Callie: Phoebe, NO!
Phoebe: IT’S HIM OR ME, O LORD!
Callie: You can’t ask God to kill someone!

Might post my first fic here...
I'm pretty on the fence about it but I might work up the courage to post it. It's a Ghostbusters sequel set a few years after Frozen Empire. The MC is an OC I created for Afterlife and Frozen Empire. Her name's Alexis Venkman (Peter's daughter).
Here's a description:
"When the spirit of Sumerian sorceress Ahassunu, daughter of Vigo, possesses Alexis, the Ghostbusters must band together to determine the fate of the world"
Anyway, I might post it, I might chicken out and it'll never see the light of day.
Who knows...

Platonic Phoebe and Trevor x Gary Grooberson’s teen kid reader and adjusting to being stepsiblings?
OH MY GOD YES BRO RJSKDMSNSN ; I did my best pls bare w this 💀💀💀
SPENGLER SIBLINGS ; stepsiblings
summary ; youre Gary's kid and you have to adjust with two new stepsiblings
warnings ; language
disclaimers ; your mom is nonexistent/Gary adopted you. it's not a topic brought up at all I don't think but you can choose, ik some people don't like kid of ___ reader or ____ sibling reader so beware lol, takes place between afterlife and frozen empire so no spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched gbfe yet, reader can drive/is around Trevor's age
word count ; 675
masterlist
Tumblr media
it's so awkward at first
especially since you've never had siblings before so it's like they're teenage roommates
like okay your parents are dating or whatever but like, ew?
except you're living with them, not the other way around
both gary and callie are trying to urge you to interact but it's just not happening
you're not really a ghostbuster either, you aren't smart in the sciences and aren't into the whole ghost thing anyways
you're more into traditional ghosts anyways, not the ones that show up in broad daylight and need to be trapped by proton barriers
it's very rough at first
you connect with phoebe first, as a once in a blue moon experience happened, she wanted to act like a normal 14yo and go get ice cream
Callie couldn't take her because she was busy helping trevor with work stuff and told her to ask you
she was like 🤨 and like... "okay?-"
she asks and you look at her like 🤨😊
you guys go get ice cream and she tells you all about the shit you pass on the way there and back home
you surprisingly end up bonding over the struggle of talking to others like normal people and being well reserved with little to no friends
then comes the bonding over a certain book you both liked
the whole car ride home is oasis on the radio and chatter about this book, and going the longest possible way home because you didn't want this bonding moment to end
you sat in the car after phoebe got out, just sitting in silence
you were kind of in awe yet saddened the moment had ended because you were bonding so well
after that she clearly sees you in a new light and looks to you for your wisdom and clear view of the world when she's wrapped in her own madness and needs untangled
you were the trusting older sibling she needed since trevor never really understood the proper being there for your sister thing
they're proper siblings and whatnot but it's not like they go to each other if it's not to shit talk people
you're like their mediator and therapist sibling
getting through to trevor was much harder
you ended up finding him a job and he was like 🤨😒 when you showed him
"oh- uhm, sorry. I was just trying to be nice" and you quickly scramble away
he's just confused cause like ??? you never talked, he didn't even know how you knew he was looking for a job
he comes into your room a couple hours later like "Hey sorry I acted all weird, thanks"
and that's it
bonding with him is so hard, and Gary and Callie are like "okay go fucking do something"
you're all (spengler-groobersons + podcast bc phoebe needed a friend her age) out at an amusement park, and these mfs ditched yall at the carousel next to the bathrooms
and they weren't picking up their phones
you were basically forced to interact now, which was much less awkward in an amusement park
you guys ride some rides and get some food as you frequently call your parents
you finally find them, phew
but you two obviously made a little friendship and had fun together
took a little longer to get used to each other but you're fine now
awkward teenager shit yk?
in general, the three of you now are super close
trevor is your hype man when it comes to talking to people or doing something out of your comfort zone
phoebe is your hype man when you talk to her about maybe wanting to be a ghostbuster / study ghosts
you're the driver for the three of you, callie doesn't trust Trevor with driving, considering how he was driving the ecto1 when he first got it usable again, and obviously, phoebe can't drive
after a few years you're basically just like normal siblings
you three have a sibling group chat and it's 90% you sending memes, Trevor sending random tik tok links and phoebe begging you two to stop blowing up her phone
spenglerson siblings 🔛🔝

In the Field (Lars Pinfield x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: You finally get the chance to go into the field and meet a ghost in the wild.
Words: 2.9k
Be warned, there will be much discussion of slime inside
It wasn’t often you were allowed in the field. You were much more used to sitting behind a desk, tinkering away with the new tech. You only ever saw ghosts in a safe, contained environment. Lars had made it perfectly clear that you were to stay behind and run interference from the lab. Someone needed to be able to do the remote stuff for him according to him.
But this time the Ghostbusters were a man down and they needed some backup. You suited up, strapped on your proton pack, and hopped in the van with the rest of the equipment. Sitting shotgun beside Lars, you watched the city zoom past, the siren loud in your ears. You were smiling to yourself, ignoring the way Lars eyes kept darting over to you.
“Just remember, this isn’t about having fun,” he said.
“Yeah, but it’s a bit fun though, right?” you asked, smiling over at him.
His eyes darted you for a moment, looking less than impressed before returning to rad. Your grin settled more deeply on your face and you could feel yourself bouncing in your seat. You watched him instead, his sure movements making you feel a little hot under the collar. His eyes flicked back to you then quickly away again when he noticed you watching him.
“Be careful,” he said as he pulled up curb side, “it could be dangerous in there.”
“Aw, are you worried about my safety?” you asked, turning towards him.
He didn’t answer, climbing from the van and slamming the door. you laughed to yourself, joining him on the street with the rest of the team. Lars was already handing out the new tech, leaving you looking up at the old hotel towering above you.
“Hey Pheebs,” you said, getting the teenager’s attention.
“Yeah?” she asked.
“What kind of dog does a chemist have?” you asked.
“I don’t know. What kind of dog does a chemist have?” she asked, playing along.
“A lab…radore,” you replied, grinning over at her.
Her lips quirked up into a small smile and you nudged her with your shoulder, smiling down at her.
“Hey, nice to see you out of the lab,” Gary said, joining the two of you considering the building.
“Thanks. I didn’t know fresh air could smell so fresh,” you replied.
“That’s why it’s called fresh air,” he replied.
“No way,” you said, pretending to sound amazed.
“Alright, everyone know the plan?” Callie asked before he could say anything else.
The general agreement was enough for the group to surge the entrance, proton packs at the ready. From there, you split off, peeling away from one another. You and Lars took the stairs to the higher levels, leaving the basement to the professionals.
The long hallways began to blend together as you walked behind Lars, looking at the readouts from your equipment. He had his headphones on, swiping the microphone past the doors. You found yourself watching him more then the equipment. It was probably for the best you didn’t spend much time with him in the field.
He was always a distraction to you.
The minutes stretched out, leaving the two of you in silence. You knew he said it wouldn’t be fun, but you didn’t think it would be this boring. Some excitement would have been nice.
“Hey, Lars?” you asked, jogging to walk beside him.
“I can’t listen if you talk,” he said.
“Why don’t you ever let me join you in the field?” you asked, looking up at him
He glanced down at you, looking less than impressed by your question.
“You know why,” he replied, “we need you doing the remote work. Will you let me listen now?”
“Why can’t you be the one doing the remote work sometimes?” you asked.
He sighed, barely containing a roll of his eyes. You snorted, looking down at the PKE meter in your hand, raising an eyebrow at the reading.
“Hey, Lars?” you said.
“I need silence to listen,” he said.
“Yeah, but Lars-“
“If you’re not going to take this seriously you can go stay in the van,” he interrupted.
“Okay but-“
He sighed, stopping as he turned to look at you. You froze, looking up from the PKE meter readings. He pulled the headphones from his ears leaving them hanging around his neck and if you weren’t so worried about the readings, the fierce look on his face might have been unspeakably attractive. As it was, you found your gaze drifting to something over his shoulder.
“We’re not here to mess around with ghosts. This is serious work. You can’t be messing around like you do in the lab,” he was saying but your attention was so focused on what was going on down the hall.
Phasing through the far wall, blue light was reaching out towards the two of you. Fog curled along the carpet, the air growing cold where it touched your bare skin. Lars hadn’t noticed yet, so focused on telling you off he was missing it. the ghost itself was tall, almost skeletal. It took slow steps down the hall, stretching above Lars, hair brushing the ceiling.
