WELCOME TO VANNY'S COME BACK!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
sasuke was hard to read. you never really understood why he looked at you the way he did, but it was always different than how he looked at others. even more than the way he eyed naruto, the pure shallowness in his eyes when he bored into yours showed almost hatred. you never knew why.
kakashi was your uncle, so oftentimes you were with him and his team, wielding naruto uzumaki, sasuke uchiha, and sakura haruno, and became quite good friends with them. well, everyone but sasuke who you just didn't talk to much.
you knew much about him though, through sakura. she'd always talk of him, "sasuke" this, "sasuke" that. "sasuke is so handsome" "sasuke is so great" "he's so strong".. you grew bored of hearing the name.
the older the group got, the more sasuke had grown to achieve his goal to provide vengeance for the uchiha name. it seemed to be the most of what he'd cared about.
"sasuke, it's too dangerous to leave the village! you're not gonna go find him yourself are you?" sakura had yelled as sasuke walked towards the border that marked the end of the leaf. you saw the pain in her eyes as she fell to her knees and tears began to fall down her cheeks. you watched emotionlessly as sasuke turned around, and he eyed you one last time, that same look of hatred he'd always only shown you. before he walked away, he looked at sakura, as she was wailing on the ground, staring at it, and then looked at you again, and he let out what was almost a laugh, and he left.
not caring much, you helped sakura get up off the ground and walked her over to where naruto had been standing, hugging her before trading her off to him. you didn't even think sakura noticed much that you handed her off. "you take care of her," you said, walking towards the village.
"do you just not care?" naruto said, not even moving to look at you. "you don't care that he just left like that? it didn't hurt you at all?" he sounded almost mad that you hadn't a care.
you smiled, not turning back. "why should i care? he's finally following his dreams, let him do what he wants." your voice fades off the further you walk away from the two.
it wasn't hard to understand why the two of them were hurt by sasuke's decision, after all, that was their teammate. but when did he ever vow commitment to them? he didn't. which is why you don't think it's so awful. you also didn't have a connection with sasuke, so why it would bother you was a mystery.
the walk to your apartment felt longer than it should have, especially when it started to rain.
about a week later, you were in your apartment, reading. it was a book called "the end", a long book that you'd been reading for a little while.
it was the knock at your door that surprised you out of the trance you were in while reading your book. you got up and answered it only to be surprised by who was there.
there were no words exchanged when sasuke pushed his way into your apartment. he was surprisingly clean for someone who'd apparently left the village for battle. in fact, he'd looked freshly showered and his clothes were also clean.
a few moments pass until a word is spoken. "it didn't bother you, at all?" his voice was deep, but unscathed, and it hadn't sounded like he went through anything difficult.
"looking good for someone who left the leaf to fight his brother, someone with so much power, no way you don't have a scratch on you." you scoff.
he looked into your eyes, though, this time, it was something else. not hatred. he didn't look bored. he looked hungry. like a lion looking at a deer that's all alone in the wild.
"that's not why i left." is all he says until about 30 seconds pass. you assumed he was searching for some excuse. "i just didn't want to be here anymore." he shrugged.
involuntarily your eyes roll, "so you left your team? left your home?".
"yeah." he sighs in a deep outward breath. he hadn't a care for what anyone thought about what he did. but for some reason, he cared about what you thought about him leaving. "you, though; you didn't care."
"was i supposed to? did you want me to get on my knees like this–" you begin, getting on your knees in front of him as he looks down at you. "and yell, 'no sasuke! please don't leave! the village needs you! i need you, sasuke! you're my hero!'.." you pretended to whine.
he smirked down at you, and now you stared back at him with doe eyes, waiting for his response. why were you still on your knees? why were you suddenly staring at him with such lust? why was he giving you those eyes.?
sasuke's hand tucked the hair that covered your face behind your ear before leaning down to your level. "so pretty down there for me.." his voice lowers to almost a whisper and his face gets closer to yours, he gets close to your ear to where you can feel his hot breath hitting it, "almost looks like you're ready for something else."
you'd never admit how that sentence made something inside you feel like it was exploding, and how it created a damp spot between your legs.
"im ready for you to leave." you trembled, no confidence in your voice. that wasn't true. you hadn't wanted him to leave. you wanted him to show you what he thought you were ready for.
sasuke stood up, "you don't want that, it's clear to see. your acting was much better when you were whining for me." he pauses before starting to speak again. "all you have to say are three words and i'll do the rest.." he chuckles.
"what three words?" you ask, curiosity making you wonder what he expected from you.
"all you have to say is 'i want you', and you can have me. but unless, it is, that you don't want that, then i may as well leave now." his voice was low, yet filled with hunger. he groaned softly at your no response, you'd only stare into his eyes until he'd look away and stand up.
the third step he took towards the door had your mouth agape, "wait." you say so soft you figured he may not have heard it. you hesitate to say those three forbidden words you had to convince yourself not to say right when he'd said it. sasuke stayed standing there, about two steps from the door, waiting for your response. you hummed quietly and looked down at your thighs, how they rubbed together at attempt to create any sort of friction that could ease the growing neediness in-between your legs.
"i want you."
sasuke let out what you believe was a laugh or a scoff or something before turning around. "i knew you'd give in."
"you're just soo irresistible, you narcissist." you smirk.
he made his way back to where he'd been standing in front of you, "shut up." he said with a cocky grin on his face, beginning to unbuckle the belt he'd been wearing with those dress pants. he was wearing black dress pants, dress shoes, a white button up. why he was dressed like that was the last thing on your mind at the time though. he didn't bother taking the belt from the belt loops but instead left it hanging, pants still loose enough to slide down, but he didn't do that.
"you want it?" he said in a laugh. "i mean, right here? right now? you want me?" he just wanted validation, you could see in his black, soulless eyes how bad he craved it from you. how badly he wanted to hear how much you needed him.
you let out a groan, letting your hands fall limp into your lap as you roll your eyes. you look up at him with the biggest, most needy it was pitiful to look at eyes with pure lust and need, they were watering of it. "it sure looks it, don't it?" you pout and spread your legs underneath you, beginning to rock yourself back and forth as to practically grind against the floor.
"you're insatiable." sasuke sighed breathlessly. "and annoying. should've shut you up ages ago."
sliding his pants along with his boxers down to pool at his ankles, you understood why sasuke had the reputation he did. there was no doubt that it was big, it mattered to you how he used it.
"go on, suck on it." he said with a shit eating grin as he stared down into your wide eyes.
taking his cock into both hands you begun to lick a long stripe all the way up before swirling your tongue around his tip, gliding your hand up to take your thumb to his glistening pre that began to wet him. moving your hand back down and continuing that motion before you finally take his length into your mouth. you look up at him as you do so, seeing his sharp jawline as his head fell slightly back from the pleasure.
his hand comes entangled in your hair as you bob on his length, him pulling at the roots slightly until he begun to pull harder. he pulled your hair and pushed you back onto his length at the speed he wanted to be going at, and it was no longer in your control.
practically face fucking you, his hips bucking, and his voice lowly groaning. you grabbed his wrist, surprising a low gasp to erupt from him, with your other hand cupping his balls before moving to his shaft, you took your head off his length before using your free hand to move up and down his cock. you breathed heavily as you hadn't gotten a chance to really breathe in a couple minutes.
laughing, you say breathlessly, "i want something now."
sasuke chuckles lowly and his hand goes to his forehead, looking up at the ceiling before his head falls to look at you. "is that how this goes?"
you nod your head up and down with a smile on your face. you grab his shirt and begin to stand, sasuke grabbing your arms to help you stand up entirely. this contact felt almost too intimate, the reason why you haven't kissed or anything. in reality, you almost wanted to, but you felt he possibly wasn't looking for that kind of a romantic act.
but god seeing his face so close to yours had you wanting to see just how it felt, even if short lasted.
"what are you thinking about?" he asked, seeing the perplexity on your face.
"it's nothing." your eyes dart down to look at his chest, slightly revealed from the top buttons being undone from his shirt. you look at the way that he's holding you, so close, holding your arms in his hands and not letting go. you sigh.
sasuke's head tilts slightly and his face moves to your neck, you can feel his hot breath before you feel his lips attach to the soft skin of your nape.
a small moan slips out and your hands go to his back, scratching at it and pulling him in closer. he moves up closer to your ear, to your jaw, making sure to leave little stains across the skin.
once his face leaves your neck, the look he gives you, him breathing heavy, and his hands now on your waist, yours on his biceps. and then he kissed you.
it was passionate but short lived, until he did it again. short lived again. "stop" you giggle, seeing the smirk on his face and your hands go to either side of his head, pulling him in to kiss you, and holding him there so he can't back away again.
he walks you over to your couch not too far from where the two of you are already standing, still kissing in the meantime.
sasuke hums into your mouth before the kiss separates. without words, his hands tug at the bottom of your tank top as he looks into your eyes almost for unspoken permission before he pulls it off over your head. impatiently, you pull down your short little skirt, pulling down your panties along with it before you sit down on the couch. you close your legs before anything happens, though. "why?" you ask. "i mean, why are we doing this now.."
"not sure." sasuke shrugs. "you ever wanted to do this with me before?"
you nod, "never really thought about it.. you?"
"oh yeah." he laughs. "how could i not?"
spreading your legs for him, you rub your clit yourself, but he looks into your eyes, putting a hand on your knee, his other holding his cock to your dripping hole.
sliding in, it feels almost painful at first before a wave of pleasure when he thrusts into you a third time at a relatively fast pace.
"so wh.. why did you come here— ugh. to begin with,.. sasuke?" you moan out, attempting at a regular sentence while he abuses your cunt.
he groans, "why are you talking?" he thrusts harder, faster. "just shut up.. talk– after." his hands go to your hips when your moans grow louder.
a slur of curses flow out of your mouth when you feel him in your tummy, your head falling back and moans becoming even louder. it felt so good the way he pulsed in and out of you, the way he took his thumb to play with your clit while his other four fingers press down on your lower stomach, reeling new realms of pleasure.
making grabby arms at his biceps before scratching his back so hard you probably left red marks on it, "fuck fuck fuck, please.." you moan out to him, feeling your high on its way. "sasuke.. im gonna— uggh im gonna.."
"c'mon baby, come on, cum for me, baby," sasuke groans, "come on im so close let's cum together, come onn..."
feeling yourself let go, and your walls being painted white was ethereal and otherworldly. grinding out your high, you and sasuke's loud breathing was pretty much the only sound bouncing off the walls anymore.
with barely any breath left, you still wanted an answer to your previous question. "answer my question."
"i wanted you."

