My second batch of venture bros genderbends are finally done! :D [first set here]
PLEASE LOOK UNDER THE CUT!!! I made all these nice drawings and doodles of them and I want people to see them without this post being super long! :') [My thoughts on the designs and doodles will be under the cut as well]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay NOW I'm going talk about my thought process on some of these:
Baby Rusty: I love the baby Rusty, the frilly socks and sleeves were a must. I actually drew her with the original set of genderbends but I turned off her layer and forgot about her 💀
Jonas Jr: not much to say about her, I tried to make her like Rosie the Riveter. Her little bandana has the Venture logo on it :)
Jonas Sr: I wanted her to be a hot bitch, her outfit is maybe a little scandalous for the time era they were in but I think it fits, canon Jonas is a whore. I think everybody would want her and that every celebrity, politician, and anybody with any power would chase after her so badly.
Blue Morpho: I made her so incredibly slay. I fucking love her outfit, I found the inspo for the outfit on Pinterest but I changed it up a bit. Also her gun has the bayonetta butterfly wings on it as a charm because I HAD TO.
Colonel Gentleman: Not a lot to say, I wanted to give her like horse riding esque boots and I gave her a purple flower cause she likes the ladies. I know generally WLW flowers are Violets and Lavender but I wanted to draw a rose so, Purple rose compromise <3
Dr.Boyfriend 2: With my last round Dr.Boyfriend was the only one people had complaints with. I think people wished he was more Masculine and I agree but if I switched up the design too much it wouldn't look like Dr.Girlfriend. I hope giving him armor and making him look like a knight helped him look more masc. I made the sheer wings cross over his chest to make it look like it was holding up the shoulder armor. Also his guild book is insanely high quality because I was procrastinating drawing his armor.
Goofy and Goober (Watch and Ward): I think they ended up really cute, I tried to make their hair colors close to Doc and Jacksons since I heard they are supposed to be like their "main" self inserts. With Ward I had a really specific idea for her hair, I kept thinking about this haircut from my sims and had to do it. It might be hard to see but her ponytail holders have skull charms on them. I also purposely gave them both some sort of ponytail hairstyle so they would match but be slightly different :) (They are absolutely prank calling or trolling their clients on that phone btw)
Tumblr media
Shoreleave: OH MY GOD I LOVE SHORELEAVE. I kept turning her folder back on just to keep looking at her when I was drawing the other characters. She is so captivating to me, she looks so soft and human. I want to take a bite out of her thigh. My biggest inspo for her was Cammy from Street Fighter, I felt like her dressing a bit skimpy works for her since canon Shoreleave kinda does. The girls out for the girls.
Alchemist: I love her design so much too. I wanted her to look like some kind of nun or priestess. She looks like if a Zelda fire temple was a person. I kinda gave her like a weird little hime cut under the hood. Also I put the Triad logo on all three of their designs (+ Triana).
Jefferson: Had a lot of fun with her, I didnt change her design much from canon though so there's not much to say. I did give her more flared pants though. Drawing her hair was a really fun change of pace, I very rarely get to draw textured hair.
College Rusty and Monarch Drawing: I love this one, Monarch turned out so hot dude. You can tell what character I like more LMFAO. I made rusty very obnoxious 80s while keeping the colors of the original college rusty outfit. Monarch kind of looks like postal dude but its fine because shes slay.
Hereditary Venture Family Dinner Drawing: This was one of the first drawings I started but the second to last one I finished. I wanted to draw the family doing something together but I think I really truly just wanted to draw Dermott again. 😭 Nobody has said anything if they noticed but I did give hatred the shirt from these edits. (I believe the one on the left is from reddit and the one on the right is by SquashFold on Twitter)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dermott piercing Dean's ears drawing: Even though its messy its in the top 3 favorites I did, It was also the last one I did. I just love the idea of Dermott giving goth Dean at home ear piercings. At first I didn't know if I wanted to make Dermott giving her piercings at the mall where she works or at home but the mall idea was too much work for a last minute sketch. Dermott is so mean older sister who shoplifts and works at the mall.
Drug bathroom drawing: Another one of my favorites, its based off a specific deleted scene from Invisible Hand of Fate where Pete and Rusty talk at the bar but Pete comes out of the bathroom sniffling at the start. I love the way I drew Pete pushing the hair out of her face and both of their expressions.
Bdsm 21 drawing: Okay first of all, The little devil Monarch was so cute I was screaming, crying, and throwing up while drawing her. I fucking love her, shes the smallest part of the image but my favorite. I also am quite fond of the bdsm 21.
Quizgirls Pete and Billy: I tried looking up Vanna White dresses to base Pete's outfit off of but I couldn't find one that Pete would actually wear so I just had to make shit up. Billy's design is really basic but the bow in her hair is actually from one of my rejected main Billy genderbends.
Me and The Bestie: I put a lot of effort into this one for no reason. Literally the moment I saw Jonas in the problem machine I thought he should be made of like blue slime. When I was working on this I kept thinking about Momopatchi's Hatsune Microbe drawing so this Jonas was definitely inspired by that. I gave Jonas makeup because she was having a party movie night on gargantua and I felt like she would still have makeup on thats like completely fucked up and deteriorating on her face after many many years. Vendata's outfit was partially based on Marguerite Chapman's from Flight to Mars, never seen it but I was looking up old sci-fi movie costumes to work with and I thought it would look good :)

He’s a work in progress still but I wanted to share the first pass of his completed look so badly X)
I’ve had Sir Meteor in progress since August 2023, if you want to see the progress it will be under the read more!
Sir Meteor’s story starts with my fist kirby OC I made, Terra Knight! I won’t talk about him too much except that I knew from early on he had a older brother. TK originally has a skull mask in his very early concepts, but then I learned Axe Knight existed, and they looked too similar. I shelved the concept for a while until I had more ideas.
In August 2023, I started to sketch out allosaurus skulls because I had wanted to revisit the concept and thought maybe I would redesign Terra Knight to have a dinosaur skull mask. It did not happen, but that planted the seed.
Tumblr media
In November, I had been struck with inspiration and started doodling. The name is very important to the lore of my OCs and is very deliberate, so once I figured out the name for Sir Meteor, a lot of elements fell into place instantly!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the first time I gave Meteor colors, and I also put him next to his siblings so they would look cohesive. Me mentioning how he doesn’t even have shoes yet is foreshadowing.
In the following day, I sketched him more to get a feeling for his design!!
Tumblr media
The most notable thing about this is probably 1.) here I cemented the twin-tail cape because it looks like the tail of a comet and 2.) since it looked like a comet, I wanted the pauldron to include a star somehow
Also fun fact!!! The shape of his horns is directly inspired by Triceratops horns!!
Which led to the designing of his pauldrons later in November!
Tumblr media
I ended up combining elements of the first and third design because together they would look like shooting stars!
Tumblr media
This is also when I decided on giving him the four pointed star blushing! Around this time I posted a sketch of Meta Knight with star blushes and I wanted to include more fun blush shapes. Also the four pointed star is a subtle Galacta Knight reference! Sir Meteor is genuinely old, prehistoric even, and he comes from that time period, and I wanted the star shapes to reflect that
After this I was stuck. I was extremely stuck and could not figure out how to design his shoes. Since everything else was so themed, it had to mean the shoes had to match as well. I wanted to keep the prehistoric/star themes, going strong. I tried a few times to give him plain armor but it did not look correct at all!
I took a few months to think about it. Another important thing is that whatever shoe I drew had to look good and cohesive with AND without his skull mask. It was hard to balance but yesterday (21 February) I began to cook.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the sketch page, you can see how the thought process evolved from the top of the page downwards. You can see the “haha drawing smiles with sharp teeth- oh wait a minute hold on” happen in real time.
On the page on the right, is when I finally designed his shoes!!! THE EVIL IS DEFEATED!!!!
This character is so heavily themed and I thought about it so much. So. Much. If anyone actually read this breakdown you deserve a gold star thank you for listening to my insane, several month long thought process. I’m so proud of him for a reason. Now I need to finalize the colors and stuff but for now enjoy!

