Yes. Gib Snyder backstory
C/W: child trafficking
OKAY :D
For context, the guy playing Snyder either works or used to work with nonprofits and is very familiar with the worst parts of how orphanages work, so he's drawing from people he really knew...
ALRIGHT. So Snyder started life as the only child of a very poor couple, but around 9 or 10 they both died very abruptly. Young Snyder was sent to live with his uncle, who ran an orphanage known as The Refuge.
Snyder's uncle had no family of his own, so he immediately started training his nephew to take over The Refuge, something Snyder had absolutely no interest in, but he also had little desire to try anything else. Running the orphanage was at least a guaranteed job, and when he learned as a teenager that the government paid for every child kept in The Refuge he became a lot more interested.
Snyder honestly saw himself as no different from the orphans - after all, he was one too. But instead of this fostering empathy he instead looked down on them. If he had managed to become successful, then the fact they were just wasting space was a sign of their own worthlessness, and he was quick to dehumanize them all in his mind. At the end of the day, Snyder looks out for himself, and all he cares about is making money so he never has to be like his parents or uncle.
Under his leadership The Refuge expanded exponentially, increasing the number of children they accepted and thus increasing the amount of money he was getting from the government for their upkeep. As Jack notes, none of that money went into The Refuge - it all went straight into Snyder's lavish lifestyle. And yet he wasn't satisfied.
Men like Snyder have a way of finding each other, and the man soon secured connections that allowed him to open a little side business out the back of the orphanage. People would pay good money for kids that no one would miss, and Snyder had his pick of children that fit the description perfectly.

pardon me i'm just overwhelmed by wang yibo (as usual)
It's just, this kid, THIS KID, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND LET ME EXPLAIN
— he has to battle his way up through the ranks of YG to get to debut, in another country, away from his parents, while barely a teenager, all while learning a second language, and he not only does it, but according to legend he and Lisa are the only two foreign idols in YG history to graduate the program with all As
— and then his debut gets canceled and he has to go back to China and Yuehua and restart his entire career without much support at all from his agency, and he just does it, he starts the grind all over and just fucking does it
— he isn't even Yuehua's first choice for Day Day Up's new host competition, and they submit him only because he speaks Korean and that's good for the show, but then Wang Han sees him backstage one day and sees how hard he's working on his dance routine and immediately knows that Yibo is their next host, and not only is he an incredible addition to the show, but he stays on DDU longer than he reasonably should given how massively famous he gets, and he's so beloved that when he returns for Hunan's 2022 NYE concert, the network rolls out the red carpet and treats him like he's their hometown son and Wang Han is like, "Our Yibo has come home" (And Luoyang is the girlfriend in the distracted boyfriend meme lol but ykwim)
— he has to submit his comp shots twice just to even get an audition before anyone takes him seriously for The Untamed!! Except then the moment they see him, they immediately know he's their Lan Zhan
— he's the "pretty idol" throwaway captain for SDC3 and you can tell this when you watch the editing for the first episode because the comments for Yibo are all about how hot he is, and he comes in last place after the first captain's dance, and it's clear nobody really takes him seriously, but then the second he opens his street auditions, the tone of the entire show changes and from then on, for the next two seasons, he is completely unstoppable, his talent and intelligence and strategic thinking and competitive drive are so raw and exciting to watch that he basically takes over the entire show, the ratings more than double from s2 to s3, his fandom grows even more massive, and the dancers all fucking LOVE HIM. like dude he wins street dance of china so hard that within three seasons he's basically co-producing it and he's literally given a writing credit.
— The director of Being a Hero doesn't think he's old or mature enough to play Chen Yu and then Yibo sits down and talks to him about why he wants the role and the director realizes that Yibo basically is Chen Yu, he's the focused hard-working persevering single-minded actor of his dreams, and Yibo winds up giving a performance so moving it makes the director cry and declare, "That? That's acting."
— he jumps from no ranking at all to 9th place to #2!!!!!! within TWO YEARS on the Forbes China 100 Most Powerful people list between 2019 and 2021
— Duhua famously didn't take him seriously or treat him well for most of their long contractual relationship, oh shit, because now according to YH's latest investor report for Q3-4 2022, he singlehandedly brings in 90% of the profit for her entire company, a shareholder, the "top talent," and the one who has to pay whenever Uniq gets together because he's "the boss"
— Yibo goes from being the SDC underdog to being so respected that when Da Peng is looking for a dancer to star in his street dance movie, he asks all the best street dancers what actor is capable of doing the moves, and they all unanimously tell him: Wang Yibo. Da Peng winds up telling the press on Weibo Film night 2022 that he wrote the whole movie for Yibo, and that "if there's no Yibo, there's no movie"
— Cheng Er, director of Wuming, claims he has no idea who Yibo is, and just decided to cast him in a supporting role in his film because he looks the part of a Republic-era spy. And then he sees Yibo act, and he sees Yibo immerse himself in the part, and he sees how hard Yibo is willing to work and how committed he is, and he rewrites his entire movie until Wang Yibo is the main fucking character; Wang Yibo, in his first major film debut, acts his way into the lead and earns rave reviews from across the globe, including the goddamn new york times
Every time you think people will have finally figured out that you do not underestimate Wang Yibo, you learn of some new example where Yibo, once again, has had to prove himself in an industry that perpetually writes him off and doesn't take him seriously at first — only for the people around him to be absolutely blown away by his talent and dedication and mesmerizing star power.
And this happens over and over and over again. And he just does the work, always, every time, without complaint, and every time the result is something surprising and unexpected and fantastic and such a mark of his incredible passion and talent
— and every time I think my heart can't possibly grow any more sizes over Yibo, he proves me wrong

I was wondering if you could do a mm Mikey x reader who is like really involved in the fine arts? (Stuff like singing, dancing, and acting) Maybe reader does musical theatre or songwriting? Is on the dance team? Or maybe on the improve team with him? It’s up to you but I just think it’d be really cute! I’d prefer a fem reader but you can do a gn reader if you’re more comfortable with that!
Thank You!🫶
hi hi anon!! this is such a cute request, & I figured it'd be more fun to explore in a headcanon format, so I hope you don't mind :)

Mutant Mayhem; Michelangelo / Fem!Reader Content Warnings: N/A
Summary: A girl in Mikey's Public Speaking class catches his attention, and he decides he needs hers in return.
✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Though he was more than excited to dive into his improv elective, Mikey was just a little apprehensive about the iceberg that was Eastman's performance and fine arts courses.
They weren't massively funded, it wasn't a great school mind you, but it WAS a big one. There were so many people and so many groups, he found it a bit arduous to know where to start.
So he started small.
He took a public speaking course for his first semester, figuring it was a good start without taking a headlong dive.
That was where he met you.
You were so cool!!
Mikey admired you so much when you met, seeing your confidence in every silly exercise or warmup your class did.
While his brothers made their goals around grades and extra-curriculars, Mikey's number one top-of-the-list plan was to get your attention.
and like.. let's be real, it's true of all of the Mutant Mayhem boys that he made a complete fool of himself trying.
so many jokes that fell flat... So many gags that went nowhere......
but like, humor was his thing! If he couldn't impress you with that, he was never going to.
Fortunately, you didn't require all too much pandering. As soon as Mikey flat out asked to hang out with you, you were happy to accept.
Let me tell you, Mikey's so excited for you when it comes to every school production that you're a part of.
Even if you get screwed over in casting, you KNOW he's still gonna drag his brothers to that musical.
"Dude, she doesn't even have a speaking part, why are we here?"
"Wow, Don, I thought YOU of all people would appreciate good choreography."
When he eventually asks you out, it's a whole affair.
Unlike Donnie, he's confided in his entire family about his crush, and you can definitely expect some odd looks from all three of his brothers in the time that hes working up the nerve to ask you out.
He shows up to a study date one day with a pizza and one of those heart teddy bears you get on valentines day.
"hey so, like, It's.. Totally cool if you don't vibe with this, but. I like you. Like... a lot?"
He tries to downplay it-- he really values your friendship, and if you don't feel the same he doesn't want you to feel weird about it.
When you tell him that you do reciprocate, he gets so excited.
He.. definitely forgot to actually bring his backpack and stuff to this study date, since he was pretty distracted with the whole confession thing.
When you eventually step foot in the lair, prepare for his entire family to place their attention on you. Every single one of his cousins is going to want to meet you, and naturally Splinter is going to have to sit you down.
Prepare for the whole "What are your intentions with my son." Talk. Splinter doesn't care that you're a girl, he's protective!
But once he's deemed you a good fit, you're practically part of the family.
As the two of you have been dating for longer, expect him to start following you into your extra-curriculars more.
Mikey is taking a shot at everything! If there's something you're auditioning for, he's two steps behind you.
In short, he adores you, and he owes a lot of his growth to you! He's really come out of his shell since meeting you, hehe.