Top 5 fucked up things that happend in Naruto?
This lived in my drafts for quite a while as I went back and forth with just a top five. I don't think this is in any particular order, because good god these people have suffered. Also, please note that I haven't read or watched Boruto and know nothing about it, so whatever atrocities occur there are mysteries to me.
That time Rin committed suicide by jumping into Kakashi's Chidori, then everyone started calling him Friend Killer Kakashi and even he believes he murdered his teammate in cold blood for the good of the village.
When Minato decided to make his minutes-old son the Kyuubi container and then swiftly leave him as an orphan, and Hiruzen thought the best thing to do would be to let the village terrorize him and leave him without the protection of his powerful, beloved parents' legacies.
Nagato going off the deep end after Yahiko got murdered and deciding to use his dead bestie's body as one of his paths, forcing Konan (who may or may not have been romantically linked with Yahiko, but at the very least was another childhood best friend) to interact with his corpse for years to come as Nagato's real body rotted in the basement.
Orochimaru's whole child experimentation/abduction/murder/body snatching extravaganza is just...horrific. He truly is a plague upon the elemental nations, and I believe if Tobirama were Hokage when Orochimaru started to get weird, he would have been put down like a mad dog. Maybe Minato would have tried to do it had he lived long enough, too.
You can't have a list of fucked up Naruto things without mentioning the obvious Uchiha massacre. Village-sanctioned genocide perpetuated by a 13-year-old family member and his insane cousin masquerading as their equally-insane ancestor is some dark shit, and that's not even getting to the other related factors (re: eyeball snatching, the Sasuke of it all, Divine Intervention via moon goddess planting the seeds of it happening at all).

How Genin Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, Hinata, Sakura, Rock Lee react to going on a go mission in a long time and when they return the reader is waiting for them at the gate and is so happy that they are back that he hugs them and ends up knocking them down and doesn't let go of them for a while and stays with them all day. (The reader and they are in love with each other)
author's note: First post in a long time! I took a little bit of a liberty with some of the characters, but the general idea is there for all of them. It was a while since I got this request and I was working off of the material I had written in my Google Drive (and the majority of this request was written two months ago), so if you would like me to rewrite some of the entries please let me know. I can do that. For now, though, I hope you all enjoy!

summary: Greeting the genins when they come back from a long mission!
Uzumaki Naruto
When returning from a week away, Naruto is dorking out to Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi about how he totally helped out when the enemy was attacking the three of them. Sakura gets in a word about how he was tussling with cats, not enemy shinobi, before you leapt off a roof onto Naruto’s back.
The unexpected piggyback ride leaves him stumbling and bristling, screaming, “WHO IS THAT?!” In response, you lock your legs around his torso and grip his shoulders through the flailing, giggling like a maniac. When he hears your laugh, Naruto whips his head up to get a glimpse of you and… well… this has the result you’d think it would.
The back of his head slams into your nose and you release your grip, the two of you now nursing matching wounds as the rest of Team 7 stands off to the side watching the show with deadpan expressions.
“What was that for, Uzumaki? I was just trying to say hi!” you would quip, pointing a finger from your free hand at him, your other pressing into your face to quell the pain.
“It’s not MY fault that I was ambushed!” he would yell, pointing back at you. At this point, you two were attracting the attention of the civilians and Team 7 needed to drag you two away forcefully.
After the two of you calmed down, you ended up apologizing for scaring Naruto with your silly prank. He laughs it off and accepts, saying it was an accident and that it was pretty funny and harmless in the end. He even offers you another piggyback ride around the village, this time without the headbutting, which causes your heart to beat a little faster as you accept.
Uchiha Sasuke
As usual after returning to Konoha with Team 7, the only people to greet them at the gate were Sakura’s parents. Naruto darted off to… wherever the hell he goes to cause mayhem, while Kakashi simply vanished into the air, leaving Sasuke to make his way home alone. To the empty Uchiha compound. He always took the long way.
However, this particular day, it seemed that he had a shadow — you. Sasuke knew you’d been following him since about halfway through his walk home, when he spotted your ninja garb through the crowds swiftly taking cover in an alleyway. Half of him was always irked by your insistence that you spend time with him. Didn’t you have anything else better to do? But the shameless part of him, the one that yearned for a friend, was thankful that you took the time out of your day to be with him despite his prickly and cold attitude. Besides Team 7, you were the only one that ever kept trying; only you could possibly understand the motives behind that decision. Does he feel guilty about it? Yes, damn it, he does. He should be focused on his goals, not whatever the hell this is. Something in him is healing, though. And tells him to let you in. Just a little bit.
On the threshold of the compound, you stepped from Sasuke’s peripheral and appeared with a bag of treats. “Hey, Sasuke!” you greeted with a wide smile. “I saw you got back while I was out in the markets,” You noted the scrapes and bruises over his body, as well as the state of his clothing and his sour expression. “Rough mission?”
He would respond with an affirmative noise, taking the bag from your hands and leading the way to his house. There, you would chew his ear off with stories about your training and small missions while he sat in silence, sharpening his dull kunai and shuriken from the mission. The rest of the compound may have been haunted by the ghosts of the massacre, but right now, something in Sasuke felt a little bit at ease in that household for the first time in years as you and him munched on junk food together.
Hyuga Neji
The second that you get word that Team Guy is expected to return from their long-term mission, you plant yourself at the gates to welcome them back. They must be far away, however, since you’ve been lounging with the guards for way too long, playing cards and gossiping about practically every other shinobi in the village.
In the blink of an eye, one after another, two flashes of green speed through the gates, leaving clouds of dust billowing. The draft from, assumedly, Lee and Guy’s movements, sent the cards from your game of blackjack spiraling into the air. The chunin assigned guard began lunging for everyone’s cards to get an upper hand, leaving you to struggle for just your own. You had a damn good hand, too! At least you thought? Of course this would happen…
Tenten shot by soon after, begging for her sensei and team mate to “please stop this nonsense”. It barely occurred to you, though, that the one person you were looking for was still missing as you lunged and grabbed for your cards. Your vision had tunneled up with your head, your gaze flickering to the… Huh? Where your cards were once fluttering in the air is now only blue sky.
“Hey!” you shouted, whipping your head down and around. “Which one of you took my cards? Picking on the genin, are you? How—”
“I have them right here,” a voice snarked from your left, putting five fanned-out cards right over your field of vision. “You should probably fold soon. You’ve only got seven out of twenty-one. Unless you’re the one that bet that entire pile of chocolate.”
“Neji! You’re back too!” You snatched the cards from his outstretched hand and turned to the regrouped chunin, throwing your cards down on the dirt face-up. “I fold.” In one fluid motion, you turned and took Neji’s wrapped forearm in your hand, taking him into the streets of Konoha. He opened his mouth to complain, but not before you shut him right up with a wide smirk, telling him this is exactly what he advised.
Hyuga Hinata
Daring not to sprint with the delicate pastries in your grasp, you walked hastily towards the main entrance of Konoha. Team Eight was supposed to already be there. Have you missed them? Maybe Kiba held them up somewhere along the way following some random animal’s poop scent for a prank. That situation would certainly not be ideal, but at least you would be able to see Hinata the second she got back to the village.
Unfortunately, you seemed to be a little late as you caught her in the shadow of the shopping crowds. You approached in her direct view and waved to make sure she wasn’t shocked too much. But you still enjoyed the slight flush of her cheeks and little smile that you could only catch if you were truly paying attention to her.
“Hinata!” you called, handing the box to her as she whispered a greeting in return. “I got you these pastries! I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go find somewhere around to hang out and eat them with me?”
“Oh!” She reached out and snatched the offering with a swiftness you didn’t know she possessed. Still holding it out, Hinata bowed to you with a small “thank you!” coming out before she panicked and took off with an air of sorrow. What you didn’t see was her blush shoot up to her ears and down her neck.
“Ah! No, I wanted to share them!” you sighed with a laugh, beginning the chase. I wanted to spend time with you! Hinata does, too. She just needs a minute to get that darn blush off of her face! Though, when you do catch up with her and sit down, you note that her ears stayed red the rest of the day.
Haruno Sakura
Sakura really wasn’t sure what the heck all of the petals were for. She was initially shocked senseless when her parents weren’t there to greet Team Seven. Everyone milled by like they didn’t exist. Naruto wanted to drag everyone to Ichiraku’s, but being tired of his nonsense after the past week, Sakura allowed her attention and stride to wander away from the group after giving a half-hearted farewell. When she rounded a corner, a cherry blossom petal in the breeze caught her attention.
She thought it wasn’t even cherry blossom season. Was this a genjutsu? Or maybe they were fake. Determined now to find out, Sakura began to follow upwind, the direction from which the petals came from. The further she worked into the forest, the more she was convinced it was a genjutsu — she could smell the cherry blossom. Her hand twitched over her kunai strap as she worked her chakra network overtime to disrupt the illusion.
Awaiting at the destination was what seemed to be a massive pool of the pink petals. If Sakura wasn’t convinced this was some sort of trap, she would be in awe of the beauty surrounding her. A completely normal summer forest with a pocket of spring right here.
“You won’t find any disruptions in your network because there’s no genjutsu.” You rounded a tree trunk, a picnic basket in hand. “I just wanted to get you away from your team for the rest of the day. You’ve probably had more than enough of them.”
“Oh my gosh. Oh my GOSH. You are the best!” Sakura squealed, jumping down from the trees, hugging and twirling you.
You invite her to sit on the blanket of petals you set up, preserves you managed to purchase with your savings from Ino’s family’s store. (Of course, you’d never tell her that.) It seems like you’re able to guess all of her favorite foods and drinks as you whip them out of the basket comedically, pretending to summon everything like a magician.
Until sundown, the two of you are able to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the quiet ambiance of the surrounding forests of Konoha, the only noises being your uproarious laughter and soft gossip breaking just over the static of the leaves in the wind.
Rock Lee
(The same beginning situation as Neji’s, so if it’s familiar, that’s why!)
You take off after them across the rooftops without thinking, wanting to greet Lee. Vaguely behind you, you can hear Neji and Tenten yelling at them to stop, that their race was supposed to be over at the gate. It took a good few moments before they actually were able to pump the brakes and de-accelerate, kicking up the dirt road.
You, however, purposefully ram yourself into Lee’s back from above like a hawk, giving him a hug that almost puts him out on the ground. “Welcome back! I missed you,” you yell, interrupting his argument with Guy-sensei on who stepped over the threshold first. He greets you warmly after recovering from the shock, returning your hug with just as much vigor. “I am sorry for leaving for so long, but we are back!”
“Ah, how wonderful youth is!” You forgot that Guy-sensei was right there, so you withdrew, a bit bashful. “Let me ask you, young (Y/N), who did you see enter the village first? You were there, right?”
You confess that in all honesty, you were not focused on that at all, just the fact that your friends were all back. At this point, Tenten and Neji catch up, ready to give the lecture of a life. Which is why you’re not surprised at all when your ride spins around and takes off to avoid the scolding, laughing and trying to figure out where the two of you want to lead them for a post-mission meal.

