You’ve had a crush on Katsuki Bakugo since joining UA, but will another student change your mind?

The hum of the engine filled the car as the song stopped and Denki continued driving down the road. The last few weekends had consisted of Denki riling up whoever he could to come out on an adventure in his new car.

You sat in the middle back seat between Hanta and Katsuki, leaning your head against the headrest you let out a heavy sigh. A wave of relief washed over you finally being able to take your mind off responsibilities for a moment.

These random weekend adventures always lifted a weight off your shoulders and allowed you to enjoy your youth.

In the front seat, Hitoshi shifted uncomfortably. Hitoshi was a new addition to your usual cast of shenanigans. Denki had quickly befriended him much to the dismay of Katsuki who detested anyone new.

"What's Kirishima doing tonight?" Hanta asked curiously. Denki fiddled with his phone at a red light attempting to change the song.

"Oh, he is busy with Ashido~," Denki said in a sing-song voice.

"Tch- that's why you picked up this mind freak?" Katsuki huffed, making his disdain for a new face heard.

"Hey play nice blasty!" Denki called back to him.

Katsuki grunted and you giggled pinching his cheek, "Come on don't be rude," You teased.

"Cut it out!" Katsuki yelled smacking your hand away.

The light turned green, and Denki shoved his phone into Hitoshi's hand. "Why don't you be DJ man?" Denki suggested as he focused back on driving.

"You want me to choose a song?" Hitoshi clarified.

"Yeah, go ahead! I want to hear what you usually listen to!" Denki said encouragingly.

Hitoshi fiddled with Denki's phone until selecting the song Atmosphere by Joy Division.

"Oh! I love this song!" You exclaimed and began to sing.

Hitoshi's eyes wandered to the rearview mirror where he caught the reflection of you singing. The calm smile that painted your face as you sang the words perfectly caused his stomach to flutter.

However, the euphoria your playfulness gave him came crashing down when he noticed how your eyes wandered to Katsuki. Your eyes danced as they admired his face as if you were waiting for Katsuki to acknowledge you.

But what if you knew he looked at you the way you longed for Katsuki too?

His stomach only soured the more he observed the interaction. Katsuki's gaze stayed out the window completely indifferent to the softness of your expressions and the longingness in your eyes.

As if your soft features and carefree personality weren't enough to do him in, your voice was intoxicating as well. Hitoshi was sure he could spend a whole day listening to you sing his favorite songs.

Denki's voice infiltrated Hitoshi's daydream shattering his lovely image of you singing just for him.

"Alright, we're here!" Denki announced.

"About fucking time- had enough of being in this stupid car," Katsuki exclaimed and threw open the door exiting eagerly.

Hitoshi's eyes followed your figure as you quickly jumped out after Katsuki. The way the moonlight hit your skin as soon as you stepped out and your features bounced as you happily sprang in excitement forced him to suck in air to ground himself.

"You ready man?" Denki asked, noticing Hitoshi's slowness.

"Yeah," Hitoshi answered, forcing himself to blink away his desires and exit the car.

You five began to walk up a hiking trail. Denki had claimed the view had to be amazing at night, and hiking was one of the only things he could get Katsuki to agree to come to.

Hitoshi was new to the group and hung back observing the four of your interactions. It didn't take long for him to notice your gaze never left Katsuki. He was always in your line of vision and most of all he was the main person you responded to in the conversation. The other two boys might as well not have been there at all in your eyes.

Eventually, the conversation pushed you out as the three boys got into a heated discussion regarding something pointless.

Hitoshi quickened his pace, taking this opportunity to speak more with you.

"Hey," He called out to get your attention.

"Hey general studies~," You teased.

Hitoshi would have corrected you that he was enrolling in the hero course now, but your teasing caught him off guard and it took all his concentration not to be flustered by your comment.

"How are you enjoying the hike so far?" You asked.

"It's fine-," He shrugged his shoulders." So- what usually happens on these night outs?" he asked.

"Hmm- well usually we try to get in as much trouble as we can before Bakugo yells at us to go back," You giggled.

Hitoshi's nose scrunched up at the sound of how you sang out Katsuki's name. Your crush on him was all too evident.

But why?

What did you see in that belligerent blond?

“Are you excited to be in the hero course now?” you asked, snapping Hitoshi out of his thoughts.

“Yes of course. It’s all I’ve ever wanted… I’m especially excited to get to know everyone more.” He stated.

“Oh, that’s funny~ last I remember you said you weren’t here to make friends.” You teased.

Hitoshi flushed slightly at your comment, “Yes, I did say that- however, I find myself particularly excited to get to know you more. Speaking of that- would you like to go out to eat sometime?” He asked.

His words took the breath out of your lungs and froze your footsteps. Hitoshi stopped and turned to face you, taking in your shocked expression. You had never been asked out so straightforward before- nor did you expect it from your new classmate. And then there was your feelings for-…

Hitoshi spoke, bringing you out of your spiraling thoughts.

“It’s Bakugo, isn’t it?” He asked simply.

His words sent you into even more peril. In the brief time Hitoshi has spent with you he had picked up your crush on Katsuki. Was it that obvious?

“Is he your boyfriend?” Hitoshi asked further.

You stuttered like an idiot not knowing how to form a sentence after being so taken off guard. “He- well no he’s not but- I uh- I don’t-,” you tried to get out anything that would make sense. Thankfully, Hitoshi hated seeing you in such discomfort.

“It’s all right. You don’t have to explain, I think I understand. However… if you’re ever tired of waiting for him to appreciate you like he should- I can assure you I’d do a better job.” He spoke.

Your eyes searched his, completely overwhelmed by his boldness. His expression was genuine, calm, and serious. Hitoshi had every intention of laying out his affinity for you honestly and politely. It was unlike anything you had experienced before- and left you speechless.

“The hell are you two doing back there?” Katsuki spewed looking back at you both. In the fleeting moment you two had stopped to speak, the three boys had made some considerable distance.

Hitoshi let out a disgruntled sigh, the angry chihuahua's temper poked at his nerves. It was past cruel that such a vulgar man would have your affection. However, as Hitoshi averted his gaze from you to Katsuki he saw for the first time a quick shimmer of possessiveness in the blond's eyes.

Did Katsuki have some feelings for you after all? Or was it just his ego that appreciated your attention? Whatever the case, the tension that held between the two students was not going to be the last.

if shinso feels like there’s a threat to your his love for you, he’ll just go rogue. fuck the hero dream, he’ll just become a villain. he’ll take you with him and lock you inside the hideout.

he can and will murder for you. it’ll be messy- sending a message to everyone. you, [first name] [middle name] [last name] belong to him, hitoshi shinso.

if you try to leave him, he’ll threaten to kill the people you care about most. take your pick.

shinso will use his quirk to brainwash you into thinking that you wanted that rough love making session, then make you forget afterwards.

