Based of OG Ace Attorney cover, here's Leorio Paradinight crossover!

It was part of the HxH Game crossover event I 've decided to take part in.

About this au, some things are changed some stayed the same but just so you know, characters are kind of based on:

^Phoenix Wright - Leorio, aspiring defense lawyer, he wants to protect those whom people are averting their eyes from. He more or less willingly gets mentored by the stupidly smart brat Killlua who seems to know any law term and norm. They banter a lot but actually become decent friends.

^Maya Fey - Gon, a spiritualist of a world-renowed family Freecss with traditions. The rumors say they can contact the true spirit and connect with the netherworld. Has been saved by Leorio and Killua both, joins hands with them afterwards

^Edgewotrth - Kurapika, got mentored by the Zoldycks on how to become top prosecutor. He's utmost driven to not let any true criminal go unpunished. Gathers renown until the day he'll be able to catch Phantom Troupe and bring justice to the fallen, has a companionship with Killua bordering on sibiling bond

^Mia Fey and Franziska mix up - Killua, he has a pivotal role in leading Leorio's carier and actually becomes his mentor after triyng to cut off his ties to his inheritance as the Zoldyck heir, a true tycoon of the prosecution world. During trials if he decides to participate he takes on a role of a consultant.

As you can see, though Leorio is the titular attorney, Killua is the glue connecting everyone in here. But that just leaves all the more unresolved conflict because he hides the truth of his heritage. He found Leorio by chance and he got impressed by him after a second third take with the attitude he has, how it's not about money but bringing the truth to the table, pretty much opposite of the Zoldycks. I'm not good at writing but I'll try to say few things about their cases? It's more or less basing of "The Trilogy"but with the spin of HxH characters being themselves, it sure would reflect in the plot,

-A case about mysterious animal being spotted, the legendary Chimera Ant! Gon is a huge deal on this case because his spiritualist power call back to the wilderness and all the instinct one gets from it.A lot of logic/belief topic going on here and killugon spotlight

-A case of murder on the "Hunter X" movie plan, it's related to Gon because he was there to meet the main hero, Kite, his godfather. He gets roped into the investigation and is considered suspect for some time before

-Another case in which Gon is the main suspect. Since he's from family of spiritualists, vibing with the nature and otherworld. So when there's a case against him Killua is determined to find his innocence. Even if it means going against Kurapika. That's also the case that showcased Leorio and Kurapika's banter and whatnot so major old marriage leopika vibe

-There's a huge final case in which member of the PT's is murdered and who would have guessed, Kurapika is found bloodied on the crime scene. This is a very turnaround case because the one responsible for prosecuting it, is no one else but Killua after he disappeared (made a tactical retreat) from Leorio's side. Perhaps family pressure? Illumi blackmailing him? Being ashamed of 'tricking' Gon and Leorio and leaving Kurapika to deal with everything alone? All of the above, because now he stands against everyone he grew to be fond of. Eventually, the true killer gets found giving a chance to mend strained bonds, by joining hands in catching the real culprit all along that was hiding among the witnesses. The fake group member [wink] -Ps, Netero's just playing along for the trial's sake even if he's got the truth like way earlier, he's not naive, but likes seeing 'entertaining trial' as long as it's goes the right way eventually

-Leopika & killugon featured, all aged up, imagine lots and lots of banter and sexual tension in the court

"Maya, what are you- Franziska?"

"Franziska?"

"Miles Edgeworth!"

"Nick!"

"Miss Fey?"

"Phoenix Wright!"

"Alright, I think we've established who all is here, thanks.”

FranMaya has been secretly dating and WrightWorth is... They'll figure it out.

“Hey, uhh, so you’re going to be busy tonight, right?” “With the case? Yeah. Edgeworth is going to come over to help me, though,” He replied absentmindedly. “Oooh, Edgeworth? I’m almost sad I’ll have to miss it, but it’s probably good for you two to have some privacy.” “M-Maya! We’re not like that, and you know it. And where are you going?” “Unlike you, Nick, I don’t kiss and tell.” “You’re not even going on a date, are you? I bet you’re just going to convince Gumshoe to share what little noodles he subsists on.” “Hey, it’s your boyfriend who keeps cutting his salary, and if he wants to share noodles with me, then that’s his choice.” “You’re a leech.” “But you love me!” “Yeah, yeah. Now let me focus on this. If I can’t figure out where this case went wrong, my case will be ruined!” “Good luck with your nerd shit.”

This pleased Maya greatly.

MF: We’re on.

FvK: Are you certain?

MF: Absolutely. He is going to be soooo distracted he won't even notice. He also came to the conclusion that I'd be hanging out with Gumshoe which helps as long as they don't talk to each other.

FvK: He'd be hard pressed to speak with Scruffy on special noodle night. He will be eating microwave noodles that cost exactly $1.38 more and watching an old monster movie.

MF: He'll be hard pressed alright. It's also v cute that you know that.

FvK: It is not cute, it is impossible not to know when he so foolishly announces every single move he makes to the nearest set of ears. I do not, however, understand your first statement.

MF: I'll explain it later. See you tonight "at precisely 5:35 PM".

FvK: You shall.

Now the only thing left was to wait.

Maya was being ridiculous. Edgeworth was not his boyfriend. He totally could be if he wanted, but he clearly didn't want to. If Master of Logic Miles Edgeworth couldn't connect these dots, the world was doomed, therefore he totally knew and wasn't about that. Which was fine. He was still Phoenix's best friend and he wouldn't give that up for anything. But right now he had to focus on the case because once Edgeworth was there it was a 50/50 chance he wouldn't be able to think at all. If only he could figure out what was missing…

"Wright, honestly, you're going to make your back even worse leaning over like that." "Edgeworth! Uh, hey. I was just trying to figure out how this case is related to my current one, but I can't seem to get the pieces to fit." "You're hopeless." Edgeworth picked up the file and moved to the couch. "What are these notes? You think it was the same culprit?" Phoenix flopped down next to him. "Not the same, but related. I think this murder happened because that one wasn't properly solved." "I see… Assuming you're correct, do you think the victim in this case was the perpetrator in that one?" "Could be. I don't want to make too many assumptions up front and miss something." "Actually thinking things through for once? I'm impressed."

That smug grin sent butterflies to his stomach. What was he saying? Come on Phoenix, you can't lose it all yet!

"I always think things through, you just aren't privy to my grand plan." "Privy? I see that thesaurus I got you is going to good use." "Ugh," Phoenix grinned and playfully shoved him. "Now, Wright, if you continue your violent streak, you'll be the one who needs defending." "Would you defend me?" "I would tell Franziska to prosecute you and wait for the paperwork." "Aw, gee, Edgeworth, I didn't know you felt that way." Phoenix laughed. "Ahem, yes, well, I think right here needs more clarification, don't you?" Edgeworth turned so that Phoenix couldn’t see his face.

Right, too much, Phoenix. Keep it friendly but not too friendly. Edgeworth is doing you a courtesy by not calling you out.

"Yeah, I can't figure out what they were trying to hide." "Well let's think about what someone could gain and then follow to who that someone was."

They talked it over, pulled up more information, and plowed through any remaining questions fairly quickly.

“Wow, I’m feeling better about the case already.” “Aren’t you forgetting something vital?” “Hmm? Like what?” “Evidence, perhaps?” “Aw, you know me. I’ll scrounge up what I can and everything will fall into place when I get the culprit on the stand.” “Unless the culprit is the first witness, you’re going to have to actually put in some work to get them there.” “Sure, but I’ll find a way. And I do have some evidence, thanks. Making this case fit in was the last piece I needed. My client will be walking free soon enough.” “Don’t get too cocky now, Wright. You have an impressive record, I will admit, but feeling overconfident can make you miss even the most obvious of details.” “Trust me, I’m not overconfident. But if I went around lamenting how hard I’m going to fail, that wouldn’t exactly set me up for success either.” “I suppose not. What did you find, anyhow?” “You’re not going to believe what I found in the victim’s trash.” “The trash?!” “Not all of us have detectives on their side, you know. We’re lucky I was allowed to root around in there.” “I suppose…” “Now let me show you my case.”

Franziska von Karma was perfectly punctual as she was in all things. At exactly 5:35 PM she slipped through the door of Phoenix Wright’s foolish office and silently made her way to the back room Maya would be in. It was quiet with no sign of Phoenix Wright, but Maya had not said he had stepped out so she remained cautious.