was watching the vote fight today (naruto vs. sasuke, the first one) and .. something something naruto is the one who starts the fight but his violence is not malicious, its desperate. sasuke is indifferent to him (he acts so at least) and he doesnt wanna listen to him and naruto at first just doesnt know what to do and so he just beats him up and at some point even asks "what is wrong with u, why are u acting like this?" (meaning why doesnt he react properly) but then at some point sasuke starts fighting back but HIS violence IS malicious and it is meant to hurt. in the end he cant go thru with killing him but he does want to hurt him i think. and its a shock to naruto .. even tho he started the fight, he didnt think sasuke would react like this and its the same thing with madara & hashirama back then at the same place as well. madara. he doesnt know what to do. doesnt know how to reach hashirama so he chooses the one thing he can think of: violence. (and he also collects the cells etc etc but like. madara at this point isnt fully decided yet, he more so at this point wants to get thru to hashirama. maybe hashirama here can do something or say something to change his mind after all). naruto, contrary to madara, does try to communicate here with sasuke (with words) but his words fall on deaf ears. sasuke has made up his mind. not abt killing him but abt pursuing itachi/orochimaru's power and leaving konoha, his life and naruto behind him. madara has Not made his mind up yet abt leaving the village. leaving hashirama behind but like hashirama. he has made up his mind abt what his priorities are here. madara's calls for help .. they fall on deaf ears. madara does tell him a bit abt why he's unhappy and frustrated abt where the village is going, he even shows him the stone tablet .. and tells him that he has a plan. that there's smth behind their shared dream, that he's gonna pursue it now. and he wants him to chase him. just like naruto in the end chases sasuke. but hashirama, he doesnt listen and madara ALSO is the one who incites their fight but his violence Also is not malicious. it is not meant to kill. its an act of trying to establish connection somehow. of trying to somehow make himself heard just like naruto is trying to make himself heard when he punches sasuke in the face and screams at him to respond something to him. to give him something, at least anything. the one whose violence becomes malicious in the end here is also hashirama and the one who is shocked is also madara .. despite having started the fight. naruto, when sasuke pierces his body with his chidori is shown to think abt how he has to give everything now .. sasuke does want to hurt him. naruto has to do anything in his power now to level up to him, otherwise he wont be able to save him (he still thinks abt saving him. he doesnt think abt this in like, terms of "my friend is hurting me and i have to defend myself". the goal is still saving him). and so he raises the level of violence and power thru the help of the nine tails but it still is not meant to be hurtful. it is still smth he does cuz he's desperate. he has no other choice. madara and him, they are both desperate, and they choose violence as the only means they can think of to keep their most trusted loved ones with them and close to them somehow .. even if it is just for a moment (this goes for madara. there is no saving involved here, he wants hashirama to save Him, if at all). they both do not know what to do besides inciting a huge violent conflict and theyre shocked when the other party responds with ill-intended or deadly violence in turn. cuz for them (sasuke & hashirama), their bonds have to end now so their violence is aimed not at enabling or keeping connection but cutting it

Fallen for a Common Villager
Tumblr media
Shisui Uchiha: Falling for someone who isn’t a Ninja isn’t a big deal for Shisui Uchiha. Sure, the Clan would rather he date a person who isn’t ‘weak’ or ‘fragile’, but, it’s really not up to them at the end of the day. The only thing that matters to Shisui is you. The way you watch him train for hours on end nearly every single day, the way you cook him a delicious meal when he returns home from a mission and the way you run your fingers through his hair to help him fall asleep.
He would be super protective of you, too. (I think all of the Uchiha men would be super protective of their wives tbh) Making sure that you hold his hand when you cross the road together, immediately jumps in to help you if something goes wrong in the kitchen (that Body Flicker Technique is hella useful) and when you’re reaching for your dropped cutlery on the floor, he will place his hand on the edge of the table where your head is so that you don’t hit it on the way back up.
Speaking of being protective, he will definitely keep you sheltered from his job as a Ninja as much as he can. He absolutely loves watching your eyes sparkle when he shows you a new jutsu or technique that he’s learned, but he will hardly ever talk about his missions. Someone as precious as you does NOT need to know about any blood he himself or his teammates had spilled whilst they were gone, and don’t even get him started on enemies infiltrating the Leaf Village. When he’s called into action, he’ll tell you that he needs to help protect the Village and the people in it, but that he loves you so much and needs you to stay as far away from the fighting as you can. Then, he will pick you up bridal style and teleport the two of you out of harms way. Before he leaves, he will place a tender kiss to your forehead and snake his arms around you in a quick embrace, letting you know that you are his top priority. And you always will be.

Itachi Uchiha: Itachi never intended to fall in love, period, especially not with a woman who wasn’t a Ninja. After that fateful night of the Uchiha Clan slaughter and joining the Rogue Ninja group, the Akatsuki, he had plenty of time to contemplate every single choice he had made in his life. He played them constantly, on repeat, every single night. Furthermore, he had come to the conclusion that, 1) In order for his plan to come to fruition, he needed to die at the hands of his little brother, and 2) He was irrevocably in love with you.
How could this have happened? He had worked so damn hard for the sake of the Leaf Village, never once thinking about selfish things such as love and romance. But now… It’s all he could think about. Did you know what he had done? Do you believe that he was a monster? If both answers were yes, could you ever possibly return his feelings? All of these rhetorical questions were irritating him to the brink of insanity. He knew what he had to do.
He snuck out of the Akatsuki hideout when Pein and Konan were away and made the strenuous journey to the village hidden in the leaves. There, he discovered you in your apartment, reading a light novel in your living room. He took a deep breath, hesitated, but politely knocked on your front door. You were shocked to see who your midnight visitor was, but you trusted him just enough to step outside and allow him to speak. He was one of your childhood friends, after all. Once Itachi had confessed his feelings and explained his situation to you, you were gobsmacked. Understatement of the year. After taking a few seconds to breathe and fully understand Itachi’s words, you smiled and took his hand in yours. In that moment, Itachi’s mental load subsided and he stayed with you until you fell asleep. Before he left back to the Akatsuki hideout, he found a pen and paper in your kitchen and wrote a note for you, placing it directly on top of the novel you were reading previously. ‘Sweet dreams, my dear. I will be back before you know it. - Itachi’.

Sasuke Uchiha: If there is one of the Uchiha boys who never believed in love, it’s this guy. He had one goal in life and one goal only: Become stronger so that he can kill a certain someone. He believed that nothing could detour him from his path of revenge… Until he witnessed you in an argument with one of your family members. You had stormed out of the house in a fit of rage and angrily kicked your trash can over, the contents spilling onto the freshly trimmed lawn. You groaned in frustration and tears sparkled in your eyes thanks to the full moon. He watched you for a few moments, trying to talk himself out of his out-of-the-blue curiosity towards you.
Unfortunately, it could not be done. He stepped out of the shadows and looked pitifully down at you as you sobbed into your hands. He caught your attention with a cough and told you to stop crying. That there are worse things in this world to cry about. To his surprise, your sadness became anger once more and you stood to confront him. You told him exactly where he could shove his opinion and where he could go. He merely smirked, mildly entertained by your little outburst. This angered you even more and you raised your hand to slap him, unaware of who or what he actually was. He gripped your wrist and locked eyes with you, his midnight orbs made you audibly gasp. Sasuke tilted his head slightly to the side and his infamous smirk reappeared. Maybe he should take a different approach with this pretty one, just this once? The young Uchiha sighed and dropped your arm back to your side and introduced himself. Your tears dried and the conversation continued… It felt as if you had known this young man your whole life. Although his aura was spine-chilling, there was something in his eyes that attracted him to you. Ashamedly, Sasuke could say the same thing.
Eventually, Sasuke insisted that he should go, but neither of you wanted that to happen. You asked him whether you would ever see him again, and Sasuke’s breath hitched in his throat. The realisation that he actually wanted to see you again caught him by surprise. He could only nod and look away from you, not wanting you to catch him off-guard and lose his cool (he has his reputation to uphold, duh). After that night, Sasuke made it a side-mission to visit the Leaf Village more often than he would have liked to take moonlit strolls with you through the empty streets and talk about anything and everything that came to mind. It was usually you doing all the talking and the Uchiha would listen intently and hum when appropriate. It’s safe to say that Sasuke Uchiha was becoming more open to the idea of love thanks to you.

