Redemption - Roronoa Zoro Imagine
Tumblr media
Pairing: Roronoa Zoro x Reader
Spoilers for One Piece (?)
A/N: This is Part 2 for Betrayal, another Zoro imagine I wrote, so if you haven't read that I'd recommend you do that first.
Summary: After (Y/N) confessed to the Straw Hat Pirates that during their two year separation, she betrayed her boyfriend Zoro and had a child back on the island she was stranded on, she had to leave the group. But once her new home was under attack she had no other choice but to once again hope for the crew's help. Will they forgive her?
Part 3

************************************************************************
Fire... smoke... screams...
She could see the clouds of smoke from miles away. Once she set foot on the island the first things that greeted her weren't the familiar smell of the autumn leaves or the sound of the market place but rather the smell of the burnt down huts and the pleas of the townspeople. Ever since Whitebeard's death two years ago pirates from all over the world set sail in search of the One Piece. It was exactly like after Gol D. Roger's execution all over again. But her little island? This wasn't where the One Piece was hidden. What these pirates wanted was merely to destroy, to pillage and to artificially drive up their bounty...
"We would never do that", the young woman thought to herself, "all our bounties were racked up for far better reasons. Luffy would never allow this" (Y/N) was well aware, that she herself was part of a notorious pirate crew - or rather she had been part of one until recently...
The realization hurt but she didn't have time to keep thinking about her misery. All that mattered right now was the little boy for whom she had given up everything. As fast as her feet would carry her she ran towards the edge of the forrest where the little cabin that she called her home stood.
She breathed a sigh of relief once she arrived and saw that the destruction of the village had not yet reached that part of the island. But she didn't plan to just sit by and wait for that to happen. The people on the island she called her home weren't fighters. If they were lucky there were a few handymen that knew how to handle tools and heavy machinery but that was about it. She knew that she could never take on those pirates on her own - even if she improved her strenght greatly in the span of those last two years. But she knew who could...
************************************************************************
"Are you sure you're okay?", she whispered, not wanting to get caught by the other Straw Hats.
"Pffft.. Never felt better", the swordsman dismissed her worries with a movement of his hand and continued undressing the woman that was lying underneath him. Calloused hands roaming her body, trying to take in as much of her as he could.
"But - But you should rest...", it became increasingly harder to string together coherrent sentences with the way Zoro was kissing down her chest.
"If you insist", with a swift movement he flipped them around and in an instant the witch was now on top her green-haired boyfriend, straddling him firmly.
She started laughing, "You know, that's not what I meant"
Not many people knew Zoro the way (Y/N) knew him. The other Straw Hats would probably describe him as a 'matter of fact' - guy. His playful side wasn't something he kept hidden - not at all. It's just that the stupid jokes were only funny when they left her lips.
"Hey, Zoro. Dinner's ready", Sanji's words pulled the swordsman out of his thoughts. Every since (Y/N)'s confession nobody on the ship acted normal around him anymore - well nobody except Luffy and Robin. Luffy was never the most delicate, which Zoro was grateful for and Robin probably knew that he just wanted to move on. Nami however didn't leave him alone, offered to speak, to be a shoulder to cry on. He appreciated her good intentions but he just wanted to repress the feelings, exercise and drink his pain away. But the thing that annoyed him the most was that shitty cook being so nauseatingly nice to him. Nami told Sanji that she would raise him hell if he even dared to think to start a fight with Zoro. But what she had achieved, was that the only little thing that the swordsman had left of his (Y/N) was now gone too. He remembered how amusing she found the fights he and curly-brows had - so much so that Zoro tried to initiate fights with the cook. But Sanji never took the bait no matter how hard he had to pull himself together. If Nami-swan wanted something from him, he would not disappoint.
************************************************************************
There she was, it was barely a week and a half since (Y/N) left the Thousand Sunny back on Sabaody but yet it felt like a lifetime. The witch took a few deep breaths before slowly making her way over to the ship. She was grateful that Robin told her that the crew would have to make a stop for supplies an island over before heading to Fish-Man Island. On her way over there, she had hoped that she didn't miss them, that they'd still be there and all the hoping seemed to have payed off. But the hardest challenge - convincing her former friends to help her after everything she put them trough - still lay ahead of her.
Much to her dismay the whole group was not only on the ship when she arrived, they were also in the middle of dinner.
"(Y/N), you came back!", Luffy's voice broke the silence. The girl realized that he genuinely sounded happy to see her. She wasn't quite sure if she felt happy that there was at least one person left on this ship that didn't hate her or sad because she had to tell him yet again, that she still wasn't coming back.
But before she (Y/N) could even attempt to say anything, Nami spoke up, "No, Luffy. She's not. What are you doing here?"
Her voice was cold - so much in fact, that (Y/N) needed two attempts to explain the reason for why she was there. Once she finally ended her plea for help there were a solid few seconds where nobody said a word. (Y/N) had mostly spoken to Luffy as the captain of the ship but she knew that it was really the navigator that she would have to convince to help her. She kept her eyes firmly trained on the Straw Hat anticipating his decision. She, of course, noticed Zoro's presence in the room - how could she not? - but right now all that mattered was that the crew agreed to help.
"Please, I wouldn't ask if I had any other choice...", (Y/N) added quietly after a few more seconds of silence.
"Of course, I'm coming to save you, (Y/N)-chan~", Sanji was the first one to speak up in his sing song voice with hearts in his eyes. For him it wasn't even a question at all. All he saw was a damsel in distress and he'd be the knight in shining armour to come and save the day. He could already picture himself as the hero of the battle and all the ladies clinging on to him to show their gratitude. It was Usopp that had to break the flirtatious cook out of his ramble with a slap on the back of his head.
"What are we even debating about? Of course, we're helping, guys! She's one of us", Chopper agreed. The ship's doctor was always a loyal soul. Chopper and (Y/N) both were outsiders before they met the Straw Hats so she knew how important his nakama were to him.
"No, Chopper. That's exactly the case! She's not. Not anymore", Nami objected, "she should've thought about that before betraying the whole crew. We can't always drop everything just because a former acquaintance happens to have a problem"
Nami liked to say that she was only upset for Zoro - and she really was. She knew that the mosshead was utterly in love with the other woman. She could tell from the way he would loosen up around her, she could tell by the way he would look after her to make sure nothing and nobody would ever upset or hurt her, she could tell by the way he was slightly - only slightly - less annoying when he was around her but the truth was also that Nami was hurt for herself too. (Y/N) was her friend, the first girl that joined the group before Robin finally made them a trio. They had talked about their plans and then (Y/N) just chose the domestic life over everything they had dreamed of?
"And what will you do the next time you'll be in trouble? We won't always be around to save the day", the red-head now spoke directly to (Y/N).
"I promise, I won't ever bother you again, but you haven't seen what I've seen. I'm not asking for myself..."
Of course, she wasn't asking for selfish reasons. Zoro knew that. (Y/N) always chastised him for being so stubborn. But the swordsman knew that she was honestly none the better. If he ever told her that, she'd never admit it but it was the truth. And so he also knew that (Y/N) was far to proud to come and ask them for help so soon after leaving the crew - well, except if she had no other choice. But it didn't really matter anyways, if she was in danger or even just in any type of discomfort, he'd always come and save her.
Zoro had heard enough, "We're helping"
It was the first time that (Y/N) looked at him since she entered the ship. She looked like a scared deer with how wide her eyes were. It was clear to him that she didn't expect him to stand up for her at all. Did she really think that lowly of him? Why did that thought sting? If Nami was anything to go by, he should hate her and helping her should be the last thing on his mind but he just couldn't help his feelings. This time it was Zoro that couldn't stand the tension, so he tore his eyes away from his ex-lover.
"Zoro, are you-", Nami seemed unsure.
"Either we all go or I'll go alone, I'm done talking about this", and with those words the swordsman stood up from the table and left the room. When he passed (Y/N) on the way out, he had to side-step as to not bump into her but just that act alone was the closest he's been to her in a long time.
"Guess, it's settled then", Luffy laughed, "(Y/N) lead the way!"
************************************************************************
Zoro and (Y/N) were lying on the deck of the Sunny at the moment talking about anything and eveything. Usually the mosshead would have a afternoon nap but instead (Y/N) and him decided spend some time together soaking up the last sunrays of the day.
"Is there anything else you want out of life?", (Y/N) asked her boyfriend, who had his head comfortable rested on her lap.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean... other than becoming the world's greatest swordsman?"
"No, why would I?"
"Well, you made that promise to a friend when you were a child. You're a man now. Isn't there anyhting else that you could wish for? In addition to being the best? I mean what happens once you reach your goal?"
Zoro was quiet for a moment, it was clear to (Y/N) that her lover had truly never ever considered there possibly being more.
"Well, what about you then?", he positioned himself so that he was now looking up at her.
"I guess, I'd like to be married someday", she answered nonchalantly.
"Why?", Zoro's voice dripped with confusion but there was also somehting else... judgement maybe?
"I don't know, I think I just like the thought of having that special bond with a person, you know? Belonging together, having each other's back...", she trailed off towards the end. She could feel her cheeks heat up. Talking about feelings was so much easier when drunk...
"Oi! Everything okay with you?", Zoro sounded amused, "you sound exactly like curly-brows"
"Why? Because I want to belong somewhere?", she was irritated by his reaction.
"Don't be so dramatic", the swordsman rolled his eyes, "you belong to the crew like all of us"
She wiggled her way out from underneath him not wanting him on her anymore.
"Do you really not understand how that's different? I just don't want to be just someone's girlfriend for the rest of my life", she was starting to get frustrated now.
"Just someone's girlfriend? And being someone's wife is better? What kind of goal is that?", (Y/N) could sense that Zoro was not taking her seriously at the moment, which made her even more furious. Unfortunately the witch was an angry-crier, so wasn't long before the tears started to fill her eyes. When he saw her reaction, he added, "Damn, you are so sensitive"
"And you are always so goddamn insensitive! Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall!", (Y/N) knew she shouldn't yell but the way he was talking down to her made her feel so helpless.
"I don´t want to talk to you anyways when you're being so difficult. I should've just taken a nap", he was annoyed by her behavior.
"Fine!", with that she stood up and walked away from her boyfriend but as she was walking inside the Sunny she turned around telling him, "and for your information, the are some things that Sanji actually gets very right, you know..."
She knew that indirectly comparing him to the cook would rub him the wrong way but she really couldn't resist.
"Oi, are you actually trying to start a fight or what?!", Zoro yelled after her, raising his voice for the first time the entire conversation.
Zoro mindlessly sat by the railing sharpening his katanas. Would things be different today had he acted a little more sensitive during their fight? Back then he didn't pay it anymore mind. In fact, he didn't think (Y/N) would've either. They had had far bigger fights - or so he thought - but guess it was more important to her than he anticipated. Maybe he wasn't enough for her... Was she really that unhappy?
"Hey...", Zoro was pulled from his thoughts by (Y/N) herself. It was the first time that she directly spoke to him since her confession on Sabaody, "I just wanted to thank you for speaking up back then. You really saved us"
Us... Zoro felt a sting in his chest. Of course, her new man and their son. Helping her wasn't even a question for him but the thought that she was in that situation to begin with made him angry. What kind of man doesn't protect his family?
"Don't mention it", he grunted, still not looking up from his blades.
"No, I mean it. If it wasn't for you I don't know what I'd do", Zoro couldn't help but notice that the way she was talking to him wasn't as familiar anymore almost like they were strangers. First the crew and now (Y/N) too. All this tiptoeing around made him sick - he wasn't used to being pitied and he didn't like it. One bit. He would almost have preferred it if she had just sad down with him and talked... normally?
As if she had read his mind, she asked him if she could sit with him for a moment. She took the shrug she got in returned as a 'yes' and sat down opposite from him.
"Zoro... I - I really never meant to hurt you", she continued. He wasn't sure if he wanted to have this conversation now but the alternative was her leaving again, so...
"It's my own fault. I should've known better", he answered.
"What? Why would you say that?", the woman opposite of him truly sounded upset with his statement. She was trying to catch his eye but he adjusted himself so that he was now facing the water.
"I wouldn't give you what you wanted. I was too occupied with my goal of becoming the strongest. All the training, the exercising...", he trailed off towards the end. "Logical consequences", he tried to sound unbothered.
The witch furrowed her brows, "No... No, no. Where is that coming from?"
"You told me you wanted to get married someday and I didn't take you seriously"
She remembered the fight but hadn't thought about for ages - especially because - in her mind - it wasn't so big of a deal. But then again, the swordsman also never heard what happened after the fight.
When Sanji entered the dining area the first thing he noticed was a sniffling (Y/N). With the speed of lightning he was kneeling in front of her, tracing soothing cirlces on one of her hands.
"(Y/N)-chan! What happened? Who hurt you?", the cook jumped up from his position on the floor.
"It's nothing, Sanji. Just a little fight", she wiped her tears away and tried to smile up at him.
"Was it that stupid Marimo? I'm going to break his face for making you cry", he was already halfway out of the room before the witch could even react.
"Sanji, no, please don't", she pleaded. Usually she'd be the last person to stop either one of them from starting a fight with the other but this time was different.
When the blond heard how desperate she sounded he stopped in his tracks, instead he turned around and started to prepare some tea for himself and the girl.
Once the tea was served, he sat down with her, so they could talk.
"It's silly...", she tried to dismiss the problem but Sanji wouldn't have it.
"How silly can it be if it makes you cry?", at the mention of her tears she swore there were distinct flames in his irises.
"It's just... Zoro and I were talking about our goals in life and when I told him I'd like to get married someday, he didn't seem to like the idea"
"How could anybody say 'no' to a proposal from you? I would marry you in an instant ~", where the witch had seen flames a moment ago, there were now hearts in his irises.
"Oh yeah? Sanji, no offense but you'd marry any woman that's not on the tree by three", she couldn't help but laugh, "But in fact, I wasn't proposing to him. We were fighting because he's just so... insensitive? You know, sometimes it's like only his thoughts and feelings are what make sense to him and so other thoughts and feelings are irrational and therefore not valid..."
"Stupid.. selfish.. douchebag.. mosshead..", Sanji was talking more to himself than to the girl sitting opposite of him, "why are you even putting up with him? You could easily find a better man that would cherish you and worship the ground you walk on"
The witch was sure the cook was talking about himself but let it slide for the moment.
"I love him", she shrugged, "what you don't understand is, that I'd rather have a thousand fights and never ever get married than to marry somebody else"
In that moment, the cook genuinely could feel how serious the girl was.
" - but don't tell him that. Otherwise, I'll never get him to tie the knot", she quickly added.
"I wouldn't dream of it", the blond confirmed.
"So, and now let's make dinner, yes? I'm starting to get hungry", (Y/N) was nudged Sanji in the side, a bright smile lighting up her face.
To further cheer her up, the cook promised to prepare the witch's favourite meal for dinner and (Y/N) was happy to help and spend some more time with her friend.
(Y/N) was in the midst of stirring one of the many pots, that were cooking on the stove - with Luffy as their captain a single dish would never be enough - when she heard Zoro's voice from outside the kitchen.
"Oi! (Y/N) come quick! There's something I want to show you"
The girl turned to the cook, who by the look of it was busy with adjusting the taste with seasoning so every dish was nothing short of perfect.
"Is it okay if I leave you to it now?", she smiled.
"Are you sure? The stupid marimo didn't even apologize"
"Positive", she shrugged, "I'm not angy anymore and I'm sure he isn't either. Why waste time being pissed at each other when you could also just spend the time that you have together being happy?"
And with that she skipped towards the door leading to the deck where her stubborn, stupid marimo headed boyfriend was already waiting for her. But just before she could leave the kitchen she made an abrupt stop, returned to where she left the cook standing and gave him a kiss on the cheek, which almost made the receiver levitate.
"Thank you, Sanji"
"Zoro, no... There's nothing you could've said or done differently that would've changed anything. I'm... so sorry", she hoped that this would convince him that it really wasn't a 'him-issue' and that he shouldn't give up on love all together, but he remained silence. When she realized that he wouldn't answer her she made a move to get up but just before she could leave Zoro spoke up.
"I don't hate you, you know?", it was the first time during their conversation that he had looked at her - really looked her in the face. She could see that he still loved her. He has always been bad at articulating his emotions but that was okay for her because she could always tell how he felt about her. He showed her. Two years of seperations didn't change that.
She didn't expect him to say anything now - least off all that. Of course, she felt glad to hear it but still she couldn't help but to feel guilty... like she didn't deserve forgiveness for all the pain she caused.
"I wouldn't blame you", she sat back down.
"I could never. Three days are one thing. Two years a whole nother", he shrugged, "Besides, Nami hates you enough for the both of us"
The witch sat there shocked but once she saw Zoro's smirk, she let out a relieved laugh.
"I think Nami hates me enough for the whole crew", she giggled.
The two of them started teasing each ofther and for a moment it felt like before. Before Sabaody, before (Y/N)'s confession, before their separation.
"By the way, I like your dress", the woman told Zoro with a deadpan look. It took a few moments for her words to register in his mind before he started yelling.
"Dress?! Are you blind, woman??"
When she saw how frustrated he was with her she couldn't hold back her giggles.
Their laughs could be heard all over the Sunny, much to the bewilderment of a certain navigator.
"Look at that! How could he be laughing with her like that after everything she put him through?", she turned to Robin.
"They love each other. Feelings don't change from one day to another"
"Well, for her they apparently did...", Nami retorted.
The older woman sent the red-head a knowing smile but chose to stay silent.
************************************************************************
The battle was in full effect and (Y/N) was in awe of how strong everybody has become over these last two years. Even the self-proclaimed coward trio of Usopp, Nami and Chopper did a lot of damage to the enemy crew. A lot of parts of town have been destroyed during the fight but the witch knew that this was the lesser of two evils and the townspeople would work together once everything was over to build it up again.
"They're like vermin!", Nami shouted. She was right. The pirates weren't strong - at least not compared to the Straw Hats - but they were many and they were everywhere.
"Doesn't matter. We're stronger", Ruffy laughed.
During the fight (Y/N) felt like she never left the crew, working together like a well maintained machine. For a moment she forgot about the struggles and that all of this would be only temporary - that they would leave once the threat was over - but then a loud explosion pulled her back to reality. A cloud of black and grey smoke rose up from just outside of town where the forrest began.
"My house!", the young witch shouted, "I need to go- I need- I-"
The others could see the genuine fear in her eyes as she was running towards where the flames were blazing up from afar.
"I'm coming with you", Zoro started to follow her.
The girl stopped in her tracks, "Wait, no you can't come"
"Why? Don't be ridiculous. You'll need help"
"Yes, but not from you", she her voice sounded urgent, "Sanji? Can't you come? Or Robin?"
"What the hell is wrong with you? You're wasting time!", the swordsman was getting angry. Why would she rather want the waiter's help before his? He could keep her safer that any body else on the crew but of course she had to be stubborn again.
"Both of you are wasting time. I'm coming", Robin interjected. Zoro tried to object but before he could both of the women already took off.
"What are you hiding, (Y/N)?", the older of the two asked.
"You'll see soon enough"
************************************************************************
Once the fight was over the forrest floor around the hut was littered with pirates. Neither (Y/N) nor Robin believed in taking prisoners. Fortunately, (Y/N)'s little house and garden were unscathed.
"How?", Robin was puzzled.
The younger woman sent her a bright smile, "That's Mim's doing"
"Mim?"
And so (Y/N) told her about her mentor. Mim was an older woman - an old hag to be specific - that took care of (Y/N) when she landed on her island two years ago. She was strict and a little grim but also extremely warm-hearted and as chance would have it, she was known as the island's sorceress. At first (Y/N) believed that it was only hearsay, like it had been in her home village, but she quickly realized that the old lady was an actual witch and better yet - she would teach her.
"I see. So, your mentor protected your home with a spell", Robin concluded as the both of them walked over to the little hut.
As they walked up to the door, an old woman and a little child came up to them. When Robin saw the little boy with the green hair and the outstreched arms, she quickly realized why (Y/N) was so against Zoro accompanying her.
"You need to tell him, (Y/N)"
"I can't, Robin. It wouldn't change a thing"
"You don't know that", she insisted.
But before (Y/N) could give an answer, they heard the voice a certain green-haired swordsman.
"What wouldn't change a thing?"
(Y/N) stiffened up. When Zoro saw the little boy in her arms his eyes immediately grew wide. The whole crew waited in anticipation.
It was the toddler that broke the silence with his babbling, signaling for his mother to be wanting to be let down. Once she set him down the little boy immediately started to wobble his way over to Chooper, where he promptly fell on his behind and happily started to wildy gesture around.
"Is that - ? Why did- ? When-?", Zoro was lost for words and so were the others. It was Nami that spoke up first.
"(Y/N)...", she walked over to the other girl and hugged her tight, "I'm so sorry"
"You didn't know", she assured the navigator, "to be honest? I probably would have reacted the same way". She sent her friend a half-smile.
"Ma-ma?", the toddler demanded his mother's attention, two fists full of Chopper's fur in both of his chubby hands.
"Ah. No, no. Leave the nice Tanuki alone, honey", she walked over to the little boy scooping him up in her arms again, ignoring the ship doctor's protests over the misidentification.
Zoro cleared his throat to get her attention back to him. As much as he enjoyed the moment of reconciliation, he still thought there was some things the two of them had to talk about.
Within seconds the mood switched yet again and all of a sudden everybody was reminded of the reality of the situation they were in.
"Maybe we should give those two a minute or two...", Robin suggested.
"Yeah", (Y/N) answered but didn't take her eyes off of Zoro, "Sanji, why don't you cook something nice for us? The fridge should be stocked...". Her suggestion was met with instant approval from their ever hungry captain.
Sanji just nodded, still not having processed the newly gained information. How could the marimo be a father??
Nami made grabby hands towards the Mini-Zoro in (Y/N)'s arms. Usually she was rather unimpressed with babies. But this was different. This baby belonged to her best friend and... Zoro.
"Come to aunty Nami", (Y/N) didn't hesitate for a moment to hand him over to the red-head. Had it been Luffy or Usopp she'd think twice but she trusted Nami to take care of her baby.
"I'll leave you two to it, so you can talk", the navigator continued, "What's the little man's name by the way?"
"Oh, I decided to name him Sanji", (Y/N) answered seriously.
"Excuse me?!", Zoro was shocked.
"Just joking! I'm sorry", she tried to calm the mosshead down. From behind her, she could see Usopp and Nami snickering behind their hands and Sanji nearly dying of heart palpitations. "It's Sora", she added quietly as the others left her and the swordsman alone.
"Is (Y/N) coming back now?", the witch heard Chopper ask somewhere in the background but she didn't have the mental capacity to think about anything but Zoro at the moment.
"Sora...", he repeated thoughtfully once they were alone, "Does he- does he have my name?"
(Y/N) felt anxious. Would he like that?
"Well...", she started but had to stop because she didn't know what to say, "I mean... yeah?"
"Roronoa Sora...", Zoro didn't know how to properly express his feelings in the moment. Hell - he didn't even know himself. But he knew that he liked the sound of that.
"Why didn't you say anything?", he asked her. It was almost like a plea.
"Would it have changed anything? I didn't want to burden you"
"Burden me?", he was in disbelief, "How could you ever burden me?"
"Don't you understand? I was alone on this island. All alone and I had to make a decision" she was getting emotional - for the first time since her confession. There were no more jokes and funny digs to mask how she really felt.
Zoro felt terrible, he knew how hard it was for her to feel isolated and then to go through something like this without any help? When they first got together he would've never thought that he'd ever grow so attached to the girl but it didn't take long for him to really fall madly and deeply in love with her. Sometimes he'd feel bad that couldn't really express how he truly felt for her but he promised himself he would do anything in his power to protect her. But he couldn't even do that.
"You had your goal... and... and... I never wanted to hold you back", (Y/N) couldn't stop the tears from falling anymore. Being separated from him was the worst feeling in the world but she would give up everything and more for him.
Zoro pulled her into his chest, holding her close and tucking her head underneath his chin. From the way hear hands would immediately grab at his robe, it was noticeable how much she missed his touch.
"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I'm sorry I wasn't there. I'm sorry you felt like you had to lie", he hated that she felt like she had to protect him. The crew - especially Nami - had been so terrible to her, "I love you more than anything..."
She pulled back and looked up at him. Tears still streaming down her face. Even now, he couldn't help but to think how beautiful she was. And for the first time in over two years his lips met hers.
The kiss wasn't hungry or sensual. Zoro could taste the salt from her tears on her lips but it didn't bother him at all.
Once they broke apart she smiled up at him, "I've missed you"
************************************************************************
"Are you sure?", Nami shouted down from the Sunny.
"A pirate ship is no place for a child", (Y/N) answered back.
It's been a week since the fight. The townspeople were already in the process of building up what's been broken and it was time for the Straw Hats to move on. Of course, the offered the witch to join them again but nothing changed for her. She had to think about her son first and foremost - as much as she would miss life on the sea. Most of the crew already boarded the ship. It was only Zoro left on the beach with (Y/N) and their son.
"I guess it's goodbye then, huh?", the witch had a sad smile on her face.
"I promise it's not forever. As soon as Luffy is pirate king I'll come back for you... both of you", the mosshead still wasn't the most secure in his new role as a father but as long as he had (Y/N) he knew that it'd be alright.
(Y/N) went in for what would be the last hug for a long, long time, "Promise me you'll be safe. Who's gonna make you take care of yourself when I'm not there?", she smiled.
The two of them exchanged a few more kisses and 'I love you's before the crew told them it was time to depart. During the last hug, Sora, who was seated in his mothers arm reached, out and grabbed his father's cheek with a happy laugh. Zoro furrowed his brows for a moment but then quickly started grinning.
"And you keep an eye out for your mother, yes?"
The toddler babbled as if to confirm that he understood his father's order.
A loud sob disrupted the family moment. When they turned to the Sunny they saw the whole crew smiling down at them - much to the discomfort of Zoro, who was still not entirely at ease with PDA. It was Franky that the initial sob came from. The cyborg has always been prone to tears but on closer examination it was almost the whole crew that was at least a little teary-eyed. Everyone except Luffy, who had a puzzled look on his face.
"Oi, that baby looks like Zoro..."
That sentenced earned him a hefty slap at the back of the head from nami and a hearty laugh from (Y/N).
"I'm gonna miss you guys so much", she smiled through tears.
"We'll be back before you know it, (Y/N)-chan~", Sanji shouted down to her.
"Oi! Let my girlfriend alone! Nobody's gonna miss you", the swordsman, who had joined the others on the ship by now, yelled at the cook.
(Y/N) stayed on the beach listening to the two of them fight until they were too far away to make out the words anymore. Then she turned to the little mosshead in her arms.
"Guess, it's just us now huh? Roronoa Sora..."

