Nayeon x GN!Reader - Bonfire Night (Fluff💖)

It was the time of year you dreaded most , bonfire night, you hated it, always had, the loud noises making you constantly feel on edge , you always wanted to escape and cry

This year was slightly different Though, this time around you had your girlfriend Nayeon but you were yet to tell her about your fear of fireworks

You were layed on the couch wrapped in Nayeon's arms when suddenly the loud bangs started making you jump and bury your head into Nayeon's chest as she pulled you closer protectively holding you, she could feel you shaking in her arms so she did her best to soothe you, stroking your hair and grabbing her headphones From the table and placing them on your head and playing your favourite songs

She watched as you began to calm down now that you couldn't hear the noises but you still clung onto her, her presence making you feel safer as she stroked patterns on your arms softly and gave you forehead kisses

A few Hours later, you were still layed on Nayeon's chest, still with the headphones on when Nayeon reached over to take them off of you because it had been half an hour since she'd heard the last bang so the display had finished now, Nayeon noticed you had a look of panic on you face as she lifted them off your head but it quick went away when she grabbed your hand and gently said "it's okay baby, it's finished now, I'm here nothing will hurt you okay" while stroking your cheek

You left up meeting her lips in a soft kiss "I'm sorry for not telling you I was scared of fireworks before, I was worried you'd laugh at me"

Nayeon just looked at you incredulously before saying " baby I would never laugh at you for being scared of something, you should know that" and just pulled you closer once again , you finding your position resting on her chest listening to the beat of her heart before mumbling an "I love you so much" into her T-shirt which she reciprocated back and kissed your cheek watching and your eyelids fluttered closed falling asleep in the arms of the love of your life feeling the safest you ever had on this horrible day that people celebrate for no reason
