Saving Grace Music proudly presents Highest Frequency Vol. 2, an album repping vibrant UK electronic music culture to the fullest. The LP collects 11 high-grade tracks from music legends, bubbling talents, and currently undiscovered artists. KoDean Productions opens things up with a cold serving of his trademark Sci-Fi Drill sound on the enigmatic Dreams. While Saving Grace upstart Slinki comes with a true dancefloor destroyer known as ANX BNX is a hyperactive footwork riddim with an arresting melody and a thunderous kick drum. Murk stays true to name on Slowwww, a high-octane, jump up drum & bass roller. UKG & Bassline legend DJ Q brings us his epic track All Mighty, combining elements of dub, dubstep, drum & bass, and a powerful reggae vocal sample the track the track takes you on a journey through his music inspirations. On Fantasmo Circuitry, 11-year-old DJ Marcel displays influences beyond his years from 80’s electronica and jazz & Hip Hop, skillfully executed with meandering piano, slap bass, and 808 beats. Mighty Funk'Houser reminisces about a fine lady on his soulful deep house/bruk joint, Chantay Had A Vybe. Krash displays his unique bassline style on Going Home, featuring a bittersweet piano rift and handcrafted bass. Positive_Con flips a classic sample into the anthemic bass-hybrid banger Underground. Shaun Dean's bouncy garage riddim Like It is a fresh and flavorful take on a classic oldschool sound. Eclectic, weird & comical production duo Foxglove Riot takes us foraging for Subterranean Garlic on a forest moon - to the sound of rugged drums, enchanting melodies, and nostalgic vocal harmonies. For the album's cinematic conclusion we enter the Austerity Chamber, Tony Phorse's simulation of a near-future dystopia, soundtracked by distorted techno beats and apocalyptic synth. Highest Frequency Vol.2 continues the legacy of solid sounds from up north. From hypnotic beats to dancefloor bangers, Highest Frequency Vol.2 slaps hard and deep. All you gotta do is press play. Dean
Walking over to the others, Dean checked his pistol and took his knife out of its holster. Sophia and Adeline didn’t want him to go, but Beth quickly took their attention away. Daryl had found a coloring book and some crayons a few weeks ago and the girls had fallen in love with it.
“Ready?” Hershel said. Rick looked at everyone and opened the gate. The six of them rushed through and Hershel closed it quickly. Looking over to the fence, Dean saw the rest of the group trying to lure the walkers to them and away from the six inside the courtyard.
Hefting his knife, he stabbed a walker in the head, pushing it away after. They stayed in tight formation, never straying too far from the others. On high alert, Dean killed every walker he could. T-Dog saw a riot shield and hurried towards it, pushing a walker away before Maggie followed, killing it. Glenn reached for her and they were back in formation.
“Almost there,” Rick said. He opened a door and when he saw it was clear, he looked around the corner.
“Shit,” he muttered. He pressed his back up against the wall and Dean followed suite. Rick held his fist up, telling everyone to stop. Looking over, Dean saw two walkers in riot gear.
 “Fuck,” Dean whispered.
Two more popped up and when Daryl shot at one, it didn’t make a dent. T-Dog and Rick ran forward, trying to find a weak spot in the armor. Dean moved back a bit next to Daryl and a walker came out of the door Rick opened. Maggie swung at it and pushed it away while Dean watched her six. A few more walkers came up and Dean helped Glenn take care of them quickly. Dean could see Daryl in the corner of his eye and he was making quick work of some too.
“Daryl!” Rick called, body slamming one of the geared up ones. He got up quickly and ran to the open gate, sending a walker flying with a kick. Daryl went over to help him close it, locking it shut with a chain. Now all they had to deal with were the geared walkers. One of them had gotten a hold of Maggie and she fought back, one hand pushing up its helmet and the other driving her knife up into its head.
“You see that?” She said excitedly. Taking her example, Dean pulled back their helmets before killing them. Once they were all taken care of, Dean looked around.
“Stop,” Rick said as Glenn ran to let the others in.
 “It’s secure,” he said.
“Not from the look of that courtyard,” Daryl said. “And that’s a civilian.”
“So the interior could be overrun with walkers from outside the prison,” T-Dog said with a sigh.
“Well that puts a damper on our plans.” Dean huffed, wiping sweat away from his face.
“If there’s walls down, what are we gonna do? We can’t rebuild the whole prison.”
“We can’t risk a blind spot. We have to push in,” Rick said.
Dean looked over to you and Sam and made a ‘hold on’ gesture before following Rick into the prison. He was right behind Daryl and got his knife ready as Daryl opened a door. No walkers came out and they all proceeded, closing the door behind them. The room had little light, but Dean could see easily. Water was dripping from somewhere and there was only one body in the room.
Dean checked the closed doors to see if they were locked and they were. Rick walked up the stairs to the watch-room and grabbed the keys off of the guard. Quietly, he found the right key to open up the cell block and Dean checked all of the cells on the bottom floor with Glenn. A thud from upstairs made Dean’s head whip around and he followed Daryl up. The right side was clear, but there were two walkers stuck in some cells on the left side. Rick and Daryl nodded to each other and killed them both. After it was double checked to make sure it was safe, Dean went back outside and grabbed everyone else.
 ---
“What do you think?” Rick asked.
 “Home sweet home,” Glenn sassed.
 “For the time being.”
 “Is it secure?” Lori said.
“This cell block is,” Dean said.
“What about the rest of the prison?” Hershel asked.
“In the morning, we’ll find the cafeteria and the infirmary.”
“We sleep in the cells?” Beth asked Rick.
“I found keys on some guards. Daryl has a set too.”
“I ain’t sleepin’ in no cage,” Daryl said. “I’ll take the perch.”
With that, everyone went to find a cell and you took one on the second floor, farthest from the door. It was cleaner than some of the others and you set Ada’s things down on the top bunk before setting a sleeping Adeline down. Letting out a sigh, you walked to the cell next to hers and put your stuff on the floor. Before you could fall asleep though, you got up and walked over to Daryl.
“You sure you wanna sleep out here?” You asked. He nodded and you bent down to whisper in his ear.
“If you stay with me, we’ll have some privacy.” You kissed his cheek and sauntered away. “Think about it.”
Back in the cell, you were rummaging through your pack when you felt a body press up against yours. Rough hands were at your hips and you stood up, turning to face Daryl.
 “Door don’t close,” he said.
 “That’s fine with me.”
With that, he kissed you and pushed you onto the mattress, stifling your moans with his mouth.
 ---
You woke up to Daryl kissing the back of your neck and you hummed, turning to face him. You had slept good that night. Not having to keep one eye open felt great, but what felt better was Daryl’s arms around you. You didn’t want to wake up, but you knew there was work to be done.
“Mornin’,” you said with a yawn.
“Mornin’.” He kissed you and started rubbing his hips into yours. You groaned and Daryl was quick to get you under him. One of his hands held him up and the other was busy running up and down your side. His crotch dipped to meet yours and you keened at the bulge you felt.
“You’re not tired from last night, are ya?” He asked, kissing your neck.
 “For you? Never.”
“Good. ‘Cause I’m gonna fuck ya good. You’re not gonna be able ta walk once I’m done with ya,” Daryl growled. Moaning quietly at his words, you arched your back and Daryl grabbed your wrists before pinning them above your head. Your shirt was about to come off when you heard Sam calling for you.
“[Y/n], Daryl. Come downstairs. We gotta get ready to go.”
With a groan, Daryl put his head in the crook of your neck. He started sucking on your pulse point and your voice cracked as you called back to Sam.
 “A-Alright! We’ll be out in a sec.”
“Damn cockblock,” Daryl grumbled. You laughed and kissed him.
“We can finish this later. We gotta clear out the prison today.”
“I’m holding ya ta that.” Daryl got up and you followed, getting changed out of your pajamas and into your day clothes. Daryl had finished before you and you watched him leave, biting your lip. Shaking your head slightly, you pulled on your jeans and frowned. They were slightly tighter than normal, but you dismissed it and went to Adeline’s cell. Waking her up, you helped dress her then walked down the stairs with her and Daryl. You dropped Adeline off with Beth and Sophia, kissing her nose.
“Be a good girl for Beth, okay?” Ada nodded and you laughed.
 “Okay! Love you, mommy!”
 “I love you too, baby.”
When you got into the common area, there was a pile of weapons on one of the tables. You whistled softly and picked up one of the pistols.