Ok so the Eurovision final night is one of your Bojere roman empires right? Cause it definitely is mine and I think we as a society should not stop talking about it, even if it happened exactly 8 months ago (wtf how)... Can you like pinpoint the best moments that made you go AAAA or just tell some thoughts idk? I wish I could come up with a decent question to make it easier for you but my brain goes brrrr and I just want to talk about them 🥲
Aaaahhhhh omg well there are two different answers to this.
Um, apparently this got long so. In this essay I will
Eurovision final night, you say? Look, this post and its notes cover a lot of what makes me want to flip tables and gnaw my own arm off about that night. That hug? And how Bojan dropped everything and comforted him and made him laugh? How Jere cried in the bathroom and one reason why was that he didn't know when he'd see Bojan again? How Bojan lost his phone and missed his flight? (Matti in a recent interview said that the afterparty at the hotel was epic, and please, I need to know more why didn't they ask him to elaborate asdfasfgg) Soooo, yeah, all of that. The emotions ran so high that night that I feel like we got to see behind the public image they wanted to convey, behind the stories and clout. There was nothing to promote anymore, the only thing that was left after the results came was what they were to each other. Everything we know about them that night has come from other people, and it's not even that much.
Which brings me to the other part, which is your wording "Can you like pinpoint the best moments that made you go AAAA" (and here is where I'm sidetracking from your initial ask about esc final night)
I have a confession to make. I wasn't on board the bojere boat at that point, not yet. I was following Jere on insta, so I saw the stuff he was posting, and there was a big deal being made of their bromance in Finnish media, but at that time? I thought it was cute, but I also thought I was immune, brainrot/shipping-wise. I really thought the bromance stuff would not affect me, no, I had been burnt too many times by the straight dudes who hugged each other to make fans happy and earn those screams and clicks. I wanted the real thing, you know?
So I thought it was cute. Until a little after ESC when it didn't seem to die down and then suddenly I was watching clips and stories and catching up on stuff I had missed during the preparties and Liverpool and then I was reading fic and reading what people said about them and.. it was downhill from there.
The exact moment it all really clicked for me was when Bojan turned up in Finland. Those motherfuckers were actually keeping their promise to see each other again? And that soon? The utter joy together on stage? Bojan's face in the piggy train? All their shenaningans that weekend? Bojan's naruto run at the airport?
Um yeah, that's when I knew it was over for me. Goddammit.

"The Right Question" Deleted Scene
(This was written before a certain someone decided that dramatic self-sacrifice was the best way to deal with the Spider-man reveal instead of an argument. I'm too fond of the Osborn Angst TM which it contains to delete it, so here it is.)
Harry didn't even know what time it had been when he went to bed. He'd been too exhausted, mentally and physically, to so much as bother to change out of his clothes. All he knew about what time it was when he woke up was that it was light outside and his phone was ringing.
He flipped it over, saw the caller ID, and answered immediately only to hang up, put it on vibrate, and drag himself into the shower. He was...considerably less sore than he'd expected, given the fact that he'd climbed the stairs all the way up the damn Oscorp tower, which was probably thanks to the suit's healing function, but he was still tired and achy. Sleeping in your clothes was never a good feeling even when you hadn't spent the evening being electrocuted.
When he got out of the shower, he poured himself a glass of scotch. He shouldn't have been drinking in the morning, certainly not before breakfast, but what the hell did it matter? He was dying anyway. Even if he managed to get Oscorp back, all that would do was give him something to occupy himself while he died.
Slowly.
Horribly.
Turning into a thing like Norman had been, with green, scaly skin and pointed nails, until he had to hide himself in the dark behind curtains because anyone who saw him would rightly recoil in horror. It was all very well for Aunt May to say that it was your impact on those who loved you that lived on after your death; she had people who loved her.
People didn't love Harry. What was it about him, he wondered, that made everyone push him away? It had started with Norman, but it hadn't stopped there. Did they somehow sense the disease that was crawling through his veins, waiting to turn him into that horrible creature that still lived in his dreams? Did they know that there was something wrong with him?
He stepped out onto the balcony and looked out over the city he'd helped to save last night. That should have been a happier thought than the last, but it was soured by the reminder of Peter. Peter who'd sworn they'd be best friends forever when they were ten and Harry was shipped off to boarding school. Peter who had promised to be there for him after his father's death. Had hugged him.
Peter who had lied to him. Peter who was Spider-man, who could save him, but refused to.
Harry turned away from the view and choked on his drink, because Peter was standing on his balcony.
"You didn't answer the phone," Peter said plaintively, tugging off his mask.
"Why would I?" Harry asked.
Peter just looked at Harry with big, sad brown eyes. Harry wanted to punch him in the face. "Come to see what I'm turning into?" Harry asked, well aware that he looked terrible.
"No," Peter said. "Harry, my blood wouldn't save you."
Harry scoffed and turned away, reaching for the decanter.
"But I know how to make an actual cure."
Harry froze. "What?" he asked. "What are you saying?"
His hands were shaking again, and he put down the glass before he dropped it.
"I know how to make a cure that will work," Peter said. "The spider bite gave me my powers because my dad used his DNA on the spiders, so when he disappeared, nobody could continue his experiments or use the venom for anything – if they tried, it would just poison them. But he backed up all his notes, somewhere nobody would find, and I bet, with my blood, we can reverse engineer what he did and make a cure that will work for you."
"What? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I only just found out," Peter said. "My briefcase full of junk turned out not to be junk. It was the key to my dad's backup lab. C'mon. Put some shoes on, I'll show you."

