NEVER LET GO

synopsis: whether through a moment of vulnerability or extreme excitement, sometimes a hug is all they really need

characters: heizou, venti, cyno, and dainsleif x gn! reader

warnings: fluff, the tiniest bit of angst, mentions of injuries in dainsleif’s

notes: thanks so much for the compliments! make sure you take care of yourself too, anon <3 i hope it’s okay that i went with the hugging scenarios. i was struggling with the first idea and i didn’t want to let this ask just sit in my inbox for like three months 😭

heizou:

heizou was a busy man. while some may have called him a slacker or lazy, you knew how tasking his work as a detective really was

he often came home exhausted and could barely eat. most of the time, he would just go to sleep for the night

tonight was no exception to this

you knew kujou sara had been working him extra hard recently, constantly pushing on him to finish this super complicated case involving serious crimes

you had been sitting on the couch reading a book when heizou had arrived home. the door clicked shut and his footsteps almost sounded like they were dragging against the floor

“heizou?” you called out. no response was given in return

but eventually, you saw your boyfriend walk through the door, a tired frown painted across his face

he set down his stuff and just slumped against you, his hands wrapping around your back as his head laid against your chest

“did something happen at work today?” you practically whispered, not trying to disturb him

“same old. can we just stay like this for a little bit?” he asked gently, the exhaustion still very much evident in his voice

you nodded and wrapped one arm around him, the other moved up to run your fingers through his hair. soon enough, your boyfriend’s breathing slowed. he had fallen asleep and finally looked like he was at peace

even though he couldn’t hear you, you placed a kiss on his forehead and gently whispered, “i love you.”

venti:

you were wandering around windrise for the morning, just enjoying the calm feeling the wind gave you, when you remembered the letter you had gotten yesterday

it was from the anemo archon, aka, your boyfriend

he had asked you to meet him at starsnatch cliff by noon. luckily, it was only around 11:30 so you had plenty of time to get there

the walk up was just as nice as your walk around the tree. only now, you were busy thinking about what it is venti could’ve wanted and why he had you meet him all the way out here

he was always scheming so this was likely just another one of his pranks or something, that’s what you thought at least

when you had arrived, the bard quickly jumped into your arms, a few giggles fell from his mouth

“y/n, dear! i’m so happy you’re here!” he said as he clung tightly to you, his arms wrapped securely around your waist

“venti? what’s going on?” you questioned hesitantly. you returned the hug nevertheless. never would you deny your boyfriend a hug

he stopped laughing and just buried his head in your shoulder. it had been a few days since he had seen you after all

“i’ve just missed you, that’s all.”

cyno:

staying with cyno in the desert was not something you did often, in fact, you were far more used to the rainforest than the desert

you had trouble with the sand, it was hot all the time, and worst of all, the excruciatingly dry weather

you weren’t one to believe much in the gods or celestia, but by the time nightfall hit, you were practically on your knees thanking them for the colder weather that would finally allow you to rest

exhausted, you lied down gently against some of the rocks, placing your bag under your head and shut your eyes

cyno laid next to you, but kept his eyes open. he watched you for a moment, his eyes softening at how tired you seemed

cyno could never admit it out loud, but he was so grateful for all the times you came with him to the desert. it was his home, the place he loved

and he knew how much you didn’t like it, but archons, he appreciated the way you would go just for him just as he went to the rainforest for you

so, as you lay silently asleep next to him, cyno smiled softly and shut his eyes as he pulled you against him and wrapped his arms around you; a gentle hug of sorts

there was no way in hell cyno could ever love someone else as much as he loved you

dainsleif:

much to dainsleif’s dismay, you often accompanied him on his missions around teyvat

from the start he had found you to be more of a thorn in his side rather than someone of use to him

you were so positive and easy going, and you hung around him all the time. he had tried to shake you off, but it was to no avail

eventually he had given up on his attempts to get you to leave him alone, but dainsleif always made sure to remind you of how annoying he thought you were

