Don't have time for much today so bust of Eurybia, Zinnia/Liza (the Johto one)'s daughter, although she ends up being raised by Flannery/Liza down the line once Zinnia passes away.

The Greek Goddesses Challenge by LJJ-Sims is a challenge based on the ancient mythical creatures and stories from Greece. I fell in love with Greek mythology in high school and have not let that love go since. In this challenge you will follow 10 deities in their journey through life. Every goddess has a different take on and goal in life. Special about this challenge?  All your kids have little challenges of their own, not only your heir. These challenges are optional, so if you feel like these are too much or just too restricting for you: by all means let them go. 👋… who is your favourite OC?

Hmm. Had to think on this one. My favorite OC is Eurybia. I see a future with a happy ending for her. Her story fascinates me. Which I guess is silly cause I created her but there's something about her....I guess, she is Dusk and meant to symbolize sacrifice and darkness but also she has a light inside her that shines as bright as the stars.

Walk with me: an early October stroll through the virgin hemlock forest along Little Laurel Run in Coopers Rock State Forest. The older I get the more I find myself drawn to animism. It’s so easy to walk in an old forest like this and imagine that everything in it - rocks, trees, moss - has been gifted with a sentient awareness. Not by some hateful, spiteful god, but by the grace of nature in her infinite wisdom.

Being late was uncharacteristic of the King. He prided himself on being timely and keeping his word. They had made plans to spend the weekend together; however, the first night he was a no show. No word of being late or cancelling. She was alone in his Southern Palace with a few servants lurking around. While she respected his position as King and understood her place as his mistress (for the most part), he treated her with equal respect and acknowledgment. Even love; something he vowed he could never give his queen. Unpleasant thoughts began circling in her mind and kept her up at night. Half waiting for his arrival and half worried of his whereabouts and goings-on.

Morning came and her eyes heaved with tiredness and restlessness. Still with no sign of Crius, she expected him to forget their weekend altogether. She laid in the bed they shared, contemplating leaving for her own home soon. But a thought that fled once she heard the door open with familiar steps hitting the floor. Steps that belonged to the Ram King.

Eurybia quickly sat up and fixed her hair, trying to look some what presentable to him. He was still her king despite being lovers. However that concern for decorum quickly left as the disappointment hit her all over again. "So you finally showed up, your Majesty. What royal business kept you from even sending word of your absence? If it was even business at all."

Astraeus' father Krios died during the war, Pallas was like fighting too as an older teen of sorts, then just after Astraeus' aura manifested itself, their mother Eurybia died (this is important bc she gets inspired by his 'petals' and gifts Astraeus the tree seeds before she dies) and Pallas pretty much raised Astraeus.... As much as u can call that raising seeing as he was also very traumatized, just lost everyone and stuck w an infant in Hell. Astraeus says he doesnt know what family means, i think he means it very literally ;-;

White Wood Aster - Eurybia divaricata

Today's Native plant is one of my favorites, this aster can be found all over eastern woodlands in fall, favoring dry partially shaded forest floor habitat. White wood aster is a perennial herb with strap-like appendages that lead to a central yellow floret (ray floret to disk floret) that changes to deep red with age. This is one of the final flowering plants of the season and the larval food source of the Pearl Cresent butterfly.