 “Not bad,” Daryl said.
“Flash bangs, CS Triple-Chasers. Not sure how they’d work on walkers, but we’ll take them,” Dean said.
You were checking out the guns and a flash of silver caught your eye. Picking up a large knife, you twirled it in your fingers.
“Anyone call dibs on this? ‘Cause I want it.”
“You can have it. Sheath’s right here,” Rick said. You put the gun you were holding in your waistband and strapped the sheath to your thigh, sliding the knife in after. The weight felt weird, but you knew you’d get used to it.
“I ain’t wearin’ this shit,” Daryl said in disgust, holding up a dripping helmet.
“We could boil ‘em,” T-Dog suggested.
“Not enough firewood in tha whole forest. No. ‘Sides, we made it this far without ‘em, right?”
“I have to agree with Daryl. I’m not wearing one of those. That looks disgusting.” You made a face and turned your attention back to the weapons.
“Hershel?” Carol said, tilting her head, telling Hershel to come over.
 “Everything alright?” Rick asked.
“Everything’s fine.” The two of them walked away and Rick looked at you.
“I don’t want you coming,” Rick said.
 “What? Why?”
“Just in case anything goes wrong, I want you here to take care of the kids and Lori.”
You sighed but nodded. “Alright. I’ll stay here.”
When you turned to face Dean, you saw Daryl looking at you. He was not so subtly checking you out. His eyes went from head to toe. Your hair pulled into a pony tail, your breasts squished by your crossed arms, your thighs that each had a holster- one for the knife and the other for your gun- to your boots where your other knife was hidden. When you turned away from him, he could see the pistol you took from the table peeking out of your waistband, a little sliver of your skin showing.
Shaking his head, he turned his attention to his crossbow, getting it ready to go. You smirked and jutted your hip out. Hershel had come back and now everyone was getting ready to leave. Carl was messing around with a clean helmet and Rick saw him.
“You won’t need that,” he said. “I need you to stay put.”
 “You’re kidding.”
“We don’t know what’s out there. Something goes wrong you could be the last man standing. I need you to handle things here, help [y/n] and Sam if they need it.”
“Sure,” Carl said, nodding. Rick handed him the keys.
“Great. Let’s go.” You kissed Dean’s cheek and waved goodbye to your brother before turning around and walking back to your daughter. Carl locked it after his dad left and you didn’t look back.

Hi! 13 for the destiel asks!
13. What is your ideal way for Destiel to go canon?
Honestly, I couldn’t imagine anything better than what we already got. I was always counting on a confession in the face of death with lots of tears and this is what we got. Now Dean needs to get his own ass into the Empty, drag Cas out and say what he has to say. And I don’t think any fanfic can ever beat Castiel’s monologue. This was perfect and beautiful and everything Dean needed to hear, it was also amazingly painful. I wouldn’t change a single thing here.
Maybe apart from the ‘painful’ part. Because I always lowkey wanted a drunk confession. Just the two of them having a moment with no outside danger forcing them to say what they have to say. Just them and their choices to confess, with a little help of booze, because okay, these two are so repressed that they need a little push. Little, not a world-is-ending kind of push.
So like imagine if they confessed to each other marvelously drunk, coming back from a bar where Sam left them, because these two were driving him insane and he just noped out of there after zeroing his second beer; so they stayed and talked, and laughed and looked at each other and for a moment there was this silence, where they were only staring into each other’s eyes and Dean was starstruck because the dimmed light of the bar was playing shadows on Cas’ face, and Cas was smiling brightly at Dean and Dean thought how did we even got there; Castiel on the other had never felt happier, the beer got into his head and he was dizzy but Dean was right there in front of him, laughing carelessly at the dumb jokes Cas attempted to make and it was the best sound ever but now Dean was staring at him with so much fondness, lips parted, and it was the most beautiful moment of his life; for a while it was just the two of them and the world around them just didn’t exist.
Then Dean chuckled and muttered something about going back to the motel; he seemed embarrassed and Cas didn’t want to admit to himself that his heart broke a little but he was going to cherish these few minutes that just passed forever, he thought. They stumbled out of the bar and Dean gave the impala a long tired look and shook his head ‘I don’t think I can drive, Cas’ he managed to say, eyes blurry, ‘We’ll walk then’, Cas shrugged it off, happy that they are going to have just a little more time together before they go into their separate rooms. The night was warm for a november, soft breeze dancing with the leaves on the ground, as they started walking, step by careful step. It was a slow walk, and the full moon just showed itself from behind a cloud.
‘I need to take a breath’, Dean said finally, leaning on the railing of the bridge they just reached. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. He glanced at Cas and then looked at the river underneath them. His heart was racing. Because Cas was standing right next to him, close enough to touch, almost. Cas, and his dark messy hair, and reassuring smile and those stupid blue eyes, piercing right through him every time. But Cas wasn’t looking at him this time, his eyes were closed, he was breathing slowly, listening to the quiet whispers of the river, trying to focus on the smell of fallen leaves and the water. Castiel felt intoxicated; but he was sure it wasn’t the beer, at least not entirely. Emotions and feelings were still new to him and completely overwhelming. He wasn’t able to read Dean’s mind, and he had no idea what was expected of him. He wanted to say something but he didn’t even know what to begin with.
‘Cas’, Dean finally mumbled, and it brought him back to reality immediately. Cas slowly turned his head to face Dean, his eyes were bright and questioning, and Dean couldn’t look straight into them because he wasn’t sure what would happen if he did. Dean took another deep breath. ‘I wanted to...’ he grunted ‘To, uh, thank you.’
Cas looked confused. ‘Wh-- What for, Dean?’, he finally managed to ask, very quietly. He felt unsure and the fear started creeping in. This whole situation was new and he had no idea how should he react; at the same time he didn’t want to ruin this moment by saying something inadequate. He felt frozen and out of control. He was scared.
‘For... For everything, I guess. I never said that to you’, Dean finally let himself speak, and he felt instant relief. He knew he wanted to say it to Cas for a long time now, he didn’t even know how long, but he just couldn’t. The words were always stuck in his throat, and he always lied to himself that this wasn’t the time.
But tonight he felt he reached a breaking point. He felt it in the bar, after the fifth beer, when he looked at Cas like he saw him for the first time. Cas was laughing at something stupid Dean said about the guy who was playing pool or about the bartender; he couldn’t remember what it was and it didn’t matter anyway, but he looked at Cas and he couldn’t stop looking, because this was all he ever wanted. His brain froze after that thought, because it was something he knew for a long time now, he realized, but it was also something he never admitted even to himself. And when he suddenly did, when this thought appeared seemingly out of nowhere and despite all the walls he put around his heart, he felt finally free. He was free and completely, unconditionally in love.
Cas looked at him with open mouth, and he looked confused. Castiel felt his heart racing at a dangerous speed, it seemed like it wanted to desperately jump out of his chest and right into Dean’s hands, where it belonged. He felt he was sobering up and his head felt light and heavy at the same time.
‘You... You don’t have to say it, Dean’, he started cautiously. ‘I am glad to be here. I always was--’
‘No, Cas’, Dean cut him off, ‘I have to.’ The world around him was spinning, and Cas was the only fixed object, so he focused his eyes on him. ‘You... It’s good to have you here, Cas. And I mean it. You did so much for us’, he started, feeling the weight slowly lifting from his chest. It was a risk, it was probably the biggest risk he ever took, but he couldn’t help it, he always felt braver after a couple of beers. ‘You did so much for me’, his voice suddenly broke and suddenly he wasn’t able to say another word.
Cas stood there, frozen. He couldn’t believe what was happening. Dean's forest green eyes were staring intensely right into his own. It was like Dean wanted to speak but he physically couldn’t do it, and honestly, Cas could relate. At one second his mind was just a frozen void and right at the next one, unexpectedly and out of nowhere, words were madly rushing through his head, forming dozens of sentences all at once, rioting; everything he ever wanted to say to Dean was emerging from his subconsciousness into the surface, flooding his mind; he was drowning in emotions and unspoken words, it was all too much, too many; he felt like he was suffocating, so he opened his mouth to take a breath and then...
‘I love you’.
It just escaped through his lips, slipped right through it without his consent, and the world suddenly stopped and his mind went silent again. Cas blinked a couple of times, shocked but also strangely relieved; once the truth was out she was unstoppable. ‘Dean...’, he whispered, but all at once he was out of words. Thousands of them were just gone, leaving only four of them that ever mattered, that ever had meaning, echoing in his head repeatedly.