I would submit this normally but having tried that it won't let me submit more than one image and I would rather not spam this with submissions.
Wasn't originally going to draw Thornwhip again but why not give her a glow-up, considering the last drawing I did of her for Artfight was on my phone instead of my usual setup.
Although you said that everyone bar Technoblade and Witherbrand had an axe I thought it would be funny to give Flamelance an actual lance, also to avoid them looking too similar opted for a more desaturated colour scheme for 'Wither'brand and a fiery colour for 'Flame'lance.
Also thank you for the quick little doodles, they helped quite a lot. I'll most likely keep up with drawing these little characters as they're good practice for the concept art side of my classes and a good warm up too.
!!!!!!!
I can not express how giddy this makes me!! I love your style!! I particularly love that you gave them all different shades of fur, I would not have thought of that and it looks so good~
Flamelance's bone lance looks awesome and is definitely canon now (I must have misspoken in the last post: everyone used to main axes, when I did the og lineup, but we fixed that by giving Thunderbite a mace, Technoblade a greatsword, and Nightbane a longsword... it just didn't come up) and you did really well with his armor, it's so shiny!
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you like them <3

So! A while ago I made redesigns for some of my least favorite Three Houses outfits. With a lot of the female characters, it feels like the priority with their design is "show boobs and/or bare legs". Obviously, I don't claim to be better at character design than the original artists, but here's my take with the following priorities (in order):
Representing the character and making them easily identifiable. Basically, the design should serve as a "condensed" version of their personality, abilities, culture, etc.
An outfit that I find (with my 100% correct and objective opinion, of course) to be attractive
Being reasonably practical, at least enough that it doesn't break immersion. Considers the character's job, available resources, etc.
Ordinarily I'd design an outfit to go with the character's body type, but I was lazy here lol. If people are interested, I could draw nice versions on the actual characters sometime. Oh, BTW, the concept for this post was heavily inspired by looking through the @bikiniarmorbattledamage tumblr :))))
Below are detailed descriptions on how I went about designing them, if anyone's curious! I will be bashing the original designs quite a bit because I find it funny, but I hold absolutely no disrespect toward anyone who prefers them to my poorly-thought-out versions :)
Bernadetta – I feel like the designers were trying to combine the female archer class outfit, Bernie’s own girly/plushie aesthetic, and the “fancy noble lady” style and it didn’t quiiiiiite work out. I really like the color scheme & overall shapes, so I just went about changing the few things that ruined it for me.
First off, the huge bell sleeves. They’re just silly and don’t match the outfit imo. I turned them into an elaboration on her cute gloves.
Gave her pants instead of booty shorts. I don’t think Bernie would wear a long skirt that would keep her from running around, but the exposed legs give her a “vulnerable” look that I don’t think she’d appreciate. Plus, having the leg-pouch strapped to her bare skin looked really uncomfy ☹.
The boots didn’t work as well with her shiny new Pants, so I gave her knitted leg-warmer things inspired by this gorgeous cipher art.
I expanded her leg-pouch-thing and gave her a teeny little dagger. I just think she’d carry weapons on her person.
Constance – Honestly, credit to her for doing the best she could with the god-awful Dark Flier class design. I still think her outfit is pretty ugly and sexist, so I made some adjustments. I tried to evoke a “noble lady” feeling, but keep the muted color scheme and lack of patterns to imply that she’s actually dirt-poor. I took inspiration from people like Ferdie (noble vibe; armor purely for show not practicality) but with her personal “edgy steampunk vampire” aesthetic.
I changed her stupid boob-cup breastplate. I don’t even care about the dangers of wearing boobplate in realistic combat—it just looks ugly. Like why do you need to go to extra trouble to say “I have BOOBS! TWO of them!!”? It’s embarrassing. I mean it’s fine if you’re proud of your boobs, but then don’t cover them up with metal maybe???
I realized that the designers probably gave her boobplate because, without it, her outfit isn’t actually all that feminine. Coco is a pretty feminine lady, so I remedied this by giving her puffy sleeves (inspired by the Awakening Dark Flier design) and a skirt-thing (with an awkward slit that would allow her to sit on a horse). The skirt had the added bonus of being incompatible with the stupid butt-grabbing hip armor. Good riddance!
Traded in her bare legs for some silly suspender-sock-things. I just thought they worked better with the skirt and more “girly” outfit overall. Also gave her shin-guards to extend the pink color scheme throughout the whole outfit.
I also changed her dress into a stylish vest that, imo, looks nicer (and comfier) with the armor. I gave her some gold accents on the vest & armguards for a dash of color.
Her belt got a revamp to work better with the vest.
Lysithea – On to our favorite doily princess! Her design doesn’t reek as much of “boobs and/or legs priority”, but it’s still silly and looks pretty uncomfortable. I actually really like the aesthetic, so I tried to keep it as much as possible. I did end up having to introduce another color (silver), though.
I think her doily skirt looks extra silly because it’s so dwarfed by her sleeves. I lengthened it, made it puffier, and added another layer beneath it.
More drastically, I ended up changing the whole top of the dress so it was a shirt & skirt instead. I’m not sure I have a justification for this beyond “I don’t usually prefer dresses”, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out 😊 Also, what’s with the weird rows of ribbons(???) at her sides? Into the trash lol.
The ribbon attachment looks like it would be really cold on her bare chest ☹. I moved it down to the level of her shirt and attached it to her shoulders instead of her neck (for comfort).
Her shoes got boringer but less dumb-looking. What can I say, I’m not good at designing shoes.
Hapi – Hers is the least-bad of the Ashen Wolves’ timeskip designs, not that that’s saying much. I don’t really like gray and green as a color scheme, so I gave her a bit of brown and some more gold accents. Other than that, I feel like she has a sort of forest girl/witch/traveler look, which I tried to keep as much as possible.
Obviously, the silly boob-separator strap had to go. I have no problems with Hapi being sexy, but she’s much more the “forgot to put on my pants when I rolled out of bed at 1:00pm” type rather than the “put extra effort into showing that I have TWO BOOBS” type. Therefore, I kept a similar amount of skin showing but tried to make it easier to assemble.
Her new skirt was based on the Valkrie designs from other games (you’ll notice the similarity to the Mist-inspired outfit in this post). I think this version is both cuter and looks easier to move in. Also, I love giving everyone too many belts! Hers has a lil pouch for carrying random junk she finds.
Both her arms and legs looked a little boring imo, so I gave her some pretty bracelets and altered her shoes. Plus, her original boots looked hard to move in. Here, the actual boot is pretty loose but is tied below the knee with an extra laceable piece and above the knee with a brown strap.
Petra – Ho boy. I always felt like Petra’s design could be potentially problematic, although I’ve never done any research. Anywayyyy, it’s clear that the designers wanted something “exotic”-looking, but they had no ideas beyond “well she’s from a warm climate right” (In reality, someone from a warm climate would probably be unadjusted to the cold and bundle up… but that goes against the goal of “condensed character description” so I don’t really mind). Instead, I took a lot of inspiration from this awesome Cipher art! Her color scheme is a hot mess but not without potential, and personally I think I did okay with it!
Ok, ok, her design also does a decent job of indicating that she’s royalty from a hunting-focused nation. When re-doing her top I tried to keep that in mind, so I gave her some fancy jewelry and animal goods (i.e. fluff). I don’t feel like re-iterating the boobplate argument, so suffice to say that her breastplate suffered the same fate as Constance’s.
I adjusted her arm jewelry to be more to my liking. Not really any logic there.
Her miniskirt is pretty dumb, so I changed the shape and incorporated some hip armor (someone tell me the official name). I also took away the fluffy fringe, seeing as she already got some fluff around her neck. Instead, I added the pattern that was originally on her leg-band.
Do I need to explain giving her another pant leg? I know her outfit is based on the female thief class, but it doesn’t look good there either. And once again, I had no ideas for her shoes beyond not liking the old ones ☹.