“Lars,” you said, interrupting him.
“What?” he snapped.
You pointed over his shoulder. He turned, slow to look up into the grinning face of the ghost. Its lips had pulled back, almost too far, exposing more teeth than anyone should show. One translucent hand reached out towards Lars, fingers curling as if threatening to squeeze his body once it had him in his hold. He took a stumbling step back.
You dropped the PKE meter, pulling your proton gun into your hands. You held it up, waiting to see what Lars would do. He told you to let him take lead, and you were trying but he seemed to be fumbling to pull his own proton gun free.
The ghost bent down until it was eye to eye with Lars. You watched as he froze, holding up both hands to it, trying to placate it. You held your breath.
“We don’t want to hurt you,” Lars said.
That was the wrong thing to say. The air grew colder and the ghost screamed in his face. Ectoplasm splashed into his body, coating him with enough force he went flying backwards. You managed to jump out of the way just in time, slamming into the wall. The ghost advanced, grinning down at Lars. He struggled, trying to wipe the slime from his glasses.
“Oi, chuckle brother. Look over here,” you shouted.
Lars’ eyes turned towards you as the ghost turned its head to look down at you. You steadied yourself for a moment, bracing yourself against the wall before letting the proton stream go free. It burst from the nozzle, red light and sizzling electricity slamming into the wall across from you. Making a worried noise, you turned it towards the ghost. The stream wrapped around its body, holding it in place.
“Hey, Lars,” you called down to him.
“What?” he demanded, still wiping at the slime on his glasses.
“Trap,” you shouted to him.
With a surprisingly practiced motion, he slid the trap he’d been holding along the carpeted floor until it was positioned under the ghost. You slammed your foot down on the pedal. It opened with a loud beep. Struggling with the gun, you forced the ghost down until it got caught in the vacuum of the trap, sucking down into it. You shut your gun off, taking your foot off the pedal, closing the trap and containing the ghost.
“What were you talking about? That was totally fun,” you said, looking down at the still smoking trap.
“Maybe for you.”
You turned. Lars was finally climbing to his feet, slime dripping from his body. You couldn’t help the giggle that came from you. You bit down on your lower lip, trying to stifle it but not managing very well.
“Come here,” you said.
He took a trudging step towards you. You met him half way, still giggling. Reaching up, you gently took his glasses from his face, wiping away the slime on your uniform. You were careful as you placed them back on his nose. He’d pushed his hair out of his face and although he was dripping, he’d done his best to wipe his face clean.
“There you go,” you said, voice low, as if the moment was private.
“Thanks,” he said.
“We make a good team,” you said.
He glanced over your shoulder at the trap. He stepped around you, picking it up and if you checked out his ass as he bent over that was no one’s business but your own.
“Let’s see if the others have captured any specimens,” he said, the moment you’d shared now broken.
“Sure.”
You followed behind him again, avoiding the dripping slime he left in his wake. The rest of the team was clustered in the foyer of the hotel, looking a little worse for wear.
“Did something explode?” you asked, joining their group.
“Yeah, it was awesome,” Gary said, wearing the vestiges of of the smoke on his face.
“Lars got slimed,” you said, “I had to save him. It was pretty awesome too.”
“Nice.”
The two of you shared a high five.
“So we’re done? We won?” Lars asked.
“Got a couple of bad boys right here,” Callie said, holding up some traps.
You took them from her, doing your best to avoid the smoke coming from them.
“Nice haul,” you said, “these are gonna be fun to study later. I can just feel it.”
“We should get these into the containment unit,” Lars said, taking the traps from you. He left a slime residue on your finger.
“Good work, guys,” you said over your shoulder as you followed Lars back to the van.
You climbed into the passenger seat, lying down some towels on the driver’s seat for when Lars joined you. He pulled open the door, traps stored safely in the back, and looked down at the towels.
“Protection,” you said at his questioning look.
He climbed in beside you, his flight suit stripped down, arms tied around his waist. Your teeth dug into your bottom lip, surprised at how much that look was working for you. He glanced at you before starting the van.
The drive back to the lab was quiet. You weren’t quite sure what to say to him and he didn’t even attempt to say anything to you. You kept stealing glances at him, missing the fact he was doing the same to you.
When you arrived back at the lab you split from him, taking the traps to the containment units while he cleaned up. The slime had begun to harden and flake off his body as he scratched at it. It was like he had a horrible skin condition. That wasn’t working for you so much.
You stripped out of your flight suit, getting back into your jeans and tank top. A bruise was beginning to bloom on your shoulder, presumably from where you hit the wall avoiding the slime. After depositing the ghosts into the containment unit you wandered back to your bench, wanting to note down the exact experience with the one you’d caught.
“I really don’t like ectoplasm.”
You startled, looking up. Lars had approached your bench, blond hair still wet, dressed in a t-shirt and some sweatpants. Your mouth went dry and you knew you were staring but you couldn’t help it. Usually dressed in a button up shirt and a tie, this casual look was making you feel feral, like you wanted to sink your teeth into him. He was rubbing a towel through his hair, doing his best to dry it.
“Does anyone?” you managed to ask.
He looked up at you, his glasses askew and a small smile curling up the corners of his lips. You loved this small shared moments in the lab, right when you were the last two there, the lights dimmed, the dark pushing in from the outside.
“You did well today,” he said, surprising you.
“You think? Maybe I could start coming out more often,” you said.
“You’re hurt,” he said.
His fingers brushed over the bruise on your shoulder. You shivered under his touch and he snatched his hand back.
“Sorry,” he said, “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“You didn’t,” you said, shaking your head, surprised by how much you wanted his fingers back on your skin.
“This is why you can’t come out into the field,” he said, voice hardening, turning away from you.
“Why? You just said I did well today.” You couldn’t keep up with him and his changing moods.
“You got hurt,” he said, voice tight.
“So? The others get hurt all the time and you don’t ban them from busting,” you said.
“Because they’re not you,” he said, whirling to face you again.
“What?” It felt as if the air had been forced from your lungs.
“I can’t see you hurt. It.. I’m not…” he thrust his fingers into his hair, clenching in his frustration, “I won’t see you hurt again.”
“Lars,” you said softly, standing from your stool, reaching a hand out to him.
“I can’t concentrate if I’m worrying about you being hurt. That’s why I tell you to do the remote work. That’s why you can’t do any more field work,” he said.
Your hand landed on his shoulder, index finger running along the collar of the t-shirt. You saw him shudder but didn’t stop, even when you brushed against the skin of his neck. You took a half step closer, staring up into his frustrated face, your other hand clutching the soft cotton of the shirt closer to bellybutton.
“And how do you think when you’re out there and I’m stuck behind a screen? You go out and I’ve seen you come back with all kinds of injuries and sometimes I think one day you won’t come back and there’s nothing I can do about it,” you said, dragging him closer, “I care about you, Lars, and it kills me that I can’t be out there with you watching your back.”
He looked stunned, as if you’d just told him something groundbreaking, but for you it was the simple truth. Sure, you’d had fun in the field, but you only ever wanted to be there to make sure he was okay. You wanted to protect him, as much as he seemed to want to protect you.
“I’m always going to come back,” he said, voice softer now, full of wonder.
“Egon Spengler didn’t,” you said.
He considered you for a moment, eyes darting over your face. You realised your hands were still on him but his warmth was comforting after the chill of the ghost.
“I’ll always come back to you,” he all but whispered, forehead falling forward until it rested against yours.
His hands came up, resting on your waist, towel dropped to the floor in a crumpled heap. Your breath caught and you couldn’t even be embarrassed by it when it felt so good to be touched by him. You surged up, lips pressing to his. His hands slid further, pressing into the small of your back, pulling you closer. You sighed into his mouth, melting against him, your every dream coming true.
The heat of his skin seeped into your, warming you up until you thought you might catch fire. He kissed you deeper, more intensely, tongue sweeping into your mouth. You squeaked as he pressed you back, lifting you until you were sitting atop the bench, your legs either side of his hips. You hauled him closer, leaning down, enjoying being taller than him for once. You moaned and the hands that had fallen to your hips tightened before he tore himself away.
Chest heaving, lips kiss stung, flush high on his cheeks, he never looked better to you. He stared at you and you stared back, heart thumping hard in your chest.
“We’re at work,” he said.
“We are,” you agreed.
“We have more work to do.”
“We do.”
