Cannot stress enough how sad I am that Boothill was made so pasty, because he’s so interesting in every aspect of his story and it would be better if some of those bits were more visible. They made his story to deliberately parallel America’s history with Native Americans, and he’s a cowboy which is a job that had mainly black and indigenous people in its heyday. It feels hollow to make the point of his story that colonialism and racism are bad, only to fall in line with those structures to whitewash him. Sure, it’s physically possible for Native Americans to pass that well (one of my closest native friends is pasty with blond hair and blue eyes) but it’s not typical, and we don’t have enough dark skinned rep in general. It comes off as lazy more than exploring the life of a mixed/passing character.

And I know it’s to be expected with Hoyo’s continued disregard for poc, but it doesn’t make it less frustrating every time they write a character to be poc then just. Don’t make the poc. HSR hasn’t added another dark skinned playable character since release and already has issues with roma representation, HI3 has… everything with Carole, and Genshin went through a whole saga of mostly pale people in the Middle East/Africa equivalent.

Please Hoyo I am begging you to for once let your bottom line be risked for poc rep the same way you’ve tried to with queer rep. If you can sneak lesbians and femboys in after being used as an example of what not to do by government censors, you can make Boothill at least a little tan. Being a Chinese company doesn’t suddenly let you off on the bear minimum. It feels like they wanna have their cake and eat it by using other cultures and histories without acknowledging the people who’s cultures and histories they are.

This isn’t coming from a hater. This is coming from a disappointed Hoyo player who has slowly come across all the ways Hoyo has fucked up in this department and who is getting tired of it. I want them to do better (even if I know they probably won’t) before I (and many other players) can no longer justify supporting them as players.

TIGHNARI / knee.

YOU fall to your knees, too exhausted from all the hours of following tighnari around in his ever indulgent research trip to take another step. you hiss in pain from the sting of your scraped kneecaps but try to keep it down, wanting so badly not to spoil his fun.

"We didn't see mushrooms this shade on our last journey here, how odd..Y/n, can you-" tighnari drops his pen and notebook when he sees you kneeling on the ground, covering your bleeding knees.

"Are you alright?! " he asks, panic clear in his voice as he rushes over and crouches down to check on you. "What happened? Are you in a lot of pain?" he sputters in a hurry, though he doesn't give you enough time to respond before hoisting you up and over his shoulder. "Let's get you home quickly and tend to you're wounds before it gets any worse!"

"But your research Tighna-"

"We'll finish it another day!"

BAIZHU / arm.

YOU avoid eye contact with baizhu as you feel around your newly bandaged arms. Taking a deep breath, you observe him putting away the bandages and supplies he used to patch you up.

"...You know, I did try to be careful." you try to explain, not wanting to sour the mood more than it was, but not being able to take the cold silence from the man you hold closest to your heart.

you don't regret what you did. someone needed to save qiqi from those hilichurls and even though you weren't the best at fighting, you couldn't have just sat there without helping.

you just hope that baizhu will stop giving you the silent treatment and understand your intentions.

he cares about her just as much as you do, if not more, so you know he isn't exactly mad at you, he barely ever gets upset with you. but, that did mean that he was probably very serious this time.

baizhu knows he can't stay angry at you forever but..he can't handle seeing you hurt in any way. what if you had gotten hurt worse than just a few deep scratches? the thought alone makes his heart turn sour.

"Zhu? "

"..."

"Zhu, please just talk to me."

you watch baizhu turn around to face you, crossing his arms before finally laying his somber honey eyes on you. he frowns before sighing and carefully bringing you into an embrace.

"I apologize. I know I shouldn't blame you...I know that but, it was just so difficult, seeing you like that. All the blood Y/n I-..I just couldn't-"

"I know, I know."

you whisper softly in his ear as he squeezes you a bit tighter, burying his face into your shoulder. he let's out a shaky breath as you rub his back in comfort.

"I'm just glad that you're okay."

I never posted this here, and I am posting this on main since it’s easier for me to answer ask instead of my side blogs but!!!

Hello hello~!!! My name is Nohr! I am a bunny vtuber that loves Honkai Impact 3rd!!! Me and My friend Vanity, his YouTube here, wanna work on doing a possible EN fan dub for Honkai Impact 3rd!

We have asked Twitter if people would be interested in it and would like to see such a project come to light. Due to the positive reception, we decided to go forth with this plan!!!

We opened a Google form for people to submit and me and him will organize everything!!! The form is currently open and will close on April 30th!!!

We would like to do Part One and Part Two, and if people and also the cast would like to do the manga, VN, and APHO/APHO 2 we will gladly attempt!!! # A/N NOTE : hopefully this was good, I struggled with this one for some reason.

ALHAITHAM / back.

"Alhaitham look out!" YOU say in a rush before pushing him out of the way of an ice blast from a fatui cryo mage. unfortunately, you aren't quick enough to dodge the attack yourself as you fall from the impact while the ice slowly freezes over your back and causes you to shake all over.

you two were just strolling in the capital after finishing a studious date that alhaitham planned out, although you hadn't cared for the books he read to you, you swore you could listen to that man talk about anything.

why did some fatui have to come and destroy the good day you were having?

"Y/n! " alhaitham shouts as he raises himself from the ground before dashing over to your shivering body. he can't bring himself to say another word with his heart racing as he watches the ice spread in horror, blood seeping from your skin. why would you do something so stupid! so reckless.

he can hear all the chaos going on around him but he only focuses on you as he tries to hold you up. you try to stop him though, swatting his hands away as it was too dangerous for him to touch you.

"I'll b-be okay," you rasped "d-don't touch-"

"Don't. Just let me help you." he snaps, cutting you off.

you become quiet at that and allow him to raise you up. you don't know what he can possibly do to help and get surprised when you feel him rip the icecicles growing on your back.

you whip your head around, ready to reprimand him but he narrows his eyes at you before shaking his head. it takes everything within you to retract what you're going to say as he picks you up and starts to run.

"W-Where are you t-taking m-"

"Somewhere hot."

you assume he's trying to get the ice to melt, though you don't know if that'll work against cryo magic, you trust that your stubborn genius of a partner will a find solution to cure you. putting your trust in him, you feel your consciousness start to slip away as you him speak one last time.

"Then," he growls "I'm gonna get rid of that fatui."

KAVEH / mouth.

KAVEH stays silent, feeling like such an idiot as tears slide down his eyes while looking down at your unconscious figure.

kaveh was always protective of, some may even say a little too much, but when you approached him saying you wanted to drink alcohol for the first time, he obliged.

he always wanted to drink with you but anytime he wanted to go out to do so, you would either define to join or not drink anything at all. so of course he was happy and brought you along with him to diluc's quaint bar.

before long, you settled on a simple glass of wine and you both had a wonderful time. he made sure not to get drunk that time around since one of you would need to stay sober to make it home.

it's just, he hadn't thought that some unscrupulous disguised gangster would be an opportunist to cause mayhem by spiking your drink with a toxic poison.

it caused you to cough up blood and unable to speak. it was the scariest moment of his life. his precious girlfriend, afflicted with some life threatening toxin from a random hoodlum. how could he expect something like that? what was he supposed to do?

if it hadn't been for diluc taking the guy out and helping him take you to baizhu, he would've lost it. heck, for the past eight hours he couldn't stop pacing back and forth, worried sick about you.

"...I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." he whispers repeatedly while standing next to your bed, holding your cold hands. he dosen know if you cam hear him while you sleep but he continues to say it. Over and over, untill he can see you open your eyes again.
