Noteworthy details about the first two PJOTV episodes (spoilers)

First of all, every single of them ATE DOWN. just wanted to throw that out there, i'm so so impressed with the cast, everyone was perfect and gorgeous and i'm completely sat for any and all future installments. A fine piece of media. Let's begin.

Percy's confusion and bewilderment finding out that he's a demigod. "You fell in love with God.... like, Jesus????" LMFAO but seriously his frustration in this moment, thinking there's something actually wrong with his brain, feeling lost and confused and hurt and BROKEN. the struggle in that moment is so relatable to people discovering they have some sort of mental illness or neurodivergence, especially when they weren't believed/listened to etc and i think walker played this part beautifully

GROVER AND PERCY PLAYING MYTHOMAGIC TOGETHER. GROVER AND PERCY PLAYING MYTHOMAGIC TO TRAIN PERCY. I AM LITERALLY SCREAMING OFF ROOFTOPS THE IMPLICATIONS THAT THIS HAS???? ARE YOU ACTUALLY JOKING??????? IMAGINE SEASON 3 PERCY FINDS NICO AND THEY HAVE THIS IN COMMON???????????!?!?!?!?!? FEELING SEVERELY FRANTIC AND MASSIVELY UNWELL ABOUT THIS

luke's empathy towards Percy throughout-- his apologies for what happened to his mother at the bottom of Half Blood Hill, him telling P that he relates to the nightmares, the restlessness, the ADHD..... so fucking sick and fucking twisted, I will be sobbing at the ending, gorgeous job on both ends on making this relationship feel very warm and authentic and the trust starting to build. this will H U R T.

CLARISSE. she's so gorgeous and vindictive. Her beauty took me off guard initially, but she's such a spiteful little badass that I completely fell in love with her. I CANNOT WAIT to see more of her characterization, especially into season two. perfection.

Percy burning the blue jelly beans- the thing he'd miss most- out in the middle of the woods at night in a damn can, just to pray to his MOTHER. *sobbing intensifies* i couldn't ask for a more sweet, heartfelt, honest moment. the perfect addition. 10s across the board

Percy's ANGER. OH BOY this was one of my most favorite parts. I feel like we see Percy as a very happy-go-lucky kid altogether but I loved, LOVED to see his frustration and agitation from the very beginning. Everything is so confusing and foreign and all he knows is that 1. he's been betrayed or left behind by everyone he knows and 2. he's been ignored his whole life by his godly parent. His mission is to MAKE HIS DAD SEE PERCY, at ANY COST. Before he even knows who his dad is. He is entitled to feel ALL of this anger and hurt and resentment!!!!!!!

Annabeth calling Percy "sunshine". TOTAL CULTURAL RESET. I gasped. The dawn of a new age of Percabeth. I will be screaming into my pillow about this for the foreseeable future.

The entire characterization of Percy throughout the capture the flag scene. His contrast of being just a kid- flossing (lol), peeing the woods, petting a gecko, just vibing and hanging out VS. being thrown suddenly into attack from his peers that don't care about the rules, surprising himself and everyone around him with his finesse in battle, quick instincts, swordsmanship..... i'm weak fr. I can't wait to see him grow, train, become stronger and more confident.

Overall, I'm entirely floored and beyond happy. I can't wait to see more. 10/10

Episode 7 Pat : To lose or not to win that is the question

Okay I saw a post talking about how episode 7 pat "loses the bet everyday" and how in this rooftop scene...

Pat raises the stakes (asking pran to confess in public) to keep Pran from saying the words just then (knowing he won't take that option) is making me feel and think a lot of things and now my brain is all over the place and i might as well just all note it down here or i won't have peace of mind.

At the outset i want to confess that eventhough i know that the bet has been for pran's sake i still viewed at as a legitimate competition that both pat and pran were trying to win, but i'm realising more and more how (for a large part of the bet) that just wasn't the case at all.

Pat came all the way from Bangkok to the hostile architecture trip alone only and only for Pran. Pat wants to be with him. Pran knows that and Pat knows that Pran knows that. He hasn't tried to hide it at all.

Pat knows that Pran has feelings for him, Pran knows that Pat knows that. But he also isn't ready to admit what it would entail and the familiarity of competition between them allows him to explore that.

