. Now though I’m worried that something inside her kinda snapped and she’s either gonna keep seeing metaphor and pushing the envelope until she gets a reaction from max OR she’s gonna go out of her way to pretend extra hard (harder than she usually does) that she doesn’t give a shit what max thinks of her and her love life. I have a lot of faith in you and where you’ll eventually take this plot I’m just gonna go ahead and beg you in advance that if there ends up being some kind of major miscommunication in the plot it has to be realistic !! Nothing grinds my gears worse than adults ruining their entire lives because of a miscommunication that even a 12 year old could solve on their own. Like I understand miscommunication tropes but sometimes they go so far that they defy very basic logic and I can’t watch y/n and max turn into complete idiots.. sorry that was definitely a personal preference rant - do what u gotta do it’s your story Lmao I’ve just been burned one too many times by fics that claim they’re about whole ass adults then have them act like 6 year olds for the sake of a plot point and I can’t see max doing that. I can kiiiiinda see y/n doing that but not unconsciously. She’d know what she was doing for sure.
No I 100000% get you. Nothing drives me crazier than people making whole life decisions based on the outcome of a conversation they never even had. Like, Y/N decides Max is in love with GP and takes a job in NYC and leaves without telling Max who then decides that the last 6 years meant nothing to her for no reason and they don’t talk until Lando locks them in a disused shopping container. Like, you two have shared everything for all these years be serious you’re not throwing that away over not even talking. I definitely see Max and Y/N being people that even if they’re dancing around the real conversation that they need to have, they’ll always be communicating with each other. I think that’s so much more true to the relationship they have and the people they are than freaking out and not talking to each other.
I think the thing with what Lando and her other friend were saying was their needling was fair but also to her it felt a little bit like a taunt. Because she has everyone in her life acting like she’s doing something a bit sideways by dating someone other than Max, acting like she owes him sensitivity around the issue, kind of hyping her up that there’s a big “caution” label on this situation and then she goes out of her way to be cautious and it turns out it wasn’t needed. I think it made her feel a bit stupid, almost like they’d hyped her that her love life was SO important to Max and it just wasn’t. So she’s like, please stop making me feel like this is a thing because it’s clearly not. And then similarly with Max, she was a bit like, I went out of my way to diminish this date/situation for your comfort, and it turns out you never cared in the first place. I think the whole thing just stung her ego a bit.

being cautious is fine, but barça hyped up this game as “alexia and frido’s return” if they didn’t think she was ready to play (which is fine, maybe she’s not!) then they shouldn’t have called her up. they’re acting just like the national team they got pissed at if they’re calling up a player who’s not ready lol. i’m v happy for frido’s return though 🫶🏻
it definitely seemed like they were planning on having both of them return today. all i can think is that something must have happened for them to change their minds about today being the day, or maybe it was only ever going to be one of them returning today, and they were waiting to see where the rotation was needed.
it’s also annoying because now anything anyone is talking about is ale not playing, and not frido’s return, which is so unfair to her.
hope she can enjoy it, and i hope ale gets to enjoy hers on sunday too 🩷

MALMAISON MEDIA SALON SOIRÉE 16: LE CHIRURGIEN DE L’EMPIRE (2020)
1. The Introduction
SURPRISE!!! Hello, Neighbors, and welcome to Malmaison Media Salon! I did promise you to make a surprise review and here it is!!!
Time for obscure shorts to get the spotlight!
Okay, story time. Most people in Napoleonic community like Larrey. A lot. I’m one of them for a lot of reasons (my interest in anatomy and medicine included), but he and many other surgeons remain on the obscure side of the spectrum when it comes to media, which I find to be unfair. 
So, convinced that there must be something out there at least about Larrey, I decided to do some digging and, lo and behold, found this movie on YouTube (in French with English subtitles). That really was like opening a treasure chest that might be containing a trap or two.