today you were out fighting again, deep within the chasm

abyss mages, hilichurls, mechanical monsters, they all surrounded you both. it was like they wouldn’t stop fighting…like something was possessing them. maybe it’s something in the leylines, he thought

a sudden shriek caught dainsleif’s attention and his eyes quickly snapped to where you were, now on the ground with blood surrounding your leg

his heart beat fast against his chest, and his eyes widened. dainsleif couldn’t stop himself from running to you as soon as the last abyss mage fell dead against the floor

dainsleif helped you up quickly, your arms gripped onto his for support. his eyes hesitated as they scanned over you

before he knew it, he was pulling you into a tight embrace

perhaps it was then that dainsleif finally realized why it was that he had given up on trying to get rid of you:

i wanted to do this as an epilogue instead of a written chapter. i thought it would be sweet! plus, i had some anons ask for a couple more instagram posts before i finished the series :)

so, it’s official, welcome to the jungle is COMPLETE!!

Each Black Butler Arc + Valerie Phantomhive

Warnings: Many Black Butler manga spoilers.

(From what I can best remember :’))

Pre-Black Butler Verse:

- Valerie was born in 1872

- Valerie was only 13 years old on the December 10th, 1885 incident.

- Being so busy with her enthusiastic and helping preparations that she had forgotten to get a gift for the twins. It led to her leaving the manor in secret and lost track of time in which when she returned; the manor was already in flames.

- Stayed with the Midford’s for the time being of the month O!Ciel was gone. She was absolutely depressed and devastated throughout that month.

- Was probably the only one that questioned what had happened to the spare. But knew Ciel would definitely not want to talk about or even go into details of what happened so she never asked.

- She assumed the worst had happened to the spare, Valerie loved both equally but was still grateful at least one survived.

General Black Butler Verse:

- Sebastian felt off to her, too good to be true vibe obviously.

- learned how to play the piano by Sebastian within the 3 years.

- Sebastian sometimes makes Ciel while in his violine lessons make the two duet together

(Totally did not think of Omori when I had this idea for Valerie).

- Valerie finding out Ciel named Finny “Finnian” it made her chuckle a bit.

Ciel: Is something funny?

Valerie: No…just the name you picked for our new servant is what I hadn’t expected.

Ciel: Why do I sense some judgment in the name I had picked out for him?

Valerie: Of course not. In fact, I find it sweet. Knowing you bestowed a name for a servant as unique as him after Fionn Cumhaill from Fenian Cycle. It was your favorite, you always read it over, and over again.

While Mey-Rin:

Sebastian: The sniper, is biologically female.

Valerie: …

Valerie: She’s hired.

Ciel: AFTER SHE JUST TRIED TO ASSASSINATE THE BOTH OF US?!

Valerie: YOU DONT UNDERSTAND CIEL WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MAIDS AND SHES PERFECT.

Sebastian: My lady does have a point; but hiring her immediately is not very wise…

Valerie: Then neither of you men understand.

Then, there was Bard:

- Valerie questions how the hell Sebastian managed to find an American man so quickly and how far a travel like that would have been.

Red Butler/Jack the Ripper Arc:

- Liked Charlotte at first but not Grell(e) causing such chaos and mistakes…

- Had to tolerate the mess.

Ciel: “Just why do I have to be your niece?!”

Madam Red: “Because dear, I’ve always wanted another girl!”

Ciel: “You’re kidding! Isn’t one enough?!”

Valerie: “Don’t you dare drag me into this!”

- Violence is never the answer; until someone inappropriately touches Lady Ciel.

- Sebastian had to reassure Valerie that the plan was going smoothly and to follow along.

- Valerie looked up to Madam Red, they both had a great relationship up till her death

- Dislikes the reapers.

Indian Butler Arc

- Someone as strong as Sebastian? That’s possible?

- Enjoys, and is grateful of Prince Soma’s company to Ciel. She believes that Ciel is in denial with their “friendship.”

Book of Circus Arc:

- Missing and brutally murdered women before, now missing children?! The hell is going on in the underworld?!

- Nothing seems too suspicious about this circus; just what are we supposed to look for?

