About why Sasuke left the leaf village

So I was just thinking, and I realize that not a lot of people talk about this specific reason so I wanted to write about it. I'm not very good at organizing my thoughts, so this may be very messy.

So, there are a lot of reasons as to why sasuke left konoha in part 1, and I'm not saying that any others are wrong, because it was a combination of many things. However I haven't seen many people explain this reason specifically so I wanted to bring attention to it and talk about it.

As many people have acknowledged, itachi is one of the main reasons sasuke left konoha. I want to expand on that, and some other this as well. This will probably very quickly turn into a rant.

Okay, so:

Imagine you are sasuke.

Imagine your brother kills your entire clan and still gets to roam free.

Imagine you are sasuke, who is basically being held hostage in a village who doesn't give a shit about him.

Now imagine the fear you have that your brother will come back to the village and finish you off, or take someone else from you or take everyone from you again. (I know it doesn't explicitly state that he has this fear in canon, but I need to say this to explain.)

Now think about it; how that fear was proven rational when he does come back to the village to try and kidnap your best friend.

You no longer feel safe inside the village and realize that you have not gotten any stronger, which is proven when your brother beats you and tortures you like he did when you were 7.

This further motivates you to get much stronger so you can kill him and finally be safe. (not saying that he will be 100% safe, but I'm trying to make you think like sasuke, and in his mind this is rational.)

And then you fight your best friend who you realize has gotten much stronger as well, further proving in your mind that you have gotten weaker. Your friend pulls out his strongest attack against you, so you pull out yours to counter.

Your teacher ties you to a tree for pulling your strongest attack against your friend when your friend is off the hook without so much as a warning.

Your teacher refuses to understand you and even dares to call you lucky after everything that has happened to you and your worst fears confirmed.

He leaves you tied to a tree where you are manipulated by sound ninja who attack you and try and kidnap you (essentially.)

Okay so basically everything I just said was trying to put into perspective everything that happened leading up to sasuke leaving the village (his kidnapping) and yeah. I really wanted to say how orochimaru basically kidnapped him, okay? Seriously. Just because a child follows a kidnapper because they offer candy, (power), does not make it not still kidnapping. Honestly the sound ninja manipulated sasuke to follow them to his kidnapper and I've been thinking about this for a long time, and it still feels like a kidnapping to me, okay? Also it wasn't even really of his own free will, as orochimaru put a curse mark on him to manipulate him into searching for more power, he even said that sasuke would seek him out. Though ultimately he did choose to go, still you don't blame a child for following a stranger who offers them candy, you blame the stranger trying to kidnap them (obviously it's not always going to be a kidnapping in real life but I just needed a way to explain how this was a kidnapping.)

Okay I'm sorry for all of this though and my writing was really fucking bad here but I don't really care since I just needed to write some thoughts. Also I realize that a lot of you probably disagree with this, and that's okay since the way I wrote this was really bad at explaining what I wanted to explain and seems pretty exaggerated, even to me. Also some of the details are probably wrong as well, but I just hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Even so, even I disagree with some of the things I said and the way they were written, I just didn't know any other way to explain it. Naruto can be interpreted in many different ways, so this probably could seem to you like it's not really sasuke, and you wouldn't really be wrong, because he is a complex character who can be interpreted in many different ways. I don't disagree with any other opinions, I just wanted to share my view and I would love to hear your takes on it.

Anyway it did become long at the end and not really planned out, so I'm sorry if it's hard to read but I tried my best to make it legible and yeah. I'm done here.

Also I'm not really sure if this is pro sasuke or anti konoha or what, since it's kinda just there. Uh- I'll figure it out.

I want to preface this post with the fact that I find Mileven completely adorable in seasons 1 & 2. They were truly at their peak and I adore them. I also absolutely love Dustin and Lucas. Now onto the post:

Dustin and Lucas make me so mad in s1 on behalf of Mike. Them telling Mike that he's practically obsessed and in love with El just because he missed one (1) day of school to help a kid who is their age and obv scared/in need of help, then kept her around because he thought she could help them find their missing friend... is insane to me.

I understand that they are kids, and that's why I don't really hold this against them... but it's so frustrating to watch from both a Mileven perspective and a Byler perspective. Mileven because they (or Mike at least) didn't get the chance to come to this conclusion on their own, he was basically forced to confront his newlyfound feelings in the middle of one of the worst times in his life. Byler because if Mike really does suffer from internalized homophobia omg did this mess him up even more. Like "oh, they think I like her so it must be true, right? Maybe I'm not so weird after all." type thinking was probably occurring.

Plus just the forced-ness of it all in general makes me uncomfy.

Watching Dustin say "all you ever wanna do is pay attention to her" as if it's a completely bad thing is so saddening to me, because yes, Mike really does care for El, but he's also so deadset on keeping her around and believing in her at that point because he knows she has a direct connection with Will.

Also Lucas's "El, will you marry me?" and Mike being so genuinely confused and annoyed by it is so telling to me. He was definitely not focused on his feelings for El, romantic or not, at that time! I don't see how he could be! His best friend is missing, he's known El for a couple days at least, and we know the Duffers don't believe in love at first sight (which doesn't mean they can't write it but still).

Idk, I know I'm not alone on this, but the whole situation just feels weird and slightly forced w/ romantic Mileven in s1.