Does Creon have a role in the episode Cupstaged? 🙂
Of course!
She's Cat Man
Tumblr media
Initially, she was stage crew. But after seeing the disastrous auditions, and Creon intervening before each disaster, Sally decided Creon was a good fit. Creon objected. She didn't want to take the part that both Mugman and Cuphead wanted. But seeing how no one else was available, she decided that she'd compromise by playing Cat-man. She already committed to being the back-up in case no one auditioned for Cat-Man.
Since Sally picked herself as "Cup Rogers," Creon proposed that they improvise the script a bit. Sally was all for it. Creon also managed to recruit volunteers who were more than happy to be part of backstage crew. They needed a few extra sets and prop pieces and some puppeteers to puppet the demented cat puppets. Cuphead and Mugman got to help make some new impromptu set pieces. The Devil refused to participate, being a sore loser and everything.
Since the main roles were all taken, only a few volunteers were willing to stay and be part of backstage crew. The puppies from the “Flying Aces” boss fight were more than happy to puppet the cat puppets and switch between backstage crew. Willy Warbles wanted to try in some way to participate, but he wasn’t so sure found more comfort working backstage, especially with the hodge-podge synthesizer that Dr.Kahl accidentally made.
In this AU, I’d like to think they had a few days before the first showing, rather the next day or even that night. I know it’s a cartoon, but that’s kind of ridiculous. So Creon would have time, albeit a little time crunch, to recruit Dr, Kahl and Werner Werman to create some stage props. She’s had to rein in their insanity so they wouldn’t go overboard or adding unnecessary bells and whistles. The automaton helped transport the heavier props to the theater. He also wanted to participate in some way. For those familiar with the film “Iron Giant,” the automaton was able to control his detachable hand remotely and help backstage.
Tumblr media
Mugman still has some stage-fright, but he managed to puppet some of the sock puppets. The first showing and the next few showings were a huge success. Despite playing the villain, Creon’s performance was fun and captivating, that the audience loved her just as much as Cup Rogers. Creon just borrowed a lot from anime villains, Broadway, along whatever bits of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai she remembers.
Elder Kettle enjoyed the show and was really proud of both the boys and Creon. Cuphead actually had fun working backstage, especially since it was really challenging to go from one cue to another. Mugman was extremely proud of the fact that he didn’t freeze up working as a puppeteer. Willy’s dad is proud listening to his son rock out on the synthesizer and the puppies had loads of fun.
The Devil...the Devil was shocked at the overall performance, and the reception of Catman. He didn’t think people would eventually sympathize for the villain near the end. Now he feels like he missed out.

Hi @babyyourelemonade !
Your link.
Thank you for sending me this. I'd seen the clip myself already, of Ukrainian civilians singing in concert during a power outage caused by the Russian state destroying civilian power stations, water lines, phone towers... items needed for basic survival through what is on record to be one of the coldest winters in 30 years.
But you sending me this clip was a pleasant reminder that some people haven't forgotten this senseless war is going on. I've written on this blog before about the war, I've mentioned my friend was in Ukraine volunteering and trying to help a mother locate her son (I didn't specify at the time, but the boy was 9 years old), and about my friend's daughter too. For anyone who remembers those posts, here's an update: we found the boy, and maybe for some cosmic reason I'm not meant to understand, the boy had passed. He's gone and won't have to suffer the pain of the injuries we found him with anymore, and for that I'm thankful. We still haven't found the girl, but at least there's hope she's still here. My friend, after returning briefly to Canada for personal treatment, then France to see friends and family, is now back in Ukraine and will be volunteering through the winter.
The clip of the concert you sent to me shows a crowd of people with a courage I can't even imagine. Nobody asked, but in my opinion, regardless of the outcome of this war, the winners have already been decided and they include every soul in that concert hall.
Winters in Eastern Europe are particularly harsh, so for anyone so inclined, you can donate directly to provide relief here. This initiative is fairly transparent with how funds are disbursed, based on the last time I checked an audit which was in September 2022.
I know most of my followers are here for BTS, but I hope from the way I write, down to the frequency of when I write here, it's clear that I'm still very much plugged in and active with a whole slew of things outside of BTS, k-pop, etc in real life. I know that's also true for all of you who are dealing all sorts of things in your personal lives, but @babyyourelemonade, you giving me a reason to highlight this issue here again, in our BTS space, does mean something to me.
Thank you again.

Amanda’s Family
disclaimer: none of the photos are mine but the collages are and none of these photos included the actual face claim of my oc. this is just to give a idea of the relationships
warnings: briefly mentions drinking and antis
a/n: i did this for my other oc (@svt-vivi) and decided i should do one for amanda. so here is amanda's family and their dynamics
masterlist
taglist: @skzfairies, @3nhyp3nn [send an ask if you want to be on/off the taglist :)]
❀Dad❀: Rohan Madduri
Tumblr media
age: 1966
career: indian restaurant owner
contact name: dada🥸💖
she has a very close relationship w/ her father
he kept her in touch with her indian heritage by teaching her the language and cooking some spectacular indian food
they go on movie dates often -> he usually calls her when there's a new indian film out and now that she's of age they go for drinks after to catch up
although it took him some time to fully accept her becoming an idol (he wanted her to be a doctor), he always supported her and cheered her up on tough days while she was a trainee
her mom sent a video of him crying when atz got their first win
atinys absolutely love him bc like father like daughter he is a totally savage
when he calls her on her bday lives it often them bickering and atinys find it hilarious
also when he comes to atz concerts, he's always friendly w/ atinys and dancing along and having a blast
he always says the boys are the sons he never had
although he says she is his favorite, she catches him calling jongho more often than her
mostly bc they both are huge soccer fanatics
❀Mom❀: Shin Bora
Tumblr media
age: 1970
career: accountant
contact name: mama👑💞
her mom is a tad bit more overprotective of amanda compared to her dad as her mom considered amanda her miracle child
they can communicate w/ each other w/o even saying anything
both of them aren't really the type to say ily openly often
instead they do it through actions such as checking up on each other, making sure the other is healthy, bringing food, etc.
her mom was also against her becoming an idol mostly bc she knew how hard idol life is and she knew amanda would face strong backlash for her skin tone
she didn't want to see her daughter suffer bc of that
but once she saw how determined amanda was and when she saw her perform for the first time, she became incredibly proud of her daughter
they also spend a lot of time together watching mystery/crime shows and doing jigsaw puzzles
always monitoring on atz's schedule, knows their schedule better than amanda does
her mom loves all the members and treats them like her sons as well
but she has mention she is a fan of yunho bc she thinks he's really sweet correct
❀Grandma❀: Shin Eunchae
Tumblr media
age: 1937
contact name: grandma eunnie👵🏻💕
she has always been pretty close w/ her grandma since her family would try to visit her yearly
amanda would help take care of her grandma when she wasn't busy with school or training
her grandma loves to spoil her like crazy and always want to buy her things
but amanda isn't a very materialistic person instead she likes spending time w/ her
so you can often find the two together in the living room making commentaries while watching korean dramas
her grandma was the one that helped convince her parents to let her audition as an idol when they were fully against it
she loves all the boys equally and always openly expresses how handsome they are correct
❀Dog❀: Shin Oreo
Tumblr media
breed: Maltese
age: 2012
after years of begging, her parents finally gave in and brought home Oreo for her one day
12yr old amanda was ecstatic to come home from school to find a dog laying on her bed
12yr amanda also wasn’t the most creative when coming up w/ names for him but she still loves it nonetheless
growing up w/ amanda got Oreo to have similar personality like her such as a sassy attitude
honestly she should have named her prince instead bc he think he is one
since amanda lives in the dorm and she doesn’t get to see him often and he’s slowly becoming more of her parents pet than hers now
but when she visits home he’s over the moon and it so precious when they meet again

top five things that happened in gotham
oh god fuck I don't REMEMBER anything that happened in Gotham I didn't even watch it all
when Fish Mooney was auditioning girls to ??? psychosexually torture an old mob boss by reminding him of his mom or something?? and part of the audition was making out with Fish lmao what??? girl you can't do that that has to be illegal. I know you spend every day killing people and giving Oswald Cobblepot swirlies but there has to be a line. this is a hostile workplace. there's a special place in hell for women who make other women tongue them down to get a job.
the gay social event of the YEAR ie Oswald and Ed breaking up without ever even dating because Oswald killed the kinky librarian who was a doppelganger of Ed's ex girlfriend that he murdered and then Ed told him he was terminally unfuckable. I'm 99% sure that's how it happened. and then Oswald turned him into a fucking conversation piece in his nightclub??? MESSY. all future gay brunches RUINED. the DRAMA the PANACHE the way every annoying homosexual rogue's messenger apps must have been on literal fire that day??? exquisite. that was camp.
uuuuh god fuck did Victor Zsasz ever show hole. that sounds like something he would do. he should have. I would have kept watching the show specifically for that. but in the absence of that I will count literally every time Anthony Carrigan was onscreen being a certified little freak because that was really sincerely hot. I have problems.
do you guys remember when some guy who was like ??? running for mayor maybe and probably fucking his sister decided to honeytrap Bruce Wayne for some reason but Bruce was like 10 so it was just him and a pre-pubescent girl awkwardly existing in the same vicinity as each other? and also that girl's name was SILVER ST. CLOUD??? which is insane for sure but like. listen. she is REAL she's an actual existing DC Comics character who I think was one of Bruce Wayne's very first disposable fake girlfriends way back in like 1939 so having her be one of Bruce's first love interests in the show is kind of a clever nod to that but. uh. her name is SILVER ST. CLOUD which raises more questions about this world than the serial killer who offed people by tying them to extra-strong helium balloons as if he was inspired by that Senan Byrne vine.
also that episode where they got tired of beating around the bush and not using regular degular batman villains and broke out the Scarecrow but he turned out to be a shitty proto Scarecrow who was the mainline Scarecrow's FATHER and Jonathan Crane ie the future Scarecrow was just this gawky pale teenager. I have to assume that when he Scarecrows up in like 10 years the GCPD's first stop will be the son of the guy who was doing this last time, which seems like it's really going to take a lot of mystery out of the whole affair. this one is actually a shitty #5 it wasn't even funny. I'm sorry.

