🍪👑 Cookie Run Kingdom - Dr Vanilla & Mr Shadow AU Cast 🍦🃏 aka; Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde Musical (Recast Meme) 🎭🧪
Inspired by a Cookie Run Kingdom Animatic from: @obernice
Note: This features characters from Cookie Run Kingdom as told in the formatting of the Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde Musical! The characters listed below will have their roles showcased, in the Dr Vanilla & Mr Shadow AU.
Original Meme Recast Template
🍦 Pure Vanilla Cookie as Dr Henry Jekyll 🍦 The titular character of this two-sided but amazingly thrilling musical! An understanding ruler of the Vanilla Kingdom, where the Light of Truth shall always prevail. But when he went too close to the cold hard truth in order to find White Lily, it was then where Pure Vanilla became one with a deceitful entity. He still has control over his body about 85% of the time. But the remaining 15% will have Shadow Milk take over. At that point, the 15% increases to a higher and more frequent chance of Shadow Milk being the one in control. Is he still Pure Vanilla? Or is he now Shadow Milk?
🃏 Shadow Milk Cookie as Mr Edward Hyde 🃏 The original owner of what's now known as the Light of Truth, with what remains pure from his corrupted thoughts on the Soul Jam. A deceiving trickster, creating an entire theatrical performance with his own ideas of fun. When Pure Vanilla went too close to where he was sealed away, Shadow Milk took advantage of it. He sometimes pops in and out of control of Pure Vanilla's mind to control his body, which increases more as time goes on. Is he still Pure Vanilla? Or is he now Shadow Milk?
⚔️ Dark Cacao Cookie as Lucy Harris ⚔️ Very stoic and headstrong, making sure he's capable in defending his own kingdom and its citizens. And also being there for his dear friends to protect them, especially Pure Vanilla who he has a crush on. On the night Pure Vanilla unwillingly became one with Shadow Milk, the latter of the two decided to target the warrior king first. Dark Cacao saw through his deceitful lies, and tries to help Pure Vanilla take control when he gets the chance. Unfortunately, Dark Cacao knows he needs to play this dangerous game. But he doesn't care if he crumbles from this, as long as his crush is safe from this alter-ego.
🏵️ White Lily Cookie as Emma Carew 🏵️ A sweet and caring cookie, who has a strong bond with Pure Vanilla. Even when many are indifferent towards White Lily for she used to be one with Dark Enchantress, he's still forgiving and understanding to her. White Lily is aware of the Origins of the Five Beasts, but still doesn't know the complete story. A reasonable amount at best, but not good enough to stop them. She's dedicated to helping all cookiekind out, especially the Faerie Cookies after Elder Faerie transferred his powers to her before he passed on. No matter what, White Lily will do her best to save Pure Vanilla from Shadow Milk's control. Just like when he did the same for her back then.
✒️ Clotted Cream Cookie as Mr John Utterson ✒️ The son of Light Cream and adoptive kid (more like eventual appointed consul) of Elder Custard. A cookie who allied himself with the Ancients in order to defeat Dark Enchantress Cookie, and learn more about Beast-Yeast. He doesn't know much about what Pure Vanilla is currently dealing with in terms of being one with Shadow Milk. Slowly but surely however, Clotted Cream noticed how much Pure Vanilla's been acting lately. For now though, he needs to focus on helping him and the other Ancients about this Beast-Yeast Situation.
🌙 Moonlight Cookie as Sir Danver Carew 🌙 A cookie who White Lily sees as some sort of mother figure, often going to her for guidance. Moonlight is one of the few cookies (other than Pure Vanilla) who's willing to open up and understand the given situation. Even so, White Lily wanted to tell Moonlight about the Vanilla-Shadow Ordeal. But Pure Vanilla himself doesn't want anymore cookies to get involved, afraid he might hurt them.
🦋 Elder Faerie Cookie as Simon Stride 🦋 White Lily's great friend, with a sort of friendly rivalry with Pure Vanilla in terms of winning over her affection. A calm, strong, and just ruler of the Faerie Kingdom. Trusting White Lily and those that's deemed close to her, all while he made sure that the seal on the Silver Tree is safe. So that the Five Beasts won't get free and cause havoc again. Unfortunately fate had other plans, as the Five Beasts broke free the moment the Silver Tree was broke and thus the seal opened. Elder Faerie sacrificed half of his life to revive White Lily, before giving his other half of his life to her before passing on into the afterlife.

Irrepressible Thoughts of Death Barbie
(A ramble about my anxiety, death, and my mental issues! Probably TMI, heavy TW)
Today I realized I think about death more than a mentally sound person should, which is to say that I think about it on the reg.
A good example of what I mean: when people don't text me back for long periods of time my brain jumps to "OMG are they dead??" which is unhelpful for all parties involved (and especially not helpful for me!) I also am always worrying about what if the last thing I said to someone was truly the final thing I get to say, like if they died suddenly.
Dying abruptly is also a fear of mine, so I always try and let people know how I feel about them so I don't die with too many regrets. And honestly? The average healthy adult is not ruminating on "but what if I DIE?!" or thinking "my time is limited!!"
Like, I do fear/think at some point in a moment of weakness some part of me that can't take it anymore is just gonna take over and do me in and that's fucken /terrifying/! Imagine feeling like there's something in you that you can't control, and it's one goal is to die gruesomely and/or painfully. And when doctors and stuff ask me "do you feel suicidal" I have to say "sometimes" and try and explain I have some sort of thing in my brain that has a proclivity for getting us dead but it's not a part of myself and the doctors usually just look at me like ":/" meanwhile I'm thinking "listen, /you're/ the ones who're supposed to know about this stuff, not me!"
I recently tried explaining this to Emma because we got talking about gun ownership and I said "I can't own a gun because I'd kill myself." Of course hearing that was kinda shocking so I had to explain that I have this like, primal urge to die and a thing in my brain that's always saying "kill urself" 24/7 and if I had something as easy as a gun I would absolutely give in to the impulse. Her response was "That sounds awful, you need better meds!" (I agree)
And the thing is I don't want to die! I have a pretty damn good life, I love my partner and my cats, all my friends and my crushes, and I'm in a far better place than I've ever been! But there's like a poison in my head, a voice always muttering that I should hurt or kill myself, and people don't really have that, yanno? Office Bob who works a 9-5 doesn't have to sit there and listen to a little voice in his head, doesn't take any meds, has good labwork and actually does not think about death every day, you feel? Probably the people who end up reading this will also go "erm no I don't have that either" to themselves because yeah, it's not normal!
And it's been this way basically my whole life and so far none of the meds we've tried treat it so I get to just kinda live with the fear I'll slip up and die one day! Oh, this is a pretty good analogy actually: it's more or less exactly a Jekyll/Hyde situation and I have no control whatsoever of it. Hopefully that makes some sense!

i finally finished ouat celebration
seasons/arcs RANKED (by personal enjoyment)
my only guideline for this show is “it’s fine to kill and hurt fictional people but illegal to bore or annoy me because i’m real” so with that said:
12. season three part one (neverland arc)
i hate this fucking storyline so much it’s excruciating. every time i have to look at peter pan, rumpelstiltskin’s father, i feel like the show is actively egging me on to hunt down the writer’s room and serial kill them
11. season four part two (author arc)
the cruella/ursula/maleficent alliance was a fun idea but the execution was not as entertaining as i hoped it would be, mainly because isaac was a little bitch
10. season six part two (black fairy arc)
i kind of liked the fucked up rumpel family drama in this season but it took such a long time to get anywhere and charming family drama is. so slow and boring
9. season two part two (greg/tamara... arc? was that an arc?)
i don’t really like or dislike this arc – i really like neal and gold, but the villains are kind of nothing so there’s not that much going for it. ultimately i remember it as the arc where the show first lost the plot.
8. season six part one (jekyll/hyde arc)
i just like sam witwer
7. season five part one (camelot/dark one!emma arc)
if you're going to make king arthur evil it is very valid to introduce scottish characters in the same season
Tumblr media
also i’m pretty sure it was dark one!emma that took jen morrison’s will to live because she really stopped acting at all from this point on and i can respect that.
6. season five part two (hades arc)
idk i just thought viewing this show through a constant sepia filter was kinda wacky and fun, and also i get a lot of entertainment value out of hook’s terrible choices and he made a lot of them here.
5. season three part two (wicked witch arc)
a lot of batshit stuff happens in this arc. we’ll get to that later but i think it’s good when the dark one is locked in a cage and out of his mind
4. season seven (soft reboot)
i did just finish this, so it’s very fresh in my mind, but the thing i liked about the show in the first place was the juxtaposition of the magical with the mundane and the people not knowing their true identities. henry and jacinda’s storyline lost me pretty quickly but regina, alice, and wish!hook were (somewhat surprising) standouts, and drizella and gothel made for entertaining villains. the actual finale i thought was not as fun as the drizella and gothel parts, and, god, the way they half-assed anything involving tiana, naveen, and dr. facilier was downright insulting but i finished it in a week so on the whole, a win
3. season four part one (snow queen arc)
fuck it i thought the stuff with anna and elsa was REALLY funny
2. season two part one (queen of hearts arc)
cora was one of the best villains to me. her backstory/death ep is still one of my favorites in the show
1. season one
it’s good and i stand by it.
FAVORITE and MOST BAFFLING choices that i will hold in my heart forever
i was put on this earth at the same time as ouat for a reason. and that reason is to inflict knowledge on you.
dwarves hatch out of eggs
mr gold hates nuns
red riding hood’s granny shoots a bullet out of the air with her crossbow
emma’s flying monkey fiance owns a furniture store because he’s actually the wizard of oz
the wicked witch of the west turned green literally out of envy
at one point zelena curses hook’s lips so that if emma kisses him, he takes her magic away. emma goes, “that is.........really stupid, next time try cursing someone i actually want to kiss” so zelena gets mad and drowns hook and emma has to give him mouth to mouth. this counts as a kiss
snow white casts a dark curse and has to crush charming's heart to do it, but he doesn’t die, because at the last second snow white says “okay regina, now take my heart out of my chest and split it in half and give one half to my husband's corpse”
bo peep was not only a villain but a warlord
anna frozen besting rumpelstiltskin almost by accident. anna vc: as long as i have this WAVY KNIFE,
also how one of the first things anna said to rumpel was “is there something wrong with your skin??”
you can guarantee you will not have evil kids if you put all the evil into a different kid (snow white and prince charming did this to emma by putting all her potential to be evil into maleficent’s baby egg)
in storybrooke ursula walks on two legs but also has two tentacles
cruella de vil is a sorceress who can control animals with her breath. not her voice. her breath
when hook is going on his first date with emma, he goes to mr gold, who has been keeping his severed hand in a jar in his shop. gold warns him that if he reattaches his hand, it will turn him evil. hook is like “you are messing with me!” and goes on his merry way. on his date, hook does a couple of angry things and then stares at his hand in horror while the music swells. he is convinced he is evil(TM). he goes back to gold begging him to reverse it. gold uses him to do some crime first. at the end of the episode gold reveals that he was, in fact, fucking with him the whole time.
in one of the curses, if you step outside the storybrooke town line you turn into a tree
in the underworld, everyone has a grave, and if you pour magic ale (from dunbroch) over someone's grave (in the underworld), you can find out where they are. in the underworld.
king arthur escapes from storybrooke jail because while snow white is in the underworld, merida puts sleepy the dwarf in charge of guarding him. arthur is then immediately killed at the beginning of the episode, goes to the underworld, and over the course of a day decides that rather than move on to a better place he would like to stay there and fix the system. this is treated as a redemption
there’s an episode whose focus character is, for the first and last time, the count of monte cristo
regina swordfights her evil doppelganger, and then to make peace she rips out both of their hearts and shares the “light” and “darkness” between them
charming enlists hook’s help to solve the mystery of his father’s murder and lay his ghost to rest. this is how hook realizes that he murdered his fiancee’s grandfather. instead of telling her about this, he is reliving the memory by watching in play out home-movie-style in a dreamcatcher when emma comes up behind him and, somehow, recognizes the face of her grandfather who died before she was born
lady tremaine’s tragic backstory is that when her daughters were young she was trapped in a tower by a witch, and when she escaped her husband had remarried and had a new stepdaughter. lady tremaine’s first name is rapunzel.
mother gothel is a tree nymph who caused the first great extinction of humankind and thereby created the only realm in the multiverse with no magic
remy ratatouille is a human man who works in regina’s bar
i asked kaitlin what the most baffling things i had told her about were and she just sent me these screenshots back

Been way too long since I last sent you an ask, so here's one! Do you have any Emma headcanons? What's you're opinion on Jekyll x Emma? Any headcanons for it as well?
-Emma and Henry both adore horses
-She can sing really well!
-She'd be practicing all month just for that one dance with Henry
-Had her father not offered her to dance with Henry she would have been too scared to ask and not done it
-Carew fully supports them and most of Emma's crushes. I just really want to think he's a good dad and a good man. In tgs at least
-Shes hmmm. 33. And I'm getting December birthday vibes, or any spring month
-Shes not good at conversation, especially in groups, she never knows when to talk and is scared of interrupting people, but by the time theres a space for her to talk the subject has changed or someone took the chance before she could
-Doesn't know how to play any instruments but I think it's cute to imagine Henry teaching her how to play the piano <3
-Loves the spring! All the flowers and butterflies and warm air! Jekyll loves the fall and together they start liking both seasons because they adore how their partner gushes about how much they love it
-Henry info dumps and she loves it, she listens everytime and always encourages him to keep talking
-She stims! She tries to avoid in public but whenever shes existed she absolutely ah, what's that specific stim called? When you shake or flap your hands? She does that!
-Jekyll is the first person shes dated that didn't tell her to stop or that it was annoying <3
-She enjoys science! She doesn't have a set favorite or one she practices, but she loves watching the lodgers work on their experiments
-After they've been dating for awhile, Mr. Carew started mentioning engagement and marriage. Emma got worried because Jekyll had started to get all scared and kinda avoiding her. And one day she finds Jekyll in his office and he just, completely breaks down, confessing everything about his soul experiment and who Hyde really is and hes crying and honestly terrified Emma will hate him or call bethlam but instead she just hugs them and they finally get to fully talk about everything
-After this, she starts seeing Hyde around alot more. And she loves seeing him being all dramatic and jumping around, having fun. She giggles alot around him. She can easily see how Hyde and Jekyll are the same and cant fathom why everyone thinks they're opposites
-Cuddles!!! Cuddles <3 so many cuddles. Jekyll is touch starved and Emma is very affectionate and together they just want to always hold each other
-Jekyll loves his wife, he loves his wife so much, he always excitedly calls Emma his wife and he just loves Emma so much
-Jekyll gives lots of kisses! All the time! Gentle kisses on the hand and a load of kisses on the face and hhhhgm kisses <3
And gosh I cant find the post for the life of me, but heres something I wrote for an ask I got awhile go about Jekyll x Emma (I think the asker was ban?)
"Emma is absolutely enamoured by Jekyll. Like at first she mostly had an 'oh he's pretty' crush but after seeing more of him it's become 'oh I love this idiot'. Jekyll climbing up her window to say hi because it's late and he didn't want to seem rude or awkward by asking to go inside at the door at this time at night (and proceeding to fall and knock the wind out of him. Emma asks if he's ok and he just gives a thumbs up, she giggles at that)"

