Hey just saw your writing and I adored it and I had an idea for a story drabble or if you like it enough...a series...basically y/n is a person who loves playing cookie run kingdom but wishes to live among them. Kinda like your...special cookie story but can imagine they are transported into the game as like a weak cookie...like a common cookie. Bet that would make the cookies VERY protective of them if they like y/n lol! As y/n just lives their life and wanders around...possibly even taken on some of the adventures to see more of the world by gingerbrave and his friends, they meet more cookies who adore em aaaand want to protect em!
Bonus if ya want: reader is like...an absolute shy bean who either has no idea how to fight oooor is a pacifist.

You love to decorate the [Name] Kingdom. You are their Ruler after all even it's only a day when you transmigrated into the game. However, since you didn't know how to be a cookie, there are some downsides. Especially that you're the weakest among the kingdom and its residents.

You are quite a crumbling little thing. Your dough hasn't baked into a crispy one and your soul hadn't settled yet with your vessel. You're not allowed to be up and about yet, your legs are shaky and you're like a newborn.
Don't worry your pretty little head, Pure Vanilla Cookie is kind and gentle with you. Standing by your side every step of the way as you practice. You're so shaky and weak, you easily fell down flat on the grass whenever you let go of your trusty staff. No wonder some of the Cookies have them—
Every step you injure yourself, the Healer cookie never hesitated to erase each scratch from your dough. He watches your every move and even offer a hand when you need to. Eventually you'll get accustomed to your body soon enough.
But that doesn't mean the Ancient hero will not be so protective. The young cookies can be rambunctious and run to you out of excitement to finally meet you. So he is alert and telling the young ones to not overwhelm you so much.
Just don't traverse too far from him. He can't afford you to get injured without him to aid you. But he trusts Espresso to handle your curiosity of your Kingdom.

This situation made Espresso Cookie appoint a research for you to easily maneuver your new body. For such a Cookie like yourself, someone who the Ancient Cookie cares for, the scientist had made sure of it that you are well taken care of.
Despite his busy schedule, Espresso Cookie uncharacteristically dropped his current research to leash you near him. He constantly has to panic whenever his sight isn't on you. He is already disheveled and in distress before he can finally find you among the deep forest that leads to adventure to Crispia.
But the leash he had on you won't let you travel far. He can't let you go deep in dangers out there. The Kingdom is nothing without their ruler and you had just get here.
He has to get the best distraction for you. Do you like shiny things? He has some trinkets you can play in his laboratory. Despite not wanting anyone to disorganize his tools, he may allow you to clean up his equipment as long as you don't get far from the premises of the Kingdom.
But eventually you got away and curiosity got the best of you. What danger lays outside the Kingdom that made Pure Vanilla Cookie and Espresso Cookie forbid you to get far?

That's when Red Velvet Cookie find you. He lost chiffon one time and some of his cakehounds when he encountered the frail you.
Red Velvet Cookie knew the cookies that built a kingdom for the Ruler to arrive. He was expecting someone so powerful and as vile as the residents of [Name] Kingdom that harm his precious hounds. But the way you let the little ones cuddle up to you and hesitate to even have a thought of laying a hand of them. The cookie of darkness is intrigued by your pacifism.
So he approached you, promising himself to protect you from harm as you adore and spoil the cakehounds that refused to leave you.
You're part of his family now, despite being on the 'good' side.

Man I skimmed through that "Gaster is the one who wrote the True Lab Entries" video that circulating and just...
It is such a peculiar video. Incredibly researched points yet small incorrect statements (e.g calling the Golden Flowers "Buttercups" or assuming Asgore didn't live in his New Home house????). Interesting points yet rather harsh to Alphys (it calls her a fraud like three times despite her overall accomplishing so much). Good analysis yet overlooking crucial details for the theory to work (such as "What is the narrative point of having Alphys's whole Arc closer not be her own accomplishments and failures?").
It's such a shame because the author evidently put a lot of time and thought into it, but it also feels like they are trying to push the theory together with pieces of a much more obvious puzzle. Missing the forest for the trees or something like that.
And alas, it now makes me want to see well written (or atleast decently understand) media that does involve Gaster and Alphys, because they do have a lot of potential when you aren't gutting one to fill another.
gonna be frank w you I don't know what you see in that video at all. "interesting points" it's just half an hour of making up inconsistencies that aren't there and then gutting all of Alphys' dedicated subplot to explain said inconsistencies (that aren't there) and give them to Gaster.
not only that, the entire assumption that gaster's work would be out there in the open and accessible through regular gameplay is such a complete misunderstanding of his character inspiration and theme. he's not meant to be found. in the original version of the game, his fun events were accessible through file editing ONLY. he very obviously plays off of easter eggs and creepypasta-like game secrets, so why would his entries just... be there. in the unskippable, story required segment of the pacifist run. it just speaks to a really clueless form of analysis where it's so obvious that the theorist hasn't considered authorial intent.
i am genuinely this close to deciding that the "symbols... or maybe it's the handwriting" you read on the workshop blueprints are actually just Alphys, no gaster involved. as petty revenge. see people argue against THAT for once.