- Valerie: there goes Sebastian putting on a show…say, can I also pet the tiger?

- Ciel: Are you insane?! Absolutely not!

- Valerie: I hate your allergy to cats sometimes Ciel..

- Stage name: ??? (Could not think of one for Valerie 😭)

- Yk that “WHAT?! THIS IS A MOMENT IN HISTORY. TAKE A PICTURE!” Audio?

- That’s how Valerie felt when Ciel was pressured into forcing a smile.

- Valerie: Pft- So… smile…?

- Ciel: Don’t. You. Dare.

- Sebastian chuckling and muffled laughter heard as Ciel struggles TERRIBLY on that tightrope while Valerie’s anxiety has never been so high.

- Freckle face is Doll?!

- But then again Ciel did cross dress in the past so it’s not as strange…

- BUT HER PROOF OF BEING A LADY WAS NOT NECESSARY.

- *The Phantomhive siblings reading a whole lot of information in just one piece of paper*

- Are they a bunch of stalkers?! What kind of obsessive lunatic does this type of behavior?!

- The event in which Vincent Phantomhive took the twins when they were 8 and met Kelvin; 11 year old Valerie felt a gut wrenching unease about him and never understood why.

- Until now.

- Massive disgust, Ciel kill him now.

- Valerie: Pass the pistol Ciel.

- Ciel: Wh-What…?

- Valerie: I SAID PASS THE PISTOL.

(Safe to say Baron Kelvin was not only shot once :3)

(Jk Ciel wanted to be the first to kill him so Valerie didn’t get the chance, but this is a nice imagine)

(Exciting the Kelvin manor: in flames as ordered by Ciel to burn everything).

- Valerie felt terrible towards Doll, but it did not excuse the fact they were kidnapping children and supporting their “father’s” disgusting obsession.

- Doll did attempt to attack first, so if anything…it’ll be reasonable to eliminate what’s left.

Book of Murder Arc

- Learned French has its perks

- The Queens knights? Why would they be over here?

(Don’t remember much from this arc :’))

- Oh? A new servant? His name is Snake?

Book of Atlantic Arc:

- Valerie really thought it was going to be a family holiday but then realized it was another investigation ordered by the queen she was disappointed.

- Valerie pulled Ciel’s ear and scolded him for being cruel and impatient with Lizzie after he forcefully he ripped a layer of Lizzie’s dress. Lizzie did reassure her that it was also her childishness that he had a right to be upset.

- To not make Elizabeth feel lonely with her cute act. Valerie made a promise to Elizabeth when they were children. Both agreeing to wearing low heeled shoes and appearing fragile and weak.

- When on the deck and after Lizzie was knocked out. Valerie and Ciel almost had an argument since Ciel insisted on staying on the ship but promised to return alive and well.

- She hugged him and let him go, telling him not to do anything stupid while she went on the life boat.

- Valerie has faith in Sebastian, he himself reassured her that Ciel will be protected.

Mini-Easter event:

- Stared at Lizzie in shock of her mischievous idea of putting her egg on the top of the damn chandelier

- “Don’t you think that’s a bit unfair…?”

- “No, of course not! I have faith in Ciel and I trust he will win and get my egg!”

(I don’t remember anything in this little event :’) except Charles Grey breaking the window for a dramatic entrance-).

Public School Arc:

- Hearing the idea of going to a pubic school undercover sounded exciting to Valerie until she realized she had to do something about her chest.

- Faking her voice with only few days of practice before heading to the actual school since she as well as going undercover

- Seeing Ciel act like a boy his age felt strange yet reassuring to Valerie

- Valerie: Don’t you believe you’re overworking Sebastian? He’s a professor and he can’t be doing your tasks-

- Ciel: Don’t worry; he’ll be fine

(When Soma pulled up on an elephant)

Valerie: Ciel isn’t that your friend?

Ciel: SHHHHHWHDHDH

(That one second time Ciel had committed arson)

Valerie: Well…would you look at that.

Valerie: You have skills in throwing a lantern through the violet wolf house window from this distance, but don’t have the skill for knife throwing?