"Back to the Future": Thoughts, commentary, and general ramblings on the (bonkers) novel by George Gipe. Pt 2
Part 1 here.
- Chapter 2 opens with a brief introduction of Doc and his various scientific obsessions over the years, including: the mind-reading helmet, a theory that gold can be mined by super heating the surface of the Earth, and determining a person's age by studying their fingernails? Ok, Doc.
- Contrary to movie-Marty's total silence in the presence of Biff, book-Marty is a sass machine to him, replying to Biff's complaint of spilling beer on himself in the car with, "Maybe the judge who hears you were drinking while driving will pay for it," and soon after making a comment about the cheap suit Biff is wearing. Get him, Marty. And again, this version of Marty is very confident. He's clearly gone head to head with Biff on other occasions if he feels comfortable enough to mouth off like that. This isn't a kid who's going to allow a grown man to call him a butthead. This is a Marty who's about 2 seconds away from throwing hands with Biff Tannen on the front lawn.
- We get a little glance into George's mind and his guilt at not being a more "macho" role model for his sons or being the type of father who taught them how to fight and stand up for themselves or cheer them on at baseball games, etc. But he also notes his relief at the fact that neither Dave nor Marty ever showed interest in sports anyway, which is a little tidbit I appreciate since I've always held the headcanon that Marty McFly has never voluntarily played a sport in his life. And I was RIGHT. Look at Marty and tell me you can picture him picking up a basketball or kicking a single soccer ball aside from being forced to in P.E. classes. He's the kid who can beat any one of his classmates in a schoolyard foot-race, but that's the extent of his athleticism.
- At the dinner table, Marty and Dave play a cute little game of reciting the lines to the Honeymooners episode before the actors can say them, something that is said to be a routine between the two of them since they've seen it so many times. Lorraine gets annoyed and tells them to knock it off and let George watch it in peace. But I enjoy the image of the two brothers bonding at dinner by quoting the dialogue to whatever episode happens to be on each evening.
- Also, Lorraine smiles at Marty and asks about his audition, and when he says it didn't go well, the family rallies around him to cheer him up?? Dave says the audition was probably fixed from the start, and Lorraine says she thinks Marty's band is very good and that she doubts any of the other bands were better than him. Which is just such a contrast to the dinner scene in the movie. I have to wonder if, by the time they were shooting with MJF, these little lines and moments were simply cut due to time constraints (because they made the scene too long or because of Michael's limited availability) or if they just decided, this family is too put together and supportive, let's make them sadder.
- George is really the only Debbie Downer of the scene, going on an even longer rant about all the headaches and stress that come from taking risks and pursuing music. In fact, he brings up so many bummer scenarios that Marty is like, Well, maybe I should just go lie in bed and wait for death to take me? Since being alive only brings problems. Which kind of. Sucks the warm fuzzies right out of the previous moment with his family, doesn't it?
- I guess "Hello, Is Anybody Home?" from the musical took some inspiration from the draft this novel is based on, because Lorraine's words of advice to Linda involve, "It's just bound to happen, like the sun's supposed to come up tomorrow morning," and the musical's line is, "She tells me it'll happen, that the sun will rise and the stars will shine."
- Marty is VERY chatty during this whole dinner scene--mostly making snarky comments and jokes while his mother talks about Uncle Joey and how she and George met. Like...he will not shut up. Got something to say every 4 seconds. Channeling his inner Alex P. Keaton, it seems. Very different from movie-Marty, who sits there silently like a sad little cardboard cutout.
- When Doc later calls to wake Marty up, asks him to pick up the video camera, and tells him the key is still in it's usual spot, Marty points out that it isn't a very good place for a key and the first place a burglar would look. To which Doc notes that the garage is such a disaster, nobody would think to rob him anyway. And this whole exchange delights me because it's almost identical to one I wrote in one of my (unpublished) fics.
- We are told that one night, when Marty snuck out of the house to meet up with his bandmates, Lorraine heard the sound of his skateboard heading down the street and proceeded to chase Marty down in her car. Which gives me a delightful mental image of Marty's eyes going wide with fear as he glances back on a dark street only to be met with blindingly bright headlights as his mother barrels towards him.
- It's when Marty is at the garage to get the camera that we get the scene of all the clocks going off, and there's this line I like a lot: "A smile spread across his face, for he never tired of hearing this strange symphony arranged and orchestrated by the world's most fanatical timekeeper, Doc Brown." So sweet.
- As Einstein begins his trip in the DeLorean, Marty hopes that no police officers come to investigate because it would be very embarrassing to have to arrest "a reckless-driving dog."
- Doc doesn't want to give Marty the exact details of how he procured the plutonium, and when Marty keeps pressing for answers, Doc goes, "What are you, a federal agent?" LOL
- Marty doesn't think it's a good idea for Doc to go into the future. He's concerned society might be run by an army of robots and that they'll take Doc prisoner. Very valid concerns, Marty.
Aaand, that concludes chapters 2 & 3.

How does Episode 9, "The Royal Blacksmiths" go down in the Cole Garmadon AU?
👀
Basically, it starts out normal.
The Snake Tribes (that Pythor unleashed- cause a part of his tomb collapses, allowing him to escape without Lloyd's input) are looking for the Fangblades and they find out it's attached to the trophy.
The Ninja are looking and also recognize the trophy. And Cole is fine and all. They realize they need a way to get backstage to even get close to the trophy, so they decide to fake an act in order to get in.
This is where the episode changes.
When the Ninja go up for their audition, the judges for accepting acts are none other than the Royal Blacksmiths. Deciding to step back that year due to Lou's ankle injury and the quiet turmoil Lou is in.
In canon, this may have been the show where Cole first flubbed the Triple Tiger Sashay.
But in the AU, the time of the yearly talent show is when Cole disappeared.
Lou was so absorbed by his own grief of losing Lilly and burying himself in his career that it took the announcer saying that Cole was a no-show for Lou to realize all too late that Cole was gone. He thought that maybe Cole had stage fright and looked for him around the theater. Called him to show up, even went home to "encourage" his son to go on stage.
But after hours of looking, Lou broke down in front of his quartet. His 12 year-old son was missing, and as far as he knew, he'd never see Cole ever again.
When the Ninja go onstage to audition, Lou is suddenly hit with a huge wave of relief and confusion when he sees Cole. He doesn't know it's Cole immediately, but somehow in his heart, he knows that's his son.
The Ninja barely pass, Lou goes and offers his help so they can improve before the show. He feels compelled to. If just to get closer and find out whether or not he's found Cole.
Cole is hesitant, doesn't know if he can go through with it, but Jay helps him to calm down. The four agree to call Cole "Black" while they're around Lou as not to confirm anything to the old man.
And the plot kind of returns to normal, the four train, and eventually it gets to the point where they're backstage waiting for their act to be called.
Cole starts sweating and tells the others they gotta stick to the plan to steal the blade, and Lou overhears. Fighting ensues and Cole breaks.
He calls out Lou for being a shitty father. He calls Lou out for neglecting him. For leaving him at home alone. For never talking to him about Lilly. For leaving Cole alone to struggle with the loss of his own mother. For driving him to run away, to get away from it all.
Cole runs out crying, Jay soon follows and Lou is standing there in shock. Not even the overwhelming relief of finally getting the truth could battle the sting of guilt that he's tried to bury for 6 years.
Cole and Jay return after the two talk over Cole's remorse of causing a scene. Jay tells him "No, you didn't make a scene. You said what needed to be said." and kisses him. When they return, Kai and Zane tell them that Lou left in a haze and their act is called.
Performing, the Snakes try to sabotage but they fail, and Cole doesn't do the Triple Tiger Sashay.
And they don't win either. They get third (thanks to Pythor's piss judging) and they walk backstage preparing to jump whoever walks out with the Fang Blade trophy. But to their surprise, the trophy is missing the Fangblade. The Snakes (including Pythor, who reveals himself) wreak mayhem on the audience and the Ninja swoop in to stop them.
When the dust settles, Pythor tracks down Lou. Lou, having overheard the Ninja's plans to get the trophy, had taken the Fangblade off and was looking to find Cole and give it to his son. As the Ninja get backstage to where the Snakes are retreating, they see Pythor about to attack Lou for the Fangblade- and Cole gets between them.
Fighting between Cole and Pythor ends with Pythor knocking the overlead spotlights down and he escapes with the Fangblade, as Cole stays behind to keep the lights from crushing Lou.
Lou admits he was wrong for how he treated Cole back when, and Cole feeling vindicated, gains his true potential.
The episode concludes with Cole and Lou having lunch with Kai, Zane, Jay, and Lou's quartet after everything is done.
Lou apologizes to Cole, and Cole in a way apologizes for disappearing. Things are still rough between them, but they promise to meet up again sometime soon and start discussing everything they should've done years ago.
Cole goes home with the third-place prize of a tiny trophy,
and a small bouquet of lilies.