So don't expect him to know what to do right off the bat all he knows is he definitely doesn't like seeing you like this but he doesn't know what exactly to do so he does what he knows best, violence

He will try and hurt whatever hurt you, yes that includes things that technically can't get hurt like just life in general or school but he has good intentions I promise

After he realizes it's only making you more upset he'll try the second thing he knows how to do

He will also brush your hair and braid it or just style it into anything you want he just wants you to feel relaxed with him and would do anything to make you feel better

He definitely will go and talk to his mom about what he should do and how to make you feel better and he also will probably just bring you to his mom for like a little family meet up

His mom loves you and she will always be down to see you and he knows how much you like her so he Hope's it'll boost your mood a bit and she's better with words

“You know, if you just stopped getting kicked in the head, I wouldn’t need to fix your gear all the time.” I said, my hands running over the smooth metal of Hitoshi’s voice modulator. Different from the first one I had made him 2 years ago; small changes being made to help your best friend become the best hero he could be.

“Maybe I miss hanging out with you. You are worth a swift kick to the head.” He said from behind me, walking around the room as he spoke. Looking at the various machines, weapons, and other projects I was working on in the workshop. I laughed at his response, shaking my head as I screwed the missing panel back into place.

“You flatter me.”

Hitoshi Shinso had been your best friend since before both of you were even born. Your dad and his parents, living next to each other since their early 20’s, experiencing drunken nights, sad days and the trials of parent hood together. So in turn you and Toshi had done everything together. First steps, first words and first days of school.

“I saw you and Mr Aizawa on TV.” I said beaming, the thought of him realising his dreams and making them a reality enough to make my heart soar.

“Oh yeah, it was pretty weird. Don’t think I’ll ever get used to it. Neither will Mr Aizawa.”

“Lucky you guys are so chatty.”

It was him who laughed this time, coming up next to me and hugging me into his side. I did miss him, his hero work and my support work taking up much of whatever spare time we had. Especially being 3rd years, our futures looming over us even more, having to make final decisions about our future. Gone were the days of dressing up as our favourite heroes and running around our homes catching our parents who pretended to be villains. Now all I seemed to think about where internship offers and upcoming exams, mathematic equations often overtaking my thoughts even in my dreams.

The gear didn’t need much fixing just a loose panel and a few scratches, something easy that I could fix in a matter of minutes.

“Good as new!” I said, holding up the voice modulator and admiring my handy work, then passing it back to Hitoshi.

“You’re the best Y/N, ramen is on me next time.” Hitoshi said, winking and taking the equipment from me. Placing it over his face and making the necessary adjustments.

The workshop was surprisingly quiet, usually filled with the noise of machines and steel clanging together. The music usually turned up to max volume as the other support course students worked on support gear for other heroes. Hatsume clearly wasn’t here because it had been a whole 3 hours with no explosions nearby.

“So how is Kaibara?” Toshi asked, quirking his purple eyebrow at me. I rolled my eyes at his question, stepping around him and back over to my tool bench.

“I don’t know, why don’t you ask him?”

“Well I only ask because you seem to know him a lot better than I do. Intimately I would say.”

“Ew, don’t say intimately. Are you 95 years old?” I said, faking chills and a look of disgust on my face.

Sen and I weren’t dating, I didn’t want to date him but the time we did spend together proved effective in helping relieve the everyday stress of living at UA and being a Hero Support student. The sex was good, and he was handsome, always considerate of me and never did anything I was uncomfortable with. The more I thought about it, the more perfect he seemed. He very well might be, but just not for me. There was never any substance behind my feelings for him beyond the attraction to sleep with him. If we did interact outside of the bedroom it was purely platonic, just friends and nothing more. As bad as it sounded, I was using him for personal benefit and nothing more.

"He talks about you a lot.”

I looked into his eyes and flipped my hair, a cocky grin overtaking my features.

“Well… what can I say?”

“Not like that you weirdo, he asks a lot of questions. He wants to know more about you.” Hitoshi laughed, slapping my arm, scratching the back of his neck.

“Do you guys not talk?”

“Why would we need to?” I asked, not quite understanding the question. My back to Hitoshi now, tidying my workstation as I waited for his answer. We knew what we needed to know about one another, our names, birthdays, and a few general things but beyond that it seemed irrelevant.

“I think he likes you.”

“Well I hope he does he puts his penis inside me Hitoshi.”

“You know that isn’t what I meant. He like likes you.”

I stilled; my back still turned towards my friend. My view of relationships was always clouded by indifference. I could blame it on the fact that my parents didn’t work out or I could blame it on my preferences, hell I could even blame it on my star sign. Whichever excuse I chose I always knew that deep down I knew that relationships would never work, and people were better off alone, if I didn’t fully give someone my heart there is no way that they could rip it out of my chest and step on it. I would never put myself in that situation.

“That sounds like his problem, not mine.” I said coldly, picking up my bag and heading to the door, hopefully hearing the end of this conversation.

“Ramen is on you remember. I’m hungry.”

Without another word I flicked off the light by the door and headed out of the workshop, Hitoshi picking up speed to walk beside me, not saying another word.

The walk back to UA was always killer, that dam hill being the bane of my existence for the last 3 years. The silence was almost deafening, I could feel Hitoshi holding something back. Wanting to say something, something about the conversation earlier no doubt.

“What is it?”

“I don’t know what you mean.”

“I can feel you being gloomy, more so than usual. It’s irritating.”

Hitoshi sighed, rubbing his eyes with one of his hands. Shaking his head as he stopped.

“I want you to be happy! Is that so wrong? What’s wrong with Kaibara?”

“If you like him so much why don’t you date him.”

“I don’t want to make jokes!” He said, stepping past me, and continuing up the hill.

“Why is this so important to you? You’ve never really cared before.” I asked, jogging to catch up to him. He didn’t answer, he just linked our arms and continued up the hill. Pushing whatever he was feeling down and sealing it away.

“Denki is having a party in the 3A dorm this weekend. Wanna come?” Hitoshi asked changing the subject and tightening his arm around mine.

“Mr Aizawa is allowing that?”

“Yeah, apparently it will be good for us to blow off some steam before the school year really kicks off. His words not mine.”

He sensed my hesitation.

“Hatsume is going to be there, she even convinced IIda to go.” He said raising his eyebrows.

“Wow, that is impressive.” I said matter of factly, nodding my head. The class rep of the 3A was known for being a real stickler for the rules. Keeping everyone in order and always being the epitome of a model student. Bless his soul, but he wasn’t really the party type. The picture of him in that environment was enough to convince me to go.

“Please, who is going to help me stop Denki from being an idiot?”

“Literally any of his other friends?”

“Yeah but you are so pretty, and he is a simp.” Toshi said matter-of-factly.

“Fine, but if I don’t see Tenya do his little arm thing at least once then I’m gonna be so mad at you.” I said giggling and tightening his arms once more.

“I can guarantee it, it will be Denki and a party. It’s like you don’t even know him.”

Me and the rest of class 3H had been instructed to be at Ground Gamma for a joint training session between 3A and 3B, the hero support students were to observe and help with gear whenever needed. Taking notes on current gear and seeing where adjustments were needed. As the future heroes got better at handling their quirks and being in tense situations some fights ended with a lot of damage. Whether it be to the heroes themselves or their gear, that’s where we came in.

I always seemed to forget just how big the facilities at UA really were, most of the grounds built to look like entire blocks of actual cities. Ground Gamma was made up of various exposed pipes and machinery, the combination giving a labyrinth affect perfect for heroes to improve theirs fighting skills in tight spaces.

Watching them was impressive, just how far they had come in a few short years was a credit to just how hard they trained every day. I felt safe and content knowing that these people were going to be patrolling the city one day and keeping people safe.