"Whoever falls in love first loses" - when both of them know that they have feelings for each other, is hilaaaarious on first watch, but once you've rewatched it countless times and reached a whole new level of brain rot where your blood cells have p cells embedded within p cells in them then it isn't funny, it isn't funny at all * screams into a pillow *

Coming back to the bet, and what it actually means which is that whoever admits it(their feelings) first, loses. And all of us including pat and pran know that pat has already lost. Him coming to the trip just to get Pran to talk and his confession that he actually didn't like Ink 'like that' is all pointing to just one very obvious thing.

So Pat has already lost and yet they're both entering into the bet as if on equal ground. Pat could (and is very much willing to) keep losing over and over again, he very clearly wants to be with Pran but he would keep the charade of the bet up if it meant Pran wasn't ready.

Which means that the entire time that they were teasing and flirting with each other, all throughout episode 7, pat keeps on losing just for Pran's sake.

Do you realise how absolutely insanely madly crazy (mature) in love Pat is???? This might be a childish bet to YEW but to him its a space for Pran (and him) to explore their feelings without the responsibility of a relationship on them, it's actually revolutionary.

Kinda like killing with kindness, which basically sums up the kinda guy Pat is when he's with Pran.

"Don't force me to" he says in response to Pran's "You're just not brave to" (confess) when all of us know Pat is very well brave enough to do that and that is exactly what Pat is reiterating here. He's saying "you very well know why i'm partaking in this charade don't act like you don't i could kiss your competitive ass right now but im not doing it cos i want you to (admit that you) want it".

The man is basically losing (coming over to play and then offering to clean pran's face cos he looked upset screams somebody who wants to win real bad right hahahah NOT *argh pat can you not be so unreally sweet people have to go back to their real lives with real men to be disappointed by*) over and over again asking Pran to "just let me love you, you dork".

Here Pat is literally doing the confession, the very thing they started the bet stating, "i'll make you beg on your knees for me", well he's almost doing the next best thing, and he's doing it willingly, in front of people, with the most genuine smile on his face.

And when he raises the stakes on the rooftop and he does it entirely for Pran again. As much as he wants to be with Pran he equally wants it to be when Pran is ready for it. Not for it to be a decision he is forced or boxed into. He doesn't want to beat Pran he wants Pran to walk into the loss like he himself did, over and over again, because that's just the kinda guy he is.

Boy basically said if me winning the bet means you losing your chance to make that choice for yourself then i don't want that kinda win.

Which is why he's been willingly giving up all the chances to win throughout the episode, but continuing to put up the charade of the bet cos 1. yeah ofc its loads of fun teasing pran and he is so grateful he gets to be close to him again but more importantly 2. he can't (but he is fully willing to) wait for Pran to mentally be ready to get into a relationship.

"As for me, when i have a lover, I always let my lover win" - And truer truths haven't been told. Man has been losing since the very beginning. And that too happily. He is only doing it to give Pran the time that he deserves to process the whole thing and accept his love.

See even here he isn't expecting Pran to confess his love and sweep the whole bet thing away.

Look at Pat pausing trying to figure out what Pran is doing here. I can almost hear the cogs in his brain turn, until the very moment that Pran extends his hand to wipe the stray piece of rice away and then gives him that look. The look that says, "I love you, i'm done making you wait, thankyou, i love you".

So to conclude, Pat like the simp he is entered the bet (and kept willfully losing) only to make Pran comfortable. And literally the first moment that he completely feels comfortable, Pran gives in.

This whole post is borne out of my thoughts after i read what was said in here.

Nate is really one of the most interesting characters to me, because his character begs the question: what happens when your life gets better but you’re still not happy?

Because we see how Nate is in the beginning. We root for him and we love the attention that he gets and how he gets his time to shine. Ted’s methods clearly work for a lot of the characters, it has its merit, and Nate (at first) is no exception. He’s promoted to being a coach, he’s getting attention, the team is also improving so they’re being kinder and everything is better now, right?

Except in season 2 (and 3!) we see the cracks - in Nate, but for all the coaches, really, because ironically the coaches who are mentoring the players and telling them to believe are also the ones we see struggling with that mentality the most. Beard’s one of Ted’s strongest supporters, his right-hand man, but we see in Beard’s episode how deep his depression and self-hatred run. Roy isn’t exactly screaming Ted’s methods from the rooftops, but we see how he slowly accepts it and appreciates it, and how it does help him - but he struggles with finding his purpose and feeling wanted and needed, and it shines in quitting things early and never getting proper closure in things he really loved, with him constantly wondering if he ever really made the best choice (his team, his job, his relationship with Keeley). Ted struggles to express these negative emotions and it spirals quickly, especially in season 2.