Ever so quietly Franziska knocked on the door she knew Maya was behind. It opened softly revealing her date for the evening. This of course brought a smile to both of their faces. It was then that voices were heard coming from the kitchen area. Phoenix Wright had a guest. This must be why Maya said he would be distracted. As they moved to sneak out, however, they moved closer to the source and she began to feel that the second voice was very familiar…

She stopped in plain view of the kitchen, but their backs were turned to her. What in the world was her foolish brother doing there at this hour? Helping the foolish attorney with a foolish case? They had both taken off their suit jackets and rolled up their sleeves. How utterly foolish her brother was to be at this man’s beck and call but still refuse to announce his feelings.

Maya couldn’t help herself, Fran’s face seeing Edgeworth there was too much. A snicker or two made it out, catching Nick’s attention.

"Maya, what are you- Franziska?" "Franziska?" Edgeworth whipped his head around. "Miles Edgeworth!" "Nick!" Maya whined a bit at being caught. "Miss Fey?" "Phoenix Wright!" "Alright, I think we've established who all is here, thanks," Phoenix noted. “Miles Edgeworth, what are you doing here?!” “I could ask the same of you, Franziska.” He stood and took an awkward posture, suddenly unsure of himself. “I- well- I asked first!” “Wait, Maya, I thought you were hanging out with Gumshoe.” “Actually I said I don’t kiss and tell and you assumed some things I let you believe.”

Phoenix looked to Edgeworth incredulously.

“That is a strange thing to assume from the context.” “Well I didn’t think she had an actual date!” “What can I say, Fran and I just have it more together than you.” She gave each of them a meaningful look. “And what about you, little brother? Have you finally announced your feelings or are you foolishly clinging to your safe deniability?” “Come on, Fran, we’re gonna be late if we try to start that conversation now. Let them sort it out.” “Hmph. Our reservation has saved you this time, little brother. Let us away.” Franziska pivoted and offered her arm to Maya. “Away we shall.” Maya took her invitation with glee.

Miles Edgeworth regretted a lot of things in his life. Preserving his friendship with Phoenix Wright rather than admitting to romantic feelings was not one of them. Or so he told himself.

“Did you know they were dating?” “Hmm? No, I was not aware. Though that would explain where she disappears to whenever she’s here.”

Hopefully Wright wouldn’t ask for clarification as to what she was talking about.

“So, uh, you have feelings for someone?”

He jinxed it.

“I don’t know what she’s talking about. She seems to have gotten an idea into her head and you know as well as I, there is no dissuading her.” “Edgeworth… You don’t have to hide it from me. You know I’ll support you no matter what. I think it’s great you found somebody you like! You should go for it!”

If he was so supportive, then why did he sound so upset?

“It’s really neither here nor there. He’s not interested.” “Oh… I’m sorry. That really sucks.”

And yet he sounded more happy at that than his previous statement. Maybe he was nervous at the thought of being left behind? Larry only seemed to pop back up when he had been dumped, though Miles hoped Phoenix knew him better than that. Nothing would ever be more important to him than the bond they shared, even if years down the line someone else captured his heart. Which was unlikely, for the record.

“It’s really nothing to dwell on.” “I suppose. But just so you know, I think you’re a great guy, and you deserve someone who can give you everything you want. This guy is a total loser for not seeing that.”

Oh, the irony.

“For what it’s worth, I’m kind of in the same boat, so if you want to talk about it…” “Really?” He tried to hold back his shock a fraction of a second too late. Phoenix looked confused and responded slowly, as if he was piecing something together before he revealed who the true murderer was. “Yeah, actually. It’s uh, my guy’s not interested either. Which is totally fine! I love being friends with him, it just, uh, kind of sucks. But it’s fine! And I wouldn’t trade our friendship for anything.” “Your ‘guy’ is a ‘total loser’ as well, then.” “Ah, you think?” Phoenix chuckled. “I do. You are the best man I know, with more passion, determination, and heart than seems possible. Anyone who spends even a moment with you can see that.” “Oh… Say, Edgeworth…” “Yes, Wright?” “Uh, I mean… This is awkward. I’m just now getting the feeling that I might have been wrong about something.” “About your case.” Phoenix looked confused, as if he had entirely forgotten why Miles had come over in the first place. “No, not the case. Just an assumption I had made.” “You should know better to assume. Weren’t you just saying that earlier?” “In my defense, a significant amount of evidence pointed towards my assumption being correct, but I had failed to consider one unlikely option.” “Is that so? What conclusion have you come to now, then?”

It was bound to be profound and earth shattering, as all of Phoenix’s revelations tended to be.

“Am I your guy?” “W-what?!”

Damn that man and his brilliant mind. Miles should have kept his mouth shut.

“I am, aren’t I?”

Why did Phoenix seem so… excited?

“Please tell me if I’m right or not… Well, I’m always Wright, but-” “Yes, you are correct,” Miles cut him off to avoid hearing that joke for the millionth time. “Ok, so then I have a big question, what made you think I wasn’t interested?” “… What?” “I mean, I’m just wondering. Since you’re my guy, too.” “I’m- You- What?!” “Yeah, This whole time I thought you could tell so I figured you weren’t interested, but clearly I was wrong. About multiple things. But so were you, so you can’t make fun of me.”

That was a little bit too much. Though it did explain what Miles had picked up on earlier with Phoenix’s words not matching his emotions. And the more he thought about it, much of Miss Fey’s teasing could have been implying Phoenix had romantic feelings for him. And it wasn’t like that was all Miles had struggled to piece together when it came to Phoenix. Retroactively, this explained a lot.

“Wright.” “Edgeworth?” “You’re telling me… You’re telling me you have romantic feelings for me?” “Uh, yeah. A lot of feelings in general, but romantic ones are in there. And you?” “Yes. I also have those kinds of feelings for you.” “Great! … That feels like it was too easy. Like something dramatic should have happened. Do you think one of us is about to die?” Miles gave him an incredulous look. “What are you blathering on about?” Phoenix paused before breaking out into laughter. “Well I’m glad nothing’s changed!” “I wouldn’t say nothing,” Miles mumbled. “Oh, right. Can I kiss you?” “What?!” Miles felt a heart attack coming on. Maybe Wright had been… right. “Too soon, huh? That’s ok. I can wait.” “That reminds me, how long exactly have you felt this way?” “Oh, uh, haha…” Wright trailed off. “That’s actually kind of embarrassing. Um, you know how we knew each other for like, 4 months back then?” “Wright… You can’t be serious.” “I mean, that was just a silly childhood crush, but it was a really formative time for me. And when I saw you again in the paper… Crush renewed. Becoming a lawyer was probably 50% because of you and 50% to save you, so… yeah… And you?” “I’m… I’m afraid I can’t say quite the same, though I can’t deny those 4 months were formative for me as well. It wasn’t so immediate when I saw you again, either. It crept up on me… and then you did save me. And I couldn’t deny it any longer. Feelings for you had started to grow.” “Oh wow. So we’ve been kind of silly waiting around this whole time. No wonder Maya and Franziska are so annoyed with us all the time.” “Mm. That would be a fairly sound hypothesis. I think I would like to answer your question, now.” Miles could feel himself blush as he turned away, not quite confident to say what he wanted while looking Phoenix in the eye. “Huh? What question?” Idiot. “You can kiss me. Phoenix.” “O-oh. Ok! Yeah!”

Maya had a fantastic evening with her lovely girlfriend whom she adored. They had accidentally stayed at the restaurant until closing time, talking and laughing, trying to get as much time with each other as possible. She had figured Nick would be in bed by the time she got back since he was practically geriatric, but she was surprised to see the lights still on, and-

“Hey, isn’t that…” “My fool brother’s car?” “… How safe do you think it is to go up there?” “… You know my hotel room has a hot tub-” “Sold.”

Writing Prompts Ask Game

Wow, this is the first time I've started one of these! Kind of cool! I will try to keep this short, though. Basically, I am looking for prompts! It can be whatever you want, from as big as an entire fic idea to even just one word, and I will do my best to write with the prompt! Ten Characters, Ten Fandoms, Ten Tags

Big thanks to @chrisoels & @fallingforfandoms for the tag 😊.