“Hey stranger!” a voice yelled in the distance, Sero’s tall body coming into view as he walked closer to me. Denki and Toshi following closely behind.

“Afternoon.” I said, saluting the boys as they got closer, standing on either side of me examining the work bench and tools that we had set up before anyone else arrived.

“How is my favourite little nerd?” Denki asked, nudging my arm with his and hugging me.

“I’m good, excited to see you guys train today.”

“Aw babe, prepare to be amazed!” Denki said, winking at me, his arm still slung around my side.

“Y/N could watch me burp the alphabet and be more impressed.” Hitoshi said sarcastically.

“You guys are so harsh.” He replied, clutching his hand to his chest and feigning sadness.

The group laughed as I turned around and prepared for this afternoon’s events. Ready to take notes and sketch new designs. The students had started filling up the platform, sitting in the groups they had been assigned, discussing the best plans of attack depending on their quirks.

“Everyone gather around!”

“Today will be a bit different, after today’s exercise we will be assigning you with new support students based on where we think the heroes need improvement and previous projects from the support course students. We will also be looking at your scheduled internships and work studies and matching you based on that so we can get all heroes and their gear to the best they can be before graduation.” Mr Aizawa said, commanding the attention of everyone on the platform. He wore his usual nonchalant expression, hair down and hands in his pockets.

Everyone talked amongst themselves about the recently learned information. As of right now I worked on Bakugo, Uraraka and Hitoshi’s costumes and support gear. The first two hero costumes were my entrance exam task, getting a rough design, a file on both students and their quirks and having to design according to that. Now making adjusts when needed or wanted. The most recent addition was two earpieces for Bakugo to reduce the noise of his explosions but still allowing him to hear regular noise, so he didn’t lose any sense while fighting. In hopes that his explosions wouldn’t damage his hearing anymore than it already had.

New projects were always welcome, in hopes of keeping my grades high before graduation. Hero Agencies always quick to offer students internships based on good grades and successful support gear.

“So to get this started, give it your best and good luck!” Allmight finished, the first two groups of students heading to their assigned bases to start training.

The training finished, class A’s teams winning the most training battles and celebrating accordingly. Cheering and hugging each other. My notebook already full of notes and sketches for potential changes and brand-new designs.

“Everyone please look up at the screen and look at who you have been given as your support students. There will be no changing so no complaining.” Aizawa said, already walking off the platform. Probably to wrap himself up in his sleeping bag.

There in large blue writing was my name.

3AM Encounters

A/n: I feel like everyone uses that title but oh well I’m uncreative when it comes to titles. I’ve been simping a LOT for Shinsou recently so here enjoy this <33 and ik requests are off but for Shinsou I make exceptions ✨✨✨

Summary: Shinsou had trouble falling asleep and was laying in bed, counting as the hours passed by. That is, until he heard footsteps outside

Pairings: Shinsou Hitoshi x reader

Despite the many times Shinsou had laid awake at 3am, he still could never quite get used to the eerie silence. It was times like this when he truly understood the phrase “deafening silence”. The quietness felt too loud. The nothingness made him feel uneasy. During the day, he despised hearing the loud screeches of jumpy teenagers but now, he almost misses it. He could hear just about every little thing, the slight gust of wind from outside his open window, the creaking of his bed every time he shifted to get comfier and the footsteps outside.

Wait,,, outside?

Shinsou grabbed his phone from his bedside table and squinted at the screen, the harsh light illuminating his room. It was 3:15AM. Trying to make as little noise as possible as to not draw attention to himself, he heaved out of bed and looked out the window that was overlooking the gardens. He was surprised to be met with the sight of a black silhouette scurrying across the gardens, making their way towards the equipment shed. They were dressed in what seemed to be a black hoodie and pyjama bottoms. He couldn’t make out their face, their hood masking all their features. Leaning out a bit to get a better view, he noticed they were holding something close to their chest. He wasn‘t sure but to him it seemed like a box.

Now this peeked the teenage boy's interest. He wondered what was inside the box to make them run so early in the morning. They were most likely a student in his year as these gardens were predominantly used by second years, since they were right by their dormitories. Should he go after them and make sure they weren’t getting into trouble? Thinking, he had nothing better to do and the chances of actually being able to fall asleep were slim so he decided to investigate. He wasn’t sure what he was going to say or do when he met the person but he just hoped they weren’t up to no good.

He pulled on the first sweatshirt he found and carefully made his way down to the backyard. He stopped when he thought he heard footsteps and thought of just going back to his dorm and letting the person do whatever they wanted. He wasn’t the class president or anything so he wasn’t obligated to check on every little out of the norm. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep influencing his decisions but for some odd reason he desperately wanted to know what the person was up to. When he first joined the Hero Course in second year he announced to everyone that he wasn’t looking to make friends. However that soon changed as he got to know everyone. He still wasn’t the most sociable person but hey who knows, maybe he’ll find a kindred spirit when it comes to the inability to sleep. So he let curiosity get the better of him and pursued onwards towards the equipment shed.

Once he was outside the shed, Shinsou leaned his head against the rotting wood trying to listen in. He was surprised to hear low whisperings but he couldn’t make out anything bar a few hushed be quiet’s. He stiffly stood outside for some time, unsure whether to knock or barge in. He decided knocking would probably be silly so he opted with the latter. In one swift motion, he swung the handle and stepped inside.

The scene before him was baffling, to say the least. Whatever Shinsou was expecting, it definitely wasn’t this. The black figure from before was kneeling down, their back to him, petting a large grey cat while a kitten was on their lap. There were three more kittens around them, all purring and rubbing their heads against them, whining for their attention. When they heard the door creak open, they rapidly swung their head around, eyes wide at the thought of being discovered. So they were quite surprised when their deep e/c eyes met with Shinsous' own lilac hues.

They both stayed staring like that, neither pulling away and refusing to break eye contact. After what seemed like hours but couldn’t possibly be more than a few seconds, Shinsou finally pulled away, looking to the side while sheepishly bringing a hand to rub the back of his neck.

“Sh-Shinsou!” was the only thing you managed to say, confusion clouding your brain. Just what was he doing here this early in the morning? Then an even more alarming thought popped into your head. Was he going to report you???

Sensing your disarray, Shinsou quickly tried to explain himself, snapping you out of your thoughts.

“Oh, um, you don’t have to worry about me snitching or anything haha,” he nervously fumbled out, “I-I just saw you running and was wondering what you were doing is all…” he trailed off, unable to look at you in the eyes.

Of all people he had to meet in the middle of the night, why did it have to be you. You were also in 2-A, in fact you sat behind him in most of his classes. You two had a few brief encounters but it was enough for Shinsou to feel butterflies whenever he crossed paths with you. You were really sweet to everyone, always smiling and happy to lend a hand to anyone in need. Well you were the class president, he supposed, it was your job after all. Still though, the level of kindness you showed them all was something that not even Bakugou wanted to push away. As if your looks and kindness weren’t enough, you also had a killer sense of humour. You were always sending the funniest memes, tweets and tik toks to their class gc and responded to his sarcastic comments with ones of your own. You were without a single doubt one of the most perfect people Shinsou had ever laid his eyes upon. And now here he was seeing you surrounded by cats??? Hell, in his eyes you were quite literally an angel.