Hi there. I am sending this probably silly question because you are one of the few fans of both Sasuke and Itachi that I know, and this has been bugging me since the first time I watched Naruto.
So, Itachi wants Sasuke to be stronger, to kill him and go back to the village as a hero that killed an alleged Konoha traitor. But why does he tell him to kill his closest friend? I understand Itachi wants Sasuke to get the Mangekyou to get stronger, but this would surely make him a criminal in the eyes of Konoha. Also, I think it is unnecessary, since Sasuke could have gotten the Mangekyou after killing Itachi (which didn't happen in the end, but it was a possibility). I understand Itachi wanting to be sure, but still... He was risking way to much here.
It also does not make sense for Edo Tensei Itachi to "scold" Sasuke for being a "criminal" (he was not really scolding, but you get what I mean...) when he himself urged him to commit a way worse crime. So he says "I turned you into a criminal" but, actually, Sasuke never did what Itachi asked. I understand Itachi feels guilty for way more things than he deserves, and indeed he might be responsible for Sasuke leaving the village and going to Orochimaru to gain power for revenge... But anything that happened after Itachi's death was actually Sasuke's own decisions (decisions that came as a result of legit rage against Konoha for committing a genocide, of course).
I know Itachi was a child, traumatised, isolated and under inhumane pressure at the time. In these conditions, it is understandable that he did not make the best decisions, that he was not acting completely logically or thinking totally straight. I am not judging him in the slightest, I just would love to read your views on this.
Thank you and lots of love!
The rules of the Shinobi world are vastly different from those of ours. In the Shinobi world conflict is endless and lives hold different values than they do in ours. You may not face a trial for taking a life, much like you might not get a medal for saving one. Sakumo Hatake, for example, saved the lives of his comrades and ended up being shunned by the village, including the people whose lives he'd saved.
Itachi, after he killed his own parents, was leaving Sasuke in a place that had made him murder his own parents. Hiruzen was a weak shield and Danzo still lived in the village. Itachi wanted Sasuke to get strong, not only to kill him, but also to be able to protect himself in case Danzo made a move against him. An Uchiha, even with a simple Sharigan, was seen with fear. An Uchiha, with Mangekyo, would be formidable. Thinking from Itachi's POV, he was leaving Sasuke in a very hostile place, known for its belligerence towards Uchiha. What was a defenseless child supposed to do in case Danzo's Root came for him and Hiruzen proved useless? It didn't happen, but how would itachi know it wouldn't happen at all? Especially when Danzo did send Sai to kill Sasuke instead of letting a troop also follow them so they could take down Orochimaru, who had actually attacked the village.
Itachi had a flawed perception that as long as Sasuke lived, everything else he went through would be worth it, including his best friend's death. To him, Sasuke's life mattered, not a stranger's who might become his best friend. I believe he changed his mind later on when he met Sasuke and Naruto at the inn. He saw Naruto risking his own life, fighting for Sasuke despite being horrified of Itachi moments ago. It's probably after this that he made his mind to include one more objective to their final battle.
He also understood Sasuke didn't hate him at all. When he says 'you don't have enough hate', it's the truth, because when Sasuke learned Itachi was back and was after Naruto, he rushed to warn Naruto, but all he thought about was Itachi, their final day together before everything went wrong. And then he charged on Itachi, unprepared. We've known Sasuke to be calculative and in control of his emotions almost all the time. He loses it the moment he sees Itachi. Even if itachi tried to ignore him he wouldn't sit back. This wasn't the response of someone who had hate in his heart, but too much of emotional investment.
Yes. Itachi was always risking a lot. Him taking up the mission to annihilating his clan, then leaving Sasuke, and basically everything that followed - all of it was a gamble. Things could go either way. Sasuke had to be safe, for which he had to be protected all the time; but for him to become strong, Sasuke would have to train and practice, maybe go on potentially life threatening missions as well if he wanted to be strong enough to kill Itachi. Itachi's plan was always a double-edged sword. It could go either way.
Itachi blames himself for Sasuke's actions because he controlled a large portion of Sasuke's life. He did it unwillingly, in tears, in guilt, yes, but he did do it. Like I said above, he thought as long as Sasuke was safe it would be worth it. Itachi was somewhat responsible for Sasuke leaving Konoha, but not entirely. After Sasuke wakes up in the hospital, he challenges Naruto, because Naruto had suddenly become so strong. Even then he couldn't defeat Itachi. Then Sasuke, who had lived his whole life for the purpose of killing Itachi, was still no match for him. After Kakashi's pep talk, Sasuke even considers dropping the idea of revenge or at least struggles with it, thinking about Naruto, Sakura, and their bonding. Then Sound Four attack him. The rest is history.
After Itachi's death, while everything that Sasuke does is his own call, his own decisions, they still stem from the life Itachi made him live, and him not finding any closure. Yes, Itachi didn't want Sasuke to know the truth because he knew it would destroy him emotionally, and it happened exactly that way.
Itachi didn't scold Sasuke, he merely accepted where his plans failed. Itachi and Sasuke are very rich characters in terms of psychological depth. I'm no psychology student, but I love to read stuff here and there, and one pattern I've seen in both the brothers is that of 'age regression.'
When trauma impairs your ability to develop full emotional maturity, this is known as arrested psychological development. Trauma can “freeze” your emotional response at the age you experienced it. When you feel or act emotionally younger than your actual age, this is known as age regression.
Taken from this article. There's more to it, but I lifted the important part to answer this ask.
It's very common in how both Itachi and Sasuke respond. Many people say 'Itachi always saw Sasuke as a child to protect instead of a grown up' and he himself says this as Edo Tensei to Sasuke later on. I believe it's because, emotionally, he too never grew up beyond 12-13 and in some ways beyond four. To him he was never above 12 and Sasuke was never older than 7. All of his reactions to his life, however bad and with disastrous outcomes, are out of unresolved PTSD. It's the same with Sasuke and how he responds to his surroundings. Both of them were emotionally 'frozen' in the age they were traumatized. At the age of 12, even though Sasuke is too mature for his age, there's still the longing for his family and he remembers every single detail of his moments with them. Then after learning Itachi's truth too. I believe while he's a grown up now in Boruto, there's a part of him that's frozen in that moment when he found out about Itachi. Since Itachi isn't mentioned in Boruto and Sasuke's feelings for his family aren't the matter of discussion, I don't think I can prove this.
When Itachi saw what he'd made Sasuke - not a criminal or a monster - but a lonely, broken kid, he felt ashamed of himself. He feels so guilty because of his conscience. It's also because he was free from any obligation towards anyone after his death and was very flexible in face of new information that he admitted his wrongs.
Itachi, in fact, never realized what haopened to him was wrong too. His actions weren't spontaneous. On the contrary, they were the outcome of what was done to him. But unlike Sasuke and Kakashi, for instance, he did do many things wrong. Sasuke felt guilty for not being able to save his family, his clan, and then Itachi. Kakashi felt guilty for not being able to save Obito, then Rin. Even if it wasn't their fault. Itachi did a lot of things that were entirely unforgivable and he knew it too. So, his guilt outweighed any desire he might have had to acknowledge his trauma. He defined himself by the horrible things he'd done. Objectively, there would be a lot of nuances that you could consider, but fictional characters can never be objective.
When Hashirama praised Itachi, Itachi would never agree with him. When Sasuke called him perfect, Itachi disagreed with him. When Kabuto called him a genius/exceptional Itachi disagreed with him too.
Itachi felt nothing but regret his entire life, which eventually defined him as a person.