I felt excited about the fact that Larrey has something about him, but also a bit cautious about the quality of the movie. Luckily, I enjoyed it, but more on that later.
As promised, this review is dedicated to @amypihcs and @kaxen , but I’d like to include a dedication to the equally wonderful @tairin , my first friend in the Napoleonic community (all of the community is amazing btw).
Okay, this review is going to be relatively short, so let’s begin, shall we?
2. The Summary
The short in question only tells a snippet of Larrey’s story and shows him during the Battle of Waterloo.
Here’s the official IMDb summary:
“1815 Waterloo, whilst the soldiers of the Emperor Napoleon fight with desperation, a man braves all danger to come to their aid with an ambulance. On this very day, too close to the enemy lines, Dominique Larrey rides towards his destiny and posterity.”
It might sound glorifying to some people, but not to me. Medical staff doesn’t get acknowledged nearly as often as they should, but let’s see how well was this homage done.
3. The Story
Despite only being 10 minutes long, the movie does a pretty good job of showcasing Larrey as a character and tells a snippet story that is, well, an actual short story in this context.
(Spoiler alert)
We see Larrey in action from the get go (obviously, because it’s a damn battle), but then he’s informed that more patients need help, rides to save them, is wounded, captured, almost executed and saved by Blucher at the last moment.
So there is a story structure with a beginning and an end, which is very hard to do with only 10 minutes of screen time available, so I do have a lot of respect for those who can tell short stories well.
Even the filler scenes with Larrey’s family aren’t an issue because they do showcase what people think of him and how his job has downsides like missing out on a lot of family time.
My only issue is that the ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, but then there’s text on screen neatly wrapping things up.
4. The Characters
Larrey is an actually flawed character! Yay! Here he’s brave and altruistic but also extremely reckless and stubborn. I liked his quip to an officer demanding to be treated first that he doesn’t care about rank (because triage doesn’t work this way). Also he isn’t a stereotypical today’s manly man and cries when he believes he’s about to be executed, so he does have moments of vulnerability and emotions.
Isaure Larrey has one scene where she’s being a bit of a bratty teenager, but I can understand that she misses her father and is concerned that Hippolyte doesn’t see Larrey often. She’s a teenager and it’s realistic for her to be kind of resentful at times, even though she got too rude and bratty at one point and made me want to punch her.
Blucher is hyped up by German characters as this cruel man who orders the execution of prisoners, but he recognizes Larrey and saves him, so both sides are humanized. It’s also historically accurate so additional kudos!
Elisabeth Larrey clearly loves her husband very much and is upset about Isaure talking smack, which is normal. Elisabeth is the adult so she’s much more understanding about her husband’s occupation, which is fair enough.
5. The Setting
If you’re squeamish about blood, be careful since the movie doesn’t shy away from horrors of war, but the setting actually benefits from that. Nothing is glossed over, even though the amputation isn’t shown so no trigger warnings for the gore.
6. The Acting
Fucking. Excellent. Acting. From. Everyone.
7. The Music
Excellent music, especially during the tenser moments. Really sets the tone!
8. The Conclusion
Please watch this movie. It’s really good and I only have one or two complaints about it. We really need to acknowledge medical staff more often.

Avatar: The Way Of Water🌊🐠
!SPOILER WARNING!
Do not proceed if you haven’t seen the movie yet.
Hi.
So yesterday I saw this little 3 hour and 12 minutes long movie in 3D.
And I gotta say that it is a pearl.
I have to admit that my expectations were high for this movie, and they have been more than satisfied.
James Cameron did it again.
He succeeded in catapulting us in the beautiful world of Pandora, digging deeper into its story by exploring the water Na’vi’s territory and mysteries.
The visuals of this movie are extremely wholesome and captivating, guaranteeing a fully immersive experience.
Metkayina, the territory outside of the riff, and of course the Omaticaya’s forest, that we get to see again, are mesmerising.
But what I really liked about this movie, was the character development of both old and new characters.