Crush AU route where Jekyll does end up in everyone's pairing/polycule tho. Everyone asks who he'll choose, he panics about having to make a choice and points out that they're ALL amazing, when someone suggests, "Wait! Why don't we just.. share him?"
Jekyll trying to keep his massive polyfam hidden from the press. Almost gets caught smoochin' multiple beloveds. He is getting so much love and attention, it is So Good, and he's always getting double kisses even when with one person because Hyde is a big clingy mess who follows him everywhere. The only two still fighting are Hyde and mind!Lanyon because they just despise each other.
Bonus: Everyone finds out about the Jekyll and Hyde thing, but before he can beg them not to send him to Bedlam they all lose their shit like "TWO BOYFRIENDS??? TWO?? THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF OUR LIVES!!"
Oo, what if also seperation branch of this route? Now Hyde is able to physically hang off of Jekyll all the time like a koala. What if mind!Lanyon also somehow became physical during the split? Would he still be blue? How would Robert react to now competing with his copy for who gets to take Jekyll on a date tonight? The chaos and fluff of this AU, man.
ABsolutely fuck yes. No angst at all, Henry gets so many lovers and he gets so much love and attention and there is no more fighting. I also love the thought of Henry desperately trying to keep all of it from the press because... Well... Half of his partners are men, some are criminals, one is a goddamn living corpse, not to mention that the look of having more than one partner already is a bad one as is. Henry would be the most loved man and he just would be so happy for once in his life. He would feel so safe and protected because goddamn if not all of his partners are protective of him. One partner catches the fact that Henry has a rough day, suddenly he gets bombarded with treats and sweets and cuddles and all that shebang. Henry just brushing off rumours, like, a newspaper will say that they suspect that the Lodgers and the Society is just a whole disguise for Henry's "harem" or whatever they call it, Henry just goes "pfffttt, really? You think i'd date my own Lodgers? Ha! Get some better theories next time". Henry probably officially marrying Emma to keep the press off of him but him still being happy with his multiple lovers <3
I love the thought of everyone finding out about Hyde and Henry panicking, almost crying begging everyone to please just hear him out, he doesn't want to go to Bethlam please don't send him there-- but all his partners are just going so happily ape-shit over the fact that they get TWO boyfriends now!!! Two boyfriends!!! Especially if Hyde and Henry separate and so their partners can have two boyfriends to put their attention on.
The... The thought of Henry's mind!people separating with Hyde is so funny to me because suddenly both Lanyon, Jasper, and practically anyone else has to compete for his attention with his version of them, jfc, none would be pleased but they certainly would not stop them from being possessive of their Henry. Man... So much fluff. Henry would be the world's most loved man and I absolutely love that. Even better if his little polycule start dating each other too so it's just one giant ship with that expands like a tree <3

Chapter 234: Final Reckoning
Jekyll smirked, as he looked at the photo of a necklace with a ruby pendant in the book he had swiped from Rose Red's library some time ago. It was a copy of the long and true history of Aphrodite. He had taken it to see if he could glean any weaknesses in the lore of the Chalice and use it to defeat them. And now, after days of skimming through the tome, it looked as though he just might know exactly what he needed to turn the tables against them and defeat Charming once and for all.
~*~
Though it was small, the library of Cibola was magnificent in its own right. The books looked to be very old, but well kept, and rested on golden book shelves.
"We need to bring Rose and Belle here. These books look like some of the oldest in existence," Snow mentioned, as she looked at her eldest.
"Can you use a little magic to translate some of these titles?" Snow asked. Emma nodded and waved her hand, causing the lettering on the bindings of the books to change to English.
"Can you read any of this language?" Bobby asked curiously, but she shook her head.
"It's a dead language...maybe even older than Latin," Zia replied.
"Let me guess...Lunarian?" he asked and her eyes widened.
"You know about the Lunarians?" she asked.
"A little. The first truest loves were Serenity and Endymion. I guess she was Lunarian and in one of my visions, I met their daughter," he explained.
"That's amazing!" she exclaimed and he blushed.
"Yeah...so were the Lunarians really from the moon?" he asked. She giggled.
"No...that part isn't true. They just worshipped the Moon Goddess Selene. The most noble bloodline and first Queen of the Lunarians were named Serenity and thus why all first born daughters in the royal line were named such," Zia explained.
"I guess that makes more sense than living on the moon," he agreed.
"You sound sad about that," she mentioned. He smirked.
"Well, I read a lot of comics and it would be so cool if they really did live on the moon and there was some kind of moon base or something," he said. She giggled.
"I don't think I've read any comics," she mentioned.
"Oh you have to! They're great and Fandral can tell you about some of them that are actually real with all his adventures with Thor," Bobby gushed
"I have heard of the Norse God, Thor. But I'm guessing what I know is not what he's like at all," she mentioned.
"Yeah, the Thor that Fandral knows is a bit different from the one in Mythology," he said.
"Maybe you can tell me about it," she replied. He nodded.
"I've love to," he said.
"Someone is crushing hard," Emma muttered to her mother.
"I know...it's so cute..." Snow gushed, as she looked at her youngest and put a hand to her heart. Emma chuckled and shook her head, as she saw a book that said Maui.
"Hey...wasn't Maui a demi-God?" Emma asked.
"You found a book on Maui?" Zia asked. She nodded and pulled it out. When she did, both the pounamu stone and the book glowed.
"Whoa…I think we found it," David said, as Emma opened the book, while Zia peered over it.
"Lunarian again," she said, as she used her magic to translate it, before handing it to the dark haired girl, who skimmed it. After several minutes, she gasped and started reading.
"Listen to this," she said.
"And though he was fatally wounded by the Void, Maui gave explicit instructions to his younger brother Tao so that his coveted fish hook be protected from those who would exploit it, especially the Void," she read.
"The Void? Is it really talking about Runeard?" David asked.
"How could it be? Runeard wasn't born during Tao's lifetime," Snow replied.
"No...but his powers came from somewhere. He didn't have them when he was banished," Killian reminded them.
"He's right...he picked them up in the Netherworld somehow and we don't really know how or why," Bobby said.
"Before he died, Maui disguised his fish hook as Pounamu stone and told his younger brother that he must guard it from the Void. And so Tao sailed to the island of Mu, aboard his family's luxury vessel, the Solaris, and consulted with the High Priest of Cibola to help him create something to protect the stone. But the High Priest, Atanos told him that only the children of the sun could help him craft something to protect the fish hook of Maui," she read.
"Atanos sent him east to find his son, Esteban, insisting that he was one of these children. Esteban accepted Tao into his Kingdom once he learned he was sent by his father, Atanos. But Tao was much less trusting and it took him time to trust Esteban. Even then, Tao never revealed what the stone actually was. Only that he must conceal it from the world," she continued.
"Does it say what the stone does?" Bobby asked. She nodded.
"Once Esteban met Zia and they were declared the truest love in all the realms by Venus did Tao realize that it was the Chalice of Venus that could craft what he needed," she continued.
"But Tao's mistrust of Zia did not serve him well and he was not happy when he discovered that she knew what the fish hook could do. He accused her of being a witch at first and thought she wanted the fish hook for herself. When she revealed that she knew the fish hook could…" Zia said, as her eyes widened and trailed off.
"What? What does it do?" Emma asked impatiently. Zia swallowed thickly.
"When she revealed that she knew the fish hook could capture all the natural elements, including the sun and the moon, she convinced Tao that she knew what they needed to craft to protect the stone," she revealed.
"Capture the elements?" Emma asked.
"If that's true, it can control the weather, including the phases of the sun and moon. That could be devastating," Snow realized.
"Do you think Aphrodite knows?" David asked.
"I don't think so…" Zia said, as she continued.
"Tao was grateful for her help when she used the Chalice to create a golden jar. In her possession were two golden bars from Cibola, the last in her possession. She used the chalice to melt them down and pour them into a mold of Tao's choosing. The jar mold was one from his home and thus the fish hook was sealed inside so only the children of the sun could open it," she read.
"Tao begged Zia not to tell Esteban what the pounamu stone really was and what it could do. He feared the information could be revealed inadvertently to Esteban's advisors, whom he did not trust," she continued.
"Mendoza," David surmised.
"Most likely," she agreed.
"Zia was very reluctant to keep information from her husband, but agreed and told him only that the jar could never be opened, for the purpose of the stone inside could never be revealed, as it could fall into the wrong hands, particularly, the Void's," she finished, as they looked at each other and then at the stone hanging around Bobby's neck.
"Okay...so this thing probably should go back in the jar," he said, as he took it off.
"Yes…if Runeard sees this, he'll know what it is if he is the Void now and I want you no where near something like that," Snow said, as she took the stone.
"So we seal it back in the jar...but we need to put the jar somewhere that it can't be accessed," David agreed.
"In the tallest tower of Cibola," Nubia chimed in.
"Why there?" Snow asked.
"Yeah...a bunch of steps will hardly deter someone like Runeard," Emma warned. Nubia smiled thinly.
"No...but there are fail safes. There is a place for the jar built into the highest temple by Atanos himself. You'll know it when you see it," Nubia said, as they ventured through the gates and saw the tallest tower gleaming in the distance.
"Okay…we can just teleport ourselves up there," David said.
"I'm sorry, but the journey to the tallest tower must be traversed by foot and by the children of the sun," Nubia said.
"Truest loves," Snow corrected.
"Yeah, sounds like the children of the sun had too many secrets between them. Snow and I don't keep anything from each other," he added.
"Of course...it was their flaw. I do not believe they ever told the Goddess about the stone," Nubia said. David sighed.
"That is a lot of stairs," he said. She smirked.
"Is Prince Charming going soft on me," she teased.
"Do I look like I've gone soft," he teased back, as he towered over her.
"Oh no...and I know where every muscle is," she gushed, as her hands swept over his torso.
"Yeah...you guys have fun with Stairmeggedon," Emma quipped.
"Those that are of their bloodline can accompany them," Nubia chimed in.
"Yeah, hard pass. I'll wait here," Emma said.
"Chicken," David teased.
"Could that mean me? I'm only his half sister," Natalie mentioned.
"I'm sorry...only the children can accompany them, being that they are of both of them," Nubia answered.
"Damn…" she muttered and then looked at her brother.
"Tell me all about it?" she asked. He smiled.
"I'll take pictures for you," he promised.
"I'll go...but I guess Zia can't come?" Bobby asked.
"Actually, she can, because she is training to become the High Priestess of Cibola, she is permitted to enter the sacred temple," Nubia replied. Zia smiled.
"I wouldn't miss this for the world," she said, as she and Bobby followed his parents.
"Uh so...if she's going to be the High Priestess, does that mean she can't get married someday?" Emma asked curiously.
"Stars no...where would you get that idea?" Nubia asked.
"Just the whole Priest thing. In some other religions, it has some restrictions," Emma replied.
"Denying a person of love sounds like it would cause many problems," Nubia observed.
"Oh it does, which is why I asked and I'm glad this has no restriction of that kind," Emma said. Nubia smiled.
"You are good to look after your brother's feelings," she complimented.
"He's a great kid...and I hate it, but he's probably going to end up saving us all from Void," she mentioned. Killian put his arm around her.
"He'll be okay, love...there's no evil that can defeat this family. I've seen it try and fail," he assured her. She smiled and leaned her head against his shoulder, while they waited for them to return.

"Oh Dark One...your magical protections are no match for science," Jekyll said, as he used his demon powers to burn through the magical protections on the shop door. The cameras weren't picking up anything, since he was using his nano technology to disguise his presence. Therefore, no alarms went off in the shop. He proceeded to the safe behind the counter and then a device he had created to crack the combination. The door opened and he extracted the ruby necklace.
"The necklace of Harmonia...misfortune to any who wear it," he said, as he disappeared in a fiery display.

"Thanks for bringing this to me...I'll definitely get it added to the Master copy right away," Henry said, as he skimmed through the hidden history of Arendelle that they had recently uncovered.
"Thanks...it's an uncomfortable history. I'm still trying to accept that Arendelle has such a bloody past," Elsa said.
"That's not your fault. Many Kingdoms have committed atrocities in the past. It shouldn't be up to the ancestors of those Kingdoms to pay for those misdeeds," Leo replied.
"He's right...you're doing exactly what you should be. You're informing your people of their true history, which means that they can learn from the past mistakes of their people. Then history hopefully won't repeat," Henry agreed. Elsa smiled and nodded, as they noticed a copy of a tabloid from the Land Without Magic.
"You've got to be kidding. Grimm got someone to publish his dreck?" Leo asked.
"Well...it's a tabloid so I doubt too many are taking it seriously. He and Goldie are doing their best between this and their dumb podcast to make people fearful of magic," Henry said uncomfortably.
"The podcast is getting a lot of hits lately...too many," Eva agreed.
"Are you worried that it might be working?" Paul asked.
"To be honest...yes. They're sowing a narrative of fear and anxiety toward magic and magical people that makes what the Home Office did look like nothing," Henry replied.
"That's why I've been doing my best to keep new chapters of the book up and I've even talked to a few contacts I have at reputable publications in the journalism world to make sure the true story is out there. But you know how people love gossip," Henry replied.
"Yeah...Grimm is even live streaming Goldie's stupid show on the Internet so people in the Land Without Magic get all the happenings going on here in the United Realms, from her skewed point of view, of course," Eva complained.
"Is ENN live streaming any of their broadcasts? Now that we have honest journalists running that show...they should be doing the same," Elsa said.
"She has a point," Leo agreed, as Henry smiled.
"You know, that's a great idea. I'll head over there later and talk to Mr. Boots' replacement. He'll love the idea," Henry said.
"Who is running it now?" Eva asked curiously.
"August," Henry answered. Her eyes widened.
"August left the Storybrooke Mirror?" Leo asked. Henry shrugged.
"A bigger and better opportunity and they came to me and asked me to run it, which I don't have time for. So I recommended the next best journalist I know," he replied.
"That's great! I still wish we could do something to counter their podcast though," Eva said. Paul smiled.
"Maybe we can," he said.
"Like what?" she asked.
"You love podcasts...you listen to them all the time, no matter the subject, because it's an easy way to learn while you're working. So...why don't you do your own," Paul replied.
"You think I should do my own podcast?" Eva asked.
"Now that is an incredible idea," Henry replied.
"Yeah...you could counter their narrative and get all the guests. No one worthwhile would go on their two bit broadcast, but you could get all the good guests. All of us, Mom and Dad, and anyone in our family," Leo said.
"He's right and it will blow theirs out of the water," Henry agreed.
"I'm not even sure I know how to do a podcast though," Eva said.
"I do though and I know August can set us up with all the best equipment. We can go over there now if you want," Henry said.
"That sounds great...I would really love to get the real message out through the airwaves," she agreed. Paul kissed her cheek.
"You're going to be great," he said.
"Will you be my co-host?" she asked.
"Me?" he asked.
"Who better? You were born in the Land Without Magic and you can attest to what it's like having lived in both worlds," Eva said.
"She has a good point," Leo agreed. He smiled.
"Okay...two doctors doing a podcast I guess," he agreed, as they proceeded to head over to the Enchanted News Network studio.

Jekyll looked at the model on his laptop with satisfaction. He had created the computer model of his plan and with his demon magic, it would all become a reality in a matter of moments.
"Yes...this will be quite perfect," he said, as he made the final modification to the virtual model on his screen.
"You know, I do not take kindly to being summoned, doctor," Rodmilla said, as she arrived.
"I am the reason you're luxuriating in your new castle now. You are at my beck and call, Rodmilla. Make no mistake...I can end you with a flick of my wrist," he warned, as he produced a tiny flame in his palm. She stilled and swallowed her pride.
"What can I do for you, doctor?" she asked.
"You can create this in the ocean at these coordinates," he replied, showing her the model.
"What is all this?" she asked. He smirked.
"My very own nightmare and the place where Prince Charming will perish at my hand," he replied. She didn't question him and did as he asked. She hardly thought he would be successful. No one had managed to defeat Snow and Charming yet and they were more powerful than ever. Honestly, if he did, it would destroy Snow White and cause her eternal misery. If he didn't and Charming finally rid them of the doctor, she'd be free of his insanity and being under his thumb. It was a win-win situation for her.
"There…" she said, as it was complete.
"Good luck doctor...I think you'll need it," she surmised.
"I don't need your luck...my power will overcome him this time," he insisted, as he walked out of his lab. It was time.