And Nate? Nate watches as his life objectively gets better, but struggles because his anger and resentment don’t go away. He gets the attention from Ted but (even though it’s not the intention!) feels as if Ted drops him the second things improve. He gets a better job but his father will never say he’s proud. He tries to exude confidence but Jade (who’s most likely seen him for a while since it’s his favorite restaurant) immediately sees through through his persona and Doesn’t Care and Nate is so thrown off by it. He keeps looking for that validation through other people and we see that clear frustration because everything is better on paper so then why are the bad feelings still there? With every win, with every improvement, he gets angrier and more frustrated and then it spirals into him leaving for West Ham and Rupert. With Rupert, Nate leans in on hey, nobody loved me at my lowest and nobody loved me at my best, so maybe I’ll try being my worst.

And god, I LOVE that even though fans thought he’d fail and that this would humble him into a redemption, he hasn’t. He tries to go with Rupert and get that validation from him and we see how much he struggles with that, because now he’s leaning in at what Rupert wants and we see how much he hates that, but Nate’s also at a point where Rupert’s attention is clearly conditional, he’s still not getting that fatherly validation, and he knows that and that’s where we see him finally start to come into his true self. Jade finally softens because she sees Nate holding strong to his opinion on Taste of Athens and admitting he’s putting on an act, he’s being honest and himself for the first time in those scenes. He tries to cultivate a relationship with the other employees and even if the Diamond Dogs ripoff didn’t work? They still invited him to drinks this episode! He sees Rupert for who he is and he goes back to Jade, and he wants so, so much to apologize to Ted for everything.

Nate’s moved from a positive environment to this conditional one and the narrative could have easily went “Nate has crashed and burned and now realizes what he messed up” but instead it allowed Nate to figure out who he is and who he wants to be, by himself. He’s still growing and learning, of course, but he’s well on his way, and I think it’s just such a cool way to show that what’s helpful for some people can be incredibly detrimental for others if it doesn’t target what they need and that there’s so many avenues for a person to grow and improve themselves.

🍿Guilty pleasure series: i guess it would be Cause You're My Boy (My Tee) because everyone hates on it but I binged it and had a good time 🤷‍♀️ also I Will Knock You cause it has some questionable elements but it's also very special

❎Most underrated series: out of what I've seen it would obviously be Rainbow Lagoon but it's two episodes, not sure if it counts as a series.. really sweet short watch though, you should give it a try here 🥰

Drop your Lois Lane hot takes

(also if you're not a Superman fan, what would you recommend starting off with?)

So MAWS Lois Lane very pointedly has some significant character flaws, generally justified by her backstory and often the opposite side of the conventional "positive" Lois Qualities that she exhibits. Trust issues stemming from her canon-typical dysfunction with her father, upstream of her whole truth-to-power thing. Self-esteem issues and a sense of inadequacy, upstream of her tenacity and singleminded pursuit of her goals. Downstream from her self-esteem issues you've got a sensitivity to perceived betrayal or the idea that people are only pretending to value her. Self-assurance and confidence... that manifests as bouts of myopic thinking or lack of consideration for others. There's a level on which I like this more than S:TAS- she was fun in that, but the purpose there wasn't to give her any kind of arc. She's much more dynamic in this, she has a palpable crisis, and it all combines into a perfect cocktail demonstrating why she reacts so very, very badly to being out of the loop on Superman. In her position it's not insane to assume that Clark expressed interest in her just to jerk her around and sabotage her investigation more thoroughly. But in practice... I (and those watching with me, who joined me in screaming at the TV a bunch during the last couple episodes) felt that the narrative was both-sidesing the dynamic a bit uncomfortably, because Clark has very good reason to not trust Lois specifically with sensitive information. Their first interaction involved her manipulating him for the sake of advancing her career. She's been screaming from the rooftops that she dislikes Superman, wants to expose Superman's secrets, and he was on the verge of coming clean with her before that came up. She functionally threatens to kill herself to force him to out himself, right after he got back from the government (and very likely her father specifically!) trying to assassinate him. Very little of this was coherently voiced when they're having it out, and as a result it felt like the narrative was much more sympathetic to Lois's stance than Clarks, treating his concealing the information as the root of the problem here. And when Jimmy brings up that he's known for years but understood that it was probably a deeply personal situation that Clark would bring up when he was comfortable- that's not a catalyst for introspection about whether Lois is entitled to the information, it isn't used as the point to push the idea that both parties have valid motivations here. It's mostly just the catalyst for another gag where now Jimmy is upset that Clark told Lois first (without. You know. the context.) I walked away thinking that Clark doesn't have a disproportionate amount to apologize for in this situation. Not nothing, but not the brunt. The reconciliation arc really breezed past the fact that she threw herself off a building to force the issue. Any relationship where throwing yourself off a building is a tool in the toolbox seems like it might be on shaky ground, communicatively!