Jake has become stronger than before, giving his role as a family leader strong importance.
The strength he and Neytiri have, are inherited by their children, Neteyam, Lo’ak, Kiri and Tuk.
I like this reused trope between Neteyam and Lo’ak of the ambitious older brother and the younger brother that gets often into trouble and is often alone.
I also liked Lo’ak’s interactions with Payakan.
Kiri, on the other hand, is the more cautious sister. I find it interesting that she is Grace’s daughter, and I am curious why she is connected to Eywa and who her father is.
(See? The hype for the third movie is kicking in.)
Then there’s Tuk.
She’s simply the cutest.
I liked the way the family also cares about Spider. He is also an interesting character, because though his hatred for Quaritch and love towards the Sullys, he still rescues him. So I am curious how this will affect his later actions in the future movies.
Then there’s Quaritch….
Nothing to say about him, he’s still an idiot.
I’m telling you, if Lord Beckett from POTC and Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter had a child, it would be him.
(No hate towards Quaritch lovers.)
However I have to say that I am IN LOVE with the water Na’vis.
They are just cool.
Even though Aonung is a bit of d!ck at the beginning.
Tonowari and Ronal are great, him being a good leader and she being the tsahìk.
I also love the girl power in this movie.
(I mean, Kate Winslet and Zoe Saldana RULED).
Also the FEELING between Tsireya and Lo’ak was just so heartwarming.
The sea creatures are all so fascinating, and I am glad that once again they showed us how the harmony between creatures and Na’vis work.
However, I want to admit that although the amount of adrenaline that was given us during the action scenes, they kinda bored me a little.
I’m not really the “long action scene” type.
But generally, I found them entertaining.
Then, what happened to Neteyam was heartbreaking, but I think that it will help the family to strengthen their links between them.
What I would like to add, is that this movie has left me speechless, and in my opinion, it has become worthy of being above its predecessor.

Apologies to some of the warrior fans out there, but I just can't agree with how this fandom treats the sisters as if they did nothing wrong. The sisters are like big cats, even bigger than Bramblestar. They attacked Shadowclan all on their own, not on someone else's territory, but on their own home. Tigerheartstar has every right to want these cats gone, let's not forget that this book takes place near AVOS, the arc where the clans took in a loner and ended up getting hurt. Why would any clan leader trust an outsider's group, especially one that attacked them? There's simply no good reason for it.
Let's not add (I love Squirrel) that Squirrelflight and Leafstar went to that territory and got not just beat up but also kidnapping by the sisters and was allowed to speak because they are shecat's. Side note. It's this fandom claims to hate abusvie ship but like moonsquirrel, ever through that ship will literally is a stockholm syndrome relationship.
Oh, let's not forget that the cat everyone was upset and crying about, Bramblestar, didn't want to be healed after getting injured in a fight with Shadowclan, once again on their territory. If he had healed her, his clan would have seen it as favoritism toward his wife, and his sister in law, as they were against the sisters and the other clans, which wouldn't be good for Thunderclan. I'm not saying his actions were commendable, but no matter which side he chose, the fandom would have criticized it anyway.
sorry but I don't get the hype around the sisters. To me (I was abused by women for almost 10 years, so this hurts me more than probably should) they are abusive, sexist cats who are shouldn't be seen as cats who can't defend themselves or didn't do anything bad

About the ShadowClan thing though I will say we don’t exactly know what happened, each side claims the other attacked first. I am personally more inclined to believe the sisters on this one because their accounts about what happened aren’t second hand and Tigerstar does have motivation to frame the Sisters badly. And despite all their many faults, they seem to be pretty upfront, they don’t seem to be particularly dishonest, they do admit trespassing on the land in the first place after all they’re very upfront about that. But like I said, we don’t know for sure, and we likely never will. It wouldn’t surprise me if ShadowClan attacked first but only after warning the Sisters and telling the Sisters to back off back over the border and then the Sisters standing their ground instead.