Here we are! My version of the older gaang!
I'm gonna detail some of my thought processes below the cut
Tumblr media
(Original for reference)
So for Aang, I had several gripes about his older version. The first and biggest one was that he looked wayyy to angular, so I softened up his feautures. Additionally, he's supposed to be about 23 in that drawing, and I mean, I thought he looked much much older than that (being 22 I think I have a little insight), so I tried to keep him a little uounger looking as well. Next problem was his clothes. To be perfectly fair I hated just about everything about them lol. Weird long-sleeve shirt under a vest/cape under a sash? It looked. Silly. I opted to keep his clothing similar to his Book 3 outfit, as I really liked it, and added his prayer beads(?), as well as a betrothal necklace! I feel by this point he and Katara would likely be married, and I liked the idea of Katara carving a necklace for Aang
For Katara, at first glance I didn't dislike her design, but then I looked at it closer. The short-sleeved shirt with the fur, implying that its made of quite a heavy and thick fabric sounds like a sensory nightmare. She appears to be wearing a shirt underneath, but the sleeves are clearly no longer than the topshirt, which seems. Weird and unnecessary. Skirt was okay, just a little boring, and she also is wearing pants underneath? So what I did was keep the general vibe, but made the top robe longer, and keep the bottom layer as just pants, trying to be more reminiscent of her old outfits. Gave the belt a little more ✨️pizazz✨️, and also gave her back her water pouch. I liked it, wanted her to have it. The last big change I did was I read up on Inuit tattoos, and decided to give her tattoos as well (Sokka was also originally going to get tattoos, but as it turns out the practice is almost done exclusively by woken and for women, so I decided against it)
Toph. I completely hated and have always hated the notion of her being a cop. It just. Doesn't really sit in line with her as a character imo. My other big gripe is they did nothing different to her hair! Anywho. So my biggest challenge was what would Toph actually do in the future? And I landed on pro-bending! I think she would have really enjoyed it, she'd get to Earthbend for a living (one of her favorite things), kick people's asses (another favorite thing), and make hella money (another favorite thing!) So I decided to put her in a pro-bending uniform, and try to imagine what early ones would look like (I figure she'd probably be one of the first pro-benders). Not much changed to be perfectly honest, aside from some coloring differences, more green trim denoting her as an Earthbender, rather than the neutral yellow/ reddish trim on the modern ones (also I realized only now that i covered her feet. Woops lol). I also chopped her hair short. I think she deserves it (eventually I'll get around to drawing a more up close version of her face/hair)
Zuko. Umm. His outfit baffles me. I cannot make any sense of it tbh. The shirt under the shoulder armor under the outer robe. The motorcycle-esque saddle bags. The skirt over the longer skirt. It all had to go lolol. I get that they were going for him being more like, adventure-ready/battle-ready, but he has a country to run! And is also trying to move away from the heavy militaristic/imperialistic image of said country. So I gave him a more relaxed, diplomatic looking outfit. Also. Where did his crown go? I put that back. He's the oldest of the groip, but still not quite 30. He's the only one that recieved any age lines, and it's just between his eyebrows (I imagine doing paperwork and sitting in meetings would make him furrow his brow a lot). Gave him the teeniest bit of facial hair, tbh I truly think the only one to grow reliable facial hair at this age range is Sokka lol
In my personal opinion, Sokka's original design is the best one. My least favorite part is probably the compression sleeve under the arm wraps, which seems redundant somehow. But overall not too bad! Still, I said I was gonna redesign them all, and I knew I could add a lil more sparkle to it. I wanted to take inspiration from Hakoda's outfits. Sokka really looks up to his dad, so I feel like modeling some of his clothing after him isn't a stretch at all. I also just personally believe that Sokka would wesr Uggs. So I've given him shoes similar to them lolol. Also gave him some facial hair starting to become similar to his dad's as well

impulsively made designs for the voices! they're kind of more like concepts so they're likely to change if I get better ideas for them. I didn't want to make them too complex and give them pinterest outfits lol (I might do that another time though). notes for each voice under the cut!
Hero: I was kind of inspired when a friend said they'd picture that Hero would have similar armor to Artorias from Dark Souls, partially the reason I started drawing the voices
Contrarian: the first thought was to make him a jester, but I thought that's what people would usually imagine him as. so I gave him something more modern to stand apart from the rest of the voices where they're all medieval-ish. also the only voice with a completely round head and the only one without a lower eyelid. he looks silly too so bonus points for that. Contrarian can open his other eye, the diamond on his face is like a tattoo of sorts lol. The X on his chest is a reference to the Razor when he skewers himself (or ourself but same difference)
Stubborn: the first one I actually tried to design. I had the idea of giving a sharper, more prominent chin to the voices who seem more likely to resort to violence. the only idea I had for him was his arms so I had to google and this is the best I could come up with
Hunted: my first roadblock. I was clueless and even considered leaving him as just the base form, but a friend suggested giving him a bandana on his neck, so I did that. a little later I decided to make him fluffy instead of giving him clothes and it took a bit to figure out how to do that
Cold: I found an outfit while I was looking for ideas for Stubborn and I thought it was perfect for Cold. my original idea was just a scarf, but I really liked what I found. don't mind the bad posing by the way lmao, I had an idea for a separate art piece but executed that very poorly so now it's part of the design drawings
Smitten: I got some inspiration from Reverse 1999 for this one actually, but the idea was a little too similar to Hero so I mixed that in with something a bard might wear and gave him a funny feathery hat
Paranoid: I drew him before this post and nothing changed from there. the eye on his hood is one sided and there's nothing else underneath. I don't know how to fit all the details in a pose that would make sense so I'll make another post later lol
Broken: in the Tower route pledging yourself kind of was like becoming a priest for her or something so I gave him the first thing I saw on pinterest when I was looking for priest like clothes. there's a shard of glass connecting the cloak together. he also has stab wounds on his torso from the Tower route
Skeptic: so the last three I struggled to think of designs for so much. he has a scar on his neck from just before the Drowned Grey route where giving him the knife would get him to slit the player's throat. the outfit was inspired by something I found on pinterest and thought the chain going across could somewhat be like the chain going around the player's neck
Cheated: this took the longest to figure out and I gave up on thinking of something. I just gave him whatever outfit I could find on pinterest I thought that would fit him lmao. the only thing I managed to think of was putting bandages around his wrist. he has a scar under the bandages from the Razor
Opportunist: I don't know what I was thinking when I designed him or his clothes. I think he just kind of gave me merchant vibes so I tried going for that and gave him a silly hat. he's definitely not hiding a blade behind his back. the coin was just an extra thing I thought of adding. I ran out of paper space on the page and didn't want to put Opportunist on a different page all by himself so he's the only one without a full body drawing, but it wouldn't make much of a difference if it was a full body