He took one step closer, then another and you could touch him again. Like a magnet, you were drawn to him, your hands reaching for him without conscious thought. He allowed you to pull him closer again but you didn’t try to kiss him, just needing to feel him under the palms of your hands.
“I suppose I can suffer through you being in the field some more,” he said, “after all, we seem to make a good team.”
You laughed, curling your body around his in a hug. He froze for a moment before his arms curled around you, holding you close. You buried your face in the space where his neck met his shoulder, his skin smelling of soap.
“Thank you,” you whispered.
He pressed a kiss to your temple and you drew back, looking into those blue eyes that had haunted your dreams.
“We should get back to work,” he said.
“Must we?” you asked.
A small smile flirted with his lips and you found yourself smiling back. He pressed a slow kiss to your lips, keeping it chaste lest you get carried away.
“To be continued later,” he murmured against your lips.
“Fine,” you sighed, sliding from the bench, your body brushing against his the entire way down.
You might have agreed but you’d never promised to fight fair. And from the look he gave you, you thought you might be able to change his mind pretty quickly.

Hey I saw you do request and I was wondering if you could do a Phoebe x fem!reader and reader is a new member of the ghostbusters and Phoebe is the one training her
You have a pretty smile
Phoebe Spengler x she/her reader
Phoebe and reader's age; 17
Word count; 6447
Warning; some swearing, I haven't written any fanfiction since 2019 so my writing is rusty and english isn't my mother language.
I hope you like it. :)
Tumblr media
Narrator’s POV;
The car ride to the Paranormal Research Center was one filled with excited chatter. Lucky was the one driving y/n, a new member of the Ghostbusters, to meet her new partners in crime. Lucky was the one to introduce y/n to Winston, they met when y/n moved with her family to the USA. Lucky was the one to help Y/n with a heavy box when she was moving in and they started talking. They decided to keep hanging out and Lucky thought y/n's personality would fit them great and she showed great interest in the paranormal. Winston at the time was already on the lookout for a new member, four may be the original number of the Ghostbusters but it's better to have too many than too few.
Lucky introduced them and Winston got to know y/n, he could tell she had the potential and agreed. That’s how y/n got into this situation, walking to the  Paranormal Research Center, fiddling with her fingers, incredibly nervous. From what she heard the other members were nice people but that wouldn't stop the anxiety.
Lucky glanced at her friend sensing her fear, she put a hand on her shoulder to stop her from walking, the door only a few steps away. “Hey, don’t worry about this too much. You’ll do great and they’ll love you! If something does happen you can always come to me and Winston.”
Y/n turned to look at Lucky as she talked, some of her fear disappearing for a short moment. “We’ll stay friends right?” Lucky smiled reassuringly “Of course, would a hug help?” Y/N nodded to the question receiving a tight hug in return. They pulled apart and y/n sighed deeply turning to the door “Let's get the first meeting over with then” Playing confident she walked to the door, Lucky cheered and clapped her back, then she put her card near the scanner to open the large doors.
“What do you mean by a new member?” Callie asked, confused. “Wait, does that mean one of us is getting fired?” Trevor asked worriedly.
“If so it’s probably you,” Phoebe said seriously, she was of course joking but her brother didn't know that. The little joke didn't calm Trevor who opened his mouth to protest but was cut off by Winston.
“We have been looking for a new member for the Ghostbusters for months now, there are a few reasons why we wanted to expand the team. There are still many ghosts we need to re-catch even two years after they were all released again thanks to Garraka, another member would be able to help with that. I also think a new member would inject fresh energy and ideas. Someone with a different and new background would give us a new perspective on problems and help us solve things quicker. I genuinely do believe this could help the team.” he explained calmly, he seemed quite happy with his decision.
“Why didn’t you maybe warn us beforehand?” Gary asked, baffled at the information they had been kept in the dark from for months. “Well I didn't want to create any false hope, I wanted us to be sure that we found someone new that none of you know.”
“When are we meeting them?” Phoebe asked curious, there was a small part of her that was worried that the new member could betray them. She shuffled at the thought of Melody, she still has some trouble trusting new people.
Footsteps were heard approaching the main doors including a small beep indicating someone was about to come in.
“Right now” Winston smiled as he turned to the door.
“Wait what” Trevor asked bewildered as he and his family turned to the door.
Lucky walked into the lab with a pretty girl next to her. Phoebe's eyes widened at the realization of what she just thought.
“This is y/n! Y/n this is your new team” Phoebe's eyes stayed focused on her new team member as Winstron introduced them. “y/n this is Callie'' Callie smiled at Y/n shaking her hand gently. “This is Gary” Gary shot her a smile as well shaking her hand. “This is Trevor, Callies son,”
“I’m the cool one of the group,” Trevor explained, shaking her hand while smiling proudly.
Phoebe’s POV
“And this is Phoebe, Callies daughter”  My eyes met hers as we shook hands. I forgot for a second that we weren’t alone, so I let go and sent her an awkward smile, my hand still tingling from the feeling. Why am I feeling like this? Did I just call her pretty in my head? Why is my hand tingling like this?
I was so busy with these thoughts and observing the newcomer that I didn’t notice the glances my brother shared with Lucky, scheming glances.
“She’s new to this, so she is going to need someone to train her and I was hoping one of you could do it” Winston explained, “Phoebe could do it.” My head snapped to look at my brother, giving him a ‘what the fuck’ look. “Phoebe is the smartest one in our team” I could hear Dad whisper a small ouch, “she's the one who's been using our equipment the longest and they’re close in age! How old are you?” He asked y/n, “I’m seventeen-” She was cut off by Trevor clapping his hands, “perfect! What do you think sis?” Trevor teased, ignoring my glare as he put his arm on my shoulder.
“I-uhm sure” I answered nervously, “Well that’s great then! She is going to be living with you, my men are already cleaning the empty room and assembling the furniture as we speak”
“What empty room?” Mom asked surprised, “There’s no empty room in the firehouse”, I could see y/n being confused like the rest of us except for Lucky and Winston. “The room behind the bookshelf next to Tevor and Phoebe's room of course”
“There’s been an empty room behind one of our bookshelves and you didn't tell us?”
Winston shrugged at my dad, “I thought you all knew but didn’t use it” He said simply.
“What’s next, a second bathroom?” Trevor jokes, and the glance shared between Lucky and Winston speaks volumes. “ You’re kidding”
“Well then, that’s that, as I said my men are working right now and they should be done very soon. Y/n’s uniform and an extra proton pack and all the other things are being sorted as we speak. I’m just going to have a small talk with Callie and Gary about some things, you guys could get acquainted with each other during that time.” Winston signals my parents to follow him to another room.
Y/n POV;
“It’s an honour to finally meet you guys, I’ve heard a lot of fantastic things about you,” I tell them, the nerves still haven’t disappeared and neither has the excitement. I’m worried they won’t like me, I could feel Phoebe? I think her name was glancing at me. I have to admit she is quite attractive and cute.
I feel warmth on my cheeks as I keep thinking about her. I can’t think like that about her right now, I just met her. Plus she’s going to be my teammate and that could complicate things. I’ll have to ignore this small..crush, if I can call it that, for now.
“Thank you, I’m sure we’re going to have lots of fun together,” Trevor said with a small smirk on his face as he put his arm around me. I didn’t notice the teasing smirk he sent his sister or the glare she sent back. “So there is something I have to warn you about,” He said as he and Lucky led me to the famous Ectomobile with Phoebe following behind. “About what?” I ask, worried.
“It’s about a ghost called Slimer, he lives with us”
“What.” I state giving him a serious and worried look as we enter the car.
“I think I’ll stay clear of the attic then,” I say as we exit the car. The conversation did drift a lot in the car, I didn’t mind too much since it was nice observing and learning more about them. They all talked except for Phoebe who kept quiet for most of the ride. I could feel her glance at me a few times, she was clearly in thought the whole ride.
“Yeah that’s probably the smarter decision, you should have seen Trevor when he met Slimmer for the first time” Callie teased ruffling her son's hair.
“Mom!”
“Well then as nice as it is talking with all of you, I am going to have to steal y/n here, I’m going to be the one helping her decorate and sort out her room. If you’ll excuse us” Lucky said, sending them a smile before dragging me away to my new room.
Narrator’s POV;
“What’s up with you?”
Phoebe turned to look at her mom, acting oblivious. “What do you mean?” Callie came closer wearing a teasing look. “I mean that you’ve been very quiet since we met our new member, lost in thought.”
“And lost in her eyes” Trevor teased as he walked away snickering, Phoebe grabbed a random towel and threw it at him, hitting him in the back, and he scurried off after that.
