The originals really should've been obsessed with Bonnie. The way Bennett witches were wrapped up in everything, they most likely knew several of her ancestors over the centuries. Damon too should've come to mystic falls seeking Bonnie out, especially with the somergraham chemistry it could've been really interesting

I did say Bonnie deserved hoes. That went for everyone. It is the least the plot could do is uplift Bonnie’s desirability given everyone needs her magic.

No one ever gives a good argument why a noncanon Bonnie ship shouldn’t have happened. “She’s too good for them” “That pairing is so toxic”. “Platonic for a reason…” For example: Kol killed Davina and she married him. No one says anything about Kolvina. But if Bonnie is too good what does that say about your fave for being paired with said toxic man…

They usually mean anyone but the black girl.

Do you think if Bonnie was the one to become pregnant with hope instead of Hayley that Elijah would’ve fell for her? I honestly think it’s possible because how could you not? But It would be so much different especially cause klaus would be in love with her too which would make things more complicated and Bonnie would probably not want to go through what elena went through with the Salvatore’s😭 platonic Elijah and Bonnie would be a cool duo but based on the originals, Bonnie is also his type.

Who wouldn’t fall in love with Bonnie? How can you not fall in love with her! I’m in love right now. Elijah does have a track record of dating women of color too when you consider TO. He doesn't fall in love with them solely for being women of color. This isn't fetishization. He just has a diverse taste in women which is very different from his history with Petrovas.

Elijah has a tendency to betray people when they don’t fit in with his agendas. Elijah has betrayed Bonnie twice. Once after he sought out Bonnie to fight his brother. Then again with Abby’s death. Elijah is to blame along with the Salvatore’s. Exploring that distrust Bonnie had with Elijah would be very interesting in a Klonnie sense. How can she trust him after he’s shown he does not value her the same way the Salvatore’s has done.

Klaus loves knowing that Bonnie doesn't like Elijah. He is fully aware that his brother might yearn for or pine for Bonnie but she would never be interested in someone so two-faced. For as destructive and evil as Klaus is, he's never pretended to be anything but himself. He knows who he is. Elijah masquerades as a noble gentleman. Bonnie naturally gravitates towards a more "sensible" brother (e.g. her early friendship with Stefan), but Elijah lacks the remorse that the Ripper does.

Final thoughts I’ve always found this an interesting parallel whether this was intentional or not because of how undervalued Bonnie is. Bonnie has been wronged by many people including her friends which people do not acknowledge. Yes, the MFG does cause Bonnie pain just as much as the enemies in the show including both of her love interests but Bonnie is just as deserving of being explored. Keep in mind how intertwined the Bennetts are throughout TVDU.

She is later than she intends to be but they will be happy with what she has found. It hasn’t been easy but by God, she might get them out of this mess yet.

There is a lightness in her step as she enters the Abattoir but when her heel grounds a piece of glass against the stone floor, she stops. Takes in her surroundings. Holy shit --- the destruction. The entire courtyard is in shambles and is that...is that blood?

She is more cautious as she moves now, her magic at the ready. She had hoped they would have more time before the worst of it descended but apparently not.

She finds the brothers seated around a table looking a hair better than their surroundings. For a moment, it is on the tip of her tongue to ask if they are okay (but does she really care or are they a means to an end?). She looks from one to the other and realizes something.

They did this to each other.

“Seriously?!” Her voice echoes through the space and they both look up, not a bit ashamed at their current state. “I was gone for two hours!”

Elijah is the first to speak, his tone dry. “A simple disagreement.”

Klaus has the gall to look smug, even as blood sticks to his skin. “You know how siblings are, love.” Then he raises his eyebrows as if he is having a realization. “Oh wait, you do not.”

Bonnie heaves a sigh. “I hate you both so much.” As she closes her eyes wearily, she is hears the distinctive clink of glasses off one another. “So so much.”

It’s funny how a lot of TVD Stans all of a sudden lose the ability to envision anything outside of canon when it comes to Bonnie and her only. All these fantasies, hypotheticals and what if’s can be thrown around for other characters but God for bid it’s Bonnie. Now it’s either Bonnie Stan’s are doing too much, we’re trying to make her the main character and give her too much attention/spotlight or we’re being delusional giving her storylines that make her ooc even tho the entire show was hella inconsistent in how characters were written.

It’s not our fault y’all choose to only see her for what was given in the show and nothing more. Take that close minded energy elsewhere.

Okay sooo does anyone know of any Bonnie centric fanfics where she actually experiences motherhood. I see so many fanfics of her going through hell in her pregnancy and having a traumatic birth (which as a mother can be very triggering) but I never see and where she just gets to experience motherhood and we see what all comes with that(breastfeeding, post partum hunger, playing with her son/daughter, wanting more kids). Idk I feel like that would be so nice to read.

Which reminds me, I’ve totally become the “that’s not an accurate newborn” parent lowkey😭😭 seeing “newborns” on tv or reading and being like oh she’s wearing heels at 8mo pregnant???mmmm…..🤣

Shipping Bonnie beyond her canon love interests does not equal her being OOC. I take pains in ensuring that what I write is still very much in character for her. In fact some of my ‘ship’ fics don’t even end with them together because it doesn’t fit for who Bonnie is (especially in the context of the story). Doesn’t mean I didn’t have fun along the way.

People act like TVD canon is some gilded tome that we must worship when in reality is was a bunch of scribbles on scrap paper that contradicted itself time and time again.

Bonnie & Elijah

“Elena, Today I did things I abhor to protect the one thing I value most my family. If anyone can understand it it’s you. Your compassion is a gift Elena carry it with you as I will carry my regret.”

That was the apology letter Elijah gave to Elena after he kidnapped her and threatened to kill her if the Salvatore’s didn’t find a way to stop Esther from killing and his siblings. The Nobel and honorable Elijah who “always keeps his word” was sorry for threatening to kill her so he apologized. That’s cool and all but what about Bonnie.

In season 2 Elijah put all his trust in a newbie witch to take down his dangerous 1000+ year old brother and gave his word that he’d keep his end bargain yet he went back on it. Bonnie risked her life for her friend and Elijah only for him to stab her in the back and she gets no apology.

Even in season 3 when he gave Elena the apology letter Bonnie’s mother was turned into a vampire bc of Elijah and I get he was trying to protect his family but when you read the letter it seemed more fitting for Bonnie given the circumstances. If there’s anyone who understands what doing anything to protect the people they value most in their life it’s Bonnie and in many ways Elijah and Bonnie are similar. Being the glue to their family/friend group and putting others peoples lives over their own while still suffering themselves are the main things that come to mind. Yet for some reason these two rarely had interactions (when they had direct storylines with one another) nor did Bonnie get the Nobel Elijah that the writes tried to make him out to be even tho he’s caused her suffrage.

This really shows you how much of a plot device the writers viewed Bonnie as. They used her to progress the plot then throw her to the side leaving valuable storylines that could have added more depth to the show in the clouds to never be utilized again. What a shame. 🫤