Chapter: AXL Development Documents, Axl's MMZ Redesign
Make sure to look at the picture descriptions for each of these! They contain more information about the designs and I put them in like this to make the blog post less bloated than it already is.
Fun fact, I did redesign Axl into a MMZ character one and a half years prior to that "life-changing" Halloween art. I didn't know anything about the series yet aside from some basic concepts and I didn't understand its style much yet, but I still wanted to go an do that.
Tumblr media
Well, you can certainly say I tried. His character was also altered, with him becoming a pacifistic hermit that lives with a real dog in a forest (it doesn't make much sense but 14 year-old me thought differently at the time). However, you can probably see some design quirks already that ultimately got used again in his look for Chapter: AXL, a scar over the right eye and shorts with suspenders in particular. There's actually a reason for this choice of clothing though since I did see something like this in his original MMX design, and I thought it could make the design more "fresh" while staying true to what was before (even if it does look a little goofy).
Then, a year and almost a half later, I came up with the idea of making a MMZ Halloween Axl drawing as a follow-up to the MMX Halloween Axl one I did a year prior (I will probably post it on Halloween this year on my random blog). This resulted in me coming up with a redesign for Axl, starting from a clean slate.
Something curious that I've noticed while looking into the design of Zero here was that... his silhouette was mostly the same. Despite the entire body overcoming changes, you could still recognize that it was Zero thanks to the hair and the shape of the helmet, mimicking what came before through the silhouette itself. That also was the design philosophy that Keiji Inafune persued and the only advice he gave to the designing team when they were trying to design Axl for X7, and that's... a really great tip to character design/redesign as a whole.
Tumblr media
I was trying to follow the 'memorable silhouette' tip while remaking Axl for MMZ universe, but unfortunately I wasn't able to change his helmet much without losing the silhouette so I left it mostly as-is. Some parts of his armor do look strange (like boots for example) or too similar to what came before (the shoulderpads), the wings pack (or whatever it's called) looks really different and blocky, and the jets on his feet are a bit weird too, but I still think I did a good job reimagining this design, to the point of not changing it much in the next revisions.
I was trying to make Axl look sharper and more mature than before. I gave him a serious look, a few new scars (one on the left cheek as a reference to Grey and another over the right side of the face as a reference to Red), a blind right eye and a jacket with high collar (that doesn't close all the way because of the chest crystal). Shorts on suspenders still remained, though... which still kinda makes sense because he was supposed to still be young here, plus they help greatly with retaining the same "silhouette" as before. In addition, they actually have a functionality - Axl keeps his scythe folded behind the back and suspenders keep them safely in one place.
Oh, and yeah, this time Axl was supposed to become a grim reaper much like Red. I saw this as fitting, like he was following his old friend's footsteps, and eventually I realized it would be a great melee/middle-range weapon for him.
However, once I decided to make a full-blown game concept out of "What if Axl was in MMZ?", I chose to redesign him, to make him more in-line with the official designs (You can judge how close I came to that as I am still not sure if I am good at imitating them).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the longest time, I thought that I perfected his design, but eventually as I started to fool around with the sprite arting, I realized that it was difficult for me to translate all of his details into a sprite while dealing with color and size limitations (which resulted in me never finishing that sprite too *chuckle*). I ended up going around all of the characters I had and giving them redesigns if needed, removing the unnessesary details (or adding on new stuff for some that needed them to fit in better). Axl was one of them... a-a-a-and I never remade his character art. Fortunately, I still have the promo art I did a few months ago and he had that design here.
Tumblr media
And actually, there was one more redesign in July I did for the visual novel adaptation of Chapter: AXL (which I decided to put on hiatus for now because doing all that alone would stagnate the main project badly). It just removed the scar on his left cheek. I just thought that it wasn't necessary for now (maybe he will get it back during the story, who knows).

NUMBER 57 Sakura Edge (Custom Builds X2)
Grabbed some more Number 57 kits. Again, blown away by these models. Sakura Edge is very different from Esis, but still does a ton of really cool stuff unique to it. While Esis was a bunch of smaller, combinable builds, Sakura comes into her own with her color options, combinable weapons, and bonuses. If you've never tried out any of these before, grab one and give it a whirl; I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The Good: While this kit appears straightforward at first, it comes with a surprising amount of options. All the non-gold armor parts come in solid colors (white, pink, and grey) and translucent colors (smokey clear and red), so you can go with either scheme or mix-and-match. There were also a few last-minute inclusions that really raise it up, including a second face option (again in both colors) and posable fingers for the giant hand, which weren't in the original instructions.
As for the actual kit, it's also very cool. The giant back hand stands out at first, but the real draw is the weapons. She comes with three kunai, a large shurriken, three different types of swords, and a transforming gunblade. And on top of that, they can all combine. They can form a giant sword by combining everything, or you can do several smaller combinations.
The Bad: My only real issue with the kit is the asymmetrical parts. Parts like the shoulders and backpack arm can be built to work on either side, but the arm guards and hip skirt are only asymmetrical. I was really hoping the build these two symmetrically, but that didn't end up happening.
The Details: So let's take this one at a time:
Red: For the red build, I used all the translucent build parts. I also used the larger shoulder pads and giant hands from both kits. For weapons, I used both full combo swords in the translucent colors. Lastly, I went with the translucent oni face mask to differentiate her from her sister.
Pink: For the pink build, I primarily used the solid colors. I wanted to use the solid pinks and whites for the most part, so if there was a spot I could use the smokey grey over solid grey I chose to do so. I did swap out the inner chest and left leg to give it a pop of color. I kept all the weapons separated for the most part to give her a heavily weaponized feel. Lastly, I went with the standard face, and gave her a bit of heterochromia.
Overall, a great kit, even if you only buy one, and not two like me. I have another kit on order that hasn't come out yet, but I'm definitely going to keep my eye on this company going forward, as their kits have just been great bang-for-your-buck bangers so far.