David looked at his wife in amusement, as she groaned during their climb to the top of the tallest tower.
"Okay...you were right, these stairs are a nightmare," she whined, as she lagged slightly behind him with her hand in his.
"Yeah...you'd have to really want whatever is up here to make this climb," he agreed.
"Would you like me to carry you the rest of the way?" he asked.
"No...that would be very unfair to you," she replied.
"But I could," he said. She smirked.
"I know you could...I'm well acquainted with all your muscles," she replied coyly. He smirked back.
Behind them, Bobby closed his eyes and put his hand over his face in embarrassment, as Zia giggled.
"They are so embarrassing sometimes," he said.
"I think they're adorable," she replied.
"Yeah...just wait until you're eating dinner with them and they're feeding each other and start making out. It gets less adorable really fast," he said.
"We can hear you," Snow admonished.
"I know...it'd be nice if you and dad didn't make out during dessert," Bobby replied.
"Yeah...your chances of that aren't good," David said and he rolled his eyes.
"We just got the Emma eye roll," Snow snickered to him.
"Of course...she taught it to them all," he said, as they finally reached the top.
"Finally," Snow said.
"At least going down won't be so bad," David replied, as they went inside and found golden walls except the one in the center. The center wall was stone, with hieroglyphics on each square.
"They just look like symbols," Snow asked. Zia nodded.
"This is the Temple of the Sun...so they use the language of the Chalice. Lunarian," she replied.
"David…" Snow uttered, as she pointed to the square with the depiction of a split heart.
"Wow...and here's one of the chalice," he said.
"Look…" Bobby pointed at five squares in sequence below the split heart.
"Fire, lightning, wind, water, and earth," he said, pointing at the flame, lightning bolt, gust of wind, wave, and a leaf. They looked at each other in amazement.
"This is depicting the seven of us," David said.
"Your love is written in the stars," Zia replied.
"What's this one?" Bobby asked, as it showed a figure surrounded by many objects.
"The Collector…" Snow realized.
"Clayton's bloodline...it's always been a threat, even back to Serenity and Endymion," David said.
"What is this one?" Snow asked, as it depicted another figure shrouded in what seemed like darkness.
"The Void…" Zia said gravely.
"There's the hook," Bobby said, pointing out Maui's fish hook.
"How do we seal the jar away?" David asked.
"The Chalice…that's all I know," Zia replied. Snow and David willed it into its cup form between them and the wall immediately reacted by lighting up in a variety of colors. The squares slowly receded away from the center of the wall, as a compartment revealed itself.
"I guess that's a good place," David said, as they placed the jar inside the compartment. The squares glowed and returned to their place.
"All secure I guess?" she asked.
"Yeah...seemed too easy," he replied.
"I think we're just used to everything we have to do being a pain in the ass," Bobby quipped.
"Language," she chided, as David took pictures for Natalie, before they started back down the stairs.
"You know how we said that going down would be better?" Snow asked.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"It's not any better," she replied, making him chuckle.
"Hey...we got out of there without something or someone trying to kill us. That's a win for us," he reminded her.
"So true," she agreed.
"So...is it safe?" Emma asked. They nodded.
"These pics you just sent me are fascinating. It's practically your story in hieroglyphs," Natalie said, as she swiped through the photos.
"Yeah…I guess we shouldn't be too surprised by now. The texts that King Arthur was once studying back before we met him depicted the chalice and our split heart," David recalled.
"Do you remember whatever happened to those texts?" Natalie asked curiously.
"I assume they're still somewhere in Camelot. I'm sure Lancelot and Guinevere would be happy to let you check them out," Snow replied.
"I'd love to build a display out of these pics and anything they have for the museum," Natalie said. Snow and David smiled. She was really finding her niche as curator of the Atlantis museum.
"So...I guess we're done here," Emma said.
"Yeah...let's head back to Mu," Snow replied, as a portal suddenly opened and they could see Dr. Jekyll through the portal, on an island that seemed to be besieged by molten lava.
"What the hell…" David said.
"Greetings…" he said.
"Not even man enough to face me now? You have to do it through a portal?" David challenged. Jekyll smirked.
"Oh on the contrary...the lovely scenery behind me was created with just you in mind, Charming. It is where you will perish at my hand," he claimed.
"No...you leave my husband and my family alone!" Snow shouted.
"Alas, dear Snow...I could do just that if you would submit yourself to me," he offered.
"No way in hell psychopath…" Bobby said.
"You're not taking her, especially not into some fiery hellhole," David added. The doctor smirked again.
"Like I said, Charming...this fiery hellhole, as you put it, is for you," Jekyll said, as his arms became fiery chains that shot through the portal. They wrapped around him and pulled him through it. Snow cried out in alarm, as it closed and she looked around frantically.
"I'll get a bean," Emma said, as she prepared to transport herself to Anton's field, but Jekyll's voice cut her off.
"Do not bother, Savior...for there is no way you can get to this island via portal now," Jekyll said, as a hologram appeared before them in the sky.
"Charming!" Snow cried, as she saw her husband behind the doctor and on a piece of rock surrounded by a lake of lava.
"As you can see, he is in quite a state of peril and without the help of the Chalice, he will perish at my hand," Jekyll said.
"And the demise of the legendary Prince Charming is being broadcast to the entire United Realms and beyond! It is time for everyone to witness the fiery end to the truest love!" he added.
"Why isn't Dad calling the Chalice sword?" Emma asked. Snow willed the chalice into sight and saw that she had both halves. She tried to will it to her husband...but nothing was happening.
"I see that you have found that your husband is completely cut off from the power of your Chalice," Jekyll said.
"You Son of Bitch!" Snow cried, as she broke down in tears and Emma held her mother, hugging her tightly.
"How the hell is that possible?" Bobby asked, as Regina and Rumple appeared at their location.
"Because he stole the necklace of Harmonia from my shop and placed it around your father's neck upon his arrival in his demonic realm," Rumple answered, just as the twins appeared with Summer and JJ in tow.
"The necklace of Harmonia...how does that cut him off from the Chalice?" Leo asked.
"It's a long story...but in short, from my restored memories, it was a necklace created by Hera and meant for me," Aphrodite replied.
"It curses the wearer with misfortune. Hera meant it for me, but a man named Cadmus found it where Hera left it for me first. He presented it to his bride, Harmonia, and she was killed in a horrible accident on their wedding day. It's been an object avoided like the plague since," Aphrodite explained, as she and James appeared.
"Then why did you have it in your shop!?" Emma cried.
"Because I'm already cursed and immune to its charms. As the Dark One, I was entrusted to keep it away from humanity by Zeus himself. Centuries ago...but the damned psychopath found it. It's quite likely he has been browsing through Rose Red's books without her knowledge," Rumple said.
"We have to do something! We have to get the chalice to Dad somehow!" Summer cried.

David looked around and hissed from the burns on his arms, thanks to Jekyll's fiery whips. He saw the peculiar necklace around his neck and took in his surroundings. It was definitely an island, but the erupting volcano in the distance had turned it into a nightmare. Acrid smoke filled the air, as embers and ash rained down. Molten magma flowed around the remaining land like a river and the heat was so sweltering that it was hard to breathe.
"Welcome to your demise, Prince Charming," Jekyll said. David extended his hand and attempted to call on the Chalice sword, but found that nothing happened. Jekyll smirked.
"I'm afraid that necklace around your neck will cause you quite a bit of misfortune. Whatever light magic you are able to wield is thwarted by the cursed necklace of Harmonia," he announced. David tried to take it off, but found that he couldn't.
"So this is it...you're so afraid to face me on an even ground that you have to take away my weapon and give me a serious disadvantage?" he challenged.
"Fairness is for heroes. I am a villain, as you so eagerly point out time and again. So I decided to stack the deck in my favor, so to speak," Jekyll said, as an ordinary sword appeared in his hand.
"But I will give you a weapon...not that it will matter much," he added.
"Fine…I'll fight you at a disadvantage and still win," David said confidently. Jekyll chuckled, as his own fiery sword appeared in his hand.
"Oh, your hubris will see that you fail miserably," the doctor said, as he charged with a fierce battle cry and David moved to defend himself.
~*~
Snow screamed, as she saw David narrowly escape falling into the river of lava, as he dueled the psychotic doctor.
"I have to get to him…" Snow sniffed, as she tried to use the Chalice again, but became frustrated when it didn't work again.
"Why isn't it working!?" she screamed.
"It's the necklace...it won't let us portal there with magic," Aphrodite said regrettably. That thought struck Eva.
"But we could with science!" she realized. Snow looked at her daughter with a tearstained face.
"Honey...what do you mean?" she asked.
"That's how he's doing all of this. He got around Mr. Gold's magical protections in the shop with science. We have to use science to get to Daddy," Eva replied.
"She's right...he would have never got through my protections in the shop using magic. He found another way," Gold confirmed.
"Then how do we do it?" Snow asked.
"Hyde...I'll go and see what he and Mr. Flaversham can do," Emma said, as she hugged her mother quickly.
"I'll go with you," Bobby said, as he disappeared with her. Leo and Eva sandwiched Snow between them and held her, as she cried and they witnessed their father try to stay alive.
~*~
"And if you're just joining us...it seems that everyone's favorite Prince is under siege by none other than Dr. Jekyll himself. It would see that the good doctor has found a way to isolate him from his precious Snow White and their magical chalice," Goldie reported, as those at Grimm's tavern all seemed glued to the fight.
"You think he'll do it?" one patron asked.
"If he does...he'll be a legend," another answered.
"And if he does...we will capitalize on the grief of his family and wage attacks on their Kingdoms," Rodmilla said, as she entered with Runeard. A few of them looked uneasy by this plan, but they did not protest. The last protester had been swiftly dealt with and none of them wished for that fate.
~*~
"Hyde!" Emma cried, as they burst into his lab and saw they were watching the spectacle on one of the computer screens in the lab.
"I guess he's beaming the frequency to every screen," Bobby realized.
"I'm afraid so...the doctor has gone too far again," Hyde said.
"He's blocking us off with magic and made it so my Dad has no access to the Chalice," Emma replied.
"And you hope there is a scientific solution," he replied. They nodded.
"We have been working on something...a teleportation device, but it is in no way ready for human trials," Hyde said.
"Yes...at this point, it would likely kill a person in transit. We're still working on the human application," Hiram added and their hearts sank.
"But we have had success in teleporting objects," Hyde said, as he showed them what looked like a silver pad.
"You think you can teleport the chalice to our Dad?" Bobby asked.
"If I can triangulate his location within a few yards. That will take a few moments, but we're ready if you can take us closer," Hiram said, as they picked up their equipment. Emma smiled and nodded, as the four of them disappeared.
~*~
David breathed heavily, but coughed since the air was so filled with heat and ash that it was overwhelming.
"You are so fragile without the power of your chalice sword…" Jekyll goaded.
"Then stop dodging me and actually fight. I may not have my Chalice sword, but I am a master swordsman and even with all your powers...you're not. I think I'll fare better than you think," David challenged. Jekyll smirked.
"I will so enjoy slowly killing you while the lovely Snow watches," he said, as he looked up.
"Pay close attention, my dear Snow! I want you to see the life leave his eyes when I crush him!" he called. David charged him at that and their blades clashed in a fury of strikes, parries, and slashes.
"You're tiring, Charming...I can see it. But I do not tire anymore," Jekyll warned, as they exchanged blows.
"You are fragile...and can barely breathe here. But I am in my element," he continued to boast.
"Doesn't matter," David said, though his words sounded labored.
"True love always wins," he insisted, as the doctor elbowed him in the gut and sent him to the ground. He slid painfully across the ground on his back and could feel the burns already. The pain was excruciating, even as he tried to pull himself to his feet. His shirt was in tatters now, as embers had burned holes in it. But he pressed on and got to his feet, only to have to block Jekyll's blade again.
"Time to die, Charming...and it will be slow and agonizing," he promised. David swept his legs out from under him, but the demon shot a fire blast at him, forcing him to dodge. He rolled to the ground and stared up at the blackened sky. He coughed, as the ash filled his lungs and he tried to move, despite the multiple burns covering his body.
"Snow…" he croaked, as he could feel her presence and love enveloping him.
"Not sure I'm going to make it out of this one, my love…" he whispered, as the doctor's shadow loomed over him…
~*~
Snow cried out, as she saw her husband roll to the ground and she reached out toward his image.
"I have to get to him...this can't be happening!" she cried in anguish, just as Emma reappeared with Bobby, Hyde, and Mr. Flaversham.
"Can you help?" Eva asked.
"We have a solution, but it's not yet ready for human testing. However, we believe it can get the Chalice to him," Hyde replied.
"No…I have to go to him. Please…" Snow cried.
"Mom...this will work, but you getting ripped apart in a teleporter does not help Dad," Emma soothed, as she put her hands on her shoulders. Reluctantly, Snow nodded and watched them set up their equipment.
"Not to pressure you...but you need to hurry!" Leo called, as they watched the dire position their father was in.
"Can you get a fix on his location fairly quickly?" Emma asked.
"Got it...fortunately, the doctor is sending up smoke signals into the atmosphere so to speak," Hyde replied, as he nodded to Snow. She placed the Chalice on the flat device and stepped back, as her children huddled around her.
"Initiate," Hyde said, as Hiram operated the controls and the Chalice disappeared. A few seconds later, the image before them and all the screens where it was being broadcast were filled with a blinding white light, resulting in no one being able to see what was happening.
"Charming!" Snow cried.
~*~
"Do you think she'll feel it? When I drive my fiery sword through your half heart?" Jekyll asked, as he looked down on his nemesis with a smug smirk. He was going to savor and enjoy the Prince's demise immensely.
"She will...but my children will avenge me and protect her," David rasped, as he coughed again.
"So...you're finally admitting defeat?" Jekyll asked with glee.
"I may die at your hand...but our love won't. That will never die," he replied.
"Yet you will be able to do nothing from the afterlife to stop me from making her mine," Jekyll said, he saw a beam of light penetrate his shield around the island.
"Impossible," he uttered, as the light faded and he saw the Chalice resting about a hundred feet away.
"No…" he said. It should have been impossible and he saw Charming's hand twitch.
"Not this time…" he seethed, as he prepared to thrust the blade through his chest. The Prince could barely move, but managed to lift one leg enough to kick Jekyll off balance. The doctor stumbled briefly, but it was enough and the Chalice flew into his hand.
"Noooo!" Jekyll screamed in rage, as light exploded around David and blinded him, as well as blowing him back several feet.
He growled, as he rolled over and tossed his cracked glasses away, before pulling himself to his feet. But what he saw when the light started to fade gave him pause.
David stood tall, as the light faded in his familiar leather jerkin, pants, and boots; the very outfit he had fought many battles in before. His wounds were healed and the Chalice sword gleamed brightly in his hand. The necklace of Harmonia fell off in pieces and burned to ash.
Jekyll seethed and cursed, as he decided to find a way out of this botched plan to fight another day, but the Prince anticipated his next move. David tapped the tip of his sword on the ground, sending a lightwave of power throughout the entire island and the sky.
"What is that?" he asked, as he saw the shimmering shield around the island.
"You promised there was no escape for me from this island, so I'm promising the same for you," David replied.
"You think you can really end me?" Jekyll challenged. David smirked.
"Oh…I know I can," he replied, as he charged, almost catching the doctor off guard. His sword became alive with fire and he parried the Prince's blade. But he was shocked when his sword shattered into a million pieces upon contact with the Prince's. Jekyll screamed in rage and blasted him at point blank with fire. But David slapped the flames away with his blade in expert precision.
"Damn you!" Jekyll screeched, as he slashed at him with his fiery whips, but David evaded his fire and Jekyll made a run for it in an attempt to somehow escape the island. He cackled maniacally, as he ran toward the river of lava that had burst up between the land mass.
"Once I disappear into the fire...you'll never catch me! And then, I'll pop up again when you least expect! Just like Mephisto did!" Jekyll warned, as he saw the river within reach. He laughed, preparing for his escape, as he jumped toward it.
~*~
"Damn him…" David cursed, as he chased the psychotic doctor. If he slipped into the fire, he'd disappear and come back to haunt them again. He couldn't let that happen again. He knew of only one move that could stop him now. He stopped in his tracks and thrust his sword into the air, sending it sailing toward the monster.
~*~
The fire could be seen reflecting in Jekyll's eyes, as he was just a few feet from escape, but he lurched and looked down to find Charming's blade protruding from his chest. He landed on his feet, just at the edge and turned around, looking at him in shock. He saw the blackness slowly spider webbing from his wound and started to see the ash flaking from his body.
"No...this can't be! You can't defeat me!" Jekyll cried, as he lurched again and the blade returned to David's hand.
"I just did," the Prince stated.
"You're done...and you're never going to hurt my wife again, let alone haunt her," David assured him.
"The Chalice absorbed the Olympian crystal long ago. No Underworld, no afterlife, nothing...you just stop existing and we rest easy, knowing that not even your soul can cause harm to anyone ever again," he continued. Jekyll tried to charge at the Prince again, but the white fire from the Chalice sword consumed him in a brilliant flash. He screamed briefly, as he was destroyed and his cries were swiftly squelched, as was his existence.
Charming sighed in relief, as he used the Chalice sword to create a portal out of the hellish island and he returned to Cibola.
The moment his feet hit the sand, Snow was in his arms. He smiled, as she kissed his lips and then buried her face in his neck, as she wrapped her around around his neck. He smiled and held her, as she quietly sobbed in relief.
"It's okay...I'm okay and he's dead, Snow...for real this time," he said, as he pulled back and cupped her beautiful face in his hands.
"He's dead, my love...he's never coming back," he promised. She sniffed and cried happy tears, before their lips crashed together and her feet dangled off the ground, as he picked her up and spun her around while kissing her passionately. Their lips finally parted and their kids gathered around them with hugs as well.
~*~
"And...it appears that the battle is over. Dr. Jekyll, who quite possibly was Charming's greatest challenger ever, is dead. It would appear that no one can defeat the Charmings," Goldie stated gravely.
"Most will celebrate this, I'm sure...but those of us that have made mistakes and refuse to play by their set of rules, life will not improve at all," she added.
"Snow and Charming will continue their reign, unchallenged it seems. Their children will continue to make all others fail to measure up, and Henry Nolan Charming's narrative will continue to be the only acceptable version of the story, while other talented writers like those in the Grimm line will be ignored," she continued.
The patrons in Grimm's bar went back to their normal business and Elias tossed his rag down on the counter in frustration. Charming's heroics would once again be the highlight of any articles and it almost seemed pointless for them to even do a podcast.
He noticed Runeard leaving and Rodmilla followed. Curiously, he followed as well. After all, this mysterious former King was likely the only real challenger to the Charmings that they had now.
"What are you doing?" Rodmilla asked, as she followed him into Jekyll's lab. Runeard was silent, as he picked up the staff that Jekyll had recreated from Hiram Flaversham's blueprint of the original design.
"They will soon come...emboldened by the fact that there is no real challenge here, even without magic. Except me, of course," he said.
"I have magic...synthetic magic that works here where theirs might not," Rodmilla replied. He smirked.
"Oh my dear...I think we both know that whatever you can muster up can easily be quashed by Charming now...or his Asgardian doppelganger for that matter. He just killed a demon with powers derived from hell itself," he reminded her.
"But you can challenge him!" she insisted.
"Oh not yet...not without this staff filled with the star gems I cannot...it's too risky. He knows what I can do with a touch...he'll anticipate my every move. I am not a master swordsman. Jekyll's arrogance is partially why he's dead now. He had no business fighting a warrior of Charming's caliber, even with all his demonic power," Runeard said.
"So...what, you're just going to disappear and leave me to fend for myself?" Rodmilla questioned.
"I must go into hiding for now. I do not have a plan ready to take on all the elements at once. I must take them by surprise and now is not the time. Good luck to you," he said, as he faded away with the staff and the doctor's gloves.
"There must be something in all this junk that we can use!" she cried desperately.
"The only way we still win any of this is to get their mixed blood and write ourselves a new narrative," Grimm said.
"Which is impossible!" she shouted.
"Then you better find a place to lay low...because this will be the first place Charming and his brats come for," Grimm replied, as he left the lab and started back to his tavern.
"There you are…" Goldie said, as she joined him.
"You're a wanted woman...this place isn't going to stop them from coming for you now that Jekyll is gone," he warned.
"You too...that's why we need to escape," Goldie said.
"Where? Pleasure Island was the one place that gave them pause," Grimm replied.
"The Land Without Magic...we can escape there and still do our podcast, you can write…" she said. He sighed.
"I guess it's all we have. We better go now though or we'll never make it. As it is, it will take us all night to go around the checkpoints again," he replied.
"Without the tavern...we'll be broke in no time," he warned.
"We still have a pretty good following with the podcast and that brings in some money. We'll have to supplement in other ways. It's that or prison," she replied, as they started packing what they could.
"We'll manage, I guess...now to figure out where to go," he said.
"The nearest bus stop is Misty Falls. We'll figure it out on the way to Boston," she replied, as they headed to the Harbor to make their escape.