Just started playing Skyrim as Edward Elric, here's a few highlights of my run and the Lore:
I'm playing on legendary survival mode because Ed's life sucks <3
One of the essential goals is to level alchemy up to 100. I will also be playing as a mage (which I've never done before so this should be interesting)
I'm not allowed to kill ANY PERSON. Not even bandits. Because Ed's a staunch pacifist so the 'people death' counter stays at zero for as long as humanly possible if not the entire playthrough. This is only for people, though, so draugr, animals, monsters, robots etc don't count. (I'm not sure where dragons land on that but I've already killed one so I guess it's too late to ponder it)
Also im not allowed to use soul gems. Those are functionally philosopher's stones, so Ed's not keen on that
I will also not be using any shrines/amulets because Ed's an atheist
Only steel and iron weapons! He's the Fullmetal Alchemist after all. Preferably one-handed weapons, as the sword arm is his go-to.
Enchantments are allowed (outside of soul trap for obvious reasons) as long as they come with the weapon when I find it, and I can't recharge them or make my own since I can't use soul gems
Leather armor because Ed wears leather in canon. Presently looking for a red outfit that looks anything like his coat. I'm thinking the vampire armor will be my best bet
I've got no mods otherwise I'd add a dwarven centurion follower and have that be my Al
As it stands, though, I've come up with a story that Al is functionally dead but Ed can summon his soul to fight for him in the form of conjuration spells. So far I've been summoning 'Al' as a wolf familiar and even a storm atronach when I found a scroll for it
(I considered dressing a follower up in armor so that they can be 'Al'. Still thinking about it but i kinda like the conjuration thing)
Ed's 'journey' lore wise is researching the Dwemer, since he thinks their disappearance could be related to Al's body being gone. I'll be reading every book possible about the Dwemer and researching every possible Dwemer ruin when I find it (I don't know a lot about the Dwemer anyway so me and Ed both are learning Together)
I'm also gonna be going to hermaeus mora's creepy realm cuz that's probably the closest to the truth dimension im gonna get (I've never finished that quest before this is gonna be fun)
I've got no Winry stand in but every time I upgrade my armor and weapons I pretend I'm stopping by Rush Valley or smth. Winry is there in spirit
I will be punching every godlike being in the face whenever humanly possible because that's what Edward Elric would do
That's it so far, I'll keep you updated on what's going on with the pipsqueak as i go along✌️

ooh....you know for someone who has an obscenely long ghost emma wip I've never really considered if she just survived from the beginning hmm...
well obviously when sam barges in the room dean either manages to put himself in front of emma and talk him down, or, the sexier option, he shoots the gun out of sam's hand. sam still argues but dean is invoking oldest rule here lmao. I don't know if 'poughkeepsie' would apply here but I want him to drop a code word to guilt sam into letting emma come along
between his attitude and the whole 'pulling a gun on her' thing emma reasonably does not like sam right off the bat, so she's practically glued to dean like a shadow for the first couple weeks
(personally I think emma truly wanted to escape and didn't want to hurt anyone, I think she only pulled the knife bc she couldn't read dean and thought he wasn't gonna help her. so obviously that's. less of an issue here)
idk I just really like the idea of emma knowing How to fight but having more of a pacifistic nature, not really blending well with either sides of her family. like she didn't ask dean to protect her from the amazons so she could be a hunter. dean may not be able to give her a normal life while they're busy hiding from leviathans, amazons, and the us government, but he'll be damned if he's gonna force her into a fight or give her a gun. sam tries to convince emma to work as bait for the pennywhistle case and dean goes Nuclear
so once dean's comfortable letting her out of his sight for longer than half an hour she's usually on research or like, the get away driver lol
dean's 'never had enough money to get nice things for sammy' childhood guilt is manifesting aggressively he's buying stuff for emma every time he goes anywhere. whole back seat of the car is decked out with fluffy blankets and pillows, she's got her own collection of music, clothes, stuff like that. she definitely has more stuff than she should have considering they're living on the run but that's not gonna stop dean
sorry I just love the idea of sam constantly picking fights with her and dean being like. Why Do You Have Beef With My Newborn.
like I definitely think sam would warm up to her before the end of the season, especially after cas fixes his mind, but between the amy situation and his personal trauma about feeling like a monster his family should have hunted, I think he'd just. have a rough time with her at first. plus in no world does sam know how to communicate with teenage girls lmao
HOWEVER I don't think she'd stay with him while dean is trapped in purgatory. I think lowkey sam doesn't even really. Consider being her guardian or whatever bc he sees her as grown and capable, but also he's immediately trying to find a place to settle down and emma is like. what the fuck are you talking about none of this is finished???
so she takes off. she wants to find kevin to 1) make sure he's okay and 2) see if his prophet powers can help her figure out what happened to dean and cas. I think she should meet up with charlie!!! she figures if anyone can track down a missing person it'd be her, and we all know charlie's not gonna turn away kid wanting to save her parent.
they do find kevin (and linda!) and get them situated and do what they can to hide them from crowley. dean and cas eventually get out of purgatory the same way as in canon bc they couldn't really figure that out, but at least kevin wasn't abandoned all year and had a decent head start on figuring out the tablet. the four of them have a little clubhouse set up and charlie makes buffy the vampire slayer references or room of requirement jokes literally every day
this is pretty much all I've got right now, but I'm always filled with sorrow on emma's (and deans) behalf omg. someone please save her already