Dean looked like he was just struck by lightning. He also felt like it. The words he never thought he would hear hanged in the silence between them; it took a few seconds for them to sink in. For a moment Dean thought he was delirious, he almost expected to wake up in a second, in a motel bed, completely hangover, because this? This was simply too good to be true.
But suddenly everything just made sense. Everything just clicked and fell right into place and he was home. He was barely standing on his own two feet, on some bridge on the outskirts of some godforsaken town in the middle of nowhere, with the moon and stars shining brightly above him and the river humming underneath him, but he was home. Nothing ever felt this right.
After a long pause, he exhaled, smiled and--
‘Dean, I’m... I...’, Cas stuttered, ‘I shouldn’t--’
‘Cas’, Dean reached out his his hands and cupped Castiel’s face. He didn’t even have to take a step towards him, they already were standing this close. He pressed their foreheads together. ‘This is all I ever needed to hear from you’, he whispered, ‘You are what I need, no’, he quickly corrected himself, ‘you are what I want. I love you. I knew this for a while now.’ He wrapped his hand around Cas, as he said it, to keep him as close as possible, ‘I remember what it was like... I remember my life before you. I could never imagine going back to that. I just wanted you to know that’, suddenly the words started to flow more easily, ‘I am better with you around’.
Slowly he let go of the embrace and looked directly into Cas’ eyes, brighter than ever, but was it because of moonlight or was it Castiel’s very own light, Dean wasn’t sure. Cas wasn’t sure either, but the light was everywhere. Everything looked better, brighter, more familiar. So this is it, he managed to form a thought, this is how it goes. This is what the whole world is about, as he suddenly started to understand why some of the angels fell before him. This was worth everything. He reached for Dean’s face and stroked his cheek, wonderstruck how right it felt.
Dean was barely holding back a sob all this time, but this is not time for crying, he told himself, not now, when Cas was gently touching his face and looking at him with pure admiration. Dean couldn’t help but lean into the soft touch. Slowly he reached for Cas’ hand, leaned in more, and kissed the inside of his palm. It all felt too natural, so good and so right.
They stood like this for a good moment, feasting on it and letting the time pass. They weren’t in a hurry anymore, they were right where they were supposed to be. After some time they finally started walking again, and when they crossed that bridge they felt like they just entered a new beginning, a new world that belonged only to them, although in a way, nothing really changed; they were joking and laughing in no time, and when Dean slipped on the wet leaves on the pavement, Cas was there to catch him.
When they finally reached the motel, the moon and stars were already fading, and the sky on the east was slowly turning golden and pink. That night was the first of many nights to come when Sam had the motel room all to himself.

Wheeeee litol trolley
I have been in one (1) Asda and honestly it was disappointing
H....How did that Gorgonopsid throw all those trollies at Helen at once? How did it blow up a car?
~THEME MUSIC~
Where Is Mark Wakeling’s [Captain Ryan] Credit?
STEEEPPHHHEEEEENNNNN
Leathery McLeatherJacket
I’m sure I’m going to say this a lot during this series of posts and I think I said it in my 3x02 rewatch, but this is Peak Puppy Connor
Love how they both point to Archaeology
Stephen. Stephen just put the bag over your shoulder instead of carrying it under your arm
Nick: *throws away paper* Connor: Actually, that’s my dissertation Nick: *picks it back up* Connor: *mentions aliens* Nick: *chucks it again*
Can we just have more Nick rambling about fossils and evolutionary puzzles?
I love how Nick doesn’t immediately chuck the paper, but instead gives it to Stephen to read first
Take your own advice, Nick
AHHH A SCOTTISH PERSON SAYING LOCH RIGHT THANK YOUUUUUU
Hearing loch pronounced correctly is something that can be so personal...
Honestly though, such married energy from Stephen and Nick here
Connor: Your wife wouldn’t ‘ave ignored it Stephen, in the background: The fuck did you say?
God I love the music in this show
Connor: It’s not like the Forest of Dean’s far away though. Stephen, in the background: Now you’ve done it, we’re going to have to go now
abby. she so cute
Considering Abby is 5′4″ her boss ain’t that tall
Look at Nick and Stephen with their popped collars
Was it a requirement that every show featuring in the 2000s featuring A) Aliens or B) Dinosaurs play “What’s That Coming Over The Hill" by The Automatic
Abby if I can hear it that loud you will be deaf by the time you get to Ben’s house
“We never expected a personal call” How else did you think someone would come to the house to take the lizard away???
RRREEEEEEXXXXX
But why chuck the cow into the tree instead of eating it?
This Gorgonopsid is great at throwing stuff with decent accuracy, are we sure it doesn’t have hands
Okay but why’s Nick at the bar while he leaves Stephen and Connor outside though?
CLAUUDDIAAAA
Oh I hate it when men are just, “But, seeing as you’re so pretty, I’ll do xyz/I’ve never seen a [insert job here] as pretty as you” and so on. No. Yick
We love how Claudia sees Nick and goes, “Yes, he looks like someone I can trust right now, I would willingly kiss and also pretend to date him.”
Claudia: One more sleazy chat-up line and I was going to have to kill him
Claudia KNEW who Nick was! Even better than my prior points, she went, “Ah, that’s Nick Cutter, evolutionary zoologist/palaeontologist, he’s someone I would trust, kiss and pretend to date.”
ANOMALY!
Ben: I’m running away from what I believe is a leopard who dragged a cow up into a tree, and here is this big spinny ball of light I’ve never seen before, better stop panicking and shove my face through it
That may be an actively erupting volcano right there
Abby out here being an apprentice Leathery McLeatherJacket
I feel like we don’t talk about Animal Tracker Stephen enough
It got dark real quick
“I Predict A Riot” is literally on my Primeval-esque playlist, I didn’t even realise it was actually in the show
Is....is that really what those ball things do when they break? Do they explode?
Abby: A TORTOISE?
Note: At some point, Connor popped the collar of his coat like Nick had
Ben’s mum honestly thinks her, what, ten or eleven year old son? Managed to A) Wreck his room so bad 2) Smash the window C) Destroy the wall around said window?? And apparently that’s Abby’s fault?? Because she “filled his head with nonsense by....” taking him to the forest? Saying he may have found a new species of lizard? Ben’s mum, come on...
“I blame the telly” A second ago it was all Abby’s fault! That’s why Ben got mad, cause she had to tell him a lie!
“Let him go,” Nick, how were they meant to stop it?
“Where’s it gone?” Claudia, did you not see it walk into that light right there?
CAPTAIN RYAN!!!! AH!!! CAPTAIN RYAN DESERVED BETTER!!
LOOK how happy Connor is just letting the anomaly suck up metal things and then, “Oh. That was my front door key.”
Lester! Assholey Season One Lester, but Lester!!
“So much for thinking outside the bloody box.”
Did Stephen and Connor already sign the Secrets Act and then bounce? Or is it not their turn yet? Cause they’re out here all day
Everyone’s wearing exactly the same clothes except maybe Claudia
And you say you don’t have Connor energy, Ryan
Claudia’s skirt has POCKETS!
And so begins one of the most awkward moments in the whole series
Stephen’s wearing a necklace
Connor’s wearing four layers of clothes
YES, REX, LAD
Note: We’re re-doing the living room right now, so there’s a lot of noise, so I’m missing some stuff
Shnazzy, somewhat dramatic music as Stephen....stands on some logs
Love how Ben’s class is coincidentally clearly doing a topic on dinosaurs right now and Ben himself loves dinos
What’d he do to get detention?
Those door were clearly broken before the Gorgonopsid walked through
Okay, but the teacher should be able to hear the dinosaur through the door and walls
“Pick on someone your own size.” Stephen, how tall do you think you are
Parkour!
Again this Gorgonopsid is throwing impossible shit, this time a pair of lockers
Stephen. Stephen it’s an exterior fire door. Stephen you just have to push the bar. See the bar? StEPHEN
Claudia has put her heeled wellies back on. Yes, high-heeled wellies are a thing. You’d think putting stiletto heels on wellies would kinda defeat the purpose of the welly, but they sell
This makes me want to write some original season 1-2 episodes for Alex Hart. Anyone else interested? Could explore the no-Claudia timeline too...