“Well your brother isn't completely wrong, everything okay?” Callie asked, her worry present in her eyes. Phoebe stared at her shoes, for a moment, “I’m alright, don’t worry about it Mom” She left with that, lost in her thoughts.
“So, you and Phoebe” Lucky started as she opened a box full of different books. “Don’t start” y/n warns, Lucky turns to her friend with a knowing look.
“I have a very strong feeling you have a small crush on her.”
“I don’t”
Lucky made a sound of disagreement while making a face, “Maybe not yet, but you feel something, I can tell” she sang the last part, dodging a small pencil case, her smirk not faltering.
“I know your type, remember you told me”
“Yeah because we made a deal that you would tell me who you like in return, and that someone is in this building as we speak.” y/n teased back. Lucky opened her mouth to try and form words, her cheeks having a red hue to them. “This isn’t about me and that someone-”
“Trevor you mean”
Y/n snorted at the look she received. “As I was saying, this is about you and Phoebe and the small crush that's going to grow stronger with time, she is quite literally what you described your type to me, short hair, fluffy or curly, glasses, a nerd-”
“Yeah, I get it” Y/n grumbles as she puts her bed lining on, “can you help me with this?” She raises the comforter pleadingly. Lucky stands up and helps her even it out. “I just don't want to label these feelings since we just met, besides the chances of her liking me isn’t zero but it’s also unlikely right now”
Lucky put a hand on her friend's shoulder comfortingly, “As your friend it's my job to remind you that there is a good chance she may like you back” Y/n played with one of her pillows thoughtfully. “I don’t want to rush anything, maybe she will and maybe she won’t but thank you”Lucky smiled back at her friend, “Now where do you want me to put these CDs”
Y/n smiled and showed her friend.
Y/n’s POV;
Dinner went nicely, I mostly listened as the family shared a few recent stories about the ghosts they’ve captured lately. Phoebe was quiet through most of it. I could tell the way she was behaving wasn't normal, I noticed thanks to the small looks her family were giving her.
I got comfortable in bed and stared outside the window, it was pouring. I hope I didn’t upset her with being here, if I did I could see why. I am a total stranger that just appeared today, she was then told I would live with her and her family at the same time. It’s a lot of new information and a lot of new changes.
I turned on a show on my phone to fall asleep too. I lost consciousness In a matter of a few minutes, hoping tomorrow would go well.
I woke up to soft knocking, I turned around to look at the door, squinting to see who it was. “Good morning, breakfast is going to be ready in half an hour, I wanted to make sure you were awake.” I sent Gary a smile and muttered a small thank you and with that, he disappeared.
I sat up and stared at my lap thoughtfully. Today was my first official day as a Ghostbuster or at least a Ghostbuster in training.
Phoebe was going to be the one training me, I’m already dreading the weight of the proton pack. With those thoughts I stand up and get ready for the day, dressing in something comfortable and doing my hair.
I walk out of my room and glance at the firefighter pole, it’s too early in the morning for that and I’m not in the mood to land in the hospital on my first day so I walk down the stairs. I was met with the sight of Gary cooking and Trevor stealing some of the fruit when he wasn't looking.
“Good morning,” I say and sit down on one of the chairs at the kitchen island. “Good morning!” Gary smiled as he flipped a pancake, “Morning!” Trevor said with a mouth full of strawberries. “So how are you feeling about your first day?” Gary asked, trying to start a conversation.
“I’m a bit nervous, I’ve never done anything like this before but I am excited,” I explained fiddling with my fingers. “You’ll do great I’m sure! With Phoebe as your teacher, it’ll all go great.”
I smiled and whispered a small thank you. “Do you need any help?” I ask, ready to stand up. “Nah, I’ve got this but thank you” Gary told me as he put the pan away, I could see him playfully swap Trevor's hand away from the cut fruit.
“Where’s Phoebe?” Trevor asked, sitting next to me, he put his fist underneath his chin. “She woke up early, she’s visiting Podcast and Dr Ray, she had something to discuss with them. I don’t know what it is though” Gary explained as he put plates in front of me and Trevor, I took a sip out of the glass in front of me.
“So what do you guys usually do when there isn’t a ghost to bust?” I asked as I put some toppings on my pancake.
Phoebe’s POV;
I opened the door to Dr Ray’s shop, “Morning Dr Ray” I said as I entered, he looked up at me surprised. “Morning Phoebe, you’re here earlier than usual”
“I wanted to talk with Podcast about something, is he here or?”
“I’m right here!” He said, his head poking out from the door behind Dr Ray, “ I'll see you later then” Dr Ray smiles and continues to read a book. I go in and walk after Podcast, “So what’s up?”
“There’s a new ghostbuster on the team” I blurted out. He stops in his tracks and turns to look at me. “There’s a new ghostbuster?” He asked excitedly, “Is that bad or?” He raised an eyebrow noticing my attitude.
I leaned against his desk before I continued speaking “It’s not bad, she seems...nice” I started, he did a hand signal telling me to continue “I’m the one who's going to be training her and well” I stopped talking not knowing how to continue. Podcast gave me a look.
“What?”
“You’re acting weird, does the idea of training her bother you or?”
I shake my head “No, it doesn’t, I just feel..nervous”
Podcast flings one of the Pufts that was bothering him as I speak before he responds “Why are you nervous? Are you worried she might betray us and release a great evil that we’re going to have to defeat?” He asks, I give him a deadpan look. “Listen if you are worried about that, that would be okay. I’m just trying to understand what the problem is here.” He reasons, sending me a concerned look.
I put a hand in my hair, messing with it. “That’s the problem, I don’t even know what's bothering me about this situation exactly. I met her yesterday and she’s staying with us now as well. She does seem nice, Winston and Lucky recruited her, I know they have good instincts but” I sigh deeply grimacing. “I don’t know, there’s some weird feeling in me and I’m worried about what it could be and what it could turn into.”
“You’re scared that you like her?” Podcasts asks bluntly, “I just met her, there’s no way I have feelings already.'' I protest, “But, the way I’m feeling right now, is similar to how I felt when meeting Melody, but it's also different. I don’t understand it and I hate not understanding things.”
There was silence for a moment until Podcast spoke, “Well I don’t think you’ll understand what that feeling is for a good while. You two just met, there could be special feelings involved but you won’t know for sure for a while. I suggest just letting those feelings take their course.”
“Why didn’t I think of that,” I say out loud, Podcast patted my shoulder “That’s what I’m here for, being the voice of reason”
I walked into the firehouse after having a long talk with Podcast. I still don’t like the idea of unknown feelings and I am worried about feeling something for someone again but there isn’t anything I can do about it.
“Uno!” A collecting group of groaning was heard alongside a laugh.
I walk into the room to see My family playing Uno with y/n and Lucky. “How do you win so much, this is the fifth time” Trevor whined, putting his head on the table. “Magic” y/n says jokingly doing jazz hands, “I have two other card games that I think you’d like”
“Do you have ‘Frantic’ with you?” Lucky asked, but before she could answer the alarm went off, signalling there was a ghost loose causing havoc. “Hey Phoebs! Let’s go!”Mom said as she rushed off, Gary and Trevor following, “Hey y/n, we can start with the training when I get back” I called out to her, “Lucky and you could meet me at the Research Center after we bust this ghost” I say awkwardly shooting her some finger guns before turning around and walking away quickly, hoping the heat that I feel on my cheeks wasn’t what I thought it was and if it is then that they didn't notice.
Narrator’s POV;
Lucky and y/n cleaned up after themselves soon after and drove to the Paranormal Research Center. Y/n went to a changing room to put on her uniform. She walked out nervous, “Does it look okay?” She asked, Lucky turned around and gasped, “You look amazing!! Do a spin!” She asked excitedly while clapping. Y/n did as asked.
“It suits you perfectly!” She said hugging her friend. “Thank you, you’re too nice”  Lucky pulled away, “I bet when Phoebe sees you in it, her jaw will drop” Y/n rolled her eyes playfully “We’ll see about that. So while we wait why don't you update me on that new ghost you’ve been studying on”
Lucky’s smile widened, excited to share her new discoveries, she grabbed y/n’s wrist and dragged her to her working station.