I'm still having fun with the Writing Ask game (so if anyone wants to ask something please feel free to 😊) but happy to put this one in as well 🙂.

I have to admit though, I did have some struggles to come up with 10 characters/fandoms. I might still not be 100 % satisfied with my choices here 🙈.

And then I noticed I only choose 10 female characters, wooopsi?? 🤭😅🙈

In some fandoms, I will add a couple just because I can and I love them so much 😊.

1. Julia Grosz / Tatort Hamburg

I need to start with the one character that got me back into writing that I have not done for so many years in the first place. And even had the courage to post it online and share it. Julia Grosz, absolutely brilliantly portrayed by phenomenal Franziska Weisz 🥰. Strong, smart, beautiful, funny in her own way, troubled by her past, but not broken, found a friend to trust in again with her partner and finding her way back into life. So maybe "Last Chance" is a bit of a tribute to her character.

Fandom couple: Julia Grosz & Tine Geissler (Tinia) ❤️

2. Sofia Curtis / CSI

A very close number two, because her character was possible the first tv crush of mine. And, like with Tatort, we just never really got to see much of her personal life. A character so sadly wasted beyond what could have been shown. But that seems to be the story of my life really in terms of favourite tv or movie characters.

3. Claire Redfield / Resident Evil

Okay so I'm not really a gamer and I know the Anderson Resident Evil movies were, huh, crap. Crappy crap. But I will out myself here: In some crazy way, I did like them. At least the first one and the ones that Claire Redfield was in. A true leader that was not born into this role but took it upon herself and because of exactly that, became the strong leader the last remaining humans needed in the apocalypse. To me, Ali Larter will be the one and only Claire Redfield for me, I just can't help it. What the movies completely missed though, was to make Claire and Alice Abernathy the absolute canon power couple in their movies 😎😏. AND THAT was their biggest mistake in my eyes. I liked their friendship, but I would have loved to see them as a couple much more. And I'm sure I'm not the only one 😎.

4. Sansa Stark / Game of Thrones

The little girl that was so annoying at the beginning, went through so much horror in her life, but never let herself break under these circumstances and rose to become one of the strong-minded and powerful woman in Westeros without a dragon at her side. The true Queen of the North ❣️

5. Rika Nonaka/ Digimon Tamers

Okay so I was a kid, I loved that anime (even more than Pokemon) and even then I already might had a crush on a (fictional) girl character ... 🤭😊😅

6. Tasha Dexter / V.I.P.

I just seem to have a soft spot for tough women with a soft heart that they are not showing, at least not at first sight. I really loved her character and enjoyed her bickering with Valery Irons and the rest of her colleagues. That show was pure comedy gold and had some very nice action.

7. Franziska "Franzi" Jung / Notruf Hafenkante

I just really like that German crime show since the beginning in 2007 😱. Gosh, I'm getting old ... 😅 A very lovely character I just enjoy watching. And it also plays in Hamburg. Huh, that screams after a fanfiction crossover with Tatort Hamburg ... 😏🙈😅

8. Lexa / The 100

A bittersweet one. Lexa was such a powerful conflicted yet loving character. Back in the good seasons, before it went to hell after episode 3x07. I knew what was coming but it still hurt me, even made me angry, big times. The 100 could have been special, could have been so much more. But what they did was to destroy my belief in tv shows, my interest in those. My fun to get invested into any show, or movie or characters for years. Until I saw Tatort and the character Julia Grosz again.

Fandom couple: Lexa & Clarke (Clexa)

9. Dani Ferrington / The Fall

If you want a colleague loyal at your side I would choose her. Compassionate, down to earth, heart at the right place and yes, having a lady crush on the leading woman. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone not liking Dani Ferrington.

10. Sara Lance / Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow

A true ninja girl and that really picked my interest. She has those insane fight scenes that I just love.

Fandom couple: Nysssa al Ghul & Sara Lance (Nyssara)

And another character that I would like to add just because I would have liked to see more of her but another character that was sacked way too soon and for eeally Bad reasons I get furios over still yet: Leslie Shay / Chicago Fire. Would have liked the idea of her and her colleague Allison Rafferty to become a couple but another one of those wasted tv chances.

I don't really know enough people here on Tumblr and have much followers to tag ten 😅🤣🙈 .

Neil's hands do not fit perfectly in Miles. He doubts they'd fit perfectly in anyone's.

Neil's fingers are twisted. Bent where they should be straight. (Just one more part of me that ain't straight!) There is no symmetry left to his hands. Bones bruised, fractured or broken far too many times to be put back perfectly. His knuckles are ragged scars. Ripped open and closed far too many times.

The right is worse than the left. Most people drop after one. Don't get up until the cuffs or teacher rushes over.

"He was calling her names! He wouldn't stop!"

"Then you should have reported it to me! I'd have stopped him!"

"I Have." She hisses from behind him. "You Never do."

"I taught him a lesson." His right hand cannot clench at his side. "Hope you don't need remedial." But his left still works. If it has to.

It takes Jake a few more incidents to show him how to punch correctly. To abandon the "Come get me and I'll deal with them."

Because, "What if you're not quick enough? If i can't find you? Am i supposed to just let it happen?"

(If your not there, if your not quick enough - oh that will haunt him the rest of his days.)

His knuckles bleed. Paper thin after all those scabs. It runs down his hand and stains the carpet as he touches Miles face. Checking for shock. The suspect who pulled a knife on him on the floor.

He doesn't need to be rescued. Saved. He has everything completely under control. Everything is perfectly in control. Even when he leans into that warm irregularly shaped hand.

Or when he jumps back as Jake begins his lecture fresh from the ground where he cuffs the suspect.

It's hard to understand that lecture when You're the one being saved. Easier when you're the one changing bandages or waiting for x-rays in the ER. I promise it's not fractured pardner please let's go home. I want some sleep before work tomorrow.

It's always fractured. Or worse. Hold my hand and we'll go home then.

Its a trick he learned from Jake. Neil's not a masochist. Not that much anyway.

How selfish. There are people who care about you! Don't you ever think about us?!

In those moments? No. No I'm just thinkin' about them. And how much they must wish someone would help. Even if they're too scared to call out.

Neil always cared far too much about other people. Franziska cries in the airport and he thinks that he doesn't care enough about other people.

Wright ignores his message again. He remembers how Neil's hand did not fit perfectly in his. Neil's misshapen bones, twisted fingers and chipped nails did not fit into his straight manicured ones.

Thinks that his hands, not Neil's, were the problem.

That they likely won't fit in Wright's either. Not that he'll have the chance to find out.

May I ask about Self-Indulgent Fic 117? (Also all those ideas and fic seem really interesting)

Ah! This one, right. Sorry, the 'Self-Indulgent Fic [NUMBER]' thing is my default 'Untitled' fic name. Numbering them helps me tell them apart, but there are 120 of them now so it can take a bit to remember exactly which one is which sometimes off the top of my head, haha.

So, number 117. That's an Ace Attorney fic. So, occasionally I get thoughts for this series that can be summed up as "The chances of this being true is higher than zero, and it amuses me, and so I'm deciding it's canon because nothing says it isn't". I have two fics written based on this premise (the other amusingly features probably my favorite OC ever, dude wasn't even supposed to have a name but I love him).

Ahem.

So this one was based on a weird thread of logic based on that one line in Turnabout Goodbyes where MvK mentions having a granddaughter. This implies a few things, first that Edgeworth and Franziska have an older sibling (fandom consensus seems to be that it's a sister, but I don't remember anything in canon saying it's a sister so I ended up writing them as a brother, since I didn't realize everyone agreed it was a sister when I started writing), and that this mystery sibling has a daughter.

Also, please imagine this little girl referring to Edgeworth and Franziska as 'Uncle Miles' and 'Aunt Fran'. Thank you.

But also, this little girl has a dog. And this dog is named Phoenix.

So, my brain made a brilliant realization. This little girl has Edgeworth as an uncle. Edgeworth who probably clung to some of him memories as a kid with Phoenix and Larry because he stopped being a kid after that. Admittedly, the chances of him ever mentioning Phoenix or Larry to his niece is all but non-existent. But it's also not zero. Meaning there is a chance (a very, very, very, very low chance, but a chance) that Edgeworth has brought them up to her. And there's a chance (a low chance, but a chance) that she really liked these stories. Are you following?

