you asked and I deliver (I am exceedingly partial to “there are hybrid hunters and they are an active threat” osmp settings so be forewarned)

He spends a long time making bolt holes and hideaways around the valley, stocking them with weapons and food. When confronted, he says they’re in case of emergency for if hunters find the valley. They’re actually for the worst case scenario (the hybrids finally get fed up with having a human in their midst and run him out of town like he thinks he deserves) the rest of the crew finally put together their actual purpose only after Ran and Tubbo get angry one day after he messes with one of their projects. They yell loud and long enough to drive him into a panic, he vanishes, and the crew have to organize a party to find him before the hunters do.

They find Techno in the woods a few months after noticing the hunter’s traps seem to be sabotaged without their intervention. He gets cornered by a group of hunters, gutted and left for dead, and they barely manage to keep him alive. Niki is the first one he sees when he wakes up. he compliments her hair, and she decides right then and there that he’s staying.

Techno grew up in a mixed hybrid family and when they were captured, suffered a lot of scarring. He spends the first few months of his time with the osmp crew pretending to be a hybrid with his hybrid features surgically removed, because he’s afraid they won’t accept him and he can’t go back to the humans who did that to him in the first place.

None of the crew think about how dangerous it is for someone who can’t fly, can’t breathe underwater, cant shrink, and can’t teleport to navigate the floating islands and high bases. Techno manages through sheer stubborn grit for a while before a nasty fall takes him out of commission for a month.

He’s painfully touch-starved for a really long time. It takes a lot of late nights and awkward hugs before Phil sees him staring at a preening circle longingly and realizes touch starvation is also a human thing. He now gets to participate and they play with his hair until he passes out.

he’s usually barefoot. He’s also always got a few knives on him.

Ranboo has a lot of hair jewelry and Techno borrows it regularly. He’s the only one that’s allowed.

Okay okay okay, I'm munching and crunching on these as if they are a bowl of little snacks for me

Ough that one is painful but so so accurate to Techno's character. I wouldn't be surprised if the hidey holes are kind of meant for both, though at the end of the day Techno figures for a long while the hybrids are a bigger threat to him than other humans just because his expectations are so low

Peerpressureduo my beloved, I think Ranboo used to have long hair and then cut it off at some point (maybe because long hair was a sign of enderman royalty and they're doing the whole 'disowned by my shitty family' thing). Their hair is now a little above shoulder lenght and they still wear a lot of hair jewelry, but they love braiding Techno's hair and making it pretty and such. It's like, recontextualising something that used to be painful because it reminded them of their family

So, I rewatched the trailer over and over again, I stepped back, organised my thoughts, and I think I get it.

So first the Bad, then the GOOD, because there's actually a lot to like here.

The Bad:

So, the trend of companies kicking actual voice actors onto the curb and replacing them with celebrities continues. I remember being really angry when they first announced the voice cast, and I still am. It's quite literally the most boring, generic casting possible. You can not get much more white bread, milk toast than a Chris and Scar - I want to play an Asian woman and trans man - jo. Also, why is Chris Hemsworth here? Do he really need the money? Did Thor 4 damage his pockets that bad? There are so many talented voice actors that could've been Orion, David Kaye is a prime example Animated Optimus and Beats Wars/Unicron Trilogy Megatron, beloved by fans, if he was announced people would've been over joyed. I love Brian Tyree Henry, and he actually has some experience with va work as he voiced Jeff Morales in Spider-Verse, my original criticism still stands.... And Kegan, oh Kegan, I love you so much, Key and Peele was my childhood, and the Toad performance was perfectly fine, endearing even. But as Bee? I'm sorry, but no, that's not BumbleBee that's just actor/comedian Kegan Michael Key, I can't hear anything else. And it doesn't help that he's handed the worst lines.

Which brings us to the comedy. First impressions are EVERYTHING. And if you fumble that that hurts your film, and the perception of your film. I think that's really the problem here, it's a bad trailer not necessarily bad content. Packing the trailer with jokes for the sake of jokes and having that samey Hollywood liscensed music cringey feel to it. Like the guitar riff that played when the 'This Fall' card came up just made me turn off the video immediately. That's why I recommend watching the trailer without sound. Bee's jokes don't really land for me, I'm sure kids with love it tho, and that's good. But I'm sure all the jokes won't be bad, the final door gag is actually really funny. So I think it was just a bad joke that soured out feel of the tone at the beginning, which is unfortunate because like I said first impressions are everything. Because this is Josh Cooly, of Up, Inside Out, Toy Story 4 fame, I'm sure the film will have an emotional core to it.

A minor thing I don't much care for is having Bee be in the same age range as Orion, in my mind he's always constructed during the war at like the half way mark or near the end, he's the little brother of the group, and now he's old enough to remember Op and Megs before the war. Also he sounds way too old.

Oh, also I don't like Orion's personality.

Good:

Now for the good; I think the animations style is gorgeous. Would have I liked something Spider-Verse/Mutant Mayhem-esk, of course, but what are you gonna do? The stand out here is the environments, a visual feast. This might already be my favourite Cybertron, it's so different yet reminisant of the Cybertron we know. The fact that the surface transformers and shifts and changes is genius, very IDW Phase 2 inspired. And the fact that Cybertron is a techno-organic hybrid world ala Beast Machines is crazy! I love that, and wildlife! I bet that's how we get the cassettes. The character models are great too, you can actually tell what emotion is happening on a person's face. Gone are the days of faces being made up of razor blades and mandibles BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT INSECTS FUCK YOU MICHAEL BAY. THEY'RE PEOPLE! There's the nose, the lips, the eyes, and I can tell where one begins and ends. The eyes are gorgeous and detailed, and the face surface detail has smuges, wear, specs of dirt, metallic texture. Like, you nailed it! It's a person but a robot, you got it!

We see what we assume are the 13 Primes, Alpha Trion being the only survivor, maybe they were killed by the Quintessons and they took over. D-16, a ref to IDW and his toys designation in the toy catalogue, he'll obviously name himself after Megatronus ala TF Prime. He seems to have the Decepticon insignia before meeting The Fallen so maybe Megatronus' face is some sort of religious iconography, the Primes are a religion on Cybertron after all. It's all so fascinating, I can't remember the last time I was so excited to learn more about a new TF continuity.