The thing is, well, honestly there's a few things. I'm willing to accept off the bat that I might be lily-orcharding a perfectly unobjectionable creative decision to some extent, because by default I'm really biased in favor of anyone trying to keep deeply compromising information about their identities away from their loved ones for fear of their negative reaction, and that's coloring the intensity of my negative response. Another thing is that I think the show is kind of a victim of the megashort season runs of contemporary cartoons- I mean we'll be lucky if we get 30 episodes of this show total, every arc is gonna be at least somewhat pinched when you get 10 episodes and change per season. And a third, final thing is that the season isn't over yet, and they've left themselves with a great springboard from which to address my misgivings.

Clark leans into the idea that he's the one at fault, begs forgiveness, and so on, but that's actually in character for this version; given that one of his biggest drives is to be accepted, it makes sense that he'd do whatever he thought he had to get things smoothed out as quickly as possible, even if there's still a lot going unaddressed below the surface. And Episode 7 (6?) is basically entirely about how Lois's character flaws, scaled up and appended to power, can turn out really really bad. Kryptonite is introduced in this continuity by a bunch of alternate-universe Lois Lanes who try to kill Superman without giving him the benefit of the doubt- all while never expressly communicating to anyone that the root of their concern is how badly things went with their own Supermen. Lois meets an army of herself and immediately, correctly assumes that they aren't on the up-and-up, that they're holding something back. And the episode ends with her in possession of both a Superman-killing tool and information engineered to set off her well-established paranoid tendencies about Clark.

So if the show is being smart- and there's a very good chance that it is- the next leg is going to be about how for a superhero, just being open about your secret identity to your loved ones isn't necessarily going to be enough to defuse the underlying tensions and failures to communicate; the fact that they really speed-ran the reconciliation is going to turn out to be deliberate, a bandaid fix on the deeper problem, and a much worse reckoning is in the pipes once it becomes obvious that Task Force X is headed by her estranged father. (Which seems like the twist they're going for with that- they've never said the general's name out loud, so I think they're going for a fakeout where we all assume it's Wade Eiling but it turns out to actually be Sam Lane.) However. I've definitely watched a bunch of shows where I kept going "If the show is smart," "If the show is smart," and then the show wasn't smart, and it just turned out that the writers themselves hadn't chewed on the implications of what they were depicting as much as I had. I've got high hopes, though.

Also I did not do a between 8 and 9 update but I totally guessed Dan was the officer who shot Seans dad.

GMMTV does such good foreshadowing and pay off I feel so satisfied and excited by every reveal.

We have two heartbroken girls that I really hope we spend more time on cause they have been amazing characters so far. Namo took finding out about Sean and White so well and then she was so sad ugh.

and then Eugene also struggling with her dance routine because she's confused/heartbroken about Black

I'm so curious how that Black/Eugene/Gram triangle may play out now that Black's awake, I mean he still broke up with Eugene because he wanted her safe, and now he's nearly died I doubt that will change...

I have more thoughts on Black but lets back track to Plot again for a minute

Sean and Tawi face off in the bathroom happened

[Tawi telling Sean: Your dad sold drugs and I had nothing to do with him]

Oh and Todd was trying to get back on track with figuring out what the gang is up too in episode 8

Plus at the end of Ep 9 everyone was being followed...Oh and Sean is now spying on Tawi? Although not a whole lot of actual spying seemed to be happening...

Now I know that Tawi is also big coorporation here but I now have no idea how much of all this is just Todd or is Todd working for/with Tawi? That seems like the most likely scenario but I don't know for sure.