After celebrating at Granny's with a mountain of food and all their family and friends, they had come home with their kids and retired for the evening. Except with them, there was no sleeping yet and the celebration had continued, in a much more intimate manner.
She rested her head against his chest and relished his arm around her.
"You did it...you freed us from his insanity," she purred, as she looked up at him. He gently kissed her.
"I said I wouldn't rest until he could no longer haunt you...I'm just glad I was able to keep that promise," he replied.
"I never doubted you...but I came very close to losing you," she said, as her eyes misted.
"Shh...no, you could never lose me. He never had a chance...not when it's you and our children that I'm fighting for. Not with a true love as powerful as ours," he replied, as she kissed him passionately and then pressed her forehead against his once their lips parted. He gently wiped a tear away from her cheek and green eyes stared into blue.
"I feel so free with his shadow finally gone," she admitted. He smiled.
"We are free, my darling. There are still battles ahead, but he was the worst one and he's gone forever," he promised. Their lips met again in a searing kiss and their passion consumed them once more. Once again, they had faced certain doom head on and their true love had prevailed, as it always would.
In the next chapter, one year has passed...

Quite Where to Start
Tumblr media
Hey remember that time Killian straight up killed Dr. Jekyll in season six and no one talked about it ever? Surprise, I remember it. And have feelings. That I also remembered while listening to the OBC of Jekyll & Hyde. As you do. Seriously, come talk to me about this musical. Also, today, I realized I have in fact hit a pretty absurd follow milestone and while my fic-writing feelings have been a little all over the place recently, I ignored adult responsibilities for like an hour to slam on keys. Here’s the product of that slamming.
---
Every inch of her feels heavy. There's a weight to her steps that Emma was certain, after everything, curses and darkness and what felt like several different ends of the world would be over by now, but the world is a joke and the door handle in her hand is frustratingly cold.
She twists it anyway, ignoring the way the distinct lack of temperature slinks through her, settling under her skin and timing up with her pulse and--
The lights are off.
Emma blinks, once, twice, three times, glancing around the living room she's only sixty-two percent certain isn't actually expanding in front of her. Her tongue darts between her suddenly dry lips, a sharp inhale that stings her nose and, somehow, makes her shoulders droop a little more and she can't believe killing Regina may be her only option.
She feels a little sick to her stomach, bile and emotion mixing in the back of her throat and making her vision swim just a bit. The air around her doesn't help, any sense of even breathing disappearing as quickly as it takes her to realize she never actually closed the door behind her and--
She can hear the water running upstairs.
"Killian?"
Nothing. Just water and questionably heavy air and--
"Oh fuck," Emma breathes, realization slamming into every inch of her and threatening to make her knees buckle. She's an idiot. An idiot and an ass and--just the absolute worst. And after everything, curses and darkness and the possibility of something entirely brand-new...she should have realized.
She runs, taking the steps three at a time until something pops in the general vicinity of her hips and the water sounds louder when she skids to a stop in front of their room.
Their room.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Emma chants again, another inhale that doesn't do much to help the overall state of her lungs and the bathroom door is only partially shut. As if he also forgot. As if he absolutely did not care. "Babe," Emma starts. She hates the way her voice drops, low and cautious and there are capital letters involved now. There's no reason to be nervous. But there's still so much else and a life that does not allow for consistent breathing and she's got to buy some WD-40. The door creaks when she pushes against it. Maybe there's a spell for that.
She'll ask Regina.
After she refuses to kill her. Again. "Babe," Emma repeats, softer and, she hopes a little more encouraging and Killian is not actually in the shower.
He's sitting - on the edge of the tub, legs stretched out haphazardly and more than a few of the buckles on his arm undone. His hair falls across his forehead - probably because his head is bent, seemingly determined to stare a rather large hole into the minimal amount of space between his toes.
He's only gotten one of his boots off.
"Killian," Emma whispers. She takes a cautious step forward. He doesn't move. She's not even sure he's breathing, but then a muscle in his temple jumps and his eyelashes are so long. It's impossibly unfair and maybe a little wrong, to be attracted to that in a moment she should have been better prepared for, but--
"Don't," he cautions. His head still doesn't move, a snarl to all four letters that makes the hair on the back of Emma's neck rise up. "Don't. That's--my sword is on the kitchen table."
"Ok."
That gets him to snap his head up, blue eyes blazing and there's a very specific set of his lips that Emma is oddly familiar with. It's not quite a sneer, just a hint of disbelief and incredulity and something that's very close to fury.
He's furious.
And not entirely at her.
"Ok?"
"Ok," Emma echoes, a nod that's not nearly as fluid as she wishes it would be. Her left knee cracks when she crouches in front of him.
And that only gets Killian's eyes to widen, teeth obviously clenched despite the slight jut in his cheek that is absolutely the tip of his tongue. "Did you not hear what I just said?"
"No, I did. I just--"
"--A bloody sword on the kitchen table, Emma!"
"I'm not sure if that was meant to be literal or not."
He glares at her, wide eyes going narrow enough that it's nearly impossible to see the color there and they're treading back towards something she'd very much rather forget. Killian swallows, muscles in his throat overexerting at the effort, and it really is difficult to think straight when he swipes his tongue over the front of teeth he's suddenly baring.
"Take your pick," he hisses.
"C'mon, that's--"
"Did we not go over don't before, Swan? Do not."
And, really, she wants to. She wants to slink back into don't and dark and the slight cover of mystery - which makes her, quite possibly, the world's biggest hypocrite with all the things she isn't telling him, but right now, in this moment, after everything and--
"No."
"Excuse me?"
"We've really got to stop this repeating thing," Emma mutters, and his eyes are going to get stuck that way. "It's not moving the conversation forward at all." He flinches when she rests her hand on his knee, a quick reaction that does its best to shatter the majority of her heart, but Emma's very stubborn and a little determined and her fingers start moving. They brush over the fabric of his jeans, up towards the skin of his forearm and the bend of his elbow, tugging on leather and metal and she's almost impressed there is enough space between them for the brace to eventually land on the floor.
It's loud.
She figured it would be.
"It's not a backtrack," she says. Her voice is still way too quiet. She's going to blame the air.
"Stop it."
Emma makes a contrary noise in the back of her throat, another jerky shake of her head that leaves her lips ghosting over the end of his blunted arm. It can't be good for his eyes to keep doing all of this.
"Why do you think it is?"
"Emma."
"Why?" she says again, hardly pausing long enough in her ministrations to glance up at him.
"He's dead, aye? The doctor and that--"
"--Yeah. They're both dead. I mean--well, they were the same person so..."
"Doesn't do much to absolve me of my body count, does it?"
Emma kisses him. Well, kind of. But this feels like the only thing she can do and...stubborn. Still. Again. Perpetually. With capital letters. "I didn't--I don't really know what happened."
"That's because there isn't much to know," Killian reasons. "It wasn't--" He swallows again, a quick huff that makes his whole chest heave and his fingers curl around her shoulder, like he's trying to settle himself. "None of it really made a difference did it?"
"I don't--"
"--Nothing changed, Swan. Not really. The Dark One got his power back, he's still terrorizing Belle and she's--I let her get trapped--"
"--Oh that is not your fault."
Killian's lips twitch. "You can't keep interrupting, Swan, otherwise how will we advance the conversation?"
"Ass."
"Aye, I believe that's the crux of the problem, isn't it?"
"No, it's not. This isn't..." Emma has to take a deep breath, which does not seem like something befitting a Savior, but she's not all that confident in the title anymore anyway. She can't remember the last time Killian blinked. "You really don't think things changed?"
And for as heavy as everything felt, the question that squeaks its way past her lips sounds impossible small and light, as if one good gust of emotion will wipe it away.
That is...depressing.
Killian's gaze snaps up, meeting hers with an intensity that's equal parts overwhelming and, well, that's it. It's a little overwhelming. The way he looks at her and the way she feels about him and--
"A man is dead, Emma," Killian says, all resolve and succinct certainty. "And I killed him. I didn't think about it, drew my sword and lunged and that was that. It was just as easy as it always was."
She shakes her head, confusion rattling down her spine until Killian's expression turns almost amused. It's not altogether encouraging.
"You know I did consider something else before I ran him through? I thought about how much easier it would have been if I'd still had magic. That I could have reached into his chest and crushed his heart and it would have been so much more efficient, hardly any bloodshed and--"
Whatever else he's about to say never comes. Instead, what comes is far worse -- a shuddering exhale, and eyes screwed shut, as if blocking out the scene in front of him will make it disappear and Emma has to shift her weight to keep from falling over when Killian's head crashes to her collarbone.
She holds on. She mutters words. Sayings. Promises. Anything and everything she can think of. Presses them into the shell of his ear and the few inches of cheek she can reach, lets her fingers trail over the ridges of his spine until it's a metronome that practically times up with the hitch of his shoulders.
Her shirt is damp.
"I'd do it again," Killian whispers, a quiet admission Emma already knew. Because she's starting to wonder just what she'd do to protect her family and the people that she loves and there aren't many people she loves more than the man clinging to her in their master bathroom.
Theirs.
"And, that's...none of it changed. It felt--exactly the way it always did, a flick of my wrist and that one, very specific sound and...that's, fucking hell. There was always this--"
"Rush," Emma ventures, and it's definitely wrong to take any sense of victory in whatever his eyebrows do. "I wasn't very good for awhile too, you know."
"Swan, that's not..."
"Please, that's exactly the same. And whatever you're worried about retreating back into? I did that you, Killian." It's suddenly difficult to look at him, a heat to her that threatens to leave the ends of Emma's hair singed. "I'm so sorry," she adds, the words barely more than a whisper. "For ever...for all of that."
"It wasn't doing anything except heightening what was already there."
"That's not true."
Killian lets out a rueful laugh, a finger under her chin. "Before. When Liam was--I told him, I'd fight my enemies, but only if I could fight them fair. That didn't last very long. And now I'm wishing for magic. That's--everything that happened to us, Swan, everything we did, it was--"
"--Not because you were willing to defend people," Emma interrupts. "Because that's what this was."
"Generous."
"A fact. Will you listen to me?" He hums, soft and a little petulant and his whole face looks far younger than she can ever remembering seeing as soon as he leans back. They're going to flood the bathroom. "You know, before everything in Camelot happened when I was still...not quite Dark...I--used to wonder how the lines got so clear cut. That doing magic would suddenly turn me into something totally different and it never...well, it never made much sense. Because that can't be it. You can't be locked into one or the other. Good or bad. That's insane. That's not how the world works, certainly not this one."
"I'm not sure there are many people that would agree with you, love."
Her heart gives another little lurch at that, a return to endearments that she shouldn't horde anymore. "Yeah, well. I agree with me."
"Articulate."
"That's my calling card, for sure. I just--this does not erase everything you've done, Killian. Or will do. Whatever it is. Good or bad or just..."
"Leaving swords on the kitchen table?"
"You're making jokes to deflect."
He clicks his teeth, nosing at her cheek. "Aye, I am, absolutely. Is it working?"
"No."
"Pity."
"I'm not--this is not an advocation of murder, because--"
"--Something about law enforcement, aye?"
"Something like that," Emma mumbles, fingers drifting back towards his arm and the kiss to her temple is softer than she thinks she deserves. Maybe they're both still a bit of a mess. "I love you. That's really the crux of it."
He licks his lips. Still doesn't blink. Stares. Long and imploring and the way his mouth crashes against hers isn't much more than the near-palpable desperation to be close, but Emma figures that's enough for now and--"I love you," Killian breathes.
"We'll figure out how to break Rumple's curse on the Jolly soon, ok?"
"Swan, that's--"
"--Were you going to take a shower or no?"
Killian nods slowly, the first few hints of something that may not be magic, but might be more potent flickering at the edge of his gaze. "Aye, that was my plan."
"Ok. You, uh--"
"Yes."
"I didn't actually ask."
"You didn't have to. Come on."
It takes a moment to rid each other of clothes and three collective boots, but then they're standing under the water and in the same few inches of space and absolutely, positively nothing happens. There are no roaming hands or lips or anything except the slightly greedy need to breathe the same few particles of air.
Heavy or otherwise.