I personally feel that if Bramblestar wanted to be cautious and impartial in this situation he should have treated Sunrise and held her prisoner (announcing so to the clan) while consulting StarClan rather than just leave her without treatment for several hours. I personally just think anything is better than leaving her to die, not just morally but diplomatically, rather than be proactive and take any kind of stance or decision he literally just said “StarClan can decide for me, no one do anything while they’re consulted.” He just wasn’t a very good leader in that instance he just shifted all responsibility over to his ancestors.
But yeah the Sisters definitely have a lot of flaws in any case. I find them a very interesting group myself, but they certainly do have issues. I’m hoping at least after what happened with Tree and the death of Moonlight maybe under Snow’s leadership they might be willing to bend the rules a little if toms don’t feel quite ready to leave, probably not given how stubborn and proud they are, but there’s always a bit of hope things might improve with a different matriarch.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO THE BESTEST LADS EVER
that was suuccch a strong start to the issue, the pure excitement stored within beeface was such a delight to see. she sure loves violence and yaknow what, girlboss. let women commit crimes. also her exaggerated movements to show off the differences.. it just shows how hyped she is about it and it was soooo goofy. and it’s so in character and ironic that when it comes to actually hunting reptiles, she’s one of the two who stick back and watch, leaving redpelt to be the one who helps hands on, or i guess paws on.
speaking of redpelt, my BELOVED. her instantly trying to stop conflict between plumstripe and beeface when it rears its head, before giving up and just getting the lesson on the road. i wanna know what was running through her head when she was called thrasher and cormorantpaw’s immediate shocking realization. she seemed pretty nervous about the whole ideal, i think? i wonder if she was gonna rat to cootstorm about pinepaw’s goofing around, or was just gonna gently remind them to cool down? i just. omg redpelt frfr. absolute blorbo. picking her up and putting her in my pocket and running away.
now time for the rambling i’ve been waiting for.. PINEPAW AND CORMORANTPAW. ohhh meee gosh these little guys. their parallels in having these burdens shape their view of the world, cormorantpaw in having a kill to live mindset and pinepaw in knowing that they are walking on the dead (that’s almost a parallel if you think about it, one about ending life and one about knowing the death that comes with it), and how it fills them with their own deep emotions, own stresses, and how they react with what’s around them. the moment i saw it i was like “oh no, cormorantpaw’s gonna accidentally kill one, isn’t he.” and yep. he maimed a lizard. my boy NOOOO. i so feel like that wasn’t intended, especially with how he didn’t kill all, just pure accident, pure instinct by how he was raised. and i’m beginning to feel thrasher also taught him to kill cats, with how excited he got when he caught pinepaw and wanted his pops to know, to be praised for what he was raised to do. i also love how the illusions behind redpelt and cormorantpaw upon the accidental thrashering show one eye for cormorantpaw and none for thrasher. i’ve taken it as cormorant, as a young kit, has begun to be blinded by thrasher’s mindset but still has a childlike innocence, but thrasher has been completely blinded by his desire to kill to live. i know i said this was gonna be a pinepaw and cormorantpaw focused section, but geez i got carried away by my love for cormorantpaw’s lore and character.. that’s probably a good thing, haha. but back to that! cormorantpaw being confused at first before realizing and taking pinepaw’s challenge for a chase, and then as they’re quietly walking back pinepaw admitting that yeah, he really is the best…. these LADS.
almost hoped that asphodelpaw would friendly friendly one. haha. i rate this issue 10 lizard beefaces out of 10
Beeface is an absolute terror to the local reptile populations and she does it just for the thrill. And yeah, she's plenty willing to look cool and knowledgeable, but do actual work? No thank you.