How much was Tawi actually involved in the drug trafficking that Seans father was involved in?

And when/how will Sean find out that officer Dan is the one who shot him? I can already picture the explosion.

And as much as I want (so very desperately) to watch the next episodes. I am also kind of grateful that I have to stop. Because this is SUCH A GOOD POINT to sit and imagine at.

How will Black and White be revealed to their friends? To Sean? To Euguene to everyone. What about Black and Whites parents? Are they going to come back into the story?

(OMG Black's mum, who White is 100% going to meet in his place next ep, will he meet her as White? Or pretend to be Black??)

Also Black's gotta feel betrayed about Todd too. Oh and Paprika's point about Black and White being thought and action, will we get to see them come together now, despite how much Black want's White to stay out of it? Is White going to meet the friends AS WHITE?? (I am dying to have Sean see him all put together with his glasses on). The emotional pay off that I can feel coming is so good, are they going to be shocked and betrayed? are they going to finally understand? I honestly have no idea and I want to know SO MUCH.

But I also just want to sit in this anticipation a little bit longer and let my imagination run wild. Looking forward to it all coming together

what makes me want to scream about young dracula from the rooftops is the character of malik and the theme of family (and how it leads to his death). malik is introduced and we slowly kinda see that all he really wants it to be loved, his mum doesnt seem to show him love or affection (literally mocking him for being upset when she put him in a position where he could have died) and even though he says to his mum he wants to get close to the count to carry out their plan, throughout the season he clearly just wants a dad and someone to love him.

there's a scene that I really like where him and ingrid are in the bar and it goes like this

ingrid: why are you hanging around vlad?

malik: because

ingrid: nobody loves you, and you’ve no better place to be.

and he responds, “actually I do”, before leaving referring only to the fact that he has somewhere else to go and not denying no one loves him. so thats heartbreaking. then he spends the season trying, and actually succeeding getting his dads attention (dont know about love) before being forced to leave.

then, s5, he comes back with a kid (asan) and its obvious theyve formed a father-son type bond. like he is the only person malik seems to genuinely protect/care for without an ulterior motif. the season develops, he finds out he’s not a dracula which means the one father figure he had is not related to him and his mums been lying to him his whole life.

and he has another heartbreaking episode where he just spirals about never having a dad and turns to asan in the end, to kill the Draculas but Ramanga ends up using him, because of his relation to vlad. but because hes not related, it kills him. the man was murdered by his greatest insecurity, that he never had a family (and no one loved him). he died alone.

Jesus Christ this was a kids show

I'm really curious (sorry if you answered this question before), but do you see canon Klaus doing the same kind of things FE Klaus does?

Yes, absolutely.

FE is my unvarnished interpretation of the characters, as they were presented in the earlier seasons of the show. The entire plot of FE is even taken from a scenario Klaus himself voices: he declares in 3x05 "what I want is to take my girl, take my hybrid, and get out of this one pony town." Obviously he wants to kidnap her in order to use her for her blood. The whole thing about wanting to make sure Elena settles down with a mortal to bear children and continue her bloodline is taken from his stated intentions in the episode "The Dinner Party," also season 3. Please keep in mind that I started working on FE when season 3 was first airing, so the characterizations are GREATLY taken from that era. So, when I was first working on this fic, Klaus had no canon romances save for what we saw of his affair with Katerina in 1492. Lines like "love is a vampire's greatest weakness" had huge influence over how I envisioned him-- and the fact that his early characterizations bear this out only added fuel to the fire. Wondering things like, why use Jenna in the sacrifice??? and speculating on his psychology all fanned the flames. I saw him as emotionally cowardly, and vengeful, but also, that there was no line he would not cross. That's the fun thing about writing Klaus. If I'm trying to figure out how he will respond to something, the worst and most dramatic possibility is OBVIOUSLY the answer. Whenever I wonder if I should dial it back, I think about that time in the season 4 Christmas special when he slaughtered all of his hybrids in a mad rage and then drowned Carol Lockwood and I go LOL NO Klaus is going to Klaus, I might as well let him go as far as he wants to go.