“Oh! Whoops, I suppose I should’ve been sneakier,” relief evident in your voice as you chuckled softly. Thank God it was just him and not someone like Iida a stickler for rules.

However, the fact that he was here now meant that...

”Wait a second! Did I wake you up??? Oh my God no, I am so so so sorry. Ugh, I feel so horrible now,” your tone changing abruptly as you ushered out an apology.

“What? No, no, it’s fine. I was always awake,” he quickly replied back looking down to meet your shining eyes again. There was only one window and the moonlight trickled through, enhancing your eyes and accentuating all your lovely features. You really looked as though you were hand-carved by the Greek Gods themselves.

You met his eyes again, sharing a look of sympathy as you understood his pain.

“Oh, you couldn’t sleep either? That’s why I came down here. I found the mama cat and her kittens three weeks ago. No one seemed to be feeding them or even know of their existence so I was kinda like damn, alright I’ll take care of yous,” you rambled on, almost forgetting about the kittens beside you, desperately mewling for attention.

You stopped to take a deep breath and started playing with the kittens next to you, looking up at Shinsou awaiting his reply.

Shinsou on the other hand was so absorbed watching you play that he didn’t even realise you were finished talking until you gave a small laugh.

“Do you wanna come over here and play with them?” you asked a small smile splayed on your lips.

He could not say yes fast enough. He walked over to where you sat and carefully kneeled down so as to not scare away the kittens. He gently started petting mama cat who instantly became smitten with him. Shinsou slowly began to smile, the pure adoration for these kittens displayed on his face.

You allowed yourself to stare at Shinsou while he wasn’t paying attention. Shinsou was a beautiful man, even Kaminari noting his good looks. You two never had much interactions bar a few good mornings and complaining about training. The usual small talk. He was always polite and when in a good mood would throw a few sarcastic comments here and there. Though he was never rude, it always felt like there was a barrier between him and the rest of the class that no one could quite break down. However now, early in the morning you somehow felt closer to him. It was like he was slowly letting his guard down. Even though neither of you were talking, you enjoyed his company, the silence almost comforting.

Despite how much you enjoyed just being next to him and petting cats, you also wanted to talk to him. It was hard talking to him in class, what with the walls he surrounded himself with. You decided now would be the best time to get to know him if you ever wanted to make a lasting friendship with him.

You wracked your brain for a conversation starter, not wanting to be too dry to bore him away nor wanting to be too chaotic to scare him away. God, just why were you so nervous anyways? It's just Shinsou after all. Why did talking to hot boys always have to be so hard ugh?

You looked over at him again, admiring his toned body that could almost be seen through the sweatshirt. You let your eyes trailed down until you noticed his pyjama bottoms. They were baby pink with Hello Kitty printed all over it.

You had to suppress a scream of joy. They were without a single doubt the most beautiful pyjamas you had ever laid your eyes upon.

“I like your pj bottoms,” you said teasingly, though that wasn’t your intention.

“O-oh, thank you,” he muttered, surprising himself by getting out a coherent sentence. Inwardly though, he was cursing himself for not throwing on a pair of sweatpants. You probably genuinely meant it but it was still something Shinsou didn’t want to go around flaunting. Fortunately for him, it was too dark for you to see the tinge of red on the tip of his ears and cheeks.

When he looked back up at you, he was expecting a face of mockery but was pleasantly surprised to see you smiling, your eyes shining brightly under the dim moonlight. The peace he was feeling before returned and he started to feel more confident in your comfortable presence.

“Y’know,” he started, his deep velvety voice becoming more confident. “Aren’t you the class president? What would Iida say if he found out?” he asked, completely breaking the ice between yous.

“You wouldn’t dare,” you said in a low voice, feigning a look of mock fear.

“I don’t know, it just wouldn’t be honest. My guilty conscience would never be able to handle it,” he replied, a teasing smile dancing on his lips.

You couldn’t stop smiling at the thought that he was willing to continue the conversation. You wanted to see how much longer you could make it last.

“Hmmmm, well how about I make it even. If you want, you can join me to feed the cats. They need to be fed in the day too, so it’s not like we’re always breaking the rules.” looking down as soon as you finished, afraid of the answer. You didn’t want to seem like you were being too pushy but at the same time you really enjoyed Shinsous company. The morning was slowly coming to an end and soon you both will have to go back to your dorms. You’ll both have to continue classes the next day and pretend this night never happened. You wanted it to continue. So you waited with baited breath for Shinsous reply.

Coincidentally enough, Shinsou had also been thinking the same thing. He had thoroughly enjoyed his time. Though you both hadn’t spoken much, your presence really put him at ease. He felt so much more relaxed around you. It would be a shame if this was the first and last night of spending time with you and the kittens. So when you asked, he knew his answer straight away. He just had to somehow play it off cool and act unbothered.

“Deal. I guess I have enough time to visit the kittens. And you too, I suppose,” he added with his signature smirk.

You felt your cheeks heat up but managed to return a mischievous grin of your own. You quickly pulled out your phone and sighed with disappointment when you checked the time.

“Unfortunately, I think our time here has ended. It’s nearly 4am, the sun will be coming up soon. And we have annoying classes tomorrow,” you stated a bit sad about the fact that such an enjoyable night has come to an end. However he did say he’d continue joining you so that kept you somewhat excited.

Shinsou looked at you, mouth slightly parted in shock.

“4AM already? Shit, sorry for keeping you up for so long,” with that he tried to remove mama cat from his lap who had fully made herself at home on it. She lazily stretched and got off, a bit annoyed that her nap time was ruined.

You and Shinsou both stood up and brushed yourselves down, dusting off any dirt that may have stuck on to you from the old floors.

“I can walk you back to your dorm,” Shinsou offered, his hand rubbing the back of his next.

“How chivalrous,” you giggled slightly. “Don’t worry about it, besides we wouldn’t want anyone to catch you in those stunning bottoms now would we,”

“Shut up,” he rolled his eyes irritably but there was a pleased smile on his lips, indicating he wasn’t really annoyed.

You both made your way back to the dorms, whispering softly to each other occasionally. You broke apart to go to your separate dorms and try to get at least a couple of hours of sleep.

You lay awake in your bed, replaying the encounter and a bit upset at how quickly it had ended. You remembered his eyes, his smell and his deep velvety voice. You couldn’t stop smiling stupidly when you remembered your conversations. Somehow thinking about his voice managed to help you drift off to sleep, your last clear thought being Shinsou playing with the kittens.

I’m so sorry this is late you have every right to be upset with me

The blinds in your room let in the late morning rays of light as you finished your hospital breakfast for the last time. You eagerly toss the tray into the nearby trash can and stretch your arms above your arms carefully. You were cautious to not stretch too hard as you press a hand to your stomach.

Or what would have been your stomach.

If people ever asked you if you felt empty, you could answer them literally. You truly felt that you lost a part of you when you were lost in your thoughts. It had been a couple weeks of close observation as you recovered from the invasive surgery. Eating was normal as it just went to another section of your body, and your scar wasn’t going to reopen anytime soon. Your quirk deactivated there and you were able to heal the skin, but not your gut.