If you don't mind, could you tell more about your jekyll and hyde AU? =D
Oh abso-freakin-lutely
Okay so first! The respective characters:
Deceit as Jekyll/Hyde (as Jekyll he has a birthmark on half his face, as Hyde he starts getting black splotches on his body as he gets uuh meaner and crazier, kinda like syphilus if ya know what I mean)
Logan as John! He’s a very good friend of Dee’s, and one of the first to see him slip. Unfortunately he can’t do much to help him but offer his help
Patton as Lucy (his costume is based off of the broadway backwards performance of Bring On The Men and I beg u to go watch it because hOLY SHIT) (also he has a lot of angst in this, but then again every character does oof)
Idk who would be Emma, but probably either Roman or Virgil
And well I don’t really know how to fit in the others, but I’ll find some way some time or another
Now onto the story! Deceit is real sad bc his dad (who actually could be Remus now that I think about it) is mentally ill and just Not Having A Good Time, and Dee has this theory that people are not actually one person, but two, one good and one bad, and he wants to prove this true to save his father (and destroy the evil part of him)
Also can we stop and talk about this a second? Like this idea that we’re really two people makes actually a whole lot of sense because, and let me rant here a sec, if god created us (and perhaps, maybe, god did) then why would He let us do bad? Maybe it’s because we’re really two people instead of one! And since the bad part, the “mr. Hyde” that we each have, is considered an animal, a monster, a demon, or in any way less then human, it would make sense that god created humans in his image of good! Because the actual bad part is not human, and therefore can’t be a reflection of god (look this whole thing made sense in my head)
Dee also has a best friend, who takes the place of Emma, and because I just love that forbidden romance, they cannot actually marry! But are very much in love (well, Roman/Virgil is, but Dee doesn’t really realize, as he’s so focused on his work that he doesn’t pay attention to much else)
Anyway, Dee wants to prove his theory, so he goes on over to the governors and asks if he can do some experiments on humans (he’s a respected scientist at this point so, the governors know him)
The governors say no, obviously
And Dee is sad and angry again, so he goes to have a drink with Logan (who was at the trial with him against the governors) and they don’t realize it but uuh yeah it’s a strip club. Great. Just great.
And that’s how they meet Patton!! He sings Bring On The Men, because I love that song so much, and just is lil shit because he knows he looks amazing and well it’s his work
Later on, after the experiment that separates Hyde from Jekyll, (cause Dee’s last name is still Jekyll, so Dr. Dante Jekyll and Mr. Ethan Hyde because I’m just using my favorite names for Deceit) we find out that huh, Hyde has a crush on poor Patton
And poor he is! Cause during Alive Hyde fuckin nerfs him (but he gets away yay)
Anyway I don’t have time to write out the whole plot so!! you can go listen/watch the Jekyll & Hyde musical because this is largely based on that (there’s an amazing high school production of it that’s free and v v high quality and I think in some aspects is better than the broadway production) or u can read the book which is also really good!!! Although this is based more on the musical
Also go watch Bring On The Men on broadway backwards (if it doesn’t make u uncomfy) because it’s amazing and Josh Young’s costume oH MY GOD
I want to a have a word or two with the actor of jekyll in the hs production too because he is so so so good
Anyway this is enough of me going on about my latest obsession asgisgksgjs

what kind of man is this you've taken?
After posting my my gratuitous take on the murder of Sir Danvers in the TGS universe, I wasn't planning on writing another 2k words, but from Emma Carew's perspective. But here I am and here you are, so here it is!
WARNING: Simon Stride, a little bit more blood than we're used to and some manhandling
Cheers!
"It is such a pleasure to see you again, Sir Danvers,” he smiled with teeth straighter than his spine. He did have to bend down to address me with his words, but seek out your permission with his stare after all. “Miss Emma, would you do me the honor?”
Father, please! Please do not insist I dance with him! I could smile through it as I did through every etiquette lesson and I could tire of it as I tired my toes through every dance class. I’ve already done that at the last soiree. And the one before that. And every single one since my debut. He bends before in hopes that I would one day bend before him. You know I cannot deny you, but I can and will deny him.
“Mr. Stride-"
"Please, call me Simon."
"I have already promised my first dance to another.”
"Is that so?” he stood at his full height and searched his surroundings. “And just where is this most fortunate man?”
“Indeed,” you had pulled me closer to you then as if a predator was on the loose. “Who is it, Emma?”
What was I to answer, father? Should I have pleaded with you to play along? Should I have told you the truth? Oh, now I believe I should have. I should have told you I still had not yet thought up an excuse to turn down Simon Stride. I should have told you I heard this most fortunate man's name being fawned over behind fans before I said it aloud.
"Dr. Henry Jekyll, of course."
"Dr. Jekyll?" he wore off his smile before he discarded it completely.
"Dr. Jekyll," you called out as if to summon him.
And you must have, for he materialized before me the very next moment.
"I'd like you to meet my daughter, Emma. She was most eager to have the first dance with-"
"Father!"
"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Emma," he bent down as a gentleman should and as Mr. Stride always would. But it was my permission he was seeking out. "May I have this dance?"
Oh, father, how he blinded me! No black ink on white paper could hope to do him justice! He burned himself behind my eyes like the flash of a bellows camera. You know how I'd always get stars caught into my lashes after having my picture taken. Well, Dr. Henry Jekyll sprinkled a thousand of them over my head. I don't know how I even made it through the first dance without stepping on his toes. I only regained my footing by the third. I was blind, father.
Oh, how blind I was!
"They say he had the wolf eating out of his hands as if it were a lap dog." You were singing praises to his name when Dr. Jekyll returned me to you for the second or third time. The story of the doctor and the moster had been your favorite for the past fortnight.
"Mr. Kaylock is no lap dog, Sir Danvers, I assure you," A tray floated by and he plucked a couple of flutes, one for himself and the other he offered to me. "He is a cryptologist and the newest member of our Society."
"But is he not the wolf you tamed the other night?"
"Yes, he just so happens to be the same werewolf I recruited. But he's every bit a man as you and I. He will learn to tame himself, just as all young men do," his glass was raised as if he had just come to the tail end of a toast.
Then you laughed. Then he laughed. Then every gentleman followed your lead and laughed. And then you raised your glass. And, father, as you clinked it against his, I understood that I wasn't expected to understand. A woman wasn't expected to understand. These were matters of wolves and boys. Of monsters and men.
"Cheers," you downed your drink. "I do require your expert opinion, Doctor. We all do. What are we to make of a werewolf in your Society? In any society, really. Is he man or beast?"
"He's both, sir. As we all are."
"Henry, please-" Dr. Lanyon was stopped as soon as he started.
"Robert, please," he started and there was no one left to stop him. "Dr. Lanyon and I had our disagreements concerning my research on the dual nature of man. Yes, I did say dual, gentlemen. Man is not truly one, but truly two. Jasper Kaylock's struggle is one each of us should be able to sympathize with."
"What is it that you mean, Doctor?" He strode in just as Dr. Lanyon slipped away saying something about another fill of champagne. "Are we all in danger of ravaging our beloved London's streets?"
"Ever feared as if you were, Mr. Stride?" The doctor pulled himself up in a smile and that's when I saw Simon had his slouch and his entire posture going down with it. "The beast inside is not a literal one, I assure you. But we all have unreasonable thoughts and unsavory feelings that we must separate ourselves from."
Now, father, I know I'm not supposed to understand. But you must believe me when I say I did. Yes, even as a woman, I understood. There are ugly things inside of us, you know. Ugly things gentlemen such as yourself and Simon Stride would rather us cover up with rouge and cage inside a corset. But Dr. Henry Jekyll understood.
"And where has your research led you, Dr. Jekyll? Are there any means of separating man from beast? Or are they to forever coexist?"
He looked upon me then as if he were seeing me for the first time. Father, I must admit that I feared I had made a fool of myself. It was but a fleeting moment and as soon that it left us, another arrived. In this one, I was bolder than I knew myself to be. The fear was all his, as if I had made a fool out of him. I saw something flash in his stare. It was my turn to blind him and it was his turn to pose for a photograph he wasn't prepared for. He blinked as soon as something began to develop behind his eyes, but the moment was over before I could make out what it was.
Oh, how blind I was!
"Inconclusive," he said with stars still stuck in his eyes. "The results were inconclusive."
"Not to worry, Emma," you came to my rescue. You feared I was in some form of danger, but I feared the Doctor needed saving. "I'm sure that all these men, beasts and beastly men are being taken care of."
"Indeed, sir" Simon said as he was suppose to. He followed your lead. "Dr. Jekyll's work doesn't concern any one of us present. Itis all about those criminals and degenerates over in East End. Isn't that so, Doctor?"
He continued to stare off somewhere between yourself and Simon. I don't believe he dared to look down where I was for I was staring back at him.
"Dr. Jekyll?"
Dr. Jekyll didn't answer.
"Dr. Jekyll?"
And when he did answer, it was with all the awerness of a child being chided for sleeping in. "Forgive me gentlemen. Where were we?"
"We were right here, Doctor. Where were you?"
"I, w-well, you see-"
Where he had all the answers before, he had none. They weren't unreasonable questions such as mine, father. You had asked a perfectly reasonable question. Still, he choked on his answer. Not even Dr. Lanyon could get him to spit those words out.
"Henry, are you all right?"
No. No, I don't believe men who sweep you off your feet with a gentle one moment and crush glassware with the very same hand the next are all right.
"Henry!"
"E-excuse me, gentlemen. Miss Emma."
Dr. Henry Jekyll had left you stunned for the second time this evening. First, he spoke of "unscientific balderdash", as Dr. Lanyon had put it. Then, he fled from you like a man on the run, bumbling and bleeding.
"I'll see to his injury," his colleague composed himself for as long enough as it took to ask for a piece of cloth. After I handed him my handkerchief, he followed in his bloody trail. "Thank you, miss. And forgive me, sirs."
Father, I know I looked towards you with every shade of embarrassment coloring my cheeks. I know you cursed the hour he had my hand in his, every step and every twirl. I know you had to leave me in Mr. Stride's care as you hurried after them, but this is wasn't your fault. Oh, father, it's not your fault! I had to let you know, but he wouldn't let me!
"Where are you off to?"
"To check on Dr. Jekyll-"
"He'll live," you snatched my hand, the very same one you've been denied all night.
"Mr. Stride, please-"
"Simon," his grip grew tighter. "I told you to call me Simon, Emma."
"You asked me to call you Simon, Mr. Stride," I pulled my hand from the prison of his fingers. "And I already denied that request."
I can't be sure if he finally let me go, or I had simply escaped him, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was that Dr. Jekyll was safe. That you were safe, father.
The lobby was quiet but for the faint echoes of the festivities behind me and empty but for the single silhouette that emerged from behind the pillar in front of me.
He was no taller than I and appeared even smaller as he was cowering before the light. He looked as if he were ready to slither back into darkness, but then he saw me. I was about to fall back myself, but he caught me in place with his eyes. They flashed and I was looking down the berrel of a camera again. There was something there, something like recognition, something in his stare that I've never seen in a stranger before. And when he stood at his full height, he appeared younger than the look he offered, which was as weary as a man's who was witness to several decades more.
"Miss Emma," he spoke as if he knew me and when he did crouch back down it was in a bow over his walking stick that, I couldn't help but notice, had been splattered with red as of recent. "It would be an honor to escort you back, but I happen to be engaged with other matters at the moment," he smiled as if I knew him.
Oh, father, how blind I was! Blood! Of course it was blood! The red on his white shirt was blood! All over the floor! Blood!
"Emma?"
For the first time in forever, the sound of Simon Stride was a welcome one. Father, how I would have welcomed him then! Any gentleman would have been welcome! Anyone but that man and his perverted sense of politeness!
"Simon-" I lost my voice as soon as I found it. He muffled my cry with his hand - his bleeding, bandaged hand - and finally fell back into the shadows he spawned from. Only he had to take me with him this time.
"I don't know about you, but I've had enough of that sycophant's shit-eating smile for one night," he held me against me, my back to his chest, and while there was spite on his tongue, there was fear in his heart. It slammed against my spine. "I'd much appreciate it if you didn't alert him to our presence."
"Emma, are you there?"
I couldn't answer him. How could I? He had his hand over my mouth and I couldn't flee either for his other hand was on my hip where his arm wrapped around my waist. I had the hardest time breathing, and screaming was even harder. All I could inhale were the smell of blood that I hoped was his own on his fingers and the scent of roses on the cloth wrapped around them that I prayed wasn't my own.
"Emma, answer me!"
I couldn't answer him, but I could make him aware of my presence with somebody elses voice. For the first time since my last dance lesson, I stepped on a gentleman's foot. I stepped on his foot as unladylike as I could. I must have awakened that beast inside all men as I did so because he snarled. And when Mr. Stride's shadow threatened to cast itself around the corner, he freed me. He threw me into Simon's arms and fled while he was at it, so my freedom was shortlived.
"Emma," he caught me against his chest. "Emma, don't look," he hid my head into his elbow, but it was too late. I've already spotted you and the cane that caved your face in.
Oh, how blind I had been! Could you ever forgive me, father?