Orion and D-16 are both miners and or workers, that's a refreshing take, no coptimus here. They've suffered the same way together, I bet story will be about dealing with that pain, what justice means, how far one is willing to take it and where justice stops and injustice begins. I know people are mad that the origins are a little different, but I ask you, different from what? Which continuity are you talking about? TF has never had a consistent singular timeline, and that's what I love about this franchise! It builds on itself with each new continuity! Take a bit of the old, mix it with new ideas and create something fresh, then that old guard leaves and a new team takes over and does the same and the franchise continues to evolve or should I say transform. Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get, and new incarnations always give second chances to improve apon what came before. No Reboots, no risks means no Skybite, or Nemesis Prime, no Stasis Pods, Sparks, Protoforms, Energon ore, no Star Saber, Hot Shot, Knock Out, Airachnid, no All Spark, no Sari, no Bulkhead, no old grumpy Ratchet, none of that. Reboots are a part of this franchise's DNA. I sense the people that are complaining are the people who only value one continuity and discard all others.

It's really neat this universe's version of The Cast System is lower class worker protoforms being denied a Transformation Cog, it seems like it's reserved for the higher classes, the very thing that makes their species special and unique is denied to them. Also I didn't notice it the first time, but Alpha actually pulls the t-cogs out of the dead Primes which kind of signifies a passing of the guard, the old Primes failed, now it's your turn, and of course history repeats itself with the downfall of Megatron.

I like how Trion is covered and intertwined with moss and vines and has a beast mode, showcasing that he's of an older era now gone and forgotten.

Some other smaller stuff:

The sun looks like a holographic simulation, which makes me wonder, Cybertron doesn't usually have a sun, but there's plant life now, so what's up?

The cave that the dead Primes and Trion are in kinda looks like a Dweller.

Megatron's black helmet is a ref to Marvel G1.

That spin kick where Elita twirls her entire waist around is sooo satisfying. I love it.

AIRACHNID!!?!!!! MY QUEEN HAS RETURNED!!!!!!!

I think that's a good point to end on. So, yeah, v excited.

Jockbull Summer Week 1 (12/11/23-18/11/23) - Set A

Model used is Tsonghan Wu

1 & 2.

I don’t typically train with push ups all that often, but I picked this as my personal goal because there’s such a potent jock energy about being able to show off and crank out effortless reps of push ups. Massive high school sports star energy. But we started small. Only managed 22 on my first day. Granted it was immediately after a Push session.

The second attempt however I integrated the competitive element. I went to one of my best friends from back home, K. Total stud who i’ve always envied and idolized. I expect he’ll come up a few more times before this is over so might as well give him some designation. I asked him to make it a contest to beat his score. He hit 30 in one go. I pushed myself so fucking hard because I would not lose to him. I was gonna kick his ass. And I did. I hit 31 and then spent a good minute on the floor unable to get up. It felt so fucking good tho. Increasing by so much. Pushing and winning against my bro. It made my night. 3rd attempt i hit 32. If i keep increasing. Keep pushing. Maybe i’ll get to 100 by the end.

The first step is an important milestone. Obviously as a Self-employed writer/full time student in a different country I don't have a MASSIVE collection of clothes to chuck out (you all can change that). But there are definitely a few that I already know are going to get the boot when the time comes. The reason this one was so important for me and Jockrs is because we both felt that as long as those old clothes were an option, I’d keep defaulting to them out of habit. Over-sized, drab, boring. Hiding the gainz and the new person i want to become. So the first piece I threw out was a fairly cheap ugly grey long sleeved shirt that I bought when I first moved to NZ. 6XL. Bought 3 sizes too big for me at a time when I was 3 sizes too big for me. And as I've leaned down and put on muscle, all this shirt does is wash me out and make me swim in fabric. It had to go. But I still feel indebted to it. It was a go-to piece of clothing on my worst Dysmorphia days when I felt like a fat, disgusting piece of shit. It helped me deal with the anxiety of being in a new place where I clearly didn’t look like I belonged. It helped me hide when I needed to hide. But i don’t need to hide anymore.

Unfortunately I couldn't really work on this as much as I wanted. Jokers was still in exam mode so some of the shared tasks that required him were a bust. That said, I did slip a few more "dudes", "mans" and "bros" into my chatter with gym bros. And I went as far as coaching some dudes through my leg day workout. This is one I'm eager to make progress on because it's so antithetical to what I've always been. My speech has always been a weird indistinguishable hybrid. I’ve been mistaken for American, British and Canadian. I’ve had my voice described as “trans-Atlantic”, Despite coming from the Caribbean. I was always discouraged from indulging too much in dialect and slang when I was young. “Speak properly”. Combined with being fairly bookish and advanced, maybe that led to some good things in the long run. My skill with words, language and voice are unique. They’re why you all love me. But it did mean that by the time I was in secondary school I was a little alienated from my peers. I didn’t talk like them. I didn’t want to either but it was rough always being mistaken for a foreigner on soil you have never left in your life. In a sense, me picking up an even more exaggerated americanized accent is taking that full circle. Developing a bit more control over my speech to inhabit an ideal I have always longed for. Sounds cool, rite brah?

Again, one restricted by Jockrs being in exam mode. I didn’t want to get too far. But we finally watched the first episode of the 2018 series. One of the rare occasions where the dub is notably better than the sub. But god. What a wild ride. 10/10. No notes. It's just pure gas. And that first episode really struck a chord with me. Something visceral about being palpably perceived as a threat. Emanating danger from you that lessers can sense in their bones. Actually being a weapon in human form. I get such a thrill from that concept. I understand why the toxic tik tok gym bro crowd latches on to this show so much. I think I will too.

Not gonna have the weekly mass reblog of What We Do in the Shadows this time cause honestly, I really didn’t like this episode. I loved the Colin and Nandor plot line, but the other two were just garbage if I’m being honest.

Some people are claiming this episode is “just filler” which is such a ignorant take because the show is episodic. There are so many episodes that have nothing to do with the center overarching plot line. But it’s just that this episode probably sticks out because it wasn’t as well written. The hybrids made me so uncomfortable due to their incredibly uncanny valley designs that I couldn’t enjoy any of their scenes. It didn’t help that not a single joke made me laugh this time.