Hey. Asuka
ASUKA FROM TEKKEN ❕❕❕
@scalproie
NEW: The Lili Essay
Tumblr media
My first impression of them
I started playing Tekken with Tekken 6 when I was like 12 or 13 or slightly younger I can't exactly remember. I just know it was gifted to me one Christmas by my step aunt who randomly chose it because she heard I liked fighting games; I didn't care about it to be honest. It was too different and difficult (I played Kazuya because he was on the box, big mistake when my baby brain had never heard of Mishima gameplay) so I stuck to Street Fighter and Soul Calibur. What got me to play it for real was seeing and playing Street Fighter x Tekken when I was 14 and it was new.
I saw Asuka for the first time that I can remember during her SFxT trailer and I loved her IMMEDIATELY. She looked like an aggressive brawler with a temper who could think on her feet, and she never gave up even when outnumbered by Chun-Li & Cammy (until Lili decided to help her). Her personality was and is the type I gravitate toward in most of my favorite characters. Also I loved her classic default biker outfit and I still think along with her Gi that it's the best one (the Donald of Duck for T8 one has grown on me though)
In summary she looked resilient, tenacious, capable, but not afraid to ask for help despite her ferocity and having a temper.
When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like)
When I got my hands on her gameplay in SFxT and it felt true to my impression of her, which made me go back and play her in T6. Completely different character in T6, I was so confused when people called her a defensive type because SFxT and her personality felt the complete opposite of that. I went from learning a rush down bruiser to focusing on throws, patience, and keep away- and I'm a rush down main (and shitty Ibuki SF player) so it's hard 😭. But even if the gameplay changed the more I learned about her the more attached I grew to her personality.
Tumblr media
If my first impression had been during Tekken 5 like everyone else, I still would've liked her because the first time you see her she's being a fucking problem beating people she doesn't know half to death because their problems annoyed her fjhdhshs love a surface well intentioned mean bitch who wants revenge (and it sets up her being a hypocrite right away)
A song that reminds me of them
Stereopony - Sweet Blue
FLiP - Laila
FLiP - Ame no Onna (Rain Girl)
Sparking!! is also sung from her PoV I want to believe that
Lyrics (except Ame no Onna, can't find any sadly, neither Stereopony nor FLiP caught on in the West the way SCANDAL did to get a bunch of translations): 1 | 2
How many people I ship them with
Tumblr media
Her discord kitten
My favorite ship of them
AsuLili (indescribable)
Tumblr media
Gay Sex is getting so complicated these days
They are foils. Gay Tom & Jerry. They're so fucking goofy. They're a bit toxic. They're constantly married and divorced. They can't stand each other. They need each other. They communicate what words can't express. They're so frustrating. A story about gay sex because it's about the gay sex that isn't happening. Etc etc.
Asuka loves fighting, is cocky, loves confrontation, hates losing. But she pretends she's none of those things. She uses reasons like justice and honor and the right way to be as excuses to not confront who she really is. Lili loves fighting, is cocky, loves confrontation, hates losing. Pretends to be nothing but herself. Her reasons are honest about indulging her intentions to enjoy a fight while set on achieving what she wants. For both, violence is the means and the end.
They both value their families, but where Asuka follows what's expected of her in order to indulge her impulses, Lili rebels much to her own shame when it hurts her father. But she can't help being true to her desires. (When I talk about her in her own post I will again outline how her narrative is like a coming out story). Asuka doesn't rely on her words to say what she truly feels, Lili is from a world where words are a game of knives. You can't entirely take what they say at face value but rather what they're doing is what talks. Because they're both bad at talking to people. Imagine how much tension and uncertainty would've been resolved by now if even one of them had ever talked out why Lili picks on Asuka to get five seconds of her attention in the first place. But they never do that, they just start fighting!
They both have vulnerability problems. Lili's is that she struggles dropping her guard to express anything directly caring, and Asuka's is about not showing emotional weakness by projecting a tough attitude or letting her temper take over rather than think or dwell. They're so appealing because they're sooo close to realizing how alike they are but its their differences and weaknesses keeping them at verbal arms length.
It feels like Asuka awakens the sense of purpose Lili's been craving her whole life, the person around whom she can share the passion her father disproves of. For Asuka it's looking only at the surface of Lili's actions and being drawn to the challenge rather than defusing or investigating further. Up until T7 the most Lili really does is instigate in order to get attention then she drops it and goes home; only with 7 does she act controlling by registering Asuka for the Iron Fist Tournament without asking first. And STILL Asuka's solution isn't to call her back and talk about it but to go ahead and fight like usual.
I wish we got more insight rather than having to infer on how she feels about giving Lili exactly what she wants all the time rather than pursue any other option about it (on Lili's end we have Sebastian for her to bounce off of to infer her behavior is affectionate at heart). One reason for their impasse could also be that Lili doesn't know how to best reach Asuka aside from their duels, and she's not going to risk looking weak or being misunderstood by ruining their back and forth. But when you put a fight in front of Asuka, who loves any excuse to fight, she's not gonna think deeper about the why, she'll just fight. Lili spends a million hours thinking and plotting and calculating in circles to express herself toward someone who's very reactionary.
I think the fact that Asuka is capable of putting the ways Lili annoys her on hold to work with her when they have a common interest is telling in its own way. She doesn't really hate this girl. To her she doesn't get what Lili's deal toward her is exactly, but something about her as well as wanting to even their battle score keeps Asuka coming back into her company. The repression they both have going on is insane.
Also her reaction if Lili beats her in T7 isn't even angry about losing. She uses the word Kuyashii where the subtitles have her saying "Okay Okay!" Kuyashii literally means regrettable, emotionally painful etc. but in conversation is often meant like the English "This sucks!" / "It sucks!" with the intensity dependent on how/ in what tone the word is said. Since she also uses Kedo, the phrase you use similar to But in English when you want to add more onto your idea, I would translate her sentence as:
"This sucks but I can admit it. It's my loss!"
(Me and the constant struggle when I see English Localization (not translation) of other languages complicating shit or lying. The eternal war broken only by those brief moments we can agree on something.)
She thinks fighting is all Lili wants, and if Lili proves to be the better fighter then she's ok with that. Proud Asuka who starts and finishes fights taking shit from no one is ok with being bested by the girl she calls annoying. Of course what Lili actually wants is to be noticed, so she instigates to keep that going by slapping Asuka for being too dense to realize Lili wants to be looked at by her (and the way Laura Blanc delivered that Toi was so gay...no straight explanation for it). Which Asuka is...again willing to oblige with more fighting to best each other. Its made even funnier when her T7 intro states she considers Lili might fuck off if Asuka defeats her, or that maybe she won't. I don't think you want her to fuck off if you don't even try dropping it win or lose. They have each others phone numbers and its never explained how. To cite Asuka's prologue:
Since they first fought at the King of Iron Fist Tournament, Asuka felt that Lili was taking the whole rivalry nonsense a little too seriously. Asuka recalled Lili's phone call out of the blue a few days earlier:
"Hello, Asuka. I am sure you have heard the news that the King of Iron Fist Tournament is starting again soon. Worry not, I have already been gracious enough to register you for the competition. No trying to weasel out of it, you hear? I am ever so looking forward to fighting you."
As Asuka let her rage toward Lili's presumptuousness fly down the phone, Lili hung up. Fed up of being treated like a rich girl's plaything, Asuka thought that maybe if she beat Lili, the conceited little princess would leave her alone. Then again, maybe not... Asuka wondered how she could resolve the situation but came up with nothing. Eventually, she decided to go along with Lili's plan and enter the tournament.
Taking the nonsense too seriously, girl you keep participating in the nonsense every time it comes knocking. When she beats Lili in her ending and hears from the horse's mouth that she knows Asuka's situation is bad, that she could get dragged into the Mishima bullshit (mind you Lili HATES the Mishima's and her first instinct is to position herself in Asuka's corner should Asuka get involved, she sees her family is struggling and has no one, can easily lose their house, and she thinks I will throw my money at this to keep them alive- ok, ok, ok Ms. De Rochefort see you at Pride) her frustration that follows isn't because Lili knows this information, but that Lili dropped the bomb and wants to jump into it rather than explain. She's perfectly willing for once to listen to her, to talk to her without fighting, if Lili would just slow down about it! She even asks her to just explain several times!
T7 finally FINALLY gave us an out into set up for them communicating with words. My fic is going to look into what they'd do in the interlude between 7 & 8, how Asuka feels about what she now knows, but I NEED more answers officially when T8 drops. I would love more answers and a real look at how their dynamic has changed or grown, how they could both finally be major players and how Asuka will transform if she gets an arc.
It would have baggage, but I think if they finally talk reasonably Lili can atone for how much misunderstanding and stress she's caused; Asuka can find she does have someone supporting her, as someone who gives all her support to others constantly. She's been cared about and not really alone this wholeee time, if she got to know all of Lili's sides and that she's being helped because Lili cares- that would ease her mind. Then with those barriers out the way they could fully fall in love, in my opinion. What they have now is a form of love, but it's not mutual falling in love. It's undeniably messy. I want Lili being a foil to spur the catalyst toward Asuka accepting herself, recognizing her hypocritical selfish aspects so she can overcome them.
Little add on but I think it's cute that they spend the TT2 intro acting opposing with their usual nonsense, but then when Angel comes to fend off Ogre and the building shakes they drop it like their arguing/teasing they were just doing is nothing. Then given how they act when they have a third more pressing issue happening to both of them they would've worked together after the intro ends to figure out what's going on.
EDIT 11/16/2023: Since I wrote this essay we've had two open beta tests and got to see some character unique interactions as they are so far. Asuka more or less acts exactly as I expected when it comes to Lili (and they brought back her revenge toward Feng this is so fucking crazy this game HAS to finally give her more). But this time thanks to the updated voice acting she's also the nicest she's ever been toward her and that surprised me.
Here's the unique dialogues toward Lili: 1 | 2 | 3
Now my translation time, because the subtitles used are completely wrong except for the outro.
OUTRO VS LILI:
"Looks like it's my win. Feel free to come at me again."
SPECIAL INTRO VS LILI"
"Shaddup! That's my line! (OR: "Shaddup! I should be saying that!")
Interestingly this was translated correctly in Lili's reveal trailer, however now the new subtitles are not only wrong, but it does not match Asuka's motion capture. I have no idea what the hell was the thought process here.
RAGE ART VS LILI:
ACTIVATION: There's a few ways to translate 許さん (yurusan) here so I will list some options.
"I won't/haven't forgive/forgiven you!"
"I'm not letting this go on/I've had enough!"
"I'm not letting up!"
Personally for this scene's context I think "I've had enough!" makes the most sense.
FIRST HIT: "You dumbass!!"
FINAL HIT: "Today's the day we end* this!"
*As in their feuding/rivalry
The new voice work is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It's the first time she's sounded somewhat teasing and lighthearted towards her. Also again with the continuing to egg their fights on if the player beats Lili. Asuka refuses walking away from fighting Lili despite everything. Putting this together with her RA makes it seem like maybe she just doesn't want petty rivalry since she doesn't know Lili's beef with her. Fighting for the sake of fighting and outdoing each other is fine though.
And for fun and transparency I'll list the proper translations for Lili's dialogue too.
OUTRO VS ASUKA
"I did it Salt! I got my revenge over Asuka!"
INTRO VS ASUKA
"Have you prepared an excuse for when you lose?"
INTRO VS LEROY
*Notable in that she actually calls him Master Leroy as opposed to just his name
RAGE ART VS ASUKA
ACTIVATION: "Time for your punishment!"
FIRST HIT: "Oh poor Asuka..." (this is the spoken line, in the French official subtitles this was turned into "How rude of you Asuka...")
FINAL HIT: "You lose!" (FR Subs: "Accept your defeat!")
French subs sourced from this video as well as my French speaking friend who sent this ask in their posts talking about Lili's lines.
They continue to serve us mock love/hate fruity vibes. Quite honestly I feel Asuka is more on the fence about Lili rather than outright hatred. Yes things like the Netsu System can say one thing but her actions say another. That's all we have until there's a genuine answer.
When the Vie is Rose I don't know the song :
Tumblr media
Le sex gay gagne toujours etc. etc. The tension is tiring kiss already. They are even wearing matching outfits now in T8 Bamco PLEASE with the years of teasing!!
Asuka why are you looking at her like that; this Lili expression is also insane
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pack Mule Boyfriend
If you look at the Dark Resurrection intro it foreshadows them being relevant to each other in my opinion. They literally come after one another in order, but also Lili's scene ends with her ready to face another opponent, as Asuka's scene starts with preparing to pursue Feng. Chasing a new fight.
AsuLili got me to take Tekken seriously because of SFxT. I owe them forever.
EDIT: 11/16/2023 BAMCO WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS YA'LL WANT ME DEAD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My least favorite ship of them
I was going to put AsuLili again to be funny because of the problems in their relationship, but then I remembered people ship Asuka with Jin, you can't beat incest being among the lowest of the low.
A quote of them that you remember
"So that idiot actually went to school at some point." (About Jin)
Asuka: I finally found you! You're the Chinese guy that took out my dad, aren't you?
Feng: The weak don't deserve to live!
Asuka: Then that means you're going to die after I'm through with you, you jerk!
Your favorite outfit of them
Respect the classics
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your least favorite outfit of them
ALL of the bikini outfits, all of the manga artist Collab outfits (sexualized fetish shit in T5 and the T6 one just doesn't fit her personality and established style), and then the T7 outfit because it could have been amazing but it's designed around being sexualized especially with the huge cleavage cut, and then you pair it with the fan service camera angles on her in T7 and it's disgusting
Describe the character in one sentence
The Hurricane.
What’s the first thing you think about when thinking about the character?
What if I go back to zero?
Sexuality hc!
I will share this with you I've never thought hard about it, but what she has with Lili is absolutely gay and I think she would deny inside that she's gay and deny being gay if you asked directly but she's fucking gay, whether that be bisexual or lesbian I can't conclusively feel for until we see her interact with people besides Lili- she's some kind of homo
Your favorite friendship they have
We don't really see her with friends that I can remember, but her dynamic with Alisa in T6 was fun, she's mostly nice to her, trusts her enough to do what she asks, and doesn't realize she's talking to a robot which is hilarious. You also see her being friendly with Xiaoyu in the pachinko games but it's barely beyond a conversation or two.
During SFxT her Street Fighter crossover costume is a ninja because she asked Ibuki for ninja training, and I NEED to know how the fuck those two got along enough for that given how cunty they can be, and how complicated Ibuki's feelings are on what she is. Asuka must have really impressed her.
Best storyline they had
The Lili nonsense (beloved beloathed), ONLY because it's the one consistent and constant storyline she even Has that's about Her. In T6 she's a plot device tool so that you get to fight as her and she's along for the ride without thinking of anything except getting to hit people or things. In T5 she either gets her shit kicked in by Feng, beats up Feng and then moves on from it immediately with no further thoughts or reflection etc, or Jin ends up in her boobs for a shitty gag. These are more like events than a proper storyline because they just happen and they're dropped forever they don't flesh out or delve into a full arc to develop her.
Lili on the other hand gives her someone in whom she can see herself and who in a funny way keeps her from causing damage on the streets by funneling her aggression toward one person. The fact that she keeps going along with it rather than making any attempt to seriously ignore Lili also implies she probably knows all this in some way. Fighting Lili has become routine, someone who serves as a goalpost for her abilities since the Feng plot was dropped off a cliff. No it didn't go anywhere until T7 into T8, but it gave her something to care about besides throwing her life away. It did showcase a side of her personality by having another character be antagonizing, and the way Asuka's response to that changed across different iterations.
She's always been a nothing character because they made her to replace Jun in gameplay. So when you take away all the shoehorned shit they write to have her gameplay included, all she actually has is Lili in the gay Tom & Jerry circus. People put a lot of stock in her surname and I understand it and I agree with it on a level, but then people also forget her direction has ALWAYS been confused and half assed. Lili did not start that she just presented an easy target to see the problem. Also characters who have lives outside the Mishimas have always been trashed, and we don't always need characters centered around Mishimas as well; T8 seems like we might all finally get more.
Worst storyline they had
When you go to avenge your dad and end up fighting a demon having no idea what the hell is going on and then some guy with wings and horns passes out on you and you can't call a taxi or get cell service about it and then his face is in your tits and then you storm off because what the fuck has been today
A childhood headcanon
I don't think Asuka knows who her mom is and I think Harada has kept her mother ambiguous on purpose. You could say she died or she's a deadbeat or something else is separating them, OR you could say it's Jun if you are a Harada Would Pull The Mr. Kazama Married Into the Family and Asuka is Jin's Half Sibling Shit As A Twist believer
So I think not knowing her mom made fitting in around kids with picture perfect/big families difficult, which probably made her fall back harder on her dad for support and throw herself more into learning Kazama Ryu, because that was his main teaching to connect with her
What do you think their first word was?
I have no idea lol
How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc)
I think Asuka became shy only when it felt like things got awkward or if she felt jealous, and if she was angry she becomes standoffish and cold, otherwise she would have been a noisy, social, and nosy kid always surrounded by people, much like what Harada has said about her being a typical outgoing Osakan teenager.
She probably started her meddling around this age the more she trained because she wanted to be a hero and help others and beat up bullies. That made her popular especially with the weaker kids. If you needed a favor you went to Asuka. Also I can't see her as anything other than a ball of energy, the child at cookouts who plays games with the other cousins and gives everyone heart attacks when she goes too far or picks up something she shouldn't. An entire childhood of scraped knees.
EDIT: After thinking about it and checking the materials again, I think people take advantage of Asuka's skills. The minute she fell into trouble though they leave her hanging. To her she thinks she's popular or at least liked because she provides justice, a public service. She believes that people would feel even a little loyalty to her for this, but I noticed the moment her family lost everything, no one she knew before is anywhere to be found. Part of it is fear after the damage Feng did, part of it is not wanting to associate with a loser, part of it is they didn't really value Asuka as much as she thought, and finally her broken angry mental state once overwhelmed drove any help away. She cultivated this sense of identity and trust among her peers and community since childhood, but the second she needs to lean on someone they disappear. Indication that the "good" she believed of herself was in fact her being a tolerated nuisance.
The most random ship you've seen people have with them
Hwowrang, Hwowrang?? Also he would've been 21 when she was 17 in T7
Tumblr media
A weird headcanon
Not afraid to eat worms as a kid 🪱 won't do it when older unless she's stranded and the only food to survive are grubs
When do you think they were at their happiest?
Before T5 and after beating Feng playing her arcade mode even if its non canon. We don't know exactly how she felt during the interlude between T7 and T8 yet but I hope Lili brought her some semblance of normalcy and helped her Dad further. I hope it brought her some kind of growth if not happiness, if going by her saying It's not good to fight all the time was something she's learned because of her experience living with Lili, assuming its not Jun influenced. I say this because of the next question:
When do you think they were at their lowest?
T6 actually. T5 was her being fueled by a purpose so that even if she's in pain there's something she has to strive to do. In T6 that adrenaline has worn off and now she's running herself ragged. She feels powerless in her personal situation, Jin throwing the world into chaos takes away any illusion of stability in the world compared to how unstable her life has become. There's nowhere she can go that feels normal or safe because of him, and because it's so painful she isn't going to fall back on talking things out when that was never her communicative strong suit.
She's stressed all the time, alone, broke, angry, fearful that everyone who comes near her is trying to hurt her or her family. All of her VS dialogues are her being driven by paranoia and hyper-vigilance- she tells Jin directly mincing nothing that she's stressed and him blowing up the world has only compounded it. She's like a dog chained to a post in the yard that bites and snaps at anyone coming near because she paints everyone as an enemy, even if they want to help her. Playing as her in the Campaign she's glad to be fighting because its a distraction from being overwhelmed emotionally. Asuka was drained and running on nothing but frustration and exhaustion. She feels traumatized.
Also why was Kazuya looking for other Kazamas when he talks to her... (Was he looking for a person who can stop his son like Jun? Trying to find Jun herself?). Side note, Kazuya would never be her friend but I think part of him would respect her resolve and envy that she has a father who loves her enough for her to fight for him willingly. Aside from her connection to Jun and any positives he finds in the Kazama Clan's spirit, maybe in her he'd even see a bit of himself or what kind of son he could have been were Heihachi not a piece of shit. If things had been better would he do as Asuka does?
I think like Lili though he would tell her, harshly in his way, to stop pretending there isn't an element of selfishness in why she fights or that she seems to enjoy the power from doing so- rather than acting as if she's doing a public service. That indulgence of power, projecting confidence, the way fear and loss have pushed her into a cold insistence on self reliance, fighting alone against forces out of her control, and her anger I see as the most Kazuya-like things about her, so he'd see it too. The Kazuya - Asuka Connection, even.
Her "Devil" duality has nothing literal about it like voices in her head or nightmares, but it's still the internal struggle of who you are by what you express and what you keep hidden. Her "Devil" like Kazuya's is about wielding power but feeling there isn't much room for vulnerability when doing so. And in the same way Kazumi literally passed on her Devil Gene while Heihachi awakened it in Kaz, what happened to Asuka's family is her broken inheritance that pushes her toward a pursuit of power to defend it. If you want to stretch it further you can say if Asuka does canonically have the ability to counter DG like Jun, and Mr. Kazama married into the family rather than be born into it, Asuka gets that cleanse ability from whoever her mother is, and her father being brutalized was her catalyst to eventually draw that ability out.
T6 Kazuya sees T6 Asuka defending her home like a mad dog and when he looks into her eyes he sees his 5 year old self after having survived the cliff fall.
Actually no they probably would never be friends but its hilarious and maybe even a little cathartic to imagine them as friends. Asuka and her 50 year old coworker friend dynamic, then suddenly she learns he's also Jin's dad. She starts calling him Uncle Kaz. Jin's like why are you friends with my dad, why does he treat you like his kid. Lili screams cries throws up in confusion realizing her lame boyfriend is friends with a fucking Mishima. What do you mean you're related to him and Jin Kazama?!! The evil guys on TV?! The company that bought out my Father???
EDIT 2/2/2024: 8 CONFIRMED ALL MAIN CLAN KAZAMAS ARE DEAD INFERRING THIS IS WHY ASUKA DOESN'T KNOW HER FAMILY
So with that in mind it only added to the ways she contrasts Jin to me (Jin is pulled down literally and figuratively with drowning metaphors for how his self centered suicidal self loathing has destroyed him and he's hurting his chances with the people around him as much as himself; Asuka is continuously reminded she has no control in this world with something always being stacked against her or outside her understanding, the kingdom of control she builds believing if she minds her business and stays within what she knows she's fine is founded on sand- yet she meets everything despite how it hurts her and persists anyway) and I still think if Kaz talked with her they'd be funny but also have more in common than they realize
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Future headcanon
Asuka reevaluates what martial arts (and violence) mean to her and she becomes the new leader of Kazama Ryu (in my opinion the only current master is Jun, since Asuka's father was brutalized by Feng I don't think he'd be able to continue practicing it- Jin doesn't count because his training was interrupted when he picked up Mishima Ryu) as an adult. She rebuilds the dojo's position as a school for self defense and spiritual growth (as opposed to continuing to become more destructive and ironically like Feng in her quest to defeat him). It becomes a place where people like her and Lili, who inside enjoy fighting for the sake of fighting, can channel that rage and sadistic thrill away from being destructive into becoming protectors ruled by sound judgement. If they're willing to learn and change she'll even accept the street punk types she used to beat up for fun.
As an adult I think it would be best for her to let go of being driven so much by her self interest, and to become humbler. Becoming less emotionally rash, she can have her fire still but become a person who considers and reasons before driving forward. She should fight for peace for real and be in a happier place mentally. A true warrior weighs their options before acting; there's a difference between using force to protect and instigating/escalating with violence.
What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone?
Whenever she doubts herself or feels afraid. With all I've said it's easy to imagine why. She can ask for help, but she still has to look cool about it, to me. Her vulnerability isn't quite so available yet unless she's truly snapped and breaking down.
When do you think they acted the most ooc
She's been pretty consistent because there isn't a lot to her in the first place, so I don't think Team Tekken have managed fucking up her 3 or 4 basic traits, askdjaskl even in that piece of shit spin off comedy manga- if anything LILI felt ooc and it was a portrayal of homophobic stereotypes.
I will also say SFxT was in character because it built even in a minor way on aspects Asuka already possesses, it just extended those parts to how she treats Lili.
When do you think they were being "themselves" the most?
When she tells Feng "You'll die when I'm through with you" before their rival battle in T5, you only get that line if you play as Feng when you meet her. If you play as Asuka it goes:
Asuka: Hey, you haven't seen a strange Chinese Kenpo fighter around here, have you? He's muscular... and looks like a... Hey! It's you! Feng: Yes. My name is Feng Wei. Asuka: You're my father's sworn enemy! You're mine!
After Winning
Asuka: You're pretty strong! Now I see why my father had such a hard time with you. But you are still no match for me. Well, now that I've avenged my father, it's time to have some fun! -
The Feng PoV one where she says she's going to kill him is so sad when you see her show up not in her default costume but in the Gi uniform. She's prepared to meet the same fate as her father or even die and she's going to represent the full dignity of her Ryu while doing it. The Dark Resurrection intro even sets this up because it shows Asuka meditating in the family dojo before tying her headband (an act associated with showing resolve, effort, and courage) as if she's going on a journey and wishing for luck/saying goodbyes, then it cuts to Yoshimitsu training because he wants his revenge against Bryan, then it cuts to Feng beating Lei (the man responsible for violent acts evading justice by literally beating up the cop sent after him) before he looks at the camera in a close up that matches Asuka's.
Even if you play as her she still says: "You're my father's enemy, you're mine!" - Asuka's father was unconscious on a machine fighting for his life while she's doing this. Did he tell her to go get revenge, or is she deciding that because she's full of rage? Instead of staying by his bedside and helping take care of him her response is violence to handle her grief, her possible self hatred for not being there when people were hurt. She's using this and her reactionary emotions to indulge her thrill for fighting, because even when she beats him she instantly puts her dad's skill down to make herself out as the best in battle. (You could also translate her line about it as "I see why Dad lost to you. Well, I still won." which sort of feels like the same thing just toned down, or perhaps can be read as Even if you are strong I'm the winner between us- still a flex but not as indirectly harsh to her Dad)
EDIT: 1/19/2024 I FORGOT TO SAY THIS BUT AFTER NON CANONICALLY BEATING FENG ASUKA CHOOSES TO STAY IN THE TOURNAMENT FOR FUN (that's what she meant when she said it's time to enjoy myself) SHE JUST LOVES BLOOD, SHE LOVES FIGHTING SO MUCH
There's so much to play with here because it touches directly on who Asuka becomes when she has a personal goal/grudge, while giving true insight into her ego. If she was 100% about helping and doing what's right she wouldn't make her victories about herself. If she had better self control and emotional maturity she wouldn't rush to put herself in harms way without even asking consent from the person she's doing it for. She doesn't consider how her Dad might feel if he wakes up to hear his daughter is in the hospital bed next to him or dead. She doesn't consider how much more of a disturbance or collateral she could cause/add on to when she fights gangs in public.
She just does what she wants and deals with the consequences as they come because its motivating and will feel good to go ahead. Because she wants to do it. She doesn't particularly care about collateral from others either as long as it doesn't happen where others and she herself has to see it. This is all the core of her character and its why she never would've made a good accessory to solving Jin's Devil Gene problem (aside from making a woman be nothing but a development tool for a man being trash as a device, which is often how fans propose it). She's proud and will prioritize doing what she wants to do for her own gain/catharsis/beliefs, and she's not helping someone she doesn't understand or who directly counters those beliefs and she thinks they should get their ass beat. So if she does help Jin in T8 I can only see that through a lot of work and some revelations.
You would have to convince her there's something in it for her (similar to why she kept fighting in T6 Campaign) or pull on her emotions. Very interesting then that she never actually chases Lili away aheem ahurm. She gets mad at Lili because Lili gives Asuka a taste of her own medicine (and because Lili misdirects rather than being blunt like Asuka is) in a sense, but by that same token she's receptive to the attention because Lili indulges what Asuka likes most. She just doesn't say it with words, but through battle. And by being there even if she groans about it when Lili drags her along to partner up in something.
And I won't forget that split second after Xiaoyu ran them both over and they share a look like Fuck fighting each other let's get her, before chasing Xiaoyu down fdjsfsf. Or that the pachislot had Asuka looking at Lili like C'mon join in with us and then you see Lili was staring longingly at her before looking away. Or how SFxT made Asuka a bit protective (in character as well since she does want to stand up for others at home even if the motive isn't entirely selfless, also not just physically protective, she tries to warn Lili not to be rude before things can get worse) when other people bully Lili, and reminds Lili that Lili herself said she'd be useless without Asuka. If the crossover and Tag games aren't canon Bamco why are they the gayest. You made that not me fjdgkdjg)
You can see how that bit of a lead in T5 is still consistent to her character even if its never presented so honestly afterwards. Those interactions were Asuka embodying her strengths and weakness. Then it was never that serious again until hopefully Tekken 8 brings it back.
If they could meet a character from another show/movie/etc, who would be the most fun for them to meet?
I want her being Ibuki's friend and learning from her and them going places as a plot line for an entire crossover game. They would get into so much and where Asuka accepts expectations and tries to exceed them, Ibuki rebels in a struggle to be an individual even as part of her is still pulled toward her inheritance. They would be iconic together. Ibuki would bring her to the Glade of Ninjas and everyone would be like What part of Secret do you not understand Ibuki. More Asuka in Street Fighter.
The most unnecessary thing they ever did?
"I don't appreciate being called annoying."
How do you think they would be as a parent? (and if they are a parent, how do you think they would be if they weren't?)
THE KAZAMA BLOODLINE CONTINUES
An AsuLili child would be a menace, a force of nature even. I can see Lili spoiling them the way she does Salt and the way her father spoils her with gifts she's not appreciative of (except she's confident her gifts will be loved instead). Asuka would also dote on them and probably already does dote on neighborhood kids or any who used to attend the dojo. She and Lili would be direct whenever they're firm with them, but Asuka can be more blunt about it, sometimes unintentionally harsh as a left over habit from her teenage days if they're involved in something that works up her emotions.
I can only imagine the blow up if her child tried to seek revenge and she tries to talk them out of it, they would not be able to walk out the house and go do it without her intervening 100%. She feels she needs to protect them as much as anyone else she loves, and if she can't stop them doing something stupid or drastic she makes sure they're as prepared as possible and understand the responsibility of their choices.
Would probably fight alongside them too or not be too far behind if they're in a dangerous situation to make sure they're not alone. When she starts seeing herself in them there's a mix of pride and frustration. Ideally they'd inherit the dojo, but above all what would matter to Asuka is raising someone courageous, with strong principles not doubting themselves constantly, who can and will forge their own path through life. Even if it means carving their own way differently from hers.
The funniest scene they had?
11:08 - 11:29
*sees Jin dying* "Somebody's getting their ass beat..I wonder if they're still alive- Oh shit it saw me LET'S GO BITCH."