Today is the one year anniversary of Once Upon a Time’s series finale. As a six year watcher, I greatly reveled in the show’s magic, storytelling and characters. I love Emma’s journey, Regina’s romance with Robin and Rumpel’s life as the deliciously naughty Dark One and his romance with Belle. I even found a crush in Zelena. I hope my fellow Oncers also loved the show’s run.
However, like some others, I thought the show could’ve been more than what it was.
Here’s some of my thoughts on what I’d do to make the show better, but first let’s start with some things that could stay:
Rumple and Belle’s romance.
Emma and Hook’s romance.
Regina and Robin’s romance.
Red and Dorothy’s romance.
Henry being Emma and Neal’s son.
The Neverland/Oz Arc.
The Underworld Arc.
The trio of Aurora, Phillip and Mulan.
The Frozen Arc.
The Camelot Arc.
Henry and Violet’s romance.
Henry becoming Rumple’s apprentice.
Jacqueline and James’ journey up the Beanstalk and their raid of the Giants’ treasure.
Some of the realms untouched by the Curse like Dun Broch.
Jasmine’s story in Agrabah.
Ariel and Eric eventually leaving the Land without Magic and having adventures in Fairy Tale Land.
Mulan helping Phillip save Aurora.
Merida.
The Author subplot.
Hook’s animosity for Rumple.
Grumpy romance with a fairy.
Okay on to my ideas. Hope you don’t mind I have a lot:
One
As much as I liked the Blue Fairy as the go to fairy for help, I think they should’ve had Flora, Fauna and Merryweather instead. Think about it; in the “Sleeping Beauty” movie, they were pretty much the real heroines in the story while in Pinocchio the Blue fairy was only in two scenes. I even thought of Storybrooke names for them:
Flora: Sarah Felton
Fauna: Josephine Allen
Merryweather: Barbara Johnston
I even thought of occupations for them: Sarah would be a dressmaker, Josephine a baker and Barbara a cleaning lady. (These are references to the scene where they use magic in the cottage)
I also thought for them to somehow get their memories back before Emma broke the curse and for them to help Henry make Emma believe.
I also they should powers connected to nature like in the early story of the movie while it was in development. Flora has the power of plants and flowers, Fauna can talk to animals and Merryweather can use Atmokinesis (weather magic)
Let’s also have Grumpy have a romance with Merryweather.
Here’s who I thought should play them: Helena Bonham Carter as Flora, Tina Fey and Debi Mazar as Merryweather.
Two
Maleficent and Ursula should have been Regina’s allies in Season One. Maleficent being Regina’s deputy mayor and Diablo the crow being her partner and human while Ursula owning a beauty parlor and bringing the latest gossip to Regina. Flotsam and Jetsam being human form too and working in her business.
Three
Pinocchio/ August Booth should’ve also been part of the main cast. He also should’ve stayed by Emma side at least until their teens when she became a criminal. They also should’ve been shown more of his life in the Land without Magic without his father, Jiminy or the Blue Fairy to guide him.
Four
Let’s make David’s backstory more simple and make him and James the legitimate sons of King George with David being the nice one due being closer to his mother and James being more like his father. On that note, let’s toss in the tragedy of David’s mother getting killed by thieves when he was little in a raid, leading him to have a further distrust of Hook in Season 3.
Five
Let’s give the reason for David and Abigail’s marriage alliance be due to Robin Hood and the Merry Men raiding King George’s royal treasury and a failed attempt to steal the Giants’ treasure up the Beanstalk.
Six
Let’s start Snow White life as an outlaw begin with her helping Bluebeard’s wife get away from him.
Seven
Let’s change how Rumple become the Dark One by somehow having him kill Zoso to end the Ogre Wars and prove he wasn’t a coward.
Eight
Let’s make Red’s boyfriend Peter the wolf terrorizing the village all along and her having to kill Peter. Later, Peter’s pack learn of his death and want to take their revenge of Red and her Granny. Let’s also not make Red a werewolf.
Nine
Let’s make Maleficent the daughter of Chernabog and Vidia, the Black Fairy. Let’s also have Clarion, the Queen of the Fairies send Terrance to destroy their union, but Chernabog kills him. Let’s show Maleficent’s childhood and how she became the Mistress of all Evil too.
Ten
Let’s set Tiana’s story in the “original” Enchanted Forest and make Mama Odie her godmother. Let’s have Angela Bassett play her.
Let’s make Dr. Facilier’s dept be with Hades and the Underworld. When the gang to the Underworld, he should have a role in the story arc.
Let’s make Tiana in Storybrooke a worker at Sarah’s bakery.
Eleven
Let’s give Regina a better reason to hate Snow than what happened in the show. Let’s also make her the girl Queen Eva abused when she was younger a la what happened to Cora in “The Miller’s Daughter”. And give us a love triangle between Regina, Eva and Leopold.
Twelve
Let’s make Robin Hood at first what like he was in the Wish Realm (stealing so he could be rich) and somehow Snow and Charming change him for the better before or after the Curse was broken.
Thirteen
Let’s make Flynn Rider a former member of the Merry Men who betrays them, stealing some of their loot and running off to eventually meet Rapunzel.
Fourteen
As I’ve said let’s keep Jasmine’s story in Agrabah, but lets have her never leave Agrabah for the Land of Untold Stories and married Aladdin by the time the Curse is cast; in short let’s keep the Aladdin story from the movie in the show, genie included. Let’s also have the genie protect Agrabah from the curse. Let’s also maybe have Ali Baba put the Genie’s lamp in the Cave of Wonders. I see Aladdin’s genie as not the one who meets Leopold on the show.
Fifteen
Let’s keep the number of realms to a minimum: Fairy Tale Land (The Enchanted Forest, Arendelle, Dun Broch, Camelot, Agrabah)  Neverland, Oz, Wonderland, The Underworld ... Okay that may not be a minimum. Sorry. Anyway let’s lose, 1920s England, Victorian England, The Land of Untold Stories, New Enchanted Forest.. Too many realms in the original show, don’t you think?
Sixteen
Let’s fully tell characters stories and make them count to the overall plot and stick primarily to fairy tales and no classic literature works like Jekyll and Hyde and 2000 leagues under the Sea or movies like 101 Dalmatians.
Seventeen
Let’s have Rumple hear of how Geppetto can build a magic wardrobe and have him kidnap Geppetto and force him to make it like how Ratigan kidnapped Olivia’s father in “The Great Mouse Detective”.
Since I said that, here’s how I see Pinocchio’s story:
Pinocchio’s adventure begins when he’s sent on an errand. After escaping Stromboli, he discovers Geppetto’s been kidnapped. He and Jiminy sent sail to find him and on the way stumple upon Pleasure Island. After escaping there, he finally finds Geppetto and they escape, but Rumple sends Monstro after them. They survive and the Blue Fairy turns him into a real boy and for Geppetto and Pinocchio to seek asylum in Snow White’s kingdom. The End.
Eighteen
Let’s name the Blue Fairy Evangeline (guess why I named her that. Think of a firefly character you may know) and sadly have her killed by Rumple before or after the curse.
Nineteen
Let’s give Rumple this reason for asking for the first born babies of Cora and Cinderella: to use the Time Traveling Spell to make sure his son was never lost to him.
Twenty
Let’s make The Dragon Mushu from “Mulan” and the mentor of Mulan and give him a role in Storybrooke.
Twenty One
Let’s give Mulan and Phillip Storybrooke counterparts. Let’s make Mulan a self’defense teacher at a dojo and bisexual and in a relationship with Phillip.
Twenty Two
Let’s make Aurora the only “Sleeping Beauty” that Maleficent cursed and have her also curse Phillip as an Yaoguai for him to be saved by Belle and Mulan. In Storybrooke let’s have Maleficent keep cursed Aurora, still asleep, in the basement of her house.
Twenty Three
Let’s show more characters from Disney and fairy tales like Mad Madame Mim and Goldilocks.
Let’s make Madame Mim a rival to Maleficent and Goldilocks a stooge for Rumple.
Twenty Four
Let’s make cursed Eric the boyfriend of Ursula and have cursed Ariel mute with Ursula keeping her voice somewhere at her home or beauty parlor.
Twenty Four
Let’s have more commotion in Storybrooke after the curse is broken: the Giant trying kill David, Gaston rising a mob to kill Rumple, etc.
Twenty Five
Let’s have Archie Granny, Ashley, Ariel, Red, The Seven Dwarves in the supporting cast with the Mad Hatter and Flynn Rider and Rapunzel
Twenty Six
Let’s see more of the Home Office (Greg and Tamara’s group).
Twenty Seven
Let’s include more fairy tales like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Emperor’s New Clothes and Thumbelina.
Twenty Eight
Let’s make Mother Goose the author of Henry’s book.
Okay’s that’s all I’ve got.
Thank you to any one who stayed so long to read my thoughts. What do you think? Let me know in the notes section at the bottom of this post.
Thank you for your time and have a good day.

jekyll and hyde
anon i owe u my life
• my favourite character : Gabriel John Utterson is the best, but also Henry Jekyll (i love my dumbass scientist man)
• a song that reminds me of my favourite character : I literally cannot think of one for my boy utterson but nightmare by set it off fits jekyll so well
• a character that deserved better : Lisa/Emma Carew deserved so much more than what she went through
• an unpopular opinion about one of the characters : Simon Stride really had no purpose in the musical except to be annoying
• the character that has the best development : I really wanna say Utterson
• my least favourite character : Simon “bitchman” Stride
• the character that I relate to the most : Henry Jekyll bc I am also a dumbass
• the character (if any) I have an inexplicable crush on : nah
• my favourite version of my favourite character (which production? who played them?) : Anthony Warlow is my favorite Jekyll. Not sure about Utterson though
• a random headcanon about one of the characters : Hyde really likes candy