And don’t get me started on Nadja’s plot line. I knew the witch lady was a scam, but her motivations were so strange even for this show. It felt like the writer’s could not think of anything to do with her other than the teaching role.

It really didn’t help that last week’s episode was amazing. But I’m not mad at the show at all. Every show has their mid to bad episodes. It’s whatever but just no mass reblogging this time to celebrate. I’m still excited for what comes next tho. Can’t wait for that.

First-Impression thoughts on Hazbin Hotel's "official" first ep, now that I checked it out on YT-

*Spoiler warning below for those who didn't see it yet-*

-Great to see Charlie & Vaggie again, still a wholesome lil supportive pair whilst having their own quirks/things to do on the side. Esp with Vaggie spending the whole time back at the hotel reshooting a whole commercial for Charlie's sake, awww :3

-Pleasantly surprised by the twist of Charlie's mom being the figure she was most inspired by to make her dream come true, along with her love for singing. Curious to see where Lilith's whereabouts could be if she's been away for so long?

-The new voices were... a mixed bag, I suppose? Mainly in the line/tone-deliveries for certain characters (& I guess I'm still moreso used to the OG pilot's portrayals lol), but I can see the good attempts made from those like Charlie & Alastor.

-I... don't know how I feel about the way Lucifer's backstory was handled? Like, yeah its interesting hearing of him & Lilith genuinely connecting over their "rebellious" natures (& thus fleeing from Heaven's wrath/staying in Hell to be together). But then, the whole thing with Lucifer apparently being some "doofy, misunderstood dreamer who only wanted the best for Humanity, got bullied by those mean ol' angels, and didn't meaaaan to spread Sin all across Earth~ 🥺🥺" ...ehhhhh, felt kinda lame imho 🤷‍♀️. Not that I mind giving nuanced/sympathetic angles to a character's development now & then... but with someone like Lucifer (who mind you, is meant to represent the "Ring of Pride" on top of his Hell-ruling duties), I guess I kinda expected more... "bite" to his portrayal, I guess? .3. But idk, maybe that's just me... (*Tho admittedly, one could argue that perhaps he and/or Lilith were simply lying in that storybook to make them look less "bad"... idk, given HB's track record with Stolas' writing and since both shows are made by the same people... part of me can't help having my doubts ^^; *)

-Adam... ooooooh boi .x.;; Ever since I saw his leaked design I've always been rather... "mixed" about him, and now seeing him on-screen & talking I... don't really get the concept behind him? I mean, yeah I'm all for a fun, chaotic-jackass type when done right (hell I still consider Blitz among my faves to this day lol). But with Adam apparently being the big leader behind Heaven's army, AND was even the "original" Adam from biblical times... how tf did he get the chance to be allowed in Heaven if he not only helped curse humanity to sin (aka: sharing Forbidden Fruit with Eve), but on top of him currently being a horny, misogynistic loudmouth? 🤨Discounting that is also the fact that his whole design vibe just... doesn't really give me "holy army leader" vibes, but more-or-less just Blitz in some weird angel cosplay lol 🤷‍♀️. No shade to those who genuinely do like Adam though (and I'll admit his song was surprisingly catchy lol), I just... feel like his whole personality/design vibe could've probably fit better to a fallen angel-type character (or even a demon-angel hybrid if you wanna play more into the Heaven vs. Hell conflict), someone who only takes up the "Adam" title as an ego trip to enact his revenge against Hell... or, something like that idk; my brain's tired lol. (*His sidekick Lute seems pretty cool tho, she kinda reminds me of Tempest Shadow from MLP in a way .3.*)

-Nice to see more of the old Hotel gang again, esp those like Nifty she was a cute :3 (her whole reaction to the camera honestly being a whole mood lol)

-Did not expect to see Brandon Rogers pop up voicing Katie Killjoy of all people, buuuut I guess I can see the amusing comparison potential to that one CEO persona of his lol

....Aaaaaand yep, that's about the gist of my first-impression thoughts atm .3. Dunno if I'll be sitting down to watch the whole season of Amazon's Hazbin atm (*'cause like, I do have Amazon Prime, buuuuut I rarely ever use that to watch shows (save for some classic cartoons here & there lol) .w.; *), but I'd say it was still generally a decent watch for what it is imo👍(+any chance to see my girl Vaggie again, the better~ x3💜)

roots by sepultura is absolutely nu metal but arise is just straight up thrash so i have no idea why that’s on here. also surprised there’s 2 sepultura albums but no soulfly, same singer but soulfly was more firmly nu. lots of big huge drums in roots, i love it.

i will never listen to devil without a cause because we live in a world where kid rock was invited to the trump white house

follow the leader is like half a good album? there’s a track where jonathan davis and fred durst are just homophobic at each other for several minutes. but also i’m not a huge korn fan, i could probably cobble together one album i enjoy from the 4 that i’ve heard. the bass strings are so floppy. i enjoy their first 2 albums more bc they sound like shit, this one is more polished for sure and that’s not what i want lol

system of a down s/t A+

slipknot s/t 💕💕💕💕 i front to back this album all the time. drums are insane. all hope is gone is another odd choice, it’s way more thrash/straight up metal. after their 3rd album they moved away from nu for the most part. i really like at least half the songs on it tho. shocked iowa isn’t on here

hybrid theory is great for baby’s first heavy album bc there is no cursing so your parents would let you listen to it. incredibly vague lyrics by design so you can apply them to whatever is happening to you. a technically very good album, v polished and well thought out. kind of like the nexus of what nu metal could achieve, like where to even elevate from here. they were like the last super popular nu band. a place for my head rules

make yourself also an odd choice! i would have gone with fungus amongus or SCIENCE. SCIENCE is SO fun, my mom loved it lol. for the 311 connoisseur for sure. the elements are still there with the turntables and the bass but it’s definitely more alt rock imo. also brandon boyd said it made him sad to be lumped in with nu metal bc of all the machismo lmao

i have yet to listen to chocolate starfish bc i cannot sanction fred durst’s buffoonery. rollin’ is great though obviously. there’s a ben stiller shout out in livin’ it up. he also says he’s seen fight club “about 28 times” which i believe

the jane’s addiction pull is insane. in no way is this nu metal. probably influenced some groups wrt funkiness but that’s all i got. also just a sidenote my mom and i saw jane’s addiction like 10 years ago and we realized simultaneously that perry farrell looks like michael douglas as liberace

i was going to say i’m shocked there’s no deftones but i assume white pony or around the fur is on there, ppl just love to say they’re not nu metal bc they’re “good”