Inextricable Angst Ending
a/n: here's the angst ending! meant to be read after Sasuke is healed. it's painful im sorry
fluff ending // first part
Tumblr media
Kakashi was chosen to be the Sixth Hokage, and at the time you were thrilled. You knew Kakashi had what it takes to keep the village safe. He instills Itachi and Shisui as village heroes, which delights you. He’s able to pardon Sasuke for his crimes considering his war efforts and sacrifice to the village.
He hates what he has to do next. Ultimately he has to do it for the sake of the five hidden villages, they’ll never feel safe with the possibility. He’s watched you and Sasuke grow closer than ever before, and he can see the love you have for one another. So the day he calls the two of you into the Hokage’s office to announce these plans, his heart breaks. All Five Kage had thought about this painstakingly, and this was the best resolution.
“Sasuke, Y/N. Thank you for responding so quickly. I..well.” He clears his throat, wondering what exactly is the right thing to say in a situation like this one. “The five Kage convened recently, here in the Leaf. The other Kage have made me aware that they are..worried about the two of you rebuilding your clan. They fear a repeat of the earlier histories.” Kakashi explains wearily.
Sasuke straightens his back, looking over at you quickly. “What are you saying, Kakashi?”
“I’m saying the Kage agreed to intervene to prevent you two from marriage and having children. Y/N…will be married to the Kazekage in three weeks.” He replies, clearly pained by the ordeal. He can’t even meet your eyes.
Your world comes crashing down around you. Sasuke and you just found each other, spending every night talking and touching and being together, like you’re inextricably obligated to. Sasuke’s eyes widened. He opened his mouth to speak, feeling only those nasty flames of anger and hatred licking back up his body.
“I–I can’t believe you would do this to me.” You whisper softly, devastated that Kakashi could settle for such an arrangement.
“I had no choice. Either that, or they want your original sentences served for desertion and treason. Y/N…I’m sorry.” Kakashi frowns, arms folded over his chest. “Sasuke…I know that Sakura would make a lovely partner, and she cares for you very much.”
His words cut both of you down, sucking the wind out of your lungs. All this heartache and pain that you’ve gone through, it’s not over. It would never be over. You’re forbidden to be together, just like in all those awful books. Is this really how your story ends?
Gaara is a wonderful man and you’ve always been happy to call him your friend. You’re sure he would do his best to be a good husband to you, but he wasn’t Sasuke. He could never fill that gap, no matter how hard he tried. And to think about Sasuke with Sakura…it was torture. You got up and slammed the door behind you on the way out.
Over the course of the next few weeks, you met Sasuke when you could. Each time it felt worse and worse, because both of you knew it was closer to the last time. You hold each other a little closer, he kisses you a little rougher than intended, but he just wants to savor the way you taste and the shape of your body under his hand. He knew you would be safe, and as happy as anyone forced into a marriage can be, but every bone in his body wanted to take you and leave this village again.
But he knew that you didn’t want that life of danger, and neither did he. He wanted to protect the Leaf, and make it up to the people who couldn’t trust him to marry the woman he loves. Maybe he could prove them wrong. But it would be too late by then. Maybe this is what you meant when you said that life doesn’t work off of deserving, but he had to disagree. This is exactly what he deserves. He’s done so much bad, how could he think he was going to get his happily ever after? You were an Uchiha Princess, you deserved to be married to a Kage and be forever safe and catered to. But he stole all the time with you he could.
True to Kakashi’s word, three weeks from the day he told you about the occasion, you were being wed to the Kazekage. It was a grand spectacle, you think mostly to ease the nerves of the other Kage. The entire Leaf and Sand combine into one massive cathedral-esque type of building, and it’s decorated to the gods. You can smell all the food that’s been made in preparation as you stare at yourself in the mirror. You looked beautiful. This was a fact, your hair was pinned in elaborate braids and your makeup was perfect. You wore a simple but beautiful and traditional Sand style gown. You had citizens of the sand excitedly racing around your room to make sure every detail was in place, and it was magical.
If only the groom were your preferred choice. Not that you really had one.
Kakashi walks you out, the previously raucous crowd falling silent at the sight of you. “You do look beautiful, sweet girl.” He hums in your ear.
“Thank you.” You return politely, not trying to make a spectacle. You can feel Sasuke’s eyes, and you find him easily. He smiles sadly at you, receiving a pat of support from Naruto. Sakura is on his other side. You smile sadly too.
The ceremony is nice, Gaara is kind and you hope you can come to love him in any way similar to Sasuke, because he deserves a good wife. He has made you comfortable since you arrived and tried to give you whatever space or comfort you’ve asked for. He held your hands now, in front of both of your villages, and swore his loyalty to you.
“I, Gaara of the Hidden Sand, the 5th Kazekage, swear my life to yours. I will make you happy, protect you, and give you anything you ever want or need. I will love you and honor you for all our days.”
Sasuke is visibly upset, though he tries to hide it just for you. Naruto squeezes his friend’s hand. He was upset for the both of you, having third wheeled your relationship for most of his life.
The crowd anxiously waits for you to speak. Gaara squeezes your hands in support, and you can tell he’s trying to be the best for you. You smile softly.
“I, Y/N Uchiha, of the Hidden Leaf, the Sharingan Princess, swear my life to yours. I will make you happy, protect you, and give you anything you ever want or need. I will love you and honor you for all our days.” You repeat, allowing him to lean in for the first kiss of your marriage.
And just like that, you were the wife of the Kazekage, Sasuke Uchiha's Princess no longer.

I pick number 7 - dealers choice!
I ❤️ you babe!
Tumblr media
7 - envy. hello, my dear. <3 @anubisthe1 also requested this number!
Gai might not have been a particularly good sensor. Hell, most people with any sort of chakra control could sneak up on him without much difficulty.
(That didn't mean he wouldn't take them down with a single punch if they did.)
But Gai was also no fool. And he knew his friends and loved ones so well they could not escape his notice even if they possessed a genius level intellect and understanding of how to mask their chakra.
Which was precisely how he knew Kakashi Hatake had been sitting in a tree near the training fields all morning as he and his team practiced their kata.
The fact that Kakashi had not left the tree to greet them made Gai uneasy.
Kakashi knew Gai was aware of his presence. It was obvious in the way the other man kept throwing what he thought were casual glances over his shoulder while his students were engrossed in their sparring.
Gai was not a subtle person, but it seemed neither was Kakashi. Because he hadn't even bothered trying to disguise his presence. He knew it was useless, anyway; Gai would always find him even if he didn't want to be found.
When he'd woken up at that morning, Kakashi had not intended to make his way to the training grounds. In fact, he'd been solely focused on going to the Hokage Tower to demand a high-ranked mission that would take him away from Konoha for as long as was feasible.
The training grounds held too many painful memories. Too many ghosts of Team 7 laughing and squabbling and generally being a nuisance.
He'd avoided the place ever since Naruto departed to train with Jiraiya because it made Kakashi ill to see the post where he'd tied the boy during the bell test, to bear witness to the crater Sasuke had punched into the earth during their final week of training before the Chunin Exams began.
It was the same reason he'd begun taking a more circuitous route to the Konoha Cemetery in the mornings--seeing the Hospital, which used to only make his stomach churn because he hated the sterile smell and the invasive questions the medics asked, now reminded him that the only one of his students still within the village walls had found a better mentor.
Sakura and Tsuande. Naruto and Jiraiya. .... Sasuke and Orochimaru.
Kakashi could admit to himself he was not a perfect man. Could attest within the privacy of his own heart that he had not been a perfect teacher.
But for a job he had never wanted, Kakashi had also strived to be a sensei worthy of his students. Even when they argued or turned his hair from silver to grey with their asinine and unending questions, he he tried to be patient. Tried to provide them with the training and education they needed to not only survive as shinobi, but to succeed in a line of work which demanded violence and strength.
And now, instead of nursing a Naruto-induced headache or redirecting Sakura's attention from Sasuke's brooding stare to her incredible aptitude for genjutsu or trying not to think about how much the young Uchiha reminded him of Itachi, Kakashi perched in a tree like a spy, observing Gai and his team train through the fluttering leaves.
Jealousy, cold and cruel, curdled in his belly as he watched Neji haughtily correct Tenten's technique and Lee step between them, his good nature too much of a shield for their vitriol to continue.
Why did Gai get to keep his students while Kakashi was left with nothing?
It was a stupid thought, one that made Kakashi grind his lower lip between his teeth in frustration until he drew enough blood to stain the front of his mask.
Of course Gai deserved to be a sensei. He excelled in the role; had been made for it, really. Kakashi could never have been deserving of another team, not when he'd so horrifically destroyed his own. That he had allowed himself to believe he migth be was his own folly and no one else's.
Kakashi lingered until Gai dismissed his students, trying not to sneer at the hearty hug Lee gave his sensei, the curt nod Gai received from Neji, the broad smile and wave Tenten gave her teammates as she jogged away. Then, he climbed down from his perch and began to make his way home through the sparse woods around the training fields.
Gai's heavy hand on his shoulder stopped him in his tracks a few moments later and Kakashi cursed internally at not having departed sooner.
"My dear Rival," Gai said, his voice unusually hushed, "I wonder if you would honor me with some company."
Kakashi sighed, in no mood for whatever nonsense Gai might have devised in an ill-fated attempt to cheer him up. Before he could answer, however, Gai had used his incredible strength to push Kakashi to the ground. Kakashi protested, legs folding beneath him until he was kneeling in the dirt and leaves.
"What the hell, Gai?"
Gai said nothing, just settled beside him, legs crossed and hands balanced on his knees as he was about to meditate.
Kakashi sighed, resigned--and, if he were honest, too exhausted to protest--and readjusted his position to match his friend's. They didn't look at one another, but their knees just touched in a familiar show of closeness. Silence stretched between them, but rather than uncomfortable, it was soothing--a reminder that they had known one another long enough and well enough for there to be no requirement to fill each moment with words; that saying nothing could as powerful as one of Naruto's overly long monologues.
At the thought of Naruto, Kakashi felt his throat tighten and he made a small, strangled noise behind his mask as he attempted to hold onto his anger and envy.
It was easier than what lay beneath them, the sadness and disappointment which threated to break through the dam of Kakashi's jealousy and wash him away.
Gai turned to look at him, but Kakashi couldn't return the gesture. So Gai simply reached out and patted his friend's back, never uttering a word.

