Oh, definitely! I think it depends on how you word it!
I will note, however, that 5K might be a little short to swing it. For reference: Of Mice and Men is 30k and the first Harry Potter is about 77k
If I were to claim a fanfiction like- oh let’s just say the infamous My Immortal by XXXbloodyrists666XXX for example, I would probably say something like:
“Oh, yes, the novel I read is called My Immortal, I found a digital copy on an indie publishing site. It’s about 44 chapters- so not too long. Yeah, it was very interesting, A really cool interpretation of some classic vampire tropes filtered through the lens of the early 2000s. It explored themes like teenage drama and self discovery/sexuality as well as what happens when adults don’t deal with the consequences of their own actions, instead of pushing them off onto the younger generation. It had a very unique narration style, which reflected the main character’s personality as well as the values of era in which it was written.”

@magnetic-sims4 - lingerie, skirts and dresses mostly - my go-to for more risque things.
@ts4eve - a range of clothing, including those of the spicy variety, some more unusual pieces!

@regina-raven - most things are for both frames, leans towards the alt/gothic flavour but good for mixing and matching. AND ALSO, HEELS.

Sforzcc - dresses usually for both frames! Sweet & simple.

i haven’t! it’s always possible that they’ll choose to cancel the show—we won’t know until they announce it—but until then, i haven’t given up! supposedly netflixuk is making announcements tomorrow. i don’t know if l&co will be one of them, but i still have hope! 🧡

I am quite comfy in the S-m size skirts, I just ordered a pair of pants in the s-m and I'm curious if you think the fit would be similar?
I struggle with pants some times because I'm pretty thicc in the ass area, hoping the stretch will accommodate!

By the sounds of it you likely have a similar shape to me going on, so they should fit similarly to most all of the pics in the shop (with the main difference being depending on height/inseam).
For reference: I'm 5'7", have a 27" waist but 42" hips, and a 32" inseam. I also wear A Size skirts and SM-MD joggers

So, a ligand and a central metal ion form a coordination complex.
The ligand can be an ion or a molecule with a functional group which donates one or more electron pairs to bond with the metal ion. This bond is called coordinate covalent bond. That means the two electrons that are used for the bond derive from the same atom, so either from our ligand or from the metal! (That’s basically the important part.)

Steve hosts hellfire with fairly disastrous results when he overhears something not intended for his ears. Queue protective Robin and the kids giving Eddie the cold shoulder.

Hello! I want to write my own sim story that is mixed with gameplay details/events, but I have no idea how to start it. I know Indya's story started out as more gameplay and became more cinematic as it went on, so if you were to remake or start another cinematic story how would you start and why? I don't mean to stick you with an essay.😅
I've researched, but my adhd is just not connecting or collecting the info!
And see friend, I don't even think you need to research! Starting out as gameplay really helped the story develop on its own for me. I picked a sim with traits that I thought would make for good gameplay. Indya is Materialistic, Hot-Headed and Creative (I think its creative). So I wanted to play a money-hungry mean girl with a pretty face and dope wig collection who plays men like monopoly. As I started adding more characters, shit started to get deep. Then my brain just got carried the fuck away and here we are lol.
Try starting with your characters and just play around with them. How would they interact? When do they meet? Are you starting with one main character (like I did) with a slow burn to some dramatic shit? Are you gonna write scenes out or let the game's whims and free will take over?
I do not have autonomy or aging on in this save so think about how much control over your characters you want.
SO!!! I would absolutely start as a gameplay to warm up to the characters and their behaviors and then let it evolve.

please explain how lives work on the qsmp I am so lost 😭 i get the two egg lives but are deaths only permanent for presidential candidates?
okay so normally, there is no life system for the players. they can die as many times as they want without the whole "canon lives" issue. the eggs DO have two lives, which has been present/enforced since the beginning.
the presidential candidates now also have two lives, but if they lose both of them, it's not as if they're permanently dead and out of the series for good. it just means they lose the ability to become president!

There's a Reading Order on the Wiki
But honestly a lot of stories are contained in their own series, so what you can also do is scroll through my Series page on AO3 and find the ones that interest you most. Each Series link, links to a number of stories that all belong under that series umbrella.
The Fae Tales Canon came first, but doesn't have to be read first. The other series - as long as you read them in the order of the listing* - are in order too. So you can start with like, The Wildness Within, or The Spoils of the Spoiled etc. and just go with what stories interest you most! Or you can start with the og canon. :D
Basically it'll depend on if you want to start with the original fantasy series, or if you prefer to start with the omegaverse series (Underline the Rainbow), or if you prefer to start with the contemporary drama series (Spoils) etc. Because I write a lot of alternate universes, the characters are all the same anyway, so wherever you start, the other series become easier to read as you go, because the characters will be familiar to you even if they're in a different universe!
*Exception being AUs/oneshots/more because they're a whole bunch of different alternative universes etc. and don't have to be read in order!