Overall it was relatively normal, which was unfathomable to you. You lost a physical part of you, how were you supposed to be normal? Your friends babied, pitied you for weeks because you were helpless. And Shinsou just-

Shinsou.

He was there for everything. Your first clenches at the thought that your friend had wasted so much of his time with you. He could have been doing missions, protecting citizens but he was by your side. You had to force him out to do his job because the guilt was eating you alive. It made your insides weak and strain against each other.

A truly ironic feeling.

You were brought out of your thoughts when the door rumbles open. Your eyes train on red hair in a long ponytail and a wide toothy grin. Your gaze softens as he enters the room, the doctor and nurses trailing behind him. “Sorry I’m late!”

“Kiri you didn’t have to be here.”

The taller man scoffs around you as he helps you sit up and get out of the hospital bed. “Of course I’m gonna help you. You literally got a part of you taken out of you, I’m not leaving you alone for awhile.” Kirishima pauses as you press your weight against him. “Besides, Shinsou would kill me if anything happened to you.”

Your eyes widen at his statement as you feel him chuckle beside you. Your mind began to race at a mile a minute. The doctors were talking to you about going home and what you can and cannot do but you were elsewhere. The purple haired man has done so much for you and what do you have to show for it? You can’t work, Fatgum made sure of that. And Aizawa was nearly beside himself when he heard the news, demanding you look for a short term replacement until you can come back to work. What about all the hours Shinsou missed because of you? How much overtime is he doing? He’s going to be so tired and grumpy and-

“(Y/n)? Are you listening?”

Your eyes blink rapidly as you meet the stares of everyone in the room. You quickly nod and your doctor continues on saying you’re free to leave. She complimented your regular clothes that Jirou brought over as she hands you documents and medicine. Everything happens in a blur as Kirishima leads you out of the hospitals back entrance to avoid any paparazzi. Kirishima politely takes your hands and helps you into a car you’ve recognized from the agency.

“We’ve gotta make a stop there first,” Kirishima comments, “they recovered your phone!” You don’t miss the slight upturn of his voice when he mentions it. You decide to leave it alone as you ride in silence, letting the hum of the engine and the wind outside fill the void. The broad man coughs while keeping his eyes on the road. “I know it’s a dumb question but, how do you feel?”

It takes everything in you to not let your dam burst but it starts to leak regardless. “Eiji...” your voice cracks at the nickname. The both of you are lucky that the agency is right up ahead so he pulls in and parks, directing his attention to you.

“I’m here pebble.”

You sniffle as you rub at your eyelids. “I can’t,” you start, “I can’t face him. Any of them. I can barely face you right now.”

Kirishima takes your hands in his and rubs calming circles on the back of them. “Who?”

“Hi-Shinsou!” Tears fall freely as you let his warmth go, opting to stare at the blank wall by the vehicle. “He did too much for me. He missed so much work because of me! Look at me!” Heavy panting and discarded tears falling onto the seats became the current soundtrack to your talk. “I lost my stomach because I didn’t assess a situation well enough. I made all of you worry and pity and baby me for weeks! How can I bear to see any of you when I’m supposed to be-“

“(Y/n)! Stop!” He grabs your hands rough yet gently and makes you look at him. “Listen to me. No one could have predicted what would have happened then and you know that.” You tear your eyes away from him but tighten your hold on his hands. “We all wanted to help you out. We knew it was going to be new for you. You had helped all of us,” he hiccups them, unaware that he began to cry. “We were all so scared! We thought you had died! Of course we want to help. And Shinsou...”

You turn your head back to Kiri, understanding his forlorn expression. “He blamed himself for what happened. And-“

“No! Sorry Kiri, but I can’t talk to him.” Your voice lowers to a whisper, “I already did too much, I can’t put this on him I just can’t.”

Crimson eyes glaze over, hesitant to reach out as there’s not much he can do. He decides to leave you with your thoughts as he rushes inside to grab your phone and take you back to your apartment. Upon his return to the car, he sees that you’ve fallen asleep. He quietly places your phone in your lap and starts up the car, proceeding to drive to your apartment.

He looks to you as the sun and shadows dance upon your skin as you leave the agency. He’s aware of all the emotional turmoil you’re holding and wants to help you with it. However, he knows that’s not his job. Maybe in another life he’d be telling you he loves you as more than a friend but that position in your heart belongs to another.

And Kirishima hopes that what you two are feeling will get aired out and you’ll be the happiest people on earth.

CAUGHT ME BY SURPRISE JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME (SHINSOU + READER DAYS AT UA)

A/N: don’t mind me, just self-inserting myself into UA’s days as a student bc I love Shinsou and Hawks and I love the quirk I’ve given to myself in the UA universe and honestly I’m just a simp. (I might make this a part of a series just like I am for the Hawks one bc I have problems)

Prompt: Y/N is a transfer student to 1-A’s Hero Course from an American school and known for the power behind her quirk. Shinsou is yet again the subject of some annoying trolls at school. What happens when the two cross paths?

Word Count: 1,683

He was beyond used to the subjected brutality of teenagers since he had transferred into UA’s General Studies course. All of his life, Shinsou had been told that he couldn’t be a hero because of his quirk. That he was a danger and had the makings of being a villain rather than a hero. The one thing he was so determined to be, according to his peers, was one thing he could never be. It was easy for the lot of them to say when they had much more heroic quirks that could make their climb to heroism much easier than his. But after his fight with Izuku Midoriya at the sport’s event, Shinsou was more determined than ever to make sure he became a hero.

The general negative attitude towards he and his quirk had lessened since then, but hadn’t ceased to exist. There were still a couple of other students who always thought it was an opportune time to ask him how the League of Villains were, if he’d picked his villain name, and so on. None of this was new to him, and Shinsou had basically come to blur it out of his mind. At one point it had bothered him, had really almost made the indigo haired boy lean into the idea of being a villain. After all, if they wanted him to be one so bad, then who was he to deny them that privilege? It’d been his fight with Izuku that had shifted some of Shinsou’s thinking, reigniting a passion to get into the hero course because it was one he deserved to be in. Because he deserved to be a hero. Wanted desperately to be a hero.

Shinsou craned his neck from side to side and rolled sunken eyes. “Yeah man, maybe you’re the one who is telling the League where class 1-A is going to be all the time.” One of the boys who had made it his mission to make Shinsou’s life miserable for the day spoke. He was from the business course, the black haired kid egging him on from the support course. “You’re just as responsible for All Might’s retirement as Bakugou is!” Came the snickering.

His upper lip curled, his attention redirected. “How long did it take you to come up with that one? A couple hours?” How easy it would be to just use his quirk right then and there. Brainwash the assholes who tried to make him the butt of their miserable attempts at insults and jokes. But that was what they wanted. It was what they expected of him because they already had it made up in their minds what type of person he was. Shinsou had been about to continue, but it was the black haired student who shoved his friend.

“Dude, look, there she is!”

“Shit,” the other student exclaimed, taking a step back from Shinsou.

