Dear readers,
Because of my (surprisingly and out of blue) amazing productivity I ended up having a lot more time for watching new movies and tv shows lately so I decided to share my top favourite movies (majority of them you have definitely watched and if not I highly recommend it) and also a small list of films and tv shows I want to watch.
My recommendation: (films)
- Oppenheimer
(Unlike many popular beliefs this film does not glorify atomic bombs, this film depicts Oppenheimer’s conflict of inventing one, how it was an amazing discovery but could also potentially end the human kind. Christopher Nolan is a genius and casting Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer was the best decision ever)
- Inglorious Basterds
Definitely one of the best films ever. Can’t find any flaws (might be my subjective opinion but idc sue me)
- Interstellar
Another one of Christopher nolan’s masterpieces. Don’t know a person who hasn’t watched it and disliked it and i hope it stays that way.
- Marsian
Now this is not objectively amazing film like 3 mentioned before but it’s one of my personal favourites. It’s a sci-fi film about an astronaut who is stuck on mars. Spoiler alert: he survives. Highly recommend it.
- Dictator
This is nothing but hilarious. 10/10
Tv-shows:
- Peaky blinders
- BBC Sherlock
The best sherlock out there. Don’t agree? Bite me. You are wrong
- Gossip Girl
- Brooklyn 99
- The big bang theory
My to watch list:
- Anthropoid
- Dunkirk
- Jango
- Dead poets society
- The great debaters
- Black swan
- The riot club
- School ties
- Gilmore girls (currently watching)
xoxo,
josie

I JS WATCHED MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR AND THIS IS AMAZING
smash lunela's brother tbh
and the way the episode shows the issue lunela, a BLACK girl, is facing with her hair is js amazing
like she was like "no i can't look like this on the class picture" with her natural, afro looking hair, and so she asks her friend to give her more "white-looking" hair ALL BECAUSE A WHITE BITCH MOCKED HER, but at the end she kinda fought with her hair but she realized they were a part of her and went with her afro hair to the class picture and the empowering it's giving the black community, esp to black little girls and 🥹🥹
especially the quote "people tend to criticize what they don't understand, but i tell you our hair is wonderful "
and even though i'm a (kind of) white passing south african person it just makes me happy to see some cartoons with some black main characters 🤧🩷
also love the inclusiveness of the show is incredible like ?!?!?! /pos bc at one time they showed a short frame of when lunela was at her best friend and it said "i <3 my 2 dads" smth like that and i noticed and i was like ?!?!?! this is so cool
im sorry i got rambling a bit but this made me so happy
like
:D

Chapter Four
୨⎯ Narrative ⎯୧
Papa Beaver was drinking beer while everyone else was drinking tea after they had just finished dinner. While the pevensie's tried to devise a plan to save Mr. Tumnus from the White Wench.
With hot tears burning her eyes, Rina sadly looked down into her lap while holding her hands. It was agonizing to even consider her only friend taken prisoner. Rina felt helpless because if she had been there, she would have acted.
Evil was the nature of the White Wench. And anyone who crossed her would perish as a result. As Rina pondered the possibility of never seeing Tumnus again, tears began to fall down her cheeks.
Mama Beaver noticed Rina silently crying but paid no mind as she carried on bringing dirty dishes into the kitchen. Mama Beaver sat next Rina and continued to look at her Papa Beaver, while trying to help the pevensie's think of things they could do. She reached under the table and grabbed onto Rina's hand, and gently brushed her thumb across her hand to comfort Rina.
"It's no good, Son of Adam." Said, Papa Beaver. "Trying to go save him is no good. But now Aslan is on the move-"
"Who The heck is Aslan?!" Edmund asked, with irration on his face. Rina quickly wiped her face and glared at the freckled face boy.
"Aslan?" Said, Papa Beaver, chuckling. "Why, don't you know? He's the King. He's the Lord of the whole wood, but not often here, you understand? Never in my time or my father's. But the world has reached us that he has come back. He is in Narnia at this moment. He'll settle the White Wench all right. It is he, not you, that will save Mr. Tumnus." Papa Beaver finished confidently.
Rina brightly smiled at how proudly Papa Beaver spoke of her Father.
"She won't turn him into stone, too?" Edmund asked.
Rina rolled her eyes and lightly scoffed. As if the Wench could do such a thing. She wouldn't dare try to do something so idiotic.
Mama Beaver placed her hand on her chest and gasped appalled. "Lord love you, Son of Adam, what a Simple thing to say!" Causing Papa Beaver to let out an great laugh. "Turn him into stone? If she can stand on her two feet and look him in the face it'll be the most she can do and more than I expect of her. You'll understand when you see him." Papa Beaver said, taking a drink from his mug.
Rina tried to find comfort in his words, but uncertainty bubbled in her stomach. What if her Father wasn't able to save Tumnus in time? She knew her Father was all great and powerful, but it......she just felt scared and nervous for her friend. But not just for Tumnus. Rina turned to her left and stared at the Pevensie's and her face held mixed emotions. Could they really trust these prophecy children? Lucy looked into the seat Rina sat in and gave her a half smile, causing Rina to blankly stare at her back.
Would her father be disappointed in her for not at least trying to help the pevensie's, when she had the power to do so? Rina took in a deep sigh and looked back at Lucy, and gave a tiny smile back.
"But when shall we see him?" Susan asked.
