I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.
I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.
If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.

ngl, the more I think about it, the more I feel conflicted over how people sexualize my characters.
On the one hand, it would be silly to deny that I don't go out of my way to create aesthetically pleasing/attractive characters because I love to draw what I enjoy, and I love it when people simp for them.
But on the other hand, sometimes it does bother me that people are so fixated on sex and their own arousal that they miss important lore/plot information that I get a bit frustrated

ok i'm supposed to be writing an essay but all i can think about right now is yan!childe as your childhood best friend that you, somehow, stayed with all the way to the present. he's not violent nor does he restrict you or anything — he's actually pretty tame for the most part. the yandere part is just him being overtly clingy and obsessive, and maybe a little (a lot) possessive over his title as "your best friend". you could read this to be romantic or platonic but either way, he'd love you til celestia permanently tears your bond apart, which is never if he has anything to say about it.

Hey guys the official comic isn't launching till late December most likely but I made this rough draft comic to show you what they might look like in the future.
Hope you enjoyed this little snippet, however, this is a rough draft and while I'm mostly happy with how the characters came out I'll likely put a little more into the background and text so it's easier to read next time. (Things are subject to change and should the comics release be pushed back it's only because I want to make sure they look good and I can push them out on a consistent date/time)
Oh also the characters present are Clement a wizard who mainly teaches about botany and plant based magic, and the main character Wilderin who I'll make a small post about around the comics release, but you'll have plenty of time to get to know about him when the comic releases.

I think look back is just like personally my favorite thing fujimoto has ever created and it gives me so many emotions and i cry so much every time i read it not even bc of the ending but different things throughout . Fujino dancing in the rain and finding the passion in what she loves again . Kyomoto thanking fujino for helping her socialize and live outside of herself and share her life with another person for the first time . The two of them trudging through snow to see if they even got an honourable mention after doing so much work together. Sickening. Evil and twisted. Fujino and kyomoto you will always be famous

Aurora is a high fantasy webcomic made by Red OSP about a ragtag group of queer magical weirdos going on a quest to save a dead god from an immortal witch and stop an evil eldritch dragon from eating the planet. It's main strength is having great characters and dynamics between those characters and also pretty glowy magic and weird magic fuckery going on and also also him

how does one figure out what webcomics are hosted with
#mine.txt#not knowing a comic's host is no problem when you just wanna read it#but when you're trying to decide where to host your own comic it's more of a problem#and insofar i have yet to find a hosting credit for comics divorced from a main hosting site (comicfury tapas etc)#with the exception of gunnerkrigg court which credited an actual programmer#something which i am not nor do i have the money to pay for one#i could post it on social media yes but i dont want people to see it unless i want them to lol#ig i could put it on private but i dont wanna do that either#idk my feelings are a bit complicated regarding visibility#like its nice and all but also i dont really want it#so yeah a hosting site is p much my best option#but unfortunately i have no experience regarding this kind of thing and have no idea where to start

Please talk more about Vic dc has me starved
It's hard out here for those of us obsessed with this guy. Hopefully they start putting him in stuff in a way that doesn't suck soon. Maybe with the Blue Beetle movie coming out at some point in the next few years, we'll see some more focus on our favorite Charlton Action Heroes. (plus, between you and me, I've heard rumors of a Question TV show in the works. If they did make one, it would probably be Montoya focused, especially since they already have a few actors that have portrayed her, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vic showed up at some point. Unfortunately, with all of the cuts HBO has been making, I'm not sure if this is still in the works. Fingers crossed? And then an extra pair of fingers crossed that they don't massacre Renee or Vic in some trash tv remake.)
I'm not sure if there's anything else planned with him this year, sadly. The O'Neil omnibus just released, but at the price point it's set at, it sadly isn't in the cards for some of us (me) so I'll just continue to read the comics on their own using digital means and posting them online in an insane manner. And, hey, I invite everyone else to post like that too, even people that don't consider themselves big Vic fans. The more the merrier. Get cracy with it.
Also, open invitation for everyone to send me their Vic Sage Question headcanons, theories, or thoughts. I would love to hear them and talk about what I think :)

HI 100HZ THANK YOU... after I finish Hawkeye I'm diving into Ra's chrono bc like... Unfortunately I do rly like them both (unfortunately bc I think if I see what grant Morrison does to him I will kill someone). And unfortunately I'm brave enough to have to see what is done to both of them (at the cost of my sanity. If you saw the notes on my Talia spreadsheet it was like... 50% just violence towards the authors who were doing bad). I think genuinely I'd rather deal with whatever Ra's has going on (a crime list so long it's insane) compared to doing modern two face stuff bc dear god oh it's bad (his stuff was so bad that it was why I read talias 😭)

most painful part of being a comic collecting fan btw is knowing you can never be a completionist about your physical collection depending on what you're collecting you can only hope to get some particular older arcs and your more recent modern runs complete if you weren't getting them when it was coming out
#if you want your special character's silver age (or even older) issues for a nice price good fucking luck buddy!!!!#that is if u want them in a nice condition. if u dont then ur usually gold. unless it's real early in the series. then people want you dead#i have an older vol 1 comic that had well mildly Significant cover damage. and i was an absolute fucking sucker who got it for like $9#my own problem! but it's like damn!!! unfortunately im a fool and if it's right there at my lcs i will just get it#bc im sure it still would've cost the same if i bought it online w/ the shipping fees#and unfortunately i do want to collect as many physical issues as i can be I Love Owning Comic Book.#like almost more than reading them. i like having them as a physical object i've talked about this before#static.soundz