Genin Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, Sakura, Rock Lee accidentally kissing the reader
Aaaa this is so cute!!!
Dear anon, you are now my favourite for requesting thisss 🥺💖✨
Warnings: very romantic and fluffy you’ll literally explode. Sasuke may or may not be ooc???? Idk skskksks
A/N: I changed Sakura's a little bit, i thought an indirect kiss kind of situation would be cuter for her!
————————————————————————
Naruto:
It was another day of dumb low rank missions that had him bored and annoyed to the point of almost losing his mind. He was itching for a fight, a good rescue task or whatever that could give him a sense of action and could shake off that lethargic feeling off his body. He also wanted to show off to you whom had been paired up with him that day. To say he had a crush on you was an understatement. He was most definitely head over heels for you and the only thing he wanted was to look cool… and he wasn’t gonna make it while helping villagers to harvest their crops or rescuing lost pets.
It was then, when you two were taking a break that he had what he believed was a brilliant idea to show you what he was made of. Both of you were resting under the cold shade of an apple tree and the fresh fruit was what you craved the most in that moment. “Did you know that the fruit that grows higher is the most crisp and fresh one? Let me show you.”
Feeling overly confident and making use of his newly learnt chakra flow abilities, he ran through the bark of the tree, quickly reaching the top, and standing upside down in one of the branches. Looking smug, he crossed his arms. You were looking at him amazed, but also worried at how dangerous the action looked. “Be careful! An apple is not worth you getting hurt!” It was cute how you cared about him, that made him feel even braver. “Don’t worry! I’m a pro at this!” He didn’t even finished his phrase when a loud crack erased the smile off of his face. It took him seconds to fall, together with the tree branch, on the ground. “Oh my god! Are you okay?” Quickly, you rushed and kneeled next to him, he had fallen hard but luckily a pile of fallen leaves had softened his landing. Still, he hit his head a little too hard.
With great care, you nestled his head on your thighs, cushioning him and checking for serious injuries. He suddenly felt embarrassed, after all, it was the first time you two were that close. On a whim, He didn’t calculated the distances right and rose up fast, knocking heads with you, crashing his lips against yours on the process.
It was completely accidental, yet it felt like heaven. How sweet your lips tasted, how soft they felt against his own. He swore they were like feathers, or the delicate touch of the wings of a butterfly.
Blushing furiously, he avoided your touch like you were burning him, apologizing profusely. But it was the dreamy look in your eyes that made him think that perhaps you liked it… cuz he’d be lying if he said he hated it.
Sasuke:
Nervously, he looked at himself in the mirror, adjusting his bandana, his hair and his clothes for the millionth time that afternoon. He wanted to look his best, and being ever the perfectionist, it didn’t matter how many times he stared back at his reflection, it still wasn’t right.
Despite that, he had run out of time and the knock on his door made it obvious. A familiar voice on the other side called out for him and fed his anxiety. “Oi, Sasuke, come out! The others are waiting for us!” Yelled his energetic orange friend, waiting for him outside.
It was festival day in Konoha and all the young genin had agreed to go around the stalls together to then watch the fireworks at the end of the day. He wasn’t really into that kind of stuff, but as soon as he heard you and your team were coming too, he almost jumped and joined the party.
They all met up outside of the academia to walk downtown together… and there you were, all dolled up, looking gorgeous on your kimono. You greeted him with a smile and walked right next to him, making small talk about what you were most excited to eat and enjoy.
The atmosphere was great, festive, lively. The sweet smell of the candied apples and choco bananas and the warmth of the fried food filled the air, making your stomach grumble.
Of course you rushed to one of the food stalls with a sweet treat in mind to share with your friends. It was a box of Pocky that caught your attention, so you quickly bought it, happily hopping back to find your place next to Sasuke.
He wasn’t fond of sweet stuff, but he couldn’t say no when you cutely held one of the chocolate sticks to him, jokingly placing it on your mouth, signaling him to take it from you using his own mouth. It was in a sudden rush of confidence when he obliged and bit it off almost completely, placing his lips on top of yours for a faint moment, that felt eternal for him.
If he had a ryo every time he had kissed someone on accident, he’d had exactly two, which is not much, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
The soft feeling of your lips and the sweet taste of the chocolate lingered on his mouth for the rest of the day.
Neji:
It was no secret that you liked Neji, everyone knew… everyone but him. He was adorably oblivious and that made you desperate but also, you found it terribly cute.
The truth was he liked you too, but he’d walk through hell barefoot rather than letting you know. Could he be blamed? He was stoic as a statue, talked to you as if he was talking in riddles, and trained most of the time, to actually show he felt something for you… or that he felt something at all. He was scared of being vulnerable and laying his soul bare for you and get rejected in the worst case.
That’s why your friends had to take the matters in their own hands and plan something so one of you could confess their feelings to the other.
It wasn’t perfect, it was improvised at best, but it was all they had. They all put it into work some day where you all agreed to train together and hoped for the best.
The makeshift master plan consisted in somehow placing you together during the train session, give you a little time alone so somehow you'd end up confessing or something, and gift both of you with a happily ever after. It was so dumb and childish, but again, it was the best idea out of a sea of terrible ones.
So they made it work, and the initial phase was a success. They managed to put you together and give you some private time... but what they did not expect was the complete and cold silence that installed between you as soon as you were left alone. Neji stayed as quiet as a rock, as he always did and you were so terribly nervious that you didn't know what to say. To you, the young Hyuga was like a complicated puzzle, almost imposible to solve. It made you anxious to never know what was going through his mind.
This, of course, made everyone else groan and facepalm colectively. How could two souls be so obviously in love and at the same time be so oblivious about it?!
"Ok, enough, i've had it!" Yelled Naruto in frustration, walking towards you and him, against everyone else's protests and claims for him to stop. He ended just pushing you, desperate for you to actually do something. What he did expect? not even him knew that, he was so frustrated that he didn't even think about the consecuences.
Neji reacted fast and catched you so you wouldn't fall, but all his stoic demeanor crumbled when he felt something soft and warm resting against his lips. Thanks to Naruto's careless action, you two had kissed accidentaly.
Let's say that it was more than enough to break the ice between you two.
Sakura:
Spring came by, and with its delicate blossoms, the opportunity for love was also born. This way she mustered all the courage she had and invited you on a date.
She wanted to show you the pretty cherry blossoms that inspired her name, in full bloom, spend some time with you and maybe even hold your hand!
That afternoon you strolled between the trees, walking slowly through the petals that danced in the wind. Of course they were pretty, but non of them compared to the sight you had in front of you, because she was the pretiest flower you had ever seen.
On the way, you both bought a sweet bobba tea drink and sat on a bench to enjoy the scenery.
She was cute, a little bit shy, while talking to you, waiting for the perfect opportunity to make a move and place her hand on yours. She felt nervous but oh so brave, specially when you looked at her like there was no one else in the world.
You, noticing how fidgety she was, suddenly felt sly and leaned on her, close, very close, and removed a playful petal that had tangled on her silky pink hair. After that, you leaned even more, and she was ready to let it happen, catching her breath on her throat in anticipation. She ended leting out a loud sigh when you, mischieviously, wraped your mouth around the plastic straw of her cup, having a taste of her sweet drink.
Sakura blushed furiously after noticing your smile after what you had done, feeling both angry at your smugness and incredibly embarrassed. Why did an indirect kiss felt even more corny than the actual thing?
Rock Lee:
Lee came to you one day with a new idea for training. He was constantly pushing his limits and aiming for perfection, so it wasn't rare for him to come up with weird training techniques to improve himself.
And of course he dragged you along when trying them all.
That's how you ended up in the training court, blindfolded and completely lost.
"Okay, this new technique will sharpen our senses and prepare us for even the most hard to read attacks!" he explained to you full of excitement, also blindfolding himself. You, confused, started to blindly walk, extending your hands to the air so you wouldn't bump into a tree or something. "I'm not sure about this, Lee... Is it really gonna work if we can't see anything?" You asked, wobily making your way without even knowing were you were going.
He assured you that he had everything covered, that he'd take care of you. His senses were sharp, but yours not so much. You ended up wandering in the court, completely lost meanwhile he gave you vague instructions to find your way and actually participate in the training.
Not so fun now, right? You made grabby hands, trying to follow his voice, trying not to laugh but at the same time promising your self that you'd totally strangle him as soon as you found him. And you didn't imagined you'd do so soon, bumping hard into him, grabbing him by the clothes trying not to fall and dragging him along with you.
You ended up falling with him on top of you, completely blind and with your lips crushed together.
It was an accident, totally not expected, but completely welcomed by him, of course. You never imagined your first kiss would go like that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I totally cracked my head open writing these lmaoooo I wanted to make them long so I really hope you like them!

A Very Short Uchiha Family Mini-fic
Sasuke leans in the doorway of his daughter’s bedroom, watching as she stuffs a folded up pink camisole into her bag. “You’re staying at ChoCho’s all night?”
Sarada looks at him out of the corner of her eye, a strand of long dark hair falling over her face. “Yes. Not that it matters. I’m eighteen and a jounin. It’s not as though you ask about what I do on missions.”
Sasuke scratches an itch on the end of his missing arm, trying his damnedest not to frown. “It’s different when you’re in the village. On missions, I know that you’re with your team—”
Almost on cue, Sarada picks up a small, sealed scroll from beside her toothbrush on the bed and adds that to her bag.
“Why do you need a weapon scroll for a sleepover at the Akimichi’s?”
His daughter puffs out her cheeks, trying not to let her frustration with the interrogation show.
“Boruto left it on the training grounds this afternoon. I’m just returning it to him.”
Sasuke hums. It’s a proper hum, he tells himself. A fatherly hum. Skeptical. Yes, a bit skeptical. Maybe even a little threatening. “So, you’re seeing Boruto, too?"
“Yes, Dad.” Sarada finally snaps, shoving the last few items in her bag without any care. “I’m seeing Boruto. My friend Boruto. My team member Boruto. The idiot who leaves a scroll full of deadly weapons where academy students might find it.”
“Are you doing anything else with my student?” he asks, not moving from the doorway when Sarada turns to face him, strap over her shoulder. He tries not to smile, noticing how much she looks like her mother when she’s angry.
“Not that it’s any of your business, but he invited us over for burgers because Lord Seventh and Hinata are away.”
Sasuke narrows his eyes, deepening the crows' feet at their corners. “Us?”
She narrows her eyes right back at him from behind her red glasses. “Me and ChoCho and Mitsuki. Is that a problem?”
“I trust you to handle yourself in an age-appropriate manner,” Sasuke replies, finally stepping aside.
Sakura’s head jerks up from chopping tomatoes as the front door of the newly constructed Uchiha residence slams shut, then turns to look at her husband as he walks into their kitchen.
“Did you talk to her?”
He nods, dark eyes like smoldering coals. “I did.”
His wife wisely puts her chef’s knife down on their new granite counter and turns around, drying her hands on a towel. “And?”
Sasuke takes a deep breath, steadying himself. “I think she’s spending the night at the Uzumaki’s house as well.”
Sakura pushes the cutting board of chopped tomatoes to the side.
“I thought so,” his wife murmurs, untying her apron strings and lifting it over her head. “At least we know where she is. And, that he’s her teammate. And her friend.”
Sasuke takes a step forward undoing the first button on his vest. “And, that she won’t be coming home until tomorrow morning.”
“Oh, thank god,” Sakura begins to say, but her words are quickly cut off by her husband’s mouth on hers, his hands wrapping around her narrow waist as he hefts her onto their new countertop.