So recently I came out as ace to my friends
My friends in the Dungeons and Dragons group that my partner runs, anyway.
I'm playing an asexual bard, because I love flipping archetypes. Last campaign I was a pacifist barbarian. It was great! But I was doing research to play said ace Bard, and it led me to asking questions about myself that I was pretty sure I knew the answer to, but was afraid to truly acknowledge until now.
So I come out to them, and my dragonborn paladin player was like ".....so what's ace?"
And my dwarven warlock, who my ace bard halfling has a crush on, responded "Oh, asexual. They don't feel sexual attraction to people."
To which my half-elf monk replies "Well, maybe you just haven't found the right person yet?" (Don't blame her, she's a 60 year old woman.)
To which the warlock (bless him) goes "Well no, Red's not aromantic, they still have feelings. They're with the DM. They just don't find people sexy. Right?"
And I confirm, and explain that ace just means no attraction, and that I still am sexual with my partner (who I asked for permission to disclose details if asked beforehand) and that while I don't look at a person and think "Woah, sexy." that doesn't mean I don't have nerve endings or anything like that.
I've always described myself with this metaphor, and I'll post it here. Pretty people are pretty, like paintings. At no point ever have I thought "I wanna fuck that painting."
Paladin and Monk were confused, but eventually Warlock and I explained, and they got the spirit. They both congratulated me on being more authentically myself, and it was all very sweet.
So, happy ending!
....But I also started the conversation with: "So you guys are attracted to people, right? Like you just see people on the street and think 'Oh dang, I would like to have sex with that person?'"
And they confirm, and Warlock goes "It's like smelling someone cooking as you walk down the street. You don't suddenly NEED to eat, but you might feel a rumble in your stomach."
And my response was "Oh, because I totally thought people were just LYING."
Like it was one of those things you did as a kid, like "Oh yes, I am an adult and like The Sex with the Hot Person Over There."

"Wake up, sleepy head~!" A voice calls to you, stirring you from your foggy mind. Where were you? You felt like you were on a metal table....
The room smelled of medical supplies like at your base... and bird poop- In fact, did you hear the faint cooing of a bird? What was going on?
"You see, this was the only way I could speak to you without you running away! Just because we're on opposite sides doesn't mean we can't speak doctor to doctor...!"
Your eyes shoot open at the voice, light flooding them painfully. You hiss in surprise before sitting up. Adrenaline shook you awake once you realized the situation.
This place felt familiar to your own medical bay, but it wasn't yours. It was the one at RED base. Meaning the person in front of you....
"Now, don't be shy to use our actual names here, dear." The RED medic in front of you gives a twisted smile, sadistic eyes staring at your tired and most likely drugged gaze. "I'm Ludwig, I also already know your name through some careful... research."
The corrupt doctor then laughs, not leaving your side.
"Such a nice name, too. (Y/N)... oh I just love it!"
You try to shake the fatigue from your head to comprehend the situation. It was quite obvious you were drugged and kidnapped. The question was... why?
"... are you trying to interrogate me?"
You should've expected something like this when you took the job. Which is why you were trying your best to hide your fear. Ludwig looks at you with confusion.
"Interrogate? No, dear! That was never my intention!"
Ludwig then leans on a wall nearby you, never once taking his eyes off you.
"I just find it fascinating that despite being in the same field we act so different. You enjoy following the... rules much more than me."
"That's what being a doctor is about. I thought of all people you'd know that. As our team's medic we're supposed to heal people... speaking of which-"
You get up, legs still a little unstable.
"My team must be worried sick."
Ludwig then pushes himself off the wall and stops you. His eyes are cold now. A disturbing sight.
The RED medic was so similar to you... but different too. You cared for your patients while he saw his as little more than experiments. What could someone such as him want with you?
"I can't guarantee you leaving all alone will be safe, (Y/N). My team isn't as merciful as yours."
By his tone you could tell Ludwig was not playing around. If you left this room, you'd have to deal with the entirety of RED team. Staying here you just had Ludwig....
"What is it you want with me then?"
"Despite your situation you act so calm..." Ludwig chuckles.
"A chat, dear! That's all.... You've enticed me out on the battlefield. It took forever just to corner you."
It was obvious he was the one with enough medical knowledge to drug you. His solution to you not wanting to chat due to your sides was to kidnap you? He was more insane than you thought....
"You did all this... to chat?" You ask in disbelief.
"It was needed if you kept running. I think we'll get along well if you stopped avoiding me."
Ludwig huffs, maneuvering you back to the table
"We're more alike than you think! It's cute how you think in war you can play the good doctor."
"We are not the same. You torture your patients."
"Medicine is about experimenting, is it not? I'm just a little more extreme with healing them."
"You're insane-"
"I'm not denying it!"
"What would an insane doctor like you want with me?"
Ludwig goes silent for a moment. You think you're pushing him too much before he wraps his arms around you. An action that stops your breathing for just a moment.
"... Opposites attract, do they not?"
"You could not possibly be implying-"
"That I've fallen for you?" Ludwig interrupts you. "Is it so hard to wrap your head around? You're alluring on that battlefield, dear. I just feel if we talked more you'd get me!"
"I barely know you, we're enemies!"
"Ever heard of the trope enemies to lovers? It can still work, (Y/N)."
"Just what did you plan to gain from this?"
"You, dear. I plan to gain your companionship one way or another. Even if it meant dragging you here."
"Not only are you insane, you're delusional...."
You're caged against Ludwig by this point, that playful nature he exhibited before was gone. He was growing impatient.
"I'm getting tired of this bickering, (Y/N). I know it'll be... hard to feel comfortable around a RED as a BLU, but the RED team could always use another medic."
"... You're suggesting I switch to RED? All because you think you love me...."
You then see him grab something off a table before placing it on your leg. You look down, eyes widening in fear. A bonesaw....
"Yes! I'm so happy you catch on." He grins, leaning closer. You feel the saw press into your leg as a silent threat. "If it wasn't obvious, you have no choice in the matter."
He then grabs your chin, forcing you to look up.
"I'm glad I managed to get such feelings off my chest. Soon you'll feel the same in time. I DO know how stockholm syndrome works, dear."

