Naruto Reaction to you kissing one of their friends

A/N - hello! I just recently got my account taken off of explicit so I will be posting more! I was recently an only kpop reaction/writing blog which I’ll still write for them but I will be writing for different animes as well. So I’m going to start off with reactions for right now since I no longer have my laptop. I hope everyone enjoys this and feel free to request other reaction posts from me!

Reaction includes - Konoha 12 boys + Sai & Gaara

Naruto: Seeing you kiss him was something that easily changed his mood. Seeing you so close to his friend, it made his insides turn. He didn’t know why he felt like this, maybe it’s jealousy, maybe it’s the fact he wants to be the one kissing you instead of Gaara, but something in Naruto makes him avoid you from here on out. No more smiles at you when he passes you by in the village, no more inviting you out to eat whenever you got back from a mission, all he’ll give you is a cold shoulder because brushing you off and not seeing you is better than seeing you with his friend.

Sasuke: He scoffs out loud, he couldn’t help it, it might’ve slipped out and was a bit louder than he meant to but he still felt the same about it. You turn around facing away from Neji and raise an eyebrow at Sasuke.

“You don’t think anything will come from this do you?” Sasuke speaks before you can even question him. Your features soften after realizing what he’s said.

“What?”

“Don’t be stupid, love never works out for a shinobi, let alone when it’s between two of them. You’ll become distracted or dead.” His voice is harsh and his eyes are staring at you making you cower down. He huffs out a breath and walks past you and Neji who has stayed silent to this all. His words were harsh but he could never admit how he was feeling the moment he saw you kissing someone else.

Sai: Its easy not to show any emotion for him. No one ever knows what he’s thinking but that’s for the best, because seeing you and Kiba together did something to him that even Sai himself doesn’t understand. He doesn’t understand it, no, he can’t believe it. He can’t believe why you would want to kiss Kiba, you’ve never hinted at anything romantic towards him, you’ve always acted the same so why were you and Kiba kissing so casually as if it were normal? Sai’s mind was malfunctioning while he still had the same indifferent look on his face. Only he would deal with the thoughts that would fill his mind up, no one would ever know.

Shikamaru: Shikamaru never cared about much. He never cared about the useless relationships around the village because all that led to was drama and that was another headache he didn’t care to have. That was, until he saw you walking around with Lee. You were walking around with Rock mf Lee and Shikamaru couldn’t help but stop to watch you two. Nothing out of the ordinary until he sees you raise up on your tippy toes to quickly kiss Lee. Like some grade school kids you quickly walk the other direction while Lee sprints away with almost a gust of smoke following his heels. You not paying attention you run straight into Shikamaru.

“Oh! Sorry!” You look up and Shikamaru sees your cheeks are flushed and somehow he couldn’t help but find that annoying.

“So you and Lee? Really?” He looks down at you as you crane your neck up to meet his eyes. “You do know you could do better right?”

You look at him surprised. “What? Why would you-”

“I’m not bashing him, I’m just saying that I would be better.” He shrugs and walks off leaving you completely shocked in his response.

Choji: His mood would immediately change and it’s even worse because Choji wouldn’t be able to hide what was wrong to anyone. Just assume everyone around him could see a giant storm cloud following him around because that’s how obvious he would be. Right away, and I mean riiight away Ino, Shikamaru, and even random villagers would notice Choji’s change in demeanor. It’s not like he hated Sai, he just doesn’t understand why you of all people would like him. Sai was so out there, doesn’t seem to show any like or dislike towards anything or anyone other than his drawings he’d do. Then there was you, someone completely different and someone Choji really liked. Poor boy would be so sad for days on end.

Kiba: He stopped in his tracks once he saw his teammate kissing someone, he was more nosy than anything but once he saw who Shino was kissing Kiba just wished that he kept on walking. You looked behind his teammate and smiled at Kiba.

“Hi Kiba.” Your smile meets your eyes and Shino turns to nod at his friend. “What’re you doing?” You ask.

“Oh um…” he scratches the back of his head thinking. “I was going to get something to eat, did you guys-”

“Ooo! Let’s all get something to eat together!” You say excitedly while grabbing Shino’s hand. Shino just mumbles a ‘sure’ and you all make your way down.

Kiba smiles and walks beside you. The stinging in his chest still there but at the end of the day he can’t be selfish, he won’t be selfish, not when it comes to you and your happiness.