As for other various things-- like, I think the tv show had various constraints as a teen tv show-- a lot is implied in tvd but not explicitly stated because the show couldn't. It wasn't on HBO. So, while there is a weird amount of gore (heads falling off shoulders, hearts ripped out of chests), the sex stuff is all pretty tame. I have to assume the debauchery (and the viciousness of the gore) would all be dialed up without those censorship limits-- they're vampires. Like, Stefan is called "ripper." What does that mean? What are their habits? what are their cavalier attitudes about human life?

So, for me, when I watch tvd, I absolutely do interpret it as "oh, Stefan and Klaus were fucking in the season 2-season 3 hiatus, and Rebekah is obviously incestually invovled with Klaus and in a threesome with him and Stefan"-- the subtext is there and is just too strong a vibe to interpret it otherwise, for me. But the network wasn't going there. The spiciest sex dynamic they were willing to imply was a Rebekah x Sage x Damon threesome; which, ffm is just not that big of a deal on American tv; I doubt the show would have ever gone for a mmf threesome, let alone an incestuous one, let alone with their male romantic lead (and the woman isn't even the heroine). Like, mainstream network tv just isn't going to jump into that, even though this dynamic is basically screaming itself from the rooftops.

Uhhhh and do I think Klaus would fall in love with Elena?

I mean, to me it seems like the obvious ship, which is why I keep writing about it?

I am not one to let the fact that Elena has so many love interests stop me from adding in more or seeing the potential for more.

And one of the main goals of FE was to try to write this ship as I think it would realistically play out: this is why it is so slow, and painful, and full of so many set backs.

It's the sort of ship that sets fire to everything around it and then, MAYBE, some sapling will grow out of the scorched earth.

(Well, I say maybe. Yes. Definitely some young green shoot is going to burst out of this and turn into a majestic ship tree. Or something.)

It's first time ever I post something on Tumblr and I probably won't do it ever again, but this idea kinda stuck with me, so here you go, dp x dc prompt.

Danny is on a family trip in some hero adjacent city (preferably not Gotham, as much as I love Batpham fics, let's give others time to shine). It would be a great chance to rest if ghosts knew and respected words "free time." They don't, so he has to constantly fly back and forth between Amity and wherever he is. He doesn't know how to make portals yet, so he spends quite a lot of time on transportation alone, and then he fights and goes back ASAP, because as much as he can always count on Jazz to cover for him and the fact that Fentons aren't most observant, at some point they have to realise if he didn't pop up from time to time.

So now, he is running like a third day without so much as five minutes to sleep, purely on caffeine and spite, just got this okay looking sandwich from petrol station and strongest coffee he could buy and eat/drink in some secluded place (rooftop, abounded building, some really quiet alley, you know), right before he has to return to his family and act like he had nice night sleep and isn't "the Phantom menace" his parents are always threatening to post mortem murder AND THIS RANDOM PIGEON DARES TO TRY TO STEAL HIS FOOD!!!

Yes, he proceeds to yell at the pigeon because ✨️misplaced aggression✨️

He rants about his life right when local hero is near enough to hear him and just is like "You ok kid?"

They're not even too surprised hearing news about ghost (I mean, there is Deadman and also they probably had seen weirder), but still this boy shouldn't be the only one handling it (how old is he anyway, thirteen?). Oh, he isn't alone in it, ok, that's good. He has two friends (without powers or training) and two years older sister and not even his parents are in the know about his hero gig, well that's bad, gotta help him somehow.

From here, there are two ways it can go (at least I thought about these two)

1. Danny let's out one (1) scream of absolute terror and vanishes from the sight (especially if hero is in costume)

2. He proceeds to yell at the hero, because there is so much steam he has to let out and you know ✨️misplaced aggression✨️ once again (probably would work best if chosen hero was in civies, on their way grocery shopping or something)("There is no way this random civilan will belive me I may as well just continue" Danny Fenton, probably)

This is how Justice Legue lears about Amity (maybe because no one in Amity ever called because "Phantom can handle it" and Danny really didn't want to handle possessed heroes, I like this headcannon)

It can also start when Danny screams at someone's pet, but I don't know enough about dc to tell who would fit (I literally know it only from fanfics. This tag fanfics). Like, I know Damian Wayne is supposed to have a thing for animals, there are Klarion with Teekl (though they may not be the ones Danny would like to meet at the moment) and I think Captain Marvel/ Shazam had some connections with a tiger? But like, I don't think Danny would scream at tiger. I don't know, though. I've seen only a few episodes of the show, but he as well could just do it.