There is a not-zero chance that Phoenix The Dog is in fact named after one Phoenix Wright.

This amuses me especially because of the reason we learn this tidbit from MvK in 1-4, and how his whole argument falls apart because the dog was named after Phoenix Wright, but Edgeworth is the only person in the room who would know that. ~Dramatic irony~.

Anyways, the basic plot of 117 is that Phoenix accompanies Edgeworth on a trip to Europe some time in the trilogy era and ends up meeting this niece and her dog. Eventually the details about the dog being named after him will come to light and then, idk stuff happens. I haven't gotten that far. So far they've made it to breakfast and the niece, Annika, has called Phoenix poor in German. Also contains way more pining than I expected, but in the form of Phoenix misinterpreting his own emotions and feelings while simultaneously romanticising the hell out of Edgeworth. (The pining was not planned, I think Phoenix is just Like That.)

Of course Franziska Anon!!!! I’m glad that you have obliged me to talk about my favourite trilogy prosecutors, husband Miles and wife Franziska are absolutely fabulous angels.

I hope that you like these headcanons. I’m also really excited for this blog and I can’t wait to get into running it .

Spoilers: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trilogy

💎Franziska von Karma💎

💎 Relationships are a concept that are very alien to Franziska. From a young age she was taught to only seek perfection in her career, that trivial feelings such as love should always come second or not come at all.

💎 Because of this, she soon came to realise that she was very unprepared for the sudden deluge of emotion that struck her after interacting with S/O a few times.

💎 She would probably be very angry with S/O at first. How dare this foolish fool just waltz on into her life and make her feel all of these feelings and just be so oblivious to their effect on her. S/O would be on the brunt end of Franziska’s wrath (namely her whip) during this time period.

💎 It would absolutely get to the point where everyone around Franziska and S/O would realise what’s going on. Getting Franziska to confess to S/O would be nigh on impossible because of her stubbornness so it would be up to S/O to confess to Franziska first, if of course, they felt the same way.

💎 Good news! They do, (although, they had been getting the distinct feeling that Franziska didn’t like them because every time they went to talk to her, they’d walk away with several whip lashes) so S/O plans to confess their feelings to Franziska

💎 Franziska would be in shock when S/O first confesses to her, as much as she had been wishing for this to happen it was still something that she would never expect could happen to her.

💎 In terms of affection, Franziska is still going to be very closed off at first. She doesn’t have much experience in terms of PDA or even private displays of affection so S/O is going to have to be initiating a lot of it. Over time, Franziska would probably clutch onto S/O’s hand if she was angry and would very much appreciate it if S/O rubbed her hand with their thumb.

💎 She would absolutely love to show her S/O off to her colleagues!! She’d bring them to fancy dinners, conferences or whatever else she was invited to as her plus one. She sees it as her own form of affection, while she isn’t 100% comfortable with initiating more personal affection yet, she will more than happily speak about her S/O if prompted (given that the person asking isn’t a foolish fool of course).

💎 If S/O were to learn some German in order to speak to her, she’d be so flattered and would probably blush, depending on how S/O decides to compliment her, she would absolutely get embarrassed.

💎 All in all, Franziska is very grateful for S/O’s presence in her life and she hopes to one day be able to give back in tenfold the affection and support that S/O has given to her, until that day, however, she is more than happy to bask in the warmth that her S/O provides.

♟Miles Edgeworth♟

♟ Very similarly to Franziska, Miles is also very inexperienced when it comes to romantic relationships. He was more focused on making his mentor proud and didn’t really focus on anything to do with dating. Because of this, he is also very oblivious to how other people feel about him which means that even if he had feelings for S/O, he wouldn’t be the one to initiate a relationship.

♟ Any form of romance with Miles Edgeworth is going to be prime slow burn material. It’ll take him a good several months to even consider forming anything closer than a professional working relationship with S/O, before anything else he would come to appreciate and admire the hard work that S/O put into whatever they did.

♟ Again, S/O is probably going to have to be the one to confess how they feel to Miles and they are going to have to be very upfront about it to avoid a miscommunication. The confession would absolutely happen somewhere privately and once Miles realised that he wasn’t the only one with these strange feelings about the other, he’d feel absolutely relieved (although he’d be sure to hide it with a wry smile and his normal formal and cool manner of speaking).

♟ Miles is also someone who is very inexperienced with public and private displays of affection and the initiation of such acts will never fail to make him incredibly flustered. He might be a bit more put off by public affection and would seize up if S/O were to as much as hold his hand in public, let alone embrace him or kiss him. This is something that he’d work on over time so at some point, he’ll be more open to holding hands in public.

♟ Despite his inexperience, Miles would probably be the most comfortable with privately displayed affection, whether that be in his office when it's just the two of them or at either his or S/O’s home. He’d absolutely be down to hold hands while he works and if he was feeling particularly worn down, he might just pull his S/O into his arms while he sits and 2just lay his head against their thorax.

♟ It’s pretty much common knowledge within the fanbase that Edgeworth has a dog at this point, so a good way to spend time outside of work would be to go with Edgeworth while he walks his dog. Also bonus points if Edgeworth’s dog also likes S/O, animals are very perceptive and as far as Edgeworth is concerned, if his dog likes and trusts S/O then there’s a good chance that he can do the same.

EXTRA! bonus points here if during the walk, Miles’ dog keeps looping the lead around both Miles’ and S/O’s knees and they end up falling into each other.

♟ Routine affection is also very important to Miles, he’d make sure to have time set aside during the day to be receptive to affection and once he gets bold enough to initiate affection and romantic gestures himself, I can guarantee that there’d be at least half an hour that he’d take out of his day to just hold S/O in his arms.

♟ Miles is also one to show off, so S/O can fully expect to be brought to all of the fancy functions and conferences that Miles has to go to. He’d also take them along on all of his international excursions so if anything, S/O can expect to become a lot more well travelled. He’d take S/O to see all of the sites in whatever country he was visiting and he would absolutely take advantage of the fact that he probably knows several European languages to further impress S/O.

He would also teach S/O different languages so that they can communicate too.

♟ One thing that Miles would definitely be concerned about is his fans. He is no stranger for receiving bouquets of flowers and other lavish gifts from people who are no doubt trying to woo him. However, he wouldn’t stand for any slander against S/O and if these fangirls grew to be too much, he’d make it abundantly clear to both his fanbase and whoever checks his packages that he won’t be receiving anything else from those who only seek to interfere in his private life.

(Sorry Wendy Oldbag, I don’t think you’ll be getting your ‘Edgy-poo’ anytime soon)

♟ Miles would be fiercely protective of his S/O. If he thought for a moment that anything that he was about to get himself into was going to put S/O in danger, he’d try to keep them as far removed from it as possible. It would absolutely wreck him if S/O was hurt and even in a non-yandere situation he’d make it his mission to make sure that anyone who put S/O at risk was brought to justice.

Your thoughts on Juniper x Athena and/or klapollo if you'reup for it? In details please *put hands on lap and cross my legs like I'm an interviewer*

Hehehehe well first, since I've talked a bit about klapollo before, let's talk junithena.

I personally think the two of them are very cute. I'm of course a sucker for "childhood best friends" stuff, and there’s clearly so much love and affection between them, platonic or otherwise. Like I love when you can just tell that two characters genuinely care about each other so much. Plus, I think the sharp contrast between their personalities makes for such a fun dynamic. Juniper being a shy, calm, gentle girl vs. Athena being sporty and boisterous and energetic, I think they’d really be able to balance each other out. Opposites attract and all that.

I will say, I do wish Juniper had the chance to be fleshed out a little bit more. She’s a fun character, and she gets a good amount of focus in DD, but not in SoJ. I hope she gets to come back for AA7 or something, if they do have AA7 someday. One of the best parts of the 2D games was that they all had these recurring characters that you could see grow and develop. Gumshoe was with you the whole time, Edgeworth and Franziska came back for every trilogy game, AAI 1 and 2 brought back all sorts of fun side characters. We even had a lot of recurring side characters, like Maggey Byrde and Lotta Hart and Adrian Andrews.

