Top of the Tower
I started drawing exile era c!Tommy with a blue jacket before he escaped because even though I really love him in the Arctic Anarchist Commune uniform, I was always aware that Tommy technically named the Commune as a joke and Techno started wearing the uniform afterwards. Instead of Techno making Tommy a matching outfit, it was Techno who based it on Tommy’s jacket. I think this mostly because Tommy needed a jacket to get through the snow biome in the first place. If he has a prosthetic foot, I needed to rationalize the mechanics of frostbite.
The second reason I started drawing c!Tommy in a blue jacket during Logstedshire is based on a certain series of events I like to headcanon. New L’Manberg Vice President Tommy wore the L’Manberg uniform jacket, but upon arriving in Logstedshire, Dream blew it up with all of his other belongings. However, because Logstedshire borders the Arctic, Logstedshire is cold as fuck. At some point, Dream took pity on Tommy and “gifted” him one of his old jackets (based on the cloud cape cc!Dream’s skin used to wear in the early days of the SMP). Tommy burns the jacket after the Community House fiasco. Anyway, this is also me pushing my “disc duo haqs a severe case of nostalgia for the early days” agenda.

an overall explanation of my wips
some of these aren't fully developed plot-wise but i realised not everyone has read/can access my stories page.
so here is the general description of all my novel wips! i have some other ideas but i don't quite count them
WHAT IS...
Gods’ Rising?
Gods’ Rising is an urban fantasy adventure book series set in modern day England. A group of ambitious teenagers discover a prophecy - a prophecy that foretells the resurrection of two deities, Incipit and Cessare, and the end of the world. As the teenagers hunt for the items to resurrect the gods, they themselves are being hunted down by people who want to stop them - and some will go as far as killing them.
When the Darkness Comes?
When the Darkness Comes is a dystopian novel following Norvyn, a man in the midst of an apocalypse who has woken up chained to a hospital bed and without memories, and Kallum, a former Guardian who defended London from terrorist threats before the apocalypse, as they struggle to survive in a city outcast from the outside world. Their alliance is on rocky ground as, if he wants Kallum’s protection and love, Norvyn must follow one important rule - never ask what happened.
“Hi I’m Dad!”?
“Hi, I’m Dad!” is an underdeveloped slice of life novel about two fathers finding their place, their daughter growing up… and her babysitter. I only have bits and pieces of this WIP so might be dropped.
Everybody Loves Cassidy
Everybody Loves Cassidy is a murder mystery novel set in a college: five students have been murdered in a month and the killer is still on the loose. With the police preoccupied with the events of Gods’ Rising, a young detective, Penelope, is put on the case to put the killer behind bars.
Amarneo Cult
Amarneo Cult is an unnamed fantasy novel about the youngest child of Janus Amarneo, a cult leader who is building a machine for something only he knows about, not even his children. Isolated from the rest of the town which itself is isolated from the rest of the world, Raanan attempts escape and meets the first person their age, Sophie, who refuses to join their father’s efforts. Finally meeting someone who sees what they see, the two begin to plot to take Janus down.

1 Samuel 13: Saul And Jonathan Attack The Philistines
1 Saul was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned over Israel forty- two years.
2 Saul chose three thousand men from Israel; two thousand were with him at Mikmash and in the hill country of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan at Gibeah in Benjamin. The rest of the men he sent back to their homes.
3 Jonathan attacked the Philistine outpost at Geba, and the Philistines heard about it. Then Saul had the trumpet blown throughout the land and said, “Let the Hebrews hear!”
4 So all Israel heard the news: “Saul has attacked the Philistine outpost, and now Israel has become obnoxious to the Philistines.” And the people were summoned to join Saul at Gilgal.
5 The Philistines assembled to fight Israel, with three thousand chariots, six thousand charioteers, and soldiers as numerous as the sand on the seashore. They went up and camped at Mikmash, east of Beth Aven.
6 When the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets, among the rocks, and in pits and cisterns.
7 Some Hebrews even crossed the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead.
Saul remained at Gilgal, and all the troops with him were quaking with fear.
8 He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul’s men began to scatter.
9 So he said, “Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering.
10 Just as he finished making the offering, Samuel arrived, and Saul went out to greet him.
11 “What have you done?” asked Samuel.
Saul replied, “When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash,
12 I thought, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the Lord’s favor.’ So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.”
13 “You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said. “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.
14 But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”
15 Then Samuel left Gilgal and went up to Gibeah in Benjamin, and Saul counted the men who were with him. They numbered about six hundred.
Israel Without Weapons
16 Saul and his son Jonathan and the men with them were staying in Gibeah in Benjamin, while the Philistines camped at Mikmash.
17 Raiding parties went out from the Philistine camp in three detachments. One turned toward Ophrah in the vicinity of Shual,
18 another toward Beth Horon, and the third toward the borderland overlooking the Valley of Zeboyim facing the wilderness.
19 Not a blacksmith could be found in the whole land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears!”
20 So all Israel went down to the Philistines to have their plow points, mattocks, axes and sickles sharpened.
21 The price was two-thirds of a shekel for sharpening plow points and mattocks, and a third of a shekel for sharpening forks and axes and for repointing goads.
22 So on the day of the battle not a soldier with Saul and Jonathan had a sword or spear in his hand; only Saul and his son Jonathan had them.
Jonathan Attacks the Philistines
23 Now a detachment of Philistines had gone out to the pass at Mikmash.