I don’t think I’ve ever had a Yorkie bar....The Yorkie Bar slogan from 2002 to 2012 was “Not for Girls” Fun Fact
And there’s Ryan’s body....
Oh man, Nick’s going to cry
........You’ve been there for an hour already?
Ma wife
Ryan: You stay, I stay Nick: That’s just childish
Wh....why are the guys in the white hazmat suits taking pictures or Nick? Let dude breath
Wilhelm Scream
Stephen Ex Machina
And Stephen’s just fine with that? The front of that pickup’s an accordion now! The Gorgonopsid was knocked out! But Stephen, the fragile little human? Was he even wearing a seatbelt??
“Some...force, out there, ripped the boundaries of space and time to shreds. Maybe it’s happened before, in which case, everything we thought we knew about the universe is wrong. Or, this is the first time, in which case, what changed? What happens next? Believe me, it’s very very far from over.”
Nick’s rearranged the photos on his desk since we last saw them. Either that or whoops continuity
Also that’s Stephen’s magnifying glass right there. Either whoops continuity again or Nick picked it up from Stephen’s desk just to put it down on his own
See, when there’s zero noise here, Nick knows someone is there. But when Helen breaks into Nick’s house and is still there when he’s there, he doesn’t notice
That ammonite be doing some funky shit
Also now we can see the ammonite, which means Helen may have taken that picture of herself with her, because it’s not back where it was before
Helen got really far away in those few seconds

Sky Cinema: What’s New in February 2021?
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
It’s that time of the month where we can give you a look ahead at what Sky Cinema has planned for the coming weeks, and since it doesn’t look like many of us are going very far, hopefully some of these upcoming movies will help to keep us busy during lockdown.
Without further ado, he’s what Sky Cinema has lined up for us…
Premieres
The 24th – 2nd February
BlacKkKlansman and Da 5 Bloods writer Kevin Willmott brings us the story of the all-black Twenty-Fourth United States Infantry Regiment, and delves into the the Houston Riot of 1917.
Weathering With You – 3rd February
In this acclaimed animated film, impressionable young Hodaka meets the conflicted Hina, who can control the weather. It’s really touching, funny and wonderful, and also a perfect movie for fans of Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name.
Bull – 4th February
Bull, which was a hit at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, focuses on the story of two people who find they have an unexpected connection. The drama follows a teen who collides with her neighbour, an aging bullfighter.
Birds of Prey – 5th February on Sky Cinema and the Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV
Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) dumps the Joker and forms her own squad in this DC spinoff film. Ewan McGregor co-stars as its villain, Black Mask.
Adopt a Highway – 7th February
Ethan Hawke leads this drama as a man recently released from over two decades in jail who finds an abandoned baby. Making sure the child has a good shot gives him a new purpose in life.
The Oath – 8th February
In this dark comedy, a man and his wife are shocked after learning that American citizens will have to sign a loyalty oath to the US president.
Nuclear – 9th February
Emilia Jones (Locke & Key) and George MacKay (1917) put in stellar performances in this tense offering about a young girl who holes up in an abandoned nuclear power station with her mother.
Dragon Rider – 12th February
Firedrake (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) wants to prove himself to the more senior dragons of his pack, but when he finds out humans are going to destroy their forest, he aims to stop the disaster from occurring.
Walkaway Joe – 17th February
A boy searching for his dad forges an unlikely friendship with a loner. Starring The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Spontaneous – 18th February
Mara’s (Katherine Langford) school classmates keep exploding, and thinking she might be next in line for the same fate forces her to live every moment as though it were her last.
To Olivia – 19th February
Hugh Bonneville plays late author Roald Dahl and Keeley Hawes stars as his wife Patricia Neal in this true story about the death of their young daughter.
You Should Have Left – 27th February
A smaller budgeted horror movie set in Wales with Amanda Seyfried and Kevin Bacon. You Should Have Left is very silly, but sometimes you want the comfort of a well-worn creepy tale.

CARRY ON
spoilers below but I’m very late to the game
here we go!!! there's Some Woman in the thumbnail for this episode and I'm like oh boy did you fuckers turn castiel into a girl to make it Not Gay, I will riot. we're off to a dread-inducing start I'm honestly not even sure I want to watch this? I have not heard anything good but since my options are either keep SPN blacklisted forever but ultimately get spoiled anyway, or use my dwindling remaining time to see it for myself without being told what happens, may as well be on my own terms I am hearing that misha and possibly j2 were not happy with this, whatever this is (?????) yikes I don't understand how you even have another episode after the last one. that seems like a traditional ending. you either beat a dead horse or go ultra meta and it sounds like they dropped the ball, big time but let's see jack's sweet and deserved better. there's a clock but it's NOT heat of the moment playing, damn oh the dog. we love you miracle dog sam's still jogging where's eileen!!!! I like seeing sam cooking I actually enjoy watching them do domestic stuff dean sneaking food to the dog 😭 can this be the whole episode, just them doing chores I meant to catch which book sam was reading I can't tell but it looks like it's old this is extra bonus sad for knowing that they couldn't even like, have a wrap party or anything. extra isolated. :( SPECIAL GUEST STAR JIM BEAVER!!! "Are you sure you're ready for this?" "Oh, I don't have a choice." dean hasn't been this relatable to me in years, this is how I feel watching this lmao akron pie fest dean dies of complications from diabetes god I miss bakeries or restaurants or anything I do love Sad Sam Face "I"'m thinking about Cas, you know? Jack. If they could be here." thank you Sam that pain isn't going away for me either "stop being an eeyore" Sam's the Eeyore of the series, Dean, okay, and same lmao jared fucking slammed that pie into jensen's face and they just filmed it. you can see the actual glee on his face brady??? like sam's old classmate? wasn't that his name? or no some kid. is this just a regular-ass monster of the week. do sam and dean just get killed by like. regular people? are there no monsters anymore. I would actually love that. humanity is truly the worst monster of all. didn't we learn that in season 1 :') in "the benders" are these guys sam and dean? are they just murdering monster families like they did in the holiday episode? what is happening. are those dean's shoes. I could probably recognize how they walk if I really paid attention i guess not. probably. "singer and kripke, FBI" ha fucking clowns lmao poor sam they still have dad's journal, huh. THE LORE evil mimes. vamp-mimes. I guess they kill these dudes? we gonna unmask them or what there we go this guy looks like joseph gordon-levitt oh we love torture on this show this is definitely "dean who's NOT the ultimate killer" amirite "if those kids are dead he's gonna use a spoon" how very walter sullivan of you also I feel like sam would not do this anymore but hey who am I, someone who likes consistent characterization? lol we're back to creepy barns instead of wet pipe factories dean has a fucking shuriken lmao I honestly for real need a machete for the overgrown weeds I don't hate this so far? I'm tired of the constant torture but I guess this feels like early seasons, kind of. idk. lmao sam with the concussions. classic tie them to a chair. it's what we do. i will be disappointed if they are not tied to a chair jenny? cue studio killers. I do not remember whatever episiode this is but it looks very early based on sam's hair oh thanks sam. couldn't get out of this episode without beheading a woman too one of the suggestions for me typing "woman" was a high-heeled shoe emoji. thanks, predictive text...?????? true feminist oh damn he could very well get tetanus from that. that's how trinity dies, man. should've gotten your booster shot, dean. vaccines save lives this is like the plot of signs why don't you guys wear bulletproof shit. your plot armor was holding you together until now. GUYS THIS IS HOW HUNTERS GO OKAY don't ever un-impale someone, guys like "dean we are in a major city, there are ambulances" call fucking 911, someone could be there already "I've always looked up to you" because you're taller than me lmaoooo idefk what to say about this like. we all know this is how hunters die. you fucking leered at jessica is what you did, dean if sam makes it out of this I'll accept it. if sam lives I can be okay. if this is the only way sam gets free of this, I'm okay. CALL 911 AND CALL JACK "always keep fighting" aw :( they're both very good at crying, I will give them that we never think it's gonna be the day. at least you got pie. OH THE WINCHESTER FAMILY MUSIC don't do this to me dean got a way better death than castiel. this actually reminds me a liiiiittle bit of the end of season 2? with how dean holds sam's body. the writing here is overwrought though. jared and jensen do the best they can with the script they're given but like you guys just FOUGHT GOD. they're a bit too up their own ass with this. you can tell that dabb thinks he's very clever. sam... gets a dog again? at least. i guess. the pacing is bad. I don't hate this on principle but it is not executed well. I am having like no emotional response to this except maybe relief for sam in a horrid way. like, you're free! at