Find the Word Tag
Stolen from @frozen-fountain! This one looked amazingly fun, and it turned out to be wicked hard for me. So I'm no-pressure tagging... @greenjudy, @taraxacum13, @ladykf-writes, @makoheadrush and uh... Honestly, anyone who wants to do this.
Rules: Search your writing for the following words, and post an excerpt containing them. Your words are blood, soft, feather, and sunlight.
My words were: grey, ocean, bitter, and ash.
Grey
It was, in fact, four days later before they left for Soldier's Peak. Alistair spent the first day sleeping off the wine, and the next day, they had to pack up their crew. All in all, they ended up with twenty -five men and women who had volunteered for the Wardens. Packing up twenty-five men and women took time. And that didn't mention how long it took for the Queen to get twenty-five matching gray horses. The dogs were perhaps the easiest thing to get. They came with a pair of handlers content to let them roam without leash or harness. They commanded the beasts with little more than words. Some days, Ferelden gave Zevran a headache. He would never get used to this country and its people. Especially when he watched a pack of dogs, each one the size of Rabbit. Zevran had convinced himself that Rabbit was perhaps the exception to Fereldan dogs. Solona could have enchanted him to be bigger, fiercer, smarter. He had ignored her laughing at the idea, but now, faced with a row of dogs all just like him, he had to admit that he was wrong. Rabbit was not an exceptional beast here in this country. He was part of a legacy of dog breeding and training that no other country could match. The dogs wore their armor better than most men. Those who wore no armor wore paint more intricate than any artwork Zevran had seen in the country thus far. One of them had watched a child trying to mount a horse. The poor lad had been failing because he was too short to reach the stirrups. The dog had watched for several moments before he trotted over to the horse and crouched down. He let the boy climb on him first before he stood to put him high enough to get in the saddle. It had been unnerving, to say the least. Zevran had to admit that if the entire country was like this, he could understand why the Maker had chosen to draw his bride from these people. They were a people who took what happened and carried on, no matter how much sorrow came from it. They were the only people who could have shaped Andraste.

Ocean
His only mistake had been thinking he could play this. Sokka swallowed, and when Zhao touched two fingers to his chin, he pushed himself up to his feet. It was an absent gesture that he used to dust off his skirt. "Yes, well, that would presume that I have made mistakes to forgive," he said, struggling to keep his expression even. "Thus far, I have committed to nothing." Zhao shifted, but Sokka kept his attention on the decor in the room, on walking in slow, small steps around the table Zhao had seated him at. He could remember his mother walking this way when she had on more skirts. "Nothing? Surely not. You have committed to something or Zuko would not be carting you about the oceans." His pulse was too fast. Purposely, he tried to focus on the rhythm of the ocean. It was the same ocean that touched the poles, the same water that their benders drew their power from. While he was only a warrior, he liked to think that maybe it could sense the Water Tribe in his blood and give him some kind of power too. "Zuko and I have reached an understanding," he said, and he glanced over at Zhao before he made him smile. "It took us some time to do so, and I am not so quick to throw it out yet, you understand." Zhao's smile faded, and he stood up. Sokka's breath hitched, but he held his ground as Zhao approached him and bent down so that his face was much closer to Sokka. "I would not cling to such a boy for overly long, my dear," he said, and how soft his voice had gone sent chills down Sokka's back. "So long as he upholds his end, I will do the same." Sokka looked up at Zhao, and when he noticed the heat building in the air between them, he smiled as disarmingly as he could manage. "Do you play Pai Sho, General?"

Bitter
"I want you to stand up for things you believe in, Irvine," she whispered, "but I also want you to trust me. I'm your mother–" "And I love you. You are my mother, and I'm supposed to defend you." Irvine tightened his grip on the gun before he opened the chamber to show her. "It's not loaded, Mom. Martine still has all of the ammo." He tasted something bitter in the back of his throat, but he pushed it down. She wouldn't find the small box of bullets pressed up against the wall under his bed. She sighed, the wind of her anger having escaped with his interruption. "Fine. Shoot the gun if you must." Her hands touched his shoulders lightly though, and he looked up at her, swallowing. "But swear to me, Irvine. Swear that you won't enroll in Garden. I don't want you to be a SeeD." "Mrs. Dodonna?" The voice from the hallway was unexpected, but welcome. Irvine and Isobel both quickly glanced up, and the maid in the door bobbed her head before dipping into a slight curtsey. "My apologies for interrupting, ma'am, but the voice teacher is waiting in the music room." Isobel nodded and smiled warmly to the woman. "Of course. Irvine, why don't you go practice? We can talk later." She carefully took the gun from him, pushed him toward the door, and stood, dusting off the knees of her pants. He watched her lay the gun on his pillow before he let the maid steer him down the hallway, and he closed his eyes as he heard his mother's coughing start again.
Pressure, Book 1: Memories (Final Fantasy VIII, A backstory fic for Irvine Kinneas.)
Ash
"Princess Sokka, follow me!" Sokka didn't need to be told twice as he chased after Princess Yue. She reached back to grab his hand, to keep him with her, and they plunged through the chaos. Buildings had been scorched and melted by firebenders, and while the thing that Aang had turned into was wiping away firebenders as easily as dusting snow off a coat, the feet still plunged through the ice and snow of the buildings. Water Tribe all around them stayed pressed to the ground, and Sokka wasn't sure he blamed them. If it wasn't for Zuko and Katara, he wasn't sure he'd be on his own feet. Princess Yue's hand squeezed his tightly, and they darted around waterbenders who were only slowly beginning to look up. A chorus of voices behind them, all calling for the princess or for aid or simply crying out in anguish, filled the air, and Sokka tried not to think about it. He ignored the filthy snow, ignored the way the ash made the snow wetter than usual, made it slick and hard to walk in, especially in his simple silk slippers. He'd lived through this all once before. He had no doubt he’d live through it many more times before it was all over. (Some small part of him had thought, had hoped desperately, that the last time would be the last time. He and Zuko had an understanding. They had a future— didn't they?)

Number 5!
Closing us out for the girls:
The amazingly talented PearlescentMoon!
It took us a little while to choose an origin for her exactly because she has such a versatile style of playing the game. Once that small dripleaf she planted started growing into a mighty beanstalk thou we decided to give her a golden goose and make her an avian. Which only fit better and better with the series continuing.
Tumblr media
So at the point of picking her origin I had already drawn the other Avian, so i only had to sketch up the goose specific parts of her. I tried to give her a crown of feathers but it was nothing special, similarly I also tried to make her nose into her beak- meh.
Overall for the Avians I gave them bird legs, because they don't take fall damage plus have a little faster running speed and instead of extra wings they get feathery arms for their slow falling to explain them not being able to turn that off ever (for example axe critting is very difficult to impossible with slow falling, because they'd have to spread their arms for that, get it?)
Also yeah, you can get a little sneak peak for Scott's sketch as a bonus here.
Tumblr media
Her design was actually so much fun once I got into the drawing! I was kinda dreading her, because I had such high hopes and really wanted to do her justice. But it worked out so well! I'm still kinda shook.
Her being the brawn of the series, I just had to give her proper armor and tools to fight! Also, the sunflowers and (more) elaborate hairstyle are to make up for the lack of crown in my design (and battle friendlier).
Figuring out her cloths to fit around the feathers was a bit awkward, but I managed. Also I decided against a beak here, because I just couldn't make it look not goofy..
Oh and- I guess we can really tag the one depicted for once! @pearlescentmoo - thank you for the amazing videos ^^

