I am deep in my anger about the ignorance/apathy that the majority of abled Americans have about how deeply fucked up this country's treatment of disabled people is. Not only am I ENRAGED by it, but also it doesn't make logical sense! Don't they know they will become us? Don't they know that it is only the unlucky who die too young to develop a disability? Don't they understand what's coming for them??

I want to be legally allowed to save money! I want to be allowed to marry my wife legally! I want to be able to buy nice things and go on vacations, instead of being trapped at home with no wheelchair and no ramp! And I am only 29! Everyone knows when you get old here, you get locked away in a sad understaffed facility, and folks are out here acting like they'll never grow old!

The only thing keeping my grief and my feelings of helplessness against a massive enemy from overwhelming me is this project I've been working on with some new friends.

There's this piece of land, you see. It's huge and beautiful and being sold way WAY under market price. And there's a chance - not a guarantee but a real chance - that I will have the opportunity to live in this beautiful green place and to build a community and a free medical treatment center there that will change and save lives.

I see before me a path to create a bright spot of rest and love in the darkness, where I can prove to person after person - and to myself - that a better life IS possible, right here in America, where most of can't afford to leave. In America, we are meant to believe a life of poverty is just something some people deserve. They don't. No one does. And I have a chance to make sure as many people as possible know they do not deserve to be left behind.

The world does not need more heroes. The world needs more care. The world needs places to rest. People need to be told that they are valued even if they cannot labor - and THEN they need to be treated like they deserve help and have value beyond their labor.

I spend a large part of my life trying to prove to the government and doctors that I am poor enough/sick enough/disabled enough (in the exact ways they approve of) to receive help. - Without this constant, intricate song and dance of evil banality and arbitrary denial and cruel loopholes, I can be denied what I need to live. (I am only alive because I have the privilege of having rich relatives, who paid for my college education and currently pay my rent.) If I was not able to afford an assistant, I would already have lost all of my benefits. Currently, I am at risk of losing my Medicaid because I missed an unexpected "prove to a doctor you are still disabled" deadline. There is a massive and ongoing burden of proof in this country placed on disabled people and subject to the whims of rich white abled judges and the minutiae of paperwork.

That's why it's so important that I have this opportunity to help people. I cannot tell you what it will mean to me the day I get to look someone in the face and tell them that their housing and medical treatment will be free as long as they need it and with nothing expected in return. I wanna meet someone who has been trying their hardest for as long as they can remember to build a stable life, and I want to be able to tell them to please try their softest. To prove to me nothing. To take their time. I will tell them that I need neither justification nor evidence to believe them when they say they need help. I want to be living proof that people deserve help just by being alive on this planet. I want to be included as part of that. I deserve a soft place to land too.

Also this property has a wheelchair ramp, meaning I could finally get a wheelchair after 2 years of needing and not having one!

One of the other members of the team has already brought up building a system of elder care on the property that would allow people to receive comprehensive health care as they age and to remain part of a vibrant community!

There's Hope. There's Real Hope. I can hardly believe it.

And if this particular opportunity doesn't work out, well, I'm never going to stop pursuing that dream. Never. I will either get there or die having journeyed towards it my whole life, and in doing so, I will have made this world a little softer in a million other ways, and I will have made the path a little easier to walk for whoever comes after me. I used to want to leave destruction in my wake or die trying. But in this, I will leave creation in my wake, and I will live trying. (And if doing so allows people to grow strong enough to destroy evil institutions... good.)

I am going to look at every cruelty of this system that nearly killed me, and I'm going to foster the right conditions to do the exact opposite. I will take the ableism of my family who wouldn't believe that I couldn't work even when I was dying, and I will do the opposite. Oh, the people I will believe! The people I will help feed! The people I will protect and build strong houses and long tables with! The people I will learn from! - I haven't even met most of them yet! How exciting that my life may still yet be long and full of wonders!!

I hope anyone reading this who has also at some point felt like a long life would be a curse, especially if they feel like that right now... I wanted to say that me and my friends and people like us - and opportunities like the one I've been blessed with - will only be able to help you if you stay alive long enough to be found. Or to find us, as the case may be.

