Introduction post
Hi, I'm Diana, she/her and I currently live in Italy.
I'm asexual, with chronic illness, social anxiety and possibly ADHD, and I'm relatively new to Hellenic polytheism.
Devotee to Apollo, Aphrodite and Hades.
I worship also Ares, Persephone, Zeus and Hephaestus.
I love doing spell jars, and reading my oracle or tarot cards, even if I am still learning.
I'd love to connect to other devotees, so feel free to contact me.

Thank you for reblogging some Hephaestus posts to my dash! I'm a new (and still very much learning) devotee of his, and it was such a pleasant surprise to see. I don't often see, even on Hellenic polytheist blogs, too much of him, so it was a little sweetness that was nice to see.
(Thank you for your blog, too, it's been a great little resource and place to scroll!)
I'm so glad I could bring you some joy! If you're looking for worshippers of Hephaestus on here, I believe @fireandfennel is a devotee of Hephaestus and sometimes talks about him/shares posts of him. I wish you the best on your journey. May the light of Hephaestus' forge guide your way, if you so wish.

💕Yandere Aphrodite💕 🌹 Yandere Aphrodite 🌹
[I saw somebody ask for Aphrodite, the thought of a yandere Aphrodite sounded interesting. so I said screw it! lets give it a shot.] 💌 Greetings, devotees of the divine realm! Allow me to regale you with the intoxicating tale of the goddess of love and beauty, the incomparable Aphrodite. In this enthralling narrative, the goddess, renowned for her unparalleled beauty, takes center stage in a story woven with passion, possessiveness, and the pursuit of undying devotion.
💖Aphrodite, the literal epitome of the popular girl everyone desires, revels in the attention bestowed upon her by mortals and gods alike. In this tale, her heart's desire is focused on one devoted follower—perhaps, a mortal caught in the web of her enchantment.
💝 The goddess thrives on the adoration and attention you shower upon her. Vanity is no secret to her, and the conflicts that arise from her insatiable need for attention bring her a twisted satisfaction. 🥅 Her goal is clear: to be the most beautiful and sought-after goddess, and she expects nothing less than your unwavering infatuation.
💛 As her chosen devotee, you hold a unique place in her divine heart. She demands constant reassurance that she is the most beautiful creation in your eyes, expecting you to worship her above all else. Your love, loyalty, and eternal devotion become the pillars on which her divine satisfaction rests.
💢 Aphrodite's jealousy, a force to be reckoned with, drives her to ensure that all eyes, especially yours, remain fixated on her divine allure. "What's hers is hers," she declares, and she will go to great lengths, even incite wars, to protect what belongs to her. The goddess strategically maneuvers divine alliances, using her connections to safeguard both your well-being and her cherished status.
💍 The narrative takes a dramatic turn as Aphrodite finds herself forced into marriage with Hephaestus. Yet, this does not deter her passion. She keeps you close, a loyal servant who occupies a more intimate role in her life. Sneaking into your bed chambers, sharing moments of laughter and intimacy, she reveals a softer side beneath her divine exterior.
💦 Bathing rituals become a shared experience, a blend of sensuality and genuine connection. Aphrodite, beyond her seductive persona, delights in these softer moments, showcasing a multifaceted aspect of her character. As her devoted servant, you attend to her every need, reciprocating the pampering she bestows upon you.
⚠️ Aphrodite, unapologetically possessive, places your relationship in the open, defying even the bonds of marriage. She cares not for the opinions of others, as long as they understand the boundaries: she alone has the right to touch, kiss, and bring pleasure to you. Her wrath awaits anyone foolish enough to challenge this divine decree.
The goddess, in her passion, occasionally resorts to punishment. Be it a touch of roughness or a sensual retribution, she expresses her desires with a fiery intensity, which are punishments and may involve a mix of physical and sexual intensity. From slapping you to overstimulating or denying your pleasure, she orchestrates scenarios that reinforce her dominance. Silk bindings become an elegant tool in her sensual games.
Yet, as your devotion deepens, the need for punishment wanes, for you have already learned your place—by her side, an existence entwined with hers.
Thus concludes the tale of Yandere Aphrodite, a goddess of love and beauty, whose divine influence intertwines with the mortal realm in a captivating dance of passion, possessiveness, and undying devotion.
May her allure forever captivate your hearts. 💖