Ciel: Darts and knife throwing are two different things, Valerie.

(During cricket idea and strategies)

- Valerie “Laxatives in the meat pies?! Wouldn’t that be-”

- Ciel: “Cheating? Yes. But do you have any other better ideas better than the A to Z?

- Valerie: “You mischievous and cunning yet clever boy…always somehow getting what you want.”

- Valerie: “He reminds me of father honestly.”

(Midnight Tea Party)

- Undertaker being the headmaster was NOT what I had expected…

Emerald Witch Arc:

- Learning German with Ciel was an interesting thing to imagine.

- Seeing him struggle to properly speak and understand Sullivan was amusing to her

(She knew damn well she shouldn’t be laughing because hers was also equally as bad).

- Sullivan grabbing Ciel by the…yk definitely shocked both siblings.

- Valerie questions what the hell these women have been teaching this girl.

- Had the most smug smile on her face seeing Ciel offer a hand to Sullivan and his offer of friendship, he’s finally making friends.

- During the Emerald Witch Arc when Ciel wasn’t really acting as his earl self; she was beside Finny and helping him take care of Ciel (she also cried because it had been so long since she had seen Ciel cry as well as seeing him in such a hurt state).

- When after hearing the idea of Ciel wearing Sullivan’s dress to trick the ladies in the plan of fleeing the village, she was covering her mouth and snickering the entire time.

- Women in tanks?! The hell did they get the war equipment from?!

- Valerie and Elizabeth had the times of their lives teaching Sullivan the ways of a lady.

(For those who remember; Ciel was also dragged into it).

- She secretly adored Sullivan, and was a bit taken back when she had cut her hair till chin length.

Blue Cult Arc:

(FROM WHAT I CAN REMEMBER 😞)

- When Valerie heard Ciel’s idea of creating the Phantomfive, has he officially gone insane?

- Withdrawal of blood plus a music group…putting two and two together it doesn’t sound as bad.

- EDWARD IS APART OF IT? WHAT TYPE OF BRIBERY DID CIEL HAVE TO INCLUDE HIM TOO?

- Oh when aunt Francis finds out she is pulling that boy by the ear for being improper…

- When Valerie found out about R!Ciel, of course she was in denial at first.

- Shamefully also lied Elizabeth’s whereabouts and was helping her actually.

- She didn’t exactly turn her back on O!Ciel instantly. As mentioned before she loved both of her younger brothers equally.

- If Valerie was given more time to critically think, more time to speak to O!Ciel and understand why he would do something like that.

- Maybe things would have been different.

Blue Memory Arc: (just some of Valerie’s memories rather than Ciel’s)

- Did get spanked by Rachel Phantomhive/her mother for sneaking into the kitchen and grabbing dessert for herself and the twins before dinner. Tanaka also probably scolded her.

- Valerie when she was younger always found her mother’s hair to be gorgeous. She didn’t like inheriting the current color from her father…

- “I COULD HAVE HAD MOTHER’S BLOND HAIR?!”

- Valerie was once that little girl that wanted to marry her father, in which when told that logically she could not, little Valerie refused to marry anyone else

- Was going to be in an engagement with Edward Midford but Lizzie and Ciel were already enough.

- her mother and aunt Anne were amazing role models too

- Despite Undertaker’s strange appearance and behavior; Valerie when she was a child wasn’t too frightened since he cares about all the Phantomhive’s and was friendly.

- When O!Ciel was diagnosed with asthma; he had to stay inside most of the time. In which Valerie was also inside due to lessons/tutoring.

- Was very much a victim of Elizabeth’s dress up games even when she was younger.

- Fencing with Lizzie when she was old enough was fun since Lizzie was just as much of a natural prodigy as Valerie. Making their levels equivalent and more of a fun experience.

- (Edward is terrified of both of those girls when together).

You turned the key and opened the door with a sigh, entering the awaiting empty house. It was crispy clean, thanks to the housekeeper who kept it nice and tidy whenever you and your boyfriend were away at work. Abandoning the two suitcases by the door, you made your way to the kitchen.