I've always wanted to do this character card with one of my original characters, and here I am. My 12 year old self would cry from joy since I even tried to imitate the artstyle but I got too tired at the end, so... I'll just put her here. I even made spanish versions and GIF versions because the flag changes color depending on the season which is so good. My research might be wrong so if there are errors I will gladly fix them.
Meet Užupis, a micronation located in Lithuania!
I have all her information here because I got too invested and the Užupis Constitution is too much fun. I even wrote what her relationship with others characters is like... I kinda love her, actually. She's Lithuania's little sister with a harsh story on her back. Too harsh, honestly, she deserves the whole world. If you'd like to read more, here it is.

Užupis appears as a teenage girl of golden eyes with a confident and relaxed smile at all times, keeping her long hair in a low ponytail and wearing two hairclips that resemble angel wings. She wears traditional masculine Lithuanian clothing; a long green coat with a sash surrounding her waist, which changes color depending on the season and her mood. Under the coat she wears a white shirt and black shorts. She wears high black boots and gloves with a circle on the back of the hand and she sometimes carries sculpting tools with her.
Personality and Interests:
Located in the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, she is a neighborhood full of artists and bohemians of all kinds since Soviet times, which makes her an artist as well, though she loves sculpting the most and has many projects ongoing at the same time. With a knack for pranks and jokes, her carefree but determined attitude makes everyone wonder if she’s being serious or not, which only amuses her more. She declares herself a pacifist and free spirit and everflowing “just like the River Vilnelė!” but is shown to be easily influenced by the other micronations, always going with the flow. Užupis considers everyone equally deserving of love, since her home used to give shelter to homeless people and sex workers with no disctinction, but she gets easily flustered when someone shows her affection since she grew up in a harsh environment. She also has a gloomy side to her, sometimes mumbling to herself about black-and-white silent and experimental cinema that show the grim realities of life; these last two qualities may or may have not been inherited from Lithuania himself. She is also hopeless with technology since Užupis does not house internet-cafes, markets or shopping malls.
Relationships:
Lithuania Despite being her older brother, she bears a resentment towards him due to being neglected for the first years of her life to the point she used to be one of the poorest areas of the city with many run-down houses without utilities. She doesn’t have a Lithuanian embassy either and refuses to call him brother, much to his dismay. She knows it wasn’t his fault, but she can’t help but feel hurt by it. They are currently mending their relationship bit by bit and Užupis even started to play pranks on him, too!
Belarus Because her river also crosses Belarus, she came to know her and became mesmerized by her. As neighbors, Užupis admires her strength and grace and wishes to sculpt the perfect masterpiece to make justice to Belarus’ beauty. Belarus couldn’t care less about her, though, and Užupis is often ignored but thankfully never harmed. Not that she would care, since she is Lithuania’s sister, after all.
Poland They get along quite well and she always exclaims that she wishes Poland was her big brother, much to Lithuania's dismay. She admires Poland's strength and is one of her biggest inspirations, but above all, they both love to (affectionately) torment Lithuania.
Hutt River Užupis finds Hutt River amusing and they bond over the fact they both have rivers they are attached to, but for some reason, her pranks never seem to work on him which frustrates her to no end. She doesn’t give up, though, she is always planning a way to surprise and finally shake up Hutt River out of his elegant and dignified persona! However, she still respects him and admires his organizated house.
Kugelmugel As a fellow artistic micronation, she respects Kugelmugel greatly and is one of the few who doesn’t get intimidated by his outbursts. In turn, she actually supports and even cheers for him when he ponders what is art and what is not. To Užupis everything is art and they argue and discuss these matters seriously, exchanging ideas and perspectives. Užupis thinks he’s cute.
Ladonia As a fellow artistic micronation, she respects Ladonia and sees him as a symbol of inspiration for his strong personality and the way he defeated Sweden so many times! Užupis believes his stories and hypes him up, though since she is absolutely hopeless with technology they can’t seem to see eye to eye... So Užupis decides to clutch to his height, haha! Yeah, she teases him as a sport and pranks him quite often. Užupis thinks he’s cute.
Molossia She finds him fun and enjoys pulling pranks on him just to see his reaction, but she wishes for him to be honest with himself and often gives long speeches about the happiness of being truthful with oneself. Molossia mostly curses and tries to push her away, but Užupis is stubborn and will strive to make the purest and most honest art of the world with a sculpture she plans to make of Molossia’s true personality! She always says this out loud, which embarrasses him further.
Nikoniko She never got to meet him, but she respects him and can’t help but be fascinated at the beauty of humanity he has. She sometimes daydreams about becoming human as well and wonders if it was worth it, but respects Nikoniko’s decision and is in awe at the beauty of his journey.
Sealand Užupis admires his confidence and strength and considers him an example to follow, something she always chooses to say so she can boost Sealand’s self-esteem as a supportive friend and admirer. However, since she is really far from the sea of Lithuania and is accustomed to freshwater rivers, she can’t bring herself to like that much the sea that surrounds him and they sometimes bicker about it, but she does her best to see through his perspective... But it’s too salty, too salty!
Seborga They are the closest in age and get along fairly well as two carefree micronations who like to play pranks on the others, but Užupis gets easily flustered when he flirts with her to which she often responds with an out of pocket joke in an attempt to flee from the situation and disimulate. She appreciates his warmth and cheerfulness and often says she has a lot to learn from him, quoting him as a “beckon of freedom and love!”
Wy As a fellow artistic micronation, she respects Wy and in turn Wy sees her as a “senpai” of sorts due to being older and having more official citizens, though Užupis puts no importance in that type of thing. Aerican She can’t understand him but at the same time she does, it’s a complicated relationship that is fueled by their love of cinema, even if Užupis’ preference is more somber and old. She states that Aerican’s dramatic costume counts as art as well and rejoices at his performance, hyping him up and clapping her hands everytime he says something cool. She sure wishes he stopped trying to get her to understand video games...
Nikoniko Jr Cute, so cute! Užupis considers him the cutest of the cutest and wishes to protect his innocence, mostly because she held none of it when she was his age. She likes to joke with him and show him cool tricks to make him smile, but because she is really inexperienced with children she often lets him ride the huge and dangerous statues she makes, giving everyone a headache.
Trivia:
Anželika is the Latvian and Lithuanian form of Angelica and it ties to the Angel of Užupis.
She is quite small with only 148 acres (60 ha) in size and a fairly new independent micronation, but she looks like a teenage girl thanks to the cultural blossoming she experienced to the point she even granted the 14th Dalai Lama an honorary citizenship in 2013. He later returned in 2018 to plant a tree in the Republic's "Tibet Square" to mark 100 years since the Council of Lithuania proclaimed the restoration of an independent state of Lithuania.
She has ambassadors that represent the republic and its constitution in a certain state or geographic region while others share the republic's spirit in various realms of life like the ambassador among hummingbirds, the ambassador of knowledge for humanity or the ambassador for whistling in the streets. There is even an embassy that strives to build bridges between arts and AI technology to make artificial intelligence more accessible to society, more ethical and more innovative.
Her constitution, which was blessed by Pope Francis in 2018, has 38 articles and 3 mottos translated in 23 languages. The Angel of Užupis is a statue of an angel blowing a trumpet situated in the main square. It is in memory of animator and caricaturist Zenonas Šteinys and became a symbol of the revival of the republic. Previously, a temporary sculpture of an egg stood in its place. There is also another statue made by the same sculptor, Romas Vilčiauskas, which depicts a mermaid.
The official flag of the Republic of Užupis changes color depending on the season. It features the palm of a hand with a circle on it on a white background. Blue for winter, green for spring, yellow for Summer and red for autumn.
Her outfit is a Lithuanian traditional clothing from the Dzukija region, which is where the capital of Vilnius is, which is at the same time where Užupis is located.
The name Užupis means "beyond the river" or "the other side of the river."