I swear to yall, I love Kyu to hell and back, but godDAMN are they difficult to design for, like finding a balance between squishy and cute vibes while also still conveying the fact that they're 14?? At least after a whiiile I found a happy middle to the ram/sheep and red panda hybrid problemo that was giving me hell for agess design-wise- seriously tho, I still love Kyu tons, even if figuring out their default outfit continues to plague my thoughts to this day 💀

hi so. dsmp countries as countryhumans.

im not sorry this was funny

explanations of each design and also a bonus doodle under the cut (its arguably the best part of this)

okay first off the height was loosely based off of how big the actual countries are.

LMANBURG - i based it kinda off of the people lmanburg was for. fox ears for fundy, flower for tommy and also a homage to the whole tommy singing to flowers and that's how they got the national anthem. The glasses are for wilbur bc he kinda made the whole thing. the outfit is based on the lmanburg uniforms. the tail is because most of the people in lmanburg are hybrids so. also the hair felt hamilton-y to me and that was funny. the three hearts on the uniform is part of a headcanon im currently working on but basically its a war medal. oh btw i love the lmanburg flag its symbolic and nice and works very well.

GREATER SMP - i made the flag for this bc there isn't an official flag. the flag was based on dream obviously cause its literally his whole country. anyway the crown is because that's what the leaders wear. the under shirt isn't very fancy because none of the members wear anything fancy. the coat jacket suit thing feels very traditional and proper to me which is the same as the nation so. also i debated on what i should do for the ears bc i was thinking human ears but also like all of the people have pointed ears so i decided to go for that

MANBURG - uhm i love the manburg flag btw <3 its so good and representative of the administration and also it feels like very modernized and sleek and americanized if you get what i mean but its still very destructive and has strong "evil" connotations as well as being a mockery of the lmanburg flag. okay now on to the design. i promise promise there's a difference between the suit/hair/pants and the skin its just really slight. anyway i think it looks cool either way. the big tie gives off "false confidence / cocky / big shot" to me and i thought that worked well. the horns are there bc schlatt obviously and its almost touching the eyes bc manburg is very self destructive and will never last. the ears are human bc manburg also isn't super friendly to hybrids (headcanon??).

POGTOPIA - sorry guys but i hate the pogtopia flag it makes no sense and has no reason and also i just ugly. but alas that's the flag so ill do what i can. anyway pogtopia is very desperate and also an absolute mess so the outfit is symbolic of that. the beanie is for pogbur ofc. you cant really see it but it also has big eyebags. the fangs are half destructive and also half bc its for hybrids. the ears and tail as well are the whole hybrid bit. i think that most hybrids (if they could) left manburg which treated them badly and went to pogtopia which was for the hybrids. also the tail is kinda reminiscent of niki who to me feels like what pogtopia was for. if that makes sense.

NEW LMANBURG - i also really like the new lmanburg flag. i think its cool. anyway the eyepatch bc it looks cool and also i thought it was reminscent of how fucked up lmanburg was and how they rebuilt. the wings again are kinda phoenix-y and also peace and whatever. the flowers are again like rebirth and renewal and stuff. the tail and ears and such are again bc of the whole hybrid thing. also the outfit is like a suit-ified lmanburg uniform

BADLANDS - okay so admittedly idk shit about the badlands. so. the flag is pretty cool tho. i gave it horns like bbh and cat ears like antfrost and a mouth like sam / bbh. i did the cloak and scarf thingy bc both bbh and ponk have something like that so i figured that fit. sorry there's nothing really special about this

SYNDICATE - wooo boy theres a lot here. so the syndicate does not have a flag so i had to make one. i looked some up and there was a lot of red and black which i liked. red bc of like anarchy and shit and then black bc that's also pretty anarchy-y but also withers which. they do a lot. i put it like slashed bc its very "conflict opposing dangerous" and that works well with the syndicate. and then i saw one a long time ago that was based on their end portal table so i also added that with the border and the thing in the middle. then i added a bit of gold because i wanted to and i thought it looked cool and to me gold is a syndicate color. i gave them a crown bc both techno and ranboo have crowns so. they have a cape bc its like a secret organization and then i added fluff bc its cold in the artic. the outfit is supposed to resemble the type of outfits that techno and ranboo and somewhat niki ? so like older outfits with the corest and fancy sleeves. and then also like good boots bc they do like fighting and stuff. the hair is short as like a niki and phil thing. also the tail kinda looks like ranboo and that was kinda accidental but i like it. the ears are feathered for phil and also kinda niki and i didn't think wings fit. the clasp is an eye of ender bc of the end portal table. you'd think the syndicate would be tiny tiny but i headcanon that they have other lesser members everywhere (just random informants and such) so

SNOWCHESTER -snowchester's flag is pleasing. also i like the memes about it being close to the mlm flag. anyway the outfit is obviously inspired by ctubbos outfit but its cold and called snowchester so i figured it fit. the small horns are for ranboo. the flowers are for peace and healing and whatever and also a homage to the lmanburgs. the curling horns are not close to the eye but could grow to be bc of nukes and such. the tail and curling horns are both puffy and tubbo.

LAS NEVADAS - i love the aesthetics of the las nevadas flag its so so good. anyway the outfit is pretty self explanatory. the horns and devil tail is bc its a place of sin (casino and whatever). the only reference to the habitants are the feathered ears (quackity) bc its not reeeaaaally for the residents.