what cost. it's like the opposite of season 5? sam survives instead of dean. and... sam marries a dog. where do they get all this fucking lumber!!! did sam chop that all himself dude if he woke up to "heat of the moment" i'd lose my shit in the best way. gabriel wins. "gotta keep you on your toes." what had to change in this because of the pandemic? at least sam has a dog to be in scenes with him. the two guns as big and little brothers is an interesting choice of a shot. god the fucking phones. "DHS" "CIA" "dean's 'other other' phone" "state patrol" what's the paperwork on his desk? (512) is an Austin area code I have this on amazon prime and the saddest thing thus far is X-Ray: Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester, with no other actors at all. meta ways, pandemic related. "this is agent bon jovi" donna's alive??? sam just quit, babe. just quit. or take a day off at least, jesus. didn't you just drive back from ohio are you even gonna go back to the bunker DEAN IN HEAVEN!!! how'd you get here. "well at least I made it to heaven" lmao he said the same thing oh hey bobby!! I love jack god i've missed jim beaver you guys moved on to dream bubbles!!!!! RUFUS how very homestuck + narnia of you, starring sam winchester as susan pevensie so jack just like melded all of these metaphysical spaces, I'm cool with that "so the question is what are you gonna do now, dean?" get a better beer so I can drink and drive with my car that's in heaven, I'm already dead so who cares what I hit TELL ME WHERE IS BALTHAZAR FOR I MUCH DESIRE TO SPEAK WITH HIM break everyone out of the empty I do get the impression this was supposed to be a big cast reunion and the pandemic clobbered that :( oh it's the original license plate on the impala sure do love that cas and jack "helped" to give dean everything he's ever wanted. the only time "carry on my wayward son" has been diegetic I guess sam and the dog had a child I like jared in glasses are we doing a bunch of elderly makeup yeah there he is did they just spray grey temp dye on his hair or what is sam gonna drive into toluca lake!!! buddy please don't just run the engine in a garage, he took off his glasses and that makes me nervous jake gyllenhaal looking dude which cover is this must be nice to have healthcare I so appreciate that sam's wife has zero personality and is merely in the background, of no importance whatsoever compared to his kid named dean are the two impalas gonna meet in heaven????? vancouver is beautiful, or wherever this is at jared looks so cozy in that coat you can tell j2 really do love each other for real the majesty of that forest/that river got me choked up a bit, it's such a lonely thing. like. I can see what they were going for? like dean just... getting sick, falling off a ladder, getting in a car accident, etc etc would've been more potent, I think. the execution was not good. I'm not that unhappy though. it's all right. eh. it's fine. the heartfelt message from the cast (what's left of them....) and the crew was sweet. I want to know what they were intending to do? I feel like you can definitely feel the weight of COVID fucking this up which is genuinely upsetting. sam gets like 50 years of being free of dean I GUESS???? perhaps the only way to break the cycle.
at least there was no sexual assault in this episode. i have definitely watched way worse episodes of this show. it's like. twee. but I can't be mad at these guys especially with how much I know jared in particular has been struggling with the state of the world this year but jensen talked about it with rosenbaum on his show too. 2020 has been rough. like. at least they filmed it. whatever. I feel like I get what they were trying to do even if circumstances meant it wasn't really pulled off. it seems like they were supposed to have a big cast reunion and the pandemic took the wind completely out of their sails. this feels incredibly tacked on. 15x19 would've been a much better place to stop. I feel like I just read andrew dabb's notes. I get what they were trying to go for but they didn't pull it off. I thought it was gonna be a lot worse tbh in summary: EHHHHHHHHH

My son the global pop star? Olly Alexander's mum Vicki Thornton talks about growing up gay in Gloucestershire, Gogglebox and Glastonbury
Olly Alexander's mum speaks candidly about being mother of the flamboyant Years and Years frontman
Watching Vicki Thornton on the Celebrity Gogglebox sofa it would be easy to imagine that having a famous child is an easy passport to the good life.
Every Friday night for weeks the Forest of Dean mum-of-two has been on TV  sipping Prosecco while commenting on TV programmes with son Olly Alexander, the flamboyant frontman with the chart-topping band Years & Years.
On the face of it it’s been a charmed motherhood. First she watched the talented young man leave college to succeed as an actor, treading the boards as Peter Pan in a play with Judi Dench and appearing in movies such as Gulliver’s Travels, The Riot Club and Great Expectations.
Within a few years he appeared to seamlessly achieve global musical success with a chart-topping band and which led to a much applauded appearance on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury Festival 2019. This weekend he is appearing on the same stage as Ariana Grande at Manchester Pride.
Yet anybody who follows Olly knows it’s not all been red carpet premieres,  backstage passes and Gogglebox for Vicky, it’s also been about hearing uncomfortable truths about a son who has used his growing success as a platform to publicly campaign for LGBT rights.
Growing Up Gay
Not only has she had to listen to how he secretly self-harmed and developed bulimia as a closet gay teenager growing up in the Forest of Dean, but in 2017 she also bravely agreed to appear in an an emotional BBC Three documentary about how it can lead to mental health issues.
In Growing Up Gay Olly admitted that just driving home back to sleepy Coleford with the film crew stirred up such painful memories that it made him feel physically sick.
If that wasn’t difficult enough to hear, Vicki learned that Olly, who attended St  John’s Cof E Primary School in Coleford and Monmouth Comprehensive, had been unable to tell anyone that he was being bullied from a young age because he had long hair and seemed gay.
“When he asked if I would do the documentary, it was a bit of a decision to make because I knew it would mean digging up the past and going further into the reasons for the problem,”  said community artist Vicki.
“ I knew that having to face up to issues  I was not aware of at the time was going to be a very difficult process, but if it was going to help Olly and other people in similar situations I had to do it.
“I had to be  open and honest about everything which meant confronting my own feelings of guilt. You have to openly accept that you may have made some bad choices and decisions but you are human. It’s not about making excuses, it’s about learning from your mistakes.”
The documentary was so painful that the producers had Vicki assessed psychologically to make sure she could deal with the deeply personal issues it raised and arranged for her to have counselling beforehand.
Still a much watched video on iPlayer, it shows them sifting through photographs and videos of what his mum thought was a happy, innocent childhood on a beautiful part of the world.
“Going through the family history you see all these little happy, innocent little faces” said Vicky who also has an older son who has aspergers syndrome. “It’s terrible to think somebody could be hurting them.
“I think the bullying was mostly mental but when someone is full of joy and happiness and somebody else comes along and closes that down, it is the saddest thing.
“As parents you think you know what’s going on, you think that they are safe, they are happy, they are fed, all the boxes are ticked. But you don’t know the half of it.
“The  little things I heard about what happened to Olly that he and his brother have talked about, are awful.”
Everyone thinks their child is amazing but I knew Olly was special
Community artist Vicki said she knew “in her bones” even before Olly, 29, was born that he would go on do great things.
“Every mother thinks that, and every child is amazing, but I knew that this child was different, there was something there,” she said.
“Olly was always a bright, funny, happy child, full of life. He was such a bouncy, lovely little cherub  that I could never get cross with him,  ever.
“On the rare occasion that he would throw a tantrum I would find it funny and just laugh at him. He would just stand and scream blue murder and it was just hilarious.”
Life in the Forest of Dean
Their early days were spent living near theme parks that his father promoted but in 1997 the family moved to the Forest of Dean where his parents set about creating a model village tourist attraction.
It was a musical, creative, left leaning household and although he loves Rihanna, and famously met the singer on the Graham Norton show,  Olly, credits much of his influences to listening to his mother’s tapes of Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder. She was one of the founders of the local music festival where Olly cut his teeth.
“I used to be a puppeteer actor in an education travelling theatre company in the late 1980s," said Vicky when asked about her bohemian background.
“When I was younger I was also a backing singer in a band called Innamanna. We played the Marquee in London and did some recording but when we had to decide ‘do we stick with this or carry on with our careers?’ it folded.
"But I couldn’t stand on a stage in front of thousands of people like Olly does. I would die.”
Olly as a boy
It was clear that Olly had inherited her artistic streak and although a talented gymnast and able academic, he concentrated on music and drama, later saying it was because he felt at home with the weird kids.
Vicki remembers him being very driven, open minded and very focussed.