HI I SAW UR MANKAI SWAP AU AND I NEARLY DROPPED MY PHONE GETTING HERE!! SO ANW IM CURIOUS ABT THE 27 YEAR OLDS + 17 YEAR OLDS IN THIS PLEASE PLEASE GO HAM IN EXPLAINING IM SO INTRIGUED
HELP YOUR PHONE!!
this ask is SO sweet though i'm so excited. ask and you Shall Receive. For context, this is referencing art I did of Itaru and Masumi in the mAnkAi swAp AU , where ages get shuffled around.
Tumblr media
This got Really Long, so I'll place my explainations under the cut.
I'll start with the 27 year olds, because first and foremost I need to explain...
Juza Hyodo - This entire AU was started from one conversation: going off of how Sakyo saw a lot of his younger self in Juza, what would the reverse be like? What if Juza was the older yakuza, and Sakyo was the gruff teen
The whole deal with Kumon and his baseball team happens as in canon. However, in this verse, some members of the team get really pissed that Kumon 'made them lose' the championship, and attacked him in revenge.
Kumon needed expensive surgery to recover from his injuries - and the Hyodo family didn't have that kind of money. So Juza decided to join the yakuza to make that money, after a meeting with the chairman (the original one, not Azami).
Ever since joining the yakuza, Juza hasn't contacted his family, too ashamed by what he does, and too worried that it's come back to haunt them. Instead, he just sends them money every month - they realize he's alive, but they just can't find him.
His relationship with Sakoda (who remains the same age in this AU) is a lot more gentle and brotherly then the one Sakyo has with him - partially because Sakoda's youthful energy reminds him of Kumon.
Banri Settsu - The three people who made this AU are Juban and Sakyoizu shippers. So obviously, when we swapped out Juza for Sakyo, we had the realization that this would make Banri the director. And then the yeast really started to form in our minds.
Tumblr media
Desperate, he finds a help wanted listing for the Director of the MANKAI Company - a formerly prosperous company that’s now dead after its former director left a year ago. So he said fuck it, despite not having any experience in theater, because he just wanted anything - anything to make him feel passionate.
As a director, he’s definitely more lax then Izumi - where she would tell a kid to go to school if she saw them skipping, he’d just say “lmao you’ve made sure you have enough absences right kiddo”. He still definitely cares about all of the company, though. He is going to win at being the director of a theater company, something which is both normal to want and possible to achieve.
Sakuya Sakuma - Already a member of the company before Banri arrives, Sakuya is a freeter who was moved by 16 year old Matsukawa’s impassionate plea for actors, and decided to join the company because he realized he didn’t feel fulfilled in his life. His general vibe is still the same - it’s his hope to make everybody smile through his acting - but now he has Dad energy instead of Son energy.
And for the 17 year olds:
Itaru Chigasaki - The whole deal with his sister telling him to become a sickly prince and his subsequent friendship/fallout with Tonooka remain as in canon. We pick up his story right after he’s been exposed as being a fraud. So he’s in a pretty bad place: everybody in the school has turned against him, he’s back to having no friends, and he’s having to grapple with the horrifying prospect of keeping up this act his entire life. People began to hate him immediately after he showed his true self, just like his sister said. Was he going to have to play the prince forever? Was this his destiny?
When his gaming rival, NEO, made his ranking description “come audition @ mankai company” in on of the gacha games he played, Itaru decided to go. He was already at his lowest social standing. Even becoming a theater kid couldn’t bring him any lower. At least this way, he’d get out of the house.
Tumblr media
this is what I mean by “ranking description”, idk if that’s the right name for them.
Itaru’s conflict is about a) learning to abandon his princely character and b) learning that he doesn’t have to fear growing up. In Banri, he gets to see an adult who is unabashedly interested in video games and is still regarded as ‘responsible’. And um, having Banri as your role model probably isn’t the best idea? But like, he’s vibing.
Tasuku Takato and Tsumugi Tsukioka - I’m placing them together bc Do Not Seperate and also it’s easier to talk about the changes to their story with them together lol.
So, there’s no GOD-za seperation here - so no divorce arc. Instead, they’re still childhood best friends, and their main conflict is about getting into university. They’re both pushing themselves way too hard studying, because they want to go to the same fancy arts school - but they both have their own worries about what will happen if one of them gets rejected.
Thank you so much for asking this, and thank you so much for reading this far. I am constantly thinking about this and it means a lot that somebody out there would care!

Did you see the 2015 Jem movie? What did you think of it?
Other than the soundtrack (which is actually full of bops) and the crazy cool costumes and makeup, it sucks. I have a whole list of reasons actually
The directors and producers started a campaign telling fans to send video auditions for a chance to be casted in the movie, which turned out to be a lie as they had decided to cast actors from Hollywood. Additionally, in the behind-the-scenes, director Jon M. Chu lies again and says Aubrey Peeples (Jerrica/Jem) submitted an audition video for the campaign
Later they announce another video campaign, this time telling fans to submit videos about how much they loved Jem for a chance to be featured in the movie. What they didn't tell everyone is that in the final product those videos would be re-contextualized to make it seem as if they were talking about the movie version of the characters.
They needlessly padded the movie with random YouTube clips that were very out of place. I know this was part of the whole “online persona” thing that the movie attempts to talk about, but they’re actually very distracting and didn’t add much of anything.
They de-aged all of the characters to be 18 and under, when in the show everyone was in their 20′s except Kimber, who was the very youngest at 18. This was a big thing about the show because it was about strong women, not girls, in the music business that knew what they were doing. This change also came with the erasure of the Starlight Girls, both the foster program and the characters, and reducing Jerrica’s role from CEO of Starlight music to just another pop band leader.
Going off of that, Rio and Jerrica’s relationship is both better and way worse. It’s better that Rio is only a jerk for like half an hour and then he bonds with all of the girls pretty quickly (The “We Got Heart” scene) so it’s easier to root for him as a romantic interest for Jerrica. But at the same he’s the son of their manager (which by the way was also a very stupid decision) and then eventually their replacement manager, so it’s pretty inappropriate for them to start dating. Also he’s the one that names the band in the end and I hate that.
Kimber’s role was reduced to nothing more than “Jerrica’s sister” and “the keyboardist” when her character was so much more in the TV show. Kimber not only own half of the Starlight music company, but she was also the songwriter for the group, not Jerrica/Jem. She was the biggest creative contributor to the actual band and was the one that wanted music to be her full-time career, it wasn’t just “her job”, it was her life.
In addition to that, the movie keeps forgetting that she was Emmet’s daughter too, not just Jerrica!! In that stupid video message Jerrica is able to activate at the end he goes “You were my greatest achievement. Oh, and Kimber too”. I’m not even kidding, that’s how he says it!! And it sucks so much because in the show, Kimber was WAY more devastated about Emmet dying than Jerrica was, and didn't properly process her grief until season 2. Jerrica had to come to terms with their mother’s death, actually. Oh and WHERE WAS THEIR MOM IN THE MOVIE?
One more character that was completely reduced to nothing was Synergy. Now, she was VERY important in the cartoon. Not only was she a very advanced computer, capable of projecting realistic holograms, but she was also Emmet’s last gift of love for his daughters. Synergy was programed to also be a friend and guide, with bits of their mother’s personality thrown in to comfort them. In the movie its just a dumb little robot that displays clues and then a video message at the end and that’s it.
Eric Raymond is changed to Erica for...reasons? She also takes Jerrica’s earrings and locks them up instead of just telling her to take them off for no freaking reason other than to have a needless heist scene. It’s stupid and takes up precious runtime.
We get that stupid “the band breaks up” conflict in the middle of the movie when it could have been entirely avoided. All Jerrica had to say was “Hey our house is foreclosing so I need to sign this solo contract so we can get the money”. But she doesn’t!! She just waits until her first solo show when they all find out by listening in off-screen. Just..why?! Why did they do that?? And it only lasts for a few minutes, just one sad song and then maybe 3 minutes of moping and then BOOM all is forgiven!!
The whole thing with “social media” fame and “not letting corporations control you” was not executed well at all. I don’t think even the movie itself knew exactly what their lesson was supposed to be.
God I probably missed more details but it was SO BAD.