KINOKO KINGDOM - okay. okay. the flag is absolutely by far the most aesthetically pleasing flag. i love love off white its amazing and makes sense. i gave it a mushroom hat because. mushroom. the hair is a mix of tina's, sapnap's and karl's. the collar is for george, and the sleeves are for tina. the rest of the outfit is kinda for karl??? if that makes sense. and then the tail is for tina and sapnap

EGGPIRE - i also lovee the eggpire flag. it works well. anyway you may notice that there is literally no callbacks to the eggpire members. that's cause the egg literally does not give a shit about the members. its hair is long and kinda curls like the vines. the dress is about temptation and also like. not battle ready doesn't need to explore or anything just happens. if that makes sense. vines around the head and waist for the silly factor. vine tail because it looks cool

LIMBO - i just did limbo bc i didnt know what else to do. anyway limbo has a sweater bc i feel like ghosts get sweaters and then also is in grayscale because that's the commonality

ok now i have Brain Power (AAAAE-A-E-I-E-A-) again i can go back to my thoughts on how my ocs would play Cosy Games cuz i always think its funny how people always assign characters who are Nice People as being solely animal crossing or minecraft or stardew players and its always like 'they have really pretty towns and are nice to all the NPCS uwu'

katrin is one of those people who maybe plays for hours one day but then never picks up the game again. shit like animal crossing is too daunting for her because you put down that game for a week and your town is full of weeds and the animals ask where youve been and it is just Too Scary to return to and face your failures

nancor likes to aimlessly wander around in his games and is prone to getting lost. you check your minecraft server logs and you just see him getting mauled by various mobs. hes having fun tho, dont worry about it

ashe is a Sidequest Guy, always doing all the little jobs for npcs because he likes to be helpful :) he agonises for ages over what gifts to give his animal crossing villagers when he sends them mail because he wants to make sure they like it, he needs a Good Grade In Friendships ok. he would also get up to a point in a stardew or harvest moon game where an npc asks to marry him and then he immediately checks with cheran if its okay for him to say yes or if he should turn them down LMFAO

velour is looking up tutorials for how to design the prettiest minecraft houses ever, and trying to make sure his stardew farms are the most Aesthetic ever. catch him awake at like 5am having spent all night redesigning his entire animal crossing island because he's going to livestream a tour for his YouTube channel and it needs to be Perfect

mikiel could care less about video games, and is doing the bare minimum in any game he'd touch. most likely the guy who does all the combat quests in Minecraft like fighting the ender dragon or the wither so other people he's playing with can get all the items

lucy is a Task Guy, and is dutifully doing every single daily chore in the game as well as trying to finish any quests as quickly as possible to not keep any NPCs waiting. loves fishing minigames, and completed his fishing + bug catching sections in the animal crossing museum within like a week after he learned how to time travel

viltau is a Spreadsheet Guy aiming for 100% completion and get the absolute most out of any game he'd touch, but he is also an Aesthetics Guy prone to completely renovating his animal crossing worlds / farming sim farms on a whim because he's gotten bored of how they look. he is just like velour being awake at ungodly hours trying to redo his island, but rather than doing it for fan approval hes just generally Deranged

glas just likes to fuck around and doesn't care about having any long-term goals in their games, and generally just designs shit to weird out any of their friends who visit their animal crossing island or minecraft server. why is there a corner of their island full of dolls? why do they have big meme murals in the nether? why is their cow named 'daddy milkies'? don't worry about it

vallis gets obsessed with any sort of animal raising or breeding mechanic and tends to forget about everything else. yeah his island is full of weeds and he still hasn't paid off any debts, but check out his rows upon rows of perfect hybrid flowers he's been crossbreeding

{Read the previous chapter before reading the next 2, also know that adding my own headcannons and some of the lore will change slightly due to the inclusion of Haru and Owen. Plus I don't remember everything and everyone invloved, l just to let u all know, also Tallulah will be known as her new design and you'll all understand what I plan for Tallulah due to....a certain someone we no longer will speak about. But for now hope u all enjoy}

Chapter 3: A New Life

Welp, we're now trapped on a random island and are no longer able to get home. "That's just what they wanted to hear!"

Haru is a bit annoyed and worried but Owen suggested they both go off to find a area for their new base. They agree and head off of course overhearing the chaos behind them.

They've seen a crow/angel hybrid and another human with a prosthetic arm (which looks a bit worn and a bit broken?) In the distence. They both decided to gather things along the way, specially food as the two haven't ate for a while and Owen is not ready to have to comfort a emotionally hungry neko demon (he has seen when Haru gets when hungry and will get annoyed eventually)

Suddenly Haru hears their comm device go off and checks to find that one of the Spanish members are inviting everyone to have a party. They may not be a party person socially, but Haru should interact with new people especially now that their trapped on this island, they both are gonna be seeing their new neighbors more often.

So they go finding where the party is held and along the way they meet the crow/angel hybrid named Philza and they met Jaiden again, and the human they saw before is Fitmc, and a human next to Philza is Luzu.

While walking,they all talked about what their names are in Spanish, apparently Luzu said that Haru's name would be Primavera {please correct me I this is wrong} which fascinating how different names can be from other languages.

Haru feels safe around this group, they also are nice to both Haru and Owen which is a good thing.

They found the party and it was actually fun and nice to feel included and welcomed, Haru was used to not being included back when they were a human, it hurts at times but they no longer have that life, Haru has people who loves and cares about them back home. And they may also have people on this island who may become friends eventually

As night rises and people starts to rest. Haru and Owen found this nice area at a field near a beach, it was nicely spaced, plus they can make farms and other nice builds.

But for now because they still don't know much about everyone who is trapped on the island, they'll make an underground base, Haru still has instincts of making bases underground to hide from people, especially as stuff was taken and even lost their homes because of people griefing them.

Haru and Owen who fell asleep are now resting on a single pink bed Haru luckily made and, despite feeling homesick, they're glad Owen came along. They wouldn't be able to handel being alone again. As they are thinking it's eyes closes as a new day starts new.

The week began and honestly wasn't bad. Haru and Owen worked more on their base and collected new stuff and crops and checked on what everyone around was doing, luckily they have a map on their device that is helping them not get lost (Haru is awful at directions, don't ask where to go -_-)

Haru met Bad and Foolish again and noticed something different about them both. Bad looks taller and same with foolish, he is even more taller than the demon (Haru is 5'1 and Bad's probably 9ft right now, Foolish is even bigger than that)

But they also noticed Foolish is working on a big project which surpised both Haru and Owen as all of them are still just getting started!