SOME TRIGUN AUS
“Paradise” AU
The fundamental premise is that when the ships crash, rather than cackling like a maniac, Nai keeps his shit together just long enough to see the horror in Vash’s eyes
I don’t know what exactly nai was thinking in canon, but here he realizes that he might genuinely be at risk of losing vash, even if the crash was all for him in the first place
He did it for vash and vash, he realized, can never, ever know
He spins a story about other humans trying to steal the plants on Ship 5, or trying to take the twins away from Rem to do what they did to Tesla
Vash is devastated and scared and all he really has to cling to is Nai, so even if some things don’t quite add up, he believes him
They “grieve” together and then Nai starts building a “paradise,” same as in canon
(The rest is more tentative)
At the start of season one, Vash is wanted for stealing plants still—he and Nai have been looking for some way to bring the plants back to life (or at least, vash thinks so)
Vash is still a pacifist to the extreme but he does not have the sense of needing to atone for his brother’s crimes. He tries to convince people to give over their red plants for healing but is not above heists when need be—again, in this world he doesn’t blame himself or Nai for the harsh conditions humanity faces, and so he’s a bit more inclined to take a dead or dying plant’s side, especially since they’re no longer providing a town with resources or won’t be for long
Nai probably also frames this as benefitting humanity, like once the plants are healed they can be brought back
The eye of Michael still does it’s thing but vash is MUCH less aware of the extent of it. Nai has been trying to keep this deception going for over a century, he’s good at it by now
He’s not sure how to unlock vash’s gate though.
Vash is looking for more dead or dying plants in Jeanora Rock when he meets Meryl and Roberto
Domesticated Nai AU
The crash was genuinely an accident
Nai loves his brother more than anything else, even his sisters, so reluctantly, he lets vash take the lead
You know what’s worse than one accident prone idiot? TWO.
The main antagonist would probably be the scientist, trying to create more plants or graft together humans and independents somehow