Shino: He never cared about you, you were just a simple shinobi who got brought along a few missions. He didn’t care about how happy you got once you perfected your jutsus’. He didn’t care about your life secrets whenever you let something slip about your past and the look on your face when you’d realize you said too much. He certainly didn’t care if you made it back alive from any solo missions and if you were a few days late from them either. At least, that’s what he’s going to say to himself whenever he sees you kissing Shikamaru goodbye every time you leave for your missions. Yeah, Shino totally doesn’t care about you at all.

Neji: He’s trying, he really is trying to think positively and for the best, but something about seeing you, the always cheerful and kind hearted girl with the likes of him, it just doesn’t sit well with Neji. He doesn’t know why or what caused you to be with Sasuke but Neji at the very least is trying to be happy for you. If you’re happy and being treated right by the sole Uchiha in the village Neji can at least make peace with that. At least that’s what he’s trying to convince himself ever since he saw you two together.

Rock Lee: It was out of the ordinary for him to feel this way, he would never say anything bad about his comrade, no never. He’d never say anything about you either, but his tongue moved faster than his brain could stop him and seeing your pained expression and the look his friend is giving him made Lee instantly regret the words that left his mouth.

“Wh-What did you just say?” You stumble on your words while Choji just sighs. You were always too nice, too forgiving. Lee didn’t deserve it, he knows that, Choji knows that, but you still didn’t.

Lee just shakes his head, mumbling an apology while walking away.

Gaara: He couldn’t help but frown, his face changing as he saw you and Naruto kissing, he wasn’t jealous, no he could never be jealous of his closest friend. He was happy for Naruto, but his emotions for himself were present and anyone could see it. He walks away and makes the long journey back to the Suna suddenly abandoning whatever reason he came to the leaf village in the first place

Not enough was exploited about the fact that the leaf 12 are at most high school freshemen if not middle schoolers and the fact that teams spend most of their time together tbh

Okay we all know that I love Five Kage Summit arc but what's interesting is about what happened NEXT after Naruto and Sasuke talked under that bridge. Naruto went ahead and told his friends that he'd handle Sasuke alone and naturally their reactions were how can you expect us to agree with that, we can't give in to your stubbornness, and it's pretty much an issue for the village and Naruto is like nope I'm not being stubborn and Kiba really called him out like thought you'd give us the details but I did not expect it to be this, we all made up our minds to kill Sasuke then Shikamaru really hit the nail in the coffin like you say that you'll take Sasuke alone when you're actually planning on protecting him. Naruto is like no intentions to protect Sasuke here and Neji is like Sasuke was weak at the time so why didn't you take him out and Sakura defended Naruto by saying that Madara was there then Kiba says you're a hero dude you can take him down like you did with Pain and Naruto sullenly replied that he wouldn't be able to defeat Sasuke the way that he currently is and then Choji is like what is it that you found out then Naruto fucking proceeds NOT TO EXPLAIN FURTHER and persistently says that no one should take Sasuke on and HE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN FIGHT HIM as if that explanation would satisfy everyone (it doesn't) and keeps on giving them the runaround as he would tell them when the time comes. Even Sakura who was there when it happened has been mentally deliberating about what's Naruto has been hiding.

Now the interesting part is Naruto could've just explained WHY. Neji would've understood where he's speaking from as he also dealt with darkness, Shikamaru would at least try to see his point in sheer rationality making the others see his perspective but HE DOESN'T. It was a choice. Might be speaking out of the box here but with the way that everyone collectively decided to kill Sasuke behind his back, it was like a slap in the face realization for Naruto that no one really understands Sasuke like he does. And no amount of explanation would convince them otherwise--he wasn't exactly protecting Sasuke but he won't let them kill him either because killing him won't save Sasuke from his hatred. Naruto never intended to exist in a world where Sasuke dies and he made that clear in the bridge. People around them would look at their relationship like they're fucking insane but what's amusing about it is they never explained their bond to others--how can you even put into words the connection that transcends even the ninja system that fosters hatred and pain? And how can you expect the same people that unconsciously adheres to the same system to understand that?

Tsume likes Minato. He's one of the strongest ninjas she's ever come across and he's an exceptionally fair hokage while not going too far that it becomes a weakness.

He is not, however, an exceptionally good father. She would have described him as a good husband, before, but Kushina has never been able to forgive him for what he did to their daughter.