I was going through your blog because it's kind of a comfort zone for me as a reminder that I'm ok on my path. I've begun to understand more of the history of the church and how my relationship with God is mine alone.
Reading through your blog I noticed a post where you talked about getting a visit from the Greek gods. That got me thinking, what is your relationship with them? Recently I've been think a lot about Aphrodite because she reached out to me about a chord cutting spell to help me with an abusive ex.
I got nervous because although I've given offerings to Athena and Hades it was mainly for help with schoolwork and motivation. But I feel... A really close relationship or calling with the Greek gods, particularly Aphrodite and Apollo (though he's a dragon slayer so I gotta walk on eggshells because I work with dragons).
I wanted to know your opinion on God seeing us work with other gods because I felt warmth and kindness from Aphrodite the same way I feel it from Our Lady of Guadalupe. And my best friend said the verse "thou shalt have no other god before me" is better interpreted as God being my patron first and foremost, other gods are not as important but can still be worked with. What's your opinion? Because I'm scared I will offend God but at the same time I feel very welcomed by some other gods.
Me, Hestia, and Hephaestus have had an ongoing dance for quite some time. If I wasn’t a Christian witch they would be my Deities ( had Hecate show up recently which was weird but fun)
I respect them and though I do not hold them to the standard at which I hold the Holy Trinity I do sometimes drop an offering or something just to acknowledge them and let them know I still have a spot for them in my heart.
The main thing that keeps me from putting them in my practice is respect. I feel they deserve to have the full respect that comes with being a Deity and if I am placing God above them then I will be unable to give them the respect they deserve.
Will that stop me from putting a small shrine to them in the house? No. I still like to pay my respects to them I just know that I can’t give them what a full devotee can.

Ptah
Lord of the Sky; Lord of the Two Lands; Lord of Truths; Lord of Sunrise; Father of Fathers; Power of Powers
Origin: Egypt
In the beginning was the word. That phrase is now familiar as the first line of the Gospel of John, but is also familiar to devotees of Ptah, Creator of the World. He is the architect of the universe whose first building blocks were thought and speech. He is a primordial deity from the earliest epochs. Ptah means the “opener” but not only in the literal sense of opening a window or door. The word was used in the context of carving, chiseling, or engraving, which the Egyptians perceived as opening up the powers of stone or metal. Ptah is the patron of stone and metalworkers. Ptah is the craftsman of the universe. He fashions new bodies for souls in the Next Realm. Ptah was credited with inventing the Opening of the Mouth Ceremony, the ritual expected to reanimate the deceased. The Greeks and Romans identified Ptah with Hephaestus and Vulcan respectively
𓂃⊹ Iconography: Ptah is portrayed as a bearded man shrouded in a close-fitting garment or as a bearded mummy. He is entirely bound: only his hands project from a front opening. He may wear a menat amulet symbolic of joy, pleasure, and fertility. 𓂃⊹ Attributes: A scepter that combines several amuletic forms, including an ankh and djed pillar (See also: Osiris); builder’s tools 𓂃⊹ Consorts: Bastet, Sekhmet, and/or Wadjet. 𓂃⊹ Jewel: Lapis lazuli 𓂃⊹ Planet: Sun 𓂃⊹ Sacred site: Memphis, Egypt 𓂃⊹ Creatures: Rats
Ptah was lord of truth, and the patron god of sculptors and craftsmen (since he was considered to have sculpted the earth). he created the first mound of earth from Nu by imagining it in his heart and breathed life into things with his voice
Besides his role as creator of the universe, Ptah was also a master builder. He created the arts of stoneworking and architecture that allowed the Egyptians to build the tombs of the Valley of the Kings and, later, the pyramids. Ptah also ruled smithing and metalworking, sculpture, art, carpentry, and shipbuilding. Ptah’s priests were also often talented crafters, and were sought after for their advice and wisdom. Some became influential builders and advisors to the royal family, or even married into the royal family themselves.
Because of his association with tomb craftsmanship Ptah was also part of Egyptian funeral ceremonies. He was said to have created the important Opening of the Mouth ritual, which was a part of Egyptian mummification procedures. The Opening of the Mouth had to be performed to allow the mummy to use its mouth in the afterlife, so it could speak, breathe, and eat. The Opening of the Mouth was meant to represent Ptah’s own origin, when he used his mouth to speak the universe into existence.
Ptah was married to the lion goddess of war, Sekhmet, and their children were Nefertum, a god of healing and medicine, and Maahes, another war god. Ptah, Sekhmet, and Nefertum were the three most important gods in Memphis. Imhotep, a brilliant engineer, astronomer, and physician who lived in the 27th century BCE, was said to be Ptah’s adopted son, and became worshiped as a god himself after his death

Ohhh a Celtic AND Hellenic omnitheist!!! That’s so cool!! I’ve been debating dabbling with Norse paganism but I’ve been a bit reluctant, I’m unsure if any of the deities over there would take interest in me, but either way it would be fun to research and learn about -🐈‍⬛
(Don’t mind me spamming your inbox, if it’s bothersome just lmk!)
Spam away! And yeah! i was primarily working in the Celtic Pantheon before i started studying and learning about hellenism, and then I had short stints working with both Apollo and Hephaestus. (Just short lessons or messages they needed me to pass). I'm currently preparing to become a devotee of Lady Eris, which is both nerve wracking and super exciting.

Does anyone else feel that what the ancients said Hera did and felt towards Hephaestus was untrue? I’ve always viewed her as kind, open, maternal. And I think the ancients projected their own feelings, biases, views of disabled people as dirty or unwanted onto her. As they have done with stories of rape and misogyny. I choose to believe that even if there was discourse and hesitation towards him, she loved her son.
I feel, from Hera, a request to be better. Kinder. Respectful. To endure without malice, despite what the ancients say she may have done to Zeus’s lovers.