in this massive essay I’m going to elaborate on Kaeya’s Cryo Herald form and I like the concept I came up with:
People close to him have heard of this tale. The gossips have flown wide in what was left of the nation, prompting people to ask Kaeya about it. When questioned about this impressive feat, he has smiled serenely and gave a simple answer: ''Ah, this...? I just happened to find him during one of my stroll. He seemed to be in a bit of a pickle, so I helped him out. It's all that there is, really.''
This may be the only time where Kaeya tells the truth spontaneously.
There's nothing more to add; no flair, no dramaticity. There wasn't a fight to death to possess eachother. For him, this is a simple rebound of what happened many years ago, as the young prince was exploring and noting down changes in the atmosphere as usual.
From the Herald's point of view, however... this is the tale of a Cryo Herald gone rogue. But, again: there’s no tragic heroism, there’s nothing and nobody to save, and it kept getting worse.
Heralds weren't always creatures of the Abyss; here was a time, before The Cataclysm destroyed Khaenri'ah, when they were simple people. That time, however, is long gone.
The collapse of the ancient city that dared to toy with mortal sins left only ruins, and the greedy emptiness without bounds and laws that was the Abyss swallowed what was left of it. Not all the survivors could adapt to the slow, unevitable merge between the void absorbing more energy into itself. As the Abyss became Khaenri'ah, the survivors tried their best to adjust to it. The Heralds were born with an excess of merged energy, preaching their deranged hymns to control the mutated Mages.
He remembers a name, Geir, one who wields the spear, and assumes that it had been his name once. Other than this, he no longer recalls anything else as his mind succumbed to the energy overload. Perhaps he had a family. A loved one, children to take care of? Friends, a stable job at court. He remembers the palace before it's collapse, so this must be some of his past life.
In his wanderings, as he tried to pierce together anything recognizable, he kept being attacked: the abyssal creatures chipped away at his armor bit by bit despite his efforts to fight back, and the essence that poured out of the crack left space for the poisonous energy to amass in his body. Yet, he kept fighting: that's all he could do, all that kept existing to him in the corrosion, to maim and try new techniques to ensure that nothing was left of the enemies but ashes.
Somewhere along his path, it ceased to be ‘Geir’ and started to be ‘it’. There was nothing human left.
It killed cursed monsters that were once its peers and dangerous beasts alike, no longer finding pleasure or emotions in anything that didn't drew blood and carnage. Muscle memory and the remnants of its training, along with the satisfaction of causing bloodshed, was all that kept the armor on its feet.
And when there were no more fights to be had, what was left of the Herald once, possibly, called Geir, dragged itself against some rocks to cease existing in peace.
This is how a young Kaeya found him: something barely left of the armor, little left of it's mind devoured by the abyssal energy. Yet, it still called out to him, the amass of energy similiar to a call for help. It wanted a purpose, and Kaeya wanted more power.
''This is no place to die, but you're in a pretty bad shape.'' The prince was barely fourteen, approaching the consumed soul in front of him with a goal in mind: more to learn. ''Come to me.''
And when he awoke again, they were one.
It wasn't an easy feat to control the Herald, due to how feral he had become. Yet, with patience, the prince managed to subdue and, why not, somehow befriend it. The more the Herald stayed in Kaeya's body, the more it started to find enough humanity to regain part of its original personality. And the more it started to find its personality back, the more power Kaeya could draw from it. It was mutually beneficial.
The Heralds wielding the power of Cryo are somehow more subdued, their deranged demeanor hidden under cold, detached manners.
This one, affected by abyssal energy for so long, had lost any inhibition and all sense of manners. It has no filter, it acts how it wants, and the abyss forever calls to their mind, drawing it in to any form of familiar energy. When it starts on a topic that it knows, it will preach to Kaeya about it even if the prince knows about it already. Mischievous in nature, its impulse is to fight and Kaeya calls upon it whenever he needs more raw strenght. There's truly nothing else that draws its deranged side like the proximity of the abyssal radiations.
Due to their merging, someone ignorant to the ordeal wouldn't be able to tell where Kaeya Alberich ends, and where the Herald begins.
In fact, Kaeya's tale about what happened is simple and straightforward: he helped it, and it lended him its powers.
Pure and simple.

Feather Dance
Rating: Teen and Up Relationships: Yennefer of Vengerberg/Original Male Character Tags: Yennefer of Vengerberg, Original Witcher Character, Royalty, Pre-cannon, Ballroom Dancing, Flirting Description: Amateur dancing in a stuffy ballroom.
read here on ao3 (account only), full fic below the cut
Zafir enjoyed many benefits during his time in Aedirn, from a room in Vengerberg’s castle to the finest meals fit for a king. Certainly, he traveled within the kingdom’s borders in confidence knowing its people would actually give him due respect. While in Vengerberg in midsummer, the monarchy invited him to a court ball. It felt odd, like he was living a life completely different from his own. Being treated as a knight would, while still tiptoeing around the complicated relationship Aedirn shared with its surrounding kingdoms. All together, it was like he was both a spectator and a participant. He was still unsure what to make of it all, even though he had been a resident for about a decade now.
Zafir arrived at the ball on time, adorning his newest set of Griffon armor, crafted by some of the finest dwarven smiths in Vergen. He also kept his medallion and swords--while they were more than likely unnecessary, it was a symbol of his status as a witcher. He had changed his hair to befit the occasion, fancifully braiding it away from his face, while leaving the rest of it down to fall into white waves around his shoulders. The black streaks on the left side of his face were also pulled back into the braid. He adorned a cloak gifted to him by Aedirn’s monarchy, and a few rings along both sets of fingers. The guards let him through without even asking for invitation, and he was welcomed by the castle’s servers, who gave courteous bows to the witcher before them. Arriving in the main ballroom, there were already dances taking place. Nobles and politicians gathered along the sides, exchanging conversation and sipping on expensive drinks. Music echoed beautifully from all around Zafir, as he made his way deeper in. He found the royal family sitting at the very back. He kneeled before them, as was the proper etiquette for Griffons. The king and queen stood, bowed, and greeted Zafir. The king stepped towards the witcher.
"Welcome," He smiled widely. "The festivities have barely begun. Come, I want you to meet someone." Zafir nodded. Of course, he respected the family and the king, but over the years he grew weary of the ruler. There were many instances where the king tried to draw Zafir into political matters, in which the Griffon made it clear on multiple occasions it goes against his code and purpose. His suspicion only grew as he was led through the crowd, where a woman in black and white stood, mostly isolated. Her hair fell in black waves past her shoulders, and Zafir couldn’t help but admire her figure from the back. She turned, and Zafir was faced with one of the most beautiful women he's laid eyes on. He was caught up in her violet gaze, but remained completely composed. "This is our new advisor from Aretuza, Yennefer of Vengerberg. Yennefer, I introduce you to the Griffon of Aedirn, Zafir of Spalla."
Zafir bowed, while Yennefer stood with a more or less bored expression. He offered his hand. "May we dance?"
Yennefer's lips twitched in a smirk, and she laid her hand into his. "A witcher at a ball, perhaps Aedirn isn't as boring as I thought it would be," The mage said.
Zafir hummed, and now that they stood next to one another closely, her scent filled his senses, and he was even more drawn to her. Yet, as they formally danced, her dangerous aura engulfed him completely. After a few heartbeats of silence, Zafir spoke in a hushed tone. "You are not fond of this place, why?"
Yennefer cast her eyes down, swallowing. "It's… a bit complicated."
"Everything is complicated in the world of politics," Zafir twirled her, catching her in his embrace and locking their contrasting eyes. "As I am certain you have come to realize."
"I was originally assigned to Nilfgaard," Bitterness seeped into her tone, she stared up at Zafir with clear resentment.
"Then you dodged a jugular bound arrow," Zafir said, plainly. "The south grows more menacing by the hour."
Yennefer gave a slight nod, focusing now on where she placed her feet. While a graceful dancer, she felt amateur compared to Zafir, which came to her surprise. All this time she thought witchers were nothing more than men of indignant strife. And yet, this witcher showed humble nobility rivaling that of knights and lords. Perhaps it had more to do with his training, and that all but confirmed it when she glanced at his medallion that took the form of a griffon's head. Of course, she heard few things about witchers to begin with other than what was whispered at Aretuza, but she knew a few basics. Witchers did not all come from one school, for example, but seven. She had not memorized any of them, for she had no need. Zafir caught on to her staring at his medallion, and, while still keeping in step, lifted her chin with a gloved hand. She swallowed thickly as his eyes searched her expression. Caught up in the moment, Yennefer misstepped and began to slip, Zafir caught her by the waist, hand pressed to the small of her back. The mage felt heat creep up her neck, embarrassment plain in her expression. The edges of the witcher's lips twitched upwards.
"Bite me," She attempted a growl, but it came out with less bite than she intended. Zafir parted his lips, guiding her back upright.
"I meant no offense," He said. He twirled her a final time, before leading her off the main floor. Yennefer took a moment to straighten her dress, feeling flustered and yet, bristling at the prospect of this witcher attempting to show decency. She picked up another drink, and downed it. Zafir watched, allured but also reeling himself back. In the few moments they spent, tangled in elegant dance, his mood shifted from intrigued to enraptured. Yet he felt he stared at something unattainable, making her even more appealing.
"How has a witcher found himself in the company of nobles and royalty?" Yennefer asked after a moment, she began walking towards one of the side doors that led out of the main hall and onto a balcony. Zafir trailed behind her.
"The School of the Griffon prides itself on etiquette and service to those that are helpless. Unlike other schools who are more focused on the sword and brute strength, we are very appealing to kings and kin for our vast knowledge and strict code," He said. "I am not, however, a political advisor. That goes against everything the Griffon teaches."
As they stepped out into the cool air, they found themselves mostly isolated from the rest of the ballroom's guests. Yennefer leaned forward on the railing, Zafir taking up a similar position next to her. "So what is it you do, exactly?" Yennefer narrowed her gaze at him.
"Kill monsters and help people avoid such threats, as most witchers do. My payment usually comes from the royal family, however," He looked over the city of Vengerberg below them. "And not from the commoners who can barely afford a meal, let alone a witcher."
"I suppose they house and feed you too, like you are one of them."
"And why would they not?" Zafir smirked. "You have some very odd, but understandable, misconceptions about witchers." Yennefer let out a laugh. Zafir turned to face the ballroom so as to not be drawn in closer, leaning back against the railing and crossing his arms. “In reality, I despise these sorts of events. A ballroom is no place for a witcher, no matter how courtly he may be.”
Yennefer glimpsed up at him, straightening. “I’m still used to getting invited in the first place.” The witcher raised an inquiring brow, but nothing more, the sorceress lightly scuffed the brick below with her heel. “So maybe I will agree with enough time.”
Zafir hummed. “Honestly, this is probably the longest I have ever stayed.”
Yennefer scoffed. “Can’t have anything to do with me,” She said sardonically.
"If you resent it so much here," Zafir offered his elbow again. "Why not walk out?"
Yennefer eyed him. She shrugged and accepted his offer, if not begrudgingly. "Fine, witcher, impress me."