"Why, Daughter of Eve, that's what I brought you here for. I'm to lead you all where you shall meet him." Said, Mr. Beaver. "And so you shall. Word has been sent that you are to meet him, tomorrow if you can, at the Stone Table." Said, Papa Beaver.
Rina scrunched up my brow so her Father knew they was coming this whole time? And where was Papa Beaver taking them to?
"And where is that? Lucy asked.
"I'll show you." Said, Papa Beaver. "It's down the river, a good step from here. I'll take you to it!" He said, standing up from the table with a determined look on his face.
"But what will we do about poor Mr. Tumnus, now?" Lucy said.
Rina looked at Papa Beaver and sadly nodded, waiting for him to answer.
"The quickest way you can help him is by going to Aslan." Papa Beaver said. "Once he's with us, then we can begin doing things. Not that we don't need too. For that's another of the old rhymes."
Old Rhymes? Rina thought. She racked her brain for what he could be talking about. Then all of sudden it hit her. A rhyme Mama Beaver would tell her all the time when it was her bed time, when she would spend the night with them.
Wrong will be right,
When Aslan comes in
Sight.
At the sound of his roar,
Sorrows will be no
More.
When he bares his teeth,
Winter meets its death.
And when he shakes his
Mane, we shall have
Spring again.
"So things must be drawing near their end now he's come and you've come. We've heard of Aslan coming into these parts before- long ago, nobody can say when. But there's never been any of your race here before. The Witch is always on the lookout for any humans in Narnia. She's been watching for you this many a year, and if she knew there were four of you she'd be more dangerous still." He said.
Rina remembered all the times her Father would tell Siya and her brother William, that Narnia would go into a deep winter sleep and would be taken over by a evil woman. Rina dreaded and cried every night, about her Father leaving. Siya being the oldest of Rina and William always had on a strong face, but the day Aslan left them Siya put on this strong front in front of her siblings; but the moment she was alone she broke down. Rina was the one to witness it but has never said anything about it.
Rina understands as oldest, it's Siya's job to always stand strong and be there for her and William. Rina just wished she didn't bottle everything in.
"What's that got to do with anything? Peter asked.
"Because of another prophecy." Papa Beaver said. "Down at Cair Paravel, that's the castle on the sea coast down at the mouth of this river which ought to be the capital of the whole country if all was as it should be. Down at Cair Paravel there are six thrones, and it's a saying in Narnia time out of mind that when two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve, plus the Daughters and Son of Aslan; sit in those six thrones. Then it will be the end not only of the White Witch's reign but of her life, and that I'd why we should be cautious. Because she knows her end is nearing, and will do anything that threatens her crown! Papa Beaver tell them.
"This Aslan.....he has children?" Susan asked, Papa Beaver.
"Of course! Queen Siya, Princess Rina, and prince William." Mama Beaver said proudly.
Rina smiled at Mama Beaver and reached over kissing Mama Beaver on the cheek. Causing Lucy to look at them and smile sweetly.
"How come they can't defeat the Witch, by themselves?" Peter asked, Mama Beaver.
Rina rolled her eyes and thought if they could they would. But it's obvious that they need the help of the Pevensie's. Even though Rina and Siya train hard every day with their powers, except for William; he wouldn't be fighting. He was way too young, he's younger than Rina. But it's still not something they can do alone. And their father told them that every day before he disappeared.
Rina looked at the Pevensie's and scrunched up her brow, and thought something wasn't right. Two girls, two boys- wait where is Edmund!?
Rina's eye's widened and snapped her head towards Mama and Papa Beaver, pointing to the Pevensie's jumping up from her seat.
Mama and Papa Beaver looked alarmed and hastily looked around the room. "Where's your brother!?" Papa Beaver asked, them.
They looked around the dam, but he was no where to be found.
"I'm gonna KILL HIM!" Peter said. But Rina looked at Papa and Mama Beaver, fearing that it might be too late.
-Time Skip-
୨⎯ Rina's Pov ⎯୧
We reached the valley between two hills, only walking for a short amount of time. A ice castle towered menacingly over us. I made sure to make us invisible so we wouldn't get caught.
"It looks dark....and evil." Lucy whispered. And I looked at her nodded, telling her it was.
"Look!" Susan yelled.
I looked at the front of the castle entrance seeing a freckled face, dark haired boy walk into the castle doors. And my whole body went cold, then my face filled with anger.
THAT FOOLISH BOY! DOES HE KNOW WHAT HE JUST DONE!?
"EDMUND!" Lucy screamed out. I looked at her like she grew two heads, and shook my head at her. They couldn't hear or see us, but still it was too late for her to be yelling for him.
"WE MUST BE QUIET!" Mama Beaver told them.
Peter began to run towards the castle having Papa Beaver jump on top of him, to stop him.
"Oh great you all have lost your minds!" I said, lowly. Knowing good well they couldn't hear me, we'll expect for Lucy. But I felt like I had to say it.
"We can't just leave him!" Said Susan. "HE'S OUR BROTHER!" Peter yelled.
"HE'S BAIT! SHE WANTS ALL THREE OF YA!" Papa said, yelling at them.
Lucy looked at me with tears in her eyes, and I gave her a sad look. Then she looked at Papa Beaver and asked crying, "what can we do now?"
"Only Aslan can help us now. We must go to him, he's our only chance now." He said, sadly.
"Great Heavens." Mama Beaver said. Hugging Lucy.
May my Father help us now.
