My skin has been doing much better. It’s been two months since I stopped the birth control that caused the eczema (and now I’m stopping the one that caused so much inflammation, so let’s see how that goes). This two months I stopped all my skincare routine and I turned it into just two very small things: cleanser and moisturizer (plus sunscreen if I’m going out). I had two different cleansers and two different moisturizers (one was for babies and it’s actually what worked the best) that I alternated, and lord, my skin is so good and smooth. It’s still somehow reddish but more in a healthy red (as opposed to the sickly pale that I used to have or to the flaky and sore red from two months ago) so I’m not complaining.
My nails are so-so. Much better than before but nothing like they used to be before I started taking any kind of birth control. At this point I guess I already realized they’ll never be as strong as they were, but at least they aren’t too brittle. I haven’t painted them in around a year so idk how that will go.
My hair… haha wish it could be better. It’s… I’ve been caring for it and I stopped dying it, but it’s damaged. I’m trying to let it grow but it’s been quite slow. I may change my products but I’m using some very good ones so idk if that will work. Also I’m dying it dark. I didn’t want to in case I still wanted fantasy colours (so I wouldn’t have to bleach it again), but I just can’t stand looking at it anymore. I know I’m gonna miss this almost-white hair but I know I’ll feel much better once I see it dark and won’t be able to see how damaged it is (since it’s more obvious the lighter it is). And maybe once it grows it’ll actually be healthier. I wanted to cut it short and just restart but 😬 I’m having doubts, so dark first.
My legs are swollen and in pain but the doctor said it’ll stop once I stop the pills so hopefully that’ll happen soon.
Anything else is… more or less okay. My allergies have been doing much much better, actually. Nothing like they were a year ago. My period pain (and endometriosis) hasn’t improved at all but at least I’m regular now. Let’s hope the next pills work better (without as many side effects).

Alas I was constrained by the panels I had.#So many hbd and kim conversations fit the wangxian dynamic its unreal.#Once again I am politely holding out Disco Elysium as a recommendation: So long as you are aware of it's content and warnings.#It is truly one of the most hopeful games about trauma and despair. It is hilarious in a way that frames the tragedy perfectly.#Be warned that it is a dark and heavy read. But it is truly a life changing experience.#It helped my get out of a bad place in realizing how much I was hurting myself by trying to hold onto the past and regrets.#Go in as blind as you can. I feel like a thing we don’t talk about enough in the context that Jack LIVES in the asylum is: If Lucy had accepted his proposal, was he going to bring her back to live there with him???
Like, I grant you it’s fully possible he was planning to buy a perfectly normal house with a proverbial white picket fence, but this is Jack “brought a lancet to propose” Seward, and I think it’s just as likely that he either hadn’t thought this through, or else thinks it’s Perfectly Normal Behavior to bring your brand new wife, a sheltered society girl, back to your asylum to share your Brooding Goth Asylum Lifestyle.
Would their kids have been raised there?? Not just in any asylum, but the asylum with security fiascos second only to Arkham? The asylum where one of his patients successfully ran into his study with a knife and stabbed him???
Obsessed with the idea of Renfield escaping for the 159603th time and Jack having a mild heart attack when he finds him in the kid’s room, but Renfield is just holding Baby Seward very gently and singing “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” (or as it was known back then, I kid you not, “The Blooming Bloody Spider”) while the two of them play with an actual spider.

the fact that you can still get skin cancer even if you're diligent about sun protection (10% of skin cancers are not sun-related) is so frustrating
like yeah I'm going to keep doing it to SIGNIFICANTLY reduce my risk but! damnit I'm out here weeping over ruined printed cotton collars from my sunscreen and you're saying I'm still not 100% safe?! bullshit!

Okay, just, before tonight... Can we accept that, given currently at a draw with both teams actually having been trying recently, blue and red are actually somewhat balanced, have both done crimes, and no matter who wins its nobody's fault what the consequences are except the Eye because that fucker has never given anyone sufficient info to work with?

#random pet post#it really is a weird coat pattern#I'm never sure if I should describe him accurately as a white marked tabby or as the first impression people get of a black and white cat#love his little backward C's#I got all my other pets around the same time and they've been dying off one by one this last year or so#I'm down to just this 4yo kit and Bruiser#actually I'm not done whispering in the tags#pretty soon it's just gonna be me and this terrible little man against the world#and he gives me such weird problems you cannot even begin to imagine#took to the leash and harness without a bit of difficulty but I can't take him anywhere cuz he freaks out about people 500ft away#really difficult to find sitters for him cuz he gets so stressed about changes and waits until 3am to SCREAM#he's 17 lbs and wants to sleep on my chest 14 hours a day#took him on a work trip a week or 2 ago cuz of aforementioned petsitting troubles and some kind of wire got crossed#so instead of stress peeing in my laundry basket he now humps the nearest blanket covered limb to alert me of problems#he got scared of his water dish recently and is only now starting to get over it after 3 weeks of drama#he knocked it over last night and humped my leg while I tried to sleep to try and convey to me that he was thirsty#I'm thinking of getting a second cat and just fucking hoping that it'll be normal and maybe Prompto can target it for some of his weirdness

Okay I need to get something off my chest about TWST
I absolutely love this series and the characters and everything about it
BUT it’s getting sort of old how they’re managing how often they release content for Book 7
I understand that they want to take their time releasing chapters since there’ll be things answered or revealed about characters and plot holes
BUT THE WAY THINGS ARE BEING RELEASED WE’RE GONNA BE STUCK IN BOOK 7 FOR A WHILE
And yes, of course there’s a lot that goes into the development of Book 7, but the longer they drag this out, more people are just gonna bail because of how slow the pace is for releasing chapters
Look at how many chapters we had for each Book
It’s crazy how we jumped from 75 chapters to 200 from Book 5-6
And with how we almost have all the characters done for Culinary Crucible, what are they gonna do to replace that event??
With this latest chapter for the JPN server, they easily could’ve released this in February (which sucked how both servers barely had anything going on in February)
AND WE'RE ONLY GETTING FREAKIN TSUM TSUMS FOR CONTENT FOR MARCH FOR THE EN SERVER (as of right now), AND I REALLY HATE HOW LONG THAT EVENT DRAGS ON FOR AND HOW MANY LESSONS YOU HAVE TO DO
LIKE WHAT'S WRONG WITH HAVING AN EVENT AND MAIN STORY RELEASED IN THE SAME MONTH
We also haven't gotten ANY of the events started for the EN server, so it just sucks how we're going at such a snails pace at the moment
I just hope they don’t drag this out for two long because it’ll take way, way too long to progress
And I’m sure most of the TWST fans are kinda getting annoyed as well
And considering how long we were in someone’s dream previously, I’m just DYING to know who’s dream we’re entering next (trying to avoid spoilers lol)
I wish they implemented more surveys more often for the fans so they can adjust and take what the fans are suggesting and implementing it into the future
But I’m eager to see the newest chapter and a HUGE thank you to the people who get the translations out quickly 🙌🏻
But I hope this slow pace doesn’t continue to happen like this because I really enjoy everything about TWST

my 'hey yes we have an all-consuming brainrot going but let's try and do something actually productive this week that I'm having off of work' project is sorting through my bookshelves, rigorously throwing things out (little miss I own over a thousand books in my one-room apartment is reaching the breaking point aka I'm finally and utterly running out of space) and i think i threw out almost a hundred books today and it's still not anywhere close for sorting shelves by genre without having to stack and put things second row. how am I supposed to live like this