Wolf’s Rain AU (tentative details)
Nai and Vash are made of moon flowers, allegedly destined to lead the way to paradise
They were created when a lot of desperate scientists decided to seek out a legendary utopia as the planet became increasingly ravaged by war and pollution
The issue is that the legend also said wolves would be the ones led to paradise, not humans—So there’s also been some gene splicing going on there to resolve that
That’s how you get wolfwood and livio. Wolfwood on paper is a perfect success, able to assume a wolf guise and having their strength, speed, and senses. Livio is…less so in some way and more so in others. He has all the same enhancements, but can’t quite go all the way human or wolf.
Nai breaks out, killing everyone he can find to reach Vash, and the two are on the run from there. Wolfwood and Livio get sent after them
They meet Meryl and Roberto, two “true” wolves, and vash wants to keep traveling with them, while Nai thinks every being is unworthy of paradise but he and vash. They fight and part ways
So vash, Meryl, and Roberto—later joined by an excitable wolf named milly—are trying to find paradise and hopefully from there, either get as many wolves in or try to model the rest of the planet on what they find there
Wolfwood and Livio are hunting them for the lab at first, but Nai does??? Something??? Idk Nai might return to the lab and take over all the research at knives-point—but in any case, that shifts to ww and Livio hunting the pack on behalf of Nai

Chapter 2: Diablo
Ok, Legato Bluesummers is a HUGE problem child, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE his character design. This guy would adore goth fashion.
I wonder who's decided Vash deserves this particular hell. Also, it's noteworthy that the fact that they're sending TWELVE assassins after him (presumably one at a time) suggests they expect at least the first few to fail.
"Anyone in their right mind would keep that man locked up!" Hahahahahahahaha, try it.
Ugh, poor Vash.... He looks so sad and angry... and a bit scary. I'm worried for him.
It would be absolutely understandable if his feelings here were toward the humans unjustly locking him up, but the text goes on to let us know that the primary thing on his mind... the source of all his feelings right now... is Knives.
Flashback time!
Ohhhh, this is a place where '98 hard deviated, but Stampede stayed the course. '98 had Vash, Knives, and Rem running around with a handful of other characters back then, but here, it's just them.
Honestly, I feel like this panel is hitting on more story themes than are immediately apparent.
How sad that loneliness drove her to join Project Seeds. Sad, but understandable.
Oh, Vash, babygirl. Someone hug him.
You know, there's another character who wears an outfit that looks very similar to this in present day. And it's not Vash.
Full-on mom mode here in telling them what to do.
Vash looks older in this scene than he did in either anime adaptation.

TBH, Knives's argument here feels like justification after the fact. Like he needs a reason for everything that just happened to be right despite any elements of it going sideways.
For a pacifist, he sure can rock some serious murderface.
The ease with which he flips from murderface to softboi face is a bit disturbing.
He says this, but babygirl here looks SO TIRED. Whether or not he believes what he's saying, I think he really needs their kindness right now.

Chapter 3: Fragile

Oof, little Meryl. I'm glad Milly's taking care of her.
I wish it was apparent who was thinking they can't let Vash go. I'm guessing it's Meryl, but that's based on metagame knowledge.

Oof, goodbye, buildings. May you meet up with the windows from the previous chapter in whatever afterlife architecture ends up in.
Ok, this pause, though. This deliberate pause. The way the panels move from Vash shouting as loud as he can, to this almost peaceful pose of his back with the "ooooo" hum being the only indication of movement as he looks at a literal wall, to the GIANT SWISS CHEESE EXPLOSION. That's such a good build.
Ahhhh, and then this show of him focusing on the next page. People are getting shot, the world is exploding, and his gun is PERFECTLY LEVEL, his eyes are open. He's watching and waiting like a freaking ambush predator.
Aaaand he's injured. Darnit.
BUT HE MADE THE SHOT. TWICE. And Monev knows it.

Vash is using the door as a shield. Just not the way one would suspect.

Even after all this, Vash's resolve immediately cracks when he sees Monev's genuine fear of dying.
Again, with Rem's form blending into his and dominating the page. Meanwhile, he's just a shadow in the corner. Again, with the heavenly imagery of her, where here the only think keeping her from looking like a traditional angel is the lack of wings. But her hair, the way the cloth flows around her, and her whole pose speaks of angel's flight.
And, shaking, his gun dripping with blood from the force with which he shoved it in Monev's eye, he comes back to himself. And loses it in an entirely different way.
I love this last panel. It makes Vash seem so small and so alone. At the same time, literally everyone else in the panel aside from Monev is coming toward him to help. He might feel alone, but he's far from it.
Chapter 4: Scars
Ah, yes. Fragile things do end up with scars, if they don't break.
Honestly, what Meryl is typing here sounds far more journalistic than insurance agent-y.
She's starting to realize that, while Vash himself is a nice and gentle soul, there's a lot about him she doesn't know. I'm reminded of that quote, "No one will ever know the violence it took to become this gentle."
(BTW, I'm listening to the Stampede soundtrack and it's currently playing the version of Knives's theme with vocals and it's NOT HELPING.)
(Also, it sounds like SOMEONE is developing a bit of a crush on Mr. The Stampede.)
Monev seems to have grown some respect for Vash.
Ha, they gave this line to Wolfwood in Stampede.
I appreciate Vash's response. It says a lot about his character. Even when he seems like he's trusting, he's generally being far more cautious than people think he's being.

*sigh* Everyone's scared, but he saved them all. But... their concerns aren't unjustified. If one assassin found him, the others likely will, too. And it's not like they'd send their biggest guns for Round 1.