You decided to let it all out as it had been gnawing at you eversince you had left the hotel room in L.A for the airport, or maybe even before that. The character you had just finished filming was a heavy one. Not only did it have a depressive back story and a struggling present but it also ended badly for her in the film. This always happened no matter how much you tried not to let it.

Getting yourself a glass of water you sat down on the dining table chair and drank slowly. Your phone buzzed in your handbag, which you hurriedly got out, hoping for a message or a call from the one person in the world you missed the most. But it was just a work related email. Closing the tab, the background picture caught you off guard. It was you and Cillian, captured smiling at each other candidly at a friend’s housewarming party. It was like a needle to your depressive balloon. Before you knew your soft sobs filled the silent room. ‘God I miss him so much… I wish he was here right now!’ you thought. It was his birthday. You’d wanted to surprise him but after talking to him vaguely you’d gotten to know how busy he would be today. “I’d be home a week later anyway love. I’ll be there before you’d know it.”

You had observed early on in your career and had shared it with Cillian too, how you felt and believed that every character you played left something of its own with you and took a part of yourself away from you. It could be as little as getting a tick of pushing your glasses a certain way over the bridge of your nose or starting to sit in the same particular manner the character sat. And sometimes it would take away certain things away as well, for example you stopped listening to a song you had loved after doing a character whose love interest did not like it or you started hating red wine ( you hated it till this day) which had been your favorite type of wine since your college days.

You still remembered how sharing this theory with him at a friendly coffee break during the movie’s shooting you both had met for the first time, had you struggling with the correct words, trying not to scare away the usually shy, happy in the corner, finally opening up colleague. But mostly it was the ‘getting out of the character’ phase that you struggled with. Being a method actress, it was your way of getting the job done. Months before the beginning of the shoot you started learning, reading and researching about the part’s personality, mannerisms and accent, if she had any. Letting it gradually consume you to a point where you only left breathing space for your own real personality.

Cillian, rather than freaking out, had actually agreed to you and had shared how he had a similar way of understanding and getting into his roles. But he admitted that although he did struggle getting detoxified from the parts, he never gives it the power to consume him the way you did. Thomas Shelby, by far, had been the only character he found it difficult to get rid of.

After all he had been playing him for almost a decade. This conversation had been the ice breaker between you two. Coffee breaks turned into brunches, then into dinners where time passed in mere seconds. And soon enough you both truly started dating.

Dinner dates were special. Both of you wouldn’t want to leave, leading on sometimes meaningless conversations, just to stay in each other’s company a little bit longer. Just a month later the Covid pandemic had hit the world.

Unfortunately you were in Dubai for a shoot and Cillian had been in Ireland on a break when international travelling was banned globally. You were supposed to be back in a week but instead had to stay away for almost three months.

That time apart was pure agony and torture. Being so far away from each other had made you both pretty edgy. You both started bickering and fighting for no particular reasons. One of those petty fights had led you guys to break up and not talk to each other for a whole month. But that distance had made you both realize how deeply in love you both were with each other. So as soon as the travel ban had been lifted, you both had understood that you both had something deeper and far more special between you two. It had only been three months of living-in after which you both had to travel away for work again. You to L.A and Cillian to Mexico.

It had been six months since you had actually seen each other. It was his birthday today but the love of your life was miles away in Mexico, working on a bio-pic project and was due back in a week. ‘How the fuck am I going to survive a week?’ you thought sniffing.

Calming yourself a little bit, you moved towards the bedroom, knowing danm well that the vacant sight of it would only add to your sadness, ‘but for how long can I avoid it?’ you’d thought. Taking a deep breath you opened the door. At first you did not notice anything different but as soon as you saw the bed your heart stopped.

There, on your side of the mattress, a shirtless Cillian slept hugging a pillow, snoring softly. You frowned, pretty sure you were either still on the flight dreaming or here in the room hallucinating. Slowly, putting one foot in front of the other, you padded towards him. It was him. It was actually him!