Curious, his eyes followed to where the students were looking. And there you were. Your legs looked like they ran on for miles in the UA uniform, though you weren't any taller or shorter than most of the other girls in the school. It was obvious to anyone that you were new at the school, your uniform still too nicely pressed and wrinkle-free to have been well worn like the rest of theirs were. Shinsou had never seen you before, it was a face and definitely a body he would have remembered. Were you an older student? Had the reason he’d never seen you before been the simplest fact that he hadn’t ever paid attention or felt the need to? Shinsou wracked his brain for where he had seen you before, if at all. But no. He didn’t know you. Yet, the mysterious pull of your aura was something that had drawn in him almost immediately. It wasn’t that your aura was dark, or spoke of evil. It spoke of mystery and misunderstanding, a set of cased emotions he understood very well. Indigo eyes remained fixated on you as you came closer, and he tried to get his heart under control when you looked his way.

Locked eyes with him. Most of the time people who did that with him looked away immediately after. But not you. You...kept your eyes on him until you were standing in front of the trio of boys. Only then you looked around, from the person you assumed was Shinsou Hitoshi, to the other boys you didn’t know. Didn’t care to get to know because their reputations hadn’t proceeded them for any various reasons. “Hi,” you said, head tipped to the side. You introduced yourself, shared your name with them though you were really only speaking to Shinsou. “Am I...interrupting something? I’m supposed to be in the 1-A Hero course but I can’t seem to find the classroom.”

“You? In the hero course? We know...” the black haired kid started out, and your eyebrows pulled together as he fumbled his words. “We know what your quirk is! No wonder you’re looking for him!”

Quirk? Shinsou stood up a little straight, his interest caught (and not because he wanted to feel like he was much taller than you and could defend you if you needed, though he wasn’t sure that was the case here) as you rolled your eyes. Not everyone got their quirk villainized right off the bat. That was a trophy that only Shinsou had held for some time.

“Then, if you know how bad my quirk is,” you continued, arms crossed, hip jutted out, seething attitude. “Wouldn’t it be smart to not catch lip with me?”

Shinsou thought he was in love.

The other two boys grimaced, looked you up and down with disdain. “Not our business to help the freaks. Ask the only other freak here in the school to help you get around.” They looked at Shinsou, their grimaces only growing. You narrowed your eyes at them. Shinsou stared at you.

With one last hateful look, the two boys split and left you and Shinsou alone. He didn’t know how words worked anymore. There wasn’t a thought in Shinsou’s head that made coherent sense and suddenly he felt very out of his league. You, however, played it as cool as a cucumber. Confident and seemingly dangerous? The sea of mystery surrounded you still as you turned back to look at him. From the get go you thought he had the prettiest lilac eyes you had ever seen. But that wasn’t the reason Aizawa Sensei had told you to keep an eye out for Shinsou Hitoshi, no. Easy on the eyes was your own assessment. Aizawa Sensei had told you about Shinsou for the reason that you shared a similar quirk. That people looked down on you for something you hadn’t even been able to pick. And while you could give off that air of confidence and nonchalance, it was terrifying to be in a new school, in a new country, where your reputation did proceed you and people had already started rumors about what type of person they thought you were. From what Aizawa had told you...Shinsou was someone that you could lean into for support like that.

Rough around the edges, not someone who was the easiest to talk to...in Aizawa’s own words...but someone who would understand what you’d been through. And while you wanted to play it cool, you were terrified of being in a place so foreign where you were out of your depth with people who had known each other for so long already.

You turned your gaze to Shinsou, who stared at you still. “Freaks, huh?” You swallowed back any sound of uncertainty or doubt.

“Freaks.” Shinsou said, crooked smile softening his hard glare. “Let me guess, Aizawa sent you to come find me to give you a grand old tour.” His voice was dry, grating.

“Something like that. More along the lines of make sure Hitoshi doesn’t get bullied by people and just take it.” You lifted a brow, hoping he’d take the joke you’d just made as that: a joke.

His eyes narrowed, and you were sure you’d misstepped in assuming he’d think it was funny. You braced yourself from snarky comment, but he only looked you up and down, his tongue tucked into the corner of his mouth like he was deep in thought. And to be honest, he was. Here you’d come with a trumpet horn of an announcement by the two punks who’d scampered off. Apparently, Aizawa thought he had something to gain by knowing you and vice versa. You weren’t afraid of him, or of speaking to him at that matter, and it was a sense of relief Shinsou didn’t know he’d gone his entire school career without. It only made him more curious about what quirk you were hiding, but he figured that wasn’t exactly introductory protocol. He let out a low breath through his nostrils, tipping a head of thick indigo hair towards the classrooms.

What Shinsou wouldn’t admit was that you’d had him enraptured so easily. Maybe your quirk was just like his, only better. He felt brainwashed, enthralled by the mystery that was you and all he didn’t know about you. When Aizawa would ask him about it later, he’d deny any interest in you outside of fleeting curiosity. It’d be an answer that would earn him a sidelong glance from his mentor, but it’d be one that he’d insist was true. So he looked you up and down once more, did his best to hide his blush. “Well then, freak, come on.” The books he had in his hands rested against his hip, and you had to admit he looked rather...handsome. If handsome was something a teenager could think about another teenager without being too vulgar. “Class 1-A is going to have a field day with you. Get ready, all they want to do is make friends.”

The way you crinkled your nose, and the way he couldn’t help but do the same told him all he needed to know about the relationship that was bound to bloom between you.

💥~ Believe it or not, but he understands what you’re going through, whether it be emotional or physical stress, or even anxiety and panic attacks, he knows the feeling of them all.

💥~ He can most likely relate to nearly everything that can cause those feelings, and he knows that familiar feeling of emptiness, heartache or sadness, and stress above all.

💥~ And truth be told, he’s a hothead and can definitely be a huge asshole sometimes, but with you it’s different.

💥~ He never wants to see you hurt, never wants to see you in discomfort, and certainly never wants to see you in a situation that’s unsafe for you.

💥~ So when he walks in on you crying or you come to him wanting to talk about an issue, he won’t admit it but he’s worried for you, and wonders how he can help in any way. Also he immediately threatens to blow someone through a roof.

🔥~ If you’re crying he will hold you to his chest and warm you up or cool you down, offering a reassuring sensation that relaxes your tense muscles.

❄️~ He will wipe away your tears and press short kisses to your forehead, and will ask you if you want or need to talk about it with him.

🔥~ He will talk you through it and tell you how he has dealt with it or ways that could most likely help you.

🥦~ He’s honestly so distraught he doesn’t even know what to do.

🥦~ It takes him a bit to get over the preemptive panic fit before he finally realizes that you need him to calm you down and not vice versa. “I’m so sorry s/o! Please tell me what’s wrong! I want to help in any way I can.”

🥦~ He’ll apologize multiple times, even if it wasn’t his fault, he just feels so upset and guilty that he can’t help but feel somewhat responsible.

🥦~ He’s crying, definitely crying, even if you aren’t, he still will, always, every damn time.

🥦~ He can relate if you have nightmares or panic attacks, and understands how they could make you feel because he’s had his fair share too.

🥦~ He’ll hold you close and mutters things about how he’ll always protect you and will never let anything happen to you or hurt you ever again.

💜~ So if you’re suffering from any of them, he’ll have his own way of helping you through it.

💜~ He will hold you in his arms, rocking back and forth slightly. He’ll try and crack dumb jokes to make you laugh, or tell you stupid stories about himself and the antics that in sued.

💜~ He’ll pet your head and call you ‘kitten’ regardless of your gender. “There there kitten, everything’s gonna be okay.”