Vash might have initially been put off by them seeing his scars, but now that they have, he doesn't seem to see a reason to hide them.
I don't think Vash could live a quiet life if he wanted to. Not with the Gung-Ho Guns hunting him. We'll not get into Ericks for the time being.
This is such a thing, though. I don't think she would fault him or think any less of him if he never bothered to settle that score. Then again, all things considered, him taking a back seat in all this would kind of be ignoring a ticking time bomb that might undo all she sacrificed for.
Huh, it's a bit of a surprise they let Monev stay for a few days, too.

Yep, it's Monev. Is... is he still alive??? Crucifixion is specifically designed to 1) be IMMENSELY painful (the spikes are generally hammered not through the palms, where they'd just rip out, but through the nerve bundle that runs up the forearm between the bones, which are holding the majority of your weight), and 2) slowly kill via exposure.
Nooooo, I don't like this guy alreadyyyyyyy....
I... I don't think Monev had a home. Not really. Not like the Gung-Ho Guns were gonna welcome him back to the mansion basement. He'd need to make a new path for himself in the world.

Go for the source of the problem rather than the riffraff it's kicking up. Wise. Legato doesn't look pleased by this change of plans. But I think Vash is right to decide this quest is shit.
I feel very Two Cakes-y about manga Monev vs. TriStamp Monev.
(Warning: Spoilers for Trigun: Stampede ahead.)
There are things I like about both. And while TriStamp wrapping Vash directly into his backstory and mucking much more clearly with Monev's head might be a bit off-putting to some, I appreciated how much more personal they made his arc to Vash. You have all the same elements; a boy betrayed and trained to be a monster, released primarily to cause Vash pain, and then just as it seems he might be saved from everything he's been through, his life is cut short in a way that does NOT endear Vash to his killer.
But in Stampede, Monev's arc also holds the full weight of 20 years of Vash being too late. Too late to save the town. Too late to save the boy. To short-sighted to see the consequences of just trying to help. Too slow to save the man.
It makes it hit in a far more meaningful fashion... but I don't know that it would be right for manga Vash at this point in his story arc. Right now, he needs to recognize and reconcile what he is and isn't. We've seen far more of him being silly than we've seen of him being dangerous, and here, we see him leaning into his more dangerous side. Through his arc in the manga, we too must start to ask the questions Meryl asks, and might begin to wonder if, perhaps, the Humanoid Typhoon is far closer to the edge than he immediately appears.

Everyday you see a new shitty take from someone with no backbone who thinks they are the kindest most compassionate person on earth going “Don’t choose sides! Violence is bad no matter what! All I want is peace for innocent civilians from both sides! We should condemn a terrorist organization! (only referring to Hamas btw cause apparently when you slap on the label of state-sponsored and government that doesn’t count as a terrorist entity) Women and children from both sides shouldn’t have to suffer at the hands of men fighting! (When there are so many full blown Zionist women also committing violence and spreading propaganda too! And Palestinian men suffering under settler colonialism) All I want is peace!”

Okay so I'm not the most knowledged on Cookie Run but I'm a huge Splatoon nerd and I am intrigued by this crossover, may I know the swaps and a bit about them personality-wise? (In other words, use this as an excuse to ramble about the AU if you want/need to :))
OOOOOO WELCOME TO THE COOKIE ZONE
so uh I haven't gotten the FULL cast planned out but here's a couple of the important characters (I will poorly/comedically explain the personalities but just note that basically everyone keeps their original/cookie run personalities they're just put into the Splatoon roles and sea creature-ified)
(under the cut for the convenience of others):
*Gingerbrave as Agent/Captain 3. He's like ten years old or something and his main shtick is bravery so he's like any good video game protagonist (and I mean he IS the main protagonist of cookie run anyway so-). Don't ask why he's naked.
*Pure Vanilla as Cuttlefish. He's old and he helps the protagonists so I decided to slide him into the role despite him being like nothing like ol' Craig personality-wise (this dude's like Undertale True Pacifist incarnate or something). Also he has soul-crushing trauma so that's neat (suffering makes any cookie taste better yum yum-)
*Alchemist as Callie. Arguably she has more in common with Marie but she and Callie have the same energy to me sooooooooooooo- anyway uh Prideful Nerd. Ego. (She likes Research and does alchemy stuff [hence her name-). (I'm shxt at explaining things ok-)
*Vampire as Marie. 'Cus you know how the squid sisters are actual cousins? Well idk what these two would be called here but it'd probably be something with Cousins in the name 'cus they're actually siblings (he's alchemist's older brother). Don't ask why he's an alcoholic(?) he is literally partially made out of wine so he kinda acts at least a little drunk constantly. He's super chill and doesn't like having to Do Things (which I mean Relatable but-). Also he and his sister have been living rent free in my head for the last like week so-
(Alch and Vamp are unrelated to Pure Vanilla so for AU purposes he's basically adopted them here. I can make the rules if I want :P)

lately my splatoon and speedrunning special interests have been combining so now i bring you: splatoon 3 [ individual level ] pacifist speedrun . you cannot kill any enemies . You have to avoid every single one of them and run to the goal
Also some clarification on what counts as killing :
exploding octarians exploding does not count as killing as long as you were not the one to shoot ink and cause their explosion . if they exploded without you doing anything the run would be safe
bossfights dont count as all of the characters reappear in later cutscenes / story beats so therefore bossfights do not count as killing
whether smallfry would be allowed is up to you . obviously no matter what smallfry eating fuzzy ooze wouldnt count as harming smallfry OR the fuzzy ooze as you are feeding smallfry and the fuzzy ooze is not actually alive
Surprisingly a LOT of levels that you wouldnt expect to be possible w these restrictions are actually totally possible . Like some levels that are meant to be combat based are totally pacifist compatible as long as there arent any enemy triggers , aka stuff that only appears / moves and lets you go forward after killing one specific / all of the enemies in an area ! even then there may possibly be skips that could be done to bypass enemy triggers
Im not sure if a full game speedrun is actually possible so rather than immediately trying one there should be more research done into what levels are pacifist compatible and what ones are not and whether or not that would give you enough power eggs to beat the game before anyone tries a full game speedrun