“Olly taught himself to play the piano and to sing and there was always a healthy competition with his best friend Joe to get the best parts in the school plays,” recalled Vicki
“He was always singing all over the house.  He loved Disney and he would get old song books full of the classics and teach himself on the piano.
“He did not want to be in musicals but loved the singing and performance side of it.”
I did not realise there was so much pain going on inside.
In the documentary the talented singer songwriter says that  he did not have the vocabulary to put how he was feeling into words and  felt too ashamed to admit it anybody he was gay. Even his mother. He desperately wanted to be straight so he never admitted it.
“On the surface he was a real high achiever so I  had no idea there was so much starting to bubble up as a young teenager,” said Vicki.
“I thought the sky was the limit for him. I thought he could do anything he could put his mind to but I did not realise there was so much pain going on inside.”
“Because he was always fun happy, smiley,  lovely child achieving lots of things at school, I thought things were fine.
“Probably my eye was  off the ball because I was going through a lot of life changes at the time and maybe I was in denial that there was something going wrong.”
Marriage split
In an interview last year with the former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell, Olly says his diaries show a clear link between his father leaving and creating a “family implosion” and his mental health health issues developing around he age of 13.
They are estranged but met up when his father contacted Olly through Twitter and in subsequent interviews it’s clear the singer was less than impressed with the reality as opposed to the imagined version of an aspiring musician father who he had always wanted to impress.
“Splitting up with their dad made life a lot harder, definitely financially, and so life was a big struggle,” said Vicki.
“That’s probably part of the reason why I had my eye off the ball. I was distracted doing other things, so we were a bit dysfunctional or a while, which I feel guilty about.
“But I don’t feel guilty about that relationship ending at all, both for the boys and myself.”
Coming out
She says although from the outside it looked like Olly was enjoying a glittering lifestyle after leaving sixth form college to travel abroad filming the movie Summerhill, he was often penniless and had to take jobs such as selling hot dogs on the South Bank in between the contracts. She wasn’t in a position to help pay the rent either.
He was 18 or 19 and involved in the gay party scene in London when he plucked up the courage to pick up the phone and tell her outright that he was gay.
Vicki said: “He had said to me once ‘I don’t think you are going to have any grandchildren’. Not taking the hint, I said ‘well never say never’.
“He obviously got to the point where he thought ‘I’d better actually say it to mum because she doesn’t get it’.
“He phoned me up and said ‘you do know I am gay don’t you?’ . I said ‘Are you? OK’ and that was it really. I suppose I had a feeling he might be but maybe I didn’t want to confirm that because of fear about what his life might become because of all the homophobia out there.”
Vicky told told her elderly mother,  who sang on Broadway with the D’ Oyly opera company before cutting her career short to get married and have a family.
“Her immediate reaction was ‘but he will not be able to go to Africa, it’s illegal in Africa’, laughed Vicky about her 89-year-old mother who follows her grandson avidly on social media and has even seen Years & Years in concert.
“Like me, she doesn’t want to see him marginalised because marginalised sections of society can  attract a lot of negative behaviour. Nobody wants to see their nearest and dearest suffer from that.”
I just hope kids today aren’t going through the same thing
From that moment on Vicky has worried about her son being the victim of homophobia and although she is intensely proud, she still fears that being a figurehead for equality could make him a target.
“I wish he felt he could have talked  to me and maybe I could have prevented all of that, but I understand that is very difficult for young people,” she said.
“I remember that feeling of not being able to talk to my parents  and I just hope kids today aren’t going through the same thing. They get more support at school than they did 15 years ago but bullying and social media trolling still happens.
“I do worry about him being exposed to bigotry and homophobia. it’s not nice to think about your child living in fear.”
In an interview last year Olly was asked if he ever wanted to confront the bullies who made his life miserable growing up but he said he doesn’t think about it much any more because his life had changed so much.
He said he still takes anti-depressants, has weekly therapy sessions and works out a lot to keep his mental and physical health on track.
While campaigning for more to be done to prevent male suicide after being named as GQ Man of the Year,  he admitted he still has occasional days when he doesn’t want to get out of bed because his life does not feel worth living and can be too frightened to go on stage, or cries when he comes off. He hides behind outlandish costumes and make up.
The fun side of having a famous son
It's clear that there is a close bond between mother and son and Olly likes her to share in his successes.
For instance in the early days the pop star  arranged for her to wear an expensive diamond necklace to the red carpet premiere of Great Expectations in which he played Herbert Pocket.
“It was insane,” said Vicki. “ We had taxi from where he lived to the red carpet and there was all these people at the barriers.
“I thought they are going to be so disappointed when I get out because I’m no-one. Somebody took me to one side while Olly went off to meet the paparazzi and because it was raining they put a brolly over my head.
“Then we went in and watched the film which was mind-blowing because I was sat next to some of the actor’s. When it was finished we went to the after-party which was all very very glam.”
Naturally shy, Vicky was overawed to meet the likes of Jeremy Irvine, who starred in War Horse.
“I was quite overwhelmed by it all at first but I have got more relaxed about being in that kind of environment,” she said.
“The whole thing is a bit surreal really. It’s a bit  like a film in itself. Once I was this close to Helen Bonham Carter who I think is fantastic, but you don’t want to go up to people saying ‘I love you’.
“Olly told me once, that when they started filming he actually said to her ‘I love you Helen Bonham Carter’ and and she said ‘I would love you too if I knew who you were’, but she later came to the stage door to congratulate him after Alice and Peter.”
More recently Vicky was overwhelmed when she was introduced the men from one of her favourite TV programmes, the Netflix series Queer Eye, at Radio One’s Big Weekend in Swansea.
“I love watching them but when Olly introduced me I didn’t know what to say and was stuck for words because I get so tongue tied,” she admitted.
Gogglebox
The star is protective of Vickyi who does not even like speaking on the stage at Coleford Music Festival but told her it was time for her to come out of her shell for Gogglebox.
“It’s different because there isn’t anybody else in the room and it’s all about Olly because that’s who they are interested in,” she said of the TV show.
“It feels really nice sitting there together eating snacks, drinking Prosecco and enjoying each other’s company, but I don’t think I have anything really  interesting to say.
“You are thinking ‘should I be on my best behaviour because I’m on tele or should I be like I am at home?’. There is a little conflict going on in your head but it’s really good fun.
“It’s weird watching yourself back,  seeing what you do, what you sound like and the faces you pull. I didn’t realise I pulled so many weird faces.”
Every week she has to decide on a comfortable top for sitting on the  sofa and says they did initially consider getting matching onesies and really mad slippers but decided against it.
She shares TV tastes with her son who loves programmes such as Killing Eve and Stranger Things and Fleabag. They also love Gogglebox, especially Rylan Clark Neal and his mother and Chris Eubank and his son. She was delighted when Rylan sent a lovely message to Olly about her.
“If Olly likes something I will give it a go because I know I will probably like it,” she says. “I would never have watched Love Island if Olly hadn’t watched it. “
Staying true to yourself
Before the Years and Years single Communion catapulted the band into into the charts, Vicky had another important phone call from the Shine singer.
“He said they didn’t want him to say he was gay and he was really cross about it because didn’t want to pretend to be something he wasn’t” she said.
“I told him to stick to his guns, that you have to be true to yourself for anything to be real. I have taught them that if they are kind, truthful and respectful to other people, everything else will follow.”
Olly took her advice and when she first went to Glastonbury to see him burst onto the John Peel stage in 2015 wearing a rainbow, Pride suit he was involved in a very public relationship with Neil Milan from Clean Bandit who were playing the Pyramid stage.
Although in  pop star mode he is happy to speak openly about his own sexuality and  ongoing struggles with anxiety, Olly also admits that the fairytale of fame and fortune has not proved the antidote to depression and he remains a leading advocate for mental health issues.
In fact Gay Times described him as one of the most influential gay pop stars of this generation and added: "All hail the King!”
Glastonbury 2019
Vicky was astounded by how big it has become since the days she used to go and got lost for hours on the first night after deciding to camp for the weekend.
On Sunday Olly arranged for Vicky, her partner Kev and Coleford Mayor Nick Penny to go backstage and then watch from the Pyramid Stage balcony as he gave a widely-applauded, eloquent moving speech marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
Many say the speech appealing for compassion and a society that does not leave anybody behind was the highlight of the festival.