Of Rocks and Robots Ch. 21 - Fishing Trip
Tumblr media
"So what do you wanna do this weekend?" Hiro asked Varian.
The other boy only shrugged his shoulders as he had no idea.
It was Friday and they were both walking home from school while trying to make plans for the weekend. All of their other friends were either away or busy due to Father's Day coming up. Fred was going to accompany his dad on a mission. Gogo was driving down to her father's for a few days. Wasabi had bought plane tickets to fly back to his hometown of Seattle. Karmi went back upstate for the weekend with her parents, and Megan was still grounded, but had a full day planned to butter up her dad. Even Honey Lemon was going home to spend time with her abuelo.
This left Varian feeling a little awkward. In Corona they had a Guardians Day, which was meant for both parents or caretakers in general, but for Varian it was always a day for just him and his dad to spend time together. One of the few times in the year when his father wouldn't work in the field, or go to market, or have business at court.
Varian knew precisely what a day like Father's Day meant and how special time spent with the man who raised you could be. He envied his friends, but mostly, knowing this would be the second year without his dad pained him.
In a way, he was thankful that Hiro shared his delima. Though he certainly wouldn't have wished his predicament upon anyone, it was still somewhat comforting to know that he wasn't alone.
They were a less than a block away from the Lucky Cat, still discussing things to do, when a sleek car pulled to a stop beside them. The window rolled down to reveal a man with blonde hair, a large nose, and a wide smile. He was wearing a plaid shirt and a tan floppy hat.
"Hey Hiro! Go grab your overnight bag and some sunscreen!" He joyously ordered. "Your new brother, cousin, thingy too. We're going fishing!"
Varian could only look on confused, he didn't know this man nor why he wanted to him and Hiro to go on a fishing trip with him. However, Hiro apparently did know him and was also apparently not onboard with this idea at all. He stood with his mouth a gape with a look of horror in his eyes.
After processing this terrible news, Hiro could only sputter out, "But.. but why?"
The man in the vehicle began to offhandedly list his reasons. "Because fishing by oneself isn't any fun unless there's someone else around to show off to. Because I had an awful childhood, whose own father would never take fishing, and now I'm living vicariously through you. Also, you're still my intern and for the rest of the year, I still own you."
The man flashed another wide grin and Varian began to put the pieces together. This must be Krei. Owner of Krei Tech, the man in charge of the portals that brought him here, and also Hiro's boss. Though, this new revelation did nothing to stem the confusion in his mind. He couldn't for life of him see why he was being invited along on the trip nor did he understand Hiro's objections.
"But...but...b, but…" Hiro suttered desperately trying to think of way out of going.
"No buts! I've already talk with your aunt and got her permission, reserved the campsite, and I even bought you both fishing poles!" Still grinning, he reached down beside him and lifted the new poles up for Hiro and Varian to see.
Hiro let out a wordless half groan, half whine in defeat, before turning around and slumping towards the cafe. Varian blinked and looked back and forth between the two of them unsure what to do. Krei waved to him cheerfully, clearly excited for the upcoming trip, and Varian numbly waved back before deciding to follow Hiro and pack his own bag.
                                               ----------------------------
Varian found himself enjoying the fishing trip more than he had expected. The first day was spent mainly getting there and setting up the campsite. The second day was spent fishing, exploring, and just taking in the scenery.
Varian had been allowed to bring Ruddiger along, as Hiro had also brought Baymax. His pet was overjoyed to be back in his natural environment and Varian had to admit that he felt more at home here in the great outdoors than in the crowded streets of San Fansokyo. The big city was fascinating but he'd always be a simple farm boy at heart.
Krei felt much the same way. The businessman hadn't been raised in the countryside the way Varian had, but he had a great love of camping, fishing, and being out in nature. His passion stemmed from childhood summers spent on vacation at something called 'summer camp'.
Varian found he got along with older man well. They spent the ride up chatting about science and it's more practical applications, spent the trip sharing wilderness tips, and fishing out in Krei's boat. Fishing had never been Varian's favorite activity, but he now found a new sense of nostalgia for it and the praise Krei would send his way whenever he caught one helped to fuel his enjoyment of the sport even more. Plus he got a chance to show off his cooking skills after they had cleaned their catch. Not the most pleasant task ever, but Varian could stomach it much better than butchering other kinds of meat.
Hiro however did not enjoy fishing, or camping, or anything to do with the outdoors really. The other teen mostly sulked the whole trip. When he wasn't busy gagging at the worms used for bait or getting scared by the unfamiliar sounds of the local wildlife that is. Mainly he stuck close to Baymax and the tent, bored out his mind and annoyed he had been forced to come long. Varian's enthusiasm only aggravated him further and, if he was being honest with himself, he was a little jealous by how easy things came to the other boy. He'd spent half a year trying to get on Krei's good side and impress him, while Varian had managed it in mere minutes of meeting the CEO.
The only time Hiro came out of his grumpy shell was at night, when they built a campfire and roasted marshmallows. Varian had never had smores before, but they were tasty, if also sticky and a little too sweet. Ruddiger however went nuts over the fluffy sweets and had to be kept from stealing the whole bag of them. Hiro didn't really care one way or the other about the traditional treat, but was more than eager to share ghost stories with the rest of the group. Gleefully recalling with gory detail about the spirit of an ax murderer who apparently stalked the woods. Perhaps it was a little vindictive of him, to try his best and scare the other teen, but Hiro couldn't help filling a little thrill whenever Varian gave a little jump or clutched his pet raccoon even tighter in comfort.
Keri was only amused by the story. He'd heard similar ones growing up at camp. He laughed at the end of Hiro's tale.
"Ha! Kids are still telling that one? Let me tell you a real horror story."
It was about tax audits.
Both boys could only shrug at each other.
"I do not understand the purpose of a 'ghost story'." Baymax observed.
"It's suppose to be for fun." Hiro informed him.
"I see; an adrenaline rush within a safe and controlled environment can be considered a pleasant feeling for some people. However I do not understand how taxes figure into that."
"Uuuuh, neither do we." Hiro admitted, "but I guess fear is subjective. Do you have any stories to share, Varian?"
Varian had to rack his brain on that one. His own life was more of a horror story then most ghost tales he knew, but he didn't want to devel into that. Instead he told a folk legend that his dad had once told him. It had been an old story from his home country; a parable about a rich man who was so greedy that he hoarded a well from the poor townspeople during a drought. Forcing them to pay him tribute lest they die of thirst, but he made the mistake of refusing water to a witch and so was cursed to become a vampire. To spend an eternity in thirst himself and to be forever alone, because he could no longer get close to other people without risking harm to them.
"And so a leader must care for his people, son," he remembered his father instructing him at the end of the tale, "He must share and give back to the community. He who sacrifices love for his fellow man in exchanged for selfish possessions, forfeits his right to live among mankind and to even be called a 'man' himself."
If only his father's words had been true. If real life had been as simple as stories, then Corona would have sided with him and not the evil king who kept the wondrous healing flower hidden away and who turned his back upon people need. But Varian conveniently left out this more personal anecdote.
"Wow." Hiro said flatly. "That's deep."
He wasn't used to horror stories having explicit morals attached to them and didn't know how else to respond. The tale hadn't been scary so much as eerie with an unnerving ending. Unlike his serial killer story, it wasn't anything you could be afraid of happening to you, yet questioning your place in the world was somehow more off putting than simple dismemberment.
The mood was broken however, by Ruddiger stealing Hiro's marshmallow off his roasting stick. It turned out to be last one as Krei had spent the majority of Varian's story battling the gluttonous raccoon over their food stores.
Tumblr media
"I know racoons aren't 'mankind', but does this mean he's doomed to be a marshmallow vampire now?" Hiro joked as Varian got onto his pet.
"I don't know. Your robot looks like a walking marshmallow though." Varian shot back good naturedly.
Now out of food, save for leftover fish, they all decided to tuck in for the night.
                                              ----------------------------
Hiro hated the woods. He hated how unfamiliar everything was, how inconvenient it was, and most of all he hated how gross it was. He woke up irritated and sore from sleeping on the thin sleeping bag inside the tent. He couldn't find anything decent to eat for breakfast. He never stopped grumbling while he was forced to use the bathroom outside. To make an awful morning even worst, he couldn't shake the feeling of being stalked as strange animals hooted and howled. One bush in particular shook right when he pasted it. He nearly jumped out of skin when Ruddiger pop out of it holding the last of the fish in its mouth.
He groaned as he watched the raccoon scurry away and climb up a tree a little ways off from the campsite. He didn't much care for the creature, or for wild animals in general, but he knew how important the pet was to Varian and so had tried to be polite about having it around. Still Hiro's patience was wearing thin. The walking bottomless pit had eaten practically everything in the camp.
Hiro reluctantly followed after, debating if it was worth trying to get the fish back. Probably not, he didn't even like the taste of fish all that much to begin with. He stopped in surprise when an apple core fell from tree and nearly hit him. He looked up and found Varian sitting in one of the top branches, raccoon by his side, and reaching up to pick another apple off the tree.
The other teen paused when he saw Hiro. "Hey! Morning! You wanna an apple for breakfast?"
Hiro's stomach growled in response but all he actually said was, "How did you get up there?"
Varian laughed, "Climbed up here. How else you do think? Fly?"
Hiro looked up at him blankly. It was an obvious answer, of course, and he felt silly for having asked it.
"Come on up!" Varian encouraged. "There's plenty of apples to go around."
"I..I can't." Hiro admitted sheepishly.
"Why not?"
"I don't know how to climb a tree." He mumbled.
Varian looked surprised by this revelation and before Hiro could do anything else, the other boy quickly climbed back down to join him.
“You never climb a tree before?”
‘Well, I did once, with Baymax’s help.” He rubbed the back of his neck self consciously.
“It’s not like there’s a whole lot of trees in San Fransokyo to climb.”
“Oh, well, it’s easy. Here, I’ll show you. Just put your foot there, in that knot, and place your hand here on this bump in the bark.” Varian instructed, helping Hiro find the footholds. “Now you see that groove up here, place your other foot there, and as you hoist yourself up grab that lowest branch with your other hand, like climbing a really uneven ladder.”
Hiro did so, though not without some struggling, but eventually he pulled himself up onto the lowest branch.
“Great!” Varian cheered and followed after with practiced ease. “The hardest parts done. Now all you gotta do is swing up the rest of the branches, like so.”
Varian took off, showing Hiro the best way to navigate the tree top. Hiro followed him, mimicking the other boys actions. With great effort he hauled himself up onto the final branch and heaved a ‘wooooph’ in relief of having made it up.
His sigh quickly turned to awe though when he caught sight of the view. The early morning sun sparkled on the lake. Further out a misty fog was beginning to disperse and you could see the opposite shoreline reflected in the water like glass. Beyond that giant redwoods poked out of the canopy of trees and way, way off in the distance you just about make out the tips of blue mountains.
“Woah.” He breathed. Hiro had to admit, you didn’t get scenery like this in the city.
‘Here.” Varian handed him an apple. It was smaller than the ones you’d buy in the store, with pink and yellow skin. Hiro tentatively took a bite. It was crunchy and very tart, but edible. Not to mention it was practically the only food they had left in the camp, so Hiro wound up eating it all and started in on a second one.
“So, where did you learn to climb?” Hiro asked taking another large bite of the wild fruit.
“Oh, I’ve been climbing trees since I could walk.” Varian laughed. “We owned an apple orchard along with the farm. Also the forest is right next to my village.”
Ruddiger joined them, procuring his own apple and sitting right on Varian’s lap to enjoy his meal. Varian scratched his pet’s ear.
“Does he ever get full?” Hiro asked.
“Nope.” Varian replied, and then they both broke into giggles.
Once the laughter had subsided Hiro commented, “I guess that’s why you’re so good at this outdoors stuff. This is the first time I ever been fishing, and with any luck, it’ll be my last.”
“My dad taught me.” Varian quitely confessed. “He’d take me on trips like this sometimes. Try to teach me how to hunt and fish. The fishing is a lot better than the hunting, let me tell you. I never could fire an arrow right and I can’t stand the sight of blood.” He cringed as if recalling a gruesome memory. “But, I guess he was just looking out for me. He taught me the skills he had to live on to survive. Apparently there were no farms where he grew up, the land was always baren. I guess that’s why he prefered gardening to being a knight.”
“Wait, your dad was an actual for real knight?”
Varian nodded, “Yeah, I found his armor after...after the accident. Along with a bunch of other important stuff he never told me about.” He added bitterly.
Hiro didn’t know how to respond to that. So he stayed quiet and let Varian dictate the conversation.
“Anyways, it worked. The fishing did come in handy. I had to do a lot of that, when.. when I was on my own.” He worked his jaw as he mulled over that last confession, his eyes gazing out to into the distance, clearly not seeing the breathtaking view before them.
Hiro’s heart dropped. He had a vague idea of what happened to Varian, but this was the first time it really hit home just how messed up the other’s teen’s life had been before now. He could empathize with losing a loved one, but he had always had his aunt and his friends to depend upon. If nothing else to be there and take of him as he sank into depression. But Varian had to do everything for himself, even while battling that same depression. The idea of having to catch or scavenge for your own food on top caring for you ill father was a nightmare that Hiro could barely comprehend. A nightmare that only somehow got worse.
“Fortunately, there’s a river that runs through my village, and I could set up lines overnight and just go check them in the morning, and we had food stored up for winter. Like oats, bacon, dried peas, that sort of thing. That is, until spring rolled around and the king's guards run me out of my house.” He said irritably.”Then I just had to forage or steal to survive.”
“Be...because you stole medicine?” Hiro asked disquietly. He couldn’t imagine a world so cruel and yet to his surprise the story got even worse.
“Oh no, this was before I stole the flower.” Varian said matter of factly and Hiro just stared at him in horror. Varian heaved a heavy sigh and went on to explain. “My father was the only other person who knew about the sundrop. The king kept it hidden from everyone. I guess when he found out that my dad, was, was ‘gone’, he decided to try and remove me from the picture, so as to keep his secret safe. He made a bunch of false charges about me ‘attacking the princess’ so that no one would believe me when I asked for help or told them the truth about the flower. Then he sent his elite guard to arrest me and I had to run.”
Varian gave a little shrug and added, “I guess after that, ‘treason’ didn’t seem like that big of deal. I mean they were going to throw me in jail either way, and not many people leave those dungeons alive.”
Hiro could barely process what was being told to him. He didn’t know what to say. His stomach churned and his breath shallowed. Varian’s past was far scarier than any ghost story.
Then suddenly he felt guilty. He’d been so caught up in his own grief and his own struggles with readjusting, that he hadn’t actually stopped to think about things from Varian’s perspective. He had thus far grinned and bared the discomfort of having his life turned upside down, because, well because that's what he thought he needed to do in order to be a mature decent person. And while that was true in part, it never occurred to him that this move was yet another upset in Varian’s life, in a long, long string of seemingly never ending upsets.
Hiro found himself so easily annoyed by the other teen, yet he really had no right to be. Varian was readjusting to whole new culture and way of life in addition to struggling with his grief and trauma. So what if he cooked weird food sometimes, didn’t always know the appropriate conduct to certain situations, or was so super confident in nearly everything he did that it made Hiro self conscious and a little jealous at times. Deep down, Varian was suffering through something that no one in Hiro’s little corner of the globe could fully understand, and the least that Hiro could do was try to be a little more patient and a little more open about letting Varian into his life.
“You know,” Hiro slowly said, trying to ease the conversation and offer a little understanding, “I never really knew my dad. I was just four when he and my mom died. It was always Tadashi who taught me things, like how to ride a bike or how to hotwire a robot. Though he never taught me to climb to tree, so I guess that’s one I owe you.”
He smiled encouragingly at Varian, who nervously returned it. Once again Varian wasn’t used to praise or acknowledgement that he anything ‘right’.
“Maybe, you could teach me more outdoorsy stuff.” Hiro offered. “And I can teach you more about more modern stuff, like how to play Mind Smith II Turbo .”
“That..that’s that video game you like, isn’t it?” Varian asked as he tried to remember what Hiro even talking about.
“Yeah!” and with that Hiro eagerly launched into a detailed description of the game.
Soon the boys were interrupted by Krei emerging from the tent. He stretched sore back and tried to reheat the leftover instant coffee he’d brought. He then promptly spit it back out in disgust. The boys tried their best to suppress their snickers. Keri spotted them anyways.
“How ‘bout we pack it up and go get tacos instead?” He asked them.
“Yeeesss!” Yelled Hiro, who was more than ready to go.
“Sounds great!” Agreed Varian. “We’ll be right down!”
Keri went back in the tent to start packing and Ruddigger scurried down after him, hoping to maybe steal another treat from the camp.
Varian stood up and started to also make his way down when Hiro’s voice stopped him.
“Ummm...Sooo how do you get down exactly?”
                                              ----------------------------
The day ended with a trip to Yaki Taco and a huge feast of fast food nachos and deep fried burritos. Rudiger was once again confined to his carrying cage, but was allowed a cup of some cheese sauce to snack on. Baymax was let out of his charger case to kept an eye on the mischievous raccoon. All agreed it was actually the best part of the camping trip.
“Say, ‘cheese’.” The robot said, as he took a photograph with his internal camera.
The three guys sing songed the the word even as actual cheese dripped off the burritos they held in their hands, plastering on dopey grins for the camera. Then a few more pictures with silly faces to complete the set.
“Fantastic!” Krei said. “I want copies for the office.”
“Why?” Hiro asked.
“So if any clients come in I show off ‘my family’ to them instead just the photo of my mother. I love the woman but she doesn’t necessarily impress the image of ‘family friendly company’.”
“I knew there was a catch.” Hiro scoffed.
Keri looked wounded. “Hey, I told you, my employees are my family.”
Hiro rolled his eyes but he couldn’t help giving a little smile at that. He knew Krei well enough by now to know that, underneath his seemingly conviving self-serving self, he had a heart, and he wouldn’t have invited Hiro and Varian along if he didn’t care.
“Aunt Cass put you up to this, didn’t she?” He prodded.
“I’m sworn to secrecy.” Krei insisted and they gave Hiro a knowing wink. Then more seriously he said, “I know what it’s like not having your dad around on Father’s Day. So, I figured, why not a fishing trip? It’s better than being stuck at home while your father’s away on a business trip to Tahiti that weekend.”
Hiro raised in eyebrow. Keri had a tendency of oversharing at times.
“Buuut, enough about me. Who wants dessert!?”