Phoebe walked into the lab an hour later, fixing her hair from all the wind. She could see Lucky explaining something while y/n listened patiently, wearing her Ghostbusters uniform. Phoebe had to force herself to not stare for too long, so she walked up to the two of them. “And that’s why we had to make sure those two weren’t next to each other, I swear I couldn't focus properly the whole time”
“Hey there, sorry to interrupt your conversation, but are you ready for your first training session?” Phoebe asks, standing in front of them.“Yeah, I am! We’ll continue with our talk later” Y/n told Lucky before turning to Phoebe again who led her to the small training room. “The uniform suits you, not many can pull it off”
Y/n turned to look at Phoebe surprised, a small blush on her cheeks, “thank you, you look great in it too” she says, hoping that wasn’t too straightforward. “So, Winston said you have no prior experience”
Y/n nodded, “I have never used any of this equipment, correct.”
Phoebe crossed her arms nodding, “alright then, first thing first is to put the proton pack on, you can put it on normally like a backpack.” Y/n did as told, she let out a little grunt at the weight.” I knew they would be heavy but wow, now what next?” she asked excitedly.
“You hold this part, the particle thrower, you can also call it a particle gun” The new member did as told before looking at Phoebe again nodding. “Wait, can I show you something?” Phoebe asked, she got a nod as a response.
She stepped closer, only centimetres apart as she helped y/n hold it properly, putting her hands where they are supposed to be. “ See that ghost up there,” Phoebe asked, focusing on the task at hand, trying to ignore her own bubbling feelings. She was so busy that missed y/n staring at her face, a blush forming. “Yeah i-uh do” y/n responds, trying to focus as well.
She’s holding a dangerous weapon, she’s seen what they could do online, she needs to focus, she tells herself.  “Okay, I’m going to help you with this one and show you how to turn it on. Are you ready?” Phoebe asked, glancing at her, “Yes I am.”
“Okay you switch it on like this” Phoebe explained as she turned it on with y/n, “when you’re ready to shoot you press this button right here, on the count of three, ready?
Y/n took a deep breath in before answering “Ready”
“1” Phoebe starts, glancing at y/n.
“2,” She says tightening her grip, y/n tries to steady her breathing.
“3”
With that they shot at the ghost made out of wood, It falling apart in two. Y/n’s jaw dropped, “That’s how you’re going to practise, the actual thing takes longer and needs more strength but our priority is to perfect your aim for now, the charged particle accelerator is a weapon of science that can cause a lot of damage if used incorrectly and without proper practice.”
“First of all that was awesome” Y/n stated with a wide smile on her face, “two, I’ve heard of all of that, Lucky told me about some of your bigger damages. It’s impressive how something so dangerous can be something that helps so many people'' Y/n rambles, observing the damage with interest. While she was distracted Phoebe looked at all her features close up. She could feel her cheeks turning red from all the close proximity. She slowly pulled away crossing her arms, not knowing how to act.
“Well whenever you’re ready, you can start practising, I’ll be here the whole time, so if you need any help just tell me” Phoebe said while rubbing the back of her neck. Y/n nodded as another ghost came down, Phoebe didn't stray far, staying a few steps away just in case.
Y/n took a deep breath before shooting, hitting the wooden ghost on the side, she stumbled backwards, and Phoebe caught her in time, holding the particle thrower with her. “Okay that was your first time on your own and it went better than expected.”
“Better than expected?” Y/n asked embarrassed, “Yeah, you’re doing okay, try again, I’ll stay closer to catch you if that happens again okay?”
Outside of the training room, Lucky was observing their interactions with a small scheming smirk. “What are you smirking at?” Lars asked as he opened the spirit extractor, taking a spirit-free plushie out of it.
“No reason,” Lucky answered, ignoring the eyebrow raise of Lars, he shook his head and walked away to continue working.
The training went on until 5 pm, y/n was exhausted after all the trying, her arms sore, but it was all worth it, the thought of capturing ghosts excited her. Phoebe opened the door of the training room letting her out first, y/n nodded and muttered a small thank you as she walked out. “Keep this up and I think you’ll be ready to go out with me- “ she cut herself off quickly, trying to correct herself “I mean go out with us on missions soon.”
She tried not to look at y/n's face, she didn’t want to make it any more awkward.
As they were walking to the main doors, saying their goodbyes to the other workers, Lars called out “Y/n!”
The said person turned around to look at the scientist, “Lucky asked me to tell you that she’s going to come to visit and help out more with your room around 6 pm”
“Thank you, have a nice night!”
Phoebe bit her lip for a second before continuing with their walk, Gary was picking them up today. She looked at Y/n who was walking beside her. Did..she and Lucky maybe have something going on? She turned around quickly when she met eyes with y/n.
“I hope not,” Phoebe whispers to herself, “What did you say?” Y/n asked curious, Phoebe straightened her back, she opened her mouth to respond but nothing came out. Luckily for her, Gary appeared with the Ectomobile, saving her for now.
“Hey there you two! Are you ready to go home?” He asked with a wide smile.
They both got in the car and put their seatbelts on, the car ride back was quiet, the only background noise being the music playing on the radio.
The evening wasn't much different than last night, Phoebe disappeared to her room and didn’t come out until morning, leaving y/n slightly confused and worried.
Phoebe sat on one of the chairs at the kitchen island, drinking some coffee while tapping her pencil on the island, thinking, trying to calm down. The idea of having to be so close to y/n made her giddy and scared her at the same time.
She was worried she would make it awkward like last night if Gary didn’t appear when he did…
She sighed, putting her pencil and coffee down, putting her head in her hands, staring at the open notebook, full of scribbles, she couldn’t focus on her work. Her head was filled with images of last night, her heartbeat picking up remembering how close she was to y/n. She couldn’t lie, she missed the warmth of her hands underneath hers, they were soft. She let her mind wander, imagining how they would feel properly holding her hands.
“Phoebe, are you doing okay?”
Her hands slammed on the table making the coffee spill by accident, she turned to look at the newcomer. “Oh, hi,” Phoebe said brushing imaginary dust off of her shirt” Hi” she leaned on the island crossing her arms, sending y/n an awkward smile. “Hi”
In her head, Phoebe was cursing herself out, ‘three hi’s??’
Y/n glanced at the spilt coffee and then back to Phoebe, with a questioning look, before she could repeat the question, she got an answer.  “I’m doing okay, alright, doing great.” Phoebe cringed at her repetitive awner, Y/n walked closer, her face not changing. Phoebe put a hand underneath her chin, trying to act normal. “Are you sure about that? I called your name three times and you didn’t notice”
“I was thinking,” she answered quickly.
“May I ask what you were thinking about?”
“Science.”
Y/n blinked, staring at Phoebe, waiting for her to continue while Phoebe avoided her eyes at all costs. Deciding to change the subject, she pointed at the spilt coffee, “Do you maybe need help cleaning that or?”
Phoebe glanced at the spilt coffee before standing up and getting some paper towels to clean it up. “Right, right, you’re right”
“Alright then, I’ll go and..do a thing” Y/n said walking backwards before turning around to get ready for the day. “Oh good morning Trevor” and with that she disappeared up the stairs.
Phoebe cursed under her breath, “How much of that did you hear?”
“Oh you mean how much did I hear of your nervous rambling? Pretty much all of it” Trevor says casually, walking closer. “So, you and” he points his fingers behind him. “Ya know”
“There’s nothing going on” Phoebe defends throwing the paper towels away. “Nothing at all?”
“Nothing at all”
“Not even a smalllll thing” He pries, making his pointer finger and thumb almost touch. “Not even a small thing” Phoebe shrugs nonchalantly. Trevor nods, letting the silence settle before asking another question. “So, what science thing were you thinking about?”
Phoebe leans on the now clean island again trying to find the words, she sighed “I wasn’t actually thinking about science,”
“Then what?” Trevor interrupted. Phoebe sent him a glare before continuing “I was just thinking about all the things I could teach her today.”
“Y/n you mean?”
Phoebe nodded in response.
“Were you thinking about how close you’re going to be again today?” Trevor questions while picking out an apple from the bowl. Phoebe stood up straight but before she could retort, Trevor interrupted her “Lucky told me all about how close you were yesterday.” He informed Phoebe with a smirk on his face.
Steps were heard coming down the stairs, “We’ll continue this after your little date today” Trevor whispered. “Training” Phoebe corrected.
“Good Morning” Callie greeted, walking over to the coffee machine. “I need to get ready for the day,” Phoebe says, grabbing her pencil and notebook and heading off to her room.
“Did I miss something?” Callie asked her son, pouring herself a coffee in her favourite mug. “Not much” Trevor shrugged, taking a bite out of his apple.