PSALM‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬-‭7‬ ‭‬‬
”Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like…

The Best HIDs for the Mac
HID stands for human interface device. This usually refers to keyboards and mice but can refer to anything that lets you provide inputs to a computing device.
I use the term HID rather than simply saying "keyboard and mouse" because the best HIDs for the Mac aren't a keyboard and mouse: The best HIDs for the Mac are a keyboard and trackpad.
The Mac has evolved a lot over the years, and so has its HIDs. There was a time where mice on the Mac only had a single clickable button in contrast to the PC's two: left mouse button and right mouse button.
I don't know if the Mac did this to differentiate itself from the PC or because Apple had done the hard work of researching to all hell mice and determined that an extra mouse button was superfluous. It might have been both.
While the Mac works very well with a variety of HIDs from third-parties, the best HIDs for the Mac are first-party HIDs, which is to say Apple HIDs.
The Best Keyboard for the Mac
Tumblr media
While I enjoy a mechanical keyboard as much as the next nerd, the best keyboard for the Mac is one of the Magic Keyboards with Touch ID. There's a model with a Numeric Keypad and one without. Take your pick. I prefer the one with the Numeric Keypad because it has a Numeric Keypad but also because you can get it with black keys.
You can try to live your life without Touch ID, and while you might be able to accomplish much without it, Touch ID on a purchasable keyboard was a big deal for me when it came out. I had been waiting for Apple to create one for years as a Mac mini user, where BYOK (Bring your own keyboard) was the philosophy. This unlocks Apple Pay directly on your Mac without needing an iPhone or other device with biometrics (Face ID or Touch ID). Additionally and obviously: It lets you unlock your Mac or several applications that would normally require a password. Very cool.
The Best Mouse Trackpad for the Mac
Tumblr media
We aren't going to talk about the Magic Mouse 2. And the reason why we aren't going to talk about it is because you can't charge it and use it at the same time, which is a ridiculous and indefensible design decision. Shame on you, Apple.
This leaves us with the Magic Trackpad. In 2024, it's technically the Magic Trackpad 2. The original Magic Trackpad was grey and took 2 x AA batteries and worked great. I liked it a lot; but the Magic Trackpad 2, while being rechargeable, also comes in Black, with a wider surface, feels silky smooth, and comes equipped with Force Touch, giving you more versatility in the input commands you can provide. Plus, as a flex: It has no moving parts. You aren't actually clicking it when you press down, it's just providing force feedback to simulate a click. Groovy.
I find it fascinating that an HID normally designed for laptops would make its way to the desktop and would become the best way to interact with your Mac. I supplement the functionality of the Magic Trackpad with the application BetterTouchTool, which lets you program additional gestures than those available in macOS. With the amount of gestures I can make on the Magic Trackpad, I never once feel like I'm less productive than with a mouse. I say this as someone who rocked a Logitech gaming mouse on the Mac for years specifically because I wanted to be able to do more with my HID. While I won't be gaming with the Magic Trackpad anytime soon (I think Minecraft was vaguely playable with it), I much prefer the touch and feel of the Magic Trackpad.