COMIC TEA PARTY- THURSDAY BOOK CLUB START!
Good evening, everyone~! This week’s Thursday Book Club is officially beginning! Today we are discussing MK’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde by Marika Kapogeorgakis (or MK_Wizard)~! (http://mksjekyllandhyde.thecomicseries.com/)
Remember that Thursday discussions are completely freeform! However, every 30 minutes I will drop in OPTIONAL discussion questions in case you’d like a bit of a prompt. If you miss out on one of these prompts, you can find them pinned for the chat’s duration. Additionally, remember that while constructive criticism is allowed, our focus is fun and respectfully appreciating the comic. All that said, let’s begin!
QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?
Archangel
I'd have to say the first real heart-to-heart that Hyde had with Lucy.
MK_Wizard
For me (the writer), my favourite scene was when Jekyll finally stood up for his niece Emily.
khkddn
that was one of my favorites too
MK_Wizard
PS, thanks to everyone who came. You all rock!
khkddn
it was so sad when he didn't stand up for her at first
MK_Wizard
@lomcia (princess_lom) Please don't do that.
lomcia (princess_lom)
so you want me to discrabe which one i like?
MK_Wizard
Yes please.
RebelVampire
for the record images, whether emotes or w/e, dont get archived anyway. so text and links are always better
lomcia (princess_lom)
So. I like when he said that he won't have glasses on his face. World NEVER ihere is making me laugh
MK_Wizard
Yes, but... I don't feel comfortable when people take "snaps" of my pictures and show them elsewhere. It's something I was taught not to do to others.
If you must share, please share through a link.
lomcia (princess_lom)
Act 2 page 21 when they look into a mirror xD he look so happy in first panel and then when he realised that its not him xD i love it
MK_Wizard
That was fun for me to do that part.
lomcia (princess_lom)
Act 3 page 7! When he sees our lovely Lucy
that first panel!
Archangel
I must admit to having a bit of a crush on Lucy myself.
lomcia (princess_lom)
It was perfect
MK_Wizard
I have to admit that Lucy is one of the characters I proudest of. I worked very hard on her to not only make her progressive, but also deep. I wanted to give her a reason for being as she is.
Archangel
More historically plausible in our world than you may realize, too
lomcia (princess_lom)
I prefer as a female Hyde
Archangel
lol
Actually, have we seen any lady trolls?
Can't recall
MK_Wizard
Not yet.
lomcia (princess_lom)
not yet so there will be xD
MK_Wizard
Maybe, maybe not.
lomcia (princess_lom)
I hope Albert Ode will find nice woman
RebelVampire
for me, my favorite scene is probably the one where jekyll is in the mirror having given hyde full control and resigning himself to be gone forever. and then hyde comes back and tells him nah dude well work this out. i really just loved the subtle build-up looks where hyde is looking at things like the letter jekyll was leaving and such. it was also very touching and really showed hyde's heart through all the huffing and puffing
lomcia (princess_lom)
I like him i hope he never change
Rebel that was so sad scene , so emotional!
I really enjoy as I said Albert Ode, I hope to see him more offten, hes charming
Archangel
I think somebody has her own crush.
lomcia (princess_lom)
yeah, on all trolls Albert and Hyde
MK_Wizard
I felt is was high time the world got a version of Hyde who was good and still "Hyde" enough. In every adaptation I've seen, Hyde is always bad. And the very concept Robert Louis Stevenson had on good and evil was deep at the time, but now, we know that it's not true. What I did was bold and maybe "wrong" to some people, but it's the truth.
Archangel
I like how both Doc and Hyde have a plausible and sensible mix of good and bad personal qualities. Their interplay is more akin to 'The Odd Couple" than the usual metaphors of id vs superego or drug addiction that I see in other adaptations of the story.
MK_Wizard
Ha! Well, I like to think that by troll standards, Hyde doe faced.
I did that purpose too. If we did what was expected and made Jekyll completely submit to Hyde, that would be expected and dull.
No offence to webcomic writers who take that route.
Archangel
Well, tropes can either be used to a good purpose, subverted to a good purpose, or just blindly followed.
khkddn
Robert Louis Stevenson's take wasn't true?
MK_Wizard
If anything, I can tell you all this: between the two of them, Hyde is more dependent on Jekyll than Jekyll is on Hyde.
lomcia (princess_lom)
MK I really enjoy your story, and I would love to chat more but my eyes don't listen to me :< I wish you all the best, meaby when I'll wake up I will answer for questions which people left as a feedback for you
MK_Wizard
It was true for the psychological view of human nature at the time. So he was just as right as everyone else. But now, we have come a long way with psychology.
So yes and no @khkddn
Thanks @lomcia (princess_lom)
Archangel
It's been a long time since I read the original, but I seem to recall interpreting Jeckyl as the superego and Hyde as the id
Which could be considered good and evil, respectively, in a Victorian mind? Maybe? Not really my period of history, so I don't feel comfortable being definite.
khkddn
I interpreted it as subverting what people of the time thought the "professional gentlemanly man" was supposed to be
Archangel
Hmm. I see that.
MK_Wizard
It could be interpreted many ways. That's the beauty of the original tale.
khkddn
the victorian professional gentleman was supposed to be all good and proper, but here we have this guy turning into an evil man at night
but that's pretty far removed from mk's version
MK_Wizard
Jekyll and Hyde had a lot of complex themes when it came to duality don't forget such as having dark secrets one would be very ashamed of for the Victorian age especially.
khkddn
it's a happier story for one thing. i like how your writing isn't mean-spirited mk.
like there are mean people who do terrible things, but it's never framed as a funny thing or as just something that happens in life that we can't change
RebelVampire
yes i agree, i like this is a more upbeat version. not to say sad things dont happen, but i dont get the impression that its trying to be dark and edgy just to be dark and edgy. sad things happen right when they should
MK_Wizard
I'm not into meanness. I find at one point in the media, being mean got passed off as cool. I don't like that.
mathtans
Little one is asleep in crib (again). ^^ Happening place tonight! I got as far as end of Act 5.
RebelVampire
hi math~!
MK_Wizard
Hello!
mathtans
Fave bit of what I've read was probably at the ball, when we get the extra whammy of who Emma was with. I hadn't expected that. Then when Jekyll is trying to shrug it off, Emily interjects, that was awesome. I really like Emily.
MK_Wizard
Nice to see an Emily fan. I feared people overlooked her.
Archangel
She's a keeper, for sure
I had actually forgotten about her since we haven't seen her in a while. If it's any consolation, I do that to real people too.
RebelVampire
oh really? i 100% expected emma to be with him cause the world was really intent on kicking jekyll down. what i did enjoy was her trying to put all the blame on jekyll tho. cause that is something real ppl do when they get caught as such.
mathtans
Emily is the kick in the pants that Jekyll needs sometimes. I also like Lucy for similar reasons, actually (standing up for herself, whereas with Emily it's for her uncle).
MK_Wizard
@RebelVampire Definitely. I see it happen all to often with cheaters.
mathtans
Rebel: I guess I hadn't anticipated that plot point to still be dangling. Really felt bad for Jekyll at the start on account of kicking him when he was down though, like ouch. Also, agree, it was true to form.
Archangel
The hardest thing to blame is one's self, after all
RebelVampire
i appreciated that emily didnt forgive jekyll for the tennis thing and for not standing up for her. cause that was a point where i was glad she was gonna stop being an enabler of jekyll's flaws in a more slap in the face wake up call kind of way
mathtans
Like, talking could still be a thing. I know that sometimes people avoid, but when you're proposed to, I think that's the time to talk.
MK_Wizard
In Emily's defence, what Jekyll did was cowardly and hurtful.
Archangel
Def
mathtans
Rebel: Yeah, I'm kind of in the middle of that now, but that hurt. Since she was always standing up for him.
MK_Wizard
And don't forget. Emily's a teenager. She will have teen moments.
Archangel
He did correct his mistake and learn from it. Credit where it's due.
mathtans
Oooh, spoilers. (j/k)
Archangel
Oh right, sorry
hehe
mathtans
Heh, it's cool, talk about all the stuff. I do this every week, and never manage to clear the archive half the time.
RebelVampire
QUESTION 2. Two major themes of the comic are what it means to be a better person in the face of personal flaws and how one might learn to be better. Insofar, what has been your favorite moment of growth for any of the characters showcased in the comic? What about this moment struck you as particularly strong? In the larger picture, do you think Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde really will continue to help each other to grow? Further, in what ways do you think the two characters can grow further as people? Alternatively, might the two reach a limit where they are no longer able to help each other in this manner? What flaws might both still continue to deal with long term? Overall, how do you think these changes will affect how both characters deal with life, and what can we personally learn from it as readers?
MK_Wizard
I'm afraid there's no way I can answer this without giving things away
Archangel
Good God, where to start. Give me a minute.
mathtans
It's kind of interesting, because Hyde never even had a memory before the transformation. So in some sense, he's a blank slate, and thus everything is growth.
In the beginning, Hyde was doing it for himself, but he inadvertantly helped people. Some part of him must have liked that, because now he does it to help and fight against the system.
Archangel
Okay, so obviously each of our protagonists has a massive, salient character flaw that comes out fairly early on. Jeckyl is too afraid of confrontation, and would rather get shafted than make a scene. Meanwhile Hyde, as @mathtans noted, is very self-centered--in rather a childish way, which makes sense in the context that Mat noted.
Each is well-placed to advise the other and point out that he's being a tool and why.
And -- very importantly -- they can't ignore each other
While each man is far from perfect, we're already seeing them improve in the face of the other's prodding, and finding themselves happier for it
mathtans
They have much to "reflect" on.
Archangel
/facedesk
Bravo, sir
Now I have to wipe soda off my monitor
MK_Wizard
I don't deny that there are tons of metaphors and symbolism in my story.
khkddn
there were earlier times when jekyll became more of a courageous person but i liked in act 8 when lanyon showed up at his door pretending to be friendly and jekyll is not having ANY of it
RebelVampire
be careful with that soda cause math is here to be the pun master
Archangel
Noted
Anyway, to @khkddn 's point, I wonder if it's because it was just the two of them? Maybe J's problem is more social anxiety? Interesting thought.
RebelVampire
yeah seeing jekyll just being like nope was a really satisfying in that moment. like seeing your little boy suddenly grow up.
MK_Wizard
It's a lot of things and it's complex which will be explained more and more as the story goes on.
RebelVampire
my favorite moment of growth is actually when hyde apologizes to lucy. because apologies are legit one of the hardest things to do i think for ppl. because thats a lot of stabbing for the personal ego, and the more prideful, the harder it is. so heres hyde, probably one of the most prideful ppl in the comic, admitting that he said some messed up shit and screwed up. that was a beautiful moment cause taking that many stabs to his ego was a showcase of how far hed come that hed go through such a grand gesture and damage his pride.
mathtans
Hyde also really has no filter when he's talking, while Jekyll has like, massive overthinking of everything before he speaks. It's a live-in-the-moment attitude versus thinking about the future. So if there is a "limit" where they can't help each other, I imagine Jekyll would see it coming.
MK_Wizard
They are opposites @mathtans
mathtans
True. I guess I'm saying that's conveyed well.
Archangel
@RebelVampire it also shows just how deeply Hyde cares for Lucy, that he's willing to basically abase himself like that.
khkddn
i agree w @RebelVampire about that scene, it shows that even if hyde is an opposite to jekyll personality wise, he isn't morally opposite and can be a good person who admits mistakes
mathtans
Speaking of opposites, here's a fun thing I realized. Jekyll loses his job, and his girl, and we feel badly for him. That thug guy Tom ALSO loses his "job" and his "girl" (if shaking down stores can be a job), but because he's on the wrong side of the law (and a jerk), we don't feel badly for him.
Archangel
Well, neither of their flaws are really things that need to be completely removed. They just need to be moderated. Hyde needs to learn a bit of impulse control, and Jeckyl needs to learn to loosen up a bit.
mathtans
Yeah, "Tom" might be the moral opposite.
Archangel
But neither of their attitudes towards life are bad per se, so long as they're not taken to extremes... as they have been doing
Huh, interesting
Or perhaps "there but for the grace of God go I" type of thing?
MK_Wizard
@mathtans Tom is a bad person. Do you all remember how he hit Lucy? Imagine how much worse it would have been if Hyde wasn't there.
RebelVampire
yeah im really interested to see if jekyll's biggest challenge in growing is moderation. cause i didnt entirely disagree with him in certain contexts. like at the party, i was kind of on his side that sometimes just letting things go is better and that theres a time and place for certain...coversations as it were.
Archangel
I'm amazed Lucy doesn't carry a knife or something. Most prostitutes in cities carry something for self-defense (if they're smart), and the habit would likely carry over into working at a bar. Plus Victorian ladies' clothes are REALLY good for concealing weapons. You have to see it to believe it
mathtans
Yeah, jerk as I indicated. Just, similar stuff happened to him. Just thought it was interesting. He's more evil than Hyde is, for sure.
Archangel
Oh absolutely
khkddn
tom doesnt have a cool top hat like hyde and that's why i'll never root for him even if he weren't a bad person(edited)
MK_Wizard
@Archangel Lucy does own a knife, but she knows Tom would have overpowered her.
Archangel
If she'd given him a chance. But I see your point.
The hardest part of hurting or killing someone is actually deciding to do so.
Damaging somebody is terrifyingly easy... if you can bring yourself to do it.
Anyway. off topic.
MK_Wizard
There's a reason she has scars. Like Lucy said, her getting slapped wasn't the worst assault a man had ever done on her. She is brave and tough, but she's not super strong. Lots of men can overpower her and have, but she's not prostitute. She's a waitress, but she is poor so that still makes her an easy target.
Archangel
She started out as a sex worker, though, right? Or am I misremembering.
mathtans
Again, to be clear, I don't think anyone should root for Tom. Just, he had similar stuff happen and approached things in a way that neither Jekyll nor Hyde would. (Very wrongly.)
khkddn
lucy would also need an exit strategy if she used the knife on tom. she would probably have to run away and lay low, which could be more dangerous than staying with him.
mathtans
Lucy is kickass. I liked her remark of an apology shouldn't have a "but".
MK_Wizard
She was a showgirl and eventually had to sort of become a prostitute, but she isn't one anymore.
Archangel
Very true, hadn't thought that through
Seebee
is here to show support
Woo, go MK
Archangel
lol
MK_Wizard
Hey Seebee!
Seebee
Yoooo~
MK_Wizard
Glad you could join us.
You rock!
Seebee
GASP, I'MMA ROCK?!
looks at self
no wonder I got craters on my skiiiin
Archangel
Hope you're a pet rock. Then you get a nice box with straw and everything
MK_Wizard
Just because Lucy is no muscle woman doesn't mean she's a pushover. And now that she doesn't have to submit to people to make a living, she sure as heck never does.
RebelVampire
yeah i think that was a great line, @mathtans cause its really such a simplistic but smart way of weeding a good apology from a bad apology
MK_Wizard
Her having her body belong to herself again is something that is very precious to her.
Archangel
Understandably
Not many people could have gone through as much bad as Lucy has and come out walking erect, as the saying goes. I think that's why admire her so much. I don't think I could ever be that strong.
mathtans
(I'm continuing my read in the background, btw. The April Fools strip with the green hair is a riot. Speaking of bodies belonging to other people.)
khkddn
yeah lucy is one of my favorite characters, she's cool
MK_Wizard
She had to be. No one else was there for her. Back in the day, being of mixed ethnicity was a taboo.
That was the reason she had it rough. It's not right, but... it was not uncommon.
khkddn
if a random person during the time saw lucy would they assume she is mixed? or does she pass as not being mixed?
i'm wondering if this would change how she is treated
Archangel
Speaking for the USA, it depended entirely on the place and the person's specific appearance
But rarely would it be ignored
MK_Wizard
Ha. Well.... she's a cartoon, but if she were real, yes. You would tell because her skin is a bit too dark, she has the eyes and lips, as well as the physique.
mathtans
Just an aside on the topic of cartoons, I feel like it takes a while to draw the hairdos. ^^
MK_Wizard
She can't pass off not being mixed. She's one of those very obvious cases.
Oh ho ho ho. Jekyll's hair IS tedious to draw, but it's worth it because it makes him stand out.
Archangel
Also, her hair isn't right. One of the more dominant traits of African heritage is the way hair behaves--very bristly and stand-outy (I don't know the right word). To get it to flow like Lucy's does, one needs a good deal of product every morning. Or so a friend told me once.
mathtans
Well done, MK. Also for having Emily's be similar, what with the family resemblance.
MK_Wizard
Thanks
RebelVampire
QUESTION 3. In the current story, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde have become aware of a mysterious alchemist causing trouble. Who exactly is this mysterious alchemist? Why is this alchemist helping Governor Carew? Exactly what do you think this project is that the board of governors is looking to fund by using the alchemist’s talents? Do you think Mr. Hyde’s previous actions will put the board on extra alert for their investigations? How might this affect Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll’s success in stopping Carew’s villainy, if so? Alternatively, how might the various things the alchemist is able to do (like create gold) change the characters’ views on how the world works? All in all, how do you feel this arc of cases will wind up be solved (or go unsolved)?
Archangel
I do know that one of the standard "tests" of somebody's background back in the bad old days was to look at their hair, precisely because this trait is so dominant.
mathtans
Well, I'm obviously not there yet, but I feel like this was set up very well with the mercury poisoning stuff happening in the background of what I have read.
Archangel
Well, creating gold is always a bad idea when the economy is based on gold. Every mage's guild I've ever seen in any universe has a big fat rule against it
MK_Wizard
In Lucy's case, it's her skin, eyes and lips. Plus, her body type as she got older. Don't forget, coloured people go far beyond the hair and skin.
But back to the subject, it was explicitly stated that making your own gold is 100% illegal.
Archangel
So they have to be either utterly stupid or they don't care about devaluing the currency. Not something for men of means (and thus knowledge of at least some finance and economics) to take lightly
My bad, but my second point stands re: their scheme with the unfortunate chickens
RebelVampire
youre making a huge assumption they understand how the economy works. XD i dont get the impression most of the men of means care, as long as they get theirs and get to have their fancy stuff.
MK_Wizard
Plus, the board of governors have a lot of influence.
mathtans
What about making gold for someone else?
Archangel
I'd like to argue with you, RV, but I can't.
Presumably charged as an accessory, @mathtans
MK_Wizard
@Seebee, you got anything to add to this?
Archangel
Given that we're talking chemistry, though, the other classic thing that comes up aside from gold is some sort of immortality potion. I don't recall any hints to that effect, though.
mathtans
"You made a gold chain for my locket?" "Yes, now it's an accessory."
Seebee
Hmmm... not at the moment
I will be honest, I am ded inside from being out all day))
mathtans
I'm reminded of how Jekyll's first attempts at his formula involved trying almost all elements on the periodic table. He must have certain resources that might be helpful for going after an alchemist.
MK_Wizard
That and Jekyll has the most valuable resource of all: his own genius
Archangel
Mmm. He can certainly analyze any samples or whatnot that Hyde acquires.
RebelVampire
maybe thatll be the next arc, where theyre trying to find an immortality potion.
khkddn
i imagine the alchemist is helping governor carew because he's deeply involved w the plan somehow. it'd be weird if he were just a hired alchemist, because, what're they gonna pay him in? gold?? couldn't he just make the gold himself
Archangel
Perhaps the deal is that they'll put him beyond the law
So he can actually get away with it
No point to crime if you can't enjoy the result
MK_Wizard
It's definitely something big and it also shows how heinous the board of governors really are.
RebelVampire
i kind of think the previous arc has made it more difficult though. cause if i was on the board, i would def be on high alert. all it takes is one guy saying "hey i saw hyde snooping around stopping our gold operation"
MK_Wizard
Actually, nobody can say or do anything.
The alchemist burnt the evidence and place to the ground.
mathtans
Everything probably points back to Carew. That guy is shady as anything. (Incidentally, good job emphasizing his character with that statue debacle near the start. Not a nice man.)
RebelVampire
i can only think the alchemist is in it for the secret project. cause i agree with khkddn, its not like the alchemist needs gold
Archangel
I don't think we've seen any bent cops to this point, which means that the Governors either need enough evidence to fool honest cops (not so easy to fake), or to keep mum
MK_Wizard
It's a bit of both. Not enough evidence and some cops are crooked much to Sgt. Drumwell's dismay.
Archangel
There's always a few, and they always get promoted. >_<
Kei Esteban
Hello! Sorry I'm Late!
MK_Wizard
It's cool!
Archangel
*Hi ho
khkddn
heya
Kei Esteban
Thanks
RebelVampire
tbf its not like these are modern csi times. so theres only so many ways they can analyze evidence in the first place
MK_Wizard
Exactly
khkddn
do they even have fingerprint technology at this point?
Archangel
The techniques were fully established by that point, but not so widely accepted
MK_Wizard
They do have a way of detecting fingerprints, but fire destroys everything.
mathtans
Gotta make themselves a time machine.
Archangel
Wiki "Henry Classification System" sometime for an interesting insight into pre-fingerprint policing
khkddn
ah well to get anything out of ashes i think they would need chemical analysis that doesn't exist yet. it'd prolly be faster to build a time machine yep
Archangel
The problem with fire is that it alters the chemical composition of everything
MK_Wizard
Exactly. The alchemist knew precisely what he was doing.
Archangel
So unless you have research data, it's pretty much impossible to ID the source substances.
khkddn
they need chemical analysis that doesn't even exist in OUR time yet
Archangel
Well, the good guys do have a genius (al)chemist on their side...
Speaking of, @MK_Wizard , is there an actual technical distinction between chemistry and alchemy, or is it just po-tay-to/po-tah-to?
mathtans
Maybe someone will Hyde the evidence.
MK_Wizard
Yes and no.
khkddn
if only the chickens could speak english. then the truth would be out there
MK_Wizard
To explain, alchemy has some spirituality and magical properties behind it. Basically, it was the stepping stone to chemistry. People discovered that magic did have a science behind it and upon further research, people discovered that magic had a direct link to nature.
khkddn
i have to work on a school project and this is distracting me way too much so i'm gonna go. it's been fun chatting!
Archangel
glhf
MK_Wizard
With that, human beings who have no magic invented a way to "use magic" without having any themselves. Alchemy. They would use ways of manipulating nature in supernatural ways and through that, they discovered how to make chemicals and made other marvels through science.
@khkddn thanks for joining us
Of course, it wasn't just humans who used magic. Other races did too.
Kei Esteban
Ah, Other than Trolls and Humans, do you have any interest in having other Races show up?
mathtans
Interesting bringing that up, what with trolls being a thing common enough to be known with police. I wondered too.(edited)
MK_Wizard
Definitely. In fact, you already saw two and didn't know it.
Remember the short guy Biggs? He's a gnome.
Archangel
Oh cool
Kei Esteban
Ah Neat ^_^
Archangel
I still say he needs a buddy named Wedge
Kei Esteban
XD
RebelVampire
thats interesting. cause i was curious why everyone was like shrugging to the presence of trolls
XD
MK_Wizard
The other one is Tyler the redhead, but what HE is... you're going to see
mathtans
Now I'm picturing Biggs renting himself out to stand in gardens during the day.
Archangel
"If I parked a tank outside your office, after a week it would be just another car." --one of my vet buddies
Kei Esteban
I look forward to finding out ^_^
Archangel
(as in my buddy who's a vet. I was never in the Service)
Also, London in our world is one of the most metropolitan environments on earth. I bet it's the same in the story.
MK_Wizard
Most definitely,
mathtans
I now kind of wonder about interracial breeding.
MK_Wizard
It's like the "New York" of Europe in my comic. You'll find anyone there.
Archangel
Just like in real life
MK_Wizard
You've seen it already. Sgt. Drumwell is half troll and half human.
mathtans
Like, troll and human must be a thing given how Hyde and Lucy.... oh, yeah? Hummmm.
MK_Wizard
Hence his human appearance, but he has yellow fangs and his eyes.
Kei Esteban
Settings like that are always nice too see
MK_Wizard
It's also why he's compassionate. He was lucky because his parents were very wealthy so their money protected them. Plus, he passes off as a human mostly, but his eyes, teeth and height give him away.
Archangel
Well, it's for MK to say for sure, but one of the definitions of separate species is the inability to interbreed. There are exceptions, but that's the general rule. It would be interesting to see Hyde and Lucy have little ones, though. In due course.
Kei Esteban
indeed
RebelVampire
are laws applied equally or is there inequality as far as different species go? like is there special laws that only exist for trolls, etc.?
mathtans
Actually, Sgt Drumwell is their child. Eventually Jekyll perfects the time machine and sends him back.
MK_Wizard
lol no
Archangel
lmao
MK_Wizard
Here's how it works. It's generally a taboo socially, but if you're very rich, you can get away with a lot. You just won't be respected for it.
For example... there's another non-human you saw without knowing it. Utterson's redheaded wife Camilla. She's a wizard.
AND he married her without making her convert to his faith/human lifestyle. He allows her to continue living openly as a wizard and practicing her culture.
Archangel
Fascinating. And again, makes sense that people would regard sentient species the way they regarded other races at the time.
Kei Esteban
Well he is a Great guy, so that's not too surprising he would be respectful of her completely
MK_Wizard
Her hair was also an Easter Egg to her race. In old lore, red heads were often thought to be witches.
RebelVampire
QUESTION 4. Despite working together, Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll still argue quite often and risk their own safety a lot. How might their shared injury and pain help or hurt their ability to function in their own daily lives in the future? Do you believe that at some point the two’s shared identity of sorts will be revealed? If so, how do you envision this coming about? Given the growing relationship between Mr. Hyde and Lucy, will Mr. Hyde be compelled to tell her at some point? What about Dr. Jekyll with his niece and nephew? Do you think the two’s shared arrangement with the body will work long term, or will they at some point need to make alterations to their living situation? Ultimately, how do you feel their living arrangement will affect their future adventures, whatever you think those future adventures might be?
Kei Esteban
@MK_Wizard Oh no! They are on too me! (I'm a Red head XD)(edited)
MK_Wizard
Ok, for this... I leave entirely up to all of you. So... bring on the fan theories!
Archangel
Let's see. Well, Lucy absolutely has a right to know. How she'll react, I have no idea.
As to Emily & Will... I think Emily should be briefed in, if only so she won't freak out if Hyde has to come get them to prevent a kidnapping or something by the opposition.
MK_Wizard
Keep in mind. Nobody knows yet.
Nobody except Louis and he's not talking.
Archangel
Right. I think Lucy can keep a secret. Emily... honestly don't know her well enough to say.
RebelVampire
yeah i think as far as a long term arrangement, its not gonna work. because assuming hyde wants to marry lucy at some point, thatd be problematic. even worse, what if jekyll meets somebody. they are fooling themselves if they think this can work out indefinitely. so jekyll is gonna need to put that genius to work.
Kei Esteban
I think it would be best in the long run for those closest to them to know. Lucy and Emily would be a great start indeed
Archangel
Knowledge of the situation would be all that Carew & Lanyon need to discredit anything Jeckyl says, ever, so it certainly can't become public knowledge.
MK_Wizard
Lanyon is out of the picture for good. It's the one thing I can confirm. He's defeated for good.
Archangel
Yay!
He was a good bad guy, though
Kei Esteban
I love how he effectively defeated himself! XD
MK_Wizard
That was the point. And it was also karma. Lanyon got successful by riding on Jekyll's tail and taking everything that was his.
In the end, doing this was his undoing.
Sure he didn't have Jekyll's money to do stuff, but it didn't make being a skunk ok especially because Jekyll really did see him as a friend and would have hlped him.
Kei Esteban
It was such a Creative way to end the conflict ^_^
Archangel
I don't think he'd believe you if you'd told him that to his face. People like that seem to get that way because they assume that everybody's out to get everybody. At least in my (blessedly limited) contact with the species.
Kei Esteban
That's an unfortunate way to look at the world. By that i mean the "everybody out to get everybody" bit.(edited)
MK_Wizard
I wanted to show that there are good and bad people from every social standing.
Basically, different kinds of good and bad people.
mathtans
Back. (Had to see to the little one briefly.)
MK_Wizard
Aww
mathtans
In terms of people knowing, would they believe without seeing the transformation?
Archangel
Good question
MK_Wizard
Would you? I don't think so.
mathtans
It's not like people have iPhones to video record it.
Archangel
That might help them keep the secret
mathtans
I mean, there's the argument of they haven't been in the same room together.
RebelVampire
nah i highly doubt it. in fact, far more likely the person claiming this is a thing that happened would get sent to an asylum
MK_Wizard
Yeah, but... who would believe the two share a body that transforms without seeing it?
mathtans
Though I agree with Rebel that they'll need to figure something out so that relationship things don't become an issue.
Someone with MPD?
MK_Wizard
Not talking (teasing)
I will share one tidbit... At the end of the true end of the story, there will be no loose ends.
For anything. And that is all.
mathtans
Just got to the bit with Lanyon, btw, that you were referencing earlier. That was very clever, coming full circle, and good final shot of him in the mirror.
RebelVampire
actually ya know tbf, didnt louis take some of the potion. you could use louis to show its a real thing
in the sense of the transformation
mathtans
Crazy theory time: Jekyll figures out how to shift Hyde to share a body with someone else instead. Hyde and Lucy decide to become "one", and ride off into the sunset.
MK_Wizard
I will say this now... no.
That sounds romantic on paper, but that would actually be bad.
Because how would they be a couple?
mathtans
Kissing mirrors.
Archangel
That'd make it like that one movie where the knight and the lady each shapeshift, but they alternate states at dawn and can never be together. That was one weird movie.
Good curse, though
MK_Wizard
That sounds like the worst kind of hell for two people deeply in love. To be so close, yet completely separate.
Kei Esteban
@MK_Wizard like Garnet, from Steven Universe? XD
Archangel
Actually, what Mat describes would be a truly horrible curse for a couple. I might use that someday.
MK_Wizard
Garnet is not Ruby and Sapphie per se. She is the embodiment of their love.
mathtans
Yeah, you're not wrong. Okay, so Hyde and Poole...?
Archangel
Poole's not getting any younger
What happens when one half dies?
MK_Wizard
They both die.
Kei Esteban
@MK_Wizard Very True (I guess we can't use Gem logic here)(edited)
mathtans
Yeah, I think that was stated. When they hurt, the other hurts too.
RebelVampire
yeah i feel the fact they share pain and death is gonna be weaponized against them. cause if i needed to get rid of hyde, id go for jekyll if i knew that fact. cause whats jekyll gonna do? slap me a little?
Kei Esteban
then how about Hyde and Carew? (Hyde just takes over full time)
MK_Wizard
You all really hit the nail on the head that them sharing a body, but not lives and such is going to become a challenge.
Archangel
Good point. Though you'd have to bump Jeckyl right away rather than keeping him around. Come sunset...
mathtans
Just to talk about Emily again (because she's cool), I feel like she'd understand, if the truth came out. Though I wonder if she'd be hurt that Jekyll didn't say anything sooner.
Archangel
Ooo, I like Kei's idea. Not sure it works that way, though.
MK_Wizard
And I will disprove the theory now.... Hyde and Jekyll cannot suddenly be shifted to another person. Neither soul is a "disease" you can hand onto someone else.
Archangel
@mathtans I agree. My concern would be whether she can keep a secret. She is a teenage girl, after all.
MK_Wizard
They are a person.
Archangel
And keeping a cool secret is hard at any age
MK_Wizard
They are two people.
Kei Esteban
indeed
mathtans
Archangel: She's pretty mature for her age though. Granted, she's also pretty outspoken. I don't think she'd say anything intentionally, but it might come out in the heart of the moment or something. (Which is maybe why she could accept not having been told.)
RebelVampire
i think emily could keep a secret. now will on the otherhand
MK_Wizard
So all theories of them being put onto someone else will not come to pass because that's impossible.
RebelVampire
will i would believe couldnt keep a secret cause hes even younger(edited)
Archangel
Perhaps with the materials to 'construct' a new body, and the proper spellwork, each can be embodied separately? Sort of a siamese twin operation?
Will is right out at his age.
Kei Esteban
Will being a kid, might even think it's cool (Which he would be right)(edited)
mathtans
So maybe one of them decides to sacrifice themselves for the good of the two of them. Jekyll already tried that once.
MK_Wizard
I won't say much about who can keep a secret, but in my experience, it goes with personality not age.
Archangel
I will say that almost nobody under the age of 10 can keep a secret in my experience. But aside from that, agreed.
mathtans
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Nellie couldn't keep a secret.
MK_Wizard
You've also seen that Hyde would never have that. He's not an active killer. And he loves Jekyll as a brother. He wouldn't kill him if he asked him to.
And taking over essentially does that.
Archangel
I'm not sure Nellie's bright enough to grasp the core concept XD
Kei Esteban
XD
Archangel
Here's a really trippy question, MK: do J&D have separate souls, or do they share one?
mathtans
(And I had to go to the cast page to look up the name, and now I see how "half troll" is right there in Drumwell's bio, nice.)
MK_Wizard
They have separate souls.
Archangel
Obviously their minds are separate, but I'm questioning their spiritual state in the technical sense
Okay, so it's reasonable to theorize that they could be separated and embodied separately. It would certainly take high magic, though.
MK_Wizard
The Hyde Formula has magical properties. For example, did you know that in reincarnation, the soul splits? Hence why some people who get reincarnated can be reincarnated as multiple people.
Archangel
I've never heard that.
mathtans
Well, if the original intention was a sort of "Disney" Jekyll and Hyde, maybe there will be a Disney ending? Somehow?
Archangel
Pillars of Eternity has this whole thing about souls fragmenting, but that's more like chips off a rock over time.
MK_Wizard
In the case of Jekyll and Hyde, Hyde came from a piece of Jekyll's own soul, but it became its own unique being.
Yes, You got it!
Archangel
Makes sense.
MK_Wizard
Keep in mind, even Disney endings aren't always perfect.
RebelVampire
the disney ending will be hyde and lucy riding off in a carriage with the just got married sign and jekyll will come to cause they decided to just make it a threesome
although that joke aside i wonder if jekyll and lucy will ever interact
MK_Wizard
Uh, no lol
Lucy is not Jekyll's type and Hyde would not share his woman with anyone.
Nor would Jekyll do that.
Jekyll is as monogamous as they come lol.
mathtans
Hmmm, and is it too late to ship Lucy and Emma?
Archangel
RV is right insofar as it would be interesting to see how Jeckyl and Lucy get along socially. I imagine that after some initial sounding out, they'll manage well enough. After all, Lucy is a lady and Jeckyl is a gentleman. That goes a long way.
lmao
Kei Esteban
It would be nice to see Jekyll meet someone new, that is actually good for him
Archangel
^
MK_Wizard
@mathtans That ship is solely wish fulfilment and a fan fantasy.
RebelVampire
i more wonder the social interaction cause that could make hyde jealous. if jekyll and lucy got along even if it was totally platonic
Archangel
Actually, someone like Emily would be very good for Jeckyl... in the sense of personality, not age.
mathtans
(I always ship the ladies... ) And actually, the thought that it's a fan fantasy already amuses me.
Archangel
Cue the "I ship it, I don't care" song
MK_Wizard
I made this comic knowing people would do ships if the comic caught on. All I say is that, as long as you accept that it is not the official storyline.
mathtans
Maybe Jekyll can be the best man at the Hyde/Lucy wedding?
Archangel
Only if Poole is the Father of the Bride
Otherwise J would slide down to second place IMO
mathtans
What's official is definitely up to the author. All the best with it! It's an interesting take.
MK_Wizard
Thanks