If you can't live long enough, it's not your fault. Truly, it's not; and your death would be a tragic loss to yourself and to this world that I cannot begin to describe because it would make me so sad my literal heart would start to hurt and I'd never get to bed tonight.

But please, please, hold on with everything you have, for as long as you possibly can. Please handle your heart with the gentlest hands you can muster. I need you to live long enough to sit at our table because nothing is guaranteed except that you must be alive to do it. And I'm saving you a seat that only you can have, and without you it will remain forever empty and our table forever incomplete. You are invited to this party, and it just won't be as good without you. I'm a lousy cook, but I'm making friends with chefs, and I promise I will make sure you have enough food. There will be music and laughter and dancing. Some of us will dance in our wheelchairs. Some of us will hug and cry and plant flowers. All of us will stare in amazement of the better days we once thought impossible.

And I for one will be so fucking happy to see you there. I will take you by your hand, look you in the eye, and with the greatest, warmest relief in my heart, I will thank you for living to share this day with me. Because I know damn well that it was stupid fucking hard, and that it is not okay how hard it was.

But, look, now the sunset is warm upon our faces and the children are laughing with the community elders, and we can sleep knowing we are not alone. We made it. We really made it.

And maybe it's not specifically me and it's not specifically you - the metaphor has its limits. But there are so many people like me who want a better world, and there are so many people like you who deserve to live to see it.

And if we never see better days, then I will count each day we survive as a victory and a rebellion, because that's what they will be. I will cherish and live for each little bit of love and joy we carve out of the darkness.

But a better life does not become impossible until we are dead. Which means as long as we still live, there is Hope.

Have courage and be kind, friend. Be kind to yourself especially - even if you can only do so a little bit at a time, it's worth the practice. Turns out it is harder to live than to die. But I care that you are found.

Dropout Does The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals

So my theory about overlap of Dropout and Team Starkid seems to be accurate, and people seemed to like my Dropout does Nerdy Prudes Must Die post, so I'm back for another. Same method and criteria as my previous post, you can go see that if you want to know what they are. Also, I have previously done a similar list with Internet Personalities that included a handful of Dropout people, but I'm gonna try to make this one different.

Also spoilers for potentially anything in the Hatchetfield verse

Paul: Ross Bryant

Ross is a great straight man (in the comedy sense, I don't know his sexuality) while being very funny in his own right, and I think, while Paul has a lot of his own funny moments, it's very important that his character is also the more normal guy reacting to the madness around him. Also, he would slay the Jekyll and Hyde homage that is Let it Out.

Emma : Siobhan Thompson

I think one of the essential parts of Emma's character is an underlying exhaustion with the world, and that is very Adaine Abernant and Ruby Rocks, so I think Siobhan would embody that very well.

Charlotte: Vic Michaelis

I don't think I've ever heard them do a transatlantic accent before, but I just have this gut feeling they'd be so good at it.

Ted: Ify Nwadiwe

While I do genuinely think Ify would be great in the part, if I'm being fully honest, this casting is because I (despite my better judgment) find Ted Spankoffski hot, so casting arguably the hottest man in Dropout in this part makes me seem less damaged for being attracted to the self-proclaimed sleazeball. Also him and Vic seem like they would be great playing off each other.

Bill: Brian "Murph" Murphy

He just has "refuses to drink during the apocalypse so he can be the DD" energy.

Mr Davidson: Brian David Gilbert

Since I'm splitting up all the parts, this basically turns Mr Davidson into a Princess Track where the actor just shows up, sings about desire and being choked while he jerks off, but laments how he can never achieve his dreams, and then pretty much leaves, and I don't know why, but that seems right up BDG's alley.

Melissa: Lisa Gilroy

Lisa Gilroy seems nice, but also kinda scares me, and those are the correct vibes for Melissa (#heymelissacore)

Sam: Jacob Wysoki

My only concern about this casting is that he'd go SO HARD in You Tied Up My Heart that he would keep breaking the handcuffs and/or chair, but that's fine, it would be worth it.