“It’s not the best view because you cannot see what’s happening from the front, but just to be there looking  out from the stage and seeing all those thousands and thousands of people who are all there to see Years and Years and Olly, well it was just mesmerising,” she said.
“That whole feeling of emotion, the pride, It’s like when you see your child in a nativity play but  a million times over.
“I knew he was going to make a speech and I knew that knowing Olly it was going to be special, but I did not  did not know the content or when he was going to say it.
“I was just so proud and when I got home I had to watch it over and over again.”
“I cannot believe how brave and strong Olly is about what he believes in. I admire that in him so much and have so much respect for him to be able to do that.”
The feeling is mutual and Olly has repeatedly spoken about how proud he was of his mum to speak so openly about his childhood in the documentary even though she is not to blame for his troubles.
Olly takes care of his family
Although he spends long periods touring with the band, when he is in London Olly has a small set of friends from home who he has known since primary school which Vickis believes it is good for his sanity.
He recently spoke about how good it has been going from being too skint to go out to be able to help his family out financially and pay for the drinks on a night out.
Thanks to Olly buying her a new house Vicky has moved from the small cottage in the centre of Coleford where she would get the odd knock on the door from Years and Years fans pretending to be looking for a non existent neighbour.
Speaking to her it’s clear that have a famous child is not too much different than having any other. You always feel guilty, you are very proud of their achievements, you want them to happy, you worry about them being safe and you lose your name. At one festival she spotted a flag saying “Olly’s Mum”, something parents all over the world can identify with.
“As a parent I think you always feel guilty, but  I’m proud that Olly has grown into this amazing human being,” says Vicki who has been on a journey alongside her famous son.
“It’s such an amazing thing to have happened that to try and get your head around it all is impossible, so you don’t bother.
“Lots of people ask about him and say things like  – ‘your boy’s doing well’ and I think ‘just a bit’. On the whole though, life just carries on as normal.”

tv show tag game!!
Pick 5 tv shows, then answer the following questions, don’t cheat!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I was tagged by the ever so sweet @darknightfrombeyond. Day, you have a sixth sense that tells you when I’m bored and wanna be tagged in things, I swear. (Well, I’m always bored and wanna be Tagged in things, but you know what I mean… :P)
My 5 tv shows (Which let me tell ya was pretty freaking hard to pick)
1.  Supernatural
2.  Teen Wolf
3.  The Walking Dead
4. Gilmore Girls
5.  Altered Carbon
·        The Questions
1. Who is your favourite character in 2?
It is a tossup between Stiles and Isaac. I love them both so much, and really it depends on the episode. (Given that Stiles is IN more, I suppose that would be him…)
2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?
Metatron…yeah, that’s about it.
3. What was your favourite episode of 4?
Oh damn…that is so unfair, there are so many good ones! I think my favorite has to be the one where Rory goes to water the neighbor’s garden for Lorelai. She gets stuck and she can’t get Dean so Jess saves her, but then Dean finally gets back to her saying he’s on his way and he unsaves her because he knows how important Dean is to her. It’s also just a really funny story about this random neighbor that makes you realize that apparently only the Foresters can be the only normal new people in the Hollow.
4. What is your favourite season of 5?
Well there’s only the one out right now, but I love it, I don’t think it’ll be topped. It’s one of those scifi shows that is made into a pretty complete story in one season.
5. Who is your favourite couple in 3?
Maggie and Glenn Rhee! They are such sweet babies and they went through so much together. I loved their story and it is so compelling to see where they strayed or stayed true to the comics.
6.  Who is your favourite couple in 2?
Scallison. I just can’t get over them, though Scira is a pretty damn close second. Scott and Allison were such a well rounded couple, they weren’t perfect, and they had their hold-ups, but they always loved each other and always found a way to make things work, whether they were dating or not.
7. What is your favourite episode of 1?
Oh, Jesus… Probably the episode where Dean dies a thousand different ways. It was the first real glimpse we got of what would happen if Sam lost his brother, and how far he would take things. Or really, it just shows how much he could be like Dean and John and it scares the viewer as well as Sam.
8. What is your favourite episode of 5?
That would have to be the episode where Kovach saves Kristen and he just lets her be pissed at him because it was so much better than her dying. Also watching her grief over losing her partner. And the way the episode just flows into the next was so flawless. The raw emotions that were there, as well as the humanity that was being laid out in front of you was freaking amazing.
9. What is your favourite season of 2?
Season 3. And no, I will not be choosing between A or B (it’s totally B because Nogitsune was Badass, but I digress)
10. How long have you been watching 1?
YEARS! I think I watched it around the time that season 4 aired, so my sister and I were a few years behind, but I’ve been watching it ever since. I take breaks from it every now and again, but I always end up going on a binge so I can jump back into it. It’s my comfort show, my homework show, my I’m doing things and need something in the background show…if I am watching TV and it is on I zone in on that channel and will watch it, not caring where in the story I am.
11. How did you become interested in 3?
So, I remember it came out on Halloween one year, and it was a cold year. Because I wasn’t going to watch it due to trick or treating and school the next day. But then my parents said they were gonna let us skip it and I sat and watched that premier in my parents room because I was the only one that wanted to see it. I fell right down the rabbit hole, got comics for Christmas started slowly luring family members into watching it. They’ve all given up on it, but I’m still hanging on. (and contemplating watching Fear the Walking Dead as well as whatever movie special they’re gonna have with Rick in it.)
12. Who is your favourite actor in 4?
Melissa McCarthy. I am such a Hipster when it comes to her. I loved Sookie more than anything else I’ve seen her in (except for maybe the Heat, that movie is a fuckin’ riot)
13. Which do you prefer 1, 2 or 5?
I’m pretty sure that how I answered 10 should tell you the answer to that.
14. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3?
Supernatural, but that’s because there is WAAAAAY more of it.
15. If you could be anyone from 4 who would you be?
Rory Gilmore. Granted, if you ask certain people in my life I already am so it may not be too much of a stretch.
16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
I mean maybe if there were a mini-series, but honestly, Rory and Lor would die due to lack of food and all of the physical activity. Also, pretty sure Luke would disappear and never be heard from again. Or maybe he’d just buddy up with Daryl and then it would be The Walking Dead and Danes.
17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple?
I’m fairly certain the fandom has done enough of that for me to not make any surprising comparisons, but Uh…I really would have like to see Bobby and Ellen actually get together. We see it in one episode, so maybe that’s cheating, but I think they would work really well together.
18. Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
Not gonna lie, there were so many micro stories and branches and intricacies in Altered Carbon that I can’t even begin to compare it to Teen Wolf, sorry Jeff Davis, but you were far to wishy washy to stand a freaking chance against it.
19. Which has the better theme music, 2 or 4?
I love the music for both, but I think Teen Wolf has to win, because the Laaaa laaa laa-aaah lala gets to be really freaking annoying after a while.
Uh shoot Idk who to tag or even how many people to tag!!! @captdnvrs @whindsor @ceruleanmusings @ofbadchoices @have-fun-storming-the-kastle @drbobbimorse @nightstorms-universes aaaaand @purple-and-red-ribbons

Favourite woman-directed films I saw in 2018
It’s funny because when the year started I thought I could never watch 52 films by women, considering that I usually barely watch fifty films a year, total. Then I watched 306 new-to-me films, out of which 105 were directed by women.
I saw so many good woman-directed films that I thought it would be hard to choose ten to make this list, but then I realised that I only had to include those films that absolutely blew my mind, and bam! Ten already.
Winter’s Bone (Debra Granik, 2010)
On Body and Soul (Testről és lélekről, Ildikó Enyedi, 2017)
We Need to Talk About Kevin (Lynne Ramsay, 2011)
River of Grass (Kelly Reichardt, 1994)
The Midnight Swim (Sarah Adina Smith, 2014)
Raw (Grave, Julia Ducournau, 2016)
M.F.A. (Natalia Leite, 2017)
Daisies (Sedmikrásky, Věra Chytilová, 1966)
Always Shine (Sophia Takal, 2016)
Revenge (Coralie Fargeat, 2017)
Very broadly speaking, these ten can be divided into three categories. There’s gorey, imaginative, feminist genre -- Revenge, M.F.A., Raw; there’s visually and/or narratively boundary-expanding cinema -- Daisies, Always Shine, The Midnight Swim, We Need to Talk About Kevin, On Body and Soul; and then there are the indie stories about marginalised people, which might be my favourites of all -- here, River of Grass and Winter’s Bone.