Prologue/Biography
Chapter 1
Disclaimer: I did not write this story as a way to fetishize children having children. It is not about that. I wrote this story because I wondered what it would be like if Harry had a son, who also became a celebrity during Harry’s career. In order for the age of Harry’s sons to fit the career timeline I had to lower the age of Harry. I do not believe that children having children is a good thing nor do I try to fetishize it. I understand that this topic may be disturbing or disgusting to some people. If you do not like the idea of this story, then you don’t need to read it.
(NOTE: This story is for fictional purpose only, I do not know these people personally and the following stories are how I think they would react in the given situations)
Harry Styles; born February 1, 1993, in 2002 he made a close friend named Rose Gallo, a 10-year-old girl who had moved to Chesire, England from Italy.
They talked about everything with each other, and one time they talked about something their young minds should not have even thought about. But when Harry was home alone with his best friend, and encounter happened that would change both of their lives.
When a trip to the doctor reveals that Rose is pregnant, Rose's parents are mortified, disappointed and shocked. Much like Anne, Harry's mother, is upon finding out the news. Because of Rose's family's catholic beliefs, they did not abort the baby nor want to put the baby up for adoption.
It's officially confirmed that the children themselves were expecting a child, a baby boy. He was due on August 5, 2003.
Born 5 weeks before his due date, Noah Vincenzo Luca Styles was born on July 13, 2003 at 11:53pm in Milan, Italy. Weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces, with a length of 20 inches.
Noah came home from hospital to his mother and grandparents house in Italy on July 15, 2003. On July 18, Noah fell ill and was taken to the hospital. He had pneumonia.
It was agreed that Rose and her family would move back to England. More specifically an hour train ride away from Harry's house.