“What I enjoy about Kai as a character and Bonkai as a pairing is the darkness there and the darkness that he brings out in Bonnie” !!!! ALL OF THIS. Bonkai in the hands of a writer who valued them and saw the potential, would have been one of the best ships out of that shit show (which is exactly why they paid them dust lol) But imagine it, Bonnie leaves the prison world and finally comes to the realisation that none of her friends care enough to fight for her, after everything she’s done for them, losing her grams, her mom, her dad, her freedom, and yet they couldn’t get together and figure out a way to get her home. All the sacrifices she made and they couldn’t even put their brains together and come up with a plan. And she just snaps and the only person there that knows what she feels, the only person whose observed how she and Damon interact, the only person whose spent enough time with her and only her, not her friends, and can see how used she is, how her kindness, her magic has been taken advantage of. That person is there and offers her something more exciting, more unpredictable and more dark, an offer she really can’t refuse. And then season 7 is the mystic falls losers trying to defeat not only Kai but their sweet resident witch Bonnie. Like the potential was there…bonkai truly could have saved that mess of a show smh
As I mentioned I don't have as much context surrounding the storyline outside of clips but the thing about Bonnie is, even without Kai involved she had enough basis to go dark well before season 6 even happened. With Kai being the catalyst I think there's merit to this idea that they provoke one another because they are the antithesis of one another and the mirror of one another at the same time. When I say that I mean that, Kai is what Bonnie would be if she gave in to her baser impulses.
If Bonnie never had Sheila at all. If she didn't know what it was to have true friendship, which we're led to believe she did before in pre-canon, because once the Salvatore arrive and she finds out about her witch heritage things go to shit pretty quickly. But honestly Bonnie had the recipe for becoming someone so disconnected, she was isolated, used, abused mentally, physically (yes I'm talking about Damon), and verbally by people she called friends and the people those friends surrounded themselves with. She'd seen the death of her Grams, her father, and her mother was turned at the flip of a coin. Yes, a part of the reason Kai was shunned by his family was because he was a siphoner, but honestly those around Bonnie could have just as easily feared her due to her power, especially if they actually leaned into what being the last of the Bennett line really meant. She could've had a target on her back for any number of reasons. Bonnie was honestly a small amount of provocation from becoming what Kai was.
When in the prison world, she was alone and faced with that isolation and forced to confront how alone she truly was, the loss, the abandonment, and just the knowledge that she had given up everything including her life for people who weren't worth the sacrifice and left with an adversary who knew all too well how she was feeling and how easy it would be to push her over the edge and break her down because he had been there already, the natural response was to push back, lash out, fight, and give in to that darkness just a bit in an effort to keep a deeper more seductive darkness at bay.
As for Kai I think as much as Bonnie fascinated him there was also resentment because she was everything he couldn't be. She felt love, she felt empathy, and she embodied self sacrifice. So there's a duality there of envying and being enthralled by those things and wanting to break her down until she loses those parts of herself and is on his level because of that resentment. Which is why they're so fascinating as both adversaries and lovers and why they were honestly the only real true equals that went head to head on canvas.
When two characters have that contrast and affinity at the same time there is like you said a world of potential there. There's validation but also fear. There's desire but also repulsion. So you never really know what you are going to get when they interact with one another. It's very rare and it was so wasted.
Even though I can't see the pairing ending in any way besides Kai's death at Bonnie's hands (which was another thing the show robbed Bonnie of), there would be so much development for Bonnie and potentially all of her relationships. Because of who Kai is, the MF Gang would've been forced to face who Bonnie could become if they kept treating her the way that they did. If we got them actually doing everything in their power to bring Bonnie back from the brink then those friendships wouldn't have been so one sided.
Honestly, if you think about how bad the writing was on TVD in general it’s just sad that they didn’t cash in on this. Bonkai basically fell into their lap because of KG's and CW's chemistry and because of who Kai was in contrast to Bonnie the story just accidently ended up being a goldmine that they never cashed in on which made no sense. Frankly, the show might've lasted longer if they had. It lasted too long as it is. It definitely would've at the very least gained more viewership and respect if they'd gone that route but Bonnie and her fans could never have nice things.