The following days were filled with not only bettering y/n’s aim but awkward moments as well, or that’s what Phoebe thought, y/n thought her awkwardness was adorable. Phoebe also learned that Lucky, the traitor, was feeding her brother information daily about her and y/n’s interactions. Specifically the more ‘embarrassing’ ones.
Phoebe crossed her arms thinking, watching y/n put away the proton pack, “I think you’re ready to train with real ghosts”
Y/n turned around “real ghosts?”
“Real ghosts,” Phoebe repeated.
A wide smile appeared on y/n’s face, excitement prominent on her face.
The next day they were driven out to an open area. Trevor and Lucky stayed back in the car while they walked out. “The reason I want you to train with real ghosts before going on missions is so that you’ve trained with more than just a painted ghost made out of wood, some real experience. If anything happens I’ll be right here”
“I brought a few of the traps, they have different ghosts, you'll do one at a time of course. You’ll be the one busting it and I’ll be the one trapping it.” She explained as she put a trap on the ground, putting the foot pedal where they’ll be standing. “Are you ready?”
Y/n nodded confidently, raising the particle thrower, and turning it on.
In the blink of an eye, the ghost trap opened, and a big orange ghost appeared. Y/n cringed slightly at the look of it. When it noticed her she shot right at it, hitting it. She grimaced at the strength that was needed, it’s not as hard as she imagined but it’s not easy either. “Keep going, I'll wait a moment before trapping it, it usually takes a while for us to trap it after we caught it”
No response came back, y/n tried to focus on the ghost, and after a few seconds, the ghost was sucked into the trap.
“Good Job!” Phoebe sent a smile as she picked up the trap, “Oh my arms are going to be so sore tomorrow” y/n groaned.
“That’s the point of training, to improve your skills.” Phoebe reminds, “Oh really? I thought the point of all of this was to torture me” Y/n jokes, panting from what she just had to do. “I'll call it torture and you can call it training. Deal?
Y/n reached out to shake hands, Phoebe glanced at her hand before shaking it. “Alright then, deal.”
“Now this ghost is bigger, you ready?” Phoebe asked, putting a second trap down.
“Ready.” The sound of the proton pack turning on again was heard. A giant ghost appeared. Y/n immediately shot at it, gritting her teeth as she held it back.
“So, a photon is checking into a hotel” Phoebe starts speaking, y/n turns her head to look at her confused. She let out a small yelp as the ghost pulled harder, luckily for her it didn't break free.
“What-”
“Keep going,” Phoebe tells her, “I’ll start again, a photon is checking into a hotel”
Y/n looked back at the ghost, it was a feisty one. “So the bellhop asks, ‘Do you need help with your luggage?’”
Y/n sighed deeply, focusing on the ghost, she shot Phoebe a few glances, ‘Is..she telling a joke right now??’ “Towards that, the photon responds ‘No thanks, I’m travelling light’” She winks at Y/n.
It was silent for a moment until a snort was heard, “alright that one was good” She says snickering, “Please catch it now my arms are hurting” Phoebe did as told, it being sucked into the trap. The sound of the proton pack turning off was heard, and she sighed in relief. “It’s one of my favourite jokes,”  she explains picking up the trap. “I can see why, it's good, but why were you telling me jokes right now? Not that I mind.”
“When we’re on missions, there’s always chatter happening between us, maybe some bystanders, and I wanted to test if you could focus while being told a great joke.”
“So does this mean you’ll keep telling jokes during training?” Y/n asks, stretching her head. “Would you consider that a bad thing?”
Y/n looks at Phoebe, who is picking out a new trap, “I don’t think it's a bad thing, I like jokes and puns” she explains, she could feel a warmth creeping up her neck as she admired Phoebe underneath the sunlight. A small smile formed.
‘she’s so pretty’
“Well it’s good you don’t mind since I have many more” Phoebe says preparing for another ghost. Y/n looked away when Phoebe walked over. “Good to hear”
“How long do you think it’ll take until they start dating?” Trevor thought for a second before answering Lucky, ”eight maybe nine months max”
“I give it..three weeks, ”
“That’s quick”
“Look at them” Lucky points at the two outside of the car, training. Y/n was laughing after a joke Phoebe made, Phoebe stared at her with a smile, saying something they couldn’t hear from inside the car, but it had to be something funny considering the laughing wasn't stopping. “I bet you five bucks Phoebes using her jokes and unknowingly winning y/n over.”
“Five bucks?” Trevor asked, raising an eyebrow, “What? Five bucks is a lot in this economy” Lucky shrugged before putting a chip in her mouth.
“I think you’re ready to go on your first mission” Phoebe says, breaking the silence while they put away their gear.
“Really?” Y/n asks excitedly, “Yeah, you did very well.” Phoebe smiles softly, “Plus you think my jokes are funny, if you’re with us then it won't be just Gary laughing at them”
“Ah so my sucking up worked” Y/n jokes, “I don’t think that’s what happened, you seemed genuinely happy and were laughing quite a lot,” Phoebe tells her, leaning on the locker. “I am an amazing actor” Y/n explains, Phoebe leans closer so they're face to face, inches away from each other. “Oh no person is that good of an actor, you even turned red from laughing, come on admit it, my jokes are hilarious”
Y/n tried to act casual, a small part of her was happy that Phoebe didn't realise she was blushing because of her back there as well. Y/n hums, pretending to think, before answering “They were alright”
Phoebe raised an eyebrow making y/n put a hand on her mouth to not let a giggle out, “They were alright?”, Phoebe got a nod in return, “you’re lying” Phoebe reasons, “I’m not”
“You are”
“No”
“If you aren’t lying, then there shouldn’t be a smile behind that hand”
Y/N shakes her head, “Come on, remove it” Phoebe teases, she gets another shake of the head as a response, she could see y/n shaking slightly from holding in laughs. “Come on, let me see” Phoebe asks, grabbing Y/ns wrist softly, removing her hand to reveal a wide smile. “So you agree I’m funny.”
“Okay maybe you are” Y/n shrugs, just then realising how close their faces were to each other, her breath hitched, her eyes drifting to Phoebe’s lips for a second before returning to look into her eyes. Her wrist, where Phoebe was holding her felt warm, she resisted the urge to properly hold her hand. “You have a pretty smile” Phoebe whispered, lost in thought. ”It’s all thanks to you, being around you makes me happy” Y/n whispered back.
The only thing they could hear was the sounds of each other's breathing and their own heartbeats. They leaned it close, eyes trained on each other, lips almost touching but before anything could happen they heard the Ectomobile from outside. They pulled away quickly, realising what they almost did blushing.
Callie walked in backwards helping Gary park the Ectomobil. “Oh hey there, how was training?” Callie asked, curious. “It went great,” Phoebe answers, clearing her throat. Callie glanced between them both, noticing the tension, both of them were blushing, Phoebe rubbing the back of her neck and Y/n had her arms crossed, refusing to look at each other. Callie made an ‘oh’ face, realising what might have been happening before they came home.
“I have to go” Y/n says quickly, “so do I” Phoebe responds, they both try to go in the same direction, but they both stop before Y/n ushered Phoebe to go first, walking after her. “Lucky just might win that bet,” Trevor states, him and Gary entering as well. “What bet?” Callie questioned.
“Uhhh nothing” Trevor shrugs walking up to the apartment as well.

My Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Experience
First, I just want to say.... HOLY CRAP, I had so much fun! I have waited for this movie for so long, and while there are a few things that I were waiting for that didn't happen, it still lived up to the hype.
Spoilers under the cut.
So, my parents and I saw this in an MXC theater at our local Marquee. The seats were recliners that went back and forth with a button, and I loved that. But the sound system was... very loud. Let's just say, it's like if an audio version of 3D and THX had a baby. It was cool, but I didn't like that. And there were a lot more room in the aisles than their standard theaters.
The previews were surprisingly short, which was a relief. I have been waiting for this movie for MONTHS!
So, first, THAT CHASE SCENE AT THE BEGINNING!
It's no secret how much I love Callie, and seeing her as a Ghostbuster makes me so happy.
When Phoebe called her mother "Callie," my heart dropped a little and I just knew that we were in for a rocky ride.
Hearing that familiar staccato motif just put a smile on my face... which then turned into tears when Egon was mentioned.
But knowing that the music video for the title song is in-canon as well is fucking hilarious.
Ah, Dickless. I did NOT miss you.
Also, how did Peck get elected mayor? He is probably the most unlikable character in the Ghostbusters universe. But then again, a certain someone involved in many legal battles was elected President, so why should I question it?