Like for real, can you imagine having Juniper back as a recurring character? Hopefully not to accuse of murder again, I think that’d get old quick, but having her graduated from high school and trying to become a judge or something? That’d be so much fun, her being another big part of a new case headed by Athena. Give them more chances to talk and have fun together without a disaster hanging over their heads, you know? Just because they finished their first character arcs doesn’t mean there’s no more growing to do, Miles and Phoenix showed us that firsthand throughout the trilogy.

Anyway, Athena and Juniper are a very sweet ship, and I like them a bunch. Also, to rec my favorite Junithena fic: blossoms with love took what I enjoy about their dynamic and explored it in a really interesting way.

Klapollo, of course, has my whole heart. I think about them constantly and I want them to kiss. Their dynamic is so much fun, because they are so different. I mean, some of it is my love for grumpy characters like Apollo who are with someone upbeat and just So Openly In Love. Some of it is characters like Klavier learning to be open and honest. Or just both of them coming from backgrounds that constantly taught them that they weren’t enough and mutually realizing that they are enough. They both think they’re not good enough for the other for opposite reasons, and they’re both equally lonely and hide it in different ways. And then the whole ‘famous person falls in love with regular dude’ is also so fun. I don’t know, these two are like genetically engineered to appeal to me and me specifically.

i just... i can't be mad at franziska at all man. i can't. god, poor woman. she and miles were both raised by manfred to be perfect prosecutors, never allowed to make friends or connections, but miles at least started out with a normal childhood- he had a chance to be a kid and have friends, and he made some friends. and those friends saved him, saved him from the gallows and the monster he himself was becoming, pulled him out of the hole he'd been stuck in for the past 15 years. he made it through because phoenix loved him and believed in him and never gave up on him.

but franziska? franziska never had anyone like that. she was with manfred since birth- she was never given a chance at a normal childhood. the two were both stuck in a downward spiral of anger and repression and hate and isolation, but she never made it out. she can't, she can't because she has literally never known anything but manfred von karma's cold, harsh "parenting", stuck since birth inside this echo chamber of "be perfect, be remorseless, get every single defendant guilty, prove yourself, prove yourself, prove yourself" and never had any opportunity to hear differently. she was never allowed to make friends, and so no one cares enough about her to keep trying to help her the way phoenix did for miles.

and then miles seeks her out at the end of jfa, goes to say goodbye to her at the airport. here is your whip back, here is all your life's rage condensed in this leather and wood, he essentially says. he tells her that she can find peace, if only she stops seeing everything the way manfred taught her to, if only she can learn and change her views, like he did. and she cries to him as she stammers a promise of revenge against nothing in particular. but the thing is, they were both buried under yards of trauma. miles just had people who loved him to dig him out- phoenix, maya, gumshoe, even larry. but franziska only has miles. and one semi-heartfelt goodbye will not dig her out, it's a job for many people with shovels and hands to clutch hers and pull her up again and help her stand, and god knows no matter how well-meaning miles edgeworth is, he cannot do it all by himself. franziska needs more friends, but will she reach out to people at this point? it's not looking good. please, capcom, aa7 franziska recovery arc, PLEASE

first of all franziska thinks she's dealing with a prodigy like herself, a true intellectual equal. becoming a defense attorney at age 17 is no small feat (it's not NEARLY as impressive as her becoming a prosecutor at 13 but she's willing to give credit where it's due)

when maya beats her the first time, franziska is angry. and shocked. but she's also feeling something... else? she doesn't know what this feeling is and pushes it far, far away so she doesn't have to deal with it. (she has romantic feelings for her. the first person to ever beat her being this cute has made her fascinated and a little obsessed)

meanwhile maya is the hot new manga title Help The Prosecutor Is A Sexy Lady Dracula And She Wants To Whip Me To Death

"Nick I know I made fun of your feelings towards Edgey but I totally understand now."

so now franziska thinks, all she has to do is beat maya fey one time and these complicated feelings she doesn't fully understand will just go away. her motivation to completely destroy her has effectively doubled.

it doesn't work out that way.

maya wins again, and between that and just how frustrating having to deal with the likes of... circus folk has been, she is so goddamn angry. this close to committing the next murder herself just for a chance to win.

so of course, she's going into matt engarde's trial with an airtight case. she's gonna win this time- bang.

she's shot. she can't prosecute. she tries, she tries very hard, but ultimately it's not possible. too bad, really, because with nick in the clutches of De Killer, she probably would have won this one easily.

it's still a satisfying moment for her, bursting in and saving the day with decisive evidence. it's satisfying for her to see Maya's perfect record broken, even if she didn't personally break it herself. finally, the moment she's been waiting for, to see Maya Fey officially defeated. and yet, maya seems... happy. Relieved, even.

De Killer drops Nick off in the defendant lobby before slipping away undetected. At this point nobody's concerned with hiding him, only that he's here. The only person in the room that doesn't know about him is Franziska anyway. Nick and Maya have their tearful reunion. Franziska desperately wanted to see Maya crying after losing a trial but this... is not quite what she meant.

They explain the situation to Franziska. Realizing that her true foe wasn't a cute prodigy but really just an uneducated little... thing breaks her a little bit. This country is insane and she needs to get out of it immediately.

She thought that realizing that Maya Fey was just another fool that could never hope to beat her on her own merits would be the end of these... unnecessary feelings. But they weren't. When she's brought in on the Hazakura temple case, she knows Phoenix is helping Edgeworth. She can just tell. He's not acting like he usually does in court. And she swears she sees him glance down at his pocket and give a subtle nod a time or two. This is her chance to take them both down in one fell swoop.

She doesn't. She doesn't necessarily lose either, but she doesn't win.

But she loses the opportunity to prosecute once Godot shows his face, so she's now focused on finding Maya Fey. So much so that she's even willing to let Phoenix Wright sit on her shoulder and boss her around the way Maya does, at least for a brief bit of investigating. She doesn't like Phoenix Wright. Not one bit. If that fool Maya Fey and her foolish little brother didn't seem to care so much about the little fool she'd just leave him on the ground to fend for himself. But she can't. Not right now. For now, she simply needs to see that Maya is okay with her own two eyes. Then she can be done with this nonsense.

I feel like at some point post-trilogy Maya and Franziska absolutely get together, but I don't know exactly when or how it happens.

December 11: Going to a Tree Lighting Event (Ace Attorney)

Phoenix Wright

Phoenix is literally a child in a man. He would basically drag you outside when it starts to snow. You can see literal stars in his eyes whenever snow falls around you two.

Even though he might be busy with his job as a Attorney, he would always make time for you. He might overwork himself a bit during these times, though whenever you mention this, he would only say that he will finish all of his work so that he could spend more time with you-

I believe its his idea if you two go to a tree lighting event. It’s basically a tradition for him to attend one of this in a nearby town, with his family. And now, he wants to experience it with you. Because he wants to share something precious to him with you.

“Look, Nick!” You excitedly said as the tree started to light up before you. Whether it’s your first time or not, it always feels you with glee whenever the tree started to light up. Phoenix laughs as the crowd started “ooh”-ing at the sight.

Instead of looking at the lights, Phoenix was staring at you. His face filled with adoration and love. He wraps his arm around your waist and pulled you close to him. He pressed his lips to the side of your head. “I love you so much.”

“You’re being too cheesy right now.” “Aren’t I always?” “.. touché.”

Miles Edgeworth

Miles isn’t one for childish things, so he’ll be indifferent to things like snow. However, that was when he was still with von Karma. Now that he’s free from his mentor, he can finally relax and enjoy the simple things in life.

Miles might be very busy since he’s the Chief Prosector, but he’ll do his best to make time for you. It’s just that his work usually takes up all of his time, so it’s basically up to you to drag him away from his workaholic state-

Miles isn’t into childish things, but he enjoys seeing the tree lighting event. Him and his father usually watch this when he was young, and it was a good memory that Miles keep in his heart. So it’s mostl likely that he’ll be the one inviting you to the event.

You two watch from the distance as the tree started to light up. You were standing at the far end since you knew that Miles isn’t too fond of being in a crowded place. You don’t really mind as you watch in awe as the lights light up.

Miles have a smile on his face as he breathes out, making a puff of cold smoke. The memory of his father clouded his mind as his gloved hand tighten on yours. You noticed as you lean on him, making him stiffined. “Your father is very proud of you, you know. He wouldn’t want you to be sad on such a jolly occasion.” You softly mumbled as you gaze at the tree.