Quill, I am so sorry for bugging you about random stuff I have seen in the keeper fandom, but you have a larger audience than I do.
So, I was thinking about Trans Sophie, right? And I suddenly remembered that there was this one person on keepblr that had this whole au featuring Trans!Sophie and Trans!Fitz, with Sophie being ftm and Fitz being mtf. Pretty sure their choosen names were Simon and Rainera, or something similar to that. I can’t remember literally who wrote about it, but I do remember reading others fics about it. I thought it was by @/everyonehasthoughts, but there’s nothing on their tumblr about it.
I have no clue if I am making this up, but I would like to know if this was actually real or no.

You're right, this was very much a real thing! Simon Foster and Reina Vacker--you can search each of their names (alongside "kotlc") and get a handful of old posts about them, which includes some fic snippets! Perhaps those are what you're thinking of.
And it was @/everyonehasthoughts, you're right, although the original posts don't seem to be available anymore. In fact it looks like a couple years of the blog is blank now, including the time when Simon and Reina were created. I don't know why but I won't be prying deeper.
Reina seems to have been lost to time, but Simon still persists to an extent. I think I've gotten a few asks about him recently enough, and I believe @gay-otlc may have posted about him a time or two recently? Unsure, but I feel like there's a kernel or truth to that.
I don't have a whole lot more information unfortunately, but I can say that yes, Simon and Reina were a real thing and you're not making it up. Look up their names ("[name] kotlc" for example) and you'll be able to see what tumblr remembers!

hi! emo teen henry was something that showed up during the dungeons and daddies do or dice live show tour!
for the san diego show, the prompt that got rolled involved some dimensional shenangianery that de-aged the dads for a little bit! so at one point, we got to see the dads as teens!
teenage henry in particular was broody and emo and pretentious. he had long flowing hair. he wrote poetry in a moleskin journal. truly, is anyone doing it like him?

hi claire i have a (probably) dumb question 🧍🏻 what font do you use for your subs?
hiiiii sasa. i used two fonts actually. for example in this trillion game one I used Calibri, bold and italic.
For this lovely writer gifset, I used Arial Rounded MT Bold, italic.
The font size I tend to vary from time to time. In the trillion game gif, I used 11px which is really small but I like using small subs to sometimes give a gifset a cleaner/minimal aesthetic, more focused on how the characters look.
For the lovely writer one above, I used 14px because I wanted to focus on the commentaries being made by the characters.
This is my shadow and stroke settings I used for all my subtitles.
And my personal little trick (◠‿◕) is that I always duplicate my font layer right before I save to web so that they look even bolder and clearer.

I wanna ask advice I’m having a terrible time coloring this scene it’s like sepia colored + second gif regular color. I was trying to do a pink/blue overlay to make them match. Now that I’ve done that I’m afraid it is too much??? (tho I think they match well enough. I am wearing migraine glasses so 👀 🤷🏽♂️ coloring is unwise but I think? they match). So I’m worried I should have tried something else, so idk ... what do you do with sepia toned scenes?
Ohh I hate when scenes have sepia colouring so much… I usually try using channel mixer and curves to normalize it a bit. If you were to see my psd files you would think I were insane… the amount of different filters I put on top of each other 😬 If that fails, turn the normal scene sepia to match and then colour them both, at least then they’ll match 😅 Sometimes you gotta lean into the lesser colouring and hope for the best.

RE: inspired by fic etiquette
What if you've asked to write an inspired by fic, but are waiting for them to message back to get into little details so you don't spoil the entire thing.
What if it's been months and the entire fic is written and you're just waiting for this person to get back but it's taking forever but there is no indication this person has any intention of coming back online to answer the message.
What then?
Okay first of all I think it's great to make sure the person is okay with spoilers before you spoil things, and just be open to chat about the whole thing and have a conversation instead of just "is this okay yes or no".
But as for the main thing here, what if you don't get a reply? Tbh in this case you have two choices. You can assume the answer is "no" and leave the fic unpublished as something you just wrote for yourself (which is fine and unproblematic imo). Or you can go ahead with posting, running the risk that they'll eventually come back online, see that you went ahead without their say-so, and be angry or upset. Or that their friends or other fans see it and get upset on their behalf.
I can tell you what I'd do, I'd err on the side of caution, but I can't tell you what to do. This is just the situation and decision and potential consequences as I see it. They might never come back and it won't be an issue. They might come back tomorrow and be pissed off, or upset, or never want to write fanfic again. They might not care. There's no way to know.
The one thing I would say is, IF they do come back and are annoyed, I would take the fic down and apologise, no excuses. If you take the risk, you accept the consequences.