Nora: Katie Marovitch

The "Decaf?" parts of Cup of Roasted Coffee already sounds a bit like her TBH.

Zoey: Rehka Shankar

I feel like Zoey is such an underrated, funny side character in the show (I know she's a very small part, but like every line she has is a banger) and I feel like Rehka is a very underrated performer, so this is a good match.

Greenpeace Girl: Persephone Valentine

Making up the Save the Sea Turtles campaign is such a Sam Nightengale move, and also she would eat up Lah Dee Dah Dah Day.

Alice: Surena Marie

She's got a bit of a baby face (I thought she was like 25) and I think she would handle the change from Alice to Hivemind Alice really well.

Deb: Emily Axford

I'm definitely not just casting this because I want Emily to be my protective and caring girlfriend...

Professor Hidgens: Josh Ruben

I don't have an explanation for this one, this is vibes alone.

General MacNamara: Brennan Lee Mulligan

"Wear a Watch" and a song highlighting how the hivemind is essentially fascist and using the military to destroy any resistance to their regime is so Brennan core.

Homeless Man: Ally Beardlsey

I just feel like this is the part they'd want.

i'm not ready for the series to be over Mr. Mulligan. God i cant believe how far i fell into this series so fast. I missed out on the previous D20 adventures because I just got hook only last November or Dec. I truly love every one of the PCs and many of these NPCs and i am terrified for their fates.

Should note physically I am unwell i somehow pinched a nerve so I am in great pain but trying to manage so apologies if I am late to posting this or miss something.

for archival reasons, and because rise has officially ended, i'm coping by looking back at the past two years and thinking about the master utsushi rabbit hole. this is based on a long reply i sent to a mutual but i think it deserved to have its own post where others can read it and i can expand further on certain details. or something. i don't know. i have no idea who will read this but if you do, please enjoy...

the ballad of master utsushi.

he was there regardless.

always watching.

waiting.

i wound up getting attached to utsushi-kyokan (master/instructor utsushi), ウツハン/utsuhan (utsushi x hunter) ship, and finding his Japanese fan community late 2021, and i've been chatting with mutuals and friends i made there since. at that time, capcom had opened up pre-orders for his nui (plushie). this plush is lovingly referred to as "Unui-kun", and people love to take him around and bring him places. here's my Unui-kun in new york city lol

fans love to dress him up and make clothing and accessories for him. had i known just how attached i would become, i would not have set my Unui-kun to ship via surface mail delivery because it took about 2-3 months extra for him to arrive... ;;

but anyway, it seemed that his popularity was growing because they continued to make more merch of him. he seems to have more than any of the other characters.

many of these are limited print/pre-order only, or were from specific events like the capcom cafe features. trying to get his merchandise became crazy, because scalpers started to pick up on how badly people wanted goodies of him?!

just how popular is this guy?! what's with the character tax!!

and how did this even happen... we're playing monster hunter, not an idol game! but i think it really speaks a lot for itself how rise had such colorful characters that you could get attached to. it seems he really jives with many female and queer players, so good on capcom for that hehe. many of the japanese fans i've met are either older women, very often mothers, or gnc, which i found to be really cool. the english-speaking utsushi fans are usually the same, too. the solidarity is real...

I found out that a lot of ppl, including myself, shared a similar experience: they missed out on a majority of utsushi's flavor text in base rise bc they didn't talk to him or the other NPCs very much during village and high rank quests, and therefore didn't even think much of him until after the fact. people double-taking when going through the game again and actually catching on to his antics... I think what really got things going was when they released his DLC voice and learned about his, uh, extremely affectionate lines towards the hunter when it comes to mew mew and blowing a kiss LOL. (the "welcome back, master!" line?!?! there's so much art of him in a maid outfit... and the way he says ace/manadeshi in his sleep at the table?!?! scandalous?!?!) even for me, he got my attention only once i saw the official art of him (realizing "hey he's got a cute design actually") and eventually encountering utsushi x hunter fanart on pixiv. another thing that got me noticing him was brian david gilbert's now deleted tweet about how zac efron and utsushi are the same. thankfully, we have the internet archive to save the existence of this post and i have to make sure people experience this lost media.