I LOVE the domesticity of the firehouse scene; dinner, movie night, laundry, all the background.
Also, there's something hot about Callie wearing her flightsuit as pants with the top half tied up.
"GHOST DOG!"
"We both got some action." "Yeah, we did." Okay, already, this film has solidified my love for Callie and Gary as a couple. I am soft for them.
Gary trying to be tough and then apologizing instantly.
Callie Spengler laughs and it cleared my acne.
I know that they're trying to stop the containment unit from blowing, but PHYSICAL CONTACT!
Also, Callie is surprisingly BUFF. Can she hold me, please?
RAY STANTZ, MY SWEET BOY!
He's all but adopted Podcast, he just needs the paperwork.
"The hammer gets the views."
Honestly, I think the Stay-Puft company should just go defunct, with all of the paranormal shit.
JANINE, MY GIRL! SHE'S BACK!
Callie lounging on the couch, scrolling through her phone while sipping a drink is a whole ass mood.
Poor Trevor... but goddamn, it's still as funny now as it was forty years ago.
That longing look on Ray's face as the Ecto passed by the shop...
I did not have "Phoebe Spengler likes girls" on my bingo card for this movie, but... I love it.
Part 2 will be coming soon. I just don't think that I can fit in everything that I loved about this movie into one post.

Could you make a phoebe spengler x male reader headcanon plsss?
Dating Phoebe Spengler Headcanons
Tumblr media
You met when you had to call the Ghostbusters for some paranormal activity in your family’s home.
Phoebe was the one who responded.
She helped you realize it was a relative who wanted to say goodbye one last time.
Watching your relative ascend to the afterlife with Phoebe filled you with a bittersweet joy. It also intertwined you and her forever.
Turns out Phoebe has jokes similar to yours. While you’re not as intellectual as her, she appreciates your company.
You make her feel normal. Like she has someone who loves her for herself.
Dates include watching movies with her and her family, chess matches, studying the paranormal, hanging out at Rays Occult Store and grabbing a bite at the local bodega.
You and Phoebe are barely in high school so your PDA at this point is hand holding and hugging her tightly.
Phoebe was never one for PDA nor was she open with her emotions, until she met you.She loves giving you words of encouragement and affirmation.
Gary loved you immediately. It felt like he had a kindred spirit and someone he could totally see being an in law
Callie’s just glad that her daughter chose to date someone who isn’t a criminal or a ghost. She keeps an eye on you but you grow on her.
Trevor’s just glad he doesn’t have to listen to Phoebe’s terrible science jokes again.
Phoebe and you are Ghostbusters through and through, there’s no one else Phoebe wants by her side.

Ghostbusters: Soul Resurgence
Tumblr media
Chapter 2! I hope you guys are liking this story! If you haven't read it already, chapter 1 can be found here. As always, a big thank you to @phantomoftheparadise0002 for beta-reading this!
Summary: When the spirit of Sumerian sorceress Ahassunu, daughter of Vigo, possesses Alexis, the Ghostbusters must band together to determine the fate of the world
TW: Some language
Ray let out a deep sigh, blinking the tears from his eyes as the group around him continued to talk.
“Maybe her phone died! I don't know!” Gary's frantic voice arose from the crowd.
“Just stop with the dumb ideas, alright.” Peter said, holding up a hand to silence Gary.
“He's just trying to be helpful.” Callie stated calmly, trying to diffuse the tension in the room.
“Yeah, well, he's not.” Peter retorted.
Letting out a groan, Winston decided to put an end to this. “Alright, that's enough!” He shouted. “We can't be at each other's throat right now when Alex is out there somewhere.” Seeing Ray's reaction to his words, he added, “And we will find her and bring her home.”
As he finished, there was a knock at the firehouse door.
Pushing past everyone, Ray headed for the door, Peter not far behind. Opening the door, the group was met with the solemn face of the chief of police.
“Evening, Dr. Stantz. Dr. Venkman.” He nodded.
Nodding back and putting on a brave face, Ray responded, “Evening, officer. Any word on Alex?”
“You see, Dr. Stantz, that’s what I wanted to speak with you about.”
His words spread over the group like the first frozen wind of winter. The only noise in the Firehouse was the pained cry that left Janine, which was quickly silenced by Winston pulling her to him.
Ray took a deep breath, preparing himself for the worst. Over his shoulder, he saw Peter’s face quickly turn expressionless.
“If I wasn’t talking to a former Ghostbuster, I wouldn’t be too sure how to explain.”
“Well,” Peter encouraged, a strained fake smile on his face, “do your best.”
Letting out a breath, the officer began, “Well, there have been some reports regarding Alex. But they aren’t what we usually receive regarding a missing person.”
“What the hell’s that supposed to mean?” Winston asked, becoming angry at the officer’s stalling.
“If I may?” The officer asked, holding up a thumb drive and motioning to the computer that sat on Janine’s desk.
Janine nodded, wiping her tear-stained cheeks as she went to the computer and logged in.
Pulling up the files, the officer stood back as he clicked on the first.
Crowding around the computer, the team watched in confusion and horror as they saw a being obliterate buildings with a single blast from their hand, gasping when a face came into view.
“Tha, b, b, that’s-” Janine stuttered.
“Alex.” Ray finished, his tone exuding nothing but seriousness.
The group turned to him in shock.
“But how?” Gary asked. “It’s physically impossible for a human being to do something like that with their bare hands.”
“Possession, Mr. Grooberson. Plain and simple.” Ray stated matter of factly. “Just before she disappeared, Alex was contacted by Janine, who informed her of a ghost that needed to be taken care of. It’s safe to assume that the ghost she was going to capture is the one who possessed her.”
“And who would that be?” Peter asked sardonically.
Ray looked down. “I don’t know, Peter.”
Giving him a look, Peter walked away from the group.
“Thank you, officer.” Winston said, shaking the man’s hand. “If it’s at all possible, could you leave these recordings with us?”
The officer nodded.
As he left, Peter ran a hand over his face.
“Possession! That’s the first thing that comes out of your mouth!” He screamed, walking towards a sullen Ray. “Oh, we’re the Ghostbusters so the only plausible explanation for anything is possession.” His tone became mocking.
“Peter.” Dana pleaded as Ray avoided eye contact.
“No! We need an explanation that’s more plausible than possession!”
“And what would that be?” Winston asked, angered, causing Peter to end his assault on Ray. “Psychokinetic slime under the city?! Or how ‘bout a god with her dog henchman who has the power to summon anything we think of to destroy the city?!” He sighed. “Face it, Peter, nothing like this has a plausible explanation.”
Peter made a face, letting out a snort of derision.
“Winston’s right, Peter. And you know it.” Dana placed a hand on Peter’s shoulder.
“This just needs to be something we can fix.” He huffed. “We have no experience in possession.”
“I have an idea.” Phoebe chimed in.
The group turned to face the younger Spengler.
“The machine at the Paranormal Research Center. The one you guys use to separate the ghosts from the objects they're possessing.”
Winston's eyes went wide.
“It was able to separate my spirit from me. It's worth a shot.”
“Absolutely not!” Winston shouted. “Phoebe, that machine nearly killed you.”
“Zedd.”
Winston turned to where Ray had shrunk away to.
“It's the only idea we have.”
“And how do you suppose we do that, Ray? Whatever's got Alex in its grasp just blew up a New York High Rise with a wave of its hand. I doubt it'll volunteer to step into a machine that'll separate it from her.”
“We'll use our proton packs.” Ray said, becoming hopeful.
“We've only used those on apparitions, never on people who've been possessed.” Winston retorted.
“It's worth a shot.” Peter sighed, feeling a bit hopeful himself.
The team looked at one another, waiting for another possible suggestion. When none came, they split off to put on their jumpsuits and grab their gear.

Let It Snow

A/N : GHOST GRANDPA EGON  who can materialize as a human cause why not!
"They should be here any minute..." Alexandra gasped, sitting by the window of her Manhattan apartment. Snow was falling against the window, and as she looked around, the love of the holidays and Ray's decorating shone through. "Everyone be calm... I want Callie and Trevor and Phoebe to feel at home and-" Winston placed his hand on her shoulder, "I've never seen you so erratic since your wedding day." he chuckled, wearing a Santa hat and an ugly Ghostbuster Christmas sweater handmade by Janine. "I just want everything to be perfect..." she sighed, shooting a glare at Peter, who had his fingers inside her infamous sweet potato pie. "What, I can't resist it..." he laughed as Dana shook her head at her still childlike husband. As the door creaked, opened Alexandra's eyes began to light up like a demon dog searching for the Key Master until it was just.