More Rogues Animal Headcanons!
Black Mask
He doesn't like animals after racoon bit him when he was child so he never saw a reason to get one
However, one of his business partners said he got wolfdog pup to give and he thought it would efficient to get it trained so he bought it
Turns out it's a boy, Roman however doesn't want to really name it, it's just extra security
Wants to teach him himself so it would only listen to him
It's harder since the pup is playful and it's really annoying; at least he manages to teach him some tricks
One time while being annoyed pup puts his head on his lap and while not sure how to feel he just pets him
It's nice
Slowly gets used to him and buys a toy so he can have something to do while Roman is working
He LOVES the toy and Roman cannot help but smile at it; starts covering him with toys and snacks
Of course only if he does his training good
Wants to get him a collar to take him on walks but he realizes he still haven't named him; goes with Sergio since it means guardian
He keeps getting bigger and looking more scary which Roman is happy about
Would praise him for doing good job
While petting him he realizes how much he likes him and is like... shit
Won't admit it but loves this dog
He would be professional while around people but when it just two of them he is giving him full body cuddles and calling him a good boy; ONLY one who is allowed to see it is S/O
Thinks about getting Sergio with some nice lady so he can have pups; doesn't matter you should castrate dogs, he would never do this to his boy
Joker
I read on other blog that Joker would has Pomerian with a gun and I agree; even made a drawing of it so I will develop the idea
His name is Jester, he just found him yapping after him whenever he went so he was like "Ok, I'll take you!"
He paints his fur green on his head and tail, might even use animal friendly lipstick on him
Built him his own gun where all he has to do is bite to shoot people, would be very proud of him for that
When Batnan took dog away he leaved him with many scars, Bruce doesn't get close to that dog after that
Gets really affectionate with him, more then with Harley
She hates that dog and got it shipped away; Joker got depressed after that and she tried to make it better
That until they hear familiar yapping and see him running towards them
"Jester!"
They run towards each other in slow motion.
"Good boy, you came back!"
"Oh yeah... yupie." Harley isn't very happy.
Two Face
I'm ripping off Littles Pet Shop because I'm giving him black and white chinchillas
He had a dog when he was younger and didn't expected to have anything else
That is when he accidentally stumbled onto these randoms
Was confused but they seemed friendly, might ran away from pet shop
The black one attached henchmen that wasn't delicate with her and it made Harv laugh
Flipped a coin and that how they joined the gang
White is Salt while Black is Pepper; listen, he isn't know for his originality
Harvey likes reading while Salt sits on his shoulder, she always like to cuddle
Meanwhile Pepper always want to bite people so Harv would send her after people who annoy him
They're different but are stressed when not around each other so he always makes sure they're together
It's hard to take him seriously when he has both of them on his shoulders but gun makes it better
They're his little furballs

I decided to rewrite part of the companion smut piece to cj pt2 and managed to finish it quick. I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it's good enough for me be comfortable with leaving it alone until I have to actually upload it at which point I'm probably gonna rewrite a bit more of it.
I think part of the reason I struggled so much with this is because I got an idea for a new fic and it's been all I could fucking think about.
The very first chapter notes of Channel Jackal featured me saying something about how the general outline for cj came to me pretty much in a daze and the exact same thing fucking happened again when I saw fanart for this ship that I didn't even ship at that time and thought up a little scene that I then built half a fanfic out of in the span of a couple hours. The other half was a bit more murky, but I've since fleshed it out. The fanart itself looks nothing like what I came up with.
I wanna write it so fucking bad, but I know myself and I know that if I don't finish cj pt2 first I'm never gonna fucking finish it. There's three chapters of cj pt2 left to do and I'm really excited for the one I'm about to start writing (spoilers: it's another Valentine's chapter wonder what's about to happen 👀) but also that other fic is fucking haunting my every thought.
So, I'll finish cj pt2, do the stupid fic in my head, then cj pt3.
I didn't even ship them. And I don't wanna tell you guys what ship it is because you'll judge me for it and I'll deserve the judgment, I agree, but I don't wanna deal with it so if I do end up finishing that other fic and deciding to upload it I might make a different ao3 account for it and never tell y'all what it is. I'll probably flip a coin to decide.
Why must I be this way. I'm so fucking tired.

I’m still suffering but I’m back✌🏽 Have you seen that meme that says “Cuando vea ____ no diré nada, pero habrán señales” (when I start watching ____ I won’t say anything, but there’ll be signs)?, that will be both of us with OP when we get that third piercing on our left ear LOL
And boy, yes, they have been in that dessert for way too long LMAO like I don’t wanna miss everything so I’m not skipping any parts, but I’m definitely watching at x1.25 speed bc I’ve just realized this arc lasts until 130 and I’m not even on the 20s😭
Iñaki’s and Taz friendship definitely cured some of the sadness in my soul, but same I would to get more sneak peeks behind the work. I have watched some videos about the make-up and wig work, the staging and props, I saw some performance proposals for Zoro’s introduction and I love how despite changing many things, they never gave up on including the middle finger LOL I just find very interesting the process of discerning which ideas make it into the final product, I’m a nerd what can I say😔✌🏽
SANJI AND CHOPPER CARRIED THE CREW IN THIS ARC they were very impressive😌✨ but okay mini rant that you might find funny since you’re clearly far ahead LOL 1) the heck no one d*es HAHAHA LIKE everyone. somehow. miraculously. comes back alive and I’m glad for the good guys, but damn people it feels like only Arlong and people from the backstories d*ed 2) again, glad no one from the crew d*es (for now?😭🤞🏽) but boy does it hurt to see them getting thrashed :c </3
I did enjoy Ace’s appearance respectfully<3 LOL but seeing Zoro smiling and laughing more frequently definitely does something to my brain<3 Also!! Saw you got your wisdom teeth removed: congratulations!!🥳✨ and since Spotify wrapped just happened, what’s your song #12?? Was going to ask based on the episode of OP I’m at but it’s already the 100s so the last two digits will do LOL
LMFAOOO if that ain't me. also wait do you speak spanish or this is like, the meme you know LSDKHGKL it's very important to me as a spanish speaker because i have one stupid ass op video i can't show anyone because it's in spanish and i've been going insane because it made me cackle (but also would have to ask what's your stance on shipping (not like hardcore i will fight others if they don't like what i like but like hehe their dynamic is fun))
honestly i respect you so much for not skipping anything because i just skimmed through over 10 episodes worth of someone's backstory (they've been dead for a long time so i'm like 🧍‍♀️ we didn't learn anything new with this but the lore is great i guess)
had no idea about that LMAO honestly it fits zoro so much that no matter what he was going to be flipping someone, actually that's something that i love about the live action like yeah let him and sanji curse we know these two idiots are the worst when it comes to cursing LMAO part of me is hoping that we'll get like a documentary kinda thing with the behind the scenes or maybe more behind content for the second season
NO BUT THAT'S SOMETHING I'VE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT AS WELL, like yay for the main crew not dying i won't have psychological damage because of it, but what do you MEAN not a single bad guy dies either some of them should've had their heads chop off give me a break
pre time skip zoro was so goofy and beloved truly a gift, god i can't wait for you to get to a certain part and lose your mind about him tho LMAO and i diiiiid! finally have all of them out, this last one is not bothering me as much so i'll take that as a win as well and i'm just happy to be done with the whole thing LMAO and my #12 song is tití me preguntó by bad bunny which honestly, a bit shocked by because i didn't think i listened to it that much. what's your 81 song i gotta know 👁👁

I followed you for superior (chef's kiss) and Hawks is one of my faves from mha <3. I don't like Dabi though, and I honestly don't understand what people see in him lmao
thank you i love you <333 OKAY SO maybe the levi to hawks/hawks to levi pipeline is real?? i thought it was so out of the blue no matter how many joking comparisons i could make and i was so sure getting into mha that i would be into dabi bc....black hair and emo. again, with guren, loid (honorary blonde), roy (honorary goof) and jumin i thought i had my own type figured out but......maybe hawks is somewhere on that black haired emo spectrum. yesterday i saw a bio on tiktok that said something like "levi's blanket, hawks' baby bird" so i think this really is a thing.
i keep flip flopping on dabi. i ship dabihawks more than endhawks and would rather read a fanfic ab them (if i'm not busy self inserting lol) but i prefer endhawks' canon relationship by faaaar (endeavor is also like my third favorite character so there is that). i kinda get the hype?? or not LMAO. he's attractive and he's got a sad backstory it's just the whole killing innocent ppl makes me roll my eyes, and if he was only intent on killing endeavor i'd be much more cool with him. what kinda confuses me is that he was a pretty big character even pre the manga reveal (what a month that was and i wasn't even in the fandom then).
i know the touya theory was out there and that he was obviously a hot guy but......but he was barely there. the anime had this weird thing going where they would change his face in every shot and in general i feel the most we get of him before his reveal was when shigaraki did That Thing to overhaul. i was so hungry for him to show up and then when he did it was just....meh for me. mind you i didn't start liking hawks until after i finished the manga and thought about it. it wasn't exactly love at first fight scene like it was with levi <33

Jellyfish - JJ Maybank
Request: Hey! I was wondering or you could do an outer banks imagine where like in season one the pogues leave kie, Sarah and reader on a boat, and the reader is the one getting stung by a jellyfish. The night goes on and she starts having an allergic reaction the jellyfish sting and her breathing starts to go bad and all dizzy. The girls have to call a mayday. And the sherif/ambulance boat? Comes and gets her or the pogues come back the next morning and she is not well at all. Then hospital. The pogues feel really badx Maybe reader x jj?
A/N: I just started a rewatch of s1 tonight so I can finally watch s2...also I googled allergic reactions to a jellyfish sting for this.
Outer Banks Masterlist
✰ ✰ ✰ ✰
Sarah stood beside you, practically holding you up, as you emptied the contents of your stomach into the marsh for the fifth time in so many minutes. The boys plan to strand Sarah and Kiara on the boat hadn’t been a very clever one and when you had protested JJ had jokingly pushed you over the edge of the HMS, claiming that now you too were stranded with them.
It wasn’t exactly how you’d planned to spend your night, especially with everyone on each other’s nerves as severely as they were, you’d been looking forward to taking advantage of that and spending the night back at your house with JJ. Instead, you were stranded on Heyward’s boat with Kiara and Sarah bitching at each other. Not to mention the angry red mark blossoming over your stomach from the jellyfish that had stung you as you’d tread water earlier.
“I thought you said you could fix this stupid piece of shit!” Sarah shouted to Kiara as she rubbed her hand along your back. The juxaposition of her kindness to you and her edgyness with Kiara wasn’t lost on you...even as you felt your head swimming.
“I gotta lay down,” you urged, hands gripping the edge of the boat as you rested your chin against the cool side, staring into the murky water. It was starting to get darker outside but you weren’t paying attention to that anymore. You felt like you were going to throw up again though this time it felt prompted by the dizzy feeling when you moved your head and not the pain shooting through your abdomen.
“Okay, let’s lay down...do you want a blanket or something?” Sarah asked, eyes darting around the boat to check for any spare blankets or sweatshirts.
You shook your head, immediately regretting the action as your vision blurred. “No...no, it’s so hot.” When you struggled to get JJ’s shirt over your head without moving too much, Sarah grabbed the hem of the shirt and eased it up.
“She doesn’t need your help!” Kiara yelled from the hatch, looking out at you with concern. You’d been fine earlier, before you’d boarded the boat with them, before the jellyfish stung you, but now you were doing worse and worse. She was trying to fix the boat but it was obvious that JJ and John B’s genius plan had included purposely sabotaging any chance they had of getting the boat back to shore.
“Obviously, she does!” Sarah shouted back, “she’s puking over the side of the fucking boat! What was in that shit you rolled anyway?”
Kiara looked incredulous at the suggestion that it was the weed they’d smoked that made you like this, “oh cause I poisoned my best friend with weed? Is that it?”
“Maybe!” Sarah shrugged, “how should I know.”
“Not helping,” you groaned, rolling to the side and pressing your hand against your stomach. “Kie...my stomach is killing me.”
“What can I do?” She asked, coming back over to you and Sarah.
“Call for the coast guard or something?” Sarah suggested, looking out over the marsh as if someone would just happen to be driving through. It was pitch black now, the night falling completely. It wasn’t too late yet, close to 9:30p Sarah supposed, but she wasn’t confident that this could last until morning. Who knew when the boys would come back?
“With what phone Sarah? The tower is down.”
“Swim to shore or something then!” She snapped.
“Sure, no problem...why didn’t I think of that? I’ll jump in the fucking marsh in the pitch black and swim toward what I think might be land!” Kiara shouted.
“Guys,” you snapped, pulling yourself up to the edge of the ship again. You felt like you were going to throw up again but there wasn’t anything left in your stomach, “shut the fuck up! You aren’t helping...I know they messed with the boat, is the radio working?”
“Let me check.” Kiara stood up from your side and headed back to the controls, checking the radio. “I’ve got a signal!”
You weren’t sure how long it took between Kiara signaling a mayday and the police boat actually coming out on the marsh because you passed out soon after she’d gotten the signal, slumped against Sarah, the pain in your side and abdomen too much for you to bear. Neither of the girls wanted to leave you overnight in the hospital, worried something would happen the second they left your side, so Kiara scribbled a note and left it taped to the window of the boat.
Gone to the hospital – was all it said. Not very descriptive but extremely alarming, the boys had arrived at the emergency room frantic.
“What the fuck kind of scare tactic was that Kie!” JJ had shouted down the hallway when he saw his friend outside one of the rooms. A nurse down the same hall shushed him as he passed her and he turned around to flip her off.
“Excuse me but you three deserve it after the shit you pulled! Leaving us stranded out there with no communication? You’re lucky the radio worked.” Sarah hissed, shoving JJ when he tried to get passed her into the room.
The second he’d seen her it had been clear the person who was missing, the one who was undoubtedly in the hospital bed in the room he was standing outside of. You’d gotten hurt, seriously if you were here, if they’d had to mayday a police boat.
“What happened?” Pope asked, quieter than his best friend had been able to muster.
“She’s allergic to jellyfish.” Sarah replied, turning a glare on JJ, “when this moron pushed her in the water she got stung and had a reaction.”
“Is she okay?”
“She’ll be alright...she’s dehydrated though, so she’s on fluids for the rest of the – JJ!” Kiara snapped when he pushed passed her to get into the room. He moved the curtain aside to see you there, still a little out of it from the exhaustion of the night before but you smiled when you saw him.
“Hey,” he dropped his voice down to a whisper, a contrast to the sharp scrap of the chair that he dragged to your bedside, “I’m so sorry.”
“Guess I’m allergic to something after all.” You managed to tease, recalling the conversation you’d had a few weeks earlier when JJ had begrudgingly given up the peanut butter and jelly sandwich he was trying to make at John B’s when you reminded him that he was highly allergic to peanuts.
He’d claimed that “maybe it went away”, a possibility you both knew to be impossible while you told him that you weren’t stabbing him with an epi-pen if he had an allergic reaction. “I would stab you, if you were allergic to anything,” JJ had replied, settling for jelly on toast instead.
“That doesn’t make me feel better.” JJ said now, eyeing the bag of fluids that was connected to you via IV. “I would’ve been fine thinking you didn’t have any allergies.”
“It’s not your fault JJ, it was an accident...I could’ve been stung a million times before this, we literally live on the coast.” You tried to laugh and coughed; throat still sore. JJ grabbed for the pitcher of water at your bedside and poured you a glass, leaning over to help you swallow.
“Yeah but you didn't get stung a million times before this...you got stung after I pushed you in!”
“We should let you get some rest,” Pope’s voice sounded over JJ’s shoulder and you both looked over to where he was standing at the curtain. He smiled at you, a silent ‘glad you’re okay’ and ‘sorry’ rolled into one.
You nodded, more than aware that you were on the verge of falling asleep again. Still, you reached for your boyfriend’s hand, settling for his wrist instead as he was still holding the plastic cup. “Will you stay?” you asked, eyes meeting JJ’s.
“Yeah, of course.” He promised, sitting back down, “I’m not going anywhere.” He didn’t mention the absolute panic that had racked through him when he saw Kiara’s note or realized you were the one that was injured and he definitely didn’t tell you how severely he blamed himself for you getting stung in the first place, instead he just sat there holding your hand and promising that he would stay there with you until you were discharged. “Everything’s okay, you’re okay.”

