My favorite part of Normie One Piece fans discussing Crocomom/Crocodad theory is that there’s inevitably a moment where they have to concede that yes, AFAB!Crocodile is a believable theory but Crocoparent is simply crackpot and based on a single moment in the canon where Crocodile saves Luffy after learning Luffy is Dragon’s son. And they’re so right but it’s great that this fandom has gotten to the point that Crocodile being a trans man is seen as completely rational compared to other theories

i keep thinking about the “we haven’t tested this on any living being line” from cucurucho in the ratoier cinematic because like. that doesn’t really line up with the fact they very much used this machine on aypierre.

at first i thought it might mean that they just hadn’t transferred the mind of one living being into another living being. but thinking about it more that doesn’t really make sense with what cucurucho actually said. any.

then i remembered aypierre’s video recording from the end of the iloveyou.exe cinematic. “if you see this message, that means im probably dead.”

they didn’t not use it on living beings before just because one was artificial. it’s also because the other one wasn’t alive when it took place. he was dead.

There’s something so interesting about the Stonehearts taking on new names. The stripping of individualism and forcing them to conform under the gemstone, hierarchy based system of the IPC makes me want to write an essay but unfortunately we only have two stonehearts’ lore available to us, one of which seems pretty happy with the IPC’s conformity.

i was watching a video essay on another rpf ship and like. comparing any other rpf ship to phan is so different it’s crazy. like yeah back in 2012 or whatever maybe it wasn’t so obvious but the things that other rpf shippers have as “evidence” are like “they looked at each other 10 times in this interview” or “this lyric is probably about her” meanwhile we have dan and phil buying a house together and selling tshirts of themselves holding hands. so like yeah phan is real and all but that doesn’t mean all rpf shippers are onto something here the situations are so different it’s crazy. taylor swift could never like a tweet about serving karlie kloss dressed as a slutty nun.

Thinkin about the scene in Blue Eye Samurai where they show Mizu forging metal while naked and covered in writing to help ensure she’s connected to the craft, because it’s a very beautiful and meaningful scene, but she spent the last like 6 episodes getting beat up and sliced to hell and back and they barely showed a single scrap of evidence acknowledging it. And like. Would it not have been *more* powerful to show how much she’s sacrificed and risked herself during her journey through the countless scars, especially considering they wouldn’t have been there when we saw her in a flashback in episode 5? Genuinely, that’s one of my only flaws with the show, because if she’s going to take over-the-top, unsurvivable brutality on a regular basis, then at least acknowledge the impact that would have on her body. Of course I don’t *want* to see the poor babygirl all bruised and beaten, but like. How is she not??????? She’s been shot, stabbed many times, got a hole clean through the side of her foot, fell like 100 feet into freezing water, got crushed under a door by like 6 guys, its just.