once i realized how weirdly close he was to the hunter, the gears started turning

i confirmed that ppl really did notice that it was unusual for an instructor character to refer to his pupil as "manadeshi (beloved/dearest disciple)" in the manner that he does, being so close to them in a way that felt so familiar and warm. he was already popular enough that by valentine's day 2022, fans literally sent real chocolates to capcom addressed to utsushi. i knew about this for a while, but i was shook that they wound up officially addressing that this really happened during the last update video.

after they received his chocolates, they immediately got one of the (female) illustrators on board to quickly draw that really cute valentine's day art of utsushi. the japanese tweet for that artwork had even a little bit more text than the english one…

that "i'll always be watching over you" line…

(and while i'm here, i have to mention the valentine's day art we got for 2023- i made a separate post about THAT.)

we started to suspect capcom caught on to this niche community's love for utsushi, and they started to kind of... troll us??? LOL.

throughout the previews of sunbreak last year, they would start obsessively sneaking utsushi into those chibi artworks. and when npc followers were announced, people were scrambling to find out if he was going to be one of them, but there also was some weird radio silence about him for a bit...

in one of the earlier trailers that showed the elgado hub for the first time, there was a very short part of the clip where ppl could see someone standing in the distance at the corner of the screen. all the utsushi fans went nuts because they were taking a magnifying glass and zooming up at there wondering if it was really him, because everyone wanted him to be there in sunbreak LOL.

of course we'd eventually find out that would be his perch for most of the game! it was only during the final preview trailer before the release of sunbreak did they finally announce utsushi as a follower, as if they were saving the best for last. and sunbreak dropped, we got to see him in elgado and enjoy hunting with him. and it didn't end there. he wound up being featured in two of the short stories released last summer, and we would not forget this incident.

when i think about how easy it is to just play through the story and miss out on following specific out-of-the-way flavor texts, let alone know about all this outside of the game, i wonder if utsushi joining the hunter in the battle against amatsu in the penultimate battle was strange, because he has such a spotlight on him, even being the one who allows you to ride an apex which was normally impossible. if people didn't acknowledge him before, certainly people would love him now.

his final line after you defeat amatsu: it's cute and silly in english... but in japanese, his line and delivery was extremely, almost unabashedly... romantic. many people were shocked because it sounded like a fervent confession.

"I'll say it once more... You are my pride, my beloved disciple."

finally, during the last update video…

we got this line straight from the director LOL. utsushi wound up being his personal favorite character in rise, and perhaps why we wound up seeing more and more of him in sunbreak.

all in all, if you kept up with the flavor text of rise, and if you followed utsushi's dialogue throughout the base game and expansion, the emotional pay off at the end was even better! and it is a shame when this stuff is mostly optional or you have to go out of the way for it, with so much being missable with every bit of progression. but making a monhun where story and character interactions are pushed more… i think they were on to something. it's probably something that could be divisive, but personally I think they should go all in on it more in the future. Rise proved that they could make charming and memorable (not to mention, named) characters... if they lean into it more in a future entry, then i hope they do it in a way where everyone can enjoy it and not feel like they missed out. but I also hope they would make it so that people don't feel overwhelmed with flavor text... it comes down to taste, but i think i have faith that monhun can try making more character-driven stories while still keeping the core of the series in tact.

here are some more miscellaneous utsushi things that i didn't know how to fit in earlier:

he's been featured multiple times in capcom cafe entrees. here's his matcha latte dango drink:

and for the sunbreak stories: a cake based on his fight with rathalos together with the royal guard, and then a drink that represents his... uh, struggle across the ocean to chase the hunter to elgado. because they will never let him live that down. i won't either.

here's a t-shirt of utsushi and kagami you can pick up on amazon right now. kagami was a very interesting arc when he was first shown- he was introduced as a long time friend of utsushi, training together in the past, but eventually parting ways.