🐙~ So if you text or call him he’s at your door in seconds, or if you just tell him in person you’re immediately wrapped in his comforting and safe hold.

🐙~ He tells you how strong you are, and how you never cease to amaze him, he gushes about how beautiful you are and how lucky he is to have you as his s/o.

🐙~ If you cry he’ll likely tear up or cry with you, or he will just lower his voice and hold you even tighter.

🐙~ The two of you end up in a position on a couch or on a bed where you’re laying on top of him with your face buried in his neck, facing away from him as he holds you close to his chest, pressing sweet and short kisses to your cheek or head every once and a while.

🐙~ Talks about how he’ll always protect you and keep you safe while playing with your hair. “I’ll do anything to keep you safe sunshine, please never forget that.”

Nejire Hado💎

💎~ She is such a sweetheart, and despite her seemingly constant bubbly nature, she can still relate if you’re going through anxiety or if you’re overwhelmed by something.

💎~ She’s by your side in an instant, and immediately engulfs you in a comforting hug.

💎~ If you are smaller than her she’ll just cuddle you as you sit in her lap or rest your head on her chest and entangle your legs with hers. If you’re taller than her then she’ll just curl up in your lap like a little kitten and wrap her arms around your neck.

💎~ She offers to go get your favorite snacks or drinks, and if you decline she’s okay with that, and if you agree, then she’s all for it and she’s back in flash.

💎~ She’ll hold you and run her fingers through your hair, and if you’re crying she’ll dry your tears, tell you how beautiful you are, and then flash you that shining smile of hers.

💎~ Asks you to close your eyes and focus on her voice as she tries to calm you down the best the can while she holds you and rocks you back in forth in her arms. “Don’t worry s/o, everything will be okay just wait and see!”

💎~ She will massage your back, neck, or your shoulders to keep the tension away.

💎~ She will try to make you laugh by telling ridiculous stories about her adventures with Tamaki and Mirio, which of course always seem to make you laugh.

💎~ She just gushes about how amazing and beautiful you are to her, and that she will always help and be there for you when you need it.

💎~ If you end up falling asleep she’ll just smile and move you to a more comfortable sleeping position, or she’ll carry you to bed and snuggle up to you, whispering sweet nothings in your ear as she plays with your hair.

have you made a top 10 characters? If not, and if you want to of course, I'd be curious to know your top o^u^o

Wow, this is such a hard question - make me choose between all my precious babies - like in what way?

Because there are characters whose design I immensely enjoy, but would like to know more around them before I could make up my mind (looking at you Mirko!!!) or characters I find to be so cool, but the story just haven’t given them enough (Sero, Mina, a lot of the class a and b tbh), or those characters shrouded in mystery and intrigue, who could definitely make it on my top 10 once we learn more (Dabi). And then there are the characters who will always be on my top 10 list, because I just simp them that hard... So it could really change day by day, though my top 3 is pretty stable to be honest.

With all this, let’s start...

10. Shinsou Hitoshi - Love his story, with his villainous quirk and trying to fight an unfair system that puts little value on quirks like his. I love his relationship with Aizawa and cats. He’s one of the true underdogs of the story, and it’s really interesting to see him go from a one-trick pony to a hero, but also as he finds his way in, he becomes more open. I’m so looking forward to see him on the hero course (This was difficult to decide btw - other candidates for this slot were: Kirishima, Kaminari, Twice, Mina, Shigaraki)

9. Jirou Kyouka - She’s been a solid favourite of mine since the USJ arc. Just something about her design, personality, quirk that strikes a chord (pun intended) with me and I’m truly excited whenever she gets some panel time (sadly not enough). I love that she feels like one of the people who is not here by default, but because she chose it between two things she equally loved and was talented at. I really loved seeing her singing animated in S4 and it really delivered.

8. Endeavor. - I know. I know. He’s a jerk. But... his atonement arc is nothing short of spectacular, and I truly, honestly enjoyed every bit of the story focused on him since Kamino, even though I couldn’t stand him before. As he developed in understanding and started to let go of his pride, parts of his character hidden before started to shine through, like his intelligence and his dry sense of humour. Both the Todoroki-family plot and the post-All Might hero society have been fascinating to watch. His fight with the Nomu remains one of the most emotional fights in the manga for me.

7. Midoriya Izuku - In all honesty, it’s sad when the MC barely makes the top 10. The extra-quirk plotline kind of ruined much of my enjoyment of his character, which I used to like a lot. I think he’s become too OP too fast, and also having this one-man-army element took away those things I liked about him the most; his ability to improvise team combos, and his creativity to think around problems even when his quirk is not suited to something. It also doesn’t help that in terms of character development, nothing much happened in a long while. But I feel like this arc could be a turning point. His dynamics with Bakugou remains interesting and I really enjoyed him in the Endeavor internship arc. He’s also been great in Heroes Rising.

6. Tokoyami Fumikage - I’ve always liked his design and the duality of emotions / personality between Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, how they can feel different things. I think the extreme OP / weak point of his quirk, as well as the difficulties to control it make the character very interesting and unpredictable in fight situations. I was so glad to see more focus on him in the current arc and the OVA.

5. Yaoyorozou Momo - Best girl. I love her quirk potential. Teamwork is one of the best parts of the story for me, and with her in the mix, there is always an element of surprise - what will she pull out of her sleeves arms? Her intelligence, leadership qualities, and constant struggle with self-confidence also makes he special for me. If only Hori used her better and fixed her stupid costume.

4. Hawks - I’ve always liked his design and the irreverent vibe, but he jumped several rankings up in the current arc. What can I say? He just brings so much sass and cool intrigue into every scene. I love grey characters, a good ethical dilemma, an interesting backstory and I think that coming out of the current arc, Hawks has immense potential to stir the pot in directions that I’d love the story to explore. He’s also been a bright spot of S4 in the anime.

3. Aizawa Shouta - Aizawa has been one of my faves from the very start. He had a really interesting arc from hardass homeroom teacher with attachment issues to Dadzawa, who is growing into his role and embracing it with his entire being. His quirk is super-interesting with being both incredibly over- and underpowered depending on the situation, which is greatly highlighted in the current arc. His backstory, his friendship with Present Mic and Shirakumo has been a really big emotional driver of the story lately.

2. Bakugou Katsuki - The gremlin has been one of my solid favorites since the Sport Festival arc and his character development has been phenomenal (OK, he started pretty low). I love his energy, his fighting style, his stupid tsundere act, flashy design - really all of it. Though I have to add that I love the manga version of his character way more than the anime one, where he often becomes a caricature of himself, though he was blast in the Cultural Festival arc. And the glow-up of emotional growth is real.

1. Todoroki Shouto - Well, I mean that probably was not a surprise to anyone. After all, Shouto-simp is in the title. I really like his design, his quirk, his backstory, his personality, his obliviousness, his sense of humor, his character development of making friends for the first time in his life and it’s so pure and vivid. Plus the way he forges bonds with his mom and siblings and his complex relationship with his dad. His quest to find himself, all the emotional work he does to overcome his trauma and how it links to his growth as a hero is just really amazingly well done. It’s been great starting to see him smile in the anime and his growth in the Endeavor internship arc was great (and I’m still hoping we’ll get something good in the current arc).