Idk, I just really want to see Danny full on screaming at the pigeon. And a hero. Take it from here, I'm really curious how someone who knows more about these fandoms (and English, it's not my mother tongue, I hope my brain hadn't gone "ah yes, it sounds similar, 'day' is how 'they' is supposed to be written" or something like that anywhere in this post) handles it. Who would even fit?

favorite episode(s) Whenever i watch/rewatch bad buddy i tend to binge it so i can never distinguish betweens episodes lol. In general, ep 12 is definitely one of my favs because i feel like it ties things up nicely and i like seeing them happy :) i can probably give a better answer for favourite scene...

favorite scene(s) ...which is why it's great that this is the next question!

In no particular order: the staircase proposal scene, the bus stop roleplaying scene, the post-curtain bench hand holding scene (specifically that one face pat/ohm makes which imo is the single most most heartbreaking frame in the entire show), the ep 12 post-credits scene (wait was it actually post-credits, i don't remember ajksdjf), the screaming on the rocks at the zero-waste village scene, and the rooftop kiss (ofc)

Basically i just like to see them happy (most of the time) :)

one thing you would change about the show if you could the whole making-it-up-to-wai arc was not it for me. WHY was pran the one apologising and going after him??? still makes me mad to this day, but i think i'd have a lot more animosity towards wai if ep 12 didn't exist (also all the wai redemption arcs in fanfics have made me warm up to him :P)

You are Never Far (A Very Special Solar Opposites Episode)

Raindrops falling. People freaking out. Footsteps running. Tears runs down Korvo’s cheek as he tearfully heads towards the family’s house breaking down.

SLAM!

A door slam was heard by Terry, only to gasp once he got a text from one of his friends. Phoebe was playing with the Pupa until she notices Korvo crying in tears. Korvo made it to the room in tears as he breaks down emotionally.

How did it happened? What happened was earlier Korvo was having a spat one of the most hateful neighbors of all time, Roxy. Roxy keeps on telling him how much he is a nuisance to his family and always have been. But that is when she pushes him too far.

“Will stop thinking about your family and go use on your help for once? They don’t like you!’

‘You don’t understand what we have been through! Our life is enough love as it! You’re just being selfish Roxy!”

(screaming) “THEN TELL ME ABOUT, YOU FUCKING CUNT?!

Korvo violently snaps and gives Roxy as brutal massive blood shedding beat down as Roxy screams in horror, which attracted a lot of humans. Korvo stopped after seeing Yumyulack and Jesse walking and saw him in shock and horror.

Terror spread around the crowds’ faces as they backed away from Korvo’s massive meltdown as tears threaten to burst as he growls at Roxy one more time and runs off in crying his eyes out.

“Wait, hold on-“

Sadly, Roxy was arrested and forced to be sentence to four months of house arrest for her brutal treatment on Korvo. The crowd ultimately looked at her with burning anger and outrage disgust as they can help but feel disdain over what she has done to Korvo.

How could she do that? What is her problem? She had no right to do that to a coping alien.

That night, Terry was sleeping on his bed until he heard something on the roof. He turns and to his horror, sees Korvo ready to jump off. Screams were heard as Phoebe got up and alerted the kids. The kids were terrified once they see an asleep sobbing Korvo about to fall of the roof.

Yumyulack: Korvo! Have you lost your fucking mind?

Jesse: What the fuck are you doing?

Pupa: *gasp in sadness*

Phoebe: What’s wrong with him Terry?

Terry suddenly sees panic muscles beating on Korvo’s shoulders. Realizing what is happening to Korvo, Terry rushes up on the rooftop and catches Korvo in his arms safely on the ground.

Inside, Phoebe then made tea for Korvo, who appears to be in a shock state. The Replicants, Pupa and Terry watches in worry.

Jesse: Korvo, come on please talk to us.

Yumyulack: Eh, I’m sure he’ll bounce back.

Jesse: Yumyulack! Yumyulack: What?! It’s true!

Phoebe: Easy there kids, I’m sure your adult is gonna be okay. He is gonna be just fine.

Suddenly, Korvo started to move but instead, he emotionally burst into tears as he started to have a panic attack. Terry gasp in shock as Phoebe helps the Replicants and Pupa back away in worry and concern.