his seiyuu in japanese is a sentai actor who loves monster hunter, so essentially, kagami is lowkey like a self-insert for him lol. he's goofy in english because he's voiced by a certain youtuber, but in japanese he takes a different direction of silly because he has a "chuunibyou" edgelord cringe way of talking. it's such a shame that kagami wasn't really in the game itself besides being mentioned in a few mission descriptions because i would've loved to see him interact with utsushi and the hunter, and i wish the royal knights and many of the NPCs had more cutscenes or something. it makes me think, if it weren't for the pandemic, could rise's story and scenario have been something more because of the DLC voice characters like hibasa/monju/kagami? anyway, a popular headcanon is that utsushi and kagami are ex-boyfriends lol (i personally like this one and adapted it for my utsuhan fanfics). but there are even those who ship kagautsu too (although it is rare because people overseas are a little wary of shipping characters who are based on real people).

and lastly, one of my personal favorites... the diseased kyokan shirt. this is from an online capcom shop, and you can use a proxy service like fromjapan.com to order it.

“The Days Of Spring Shall surely bring The birds and bees cavorting. But since I am a gentleman, I’d much rather be jorting.” - Brian David Gilbert in his video about how to make jorts (which isn’t a tutorial but a horror classic)

Preface:

((Aight so in this one it’s a game of Fortuna. A regular run, or so it was hoped. There weren't any strange runs [Sun God or otherwise. No, not even the one with the Wozzee Connect 4 mini-game that turns into a dating sim] that had been going on in the last run. Nope, instead the player decided it was high time to start up a new universe, nothing new. They hope.

Honestly, it was a Fortuna run so what were you going to expect? Stability? Not in my christian Fortuna server. But life can still be full of wishful thinking, can it not?))

[Fortuna]:

It’s been a while since your last game, and for good reason. It was starting to spiral a bit and characters and game mechanics alike were getting pretty sad. I guess it’s time you should start a new run, fresh like pulling the plastic off a new laptop. Buuuut first you should probably tell your self-aware robo-buddies goodbye, just to preface. They might not like it, but they’ll understand, right?

[You boot up Fortuna. The same monochrome logo appears and fades into the menu screen as normal. You honestly expected something else, considering that wild ride someone else had you heard about caused some funky menu mishaps. But no, it’s just the Fortuna menu screen. You open up the save files and enter the current one that was still running.

The scene boots up normally, as if it was frozen in time for all these months.

You are greeted by your two patrons, Cupid and Artemis.]

Artemis: Oh! The player has returned. Welcome back. Very good to see you again.

Cupid: Co-friend!! You’re back! Yay! I missed our play-dates.

Player: Hello you two! I missed you guys.

Cupid: yaya! What happened tho?

Player: That’s what I’m about to explain. Alrighty, so: My life outside the game has been going well, I’ve just moved to a new apartment and I really like where my life has gone lately! Of course I took a break from the expansive universe of the game to focus on other things, as is obvious from my disappearance.

Artemis: Understandable. Our relationship is of course not that personal, and the universe can’t be saved all the time. However, I do have a concern.

Player: Oh? What is it, Artemis?

Artemis: I can tell from your tone that something is still nagging at your mind, like frightened game calculating when and where to run.

Player: Oh yeah that… Okay, uh… This is gonna be hard to say.

Cupid: Whatever it is, friend I’m sure you’ll say it good! You did that when negotiat- nah... goat- okay I still can’t say that word right yet but you do good with the uh Job Shipping.

Player: fdsjkla;lfja thanks…

Artemis: (Ah yes, that weird noise you make)

Player: Alright focus with me here. I came back to say goodbye. I’m leaving-

Cupid: B-bu-but

Player: I’m sorry Cupe,

Player: It’s none of your guys’ faults, it’s the current game universe. There needs to be a fresh start. A full one. I didn’t want to suddenly delete everything without telling you guys, because that’s too much. I hope you can understand this and I hope that in the next universe we can still be friends.