Writer’s comment: this is a finale of the, “Titan origins” story line, showing how Titan’s rebellion and his feat which gave him the position of leader of the titan division. If you want to see the previous part the link is right here, https://www.tumblr.com/suprgamr66/745700484346724352/the-infinitewatch-chronicles-titan-origins-part-i
The infinitewatch chronicles: Titan origins finale
Infinite and Titan stared each other down, knowing what would happen next. Infinite charged Titan and Titan drew his staff. He launches his staff at infinite but he slides under the staff. He jumps up and draws his sword. Infinite attempts an overhead swing of his sword but Titan draws his ax and blocks the blow. He recalls the staff and it flies back his hand. He swings the staff and hits infinite in the head. Infinite falls to the ground and Titan tries to split infinite’s head with his ax. Before Titan could land his shot infinite rolls out of the way and quickly slices the joint behind the knee with his power stone knife. Titan yells out in pain and extends his arm towards infinite. He blasts infinite with atomic breath. Infinite crossed his arms dark energy encased his arms. The atomic breath was deflected around him and he screamed with effort as the dark energy began flickering. Titan began growling with determination but his atomic breath began failing. It stopped and infinite sighed with relief. Titan said, “what’s wrong, run out of stamina?” He grabbed infinite by the throat. Infinite growled and Titan threw him across the field but before the armor made contact the helmet retracted into the armor and infinite flew from the armor. He shot Titan with an extremely powerful and unfocused blast of dark energy. It launched Titan into the air and the infinity gauntlet went flying. Titan yelled out, “NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!” He watched the gauntlet go flying into the distance. He increased his size to fifteen meters. He drew his ax and swung down, but it only went through him with no affect as if he was a ghost. Titan said, “I know you can’t stay out of your armor forever, how long can you hold your form again? Oh wait, you can’t talk without your armor.” He walked over to the armor and picked it up. He threw it in the opposite direction of the infinity gauntlet. Infinite floated there for a minute before flying after the armor. Titan flew in the direction of the gauntlet and picked it up. He shrunk back down to normal size and put the gauntlet back on. But before he could alter everyone’s minds he was tackled to the ground. He looked up to see infinite and punched Titan off of him. He clenched the fist wearing the infinity gauntlet and the power stone glowed. A blast came from the gauntlet and infinite was blasted back. Titan clenched his fist again but this time the mind stone glowed. Infinite suddenly went limp and the space stone glowed as a portal appeared under infinite and he was sent back to infinitewatch home base. Titan dug a whole into the ground and put the gauntlet minus the mind stone in the whole. He went back to infinitewatch home base and placed the stone in a device where it continued glowing. Titan found infinite and woke him up. When infinite became conscious again he said, “I’m impressed, you managed to kill all the rogue titans and tame new ones? My friend you are not going to be in that cell anymore. However, I will be keeping my eye on you. From here until death, you will be second in command to infinitewatch and leader of the Titan division.” Titan nodded and reached his hand out before saying, “then let’s get up. We’ve got work to do.
A decade later
Infinite was running to the base in the boiling isles and he ran looking for somebody. He found Luz and amity training. Amity had some new ability where she became covered in the abomination goo and would gain the abilities of an abomination. Luz was in her titan form launching glyph attacks at amity to test her reaction time. Infinite walks in and says, “I’m sorry to interrupt but would you know where Gus is?” Luz asks, “Why? Is he in trouble?” Infinite responds, “no. I just need to talk to him for a minute.” Luz nods and amity says, “I think he’s in the strategy room. He’s in there a lot.” Infinite nods and walks up to the strategy room. He goes through the automatic doors and he sees Gus looking at a table where he’d created an illusion. He and Hunter were playing some game with the illusion. Infinite said, “Gus, I need to talk to you for a minute. It will only be a moment and then you can get back to your little game.” Gus nods and waves bye to Hunter as he walks out of the door. Gus says, “what’s up?” Infinite responds, “Remember when we were talking about the person I lost all that time ago?” Gus nods his head and infinite continues, “I might have a way for to find them. If I can use a combination of the reality, power, and mind stone I might be able increase my memory range. I’ve no idea if it’ll work but if it does we can use your earring thing to get into my memories and find where they were lost. Maybe then we can find them where they are and get them back.” Gus nods and get’s excited saying, “When do you wanna try and find them.” Infinite responded, “I can make a spray containing the combination in about a week if all goes right. As long as I don’t take my armor off too much from now to then I should be able to take it off long enough to do the plan.” Gus nods and says, “Just tell me when you’re ready.” Infinite walks away, his visor switching to teal as he appears to be walking down the halls a little happier than before.