2006: With Harry and his older sister Gemma at school, Anne decided to take Noah to the park on her day off from work. This is when Noah is spotted by a model scout and photographer, Alex Hutchinson. His stop by the park was for an upcoming art gallery opening. He noticed Noah and gained permission to use him in his project. Because Hutchinson was a model scout, he gave Anne a business card about working with Noah.
On the opening night of the gallery, Hutchinson was the top selling artist his best work was Noah out of an entire collage. The picture became famous in the UK, soon, it spread across Europe, and was in high demand. Hutchinson gave Anne a call, telling her about the success of her grandson, along with cheques being sent. Anne decided to take Noah to the modeling place. Soon people around the world wanted photo shoots with Noah. Thus began Noah's Modeling Career.

2008: After he became Europe's biggest kids model, Noah began doing theatre after Hutchinson recommended him to his friend, who was hosting their annual marathon. It was short plays that showcased up and coming talent, and they needed a 5-year-old boy as a lead. He was cast and the main reason for the show's success.
This same year, Noah was diagnosed with ADHD.

2009: This year Rose and Harry break up. Rose moves further away from Harry's house and closer to her university that is in London.
This same year Noah is chosen to be in OneRepublic's music video for the song 'All The Right Moves'.

2010: The chain of referrals played a major role in Noah's budding career. Noah was referred to J. A. Bayona when he was looking for a boy that could play a 7-year-old in the 2012 film The Impossible. He auditioned and got the part. This would mark Noah's feature film debut.
The same year, Harry auditioned for the X-Factor. When asked about himself by Simone Cowell, he mentions his son and stuns everyone. Then went his audition, which he earned 2 yeses for. It would change his life forever.
On July 23, 2010. Harry would be put into a group with 4 other boys, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan. They formed One Direction.

Noah aged 7, 2010.
2011: One Direction started making it big all over the world this year. Noah travelled the world everywhere with Harry. Noah's new manager and family friend, John Turner also followed along on the Up All Night Tour.
This year however would prove difficult for Noah and his family. He got another small role in the movie Parental Guidance, the director asks that Noah be in Atlanta, Georgia during the holidays.
The missed holiday was all worth it when in December 2012, on its release date, it scored $119.8 million at the box office and Noah was first noticed as an on-screen presence.

This is the story of two famous people, a father, and a son. Their busy careers and schedules together, and they deal with it all. No matter how much bigger his son is then him, he will always be his little boy.
DISCLAIMER: To avoid confusion. I'll have to explain Noah's career. The movies Home Alone, Home Alone 2, The Nutcracker (with Macaulay Culkin), and the a Good Son were not made in the time it was, because instead of Macaulay Culkin starring in it. It's Noah. So for Home Alone 1 And 2, you can basically create in your mind who you would think to star in it along with him, instead of the original actors because it wouldn't work to have them in it today. However the director, Chris Columbus is the same. The story of how Noah got into acting in theatre is also how Macaulay got into theatre. Home Alone, Home Alone 2, And The Good Son are set in the 90's but released in the 2010's. To make the films of the real date they were released in so the movies seem realistic. This does not mean the other movies Macaulay Culkin appeared in did not happen, he just didn't make it big as a child star.

Lost in The Rythm
Logan had always been one hell of a child.
He baffled both his parents and his teachers with his quick wit and vocabulary skills. He sped through math problems without hesitation, could recite all fifty states in alphabetical order, could tell you the exact chemical mixture of the medicine given to him when he had a cold. And this was all while he was in third grade.
Even then, Logan found something was missing. He felt like there was a part of his life he had yet to discover. While he was known as a child genius, he didn't want to seek out a career in astronomy, physics, or chemistry.
He didn't know what he wanted.
It started by accident. Logan was studying for a test in algebra. He normally didn't study, as he didn't need to, but he was today just to pass the time on this boring afternoon.
He put on a bit of music to play softly in the background, listening to it as his eyes flew across the countless numbers on the page.
Logan didn't notice it at first, but he was tapping his pencil to the beat. Then, he started adding his own rhythm. Forgetting about the work, he started to create an entirely new part to the song, using a pencil and his hands.
The playlist ended too soon, but Logan found he had genuinely enjoyed himself. Sure, he knew he liked music, he could play the piano and violin, but this was something else.
That night as he lay in bed, he decided to look up that kind of music again. As he typed in the words, he noticed a certain result pop up.
He clicked on it, curious to how someone could possibly dance to this kind of music, electro swing.
Let's just say after clicking on a video, he knew what he wanted to do with his life.
Logan spent his evenings pushing his furniture aside and practicing the footwork of electro swing, enjoying the calculative manner of the way he had to move his ankles, the way he moved his legs in a seamless pattern.
After a few months, he was able to improvise on his own, his feet moving along with the music.
He grew happier, confident in his skills as he learned harder moves, adding hand movements. After a year, he could dance the electro swing like most of his favorite YouTubers.
His parents found out about their son's newborn passion early on in his practice, and they were so proud of him. They had always wanted him to pick up some kind of physical activity, and this was perfect.
By the time Logan became a senior in high-school, he had become lean and tall, and an excellent dancer. His parents cleaned out a storage room for him, installing mirrors and smooth floors. His own little dance studio.
Logan went on to perform for his school talent show, winning second place, first place going to a magic act. Either way, he treasured the trophy.
What he didn't know was that a representative of a certain private school was in the audience, and had taken quite a liking to Logan's skill.
So when Logan got his letter from Sanders Academy of Dance, he was over the moon. He had been invited to audition for the school, and they would pay for half of the amount it would take to get in.
Logan ran downstairs to his parents, slamming the letter onto the table for them to read. They had never seen such a bright smile on his face, so of course they let him go.
Logan wore his best suit that day, and smooth dress shoes to dance in. When his name was called, he walked out onto that stage, forgetting any fears and anxieties he had been thinking about all morning.
He stood on the dot that signified the center, and looked at all the judges. Five of them. He recognised one to be Thomas Sanders, head of Sanders Academy of Dance.
Logan nodded towards the sound booth, signalling that he was ready. He tilted his head down, one hand on the front rim of his hat, hiding his eyes. When the music began, he bobbed his head and shoulders with it, feeling the bass move through him.
He would never grow tired of the rush of adrenaline it gave him.
He moved side to side as if he was floating, his ankles snapping back in forth to allow him to glide of the stage.
Then, the beat dropped. He snapped his head up, letting go of his hat. He allowed his feet to start their pattern he had grown so used to. He no longer controlled them, he simply followed them.
He stuck his arms out and kicked his feet, moving backwards. The judges leaned forward in their seats, watching as Logan glided over the floor seamlessly.
His hands moved at the same time as his feet, almost robotic but fluid. Logan's style was calculated, but free at the same time.
He spun as the chorus died down and he went back to a walk that allowed his legs to move as if they were braiding something, back and forth motion as he swung his arms out.
When it picked back up again, he was a blur of limbs, all moving perfectly with the beat while also making their own, an absolute stunning display of skill.
A bright smile on his face, he kicked a leg out, spun, and dripped down almost like he tripped, but came back up again. The judges clapped as the dancer kept going, kept moving, every bone in Logan's body buzzing with energy.
His long limbs moved with water-like fluidity.
And then it was over with a snap of his fingers. Literally.
He stopped, ending it with his legs still slightly turned in a twist, one hand out behind him, and one holding the rim of his hat again, face downward.
The judges all clapped, bright smiles mirroring the one on Logan's face.
Needless to say, he got in.