"Adisa!" Ray hugged her, "I see you brought Erin, Abby, Patty, an-" "My Fiance Jullian Uncle Ray." she giggled as Ray hugged them all, welcoming them into the party of the ages, "We're not staying long, uncle Ray. " We're on standby." Patty sighed, "Don't ghost ever sleep for the holidays!" "NO!" everyone shouted from the corners of the apartment. But still there sat back by the window was Alexandra, her mind wandering off to what could've happened if they took the wrong taxi or maybe their flight got delayed. Or worse, they got slimed, and a few ghosts ate them. A familiar cold presence graced her. Sitting next to her was Egon, his hair still defying gravity while his ghastly blue hand, now pale, reached out to hers. "And where have you been." her eyes glued to the window. "Well, hypothetically hell, theoretically Ray's closet filled with ugly holiday sweaters..." he sighed, watching as his wife laughed at the hideous glowing no ghost sign on his sweater,  "Tell me does it sing? " Alexandra asked as Egon peered through his glasses, "It's Ray's, what, do you think."  the two sharing a short laugh.
"Sorry, we're late!"  Callie announced, "Hope you don't mind, I invited Gary with us..." "More, the merrier !"  Adisa smiled, "The love birds are back at the window." Winston pointed his fork stuck into the baked ham.   "Did you make the crunch bar and Twinkie cake..." "Of course I di-" "Grandma Grandpa!"  Both Phoebe and Trevor ran up to the pair hugging them by the waist. "You've grown since June!" Alexandra laughed, hugging Trevor, "I know, I uh I've been working on this sick guitar rift and..." "Tonight after the party, you can show me all you want!" she smiled as Phoebe waited patiently for her turn. Both Egon and Alexandra  smiled, waiting as Phoebe opened her mouth to speak, "Why was the snowman scared to travel during winter," "I don't know why..." Egon asked. "Because of global warming." she cracked a smile as  Egon erupted with laughter, Alexandra's heart-melting by the interaction.  Leaving them to their own dry humorous devices, Alexandra had made her way towards Callie and Gary,  conversing with Adisa and Janine.
"You've got a lovely home... Sorry, we didn't bring anything or-" Alexandra hugged Callie, "You didn't have to. having you all here is enough." she smiled, "Besides, we threw this party for you all... We didn't know if you celebrated Christmas or Hanukah or didn't believe, so we just decorated accordingly." Callie looked around at the tensile and the tree,  her eyes tearing up, "You didn't have to do this, Mrs. Alexandra ..." "We're family." Alexandra giggled, "And call me mom." she hugged her, "Mr. Grooberson, nice to see you're enjoying the cake." "You gotta give me the recipe!" he said through a stuffed mouth. As the party died down and most everyone had returned home, all that was left was Ray Winston and, of course, the Spengler family. Gary sitting next to Callie, the two sharing small glances at each other, much like Egon and Alexandra used to do.
"Am I expecting a wedding anytime soon?" Alexandra blurted out as both Callie and Egon's eyes had gone wide. "Oh no... Gary and I are just friends, who uh ..." "Saw each other naked during the battle of Zuul..."  Trever mumbled as Gary nearly spit out his hot chocolate,  "You did what..." Egon asked, much like a concerned undead father would, "If I still had my lab, I'd test you for any possible diseases or..."   "Don't mind him..." Ray laughed, his eyes glancing back at Egon, "They were just as oblivious..."  he chuckled.
"To what?" Phoebe asked, looking up from playing chess with Egon, Egon only shaking his head. "Yeah, to what Trever asked as Winston gave a nice warm chuckle. "Their emotions... " Winston laughed,
"It was December 1984, a few months after stay puff New York was just about to be hit by a blizzard."
Alexandra sighed, sitting in the back of Ecto - 1 next to Egon, "Who knew that Ectoplasm could freeze in thin air."  Peter mentioned breaking up the silence of the ride. "Who knew that you'd be so stupid as to egg on the ghost to give ya freezin slime..." Alexandra shivered, Egon sneaking his arm around her waist to try to keep her warm. "Mhmm Well, me Ray and Winston are gonna wash up like men do and stop by that new Chinese place." Peter mentioned, eyes focused on Egon's hand, "Get me anything that comes with a soup, and what about you, Egon." Alexandra blushed as he looked down at her, "What about what?" "Food..." "You know Egon Rarely eats." Ray joked while Egon sighed, "Speng, you gotta eat, get him the usual." her brown cheeks turning red from the harsh cold, Alexandra cared deeply for Egon both as a friend and as a,
"If you're not going with us, then kindly step out of the car," Peter smirked, catching the glares of the two. The firehouse stood decorated in garland and lights dusted in snow. "Well... We should probably shower to keep warm, you know..." Alexandra stated as the two stood outside, her fingers growing numb. "Could persevere more water if we showered together," Egon mentioned as the Firehouse Garage door closed behind them. Alexandra had pretended to ignore his statement, removing her flight suit and hanging it up into its cubbyhole; her eyes had averted to Egon's.
"Is something wrong..." "Oh no... I  was thinking of something..." "About..." he turned to face Alexandra, his slender frame leaning against his cubby. "Your statement is that water wasted at large amounts per second... I don't see why not," she mentioned tying her hair up.
"Then what did you do..." Callie asked, "I mean, it's a firehouse. everything should be working ..." "Not exactly ... ice got into several of the pipes, freezing them except one." Winston shrugged, "It's an old Firehouse..." "Sounds like a Fanfic trope to me..." Gary mumbled, "But continue..." Both Alexandra and Egon sighed as she started the story back up, "So as the snow starts falling,  I start getting colder... Anemia, you could say."  Egon shook his head, "Could've  prevented that  if you had taken iron pills." both Ray and Winston agreed, "The dead preaching to the living..." she kissed his cheek as he became bashful.
"You're being shy with me, aren't you, Spengs..." Alexandra asked, discarding her flannels outside of the shower, " No... I'm not." Egon rebutted, " his eyes to the ground. "Who's idea was it..." she singsonged, hearing him sigh, "Mine..."  Egon replied, a bit annoyed, stepping into the steaming hot water. His eyes began to adjust to the close view that was Alexandra. Her body was more relaxed, and it was everything Egon thought it to be sculpted by God himself.  But he had to push those thoughts aside and-
"Welp, as my father always said, When a woman showers with a man, she lays down with him. Whatever that means." She rolled her eyes at the statement as Egon blinked, "I think he meant that as Peter would..." he mumbled, a  smirk on the woman's lips,
"You don't say..."  Alexandra chuckled, "It would keep us warmer... in this blizzard..." her eyes averted to the window, snow falling fast and thick, sticking to everything it could touch. "Is that so..." Egon asked as if he didn't already know that.
"Maybe, of course... there's someone I'd like to experiment on that Theory with," Alexandra hinted. Egon sighed, knowing that she possibly couldn't have meant him. For all, he knew it could've been Peter.
"Oh yeah, it definitely could've been me," Peter smirked as Alexandra groaned, "Never in a white dwarf sun, Peter." she rolled her eyes as Phoebe and Gary laughed at the joke. Trevor sat in confusion, much like his mom, Peter and Winston. "A white dwarf sun is 15 billion years old, Trevor." Phoebe nodded, "It's a play on never in a billion years." she winked at her grandfather as he winked back. "That's a Spengler, oh uh hot chocolate, anyone? Ray asked, taking a sip of his own out of his Ray's Occult bookshop mug. Callie smiled as she raised her hand,
"Does it have the little marsh-" "After the bust of 84, we uh don't say the M-word..." Winston sighed, "Had that stuff in places, it shouldn't be."  Alexandra chuckled, "At least you didn't have to stay at Egon's for him to take strands of your hair to test it." she laughed, "I thought you wanted to stay," Egon questioned as Alexandra kissed his hand. "Of course I did. I always will." Gary looked over at Callie as she focused on her father, the admiration he had even after death was comforting, odd that he was even here but comforting. As the snow fell harder and Peter and Winston, and Ray had left, there sat Callie wrapped up in a blanket next to Gary.
"I wonder how that story was going to end..." "Probably the usual ..." "And what was that going to be, Mr. Grooberson." Gary leaned in close, his hand on her cheek until
THWAP!
"Who the hell threw a book on sexual diseases at me..." "DAD!!!"