Miles looks at you in the corner of his eyes before smiling again. “Perhaps. Shall we go and walk around then?” “Are you saying that because you’re already cold?” “Nonsense. Let’s go.” “You’re blushing~.” “You’re imagining it.”

Franziska von Karma

Similarly to Miles, Franziska isn’t one to be into childish things. But unlike her adopted brother, she doesn’t have any memory of anything special. All her life, she’s been mentored by Manfred von Karma, kept inside all of the times. She was raised to never indulge in her desire. So now that she is no longer in his watch and now with you, she’s honestly lost. Though she would keep up her ‘know-it-all’ attitude.

Franziska is constantly busy with her life of being a Prosecutor and being with the Interpol. So she might not have much time with you. Whenever she’s free, she usually spends it with either still working or relaxing with you. So it’s best if you schedule when you two will go out so that she’s aware of it and can clear out her schedule.

No doubt that you’ll be the one suggesting it. Though there’ll be a low percent chance that she might suggest it, about 5%- Either way, Franziska would join you. She’s actually excited to see one, but she wouldn’t outwardly show it- 👀

You stared at Franziska as her eyes go wide and sparkle at the sight of the tree lighting up. It warms your heart to see her lowering her guard and let the child inside her run free. It’s rare to see Franziska like this so you basically bask at the sight of her awe face. (Though you secretly want to kill Manfred- 😃🔪)

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” You said as you put your attention the humungous tree. Franziska blinks before coughing and looking away, with a tint of pink in her cheeks, clearly embarrassed to show such awe face- “it’s.. alright. Though I still think it’s foolish to waste time here instead of doing something else.” Franziska said. You sighed while smiling, same old Franzy-

“However, I would admit.. this is rather enjoyable.” She mumbled. You smiled widely as you intertwine your hands with hers. Even though she was looking away from you, you can tell she’s embarrassed with how red her ears are. “See~ I told you that this is enjoyable!” “Only a foolish fool would think like that.” “Then, that means that you’re a ‘foolish fool’ as well, Franzy!” “!! I- That isn’t what I mean-!”

Apollo Justice

Apollo tries to act mature but he really isn’t. He also doesn’t have any fond memories in his childhood years, but he did remembered that there was one time that Clay dragged him to a tree lighting event. He still remembers the awe as they watch the tree lighting up. Of course, when he grew up, he forget about his childish innocence. But it slowly resurfaces when he saw something related to the event.

Apollo is busy with paperwork, and heading the Khu’rain’s judicial system alongside Nahyuta. Even though his supposed uncle, half-brother and half-sister and the queen is helping him, it still result in him overworking. It doesn’t matter who invited who, Apollo is bound to forget about it. Can’t blame him really. This guy has a lot going in his plate so don’t fault him if he forgets about it—

You look at your watch as you frown sadly. “He’s late.” You mumbled sadly as you look up to look for your workaholic boyfriend. He promised he’ll be here to watch the event, but it doesn’t appear he’ll be appearing any time soon. And the event is about to start.

You sighed as you continued to wait, gazing at the tree while doing so. Your ears pick up some crunching noises and someone huffing, you turn around to see Apollo running towards you. You brightened up as you stood up properly instead of leaning on the wall and meet him halfway. He was huffing heavily while staring at you apologetically.

“I’m so sorry! I didn’t think that the trial would take so long-! Or that the cab that I’m riding would break down—“ “calm down, Apollo. It’s alright. I get it.” You reassured him as he manages to catch his breath. He looks like he was about to apologize again but you cut him off. “Look! The tree lighting is starting! C’mon!” “Woah! You almost made me fall-!” “Call it a payback for making me wait for so long!” “I thought you said you get it?!” “I take it back.” “[Y/N]-!”

Athena Cykes

Obviously, Athena is excited for this event. She never had a chance to go to one of this event, since she was basically kept inside the facility with her mother. Her childhood is basically black-and-white (similar to a certain samurai 👀). So it isn’t much of a surprise to see her bouncing up and down when she heard of the event-

Athena isn’t that busy since she finishes her work very fast. So she has plenty of time to spend it all with you. Though sometimes, she would get caught up with her work. But rest assured that you wouldn’t wait for too long since Athena is a fast reader and writer 😃

No doubt that she’ll be the one suggesting it- though she wouldn’t ask you to go with her, she drags you over there- no matter what your response is, you are going with her whether you like it or not 😃

“Are you excited to see the lights?!” Athena said as she pulls you towards the center of the plaza. You giggled at her enthusiasm as you tried to match her fast pace. “Ooh! This is my first time seeing it in person! I usually see it in the TV and stuff-!”

Her excitedness seems to radiate much more, as its started to rub on you. You manage to match her pace and walk beside her. “Well, let’s make this a memorable one then!” You were surprised to see Athena’s already wide smile widened some more as she side hugs you. “Yes!!”

“Why don’t we buy some candy first to snack while watching it?” “Aren’t you hyper as it is-?” “Nah, I mean.. a little sugar wouldn’t hurt, right?” “And when you mean ‘little’, you mean one bag, right?” “.. maybe.”

Sebastian Debeste

Sebastian would surely be surprised to hear about such event, since ya know, with his father and childhood- when he either asks you about it or research about it, his eyes would sparkle as he continued to listen/read. He would basically ask you if you two could go and see one (protecc this bby TwT-)

Sebastian is busy studying and doing Prosecutor work, afterall, he is being mentored by Miles Edgeworth. Though, Miles would grant him a vacation so that he could enjoy the holidays. However, I think Sebastian would still continue studying words and stuff so that he wouldn’t be much of a burden. It would be wise to drag him away before he overwork himself-

Sebastian would (shyly) ask you if you two could attend this event because he really wants to see one in person. Unless you don’t have a heart, your heart would melt at the sight of him. Please bring this poor child to the tree lighting event already-

Sebastian stares at the tree in amazement and awe as the lights started to dance around. He pulled your sleeves slightly. “Woah! How does the light do that?!” “Professional. Magic.” You said in a sarcastic tone. Though Sebastian didn’t hear it as he’s busy watching the lights.

You smiled at the sight as you let your hand intertwined with his. His ahoge shot upwards as he looks at you. You smiled gently at him. He blushed as he quickly revert his eyes back to the lights. You chuckled at him.

“We should do this more often.” “.. yeah, we could go kahooting!” “... you mean snowboarding?” “Oh.. um, yes! That’s it!”

Simon Blackquill

Simon is the kind of guy that looks like he doesn’t care about the holidays but he secretly likes it- even though he despises it because Taka can’t fly freely since its too cold for her/him to fly. He still likes the scenery and the coldness of it. As for the tree lighting event, it is kind-of a tradition for him and his sister to go to one. But ever since the UR-1 incident, it vanished. So he might go there in memory of the times where he and his sister fought while waiting for the event to start.

Simon is constantly busy with work. He is usually in-charge of interrogating witnesses and stuff, and he has paperwork to sign. He’s a workaholic like Miles, but he also spend his time practicing his samurai skill. But other than that two, he would find time to spend it with you.

He would not obviously say it outwardly, but he would hint about going there. So you either pick that up or you genuinely want to go there even if Simon doesn’t want to- either way, he isn’t complaining. This time, he’ll be seeing the tree lighting up with you instead of his obnoxious older sister.

“Are you sure you want to watch the tree lighting with me?” You asked as you two walk towards the plaza. He huffs before looking at you in the corner of his eyes. “If I’m not sure, then why would I be here?” You sighed. “Well, it’s hard to see if you are obligated to be here because of me or you’re here on your own free will.”

He stayed silent, so you decided to let it go. You two continued to walk, when you felt his hand over your shoulder, slightly pulling you towards him. You look up at him but couldn’t see much. “Hey, what-?” “If you don’t hurry up, we’re gonna miss it.”

You blink before chuckling. “Is this your way of saying you’re here because you want to?” “Let your mind think what it wants to think.” “Then my mind is thinking of how adorable you are.” “Oh really now?” “Hmhm.” “You have a weird mind-“ “You are the definition of weird.” “Touché.”