OUAT Fanfic writing prompts
I’m aware some have been done before, but it’s always interesting reading different versions based off the same writing prompt. Any length story (I like longer ones); you’re welcome to elaborate or expand off the list.
Captain Swan
1)       Emma likes to watch Hook/Killian get ready in the morning. She finds it fascinating how he manages to put his clothes on, how he uses his hook, applies guyliner. The way his muscles flex is quite the sight too. (Before and after his wardrobe change)
2)       Emma gives Hook/Killian a much needed massage, and gives his stump a little extra TLC.
3)       Hook/Killian’s reaction to the first time he saw Emma dressed to the nines. The appreciation he shows her takes place behind closed doors, far from others, and where they can be as loud as they please.
4)       AU S2, no Pan curse. Emma knows how he feels, after all he told her and if she’s being honest with herself, she feels the same. But before she can tell him exactly why she acts the way she does toward him, another crisis/villian pops up, and she’s hurt or cursed. Hook/Killian feels a crushing pain in his chest and doesn’t quite understand.
5)       Emma and Killian/Hook switch bodies. Sexy times ensue when they can’t resist each other despite the slight awkwardness.
6)       S6. Emma gets turned into a man (ex. Magical spell side effect/gone wrong). She and Hook/Killian end up in a fight and somehow end up kissing. Killian soon realizes it’s Emma; he’d recognize those eyes anywhere and besides, “I know how you kiss, love”. They talk. He examines her new body (with and/or without clothes) and is extremely aroused by what he sees. Emma feels self-conscious but Killian shares a secret - he’s bi. SMUT ensues. Killian begs Emma to nail him with her cock, “bugger me Swan”
7)       S6. Killian/Hook/DH gets split – Jekyll’s potion/vapor or something else. The halves argue, go separate ways or other. Emma gets cursed. Each half tries, but TLK fails. Mother Superior sheds light on why. The halves fully realize she doesn’t just love one part of them. They must set aside differences and rally together to find a way to become whole to save their Love.
8)       S6. Dealing with Hyde has been a pain in Emma’s ass but he’s gone into hiding for the time being with the Evil Queen. Killian has convinced her to take a day or two off, however, the EQ decided to attack once more. She throws a potion/spell at Emma while everyone’s distracted but Killian shoves her out of the way. After the smoke clears and the EQ’s disappeared Emma holds Killian’s unconscious body. She’s relieved when he opens his baby blues. Emma kisses him but is surprised her pirate is a little different. At the moment Killian is all Captain Hook, his darkness has come back to play and Emma is about to find out just how much the pirate Captain loves her too.
9)       AU S4 finale/S5. Role reversal. Hook/Killian takes on the darkness to protect Emma and she’s determined to find him. There is nothing she will not do for her pirate.
10)   S4 finale. Emma does work up the courage to tell Hook/Killian she loves him on the bed.
11)   Hook/Killian reacts to the first time Emma hugs him for real.
12)   Hook/Killian and Emma react to hearing the other sing. Killian sings a sea shanty while working on the Jolly. Emma hums then sings while putting laundry away in their home.
13)   S6. Hook/Killian and Emma’s reactions upon seeing each other at their wedding. Killian to Emma’s dress, and Emma to Killian’s black velvet tux.
14)   S6. Emma scrambles to find a different dress after the Black Fairy ruined her mother’s and she doesn’t quite like the two that are hanging in the foyer.
15)   Emma is having a really bad day. For one, she has a helluva migraine. Add to that the phone at the sheriff’s station has been ringing non-stop, she didn’t have enough time to eat breakfast or her morning coffee, her little brother is sick/colicky, Mary Margaret is pissing her off with all the baby talk lately “Neal this & Neal that” plus the baby supplies everywhere, David’s not helping the situation and Henry decided to act the moody pre-teen. The loft is just too cramped. When she finally decided to put her foot down about getting a place of her own both complained that neither wants her to leave. This day couldn’t end quickly enough. She wants her pirate and a hot chocolate with rum, in that order.
16)   S6 finale. Killian gets to Emma before Henry after she falls. He gives her TLK instead.
17)   Emma’s heart somehow gets crushed. No one knows how to deal with it and Killian/Hook refuses to give up. He begs Regina if there’s a way to bring her back. She tells him about heart splitting, but warns it’ll only work if they share the true love. He’s willing to take the risk for the woman he loves and can’t live without.
18)   S2 finale/S3. Somehow everyone ends up back in the Enchanted Forest, along with Henry and Emma. Hook/Killian goes off to find his ship after telling Emma that he will come back for her. Time passes. Emma has finally had enough of castle life and the Princess schtick, it’s not who she is but no one seems to care and takes off. Reunited with the Jolly, Hook/Killian is on his way to the Charming’s castle when he receives a bird letter. Upon arrival he finds a distressed Snow & Charming. They send him to find Emma. When he does, she’s become the pirate he always knew she could be.
19)   AU. Pirate Emma Swan & Merman Killian
20)   AU. Captain Hook/Jones & Princess Emma turned mermaid. TLK.
21)   AU. Emma lost most of her leg in an accident when she was young and still in foster care or at a group home. She’s managed to hide her handicap and no one in Storybrooke knows or is aware that the Savior has a prosthetic – not even her son or her parents. Hook/Killian finds out.
22)   AU. Emma isn’t the Savior, her older twin sister is and Henry is actually her nephew.
23)   There was a consequence to sending Emma through the wardrobe that no one foresaw. (Split personality)
 Captain Hook/Killian Jones
1)       Being with Emma has been eye opening, in more ways than one. He realizes what he had with Milah wasn’t true love. Even though it hurts he looks back on their time together and sees how they were just using each other. But with his Swan, he’s not only a different person but a better man.
2)       S5. In the Underworld, Killian/Hook thinks back on all Emma has done for him ever since they met, even when he thought she didn’t care. He remembers the good times and bad, but can’t help questioning if they were really bad.
 CaptainCharming Believer
1)       S6 finale. David/Charming and Killian/Hook had more time on the beanstalk.
2)       S6. Killian has David over on the Jolly again while he tries the white tux on. They both decide it doesn’t suit him, Henry agrees wholeheartedly when he stops by. Killian freaks out a little on where to find a different tux since it’s the night before his & Emma’s wedding. Henry offers a solution.
 SwanBeliever
1)       Emma and Henry discuss the ramifications of baby Charming being named after Neal and how they really feel about it. HURT feeling ensue. [Extra kudos if David &/or Mary Margaret overhears]
 Outlaw Queen
1)       S3. Getting to know you. Regina and Robin Hood in Storybrooke. [Extra kudos if include first kiss & eventual sexy times]
2)       AU S3/S4. Robin never left Storybrooke, they found out Zelena was masquerading as Marian before.
3)       AU S5. Zelena loses the baby (ex. Miscarriage/stillborn). Regina comforts Robin after the news; he’s actually a little relieved. [Extra kudos if it’s not Dark Swan/Emma’s fault]
4)       AU S5/S6. Roland stays with Regina after Robin dies.
5)       S6. EvilOutlaw. The Adventures of Wish Realm Robin and the Evil Queen
 Snowing
1)       Mary Margaret and Emma get into a big fight. She’s shocked when David sides with their daughter.
2)       S6. At the end of the day, once the festivities are over & they’re back at the loft. Snow and David discuss the events of the day. Of what they’ve leaved about their daughter & how far Emma has come since she arrived in Storybrooke. Of her relationship with Hook/Killian, what they’ve gone through to get to this point (finally getting married) and just how well he understands her. [Extra kudos if David cries]
 Rumbelle
1)       S4. She didn’t stay asleep like Rumple had planned. Belle is affected by the Curse of Shattered Sight. He’s about to find out just how much anger/rage can be packed into a pint-sized bookworm & hidden under her forgiving personality.
S6 finale. A look into everyone’s happy beginning.