VtMB challenge runs?
Since I have re-discovered my obsession with VtMB I have decided to replay the game again. However, since I have also played through VtMB A LOT, I wanted to try to do something new and different (which isn’t a mod); something to spice up the gameplay a little - get through the game without spending any experience points (raising skill stats through books, items, and NPCs is still possible as far as the research stat allows though). I am as far as the warrens currently and may upload the gameplay I have recorded so far if people are interested?
Anyway, I think a lot of VtMB fans can relate to the part about having played the game very often so I thought I would just create a small list of hypothetical challenges for VtMB; to perhaps inspire fans for their subsequent playthroughs ^^
1. No XP spending, as described above.
2. No disciplines. (Exception: tutorial)
3. Only low-skill/early-game weapons. (Like tire iron or baseball bat for melee characters; revolver .38 for ranged; disciplines may or may not be used, depending on how difficult you want it to be)
4. (Relatively) Pacifist playthrough. (Try to get through the game with as little fighting as possible; with the exception of mandatory bosses (side quests included), try to bypass enemy encounters - with social skills, sneaking or just by running. Could be somewhat of a speedrun challenge I guess...)
If you have additional ideas or gameplay of your own to show in this line, feel free to add to this post ^^ Now, I haven’t tested the ones I came up with (yet), except for the XP challenge I am doing right now, so I don’t know how truly feasible these are. Maybe I or someone else will find out in the future ^^

Dalgari Thrones of Legend: Main Characters
Ok, now that I got the lore out of the way, TIME FOR SOME ACTUAL CHARACTER PROFILES!
also btw I'm still working on TC, but I also don't wanna forget about this story. It's fun-
But anyway
The child of Duchess Viria of Cerotia, the woman with dreams of uniting the continent peacefully with the Gilded Guardians. They want to see their mother's dreams come true and will do everything in her power to make everyone feel welcome and safe. She's a kind and empathetic person who will stop at nothing to help people around her.
🏞️Enid(She/They)
The crown prince of Bovent who wants to be a pillar of strength to his allies in the darkest times. A rowdy, heroic and kind young man who is more than a little hotheaded. He struggles to be more than a simple warrior, not favoring politics or tactics
🔥Taurn(He/Him)
Crown prince of Liron. While the rest of the royals and nobles spend their time partying when the people suffer, Leon does his best to defend the country in their stead. A noble and kind young man who wants to be active and help his homeland progress and prosper. In love with Angeline.
❄️Leon(He/Him)
The crown princess of Delka. Because of the disappearance of her mother, Sophia decided to step up and search for her herself, though she has had very little success. She may seem cheerful and happy on the outside, but her anxieties about leading her country grow more and more each day, especially with all the tension thwts been building up. But she still makes time to uplift her friends.
🌲Sophia (She/Her)
The daughter of a saintly noble who runs Phenlory. She often spends her time being revered and praised for her kind and saintly nature, and is constantly coddled. Even though she's timid and doesn't believe she's capable of being strong, she realizes that she must do what she can to help those around her, even if she gets herself in trouble. In love with Leon.
✨Angeline (She/Her)
Son of one of the lead aristocrats of Nowtuol. Nowtuol is known for its magical research, though Noah's family is more interested in the country's military. He however usually avoids discussions of violence in order to persue ancient mysteries, which fortunately gets him interested in a certain dangerous and mysterious cult.
🔮Noah(He/Him)
The runaway child of the head oligarch of Pakwil. They grew up seeing peace and love being spread throughout the country, and to see their father wish to turn it into a militaristic hell-scape fills them with rage. He now does what he can to rebel against to rebel against his father and hopefully bring peace back to the country. Although, they do seem to dislike the idea of actually running their country,and would to let someone else have that responsibility.
🌪️Wulf(They/He)
Crown prince of Ampherous. A jovial and sly lad, he has a number of schemes up his sleeve, like protecting good hearted bandits as long as they protect the country, and giving some of his wealth to those in need. One of his most dangerous plans is to relieve his country of a curse, even if his father wishes to go along with it.
🏜️Shahriyar (He/Him)
Crown princess of Taliver. Her family and the royal family of Ampherous have been trying to get the two heirs to marry to resolve their negative issues. Instead of doing that, Leilana searches for other, more effective answers to peace. She spends her time cheerfully studying the arts and dance, as well as fending off bandits and monsters. A caring, but naïve idealist and pacifistic paragon.
🪷Leilana(She/Her)
Crown princess of Umbertala. She has seen the chaos of the continent, and decided that's he wants no part in it, secluding herself in the palace. She is quiet and often seems cold, but it's mostly because she doesn't trust those who aren't family. Has a strong sense of justice and defends those she deems trustworthy with her life.
