I only just realized that in season three, Mike was like “hey why are you donating your D&D books? How will you play?” And Will just basically went “There is no point in playing D&D without you, so I just won’t play until we see each other again, and i’ll use yours.”
and then Mike went and joined a new D&D group while Will was gone.

I love how Gareth sits in this scene with his hands like Mr Burns 🙏, such a good cute little second in command energy. Then he gets so mad mirroring Eddie.
I mean look at this lil henchman he's ready to go to war for Eddie.
Jeff's their calm mediator of their hairbrainned schemes.

Thinking about starting a fun little side project where I do ‘Hellfire Gala’ inspired high fashion outfits for some of the X-men and Marvel characters…thoughts?
They’re be just quick warm-up sort of concept sketches. I just think it would be interesting to do. :]

Okay but actually if Jeff is Steve's bi awakening pre-s4 the idea that Steve is totally on board with Hellfire, possibly has actually been roped into a D&D game or two, and is like chill/friends with Jeff or whatever but both Eddie and Steve are still jealous of each other bc of Dustin?? Fucking hilarious to me

The party really made fun of Will for being so into DnD that he dresses up as Will the Wise but willingly wore DnD club shirts to a high school full of bullies just because one super senior metalhead said so.

fun update: mike’s s4 hair was confirmed to have been inspired by eddie’s, as we had previously theorized. let’s take a look at what the incredible stylist sarah hindsgaul said regarding what she went for this season!
let’s think about who eddie was in s4:
a dungeon master. a metalhead. a senior. extremely queer coded. someone who stood up for people who were hurting or outcast and helped/protected them. someone willing to be a hero. someone who gave approximately negative 12 fucks about social norms & expectations—both in local society and national society.
now, read that above description, and think about those traits being incorporated into s5 mike wheeler, post-time jump.
you’re welcome.
hellfire mike, it’s your time.