I stopped commentating on my re-rewatch of 02, but I finished it the other day. That's MY Digimon Adventure ending, I reject the events of Last Evolution Kizuna.
I had said years back that I wished we got to see some of the missing evolutions during the fight against BelialVamdemon in the emotion world, but I guess it doesn't make sense after all considering it wasn't "real". The kids were drawing on all the evolutions they had at their disposal, but couldn't go farther than that because they never attained anything farther in reality. Although Magnamon totally should have been there too.
Fucked up that Ken's fantasy was him getting lynched by the digimon he harmed as the Kaiser. This kid is fucking 11.
It really wasn't ever addressed how there was a ninth crest yet it wasn't necessary for maintaining the balance of the digital world, huh? You know what, actually? I consciously choose to spare myself the headache of worrying about all the plotholes and continuity snarls.
I have a feeling that the 02 film coming this October will rectify my biggest gripe, that being the missing evolutions I alluded to. I'm actually incredibly confident we're going to see Stingmon super-evolve into JewelBeemon if nothing else. But I would also like to see proper non-jogress Perfect stages for V-mon, Hawkmon, and Armadimon, possibly even new Ultimates too. The same way Tri gave us the canon Ultimates for the original kids. I would also certainly enjoy more armor combinations. But I can live without that, what I want most is justice for Ken Ichijouji, the forgotten crest-bearer whose partner got a dedicated, legitimate Perfect stage introduced between then and now.
I'm not going to be rewatching Tamers. Not right now, at least. I was just doing Adventure to commemorate 01's anniversary and then I felt nostalgic and wanted to see Wormmon's death. I already recall everything that happened in Tamers with perfect clarity anyway, particularly in reference to Megidramon.

6 and 20 for Adaira, Corin, and Faolán!
Ahhh thank you so much for sending this ask!
Fairly long answer below the cut:
For 6;
Corin dresses like someone's weird uncle if that uncle was like 10 times sluttier. Wandering vagabond chic. Yet somehow also the vibes of a man who owns like, three button ups from target that he's had for a decade plus, and two pairs of pants. He dresses like if you took Aragorn lordoftherings' aesthetic and then ran it through a spin cycle that spit it out gayer and sluttier. In terms of color he wears a lot of browns and grays, and his clothing has been mended and patched a lot. His clothing also has little embroidery details in various spots that have just been added over time by Faolán as an ongoing labor of love. He also has lots of earrings in each ears, all the way up and down, various hoops studs and ear cuffs. Man also often wears a lot of rings (including his wedding ring), and has a distinctive necklace he always wears. He also often wears very beat up fingerless wool gloves
Faolán, unlike his husband, is very neatly and beautifully, if simply, dressed. He takes good care of his clothing, and mends it himself. He also does his own embroidery, and his clothing is covered in traditional embroidery that was passed down to him by his mother. It is very culturally significant, and involves complicated patterns and symbols that speak to various myths and stories. He typically wears dark browns and burgundies and colors in that general vibe. That goes for what he wears under his armor, anyway. Because unlike Corin he is a martial fighter and is often in armor. I have tried designing and redesigning his armor a million times. Fingers crossed one day I'll get it down dfghjk. He has a pair of earrings Corin gave him as a gift many years ago, and he never takes them off. He also has some lovely bracelets. He and Corin also both have wedding bands.
At the start of the story Adaira is orphaned and on her own, and is dressed in beat to hell clothing that is an absolute mess. Once Corin and Faolán take her in they make it a priority to get her a new wardrobe, and Faolán very lovingly decorates a lot of it for her. I have designed out outfits for her a ton, probably more than any of my other ocs, and would love to do so more if I ever get out of my years long art block. Her clothing styles are heavily inspired by Slavic and Armenian folk costumes, and I love drawing them so much.
For 20;
Corin is tall (probably about 6'3-6'5, I keep changing my mind on exact height) and skinny as a rail. A lanky man, an absolute beanpole. He has a long face with sharp cheekbones and a long aquiline nose that's been broken so many times it's kind of forgotten its original shape. He has very very dark brown eyes (or he has gray eyes, I go back and forth. Can you tell I'm indecisive?). He's also just one of those people who has a 'twinkle in his eye,' so to speak, and he smiles easily. Also I am pretty sure he is often rocking some eyeliner. He has lines around his eyes and on his face, and his hair is silver in the present (and salt and pepper in the past) and he wears it about shoulder length, sometimes a bit longer. He also just has perpetual stubble. He's quite pale overall, but has a tan that comes from being out in the elements a lot. He's got a pale scar that starts at the corner of his right eye and then snakes down his cheek to his neck, as well a many other scars all over his chest and arms. His age is very hard to pin. His hands are elegant, with long thin fingers that are tattooed with intricate patterns that sometimes seem to shift around and change places (I am still working on designs) They're not his only tattoos, but they're the only ones I've settled on for sure in terms of location etc.
Faolán is 5'7, built like a fighter in the way that people who like, do actual strength work are strong (I am not phrasing this remotely right). Point being he's not like showy muscle, he's the kind of muscle that will wreck your shop. He is a swordsman and it shows. He has curly, very dark brown hair that is just now starting to get some gray at the temples, and he typically keeps it about chin length or sometimes a bit longer, with some braids done through it. He has large golden-brown eyes with long dark lashes, and he is very handsome. Just a lovely man. He has a strong jaw and a nose that's been broken many times, and unlike his husband he stays clean shaven. He has medium brown skin with warm undertones, and a multitude of scars in various shapes and sizes that tell the stories of his many adventures, misadventures, and journeys. I want to give him a cool tattoo or tattoos) designs[s], but haven't settled on any yet
Adaira is a c. 11 (indecisive me goes back and forth on if she starts the story at ten or as a new 11), and she has a very distinct face shape that I used to draw a lot but am bad at describing oops. She is also like 11, as I said, and so has a lot of growing to do. She has fairy blood, and her eyes reflect this. They are very large, to a degree that is not quite human, and they are tilted at an angle on her face that is not so startling that it is immediately alarming, but definitely has something uncanny about it that rings of not entirely human. They're also spaced a bit wider than is normal (I am not describing this well, it's something I've drawn a lot but have yet to describe elegantly fghjk). Color-wise her eyes are a beautiful dark brown that catches the light and seems to draw it in and reflect it back (and her eyes are in fact reflective like a cat's at night dfghj). She also has slightly sharp canine teeth. She has brown skin slightly lighter than Faolán's, and freckles everywhere. Her hair is very curly, and she keeps it short, about at chin length. It's a fiery red that seems to have different shades and highlights in it depending on how the light catches it, and it refuses to behave, always a fly-away mess around her face. She is short for her age (idk exactly what that entails), and time spent on her own has left her scrappy and undernourished. She was born missing her left arm from about a bit above the elbow down, and later on in the story will sometimes have an arm made of fire in its place
The story takes place over years so their appearances and clothing will shift throughout, but as Adaira starts the story as a little girl, her changes are the most dramatic as she grows up
Anyway, thank you again for asking me this, it made my night! I'm sure my answers aren't very coherent and have some typos (I fully did not sleep last night). But I had so much fun answering this, so thank youuuuu!