Redpelt was pretty startled by Cormorantpaw calling her Thrasher, but as she doesn't have any context for who that is I think she'd just assume it was someone from his past and not try to interrogate him about it. Redpelt wouldn't chew them out for messing around cause it's really not that serious! Beeface made a bigger deal out of it than it was, but Redpelt still wants to remind them to be cautious and aware of their surroundings out in the wastes. But kids will be kids, and she respects that.
EHEHH I LOVE all your thoughts on Cormorant and Pine so much... my boys... I'm also really glad you like Cormorant's lore!! It's been really fun for me to write his backstory and I'm super excited to get deeper into it.

Predictions and wishes for episode 7x05 based on stills and leaks. I won’t say anything explicit about the leaks and it’s all basically exactly what we already know. (Do not send me more leaks)
About HenRen:
New baby, a girl (if they’re keeping that the same as last season). Madney gives Jee’s old stuff. They talk about what it’s like having a baby girl around. I think Hen will be nervous about having a daughter, since she was really attached to Nia and had to let her go back to her mom, so maybe that’s what she and Bobby are talking about— something about loving your kids, but never forgetting the ones you’ve loved before.
What I think would be really interesting, though I doubt it’ll happen, is if somehow there was a mixup and they thought their new daughter was like 8 months and she’s actually 8 years old. Or something like that. To hit the “you don’t know me,” part of the episode. But that would also just align with them meeting a new part of their family that they don’t know yet. I’m very excited about their new baby, I will cry when they’re all a family for the first time.
Buck and Tommy:
Buck will be nervous and anxious, like we saw. I don’t think Tommy knew it was Buck’s first time with a guy, but I don’t think he’ll be angry about it, more just cautious because you don’t know how far (I don’t mean sexually) you can go with someone when they’re still figuring out themself, and I think Tommy will realize Buck’s still so brand new to being Bi, that he needs more time before jumping head first into dating. I don’t think the date will go all totally smoothly, which we know. Then based on leak [redacted].
The you don’t know me will be obvious.
My hope: that they keep dating and Tommy helps Buck through the early stages of being a queer man.
Marisol and Eddie:
That picture where they’re nose to nose made me think, and I have a feeling that she’ll say they’re celebrating their 6 month anniversary. Now, it’s def not 6 months in the show’s timeline.
It’s been about 3 weeks from the cruise. The cruise was a week long. The cruise was connected to the end of season 6 with no time jump. Eddie called Marisol after he was recovered (or mostly recovered) from his injury. So it’s been maybe 4ish months if you want to add on some time that existed in the montage part. But definitely not 6.
Anyway the writers will say it’s been half a year because that will make the most sense for their plot. I think the date will be their first major scene in the episode then their intimate scene. I think Eddie and Buck talk about that in the gym still.
The “you don’t know me” will be obvious.
I know what happens with Eddie and Marisol at the end of the episode, so I won’t spoil it, but it tracks with Ryan saying that Marisol will be his most challenging relationship yet and that he and Buck are both exploring something new.
Buck and Eddie:
Gym still— about Marisol
Eddie doesn’t know Buck and Tommy are on a date. I hope he’s really confused about why they didn’t invite him, as pay back for not inviting Buck to hang with them.
Loft— Eddie’s gonna be so supportive. I know the leaks so I won’t say anything more, but we all assumed he’d be supportive and getting a hug between the two of them and I’m hyped for our first hug in YEARS.
I had a buddie theory for Eddie directly after he leaves Buck’s loft, but based on the fact that Marisol’s actor is back on set now for 7x08?09? Idk how I’m feeling about the theory, because I don’t want to get my own hopes up. Maybe I’ll make that another post.

We actually see the new baby instead of just hearing about her
No super long lead-ups to calls. Like a little bit of backstory for the characters is fine, give me context, give me character, but I just know that this episode (with its theme being what it is) could result in some calls with longggg intros and I think they could use the time to expand on their other plots. We don’t need 5 minutes before the kid gets lost in the mall or what felt like 10 minutes of a boy on his IPad. Like we got it after the third time. Maybe that’s just me.