“Y/N senpai! What a surprise!” Hinata yelled when he saw you pop your head in the gym. You smiled softly and waved. “Hello, I hope I’m not interrupting. I brought snacks!” You said and coach Ukai called break. Immediately Yachi who was now the new main manager grabbed the bag from your hands and told Yamaguchi to bring you a seat. When you finally got to sit you sighed and leaned back on the chair. Your hand rested on top of your growing belly, you were already a few months and received info that you were not expecting one, but two babies.

You were pretty stressed and worried if you could even afford to take care of two of them but you had to at least try. It was your decision to keep them and now you can’t leave them. “Thank you for the food!” They all said and you nodded and smiled softly. “How’s everyone captain?” You asked as Ennoshita sat next to you munching his onigiri. “I don’t think you can ever calm Kageyama and Hinata but surprisingly we’re doing pretty well. I’m still getting used to the whole captain title.” He chuckled and you nodded. “It’s okay, I know you can do an amazing job. If my cousin brings you trouble you let me know alright? I’ll make sure pound him to the ground. I don’t care if I’m seven months pregnant.” You said and he laughed.

“Psst is it me or does captain have a crush on Y/N-Senpai.” Hinata whispered to Nishinoya. “Impossible! I already swore I would marry her. I don’t care if she has kids I’ll raise them as my own!” He huffed and you and Ennoshita turned to give him a glare and he shuttered. “Sorry, Kageyama.” He immediately apologized.

It was honestly a surprise to everyone that Nishinoya was your number one simp. Even when he found out you were pregnant he still said he’d marry you and you quickly declined him. He was sweet but not your type and you were not looking for a relationship any time soon.

“Nah they’re just friends, since she’s doing online classes, Ennoshita helps her a bit or vice versa cause they’re both hella smart.” Tobio said as he stared at his cousin. As much as he loves having you around, you shouldn’t be coming to his school by yourself. “What does vice versa mean?” Hinata asked and Tsukki sighed at how stupid the ginger was.

When they finished their snacks you had to sit outside the door with the net covering in case the ball came flying and you wouldn’t get hurt. You honestly couldn’t get over your new student Hinata and your cousin Tobio with their quick attacks. They were certainly going to be a unstoppable this year or even better if they keep going the way they are.

When practice ended you and Tobio were walking home with the team in front. You were kinda slow but Tobio was always patient. Hinata would ask you a whole bunch of questions regarding your time at Inarizaki and your just awkwardly smile and tell him what he wanted to know. You didn’t have anymore ally’s in the volleyball team, only Hitoshi and a few of the old first years so you decided to spill all the secrets you knew as revenge for when they made it back to nationals.

If Inarizaki even goes.

But yet again as much as you’d hate to admit it, they’re an amazing team. Especially Atsumu who was the star player in every game. “Y/N-senpai, have you picked the names of your babies? Please don’t be like my mom and hide the name until the day of because then I’m going to get impatient.” He asked hopefully.

Tobio was listening intently because you haven’t told him either. “Well for a girl I was thinking Akira, and for the boy, Rini. But I’m having twins so I can have both.” You giggled and his and Tobio’s eyes widened. “Those are such beautiful names!” Hinata gasped. “Thank you! I tried so hard to pick the right one and I think they’re perfect.” You said with a soft smile.

“They are perfect. I can’t wait to hold them. I’ll be the best uncle ever and I’ll teach them volleyball for you!” He said excitedly. “I’m sure you’ll be amazing.” You giggled and pat his head. He smiled back and continued to much his onigiri.

But I'll try to explain it as shortly as I can - could I please request some headcannons on Shinsou with like trouble youth s/o? Like his s/o has lived on the streets most of her life and has had to learn to pick pocket or either sell odds bits of junk to get by, but they want to become a better person? They could be taken on at UA to see if there is any hope reforming young kids with criminal parents/backgrouds 1/2

Shinso x troubled youth!reader

TW: Maybe some swearing

For you especially, training with Aizawa was a strange experience

Not because you were training with one of the best heros and the same man that took you off the streets

But because he acted like a father

Which considering your life that was 90% living on the streets and stealing just to get by, was all too new for you

Of course it was nice to have a parental like figure in your life, but it took adjusting

Training was extremely intense with him

And because you were still attempting to get out of your old habits, you would often get mad and fight dirty

This resulted in you hanging upside down, wrapped in Aizawas scarf, for a majority of training time

Then ending the training with a lecture from him as you packed up, and walked you back to your dorm

It didn't make it any better that the other underling you trained with was doing perfectly fine and just laughed at you in these instances

His name was Hitoshi Shinso

You didn't exactly pay him any mind, mostly seeing him as someone you trained with, and a classmate

It wasn't until he came up to you before late night training (because ofc its at night, its Aizawa) to tell you something

"Y'know, its pretty hard for both of us to train if you're constantly being tied up and lectured for half of the training time."

"Y'know, it'd probably be easier if you asked him to put me down and continue instead of laughing."

At first, you thought he came to tease you about your faults during training, but that wasn't exactly the case

He did tease you, but he also gave you pointers

"Villains fight dirty, but Aizawas quirk is pretty much just looking at people, so there's really no way to avoid that, but you can use loopholes that he won't call you out on."

You didn't believe him at first, but you realized that his quirk depended on him playing dirty, so you took his word for it

The two of you had the same lunch period, so he helped you work on new fighting styles that wouldn't get you wrapped in a cocoon of Aizawas scarf that you now dreaded

You thought of him as good company in a school of very unfamiliar faces

He was genuinely nice to you, aside from his constant teasing, unlike select others that picked on you for your past

At first, it was just the two of you hanging out at lunch and then seeing each other during training

But you actually began seeing him as a friend when he made an effort to come to your desk at the beginning of class, walking right past anyone else that was interested

You also started finding yourself in the lounge of your dorm building, studying, and even just talking with him

As well as miraculously waking up in your own bed, even though you only remember you and Shinso being in the lounge just the night before

Small notes and things that you dropped, laying in front of you door

And sure you thought he was cute before

But when he smiled, and I mean actually smiled, and not that shit eating grin he does, you felt like you were gonna melt on the spot

So when he started getting flirtatious with you, you nearly passed out

Of course you returned the favor, but you didn't expect it to develop the way it did

Play fights, that ended in hugs, when Shinso hit you just a little too hard and you'd purposely overreact

Hanging out outside of school, and showing him your favorite places and hole in the wall spots that you found from your time on the streets

Even opening up to him in a fit of tears and 10 minute breaks just so you could calm down

The first time he asked you out on a semi-date, he took you to the movies

It was a cliche, and he knew that, but there was a movie coming out that he thought you'd like

It ended up being slightly disappointing, but he promised to make it up to you with a real date

You didn't really want anything so it was a night on the streets, when you didn't have any training

Stopping at food carts when you got hungry, going into convince stores for snack runs, and just talking while you walked different blocks

The night ended with a kiss, yet another cliche, but if it was him, you were a sucker for anything he did

It wasnt exactly official, until one particular training day with Aizawa where Shinso kept teasing you

"You two fight like an old married couple, you make even me feel young with the way you fight."

"Maybe 'married' is too far fetched, maybe later. But for now, I can definitely settle for 'girlfriend'."

With the way he had you simping for him??