But what Haru noticed the most is Bad and Foolish seems to have a bond as they naturally are teasing and bickering at each other, tho they don't sound angry or mean but more as a loving way? Haru can sense a fun vibe between these two.

They met more people like Maximus who seems to have made a nice home, tho as they talked to Max who showed a secret to this simple house. Is actually can flip over!

They are impressed and amazed that this guy made something that would take forever for Haru and even Owen, they know a certain bee friend that would love to see this back home, xe is known for create and machines.

But they learned from Maximus about why he made this base, and honestly glad Haru made an underground home (they have to talk to Owen about making the area more protected eventually)

But on the last day of the week their base has become improved. Fruit trees they found are grown and the crops they also found so far are growing, the cows and sheep are in the stables they made, eventually Haru wants an auto wool farm.

But underground is also actually nice, they have a mineshaft to go to this cooler cave.(of course Haru and Owen made sure the entrance is locked)

But Owen and Haru made multiple storage rooms for items (like for ores, mob drops, blocks, treasure, ect)

They even made rooms for themselves, they both still need to decorate the rooms but so far they are happy with their work so far. Haru's room has a big bed that has the colors pink, yellow, and light blue covers, some plants around the room, and a closet with a hidden room (like in Narnia) where their secret special stuff are.

Haru and Owen also found some cats and a llama, Haru instantly named the llama Cupcake, and the cats names are Pancake and Pudding (they may not be exactly the same as their pets at home but still nice to have them back) Haru also has a radio on the nightstand as they need music to sleep (Haru hates silence, especially in the dark) and theirs a nightlight on the wall near the door and a book shelf filled with some manga they were able to find somehow.

Owen's room is more simple than his sblings, Owen has a light blue bed with a nightstand that has a potted plant, she has a desk where he writes (Owen enjoys writing) he has a few bookshelves for his books she makes, a closet with a secret room as well. And they both have a photo of their family and friends in between their rooms hanging on the wall.

They have more to work on including their gear, stamina, hearts, ect, but Haru and Owen feel more comfortable and happy now that their able to keep up woth everyone who are in a similar standing.

Chapter 4: Eggs?

Haru wakes up and noticed their comes updated at night, now able to translate what people are saying, which is nice as Haru wants to be able to know what others are saying without people needing to speak English all the time (Haru hates that people needs to, they feels guilty)

They also saw that everyone needs to meet at the wall. So Haru grabs their backpack, leaves a note to their still asleep brother and runs over.

Haru noticed that about everyone is here except for Luzu, and after everyone arrived, the screen of the train station turned on and It's the duck.. That mysterious duck is back... They were told that they are gonna be taking care of these eggs, who apparently are dragons, that shouldn't be hard.... Right?

Once everyone heads to the adoption center, the first thing everyone noticed is that these aren't regular dragon eggs, they have little legs sticking out of the shells and they each have accessories. Haru loves how the eggs looks, they look cute and kinda remind them of when they first found a Banana as a chao egg, tho hopefully their egg won't run off like Banana did before hatching (it's funny now but Haru was scared out of their second life due to trying to keep the chao egg from breaking)

As more people gets their tickets and adopts and egg, Haru gets a ticket and no one matches them, tho Bad and Quackity apparently also are alone which makes them wonder who are their partners?

Anyways Haru walks to find an egg that's left and spots this cute egg sitting there.

This little brown speckled egg has pink/blue hair with star pins in it. And their feet are different from the others, and they have pink and blue demon horns.

That's when Haru fell in love with their egg.

"Their name is Cosmo."

Haru now with Cosmo is learning the egg tasks and honestly took a bit to realize how it works, especially as it never had to think about how an egg can eat before now but Cosmo ate a Banana from the trees they found a week ago (Haru realizes a pattern with the eggs they adopt)

Owen woke up and met Cosmo, who they both found prefers he/him pronouns, and that Cosmo seems to not show emotions that well, sure u can't see their emotions that well due to not exactly having a face to see them, but eggs seem to still be able to show them still despite that. But Cosmo doesn't really show emotions that much, but even then Haru and Owen can tell when the egg is happy or sad, or even tired, but it's more through actions than words.

During the second week, Haru took Cosmo to the top of the wall where Philza lives for a sleepover. They met Missa and an egg with a duck floaty named Chayanne who was about ready to fight but calmed once Philza assured the egg that we are friends.

Haru saw Bad and Foolish arrive with their eggs as well, an egg with a top hat and another with a ball cap are called Dapper and Leonarda. Haru introduced them all to Cosmo, who seems to be a bit nervous but curious just like Haru was.

They then all started to do the tasks together, of course while dealing with mobs around them. But of course it's never gonna be that easy. And they all tease Foolish about Leo catching Foolish with ElMariana despite the two have broken up before the island (Haru is very curious about that still)

Another day ElMariana, Haru and Owen are hanging out together along side Juanafilippa and Cosmo, they both seem to be getting along really well as they play with a ball.

They learned that Juanafilippa is trans which they didn't know that, but seeing that Mariana and Slime are accepting of their egg is nice to know. They may have a confusing toxic relationship (Haru has no idea at this point) but they defiently seem to still love their egg.

After a while Haru and Mariana goes off their own as they say goodbye, the little family goes to meet Philza and Fit to work on the egg tasks again, this is where they met Ramon who has a mustache, he seems a bit more mature surprisingly for an egg (tho Haru has heard about Spreen who seems more tougher so it wouldn't be surprising if Ramon was raised differently)

But despite that they also noticed Fit is a bit more caring to his egg even tho he looks as tough and serious as Spreen. They all met up with Bad and Dapper and went off to go on an adventure together, of course after Bad tries to sell rooms in Foolishes dragon (Haru and Owen are still amazed)

But once they are at the end of the day, Roier and Bobby arrived, Bobby is a very strong egg that loves to punch everyone, but also is talented from the painting they have seen when doing the eggs tasks with Roier and Jaiden (Bobby's family is very talented but also fun they noticed)

Haru learned more about Cosmo, he is really into tarot cards, and surprisingly is really good at them. Haru is still learning how to read them and Owen knows a bit of the meanings but doesn't know exactly how they work.