You couldn’t believe it. Before you could stop yourself, your hand reached his forehead, gently letting your fingertips run on his temple. He stirred, opening his eyes with a slight frown between his eyebrows. Then his eyes went wide. “Y/n? You’re here!?” You’d smiled, still somehow, unable to believe your eyes. “Shit, what time is it?” He jolted up and looked for his phone. You sat next to him, amused by his panicked state. “Fuck! I overslept!” He sheepishly smiled looking at you. “Hey! What happened? Have you been crying?” He asked, concerned after taking in your red face and teary eyes.

When you shushed him and abruptly wrapped him in a tight hug, he simply put his arms around you and reciprocated with double the enthusiasm, rocking both of you slightly. You nuzzled his neck while he rested his chin on your shoulder, eyes closed, taking in each other’s scent, after eons it felt. “I’ve missed you. I’ve missed you so much!” You said when finally you found your voice. “I’ve missed you too love. More than you’ll ever know.” You could hear his smile in his words. He understood, wordlessly, that this was the reason for your tears. That coming home without his presence had broken you. It made his heart swell.

“When did you come back?” You asked moving away your head but still in his arms. “Last night, more in the morning actually.” He smiled “Weren’t you suppose to come next week?” you asked. “I wanted to surprise you at the airport. Told you the wrong date. Fuck I messed it up” He shook his head while running his hands over his hair. Gone was the aftermath of the peaky cut as you stared at his cropped up hair. Touching them you said “Are you kidding? This is the best surprise ever!” You touched your forehead with his. Closing your eyes, your nose touched his as his breath fused with yours. He lightly grabbed your face and kissed you once. Moving away just to look at you, as if asking permission. You tilted you face and kissed him, deeper and with much more passion. Intermingling your arms behind his neck as his went to your waist kneading and rubbing your skin through your dress, desperate to feel you.

He quickly rolled in a way that you found yourself underneath him on the bed and got his lips back on yours. His lips moved from your mouth to your neck, leaving wet, breathy kisses in their wake. “Cillian! I need to take a shower first” you halfheartedly protested. “Later.” He mumbled against your collarbone. So that was that.

His hands had already pulled your dress halfway up as he settled between your legs, naked you realized then, he was naked. He always slept naked. Even in the winters, he’d mentioned once and you loved it. Mostly because how convenient it became when it came to sex, which you both loved to have a lot. He had lost weight. Loads of it. He was losing it before going, following a strict plant based diet but as you touched his sides you could feel his ribs underneath your touch. But it was part of the job and you knew how determined and focused Cillian became when it came to his work.

The way he carelessly discarded the duvet on the floor made you giggle at his excitement. “What’s so funny eh?” he smirked, raising an eyebrow, his face a breath away. You again noticed his cropped hair. “Your hair…” you said running your hand over them, “And?” he raised an eyebrow, “I don’t like them. I can’t run my hands through them. I miss your curls!” you pouted. “It’s just hair love, it’ll grow back. They always do. And you didn’t complain when I had the peaky cut yeah?” he said between kisses.

“I could pull on them, with this there is just no way…” You smiled showing him how you couldn’t even grab them in your hand. His mouth touching yours, lips hovering over each other in the most intimate way. You could feel him hardening between your legs “Oh I know… you do it when I make you feel good eh? When I make you come!” He whispered the last part near your ear making a shiver run down your spine. You blushed as he moved in to kiss you again. His tongue entered your needy mouth. It was just you and him, nothing else existed or mattered in the moments that followed. C’mon now do it!” He cocked an eyebrow shaking his head but then did close them. You placed the black ribbon tied box on his lap.

“Oh Y/N you really didn’t have to do it love!” he admonished. “Don’t be silly my dearest Cillian. It’s your birthday! C’mon now open it!” He worked on the ribbon as you sat folding your knees beneath you and bit your nails in anticipation. You hoped he’d like it.