Mark Forster's role in the Ace Attorney franchise

Okay, first off:

I'm not a fan of Mark Forster's music, please don't take this post the wrong way

There might be some aa trilogy spoilers

Also, I admit this title is pretty bold for what I'm going to say on this topic, but I watch The Voice of Germany with my sister every week and one of the coaches is Mark Forster who I only know like five songs of in total, but his song "Au Revoir" (which is actually a terrible song btw. It's so catchy, I've had it stuck in my head since I woke up this morning and it ruined my day.) kind of reminded me of the whole "Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death." thing, because the only thing I knew about this song was the refrain:

which would be roughly translated to:

"There is nothing that's holding me back, au revoir / Forget who I was / Forget my name / It will never be the way it was before / I'm off / Au revoir"

But as I looked further into the lyrics I found out there is a "rap part" which tells you about the places the lyrical I will go to when they're away and it contains a passage that adds a beautiful twist to my theory/headcanon (I'm not sure what to call this yet).

"I'm sitting on the Mayan throne in the jungle / [...] / The phoenix is taking off now"

You see where I'm going with this? I know, it's not Phoenix who's leaving and I know the lyrics refer to the Maya Civilization from Mesoamerica, but I thought it was a funny coincidence, that not only does the word "Phoenix" appear in the lyrics of this song, but so does "Maya".

So when I first saw this part of "Au Revoir", I started imagining how Miles Edgeworth would listen to this song and like dramatically sing along to it and start crying or something, but this only posed another question:

How could this scenario happen? How and why would he even come in contact with this song?

My first guess was, Miles probably went to Germany after he left his note, because he grew up there (I think), when he had been adopted by Manfred von Karma as a child, and he heard the song somewhere in the radio because in Germany they blast Mark Forster's music in almost every public space, so there is no escape from it ever. I tried to find out, during which timespan Miles left America, just to make sure if there was a chance that he actually could have heard it on the radio.

In the Ace Attorney wiki this timespan isn't clearly mentioned, but since the last case (Rise from the Ashes) from the first game is set in February 2017 and Edgeworth returns to America in March 2018 I'm guessing, this is exactly the time window in which he's in Germany* (minus some days/weeks of course, because I don't think he'd just leave on the exact same day he had his last trial in America). *to make this easier for me I'm just assuming he spends the entirety of his travels in Germany

But this brings me to my problem, the German Charts of 2017/2018.

As you can see, the only songs by Mark Forster that were in the charts while Miles would be in Germany are the ones above. This means that it is highly unlikely that he knew of "Au Revoir" from the radio, because why would they play this old song if they could also play Mark Forster's more recent songs that are popular right now?

But when exactly was "Au Revoir" popular enough to be in the German Charts?

During my research I looked up these years, too, and it came down to 2014 (the year "Au Revoir" was released) and even a year later in 2015. So there is no way he could have known of this song if his most recent stay in Germany was in 2017, right? (I mean, unless the German people he met then, had literally no taste and forced him to listen to it.)

But I have a pretty simple and logical explanation on how he could have still known of this song, even though he probably wouldn't have heard it in Germany in 2017.

I tried really hard, but I couldn't for my life find real data on Mark Forster's demographic, so just believe me if I tell you that his demographic is mostly preteen and teenage girls. Also, it's worth mentioning that Mark Forster's music is pretty much only known in German speaking countries like Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Now, let's take a closer look at the years, in which Au Revoir was most popular: 2014 and 2015

Who could Miles Edgeworth possibly know, who in 2014/2015 is 1. German, 2. a teenager and 3. a girl? The answer is quite obvious:

His younger sister Franziska von Karma.

Considering that she was either 14 or 15 when "Au Revoir" was released, she fits Mark Forster's demographic perfectly and although I'm not 100% sure if she was in Germany then, I still believe, she must have had at least some connection to Germany in some way, maybe a German friend who she still was in contact with or maybe she had access to German tv, maybe German YouTube channels or social media. And don't get me wrong, I love Franziska von Karma and I wouldn't wish anything bad on her, but at the same time I strongly believe that she'd be the kind of girl who'd have gone through a Mark Forster phase as a teen.

Now remember that I, myself, have a sister. I know what siblings do to annoy each other and I just know from the bottom of my heart that if Franziska really was a fan of Mark Forster's music, she would blast it on any opportunity she'd get. Or she would at least talk about him and his songs with her brother. Believe me. If Franziska really listened to Mark Forster, Miles would have known of him, too. There is literally no other way. (For reference, I know every 1D member's name, birthday and relationship status, although I literally do not care about any of them at all, only because my sister is obsessed with them and talks about them 24/7. Meanwhile the only MCR member I know, is Gerard Way, even though I listen to their music on the daily.)

So here is my conclusion.

Miles Edgeworth definitely listened to "Au Revoir" by Mark Forster on the plane from Japanifornia to Germany and he also definitely cried, after he made sure nobody could see him (especially during the part "Der Phönix macht jetz 'n Abflug"/"The phoenix is taking off now"). Also, he probably listened to the song multiple times during his stay in Germany and you literally can't prove me wrong on this. I mean you could try, but I invested way too much of my time in this to actually care about another person's opinion on my shitty headcanon.

Also, the moment Franziska met Phoenix and Maya, her memories vaulted her right back to her Mark Forster phase and her hatred against Phoenix wasn't solely based on the fact that he was accountable for the conviction of her father Manfred von Karma, her hatred was also ignited by the fact that she probably had "Au Revoir" stuck in her head because of these two for the rest of the day and I just know that this must have completely ruined it for her.

Also, unrelated to anything I've said prior:

Klavier Gavin would definitely collaborate with Mark Forster on at least one song and however severe Franziska's Mark Forster phase might have been, I am convinced Klavier would have outdone her by far. I haven't played AJAA yet, but as much as I've gathered from the fandom, he's like a weeaboo but with Germany, I think? I'm absolutely sure, he wouldn't ever miss a chance like this.

klavier lives for drama and what’s better drama than working alongside someone you love? he lives for working with a s/o so you can BET that his crush only festers more when he learns that you’ll be working together more, since you’re a court reporter and he’s a prosecutor. he’ll constantly wink at you during trials and send playful flirts your way in the court lobby.

kristoph is most likely drawn to you because you’re involved in the law in some way. he was instantly drawn to you and wanted to know more about being a court reporter. he becomes somewhat attached to you because of your frequent interactions and never passes up on a chance to speak to you after a trial.

franziska is married to her job. she doesn’t get out much so it’s quite comical that she falls in love with someone on the job. she didn’t intend to, but there was something about you that drew her in. she loves seeing that you’re going to report on her trials. maybe one day she’ll get the courage to speak to you outside of work.

Wait-wait-wait, what DOES Lana think of Franziska though? Not just in Jurassic Park AU (which is incredible btw! I LOVE it), but in canon as well? Like! There is certain chance they have met, and had some opinions about each other, and I never thought about it before?? Would like to hear your thoughts, about both canon-ish possible interactions and Jurassic Park ones!

In the Jurrassic park au their relationship is VERY strained because they both think they know what's best for Miles and think the other is going to get him killed.

This is in part because Lana watched him fall apart over the Tiniest changes to his environment or schedule with Zero coping mechanisms at all. How he couldn't even go upstairs to get himself a cup of coffee. Franziska has done everything in her power to make sure his routine is never disturbed and he doesn't Need to go anywhere he's not comfortable. Lana firmly believes Franziska and her Father have turned him into one more caged animal, unable to survive on his own without them- and that's just not healthy. (Especially with the way Manfred seems to treat Miles)

Meanwhile Franziska distrusted Lana's attempts to get Miles out into the wider world but... But it was kind of nice to get to see him in the cafeteria and talking to new people. Right up until he wandered a little too far from the safety of containment.

Accidentally exited the workers only area into the park general. Was instantly swarmed by fans of 'the man who brought back dinosaurs'. His barely sprouting social skills couldn't handle it. He ran. Key card beeping him to safety. "Safety."

Right into the T-Rex's cage.

Franziska blames Lana's pushing Miles outside for his near death experience. Lana is horrified but "Why the hell did he have access to the cages anyway?!" Miles was honestly more traumatized by the swarm of people than Rexie who was CONVINCED Daddy Miles had a treat for her in his pocket. He keeps clicking his pen he MUST have a treat!

Canon Lana and Franziska probably have Very little interaction. But if you subscribe to Digital's Lana (as you should) I think Franziska would be Deeply threatened by this woman who thinks she's a better big sister than she is. Get away from him!!!