Cosmo also understands spanish which they've been learning some new words (despite Haru's slow learning, they're still trying) Haru has a book with all the words and phrases they learned so far.

Cosmo loves chocolate milk and loves quesadillas, Owen makes the best quesadillas and the homeade chocolate milk they make is actually really good, tho Granny Smith used to make the best homeade milk when Haru and Owen were younger.

They want to bring home some of the food they made from here to their friends and family to try. They have a lot of different foods and drinks back at home l and so none of these foods and drinks are new, but they seem to be made diffferrnt on this island.

After a long few days there was a trial for Juanafilippa life? Apperiently a missclick happened as Mariana tucked the egg to bed (Haru has no clue how that even happened) but Mariana and Slime are againts each other and the trial was chaotic.

Tho it's not surprising because everyone including themselves are chaotic and Slime somehow was able to get 5 lawyers (is that even allowed!?)

But Juanaflippa was able to be brought back to life and things seems to be all good again....

Until one day while Haru was keeping an eye on Cosmo, they got a invatation to go to a funeral for Trumpet, Tilin, and Juanaflippa.... How the f*ck!?

Just thought this would be cute.

We all know how Kristoff was raised by trolls. And I was thinking what if Scott was somehow raised by llamas or at least people who are part llama/are llama hybrids.

Like- wouldn't that be cute??

Also he definitely talks to his llamas whenever he is stressed or is just telling them stories. He can understand llamas. Not animals. Just llamas. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Sausage was once walking around the empires cuz idk- he was bored?? And he overheard Scott ranting to his llamas. And since Sausage can talk/understand animals he knows what the llamas tell Scott.))

Okay- I know Scott's birthday is like- 3 months away but- imma just put this here

Scott has been given a llama for a birthday present. From Sausage ofc. Scott loved it.

Also, since Owen is in empires now as a llama. Imagine if the actual llama turned into Owen. Like- imagine seeing Owen but with llama features! Kinda like Scott's but his are less rainbow more orange.

Ok- this has turned from me having a headcanon to a full on brainrot lol- i have more!

Scott's part llama(at least to me) and he ENJOYS head pats. Like LOVES them.

He knits. Like- he makes all his clothing all from scratch. He doesn't buy them. He shears his sheep and makes clothes out of the wool.

He is the reason why fWhips pickle business has a sign that says "Do not smelt the pickles into dye due to threat of war". How did he know? Well...llama. One of the llamas told him. Idk how they found out but yeah. The llamas were being snitches.

Occasionally, he falls asleep in either the barn or with the llamas. Like- he forgets to go to his house to sleep and just go get them Zs with the llamas.

People think he's wierd cuz of his heterochromia. People don't tell him that tho because this llama man is sensitive. Like- he WILL get sad IMMEDIATELY.

The designs on his best friends or...in my case his children, are all handmade by him. He also gifts people the stuff he knits.

He can paint and draw REALLY well. I can just imagine him making a family portrait for Joel, Sausage and Hermes. His favorite artwork was when he decided to paint/draw the flower fields.

Scott is friends/neutrals with everyone. Like he definitely is. He is happy llama man and I wanna keep it that way UnU.

Gem has bees right? And exports like- beeswax, honey, basically anything a bee can make. Scott provides the flowers she uses for pollen.

He makes flower crowns for EVERYONE and ANYONE who enters Chromia.

Hermes once visited Chromia alone because they know very well the way back to Stratos. And when they reached the "Rainbow man" (that's what I imagine they calls Scott) kingdom they were taught how to make flower crowns by Scott because APPARENTLY neither Joel or Sausage taught them how to. Scott said that they were being horrible parents for not teaching their child such a WONDERFUL thing, as a joke ofc.))

He has long hair. He grew it out when he was out traveling the world looking for new things to add to his collection. It grew till the top half of his back.

He definitely does his nails. Also, Lizzie is a cat and she has long nails( kinda like a cats nails but a bit shorter) and Scott has offered to decorate them because according to him they looked PLAIN. Lizzie of course agreed to this and her nails have NEVER been so good looking. She comes to Chromia every month for her nails.

RANDOM QUESTION OUT OF THA BLUE BUT!!! I've been thinking about what various madcom characters' fursonas would be bc i do that with all my hyperfixations and im v curious what animals youd assign them,, (especially crackpo n phoobert bc ur takes on both of them are delightful !!

OHH!!! I REMEMBER U SENDING ME A REQ ABT THIS AND I NEVER GOT TO IT BUT I REALLY REALLY WANTED TO SO IM ABSOLUTELY AT LEAST GONNA GIVE YOU AN ESSAY ABOUT IT

see the thing about this question i LOVE is that you can answer it two ways: "what the characters would say their fursona is" and "what God and everyone else knows their fursona is". "jerma you'd be a rat" vs "lion wolf hybrid king of the junjle". you get me?

we'll start with what they'd make up as fursonas- i think phobos would try to be as realistic as possible n choose a deathstalker scorpion, nd make VERY clear to specify that he has remarkably small claws (so you know how potent his venom is!!!) [scorpion venom is relative to the claw size- smaller claws = more potent venom, as they have less need to hold down their prey!]. tbf he'd probably literally just base it off one of his owned scorpions- no fancy bits n baubles attached, although he would also design UV markings [scorpions, along with many other animals glow under UV light!] for himself so the design isn't necessarily bland or lacking.

crackpot would be the complete opposite, however- he'd be too indecisive with which bird species he likes best that he'd just give up n make an every-hybrid of some manner (tho it WOULD look most similar to a vulture, i think!). he'd literally make a sparklebird. rainbow feathers, scene getup, FUCK YOU let him have fun for once in his miserable life!!! realistically unlike phobos, who cannot ever take the stick out of his ass for 2 seconds to indulge in a little whimsy, i think crackpot probably had a fursona at some point (he just kinda stopped having time to think about it after The Occurrences. you get it!)

now. as for what god and everyone else would assign them....... actually a little tougher. bc a scorpion still feels right for phobos, symbolically- the ole fable about the scorpion and the frog, y'know? DAMMIT, PHOBOS. YOU WIN THIS TIME! but maybe he'd be a species with weaker venom. Just cause. (i could be really extra mean and say pseudoscorpion but cmon man.)

crackpot on the other hand.... ive gone into such meticulous detail about the kinds of bird he could be, but the funniest part is i don't think God would let him be a bird at all. birds are something he takes great comfort in, something he wants to be-- but he's a pretender, he's always worn a mask his whole life, always wished he could be somebody else. he'd be something that exhibits batesian mimicry [batesian mimicry is when one harmless species mimics another, more threatening species]-- i think he'd be a hoverfly, a type of fly that mimics bees! alternatively he could be a salamander but i don't have cool symbolism reasons for that i just think it's right.