You weren't an Avenger. You couldn't harm a fly, you got sad when a leaf didn't crunch after being stepped on, you hated watching horror movies because you would then be forced to wonder whether someone's under the bed or in your closet. Needless to say, it was quite odd that you were dating one of the most dangerous women you could think of. That wasn't saying much though, considering the fact that you knew of very few deadly women.
Nevertheless, you loved your girlfriend, Yelena, and you knew she loved you back. You, however, knew nothing of how she presented herself to everyone else. Everyone was mostly surprised that Yelena would be in a relationship in the first place, not to mention how much you obviously loved her. They would see you visit the complex whenever she was there, sometimes with a plate of some delicious homemade baked goods or maybe pizzas from the best pizzeria in town, and it would make them wonder why you loved her so much when she seemed to not feel the same way. Little did they know the true nature of your relationship.
Yelena's sides only began to show as you visited her more often, all cuddly and lovey just for her. You would notice how some of the other Avengers gawked at you when she pulled you into a big bearhug or how confused they looked whenever they caught her peppering kisses all over your face. You only really learned how the Avengers viewed her when you were caught in a battle with some villain they were currently facing.
You didn't mean to get caught in the midst of such danger. It just happened so quickly that you couldn't get away in time. Yelena saw you from across the battlefield in the city block and had to keep herself from panicking. Seeing you there, in such a dangerous position, gave her such an adrenaline rush that made her forget about everything except for putting the villain down to get you out of there.
Somehow, the fight was over quicker than it had started, mainly because Yelena just moved and moved until it was over. You watched in amazement at how your girlfriend flipped and twirled around, missing every bullet and laser pointed her way. You honestly weren't sure what she did, but you knew it was over when the villain fell to the ground, their only weapon broken beyond the point of repair.
Once the villain was locked away in the back of a SHIELD truck and it drove off, you and Yelena ran to each other, so glad that the other was alive. "Are you alright?" She asked frantically, hoping beyond hope that you weren't hurt.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm okay. Are you?"
"As long as you're okay, I am too."
You stared into her deep brown eyes for a moment before pressing your lips against hers. This wasn't any regular kiss. It wasn't steamy, but it wasn't simple either. There was so much emotion in this kiss that fueled it and made it so meaningful. It made you happier than words could express to see that she was alright, hence the kiss.
As your lips parted, you leaned your forehead against hers, closing your eyes to savor the moment. You heard her whisper something, likely in Russian, but your ears were ringing too loud for you to hear. Plus, Russian was very much not your strong suit. She pulled away and took your hand in her own, leading you back to the quinjet so you could be away from all the rubble and destruction.
Once you were nearly on the ship, you looked back, hearing someone talking. You saw Steve and Natasha standing side-by-side, watching the strong, cold Yelena they knew soften for you.
"But Yelena worships them?" Steve asked Natasha, honestly confused as to how Yelena's demeanor could change so quickly for you.
"In ways beyond our imagination."

"How come you always end up under my blanket?" prompt with Ink?
Words- 592
Characters- 3138
I decided to try something a bit different for this one :)
It isn't a ship thing, I hope that's okay. This one was just the one that came to my mind and wouldn't shut up.
Sleeping.
Sleeping was something that humans did. That other monsters did. He's seen so many people sleep over the years.
Sometimes he watched, just because... that was interesting.
They felt safe enough in places to fall asleep, even though something could happen. Why? He didn't get it.
Then he got himself a bed! He can't really lay in it for way too long, as normally he had too much energy or was too excited about things. Whenever he ran out of his vials he would lay in it to rest until he drank another one or... something.
It didn't happen too often.
When he had a free day, he would lay in his bed and snuggle up to the pillows and blankets, finding it so nice. He guessed he understood why humans and other monsters enjoyed their beds.
They were soft, they were like a weird hug. He hadn't gotten many hugs before.
Something changed a few weeks ago though!
Something big.
And something that he never expected to happen.
It was when he was out with Dream and Blueberry, doing Star Sanses things. They were protecting this one AU, and Ink was exploring around. The AU was, sadly, too damaged to be saved so they were looking for anyone that was alive so they could help them.
Ink knew that Error would be back and erase this AU. They needed to get out before that happened.
He found one person.
A monster named Y/n. That's what they told him their name was, of course. Ink took them back home and went to get Blueberry and Dream. Why did he not want them to know about Y/n? He didn't quite know.
Maybe they could learn about it later.
For now, they wouldn't know anything about his new friend, and he didn't mind it.
Today he woke up, feeling a strange... feeling. Not an emotion, more just there was something here that shouldn't be.
Looking down, he flips the blanket and perks up when he saw a little sleeping monster. Oh! Y/n! He grins, and laughs sitting up which causes them to snap awake, blinking a few times looking sleepy "Inky?" they mumble, rubbing at their eye.
"Good morning, Y/n!" he scoops them up in his arms, holding them closer to him, nuzzling his skull against theirs. No matter how small he was, they were a bit smaller, and that made him pretty happy. "What are you doing here?" He would ask, a happy tone in his voice. Right now, one of his eyes were shaped like a heart, the other a random shape both in pinkish red colors. Two different shades, of course.
"Sleepy" they mumble, clenching onto his shirt.
"awww" he starts and pats the top of their head "Sorry for waking you up, but hey, how come you always end up under my blanket?" he decides to ask, as this was the tenth time they snuck into his room while he was asleep.
They look up at him, still looking so tired and mumble "You make me feel safe"
Oh wow. If he had a soul, it would most likely squeeze right there, that was so cute. "Then we can sleep longer!" he lays back, bouncing a little on the bed making them giggle and nod, laying their head back down.
Ink saved a little monster. A child he never knew that he wanted, and he was going to protect them the best that he could because they needed him, and maybe just maybe, he needed them too right now.

I think Shadow is very clever. When you look at the time he impersonated Vio to lead the Links through the Palace of Winds, he really came up with a genius plan. He figured that imitating a hero Link, rather than keeping his own appearance, would convince the others to follow him (because at that point, Shadow was still an enemy in their eyes, and even if they saw he was badly hurt, they wouldn't easily trust him).
Of course he chose to imitate Vio; Vio was literally a double agent for the heroes! Vio is the most likely of the hero Links to know about the Palace of Winds' layout (and very conveniently, Vio was late to rejoin the group). This is basically proven to be his thought process for imitating Vio when Green asks how he knows the Palace so well, to which "Vio" says he learned everything from Shadow - a very believable statement, especially during a tense situation when people aren't thinking as much as they should. The way Shadow handles this stressful situation while badly hurt is amazing.
Not only that, but when he talks with Green, he seems to understand very well how Vio acts. He tells Green not to worry about his exhaustion (a very Vio thing to do), and even though he can hardly move, he keeps calm and leads the team like Vio would (until Green challenges his knowledge too many times and causes him to break character for a moment). Again, Shadow is on his last limb, and yet he keeps the act up until the very end when the real Vio finds the group. And then he leaves without asking for thanks or praise! It really shows his growth, even if what he did was ultimately out of a selfish desire to get back at Vaati.
On a slightly related note, can you imagine how tense it was for Vio to be alone, running around in search of the others while Vaati was on the attack? He actually might have some knowledge of the Palace's layout, since he was able to get to the top all by himself (after the other Links had flipped the necessary switches). That might've given him some comfort in the moment, but if he didn't have any of that knowledge… Oh boy. Just think about him running around and calling out for the others, only to get no response, forcing him to run along to some other unknown area and praying that he'll find them safe and sound. That's probably why he looks so happy when he finds them and why he says immediately that he's thankful they're all safe!
(Do not tag as Lin//ked Uni//verse or any ship.)

Mickey truly enjoyed being a fisherman. He liked the solitude that came with the job -- no one on his ass trying to tell him what to do or that what he's doing was wrong when it definitely wasn't. He was always a resourceful little bastard, and his confidence at sea was not unwarranted. He knew how to do shit, and how to do shit right -- crewmates be damned. Nothing but him and the water, just the way he liked it.
He often sold his fish at the market in the small coastal town where he and his sister, Mandy, reside. Her charisma luring customers to their stand, promising the best of the best -- and it wasn't even a lie anymore. Lately, Mickey's produce was the freshest and somehow the most beautiful, catching somewhat exotic fish with vibrant colors that none of the other fishermen were able to attract. Mandy had once trapped him in the corner, demanding answers to questions like how on earth he alone could come up with all this? She thought he was secretly a pirate, raiding other ships, stealing their best, and dumping the rest -- you can't fucking afford to go to jail again, dumbass! Time after time, he reassured her that it was just dumb fucking luck until she caved and let him go, not withholding a dubious glare. Despite what he told her, and even told himself, he was a bit suspicious. He was not a lucky man.
With an ungraceful leap, he had heaved himself out of his boat, the water well deeper than his knees, but his overalls keeping him as dry as he could be. His beef jerky strip hanged out of his mouth as he marveled towards the tree line in front of him. If he didn't feel so damn calm, he might have been a bit frightened at his new surrounding -- but it felt right. He also felt like he was being watched. His eyes scanned past the trees and over to the rocky ledge where water was splashing high and mighty, creating a silvery mist. He saw a patch of orange-ish red shimmering against the water. It was surely too shallow for any fish or octopus that size to be this close to shore. He turned around to make sure he boat was firmly anchored this time before he ventured over to the rocks. But as soon as he turned around again, the orange thing had disappeared. Huh.