Naruto Reaction to you kissing one of their friends
A/N - hello! I just recently got my account taken off of explicit so I will be posting more! I was recently an only kpop reaction/writing blog which I’ll still write for them but I will be writing for different animes as well. So I’m going to start off with reactions for right now since I no longer have my laptop. I hope everyone enjoys this and feel free to request other reaction posts from me!
Reaction includes - Konoha 12 boys + Sai & Gaara
Naruto: Seeing you kiss him was something that easily changed his mood. Seeing you so close to his friend, it made his insides turn. He didn’t know why he felt like this, maybe it’s jealousy, maybe it’s the fact he wants to be the one kissing you instead of Gaara, but something in Naruto makes him avoid you from here on out. No more smiles at you when he passes you by in the village, no more inviting you out to eat whenever you got back from a mission, all he’ll give you is a cold shoulder because brushing you off and not seeing you is better than seeing you with his friend.
Sasuke: He scoffs out loud, he couldn’t help it, it might’ve slipped out and was a bit louder than he meant to but he still felt the same about it. You turn around facing away from Neji and raise an eyebrow at Sasuke.
“You don’t think anything will come from this do you?” Sasuke speaks before you can even question him. Your features soften after realizing what he’s said.
“What?”
“Don’t be stupid, love never works out for a shinobi, let alone when it’s between two of them. You’ll become distracted or dead.” His voice is harsh and his eyes are staring at you making you cower down. He huffs out a breath and walks past you and Neji who has stayed silent to this all. His words were harsh but he could never admit how he was feeling the moment he saw you kissing someone else.
Sai: Its easy not to show any emotion for him. No one ever knows what he’s thinking but that’s for the best, because seeing you and Kiba together did something to him that even Sai himself doesn’t understand. He doesn’t understand it, no, he can’t believe it. He can’t believe why you would want to kiss Kiba, you’ve never hinted at anything romantic towards him, you’ve always acted the same so why were you and Kiba kissing so casually as if it were normal? Sai’s mind was malfunctioning while he still had the same indifferent look on his face. Only he would deal with the thoughts that would fill his mind up, no one would ever know.
Shikamaru: Shikamaru never cared about much. He never cared about the useless relationships around the village because all that led to was drama and that was another headache he didn’t care to have. That was, until he saw you walking around with Lee. You were walking around with Rock mf Lee and Shikamaru couldn’t help but stop to watch you two. Nothing out of the ordinary until he sees you raise up on your tippy toes to quickly kiss Lee. Like some grade school kids you quickly walk the other direction while Lee sprints away with almost a gust of smoke following his heels. You not paying attention you run straight into Shikamaru.
“Oh! Sorry!” You look up and Shikamaru sees your cheeks are flushed and somehow he couldn’t help but find that annoying.
“So you and Lee? Really?” He looks down at you as you crane your neck up to meet his eyes. “You do know you could do better right?”
You look at him surprised. “What? Why would you-”
“I’m not bashing him, I’m just saying that I would be better.” He shrugs and walks off leaving you completely shocked in his response.
Choji: His mood would immediately change and it’s even worse because Choji wouldn’t be able to hide what was wrong to anyone. Just assume everyone around him could see a giant storm cloud following him around because that’s how obvious he would be. Right away, and I mean riiight away Ino, Shikamaru, and even random villagers would notice Choji’s change in demeanor. It’s not like he hated Sai, he just doesn’t understand why you of all people would like him. Sai was so out there, doesn’t seem to show any like or dislike towards anything or anyone other than his drawings he’d do. Then there was you, someone completely different and someone Choji really liked. Poor boy would be so sad for days on end.
Kiba: He stopped in his tracks once he saw his teammate kissing someone, he was more nosy than anything but once he saw who Shino was kissing Kiba just wished that he kept on walking. You looked behind his teammate and smiled at Kiba.
“Hi Kiba.” Your smile meets your eyes and Shino turns to nod at his friend. “What’re you doing?” You ask.
“Oh um…” he scratches the back of his head thinking. “I was going to get something to eat, did you guys-”
“Ooo! Let’s all get something to eat together!” You say excitedly while grabbing Shino’s hand. Shino just mumbles a ‘sure’ and you all make your way down.
Kiba smiles and walks beside you. The stinging in his chest still there but at the end of the day he can’t be selfish, he won’t be selfish, not when it comes to you and your happiness.
Shino: He never cared about you, you were just a simple shinobi who got brought along a few missions. He didn’t care about how happy you got once you perfected your jutsus’. He didn’t care about your life secrets whenever you let something slip about your past and the look on your face when you’d realize you said too much. He certainly didn’t care if you made it back alive from any solo missions and if you were a few days late from them either. At least, that’s what he’s going to say to himself whenever he sees you kissing Shikamaru goodbye every time you leave for your missions. Yeah, Shino totally doesn’t care about you at all.
Neji: He’s trying, he really is trying to think positively and for the best, but something about seeing you, the always cheerful and kind hearted girl with the likes of him, it just doesn’t sit well with Neji. He doesn’t know why or what caused you to be with Sasuke but Neji at the very least is trying to be happy for you. If you’re happy and being treated right by the sole Uchiha in the village Neji can at least make peace with that. At least that’s what he’s trying to convince himself ever since he saw you two together.
Rock Lee: It was out of the ordinary for him to feel this way, he would never say anything bad about his comrade, no never. He’d never say anything about you either, but his tongue moved faster than his brain could stop him and seeing your pained expression and the look his friend is giving him made Lee instantly regret the words that left his mouth.
“Wh-What did you just say?” You stumble on your words while Choji just sighs. You were always too nice, too forgiving. Lee didn’t deserve it, he knows that, Choji knows that, but you still didn’t.
Lee just shakes his head, mumbling an apology while walking away.
Gaara: He couldn’t help but frown, his face changing as he saw you and Naruto kissing, he wasn’t jealous, no he could never be jealous of his closest friend. He was happy for Naruto, but his emotions for himself were present and anyone could see it. He walks away and makes the long journey back to the Suna suddenly abandoning whatever reason he came to the leaf village in the first place

Back then, you taught me that solitude is suffering, Sasuke-kun.. Now I know exactly how that feels. I have both family and friends.. but if you were no longer here, Sasuke-kun, for me it will be the same as solitude..
Sasuke replayed that moment in his mind while watching Sakura sleep. It had been 3 days since they left the village to travel together. No matter how many times he tried to forgive himself for his past actions, this one mistake he couldn't seem to get over with.
"If I just stayed.. If I just listened to Sakura.. Things would've been different," he contemplated.
He could still remember clearly when that night happened. The finality of his decision was apparent but he still intended to leave at night because he knew his friends would stop him.
"I really couldn't care less if they'd try to stop me," his young self thought. "No one will change my mind. Absolutely no one. Not Kakashi. Not Naruto. Not even Sakura."
But she was there.. waiting for him.. for days in fact. She knew it would happen eventually.. That one day he'd abandon the village for his revenge. She waited and waited with the goal to stop him.. To make him realize that it was not the right path.
"Why is she saying these things?" Sasuke asked himself. "Why should she care for me that much? Nothing can change my mind, so stop," he thought, almost begging her to stop her speech.
"I don't need to hear this. This would not change the path that I want to take. My goal is to avenge my family.. my family! The most important thing to me."
I.. I love you with all my heart! If you were to stay with me, there would be no regrets. Because every day we’d so something fun. We’d be happy, I swear! Please stay with me. I’ll even help you with your revenge. I don’t know what I could do but I’ll try my best to do something. So please, stay with me.. or take me with you if you can’t stay here..
"Stop.. Please.. Don't say these things.. Why are you making it hard for me? Take you with me? This has nothing to do with you.. Why would you want to have blood on your hands? For someone like me?" He knew he couldn't further endure her words because they made sense to him. "There's no turning back now.. I'm sorry."
"You really are.. annoying." And swiftly, he went behind Sakura to say his last words. "Sakura, thank you." He grabbed her as soon as lost consciousness. He carried her gently to the bench. He looked at her one last time before leaving. "I don't know if our paths will meet again.. but take care. And don't be sad."
---
Sakura: Sasuke-kun?
Sasuke: *startled* Hn.
Sakura: Why are you not sleeping?
Sasuke: I'm not yet sleepy.. Ah, Sakura..
Sakura: Hmm?
Sasuke: Thank you.
Sakura: For what?
Sasuke: For that night.
Sakura: *thinks hard* Which one?
Sasuke: Nevermind.
Sakura: Sasuke-kun! You can't just drop something like that and won't tell the—
Sasuke: You're right. Solitude is suffering..
Sakura: But you're the one who taught me that—
Sasuke: This. This is better than me traveling alone.. So stick with me, Sakura.
Sakura: Sasuke-kun! You don't even need to tell me!
Sasuke: *smiles* Thank you.