Lana sees another terrified little girl with no manners that needs a support system Desperately. Miles wants to be that but he's barely staying above water himself. And he's not Wright. Taking care of other's doesn't grant him infinite strength. It's exhausting.

But Lana makes them dinner and Miles isn't acting like a grumbling teen that forgot how to say 'please'. He's on his best behavior and dragging Franziska up with him and when she falls asleep on the couch and Miles asks what he should do Lana feels a flash of love. She's just a little girl with a brother who doesn't know how to love her anymore than she knows how to love him.

Depending on Franziska's relationship with her older sister I think Lana either Rapidly becomes her favorite detective - prosecutor to be- or slowly becomes one because she keeps waiting to be abandoned. Just like sister ditched them the second she could. Like Miles did. Like everyone does.

But if she's perfect than maybe. Maybe they'll know she's to valuable to leave behind. Or maybe when she's perfect it won't matter that its lonely at the top. Because then she'll be Perfect.

Ace attorney characters when you pack a bento box (boxed lunch) for them:

(In japan that's a indirect expression of love and in this case a confession)

Phoenix gets it right away. He smiles and blushes. And as he kisses y/n for the first time realizes he might not need to chase rivals away. Out of all of them hes probably the softest receiving a bento box. He jumps straight to calling you his girlfriend. Phoenix thinks about it all day and when he opens it come lunchtime and finds a little love note above his rice he tears up.

(Also if you make two, one for him and one for trucy he will melt)

Miles DOESNT get it right away. He doesnt understand why, when he has so much money, y/n would feel the need to pack him a lunch. He doesnt understand why his confusion causes y/n such a blush for a good five minutes. By the time he remembers the cultural significance they already left. He texts them something between sweet and formal. At noon (though I think he does have a tendency to skip lunch to work) he opens it and finds a little love note. He feels a lot of things at once and just like him ends up very smug

Franziska is silent for a second. It's not that she understands the implications, it completely flies over her head. No shes quiet cause she believes she should be taking care of you and not vice versa. Then she tells y/n to set it on the table, and is very confused when they leave the room practically skipping. It isn't until shes having lunch and her brother and gumshoe walk into the room to give her paperwork does she understand. Her brother asks her were she got it (idk if she's a good cook or would bother learning Japanese cooking) and when she relays your confounding behavior miles has the nerve to laugh. Then gumshoe surprisingly explains it to her. She turns pink and carefully opens it. Sure enough theres a love note in a sealed bag to keep it clean. That evening she buys a locket.

You have to know Diego for a very long time before he let's you cook for him. And he will never again accept open drinks from anyone. So y/n ever the sweetie invites him over in the early morning and hopes it doesnt irritate him. ( it doesnt cause hes already normally there). When he shows up y/n invites him in and leads him to the kitchen and they cook together so he can see whats in everything. He doesnt admit it but it makes him feel like they're married. It's when she hands him not his lunch but a bottled coffee still sealed does he go from crushing to love. Though he didnt like the extra sugar and milk in Japanese bottled coffee, they validated his trauma and therefore is not getting rid of him now.

Dahlia is an odd case. She pretends to not understand. She laughs her laugh like silver bells and thanks them as sweet as she can but I dont think she actually eats it. She worries shes been found out. That your trying to poison her. I can see her being better safe than sorry. Still she opens it to take a picture to post on her social media and sees the love note. She reads it once then again. And smiles sly. Her plan was working

Iris on the other hand completely understands and let's you know she knows. She asks if their seriously ok with dating someone already under oaths and vows. If thier ok respecting such boundaries. When y/n nods she begins to cry. At lunch time when she opens it she begins to cry again for two reasons

1) it's made specifically with her eating restrictions in mind. Y/n did their research

And

2) the love note. Oh goodness the love note. Never before has such a small paper made a girl so happy.

Wocky feels guilty that you pulled the bento thing first. His parents are Japanese and run a cafe and he couldn't make you a bento. When he voices his concerns and they take it as him accepting the confession and kiss him he feels a little better. He normally eats what his parents make for lunch but today. Is different. When he finds the love note he cries. He feels safe with s/o for the first time. Alita never wrote love notes or cooked lunches.

Mia the sweet women she is, flushed but tries to stay somewhat level headed, somewhat her normal level of cool. She sets it on her desk and takes y/n into her arms. She doesn't ask if they mean it cause shes scared they dont. That...it would destroy her, so she doesnt give them a chance. She would return the favor the next day but imagine be honest. I dont think she can cook either. She keeps the love note with everything else that reminds her if y/n. In a jewelry box under a floorboard.

Klavier doesnt understand it.... Much like franziska, he has no clue. But In a way he does? He knows this is something y/n put time and effort and money into, all for him. So he accepts it, calling y/n beautiful in the process. He doesnt get the fact that it was a confession...at first. Then he Googles what it means and sure enough it was a confession. And hes relieved cause he had accepted it and complimented them. He had agreed to their confession.

Damon: Doesn’t get it right away, but thinks it’s sweet that you made him lunch. He may google it later assuming he knows how to use google or ask someone about it, which is how he finds out the meaning behind it. Rather than make you a bento box in return, he’ll get you a bouquet of roses and invite you to join him for dinner instead. Between the roses, though, you’ll find a cute little love note with a smiley face scribbled onto it.

Shelly: He’s been around the block a few times, so he likely knows what it means. He’ll thank you and give you a peck on the cheek, promising to make you lunch as well. Once he finishes eating, he’ll put the note somewhere safe so he can reread it whenever he wants.

Matt: Has a security guard try it before he does, for safety reasons. Once he sees how upset you are by that, he’ll apologize and ask you to explain the meaning behind it (he knows he fucked up lmao). After you explain it, he’ll apologize (while being so fucking smug internally) and thank you for the lunch. He can’t cook to save his life, so don’t expect him to return the favor, but he will leave you a little note where you can find it; something along the lines of “I love you, dude <3“.

Kristoph: Prides himself on knowing a little about everything, so for him not to know the meaning behind your gift is unlikely. He’ll happily accept it and give you a gentle kiss on the forehead, all while hiding how smug he feels. He’ll also give you bento box in return, but with German cooking instead of Japanese. Oh, and that little love note you put in there? Expect to find a three page-long love letter in your lunch.

Ray: Pretty knowledgeable about romantic traditions around the world, so the chances of him getting it are pretty high. He’ll thank you for it rather sheepishly, as this is one of the few times you’ll get to see him flustered. Once he reads the note, though, he’ll pull you into a big hug, tears brimming at the corners of his eyes. Afterwards, he’ll immediately set out to make you a bento box in return, or take you out to dinner if you prefer.

Sebastian: Bless his dense heart, he’s clueless. He’ll be very thankful though, and promise to make you something in return (despite his nonexistent cooking skills). He’ll likely eat it at work and brag about how you made it for him, which is when Miles steps in to explain the meaning behind it. That + the love note is enough to make him cry tears of joy, and he’ll tackle you in a hug the moment he gets the chance to.

Simon K: Doesn’t know how to feel at first because he’s never had someone make him lunch before. Once he sees the note inside, though, he realizes what it means and becomes even more emotionally confused than before. He’ll thank you, rather awkwardly, and promise to make something for you. He’s not much of a wordsmith but he’ll still add a note, expressing how grateful he is for the lunch.

Katherine: Will be on the verge of tears when you give her the bento box, and will flat-out start crying when she reads the love note. She’ll cling to you, thanking you profusely and promising to make you one as well. She keeps her word and makes you a wonderful bento box the very next day. Instead of a love note, however, you’ll receive a song she wrote about you (and she’ll even sing it to you while you eat).

Bobby: Another very dense yandere who is definitely going to get scolded by Blackquill for not understanding what your gift means. He’ll make up for it though, by going above and beyond to make you the best bento box you’ve ever eaten (it won’t be the prettiest and he’ll likely have burned something, but it’s the thought that counts, right?). He’ll also keep your love note on his bedside table so he can read it every night before bed and every morning when he wakes up.

Simon B: He’s a huge weeaboo Japanese cultural enthusiast, so he’ll get it right away. He’ll tease you about it and act cocky as usual, but in reality, he’s trying to hide the very obvious blush on his face. He’ll keep your note safely tucked away in his coat pocket for whenever he wants to reread it. He won’t return the favor right away, though. Instead, he’ll give it to you when you least expect it in order to fluster you.