It was surely too shallow for any fish or octopus that size to be this close to shore. He turned around to make sure he boat was firmly anchored this time before he ventured over to the rocks. But as soon as he turned around again, the orange thing had disappeared. Huh.
Mickey sat himself in the sand, reveling in the feeling of being on land again. As often as he flipped between land and sea, the difference never failed to startle him. He dragged his hands through the sand, feeling like some fancy exfoliator Mandy was always trying to get him to use. He was adamantly watching the colorful rocks bead through his fingertips. A larger stone caught in his palm. He held it up to the sun where it was peeking out from behind the clouds. At first glance, it looked like any other stone -- kind of a boring sea foam color, but in the sun, it sparkled like green embers. He rested the stone atop his knee and turned his attention to a bird squawking from the rocks. Noisy fucker. He furrowed his eyebrows wondering what could have happened for the bird to cause such a fuss. Stuck in his tangle of thoughts and oblivious to the world, a wave swept over him -- even above his overalls.
Mickey leapt up in surprise, "Motherfuck-!" In all his joust movements, he managed his lose the stone... and his dignity. He didn't have a spare change of clothes on his boat because it was supposed to be a short trip. He didn't plan on falling asleep and ending up on an island god-knows-where. So there he sat, pouting, in just his boxers and hat while he let the remainder of his clothes air dry with what little sun there was. He could've sworn he heard someone laughing at him -- giggling, even. He glared towards the squawking bird before determining it was his own paranoia. Mandy had him do all that therapy shit awhile back, so he knows how he can get sometimes and how it's a 'trauma response' or some bullshit that actually made a hell of a lot of sense now that he thought about it.
He pulled out an orange from the front pocket of his overalls, still half damp in the sand. He nibbled on it, tossing his peels as far into the tide as he could, watching it float... float... disappear. Whatever creature was down there must really fuckin' like oranges. It was quick, but exciting none-the-less. Mickey no longer felt sluggish like his impromptu nap that landed him on this island might have suggested. He felt alive.
The sun placement told him that it was time to head back if he had any chance of making it back to the coast before sundown. Fuck! His fish! He picked up his clothes and half-jogged half-stumbled back to his boat, expecting the fish he had caught earlier in the day to have gotten tainted by now. He shoved his legs into his mostly-dry overalls and waded out to his boat. To his surprise, the fish looked good -- almost better than when he caught them.
Now Mickey may not be the most observant, but even he knew something was a little suspicious (something a little fishy is going on here🤔). If he didn't know then, he definitely knew when he turned to see the green ember stone -- his stone -- resting on top of his ice box. The fuck? He picked up the stone, smoothing over it's edges with his thumb, leaving a sparkling trail where his fingers had just touched. So it wasn't just from the sunlight, interesting. He secured the rock inside the zipper pocket on his overalls, then double checking to make sure it was still there. Whatever force on his side might be into second chances, but he didn't want to test his new luck with third chances.
He really had to get going now. He gave the island a once over as he pulled out his map, subtly marking his new uncharted oasis. This was something else.
--
Since his initial discovery, Mickey had come back to the island several times, and all the more prepared. He kept spare clothes on him at all times now, in case the tide one again decided to have a personal vendetta against him and his overalls -- which of course it had. He also brought more beef jerky, tools, and a tent. He was determined to see more than just the coast the next time he returned.
He had told Mandy that he was going to stop at another port for the night so as not to wait up for him that evening, which wasn't unheard of. With the amount of overnight stays on his isolated island as of lately, however, Mandy thought he had a secret lover a few ports over, teasing and making kissy faces at him whenever she could. "Who is she, Mick? Oh, c'mon, I tell you about my hookups!" "Yeah, and I wish you fuckin' didn't." "Whatever, anyways, she's gotta have a name. Wait! Oh my god! He? Is it a guy? Mickey!" "Mandy, no." She could be annoying as hell when she wanted to, but she mostly knew when to stop.
As much as Mickey denied a secret lover, there was definitely a secret something, but he couldn't place his finger on exactly what it was. He knew there was like the red-ish, orange-ish glow that flickered beneath the surface of the water. And he knew there was feelings. Which sounded weird as hell -- even to himself. He should have just played along with Mandy's hookup in another port theory. Hell, he should find a hookup in another port. That would be a lot simpler than whatever this was. But he just couldn't get himself to stay away from this mystical island. His fish business was doing better than ever, so he had no real excuse to stay away.
He had managed to map out the geography and topography of the island after a few visits -- Mickey knew his shit. No one lived on this island. It looked like no one has ever lived on this island. It was a small, and it was beautiful, but he still couldn't find the source of whatever force drew him here -- at least when he was actively searching for it. He continued throwing his orange peels in the ocean to be devoured by his... friend? He tried to throw his apple cores in, but his creature was apparently not a fan. He didn't blame them, to be honest.
He began to talk to himself and even sing to himself more and more on the island. He thought he may have heard the laughter again, and even some off-key humming or whistles along to his tunes. Mickey didn't even care if it was the paranoia or if he was having some odd hallucination at this point. He just felt entirely too good.
--
Which is why he didn't see it coming. If he hadn't been so distracted by this siren-like callings, he would have noticed the storm coming. He was Mickey fucking Milkovich, damnit. He knew his shit! Which is why he knew that he could secure the boat as best as humanly possible, and it still wouldn't survive the storm surge unscathed. He hoped that whatever force looking out for him would look out for his boat. He said a quick prayer -- and he wasn't religious by any means -- as he double checked to make sure he had his 'lucky' stone, his backpack, and his map, then hiked inland where he knew there was a cave for shelter.
He had escaped the start of the downpour, but only barely. The dark clouds loomed overhead, chasing out any hopes of a light, easy rain. Mickey huddled against the inner wall of the cave, nibbling at one of his jerky strips, and cursing the lack of cell phone signal on this fucking island that doesn't even fucking exist according to any map he's ever fucking seen. To say he was having a bad day was an understatement. He couldn't do much but wait, and he quickly fell asleep to the pitter patter of the water dripping outside the cave.
He awoke to a sharp burning on his chest. The fuck?! His so-called 'lucky' stone was hot. And glowing. And so was most of the other rocks in the cave. Now this was definitely something. The stones obviously did not want him to stay still as they grew hotter and glowed brighter, but this time alternating and lighting up a path down a miniscule stream he hadn't noticed before. The storm had long stopped, and he hoped these bewitched stones would at least lead him to the shore so he can check on whatever remains of his boat.
Mickey followed the path to the shore, luckily, but more towards the rocks that he noticed on his first visit. He hardly saw the rocks now as he was drawn to a heap of familiar orange-ish red-ish laid up on shore. He fully expected it to disappear again so he refused to even blink, inching closer. It was alive -- for sure -- that was good, but it was battered from the storm. It looked scaley... but also had hair? It grunted and rolled over. Yup. That was a man. But also a fish.
Mickey thought his hallucination were playing entirely too many games on him now but he physically could not bring himself to turn away, as much as he swore he wanted to. He wanted out. He was insane. That was the only explanation, because obviously mermaids weren't real. He was sleeping, he had to be. He would wake up in his bed next door to Mandy's and all of this would go away. Hell, maybe the whole island was in his dreams. Maybe he was trapped in a very realistic coma. He looked around for something to wake him the fuck up when he heard the creature groan again.
Fuuuuuck, now Mickey was involved. The tide had pulled back far enough that left the creature stranded on the land. The stone grew hotter yet against his chest. "Alright, alright, I fuckin' got it, thank you," he grumbled. The creature turned it's startled head towards his. They locked eyes -- green embers. Of course.
"It's you, isn't it? All this time?" Mickey asked as the creature weakly tried to hide his face. Mickey didn't know why. It was a beautiful face, somehow covered in freckles that sparkled.
"Nah, man, it's cool, right? We've been having fun, eating oranges and shit?"
The creature unburied its head and quietly whistled one of Mickey's favorite songs, earning a chuckle out of Mickey as he awkwardly lifted the half-man half-fish in some semblance of a firefighter carry. Mickey expected the creature to be slick and cold, but he was soft and warm. Odd, but not unpleasant. They were almost to the water now.
"Yeah, Rain on Me by Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga. Fuckin' banger. Don't tell my fuckin' sister about this. She'd never let me live this down."
The red-headed creature tilted its head in confusion.
"Lady Gaga? Ya know, Mother Monster?"
He seemed to startle at the word 'monster' as he wiggled, escaping Mickey's grip into the water, disappearing into the dark sea. Frowning, in a last attempt at communication.
Mickey wasn't having it. Nah. The creature had been luring him for weeks. Hanging out with him for weeks. Even called out to him with some fuckin' moon stone type things. And now it wanted to disappear? He didn't fucking get it. He kept talking to himself as he paced along the shore.
"You're not getting cold fins now, are you?" Mickey teased, "Wait, fuck, is that offensive? Fuck, I'm sorry, please just come back."
He was acting fucking pathetic. He buried his face in his hands. Fuck. His brain was fucked. His life was fucked. His boat was fucked. His boat.
Mickey nearly tripped as he stumbled back to his boat. Or more like where he docked his boat. All that remained was his anchor. The rest had been mangled and scattered along the shore. He could probably get it fixed eventually since he had the little foresight to keep his tools safe in his backpack. But until then, he was stuck on an island, that apparently didn't exist, with a companion, who apparently didn't want to be perceived, and a dwindling supply of beef jerky. Great.
--
It had been a depressing night. Without Mandy's overenthusiastic presence or his new friend's feel-good aura, Mickey was especially pessimistic. He hardly got any sleep, his brain racking all the ways he could possibly fix his boat. Mickey Milkovich knew his shit, but he was beginning to feel a little doomed. He took out his 'unlucky' stone from it's secure pocket, fidgeting with it like he does when he's nervous. The thing was cold (one could say it was stone cold😎).
Feeling hopeless, he stormed back to the shore, tossing his last orange into the water, intent on yelling at the water until he died a peaceful death.
"C'mon, man," his voice came out sounding more like pleading than yelling, but what can you do? "I don't give a fuck if you're a man or a fish. I need you to help me fix my fucking boat! You got me into this mess, you get me out of it!"
He collapsed in the moonlight. He was absolutely not on the verge of crying. He was focusing on his breathing so intently that he barely heard his voice.
Holy fuck, though. He finally got why the legends always referred to mermaids as sirens. He would follow this voice anywhere. It was as disturbing as it was comforting.
Mickey was knocked out of his trance as his previously-tossed orange rolled to a stop at his feet.
"I said, I'm sorry." The siren's red hair poked out of the ocean several feet in front of him. Mickey continued to stare. How the fuck did this motherfucker's freckles glow brighter than the stars in the sky above them?
"I never meant to cause you harm. Swear. I even brought you the best fish I could find. My family lectured me about cannibalism or some shit, but I just wanted any excuse to see you again."
Mickey stared in awe. The creature's voice ringing through his ears prettier than any choir he had ever heard. He had got to get himself together. He was supposed to be mad. Right!
"What about my fuckin' boat? You realize I actually have to leave this place eventually, right, Red?" Maybe Mickey was being a bit harsh considering he was basically in the middle of some magical doomsday. But he was still ridiculously frustrated at his current situation.
"Hmm," the creature considered, "my name is Ian." Ian. Ian. Ian. The name chimed through his head. "And I was thinking about your boat. I tried to save it before it was too late, but I ended up too close to the shore, and the tide was ridiculous, and hence I got stranded and we got off to the wrong... fin." Ian gave Mickey a dumbass smirk, clearly proud of himself.
Okay, it did ease the tension, Mickey would give him that. Mickey was silent for a bit too long again.
"And what is your name?" Ian mused, "I've got to stop calling you That-One-Hot-Fisherman in my head."
Mickey nearly choked, and tried to cover it up by rubbing his hand against his lips, "Mikhailo." He had no idea why he was compelled to share his real name. He hadn't used that name in years -- only liking it from the sound of his mother's mouth. He corrected himself, "Well, it's Mickey. That's what I go by."
"Okay, well, Mickey Mikhailo, shall we get started on rebuilding your boat now or do you want to wait until morning?" Ian looked both devious and sincere. It was maddeningly confusing.
If Mickey swooned at the way a fucking fish said his name, that was nobody's business. But he couldn't deny he was exhausted. His stone was warm against his chest, comfortingly so, not hot like before. He managed to mumbled out a "in the morning" before falling into the peaceful sleep he had been so desperately craving.
--
Mickey awoke to sunshine in his face and a bird pecking at his thigh -- the pocket where his final jerky stick remained.
"Fuck off you fucking fuck!" He shooed haphazardly while rubbing fucking literal sand out of his eyes. God, what a nightmare.
"I see someone's not a morning person," teased an orange blob from the water. Mickey rubbed his eyes again. Right. Ian.
"Fuck off, fish genius over there."
"That's not any way to treat your only chance of getting off the island anytime soon," Ian pouted.
Fish genius had a point.
"Sorry," Mickey grumbled. He was never one for apologies, but man did he need to stay on this creature's good side. But, he was all good sides as far as Mickey was concerned. In the daylight, he could see how Ian's orange hair curled into little rings when it air dried. It looked real fuckin' soft. He couldn't remember if he had the chance to touch it yesterday on their fucking rescue mission. He needed to distract himself before he said something he regretted. He was not about to be flirting with a fish. He wasn't!
"Ya got any more oranges you can toss my way? Fuckin' starving."
Ian pointed at the one sandy orange a few feet from where Mickey had slept, "Just yours that you tried to hit me with, thank you very much."
"You like the peels, though." Mickey said as he tossed a piece into the ocean, floating several yards away from where Ian's head bobbed out of the water.
That took Ian aback, "Damn, I thought I was slicker than that."
"Not that slick, man."
"Hmm." Ian briefly considered before speeding over to the peel and devouring it quickly, "I can get you some sea food -- as your people say."
"Ain't that basically illegal for you, Red? Ain't you technically sea food?" Mickey musing, tossing another piece of his orange peel into the water.
Ian rolled his eyes. "I-an." He sounded it out slowly. "But I mean, circle of life and all that." He chased the orange peel, twisting it in his fingertips, awaiting Mickey's response.
"Nah, it's cool, don't worry about it, I-an. I don't really want any part in your whole fucked up moral dilemma situation. Got enough of those myself."
Mickey avoided Ian's attempt at eye contact, and Ian didn't push the conversation any further. He seemed tentative again. Mickey didn't want to lose him again.
"So... boat stuff?" Mickey huffed as he stood up, turning to his mangled beauty.
"Yeah," Ian did that dumbass smirk again that had Mickey fucking blushing, "Boat stuff."
--
Ian explained that he had spent most of the night gathering the parts that he could find in the water, and even some special mud and sea weed looking things that he promised would hold it together if Mickey's tools couldn't. Mickey took offense to the lack of faith Ian had in his skills, but he eventually agreed that it was at least somewhat warranted given their current predicament.
Mickey spent the morning gathering boat parts from land, and by midday, he felt hopeful. It was a 'finding treasure in the trash' kind of moment, but it was enough for now.
Ian and Mickey had fell into idle conversations as Mickey worked to restore his boat and Ian gazed onward, bobbing in the waves.
"So, you have a sister named Mandy?" Ian asked after a slice of silent had washed over them.
"What, are you a psychic, too?" Mickey laughed nervously under his breath.
Ian rolled his eyes like that was the stupidest thing he's ever heard. "No, smartass, I'm a good listener." He paused. "You talk about her a lot."
"Wasn't sure if you were real or if I was crazy." Was all Mickey managed to respond. Ian was really more of the conversation carrier and neither of them seemed to mind.
"Do you have any other family or friends?" Ian wondered, this time genuinely curious.
"Considering I'm talking to you right now, what do you think?"
Ian silently stared at Mickey until his watch became uncomfortable and Mickey felt the urge to continue.
"Mandy's the only one that sticks around. She actually cares about me -- fixes me dinner, drags me out to meet her friends, even makes sure I get enough sleep -- she's fuckin' crazy."
"It sounds like she loves you."
"Yeah. Dunno why."
"You're a good person, Mickey."
Mickey flashed Ian his knuckles reading 'FUCK U-UP' in faded black ink. "Yeah, I'm a real stand-up guy."
"No, I mean it." And Ian just looked so genuine that all Mickey could do was believe it for once in his goddamn life. All it took was for a fish to tell him. Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
"What's your social circle look like? Couple of dolphins, maybe a crab?"
"Maybe," Ian confessed. Shit, maybe this was some real life Little Mermaid. "But I also have five siblings."
"Y'all all got bright-ass fins? Or is that just you?" Mickey still couldn't believe this was his reality right now, but shit, might as well hear about all of Ariel's siblings.
"My little sister, Debbie, she's orange like me. My mom had a theory that our colors are reflective of like our auras or something. She was always hanging around this old-as-balls sea turtle spouting off whatever nonsense he remembered. Some of it makes sense, though. My oldest sister, Fiona, is purple. Then there's my brothers -- Lip is blue, Carl is green, and Liam is yellow."
"Mandy has black hair like me. But she has a nose piercing, and I ain't getting one of those anytime soon."
Ian smiled that Mickey was even trying to draw some sort of semblance between their drastically different worlds. But it felt so natural, Mickey couldn't help it.
Mickey felt his lucky stone grow warm, again. Ian wasn't in any trouble, though. He was literally right fuckin' here. And he was happy. Mickey was happy, too.
--
By nightfall, they had called it quits. Mickey had ended up using some of Ian's 'special' tools, earning a fair amount of teasing from Ian himself. Whatever. The red-head had been protecting him so far. He trusted him -- even if that thought was terrifying. The mud would dry in the moonlight, and Ian assured Mickey that he would be set by morning.
Mickey was fucking hungry after a long day's work. It was high tide and Ian had something different in mind.
"Now that we're talking," Ian started. "I've been wanting to show you this."
Mickey waited for further instructions.
"Follow the stones, I'll meet you there, promise."
Mickey trusted the fucker despite his innate inability to trust anyone else, so he followed the stones into the thick of the forest. He knew the island. He had mapped the thing. He didn't know what Ian could possibly want to show him that he hadn't already seen.
The path stopped glowing near the bottom of a cliff. He knew about the cliff. But what he didn't know was that the cliff was a waterfall.
"Woah."
"Pretty cool, huh? Only happens with lots of rain."
Ian had prepared them a fish dinner set on another rocky edge, like the one on the other side of the island.
"Ian. You're a fish. This ain't right."
"First of all, I'm a mammal. Second, it's fine. They tell me when they're ready to die so I have a clear conscious as far as I'm concerned."
"Dude. I knew this was fucked up, but that is fucked up."
"Dude," Ian mocked him, "We're in the middle of the fucking ocean. Do you have any better ideas, or are you just gonna be all pissy? Least you can do is eat with me."
Mickey's jerky supply was officially gone. Fish genius had another point.
Mickey wouldn't admit it to anyone, but Ian's dinner was even better than Mandy's were.
--
Morning came and Mickey found himself not wanting to leave. Of course, he knew he had to, so he would.
"So, Red, I guess this is goodbye?"
"Only for now. You'll be back." Ian winked. Mickey knew he would.
"This is stupid, but like, you can't go back with me? Like, we make a pretty good team."
Mickey was visibly uncomfortable at his moment of vulnerability, and Ian took pity on him with a gentle smile. "Unless I want to get hunted, I'm better off here. It's safer."
"Right, right." That made sense. Mickey didn't even want to think about the possibility of Ian getting hurt. There had been rumors about mermaids in the area, but he had always assumed them to be tall tales. He knew enough of the fishermen were heavy drinkers and supposed that played a factor in their truth-telling.
"My mother is on land now, but she wouldn't choose to help me. Learned that the hard way."
Mickey frowned. He knew what it was like to have a parent that would trade you for literally anything else. But he was more curious about another part of Ian's story.
"What do you mean your mom is on land? Like she was captured or something?"
"No, nothing like that. More like she's got two legs that she uses to chase whatever thrilling experience she can. Another one of her wacky theories was that her 'true love's kiss' gave her the ability to shapeshift between her land and water forms whenever she wanted."
"Huh."
"All my siblings think she's crazy. The idea was tempting enough for awhile, though. Fiona had gotten real close to this sailor named Steve. He promised her the world and she believed him. But their bond wasn't enough to shift. Fiona was sure he was her soulmate. He still comes around sometimes. And then there's Debbie, who almost got killed trying to woo some girl at the port. I think my mother is just a hopeless romantic. But hope can be dangerous sometimes."
Mickey listened on to this story that sounded more like a children's bedtime story -- all this princess nonsense about a true love's kiss made him think that maybe this red-head was Ariel. He suppressed a laugh when he saw the worried look in Ian's eyes.
"Well whatever it is, she sounds pretty lucky."
Ian smiled softly, sadly. "Yeah."
"Hey," Mickey said gently. "I'll see you around, okay?"
"Okay."
And with that, Mickey sailed his patchwork boat back to whatever wrath Mandy was about to unleash on him.
--
The door creaked as Mickey made his way into the apartment he shares with his sister. He was nearly tackled on sight.
"Mickey, what the fuck!" Mandy punched his shoulder before crushing him into another hug. "I was so worried about you, you little shit!" "Ow! Jesus, I'm alive. Would you calm your tits?!"
Mandy gave him one more punch for good measure, "Where the fuck have you been? Three days, Mikhailo Aleksandr, three days! Tell me you didn't get that bitch up at the other port pregnant. I'm not taking in anymore rug rats."
"Bad storm. Boat wreck. And ya know what," Mickey threw his hands into the air, "I wish I would have got someone pregnant. Instead, I was stranded at sea, so maybe be a little bit nicer to me?"
"Fuck." She slumped a bit, "How did you manage to get back? Did you call one of your pirate buddies?"
"Jesus Christ, Mandy. I'm not a pirate -- even though they are dope as fuck, by the way. I just so happen to have a few brain cells -- something you don't know anything about."
Mandy rolled her eyes, "Competent enough to sail straight into a storm, huh?
Mickey flipped her off, "Good to be home, sis."
Mandy smiled, "C'mon, I'll make you some real food. I'm sick just thinking about you surviving off fuckin' jerky for half a week."
-- Mickey picked up a couple shifts at Mandy's bar the next week and a half to make up for three days of lost produce and another week for the time it took to properly fix his boat. He trusted Ian's magic mud well enough, but he didn't want to push his luck.
He wore short sleeve button-ups when he was bartending. He didn't have the comfortable luxury of built in inner pockets like with his fishing overalls, so he sewed his own. He couldn't stand the idea of not having his lucky stone close to his heart.
One night while he was slinging drinks, he mind at sea, he felt the stone grow hot and hotter. Fuck! It nearly burned his skin. He took it out from its pocket tossing it back and forth between his hands. It was glowing again. He felt nauseous. This had to mean Ian was in danger, right? Like last time in the cave? He wasn't on the island. He didn't have some magic pathway leading him exactly where he needed to go. What if he didn't get there in time?
He must have looked as insane as he felt because he felt a cautious hand on his shoulder. "Mick, take a fifteen."
"Got it." Mickey headed out back. Mandy would assume he was just having a smoke. But he ran. He hoped to hell that he was on the right track. The stone glowed brighter so he took that as a good sign.
He was out of breath as he rounded the corner and ended up at the docks. The stone's glow died down and it grew cold. Something was very wrong. What the fuck?
"Ian!" He probably looked like a psychopath screaming at the sea. Maybe he wasn't far from it.
This was the dock his boat was usually parked at. He was on his way to his old spot. Maybe--
A flash of red caught his eye in the dark water. No fish that red was ever this close to shore. His stomach crumbled. Oh my God, Ian.
Mickey dropped to ground, trying to get a better look at what was wrong. Wrapped in fishing nets was Ian, his skin a sickly shade of blue that wasn't from the moonlight.
Mickey made quick work of the fishing net with his pocket knife, careful not to cut Ian's slightly cold body. Was he too late? He couldn't be too late. He was here now. Everything would be fine.
Tapping into the adrenaline coursing through his veins, Mickey heaved Ian's large body onto the dock planks. His eyes were closed, but he was breathing at least.
"Ian. Ian, look at me. You're safe now, okay?" Mickey turned around, making sure he was alone. Luckily, no one was out at the water this time of night. Mickey pulled Ian's head into his lap and brushed his fingers through Ian's hair. Fuckin' finally. It was soft. So soft. "Hey, Red, wanna hook me up with whatever conditioner you got under the sea?" He laughed at himself to keep from crying.
Ian murmured something, lips barely parting.
Mickey stopped his caresses, "What was that, Mumbles?"
"Said you're a dumbass." Ian repeated. It was quiet, but his sass rang through. He was alive alright.
"I know." Mickey smiled for real this time. He placed a gentle kiss on Ian's forehead near his hairline. Ian's eyes fluttered open as they held each others' gaze.
They were distracted when Mickey's stone glowed bright again. Probably brighter than it has ever been before. The color shifted from it's usual green ember to resemble more of an icy blue. The boys watched as it began to shake on the ground -- where Mickey had dropped it when he spotted Ian's body. The stone continued to vibrate violently until it burst. Green and blue specks of light joining the stars in the sky above them. Mickey was so entranced by the light that he didn't notice when something else began to shift.
Ian's shimmering red-orange tail was replaced by two, long, freckled legs. Ian's eyes grew wide as he hit Mickey's arm.
"The fuck you hitting me for -- holy shit."
"Maybe my mom wasn't crazy."
"Maybe not." Mickey traced Ian's new legs with his fingertips. "How do you feel? Pretty big change, champ."
"It feels right... which is weird." Ian concluded after a moment, wiggling his toes.
"You're weird, so it makes sense." Mickey nodded, like it was obvious.
Ian rolled his eyes, "Shut up."
Mickey cocked his head as his lips upturned into a smirk, "Make me."
Mickey had expected Ian to still be chilled from the water, but he wasn't. He was warm and soft. So there they stayed, tightly wrapped in each others' arms under the dancing green-blue stars and the sound of gentle waves knocking into boats.
--
It was safe to say that Mickey had entirely forgot about returning to his shift at the bar that night. They had decided to sneak Ian into Mickey's room before the fishermen got their early start on the day ay the docks. It was still dark when they slowly opened his apartment's front door, knocking into each other and trying not to laugh at their bizarre situation.
Mandy flicked on the larger kitchen light, ready to give her brother an ear-full for leaving her alone to serve the bar creeps all night when she noticed he wasn't alone. He was accompanied by a tall, gorgeous, red-headed man, who appeared to only have eyes for her brother, not even noticing her presence.
"I thought you said you didn't have any bitches?" Mandy said, hoping to burst them out of their little bubble.
Mickey mumbled a quiet fuck under his breath. And surprisingly, Ian was the first to speak up, "Uh, you must be Mandy? I'm Ian. I'm uh- just visiting town."
"Mhm, whatever you say. Mick, next time, at least tell me when you're ditching work for a booty call, yeah?" She said after an appreciative glance Ian's way, bumping Mickey's hip as she walked past them to her room down the hall.
"Oh, work. Yeah, my bad." Mickey had genuinely forgot. Something about soulmates kind of clouding his judgement.
"Pasta's on the stove -- goodnight, dumbass and company!" She called before slamming her door closed.
Ian erupted into a fistful of giggles, "So much for sneaking in, huh?"
"Whatever, do you want some pasta, or are you sticking straight to cannibalism and orange peels?" Mickey teased.
"I'll have whatever you're having, stud." Ian squeezed the back of Mickey's neck.
--
After their late night/ early morning pasta, they had curled up in Mickey's bed, facing each other in silence, their eyes saying all the words that they didn't need to say out loud. Until-
"Fuck!" Ian's abrupt comment startled Mickey, even causing a hitch in Mandy's snoring in the next room over. Softer, he continued, "Your lucky stone, Mick. It's gone." He looked sad. He wanted to fix it.
Mickey brought his hand up to Ian's cheek, brushing it softly. "I don't need it, man. I have you."
Ian covered Mickey's hand with his own, then brought their hands to his lips, kissing each of Mickey's tattooed knuckles gently, like they held the secrets of the universe. Mickey smiled.
"I am the luckiest man in the world." And he was.