When 2018 started I had only seen one film by Kelly Reichardt, and none by Debra Granik. Now they’re both among my favourite filmmakers. When I saw my first Kelly Reichardt film, years ago, I thought Wow, some people do make films about actual people. I’ve seen all of them now, and I liked all of them, but it wasn’t that hard picking River of Grass for this list -- there’s something so Carson McCullers, so Flannery O’Connor about the story, and visually it is so dreamlike.
I put Debra Granik together with Kelly Reichardt because their stories feel similar in many ways (and both feel similar to Agnès Varda’s), and seeing Winter’s Bone I was just completely blown away. It’s one of those films I would unreservedly call a masterpiece, and recommend to absolutely everyone. What places it above Leave No Trace (which I put as my number one new release of 2018) is the plot, and the ending especially, both completely surreal and mundane, like a cherry on top of spectacular acting and visuals worthy of Dorothea Lange .
Another slap in the face was We Need to Talk About Kevin. Together with a few other films in this list, it made me ponder what film can really do in terms of creating intricate, media-specific experiences that ultimately serve to provide a more rounded understanding of reality and what it means to be a person. We Need to Talk About Kevin was the first of these and probably had the biggest impact on me. Lynne Ramsay really is one of the few people with a completely unique vision.
I put Daisies, Always Shine, The Midnight Swim and On Body and Soul in the same category, although they don’t have a lot in common with each other, because they all have this aspect of visual and/or narrative boundary-pushing. It is so incredible that Daisies still feels like that to a first-time viewer today, even though it came out more than fifty years ago.
I saw Always Shine and The Midnight Swim around the same time and keep associating them in my mind for the nods to David Lynch, indie feel, and non-linear storytelling. Probably The Midnight Swim impressed me more, because it was the first time (and only, so far) that I saw a first-person narrative that looked quite like that.
On Body and Soul belongs in the same area of this mental map mainly because of the dream sequences. Before I saw it I probably would have found it impossible to talk about dreams in a way that didn’t feel recycled, but this managed just that. The juxtaposition of the wild forest animals at night with the cattle in the slaughterhouse during the day walks such a fine line between surrealism and social commentary, and the slaughterhouse sequences are all filmed with such incredible tact -- which only serves to make them more shocking.
Then there are the great genre films. Raw was fantastic, in part because it is so rare for a French person such as myself to find a French film to her liking, but also because everything about it felt so different -- it is firmly set in the horror genre, but it also draws from such a wide range of influences. M.F.A. and Revenge mirror each other in many ways, because they’re both rape-revenge films, a sub-genre I am incredibly glad and grateful that women are tackling in such interesting and challenging ways. I liked M.F.A. better, maybe, because it felt more real, and the ending better-thought-out, but if anything, I’d recommend a double-feature night to watch both.
Great films that didn’t quite make the cut, in no particular order:
Addicted to Fresno (Jamie Babbit, 2015): best sex comedy about actual grown-ups
I Think We’re Alone Now (Reed Morano, 2018): best post-apocalyptic “everyone is gone from the surface of the Earth but us” film
Ginger & Rosa (Sally Potter, 2012): best Cold-War England drama
Meek’s Cutoff (Kelly Reichardt, 2010) : best contemplative Western
Into the Forest (Patricia Rozema, 2015): best post-apocalyptic survivalist feminist film
Vagabond (Sans toit ni loi, Agnès Varda, 1984) : best film shot in my area of France
Khadak (Peter Brosens and Jessica Hope Woodworth, 2006): best science fiction film that takes place in Mongolia
Over time, I’m finding it easier and easier to watch more woman-directed films, both because I know where to look and because I’ll find it easier to relax and get into any genre at all when I know there’ll be infinitely less chance of rampant misogyny ruining an otherwise perfectly good film. It seems barely believable, now, to think that five years ago I didn’t know one single woman director, when clearly the quality and the variety are there, the work is there, and it stands so tall on its own.
Full 105-film list under the cut!
The Bad Batch (Ana Lily Amirpour, 2016)
Gas Food Lodging (Allison Anders, 1992)
Red Road (Andrea Arnold, 2006)
American Honey (Andrea Arnold, 2016)
A United Kingdom (Amma Asante, 2016)
Addicted to Fresno (Jamie Babbit, 2015)
The Selfish Giant (Clio Barnard, 2013)
Novitiate (Maggie Betts, 2017)
Bird Box (Susanne Bier, 2018)
Blue My Mind (Lisa Brühlmann, 2017)

001 for Gilmore Girls!
YESSSSSS, A GILMORE GIRLS ASK. PRAISE THE LORD.
Favourite character: Jess Mariano!!! Yeah, he’s a bit of a dickhead as he’s growing up, but I believe that’s for certain reasons. Also, he’s just my favourite little witty brat. I absolutely love how he grows up as the series progresses. He’s the only character that I can see a true positive character development arc in.
Least favourite character: Should I be edgy and say Lorelai Gilmore or just say Dean Forester? Lorelai honestly bugs the crap out of me.
5 favourite ships (canon or non-canon): I’m Literati through and through. That’s Jess/Rory, if y’all didn’t get that lol. Um, I don’t mind Luke/Lorelai. Oh, I liked Lane and Dave a lot! But maybe that’s just because of my giant crush on Adam Brody. Whoops. I also don’t mind the rarer pair of Rory/Paris sometimes.
Character I find most attractive: Jess. Duh. (MILO VENTIMIGLIA IS SO ATTRACTIVE IN ALL FORMS.)
Character I would marry: See previous answer. But uh, only the grown up version of him, lmao. I can’t deal with all that teenage angst.
Character I would be best friends with: Laaaaane!!! I love her. OH I LIKE PARIS A LOT, TOO, even if she’s insufferable lol.
A random thought: This show is a hot mess. Amy Sherman-Palladino is a hot mess. I can’t believe she wanted to end the original series in season seven with THAT. Like, are you good, woman?! I know it’s ~poetic~ to do the full circle thing, but guess what? I FUCKING HATE IT.
An unpopular opinion: I mean, I’ve seen this around a lot, but I hate Dean so much. I hate how he treated Rory. I also hate who Rory was when she was with Logan. AND I LOVE JESS/RORY BUT I HATE HOW THEY HAD HIM PINING AFTER HER LIKE A LOVESICK IDIOT AT THE END OF THE REVIVAL. GIVE MY MAN SOME HOPE!!!
My Canon OTP: Jess and Rory are not canon and I will forever RIOT over it. You know how much shit-baiting they did pre-revival? I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THEY MIGHT BE CANON. [breathes into paper bag to calm down]. I guess the only ‘canon’ OTP I have for this show is Luke/Lorelai, but I don’t even care about them that much. Big sigh.
My Non-canon OTP: …see previous answer.
Most Badass Character: I honestly find Lane to be such a badass. ALSO, MRS KIM. I LOVE HER A LOT. Uh, does Paris count for this? Also her, I suppose.
Most Epic Villain: [snort] Well, Gilmore Girls wasn’t really a show with ‘villains’. I… don’t really think there’s a right answer for this question.
Pairing I am not a fan of: Dean/Rory (what are y’all smoking, I’m sorry), I didn’t mind Logan/Rory either by the end of the first series but by the revival? THROW IT IN THE TRASH.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): [HEAVY BREATHING INTO PAPER BAG] RORY GILMORE. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THE REVIVAL TARNISHED HER FOR ME? DO YOU? I DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE REVIVAL. IT MAKES ME VERY SAD. She didn’t develop at all so many years later. What the hell was she doing fucking around with Logan? Also, driven Rory was so fucked up in terms of her employment?! I know that she isn’t perfect (hell no, she definitely isn’t) and it’s ~realistic~ to have her be unsure of her job, but JESUS CHRIST. AND THEN SHE GETS [SPOILER] KNOCKED UP. BY LOGAN!!!!! EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!! REPEATING HER MOTHER’S MISTAKE!!!!! Let me die, it would be less painful than this.
Favourite Friendship: I love Lane and Rory, I also adore Paris and Rory. And I even like Jess and Rory just as friends.
Character I most identify with: Lane, I think. Maybe Jess a little, too.
Character I wish I could be: Lord, please grant me the wit of Jess Mariano, the drive of Paris Gellar, the personality of Lane Kim, and … er. Idk what else. Make me Jess when he’s older if anything, lol.