It was a Rolex. You’d seen him eyeing it from a magazine so you’d made a note. He was like that. He never asked for anything outright or showed his feeling like that, one had to be very observing to know what pleased him. His mouth opened, “How did you…? I’ve never said a word… wow…” His face was turning red now. “See I know you Cillian Murphy. I know you like my own danm heart!” he shook his head. “C’mon now put it on. I want to see how it looks.” And he did. You closed the clasp before he held his arm up for you to see. It looked absolutely incredible. He couldn’t stop smiling. He was actually quite surprised how you’d known, trying to think hard if he’d actually mentioned it to you. Nope, he hadn’t, he was sure. “Thank you…” he mumbled, unable to stop smiling. “Oh Mr. Murphy…” you bit your lip before pushing him back and climbing on top of him.

After lazily making out some more, you pushed him away to take a shower. Traveling always made you feel filthy afterwards, so as a ritual you always took a shower the first thing after reaching home. This time however, Cillian had very demandingly interrupted that ritual, and you had loved every single minute of it.

i feel like I could join in with the bullying Yeetlegay crowd for updates instead of watching and eating popcorn, but I really need to say something. THANK YOU. You've taken a beloved movie, rewritten for gay purposes and you've removed some of what I didn't like about the movie, at least I think you have. Stupid theory/headcanon/fangirling incoming!

I don’t think we ever find out exactly how Jiang FengMian found WWX--in both the donghua and live action he just shows up randomly in Yiling, cuz it’s close to Lotus Pier I guess.

HOWEVER! The donghua added this WILD scene that’s never mentioned anywhere else, how the Lan clan was visiting Yiling back when WWX was living on the streets, and that Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian had actually met as kids!

The scene with LWJ & WWX, and the scene with JFM & WWX are told out of order (IDER which episodes they’re in), but logic dictates that LWJ must have bumped into WWX first, given him the toy; then sometime later WWX was attacked by dogs and rescued by JFM & adopted.

But check this: what if LWJ and the Lan clan were actually visiting the Jiang clan at Lotus Pier (on super important cultivation business, IDGAF), and Lan Wangji TOLD THEM about the homeless kid he gave his toy away to, and that’s how JFM knew where to find WWX!? 😲🤯😲🤯😲🤯

SO LWJ HAS BEEN THE GOAT SINCE CHILDHOOD! 😭 Happy Hanguang-Jun(e) Month indeed!

Things have been going okay. Just a little busy at work and been playing video games and reading at home when I get free time. But to answer your other question, I do like Bach. I’ve been getting into classical music lately. And honestly, Hilary Hahn does wonderful violin pieces of it. I do prefer her Sibelius over Bach or Beethoven concertos. There’s something so soothing about the violin pieces like how the orchestra and violin compliment each other so well. ((I don’t know if that made sense or not)). Do you prefer Bach over other composers?

How’s it going with you? I hope it’s going well. It’s so nice being able to chat with you even if it’s sometimes few and far between. But I really like talking to you!

Valentine’s Day is coming up on the fourteenth of this month. So, Happy Early Valentine’s Day! 🍫💐❤️ ((digital flowers, and chocolate for you as a gift)) Are there any traditions or anything special you guys do for Valentine’s Day? We just do classic assorted chocolate and flowers, but other gifts happen for couples like jewelry and such. And people typically go out for a nice dinner that day too.

And getting into classical music is one of the most awesome things one can do, I hope you find joy in it! I've practically grown up with it and I really, really like it. I also get that you like Hilary Hahns playing, although it's not what I usually listen to. I'm a big fan of the old maestros such as Oistrakh or Menuhin. And your question really is difficult! Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven... they are all geniuses and masters of their art. But Bach - he is for me the grandmaster of all music, so to speak. xD

It's not even his concertos, be it with soloists or grand orchestra, that impress me the most, but rather his sacral music. He composed many oratories for special occasions like christmas, easter, ascension and so on, but they are not as internationally famous as his concertos since they all have German texts. Again, I prefer the older recordings over newer ones haha

Writing paragraphs really happens faster than you'd expect when talking about music lol

And how has it been going with me? Well, now I need to think lmao - it has been much more stressful than a few weeks ago, but it's still fun :)

And now back to Valentine's Day. Here in Germany it is being celebrated by a number of people, but not the majority as there is no tradition behind it. Everything we do here is more or less directly imported from the US, so our gifts etc look very similar.