Also dala means "woman" in mando'a incase whoever reads this didn't know and found themselves in confusion like I do most times....
I know I also said I'd write for din more but, c'mon! My bestest friend ever here inspired me to write this!
Thank you my amazingly beautiful friend @friendscall-me-mom this was spurred on because you 👀

Tumblr media
Boba was a busy man, he couldn't seem to hold still for more then two minutes. He always had something keeping him busy or somewhere to be, but that's the way he liked it. So ever since boba claimed the throne that once belonged to jabba the hut and later jabba's companion Bib Fortuna, boba found himself almost never leaving the palace, it was relaxing yes, a nice relaxing thing actually, but also a little too... Uneventful for his liking. So after leaving Fennec in charge over the palace, someone he knew he could trust, he brought you along with him to venture away from tatooine to accompany him on his first bounty hunt in almost six years.
When he had gruffly asked you to join him, it left you baffled. You thought he'd enjoy a nice time away from you considering he always spoke of how annoying you are, he always ignores you are tries putting a distance between the two of you. In your eye's he hated you, his actions displaying such. But in all honesty? Boba fett found himself attracted to you, his brown eyes always glued to you when you walked into the room, gaze unable to leave your figure for a second. His heart always doing the annoying flip it does whenever he hears your laugh or catches a glimpse of that beautiful smile adorning your face.
He pushed you away because he didn't know how to love you like you deserved, you was always so... Happy, bubbly personality and jokes putting a smile on everyone's face. He was afraid that if he let you love him, his usual grumpy and hardened personality would dent your chirpy one. So... He pushed you away.
But you didn't ever see the adoring looks he gave you, or the faint tug of his lips when you told a joke. All of those things went unnoticed by you, partly because the helmet he wore and the fact he always hid his emotions well. Something you found infuriating. But despite that, and his constant grumpy behavior towards you, you found yourself intrigued by the man, you couldn’t deny he was a handsome man. Dark eye's that seemed to sparkle whenever the light hit them just right. And although his words was always short, sometimes even harsh on the more stressful days for him, you found yourself hanging on to every word he spoke, his voice intoxicating, beautiful. You scolded yourself many times for falling in love with boba fett, but then again how could you not have? When he showed you rare moments of kindness - especially when you had both met on tython, you having permission from your friend din to stay with boba. Because din saw how you looked at boba, he knew you was in love with him.
But damn was boba oblivious, or either he knew you was smitten with him and just hid it well. Whatever the case, you was slightly hurt by the fact he always found a way to either distance himself from you are push you away.
Slave I was quite, boba sitting in the co-pilot seat while you let your mind roam freely to dwelling thoughts. But you let out a little laugh, the sound drawing boba's attention as he tilts his helmet in your direction.
"what's funny dala?" he asked, speaking mando'a, a nickname you've learnt well. He often enjoyed using it in a mocking manner though, it usually rolled off his tongue whenever he was annoyed or like said, mocking someone, aka, you.
You shrug, a grin on your lips. The reason you was amused though, was today's previous events played on your mind. You and boba had both stopped by a cantina on Batuu, only stopping their for fual and a bite to eat. Because you wouldn't shut up until boba finally gave in and took you somewhere to eat. And as you was both enjoying a meal, boba choosing a nice empty booth in the dark corner as he took his helmet off. A man had been flirting with you, it was harmless really, a few compliments on your beauty and a few hints of how the man genuinely wanted to get to know you better. Although he seemed nice you didn't really want to speak with him, so let him down easy.
But boba was, for some odd reason to you, pissed off with the man's constant talking. He didn't like how his eyes roamed your body, didn't like how you indulged him, and he really didn't like how he talked to you, using those flirty little comments and jokes, coaxing a laugh or two from you. Boba hated it, he was fuming. So without hesitation, boba threatened the poor man's life with a cold hard stare causing the man to flee the whole planet with fright.
Although you was slightly mad at boba in the moment, you found it hilarious now. Letting out another laugh you try and cover your mouth, stifling the laugh. "what is it?" he seemed genuinely curious but his words came out bitter.
"you scared that poor man to death boba... He literally left Batuu because of one simple glare and a few threats!" you laughed, grabbing your side because of how hard you was laughing now. "di - did you see his face!" you wheeze out through laughter, "he almost pissed his pants!" you shake your head and your laughter dies down.
Boba, unknowingly to you, had a smile on his face, Almost prideful. He focuses his attention on you now, loving the sight of your wide smile now. He had thought he angered you with how he scared the man off, he thought you was actually attracted to the other man. But seeing you laughing about the situation put him at ease, you wasn't mad at him.
"I thought he was bothering you, he was surely bothering me with his jabbering" boba tried to brush the topic off. He felt slightly annoyed he was jealous over the fact the man had made you smile and laugh. And the man was younger, his face not as scarred or aged as boba's. He didn't want to admit it, but he felt a little insecure when around you, why would you want him when the galaxy had so much more out there for you?
"oh he wasn't jabbering, he was being nice... But you scared him enough to flee the planet" you giggle, amused by the situation.
He only grunts in response, one of many signs he was in a grumby mood. You flicker your eyes down at his side, the side his beskar failed to cover.... Grinning you reach over and poke him.
"stop being grumpy" you muttered playfully, his visor snapping in your direction before falling down to look at where you kept your hand, ready to puke him again.
"I'm not grumpy princess" he harshly grunts out while taking your hand in his and throwing your hand back into your lap. "don't touch me..." he muttered. He may have came off as angry, but under the helmet he was flustered, your touch sending a delightful warmth spreading all over him, turning his face red.
Your smile filters for a moment, thinking you may have infuriated him. The sight makes him guilty until he sees you grin again. "you have to be ticklish, everyone is. I'm now making it my goal to find you're ticklish spot!" you declare cheerfully. Boba shaking his head.
"I'm not ticklish. let me be dala" he spoke while putting the ship on autopilot as he went into hyperspace. Standing up he leaves the cockpit, you following him. He walks into the cargo area, plopping down on a crate as he takes his helmet off, usual stoic expression on his face as he cleans his helmet off. A act he does out of boredom you've grown to discover.
"not ticklish eh? So you won't mind..." you sit beside him making him go stiff visibly, his hand freezing as he wiped the visor off. "this!" you slither your hand on the spot between his neck and shoulder and start tickling, but he does even smile, much to your dismay.
"please stop" he deadpanned. And you do so with a huff. "I'm not ticklish so stop" he continued wiping his helmet off.
You sigh deeply and cross your arms. "I've never seen you smile nor laugh, If I can't find you're ticklish spot then I'll tell you joke's!" you state, his face slowly morphs into one of annoyance.
"please don't... I left tatooine for two reasons: peace and to be able stretch my legs for a bit" he said while looking up at you, his dark eye's capturing you for a bit.
"then why did you invite me to join you? You know I annoy you with my presence" you say, arms crossed.
He invited you because he knew how men eyed you on tatooine with hunger, with a undeniable look of lust. He hated it, wanted to rip all their eyes out for doing so. He knew that if he left any man could waltz up to you and flirt their way into your heart. So he brought you with him because he'd be damned if he left you on tatooine, he never wanted to leave your side.
"because I knew that if I didn't you wouldn't shut up, I've heard how you wanted to leave the place for a little vacation as you put it and I had already planned on hunting so... I invited you" he muttered, blowing on the visor to ensure its clean before sitting it aside, now cleaning his blaster. It wasn't a lie, he heard you telling Fennec how you wished to escape the sands and scorching hot heat for at least a little bit.
Your heart swells at his words, to anyone it was nothing. to you... It was his way of showing affection. He knew you wanted a vacation so he took you with him, if you didn't know any better you'd say he even planned this hunt because that. But that was wishful thinking.
"did I ever I tell you the story of how Mando got zapped by those jawa's?" you snicker, knowing that would at least make him smile. But he nods, confirming you have.
"more then once mesh'la" he didn't mean to let that one simple word slip from his mouth, but it did, and from the beaming smile and small blush on your cheeks, he knew you knew what it meant.
"oh you think I'm beautiful now?" you tease, seeing the way he tensed up whenever the word rolled off his tongue, you knew that you turning it into playful banter would ease away whatever it was that made him tense like that.
"shut up girl" he grumbled while standing up, you doing so making him huff. "don't follow me around like a damn lost child!" he snaps, taking you aback slightly. But you shrug his words off, although they did hit pretty hard.
He saw that and grumbled something before continuing whatever it was he was doing. "what if I don't wanna stop!" you say with a giggle, following him to the poor excuse for a bed he used.
"then I guess I'm gonna have to face the fact you're goal and life purpose is to annoy me" he said, sitting on the bed, slowly stripping the beskar off piece by piece. You could only watch as his soft shirt he wore under it exposed the softness of him, his tummy practically begging for you to reach out and tickle it -
You grin at the thought his tummy would be ticklish, it was a mischievous glint in your eye that alarmed him. "oh no" he muttered as you grin at him and flop down beside him on his bed.
"admit it boba, you enjoy my company" you sigh with a big smile, his scoff only making you giggle. He opens his mouth to respond but whatever he wanted to say was forgotten the moment you tickle his belly, soft and adorable like you always thought it would be.
His eye's widen as he finds himself laughing, a smile on his face. He falls backwards on the bed as you crawl on top of him, straddling him as you continue tickling his belly as your heart flutters at the sight of his smile and sound of his gruff laughter.
"you do have a ticklish spot!" you laugh, his large hands resting on your hips as he flips you over, now he was hovering over you.
"you are relentless" he mused, his smile now gone and replaced back with his grumpy expression. "don't ever do that again mesh'la" he grumbled. But he couldn't deny how being so Close to you makes his desire to kiss you grow strong. Once he catches
"oh Stop being grumpy, it’s lame." you tease him, cheeky smile. He shakes his with a huff.
"You're an idiot" he retorts while rolling off of you, much to your dismay. He sits up and back in the position he was once in. You sit up beside him.
"but you love me" you said it before you could register what exactly fell off your tongue. Boba seemed to freeze beside you, making fear settle deep within your very core. "I - I didn't mean - like -
Your stuttering was shushed by the smile boba gave you, it was soft, didn't quite reach his eye's but it was still genuine. "unfortunately dala I do..." he didn't look you in the eye, instead, his cheeks starting to turn a little pink as he fiddle with a piece of his armor he picked up off the floor, he didn't want to see you possibly reject him, he didn't want to see your face when you laugh at him for confessing such a thing.
But maker was he surprised when you scooted closer and gently cup his cheek making him look at you, the genuine soft smile on your face different from the cheeky ones or mischievous ones you'd always offer the bounty hunter.
"do you mean it?" you ask him, voice barely above a whisper as your eyes search his dark brown ones for the answer, and you saw it, swimming amongst the endless brown hues of his eyes. A truthful, raw emotion besides being angry he showed you, displaying it before your very eyes. Love, adoration, truth....
"I have loved you since the moment I saw you, although I'll have to admit I thought you and you're mandalorian friend was already a couple. That's why I hesitated to talk to you so much" boba confessed, a smile beaming on your face as your eyes glow with joy. Your thumb subconsciously stroking one of many scars on his face.
"likewise, I've never seen someone quite as handsome as you before, nor as intriguing" his snort of amusement made you give him a confused look, wondering what he found funny.
"oh so you find me intriguing?" he smugly replied causing you to roll your eye's. Your free hand that wasn't holding his face, fell to his soft tummy. He tenses up and gives you a warning look. "don't" he muttered.
But you only grin at him, "why not? If you want to laugh at me I'll give you something to laugh at" you slip a hand up his shirt, his warm skin soft. Your touch had his heart doing a flip, if not for the fact he knew you planned on tickling him, he'd find this soothing.
"I wasn't laughing, just simply asking a question"
"after you let out a little laugh" you point out, he shakes his head ready to protest, but you had already begun your assault, tickling his belly. Practically in his lap again as he fell back.
You both knew that if he really wanted, he could stop you easily. But hearing his thunderous laugh echo across the ship and seeing his beautiful smile? It made you beam with happiness, a sight boba couldn't get enough of.
Needless to say, after the hunt you and boba has shared a kiss, slept in his arms every night as he claimed you as his. When you both arrived back on tatooine and into the palace you called home, Fennec had seen how boba had became extra protective over you, seeing how he couldn't seem to leave your side. She knew the hunt brought you both together, it was a relief, now she didn't have to see you both dance around your feelings for each other.