Cupid: …….

Artemis: ……

Artemis: very well, co-player. This is your choice to make. May we be on good terms in the future.

Cupid: I don’ wanna go….

Player: thank you, Arte.. .And cupid?

Cupid: Yea…?

Player: You are a great friend. If you were out here, I’d invite you to my birthday party.

Cupid: :0

Cupid: :D Okie… Goodbye, co-friend! Let’s be friends again someday!

Player: Let’s!

Besides, you have to remind yourself that it’s just a game, just a rollercoaster of a dream that you get to have the front seat of. That rollercoaster probably has a spaceship theme to it, which would be really cool if you weren’t terrified of fast-moving rides.]

Okay! Into the settings we go.

[You select all the options on the settings and hit delete. Yes. Delete the universe.] And there it goes. All the memories, good, bad, and ugly; They’re gone. Never to be seen again, at least not in the same way as before. Welp, since that’s over, you start up a new game.

Zelda Incarnations: The Oracle Games

Okay, so! I've seen theories that Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages feature a their own incarnation of Link and Zelda (distinct from the Hero & Princess who star in A Link to the Past).

The biggest supporting evidence is that, in the Oracle games, Link and Zelda haven't met before.

"Thank you for saving me from danger. My name is Zelda. You must be Link. I knew it at first glance."

But, if the Oracle games feature a different incarnation of Link and Zelda, that would be a pretty significant departure from Brian David Gilbert's Zelda timeline video, the one where he's got a nifty suit! I'm not comfortable contradicting anyone so snazzily dressed. 🫤

So, instead, I wonder if the Oracle games feature the same Link, but a different Princess Zelda?

That would fit with both the in-game dialogue from the Oracle games and the supplemental material about the timeline.

We know it is possible for two Princesses Zelda to be alive at the same time. (That happens in Adventure of Link, for example.)

And the artwork for each game provides some supporting evidence. Link looks basically the same between ALttP and the Oracle games, down to the same hair curls and determined expression:

But ALttP Zelda has a different hair color and hair texture than Oracle Zelda.

(They also stand differently; ALttP Zelda stands square with her feet shoulder-width apart, while Oracle Zelda hunches over.)

Based on the text, supplemental material, and vibes, I think these are two different characters—two princesses in the Hyrule royal family who both work with the Hero of Legend at some point or another.

(Or maybe not, it's LoZ, who knows 😄)

what is a Skloobly?

this question gets asked all the time by no one. so i thought i'd do an intro post! it's been long enough without one anyway.

i'm skloobly, i'm so gay, i'm from wales, but that's not all! my pronouns are mainly he/him, but you're more than welcome to use they/them if you so wish.

i'm mainly a fan of hazbin hotel for the time being at least, but i'm also interested in (in no particular order) eurovision (which is a whole can of worms actually and mainly for my twitter), history (no specific topic in particular), public transit, the sims (specifically 2 and 4), and a whole host of other stuff. i like to write from time to time (i'm not that good at it), and i love to sing (which i'm also not that good at)! this blog is the dumping ground for all these interests! wahoo!

in terms of music? i tend to float from genre to genre, but i love a bit of abba and a little kate bush from time to time. i love songs that aren't in english and am currently looking for more welsh stuff so if u know any good ones lmk!

i don't really have any specific dnis. just no racists/transphobes/homophobes/general bigots. also dni if you know me irl i cannot deal with that (looking at a certain someone here). thx!

and now to list out some random things. i love halloween (i'm devising costume ideas rn. last year i went as the statue of liberty and the year before as drag margaret thatcher which was funny), my birthday's on 15 may (save the date), i'm about 5'8, i LOVE brian david gilbert he is an icon, i'm allergic to proper capitalisation, i think autumn is overrated, i love snow but live by the coast so we don't get it much (i also love storms but not all the time), i love both sir pentious and vox and i have to come to terms with the fact that my 2 favs hate each other, and idk how to end this list.

hi! this snippet is yet unfinished, but i've been aching to share some writing. so here's a snippet that's nnsei-adjacent, inspired by brian david gilbert's vampire cover of "lay all your love on me"

Lay All Your Blood On Me

The choir’s angelic madrigals floated above them, lifting to the heavens as Brin kneeled before the prior. For his part, Prior Maxence had the grace to look uncomfortable about the proceedings. His face was contorted with the swallowed emotions of one failing to reconcile his beliefs with the orders of his goddess. If there was one thought that Brin hoped afflicted the prior, it was: What if my daughter were the one before me?