TLDR;

if we're talking "jerma you'd be a rat" phobos could be a scorpion or pseudoscorpion and crackpot would either be a hoverfly or salamander, if we're talking "lion wolf hybrid king of the junjle" phobos would be an ostensibly cooler scorpion & crackpot would be some kinda sparklebird.

I'd love to learn your thoughts on the rest of the bnha cast, particularly the main characters! Could you list your top 10 and share why you like them?

THIS WAS SO TOUGH I had to go through a complete character list to make sure I didn't miss anyone and I'm still not satisfied

Honestly BNHA does so well with character variety I love so much of the cast, tho it does fall into the pit of "there are too many characters and story threads to finish them all or even mention them ever again", do not talk to me about Shinsou

Anyway we're ignoring Aizawa, Yamada, and Eri because I think everyone already knows that they're my least favorite characters /s

10. Overhaul - probably one of the worst people in the show tbh but I really loved anytime his character was on screen?? he was such a calm but simmering threat before he was actively violent and honestly his voice acting in the dub imo was REALLY special. the whole organized crime angle is also one of my vibes in storytelling so I really enjoyed his character. plus his character design is *chef's kiss*

9. Tokoyami - he's a bird man with a dark passenger that acts like a puppy sometimes what's NOT to love -- I'm actually going to cheat and tie Tokoyami with Bakugou here because I had second thoughts. Bakugou's pivot in his relationship with Midoriya was one of my favorite character development moments and felt so well-done and earned that he's definitely in my top 10

8. Mirio - BEST BOY! Togata is just so positive and wholesome and selfless, every time I revisit his clash with Overhaul I sob my eyes out. I wasn't on board with his pivot in eye design at first but once I got to know him I fell for him HARD. There's literally no downside to this guy but at the same time that's ALRIGHT! Rather than it being obnoxious it's done in a way that I find flawless. like he still has weaknesses but he's composed so well as a character

7. Amajiki - how can you not love this poor anxious guy?? he's very relatable and anytime he pushes through his head to succeed in his goals I just want to scream and hug him. plus his quirk is amazing and I could NEVER because I'm such a picky eater

6. Kurogiri/Shirakumo - THE POWER OF ANGST no but partly it’s his relationship to our two favorite UA teachers but also Oboro seemed like such a GEM and I want to know him as he was and I have such high hopes for where the story is currently headed… Kurogiri himself is such a cool reflection/twist of his original personality that I find myself trying to read into every appearance he makes. Save him please

5. Shigaraki - kind of more superficial to begin with because his motivations were never SUPER interesting to me but his character arc has been a joy to watch and YES I know villains and heroes alike in this story have great writing that make them sympathetic but. for me Shiggy is one of the most obvious. like he can't be forgiven because he has done SO much damage and taken SO many lives but he really is the perfect hybrid example of when heroes fail those around them, and when villains influence those around them. also his path from childish gamer tantrum child to legitimate terrifying threat was a slow burn that feels earned. I think he was also my favorite early character design, specifically his full-hand costume he wore first at the USJ

4. Shinsou - dude's personality aside he's impressively ambitious and I really feel for his circumstance, I kinda took to him like Aizawa did? i was really invested in his path from the start and really would love to see him achieve his goal. i just want to see what he'll doooo. he was a major part of why I enjoyed season 5. hopefully he makes an appearance in the manga to help with current events but I'm probably just wishfully thinking

3. All Might - i usually never like the "superman" character in most things but Toshinori is imo the best-written of them and he has such a great character arc. i want all the best for this man that gave and is giving so much to the world, all at the cost of himself

2. Dabi - HONESTLY these last two can be interchangable. Dabi's character design is probably my favorite in the entire story. it's simple but iconic and very visually appealing even though it's. dead and burned skin LMAO. i'll be brutally honest, tho Todoroki is a great character and Endeavor is definitely trying, that whole family drama is kinda disinteresting to me (but is getting better)(which I hope continues since it's the opinion of some of the more... vocal readers that it's all that carries the later story and if that's true I want to REALLY enjoy it, y'know?). i'm thankful for Dabi because his existence in the story finally has my ears perked towards that thread and I really appreciate his drive even though the intention is to destroy hero society

1. Hawks - I'm going to repeat myself: CHARACTER DESIGN. the moment I saw Hawks I was like. in love. I really like spy storylines in general but I get easily drawn to characters that are outwardly charming, friendly, a bit obnoxious, confident, and know exactly how to appear in order to communicate their intentions. But then deep down... soooo many secrets. Plus, aside from Hawks' tragic family story, his tie to Endeavor as his idol is an extreme positive for Endeavor's character arc in my eyes. Hawks' tragedy doesn't end there though, because in a world of government-sponsored heroes he is perhaps THE MOST government-sponsored, and though they were the reason he had the resources to get to where he is, it's a weakness that has him kind of leashed, and I find that really sad. then we have his ruthlessness, which no matter how you feel about what happened to Twice, is sometimes necessary when it comes to saving the most amount of people. Hawks being the one to take that final action cemented him in my top 3

Honorable mentions for the rest that fall into the black hole of spots 11-20:

Midoriya, Bakugou, Tsuyu, Nana Shimura, Kaminari (just a dumb, lovable lad), Midnight, Kirishima, Mirko, Ryukyu, Monoma, Honenuki, Fatgum (challenging Mirio for best boy placement), Endeavor