Would you be willing to rank the konoha 12 from worst to best?
Actually yes I would LMAO!! I assume you mean like… my own personal favorites between the konoha 12, rather than something like which I think are the strongest.
I do wanna also state that I don’t hate or dislike any of the konoha 12, in fact I kinda like them all?? So please don’t think that I don’t like the lower rated characters. But if I have to rank them, from least favorite to most favorite… (list under the cut!)
Tumblr media
12. Shino Aburame
(Sorry tumblr limits me to only 10 images so the lower ranked ones aren’t getting pics I’m sorry)
I… I just don’t really feel that attached to him?? I’m sorry 🫠 his insect and bug abilities can be pretty neat tho.
11. Kiba Inuzuka
It’s kinda a similar thing as Shino. Just not that attached to him as I am to other characters. He does have a dog though, which is almost always a positive point for me not gonna lie.
10. Ino Yamanaka
She also just doesn’t leave much of an impression on me in general. I’m kinda sad that her jutsu is just… kinda lacking?? BUT she seems like she’d be a good friend and fun to hang out with. Also she’s pretty.
9. Sasuke Uchiha
Tumblr media
Fun fact when I first started watching Naruto he was my favorite during the land of waves arc! But then we saw Team Gai and the way I threw him to the side SO FAST 😭😂 I do still kinda think he’s a jerk for abandoning all the people who care about him for power. Is it because I take the Sasuke retrieval arc personally?? Maybe. BUT he was right about the konoha elders. In general I just find him very fun to bully. But I GUESS he’s strong and such…
8. Naruto Uzumaki
Tumblr media
He’s the main character so I feel like he just gets points with us just being exposed to him the most in the series. I do find it kinda harder to like… I don’t know, be attached to him the farther in Shippuden we get. I guess it’s cuz of the constant power creep, but that’s more of a shonen issue than anything to me. Rewatching the series as an adult, his backstory definitely breaks my heart 🥺 poor kid just wants to be loved and doesn’t understand why the village hates him. It’s hard not to root for him honestly. I cried when he became hokage even though I wasn’t watching the series at the time I can’t lie.
7. Sakura Haruno
Tumblr media
I used to not like her much, but that’s cuz Kishi can’t write women let’s be honest. I’ll always be super impressed with her growth as a ninja herself, particularly as a medical ninja. The Kazekage Rescue Arc really shows how amazing she can be and what she’s capable of. I loved her fight with Sasori. I also relate to her constantly wanting to catch up to her teammates and just feeling like dead weight. Girlie I love you and you deserve happiness 💖
6. Hinata Hyuga
Tumblr media
SHE’S A SWEET GIRL SHE’S DOING HER BEST SHE’S TRYING TO FIND HER PLACE IN THE WORLD AND I!!! SUPPORT THIS GIRL!!! She’s also super cute with one of the best designs in the series. Her fighting Pain is so emotional like. She’s risking her life for the guy she loves and admires most in the world. I gotta give her props for that. She’s not the strongest obviously, but I do enjoy her character a lot.
5. Shikamaru Nara
Tumblr media
My brother’s favorite, so I feel a lot of secondhand happiness about Shikamaru!! His shadow jutsu is… well, basic, but very versatile (I kinda wish ino’s jutsu got a similar treatment). His strategies make him a really fun character to watch from start to finish. His arc with Hidan was so cool. Very good character in my opinion.
4. Choji Akamichi
Tumblr media
Ok so not gonna lie he’d probably rank lower on my list when I was younger, but again, rewatching as an adult I just love the guy!! He’s such a kind soul and works to protect his friends. His backstory also just kinda speaks to me as a kid who was often excluded from activities with my peers (sometimes also cuz of my size). I’m so glad he found shikamaru and is best friends with him. He deserves so much love. He’s a good lad!
3. Rock Lee
Tumblr media
GODDDDDDD HIS CHARACTER IS SO GOOOOOOOOOODDDDD!!! I remember liking him even as a kid, but now that I’m older, it’s just amplified. To see someone with uh… no natural talent whatsoever get so far as a shinobi is just so satisfying to see, especially since I can relate nowadays. If anything, seeing him struggle and still fight for what he believes in has made a bigger impact on me now than when I was younger. I REALLY wish he had more fights though. Fights where he won mainly on his own. Also his fight with Gaara in the chunin exams is ICONIC YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND THE WEIGHT SCENE CHANGED MY 9-YEAR-OLD BRAIN CHEMISTRY!!!
2. Tenten
Tumblr media
I!!! LOVE!!! THIS!!!! GIRL!!!! AAAAAAAAA!!!!! There’s just something about how her strategy is to overwhelm her opponents with so many powerful ninja weapons that just… speaks to me. Her design is cute, I find her personality fun, and she’s my favorite female Naruto character. I wanna be her friend so bad. Also her journey in letting go of a childhood dream just… HMMMMM SPEAKS TO MEEEEEE as a very depressed adult. She makes me smile and laugh and cry and I just want her to know how amazing and special she is. She’s… a 10/10 😎
1. Neji Hyuga
Tumblr media
WOOOW OMG WHAT A SHOCK RIGHT??? Man what can I say about Neji that I haven’t already. He just really awakened something in me way back in the day, and he still occupies my mind to this day. I think there’s just something about seeing a character suffering quietly for so long and taking it out on others (and himself) grow into a person who tries to better himself and look more so on the bright side of life, despite what life has thrown at him. (Again that’s kinda something that means more to me as an adult than when I was a kid) he deserves so much love and happiness and I am so proud of him Neji Hyuga I love you so much

I’m watching Naruto Shippuden ( I’ve been trying to finish that thing for quite a long time now ) and I just wanna say that I’m really starting to question how on earth is this anime even so popular.
Like we’ve got Sasuke who’s just emo 24/7 through like 3/4th of the first series and then at the end he just becomes really gay for Naruto and then he leaves Konoha cuz’ he’s all about vengeance and sheesh and he’s SOOO Edgy and stuff, not to mention that most of the time ( especially in Shippuden ) the shit he does doesn’t even have like a specific reason behind it. He just Regina George’s himself through half of the series.
And then there’s Naruto who only knows like 2 techniques and uses them 24/7 and somehow he’s almost as powerful as others and is able to defeat a lot of enemies and shit and then we got like this like BIG-ASS arc when he leaves with Jiraiya and he’s supposed to become super OP and stuff and so we proceed to Naruto Shippuden; and Naruto - my man, my bro - spent like 2-3 years ( I don’t remember correctly, since me and numbers aren’t really that buddy-buddy ) training heavily to *checks notes* ah yes - TO LEARN HOW TO THROW A GIGANTIC MF SHURIKEN - That’s it! That’s literally it.
and then there’s, later, another Naruto training where he’s supposed to create a new special attack - COOL! Final- finally something new - right?…. Right!?
I mean what could Naruto, possibly, learn as he’s new “special attack”:
He has Rasengan
He has that big-ass shuriken that he never used again
And he has Kage Bunshin No Juutsu
I-I wonder what he’s special attack could be all about….
A FUCKING. GIGANTIC. SHURIKEN. MADE. OUT. OF. A. FUCKING. RASENGAN. WITH. THE. HELP. OF. THOSE. MF. CLONES.
And of course let’s not forget the MOST important part of his character development - Naruto can, FINALLY, do basic logical thinking.
🫠
I waste my life on this shit.
And this is what I get.
I could be enjoying my hobbies.
I could start working harder.
BUT NOOOOOO- I have to watch an edgy, emo MF and his dumb-ass boyfriend trying to catch him and bring he’s dramatic-ass back to their home village and they don’t even end up being together, because they’re JUST FRIENDS, even tho Naruto literally has dreams about Sasuke and wants him close.
*I’ve got so passionate about this post that I hadn’t noticed a really dumb grammatical mistake I made at the end.
It’s fixed now - I can rest, knowing it’s gone

i talked about it in passing initially but to be real the scene where naruto is pinned down by pain (the guy) and hinata jumps in to help but gets her ass kicked immediately. its infuriating in a broad sense because she fights for literally (i counted) TWO PANELS (three if you're being generous) before being incapacitated. but like. if youll allow me to ignore the inherent sexism going into every aspect of this scene for a moment and talk about it from a character perspective. jiraiya is dead, naruto showed up to the battle late because the messenger that was supposed to fetch him was killed en route. konoha is completely leveled. kakashi is dead.
naruto's been incapacitated. he can't move, pain is grilling him on how he'd fix the cycle of hate and revenge that the world is stuck in, and naruto is realizing that no matter how badly he wants peace he doesn't actually know how to reach it. all the training he did to avenge jiraiya and continue on his will wasn't enough, he isn't strong enough to defeat pain and even if he was he isn't smart enough to reach the peace that jiraiya dedicated his life to attaining. he's failing.
now, hinata jumps in out of nowhere and says she's going to save him. naruto still BARELY knows hinata. he's casual friends with her sure, he thinks she's sweet and thinks its cool that she's pulled herself up out of a lot of self hate and stuff in order to become stronger. but he doesn't really KNOW her. but she's willing to DIE for him. she says she loves him, that he changed her life, and as she's telling him this and she dives into the fight he just looks guilty and horrified like WHY are you doing this. you're going to die and there's nothing i can do because i'm a failure and everything is so fucking bad. why are you trying to die for me. how do i mean so much to you that you're going to die for me. he knows from the moment she shows up that she can't defeat pain, and he yells at her to leave but she refuses and he's helpless to do anything but watch her get actually fucking killed. right in front of him. this girl he's sort of friends with who says he changed her life. its not romantic it's horrifying. she can't take him. naruto can't save his village, he can't bring the world to peace, he can't save his teachers, he can't save sasuke, and still he has to watch someone throw herself onto the train tracks for him because she thinks he's the whole world, and he's still helpless to stop her. ok damn! i'd let the nine tails take over too
Tumblr media
^ right after she said she loves him
