Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #1: Gaia, Complete sheets
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I present to you, the woman who started it all: Gaia! Or, as we know her now, Mother Earth. Enjoy this challenge :)
You are new to this world you have just moved to. A world that, to you, is the most beautiful yet. Nature all around you. A perfect place for a fresh start. You are so excited to meet all the people around you, find love, start a family! You want it all! Soon you meet your neighbors Ouranos, Pontus and Aitna. You soon become best friends with both Aitna and Pontus. And that Ouranos, He has something, doesn’t he? He makes you feel like he would steal all the stars in the sky just for you.
Little bit explanation with the sheets: - First sheet is for describing your current generation, with the challenges you need to do each life-stage. Also, because I love the myths, a bit of mythological background. May it inspire you :) - Second sheet is the preparation sheet for this generation, with important characters for your story. It is technically optional, but I love seeing sims with a backstory in my world, so I would highly recommend it. - Third sheet is for your gens children. They all have their own little challenges if your interested in those. I try to make all of them a bit different from each other, so it doesn't get boring. Your heir is also on this sheet, but I've put their challenges on their own sheets. Stay tuned for those ;) - Fourth sheet is completely optional. If you want sims with names from the myths and love making sims to see them in your world, this is for you! All with a little mythological background ofc, you know me.
Finished Gaia's Challenge? The next generation is Aphrodite! If you want to try her childhood challenges as well, look up her page once she is born :
The Greek Goddesses Challenge by LJJ-Sims is a challenge based on the ancient mythical creatures and stories from Greece. I fell in love with Greek mythology in high school and have not let that love go since. In this challenge you will follow 10 deities in their journey through life. Every goddess has a different take on and goal in life. Special about this challenge?  All your kids have little challenges of their own, not only your heir. These challenges are optional, so if you feel like these are too much or just too restricting for you: by all means let them go. I also have sheets for characters that you can make before you start each generation. This gives your challenge a lot more personality and makes it frankly easier and more fun!
A little disclaimer: because I made these gods and goddesses into a legacy challenge, the relationships in the myths don’t exactly match the relationship in this challenge. There is a lot of keep it in the family in mythology, to put it lightly. And apart from the fact that you can’t do that in the Sims, I don’t really like that part. So I didn’t include it, thus the inconsistency. An example: Ares is now Hera’s stepfather instead of her son, which she conceived with her brother  and husband Zeus. This inconsistency can also be found in the stories. It’s just based on and not copied exactly, as Sims live lives that are a lot shorter than those of immortal gods. And it takes a way from the creativity if we just copy the myths. Even if we wanted to do that, it’s quite hard, as every myths has its fair share of variations and some are just completely different stories.
I use the MCCC-mod to alter the length of life states. You can find the days-years ratio here: the boring stuff.

Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #5 Persephone: Complete
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You may bow now: The Queen of the Underworld has arrived! Please welcome Persephone to the stage!
When you were younger, your mother used to call you little Kore (maiden). a name as forgettable as your mother seems to think you are. You love her, really you do, but you wish she wouldn't be so strict. You need to be inside the house before dark. Hell, you can't even leave your mothers property, because she is so scared you'll meet bad people… How are you supposed to know what you can bring the world if you can never try to become someone? You want to make a difference! So when you meet a young man standing at your mother's fence, you take your chance and tell him to take you home. Finally free from your mother's clutches you can finally discover the world and yourself.

Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #7 Athena: Completed
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here to fill all of your sims' lives with wisdom: Athena, goddess of Wisdom and Strategic Warfare!
You very much dislike the turbulent nature your family seems to have. Why use magic when you can use logic to solve it? Do you really have to use a spell for every minor inconvenience? You believe a strong and smart sim gets her power elsewhere. From a young age it was clear: you are a prodigy. You learn faster than your siblings and easily see how things are connected in the world. After you go to university, you move to the big city. A city full of crime and mysteries. and you are determined to make all those wrongs right. with your mind.
Little bit explanation with the sheets: - First sheet is for describing your current generation, with the challenges you need to do each life-stage. Also, because I love the myths, a bit of mythological background. May it inspire you :) - Second sheet is the preparation sheet for this generation, with important characters for your story. Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #4 Demeter: Complete
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Good Goddess is also taking attendance: Demeter!
You absolutely hate the hectic place that is Del Sol Valley. You long for more nature, more peace and quiet. So when you accidentally get pregnant as a teen and your mother threatens to disown you, you decide to take matters in your own hands and move to the countryside. you have nothing there, but one of the Nymphs knows a place for you to stay. You find out that you are quite good with plants. You get by by selling your crops and make a home for you and your little baby. It will be forever you two against the world. Nothing can or will come between you two.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I present to you: Aphrodite!
You’re pretty and you very well know it. Sims lie at your feet, so you decide to date and kiss as many sims as you want. Too bad no one can keep up with you, you never seem to find your match. This all changes when you see him. Ares, god of war. He is your equal in every way. You both fall madly in love with each other. No one can keep you two apart. Until your brother Crius forces you to marry rich and influential scientist Hephaestus. His ring feels like a prison. you find yourself falling back into old patterns and new beds. More often than not it’s Ares’. The magazines and public have a lot of opinions on your life, constantly bothering you and your family. but you don't care what they say. You deserve the world. All is fair in love and war.

Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #6 Hecate: Complete
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ready for a bit of magic? Please meet our next generation: Hecate!
You are, like your mother, neither good nor bad. You're not evil, but you know sometimes for good to happen, you need to do bad things. You are the perfect middle of both your sisters. You have dedicated yourself to protecting those who ask you to and need it. When you and your sisters find a secret passage to a magical world, you don't need to be asked twice to participate in it! As it turns out, you and your sisters have a talent for this strange power. You and your sister Macaria decide to use this for good. But, sometimes, you do find yourself drawn to the ancient spells, which are a bit dangerous. A bit of mischief isn't evil, right? You might even be able to use these dark powers in the future!
When you were younger, your mother used to call you little Kore (maiden). a name as forgettable as your mother seems to think you are. You love her, really you do, but you wish she wouldn’t be so strict. You need to be inside the house before dark. Hell, you can’t even leave your mothers property, because she is so scared you’ll meet bad people… How are you supposed to know what you can bring the world if you can never try to become someone? Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #3 Hera: Complete
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I present you, the Queen herself: Hera!
In your childhood you were constantly pestered by the press, with all the rumors surrounding your parents. And it is not nice, to be hated so much. They don't care you are legitimate, they just care that your mother is an adulteress. You decide there and then you will never be hated by the public again. You will be loved. They will know you for what you can do, and not for what your mother did. You will have the power to shut the press down. You will be famous and rich. When famous actor Zeus proposes you two get married, you accept. You will be the perfect picture for the press. Or so you thought. Turns out Zeus has the same habits your mother had, constantly sharing the bed with others. The press is shaming you once again, this time for being unable to keep your husband faithful. And you hate yourself too. You had promised yourself not to get attached like your dad did. But deep down you are , having grown to love him with the years. That hurt turns to cold anger over the years. He knows divorce is not an option for you, for you will be ruined.
Little bit explanation with the sheets: - First sheet is for describing your current generation, with the challenges you need to do each life-stage. Also, because I love the myths, a bit of mythological background. May it inspire you :) - Second sheet is the preparation sheet for this generation, with important characters for your story. Even if we wanted to do that, it’s quite hard, as every myths has its fair share of variations and some are just completely different stories.
I use the MCCC-mod to alter the length of life states. You can find the days-years ratio here: the boring stuff.

Greek Goddess Legacy Challenge: Generation #3: Hera
Tumblr media
Ready for her close-up: I present to you Hera, goddess of marriage and birth. And not only that, Hera has the privilege to call herself the Queen of the Heavens, Queen of the Gods!
I have yet to make the other sheets, so this is a little preview. When I finish them, I will post:
Hera's children World Preparation Worldfillers (if you want to have some myth-accurate lovers for Zeus :))
Just found out about this challenge? Don't worry! You can get started here, with generation 1.
And then, without further ado: This generations Goddess: Hera! Have fun!