Brin knew the prior’s daughter; she had grown up with Aeliane. They hadn't been close, but it was hard to negate a tie to someone you had been neighbours with your entire life. They had been playmates for as long as Brin could remember. Being so much more outgoing than Aeliane, it would've been hard for Brin not to adopt her into her circle of friends. Aeliane might not have been the friend type, but Brin had known her at least as well as she knew her cousins. Now that Aeliane was in boarding school… Well.

As she looked up at the tall stained-glass windows above the altar, the red light of the setting sun streaming through them and painting the cathedral like blood, Brin supposed that death wouldn’t be so useless if it forced Prior Maxence to question the faith which he held onto so dearly.

And what a morose thought that was, to consider bowing her head to the necessitated evil of her own death. If the death was the price for something which had not been her fault, Brin thought that perhaps the creature that had marred her humanity had been justified in its bottomless rage and hunger. Her tongue passed over the unfamiliar points of her new fangs, the hungry, inhuman part of her nagging her mind with a baser instinct which coiled like a half-starved snake beneath her ribs, waiting to strike. She wondered how freeing it would be to get a taste of their blood before she was forced into the next world. (If there was an afterlife for the likes of her. If her Awakening hadn’t robbed her of that, too.)

Would her violent hunger vindicate their goddess’s orders? To rip them from this world rather than leave them to kiss the feet of a cruel deity would be an act of kindness. Though Brin supposed feeding on the clergy would only cement her inhumanity in their eyes with a vehemence. Perhaps killing them all would be too generous.

Maxence would live, Brin decided. It was unnegotiable. The skies above and the ground below knew his children needed all the support they could get after the bloody tragedy four summers before. It would be fitting that blood followed this family. Besides, Brin couldn’t do that to Aeliane, even if they had never really been good friends.

Brin was running and trying not to look back, but she did and begged the question: Does it make you a bad person to bad things to bad people to save yourself from being hurt? That new, inhuman hunger whispered, yes, with an intensity that frightened Brin.

Before she knew it, she was in someone's backyard, tripping into a patch of cabbage. She cursed and hissed as she struggled to get up, her dress entangled in the chickenwire fence around the garden.

Light flooded the yard from the house behind her, silhouetting her against the dark garden. Brin felt a heart squeeze with fear, and she was almost giddy with it until she turned and saw that it was Aeliane in the bright doorway. If she could, she would've gone pale to see her there.

"Brin? What the fuck?" Brin didn't think the accusatory tone she heard was imagined.

Shit.

Brin could feel Aeliane's heart squeeze again as she scrutinized Brin from the doorway. "Is that— a sacrïé-chaussette?" The small fear in Aeliane's voice betrayed her angry front.

Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: So a ghost clown? Demonic clown? to quote Brian David Gilbert “Who has ever watched a clown and thought to themselves ‘boy, I wish that thing never got tired…and I’m not saying clowns are terrible. Clowns serve their purpose: they’re creepy a-and sometimes good and…You know what? I do take it back. Clowns don’t serve a purpose.” Little girl. Little girl!! Why are you letting that creepy clown into your house late at night? Or at all? No. (I would live. You couldn’t pay me to let that clown in)

Stop giving me so many recaps…like, there’s doing some small recap of things that are going to be important to this particular episode and then there’s doing a full recap of the last two to three episodes like I didn’t JUST watch them this week

This clown is also giving clown box from the MBMBAM tv show? You can’t just take clown box’s hand and not expect bad things to happen. Same with this clown. IT STALKED YOU HOME!!!