Terry: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Hey! Heal Korvo! It’s okay!

Korvo: No, it’s not. *breathing frantically* I can’t take this dark world anymore. I don’t deserve anyone. I’m just a total jackass who always ruin everyone’s lives and make a mess of things. I can’t take it anymore, my rage, my skin condition, my whole life on Earth. I just hate myself! You guys….you guys are better off without me…….

Korvo breaks down in tears as he hunch over his knees and started to goobler. Terry, seeing his hurt and struggling his Korvy is, brings him in a hug followed by Phoebe, the kids and the Pupa as Korvo began to weep silently.

Terry: *rubbing Korvo’s back soothingly* Shhh…. It’s okay Korvy, I’m here.

Phoebe MacCarthy: We all are.

Jesse: Oh Korvo.

Yumyulack: We’re really sorry Roxy said that stuff to you. But that is not true.

Terry: Korvo, you do matter to us. You’re our mission leader. You have so much life to live for. You kept us in check, you take great care of the Replicants, you do well with manuals and other stuff, but out of all that, you do care about us and you are our family Korvo! We don’t wanna be without you, you matter so much to us. You’re my Korvy and always will be. We’re gonna get you help Korvo. I promise. It’s gonna be okay.

Korvo continues to weep as his family continue to comfort him. After so much solace, Korvo has never been so overwhelmed by the love his worker husband in crime, Replicants, Pupa and family nanny as he continues to shed a few tears.

Three weeks later, Korvo has enter therapy which has helped him get better and receives some consulting over anxiety and trauma. Things were back to normal. But, Korvo, after spending 4 years on Earth, felt like crying again because he had no idea how much trauma he faced and how overwhelmed he was all this time because he wanted to leave this planet. Suddenly, all he sees now is his Terry smiling at him, knowing how much consoling his boyfriend needs right now. Instantly, Terry puts his arms around Korvo as he let it all out, but this time, safe in his sweetheart’s arms.

It’s okay Korvy. It’s okay……

Note: This fanfic was inspired by a real life anxiety I am facing evacuee so much changes and newfound responsibilities I have to do right now, because I have to be more independent and reliable for my family. But, it was all because I was facing the new responsibilities of being a responsible young adult. I hope this help other people too. I love you guys so much, goodnight

I watched it from the start, but somewhere around episode 3 I started actively looking into the fandom and by the end of ep4 I was already in a discord group and writing my first fanfiction. The rest, as they say, is history XD

As much as I love episode 5, episode 3 is probably the episode I’ve watched the most haha I just love watching Pran coming out of his shell (even if he does get crushed in the very next episode T-T)

favourite scene(s)

The Rooftop comes in at number 1 every time, but also the fight in front of the apartment block just before it, the bus stop scene and guitar scene in ep3, the balcony scene in ep8, the bedroom scene in ep9, so many scenes in ep11, and everything after Pran turns up at the apartment in ep12. Serotonin factories every one.

one thing you would change about the show if you could

I’d have liked Pat’s anger in episode 7 to have been dealt with a bit more definitely but they pulled it back by giving it proper consideration in episode 11. Honestly I would have also loved more flashbacks to their pre-transfer era as well as a little more on Icy Pat, but I understand why we didn’t get them.

what are your some of your favourite fanworks made by other people?

This is a difficult one for me! So I actually did a list of my favourite bad buddy edits here and also fanfics here and here plus I’m pretty sure I did another, but can I find them? No. So I’m gonna add to this by saying also anything by @miscellar (aworkingprinter on AO3).

Some of my own favourites? Well, that’s trickier haha! Probably A Fine Line Between Hormones and Home, The Space Pirate and the Officer of the Law and, just because it was my first fanfic in the fandom, He’s No Romeo.

a song that makes you think of bbs (the ones in the show don’t count lol)

Pancakes for Dinner by Lizzy McAlpine always makes me think of pining Pran, Heather by Conan Gray also gives huge Pran in episode 4/5 vibes. Alas I can’t think of one that screams Pat though I know I have thought that about songs before. No doubt I’ll be listening to a playlist tomorrow and be like “oh yeah, this one!”

So out of the 494,256 words I’ve written on AO3 over an 11 year period, 426,682 of them were written in the last 3 years and all for the Bad Buddy fandom. If that doesn’t encapsulate both my obsession and love of this show, I don’t know what does haha