Dance Square vol. 32 Chain of Dance ~Johnny's Jr. Shuffle Talk~ - Kansai Juniors
Tumblr media
I want to convey what I have learned to Kansai Juniors
Koja: the contact to appear as Yamada (Ryosuke)-kun's back dancer came before the recording of "Utacon"
Imae: (an) exclusive audition
Koja: originally, there's a rumor that Kansai Juniors will be Yamada-kun's back up but I don't know if it's really true. A mail came in indicating that "there will be a rehearsal tomorrow", I thought "what should we do?". Then, we've gathered at NHK Osaka and that's how they came up with these members
Sawata: I'm surprised
Kawashita: I'm also surprised. For me, all the members are good at dancing. I'm worried that I'll be able to keep up
Imae: and remember the day before
Koja: (we) went together with Yamada-kun twice? Once Yamada-kun arrived in Osaka and once on the NHK stage
Imae: I think it's three times during the dress rehearsal? We practiced for about 5 hours on that day
Koja: speaking of which, we had introduced ourselves when Yamada-kun had arrived. Sawata who admires Yamada-kun, "Sawata who likes Yamada-kun a lot" was shaking; he said, "my mother loves Yamada-kun!"
Sawata: my mother is an avid fan of Yamada-kun, that's why she cried when she watched "UtaCon". My son and "risou no musuko" (the ideal son) we're performing together. But when I got home, (they) put out that it isn't good and said "you can dance a little better here. (laughs)
The words said by Yamada Ryosuke increased the morale of the four men
Imae: there's (also a) Yamada-kun episode. Did the three of you went on stand by? Only me and Yamada-kun we're on stand by. Then just before the performance, he tapped my shoulder and said "yoroshiku ne". (He) Became "very cool!"
Koja: when we had a one day rehearsal, Yamada-kun said "Kansai Juniors are good dancers" -- I'm so happy! Everyone's morale had increased, did it reduce the nervousness?
Imae: no, I'm still nervous. (laughs) However, I thought it was good that everyone danced happily during the production (number)
Sawata: Gaku's facial expression is good. I'm aware that I'm so nervous, it was amazing that it was a natural smile
Kawashita: thank you very much! I was worried that it might not be attracting
Imae: the camera was pulled back during the moment that Yamada-kun was taking a break, Sawata's expression is really good; it's refreshing
Kawashita: Also when Sawata-kun is about to bounce (his body) during the interlude is so good! He danced beautifully
Sawata: no, that such... thank you very much (embarrassly grinning)
Kawashita: I... admire Sawata-kun. His face is cool!
Sawata: stop, that kind of...
Kawashita: but it's just the beginning
Sawata: yes but, can't you tell anyone?
Kawashita: basically, I thought that all of the seniors we're cool. I'd say (even) Imae-kun and Koja-kun gets nervous but they can manage to do anything with composure
Sawata: Imae-kun (and) Koja-kun's experiences are different, it absolutely is. During (Nakayama) Yuma-kun's concert (Chapter 1: Utaoze! Odoroze! YOLOze! Tour / 2015), I thought they're so amazing.
Imae: Yara (Tomoyuki)-kun, the one in charge with the choreography is so amazing, he carefully looks at everyone. To be honest, once you get used to it, you can completely do it at some extent
Sawata and Kawashita: eeh!!
Imae: moreover, he teached me until I can do it, he gave each one of us an exact advise
Koja: if we don't have an experience, we will not start to borrow a studio to practice on our own. I did a lot of hard work on each movement, it takes a lot of time in one song. But when I'm told (to have a) "break" during the lesson, Yara-kun once told me that "you should stop dancing once, go take a break". Because I had that experience, now I have a lot to think about while we're rehearsing at Kansai Juniors. That feeling is not something we only have, it is conveyed to Kansai Juniors and I thought we will be stronger
Sawata: I agree. In fact, me and Gaku's generation are about dancing, there's a place we're we could improve as we are guided by Imae-kun, Koja-kun and others. I wish we could also become like that to the next generation
Kawashita: I agree, let's do our best!
I had learned a lot from various experiences
Kawashita: for me, I thought that my experiences we're increased because I'm included in Johnny's WEST-san's back up
Koja: up until now it's us but now it's Gaku and the others who takes the lead. I'm glad when the staff said "do you best!", everyone from (Johnny's) WEST also gave me a compliment
Kawashita: really? WEST-san didn't bother to rent a studio so, we had practiced a lot
Koja: actually, I have been told that I'll be on WEST's tour but, I have decided to be in Takizawa Kabuki ZERO / 2019. Sawata is joining WEST half way
Sawata: yes
Imae: I like the tour. It's really fun to go to regions. I want to go again but I've decided to be in Takizawa Kabuki, I'm relieved.
Koja: it's the first time I had a lesson and a long stay in Tokyo
Imae: I've heard lots of things from Jo and Kazuya, who had appeared before, that's why I'm prepared. I'm really motivated.
Sawata: I'm always nervous
Imae: even after the rehearsals, everyone needs to work hard. It has been strengthen lots of time, it has been changed and put together many times. Of course, I've always tried to do it properly for the audiences who pays just to watch it, I didn't show anything aside from that. There really lots of things to learn
Sawata: it's a complete show and a great stage
Imae: yup. From here on, I want to treasure each and everyone more. After all, if you do it everytime, you'll get used to it. It's good to have an allowance but, I also want to cherish my hard work
Kawashita: I've heard that kind of story from my seniors, I also wanted to grow more. There are so many great people whom I absorb good things, I wish I could do it myself
Sawata: I think there are lots of plays and songs but first, I'll focus on the dance because I feel conceited. I'll be happy if someday they'll think say "speaking of dance, it's Sawata". I'll do my best!
Koja: I have lots of things that I want to do. (You can) Call it a dance selection, I want to do this dance with this kid, I want to dance with this member and I want to make it happen. I want to improve the dance skills in Kansai Juniors as a whole, and of course, my personality. I'll do my best so that I can beat a good dancer in Tokyo Juniors.

Elli Perkins was, by all accounts, a beautiful woman and a joy to be around. She had a picture perfect family, one daughter and one son- she even had the perfect marriage. Elli was a senior auditor in the church of Scientology, and a glass artist. Had she not been a scientologist, she would likely still be alive today. Instead, she was brutally murdered her own precious son, Jeremy.
Jeremy began to show signs of mental illness in his mid 20's. He told his father that he was hearing voices in his mind. At that time, instead of getting their son psychological help, his parents did what any good scientologist would do: they sent Jeremy to join the Sea Org in California. They were told this would solve the problem. Not surprisingly, the sea org didn't fix the young man and he returned to his parents in New York within a few months, resuming his job at his father's business.
Elli believed with everything in her that Scientology was the answer, she would do whatever the cult asked of her. Scientologists believe that psychiatry is the root of all evil, that it doesn't work, and it only causes more trouble. Had Elli sent Jeremy to a shrink and put him on psych meds, she likely would have been removed from her religion- labeled a "suppressive person" and no one in the organization would be allowed to have contact with her ever again. So the mother continued to ask fellow Scientologists what to do with her son.
In 2002, Jeremy's health declined so that his own father had to terminate his own son's employment. The "church" had given up on him, labeled him as a level III "Potential Trouble Source", and banned him from further Scientology courses. You know, because it was Jeremy's own fault that he was mentally ill. But Elli kept up with the auditing, believing wholeheartedly that it would somehow completely cure her son.
After being found trespassing outside of the University at Buffalo on August of 2001, Jeremy was arrested. The court recognized mental illness when they saw it and Jeremy was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Somehow Elli convinced the court to allow her son released into her custody. She still refused any psych help and meds.
Elli did seek the help of a Dr. Conrad Maulfair, an osteopathic physician and Scientologist. Dr. Maulfair concluded that Jeremy was suffering from "digestive problems" due to chemical toxins. Instead of those desperately needed psych meds, Jeremy was placed on "energized vitamins". Elli forced her son to take these vitamins daily, and Jeremy, growing more paranoid by the day, began to believe his mother was out to get him. He believed that the vitamins were poison.
In February of 2003, Elli took Jeremy, who now believed he was Christ reincarnated, to see Albert Brown, a self-taught natural healer. The family decided Jeremy would be better off going to live with Mr. Brown- he was the answer they'd been searching for. In the meanwhile, Jeremy was to be given constant MEST- or busy work. This would keep him occupied until he moved out of his parent's home.
The crap finally hit the fan on the morning of March 13, 2003, the very day that Jeremy was to move in with Mr. Brown. Mother and son had been arguing, and Elli told Jeremy to take a shower. When he finished bathing, Jeremy tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrists. This didn't kill him, so he decided to kill his mama instead.
Elli was in the kitchen talking on the phone to a friend. He retrieved a steak knife and attacked Elli, stabbing her repeatedly in the chest and stomach. Autopsy showed Elli was stabbed a total of 77 times- and Jeremy tried to pluck out her eye during the attack. He said that Elli's eye would shift forms when he would talk to her, that her eye was evil and must be plucked out.
Jeremy Perkins pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree murder. He underwent 8 psychological evaluations and every single one of those doctors said the same thing- Jeremy was a paranoid schizophrenic. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity and has since been committed. The meds are working, and Jeremy is said to be mentally stable today. Finally. Imagine that, psychology and medications actually worked. Had Scientology allowed this woman to get her son actual treatment, this would've likely turned out much differently. Today, Jeremy himself blames Scientology, he says this never ever would have happened had he been on the meds he's on today.
Scientology has done their best to distance itself from this case.