There is actually a video of a tv-interview with a guy being questioned about Valentine's day that's really famous here in Germany, and I found a version with English subtitles 😭 this video is so. Hilarious. (Please don't think all Germans are like that tho-)

Copy machine is one of my favorites lmao I immediately thought of Jimin being the best friend but maybe that’s me just being a libra and giddy when Jimin’s nosy and meddling in everything bc I absolutely would do the same 🤣 that’s why Jimin is always in everyone’s business when I write for him 🤣 a lot happened during that weekend like sometimes you just click with someone (but also being cautious is important) but in fiction I love it lmao she even wore his shirt to work 🥲 I was gonna have them do it at her desk but it’s open floor (idk if that’s what it’s called bc I’ve never worked in an office) but then I changed it so they wouldn’t be interrupted 👀

Ah butterfly!hobi. 😭 I love him so much 🥰 it’s hard writing bc I don’t wanna add stuff that may contrast (?) the original plot line (tho I have no plot line I just wanted tattooed!bangtan smut 🥴) I have some stuff written for the next chapter but Jimin and Mc haven’t interacted on a solo level and that may have been their first kiss? Unless I write something else 👀

oshdkfj HELP? we're seriously telepathic at this point it's kind of scary... even more so because i've noticed this is Constantly happening to me and it's like, i'll tell someone we're telepathic as a joke at first, and suddenly it's not a joke anymore LMFAOO i think i'm the problem 😞 (fun fact: i'm really good at accidentally manifesting it's like midas touch but with words)

i've been well for the most part though n i hope you have too! i've just been preoccupied with school, playing the sims 4, or decorating toploaders...! i will literally do anything and everything except write; which sucks because i was really excited about this idea and i wanted to finish it by this month, but i haven't made any real progress with writing the storyline or mundane scenes so i don't think that's happening unless i suddenly get a burst of inspiration turned motivation. also, i know some people say that if you get stuck you should work on something else entirely or write a different scene, so i did both of those and here i am again... with two unfinished fics but complete ideas.

the ideas never stopping but the motivation does is actually so real and True though like omfg? i think with myself and my writing style in particular, i absolutely can't let myself get distracted, otherwise my source or motivation is entirely lost and difficult to get back again. i'll constantly get super immersed in a story, outline every last detail and write bits and pieces here and there, but actually writing/finishing and posting it seems to always end up being my problem and . idk how to fix it ?! like i have way too many story outlines in my notes that at this point i think i should just rebrand my blog and make it an idea bank for writers seeing how my own writing does Not want to see the light of day Ever

I’ve been well also! Life’s been a bit busy these past few weeks, but I’m finally getting some free time again,, hopefully this means I’ll have more time to write too

but omg I totally understand what you mean! Sometimes writers block is so intense that nothing helps, and now I’m stuck with so many more drafts it’s actually driving me insane..

And yes!! Mundane scenes are soooo hard to write!! It’s literally whats keeping me from my boxer tae and loser gyu fics, like they need to be there for character development but oh lord is it getting boring for me to write ! I’m also the same way with writing— I need to stay in one place and remain focused or else that fic is not getting touched again 😭 and if I don’t stop writing at an interesting scene it’s over for me

I usually avoid outline my stories in detail it’s insane 💀 the only one I’ve done a full outline on was OYD, and most of it was a voice recording of me incoherently throwing ideas out; after that I took the key points and wrote them down (then I added important details i needed to remember as I wrote)

I always wing my stories which is why I always have to go back and add stuff in LMAO it’s not the best method but it works most of the time…! Then when I’m about to stop a writing session I leave a vague checklist of stuff I wanna write (like scenes and stuff) and hope I touch it again </3

Making ur account an idea bank is such a mood I have so many good stories that are just gathering dust bc my inspiration is dried out 😭 I also hope you’re able to find motivation and inspiration for your stories, it’s such a frustrating feeling to have writers block and I’d love to see your stories !

LITERALLY ME TOO!!!