Kushina is still stuck on that day in more ways than one. The combination of a difficult birth and the fox demon ripping itself from her wrecked her body and chakra coils to an extent that she's barely an active duty ninja. But it's not just physical. Kushina lives in fear of that moment repeating, of finding herself powerless and trapped as her husband chooses protecting their village over their child, and it clouds her judgement.

Tsume can't fault Minato's choice, personally, considering what was at stake, nor Kushina's reaction when she woke up to find her infant daughter turned into a demon container.

She can't fault either of them for that day, but she faults them both for every day that came after.

Minato finds looking at his daughter to be painful, sees her as his failure as a father and a husband, and Kushina only sees her as the child she failed to protect from the one person she never thought she'd have to protect her from.

Naruto is so much more than that.

The girl graduated Top Kunoichi. She stopped a coup and saved the Uchiha as an academy student, for fuck's sake. She's spent her whole childhood getting into trouble, outrunning ANBU and hiding from her own clansmen when she breaks in to pet the puppies or goad Kiba into playing with her.

Anyone with eyes can see that whatever ill effects were supposed to occur from her containing the nine tails aren't there. She's strong and smart and clever which is even more important than being smart. She regularly beats clan heirs into the dirt and runs circles around whatever poor ANBU has been assigned to watch her.

But Minato and Kushina have never been able to see their daughter properly.

"What are you hiding from me?" she asks Naruto after another training session where she and Sasuke show up clearly having already trained together. She wishes she could spy on them, but it's in the Uchiha compound, which won't let her dogs in, and there's no Uchiha that will betray Naruto.

She grins, arms raised as she stretches her arms above her head. "Me? Hiding things? I'm an open book, Sensei."

Sakura scrunches her nose and Sasuke keeps his face carefully neutral in a way that means he's laughing at her.

Tsume growls at them but lets it go - she has a clan to run and training these brats takes up enough of her time as it is.

Besides. What she doesn't know, she doesn't have to report to the hokage.

Which she's pretty sure is the reason Naruto's not telling her.

Clever girl.

How Shino would react if an alpha start to flirt with him by sharing random fun facts about animals?

Hinata didn't know how she had ended up going along with Kiba's scheme, but here she was, sitting at a booth in a restaurant with a glass of water and a menu held over her face. Kiba was sitting beside her, doing much the same thing, although perhaps more conspicuously than her and with a plate of ribs instead.

The wide grin on his face made her regret every decision that led to that moment. But the admittedly heart-bursting adorableness that was Shino going on his first date reminded her of why she'd made those decisions.

"He's so grown up now, I'm so proud," Kiba said, grinning and wiping a fake tear from his eye.

"Shh, lower your volume unless you'd like Shino to see us." Hinata didn't want to admit that her most pressing concern was actually to be able to hear what Shino and his date were saying, something Kiba's 'whispering' wasn't going to allow.

"Does Shino even know what sex is?" Kiba asked suddenly, looking as though he were seriously pondering the question.

Hinata ignored him.

"-you know that bats are the only mammals that can properly fly?" Shino's date said with shining eyes.

"I did not," Shino said sounding breathless. He was looking up at his date and then down at his food periodically, seemingly too flustered to maintain prolonged eye contact. Hinata had to supress a squeal. "There are many bugs that can fly, but I find that people underestimate how strong their wings are. You see-"

"Oh man," Kiba groaned 'quietly', breaking Hinata's focus. "He's giving them the bug wing strength speech? I thought we were the only ones to get that, I thought we were special."

"Hush," Hinata said, much more harshly than she had meant. "Don't you want to see their reaction? We need to know if they are well suited to court Shino."

Kiba nodded seriously, then mimed zipping his lips and focused back on the couple just as Shino's wing strength speech found it's natural conclusion.

"Wow, that's so interesting!" the alpha said, no hint of sarcasm in their words. "You know so much about insects, that's so cool! Do you know any facts about ladybugs? Those are my favourites."

Hinata watched as Shino's visible skin went pink and he fidgeted the way he did when he was happy.

"I know many," he said, his voice remaining steady despite his flushing face. "I will explain some."

Hinata and Kiba grinned at each other, bickering forgotten. It probably looked strange, two teenagers watching two other teenagers on a date, smiling like proud parents and yet hiding behind the menus, but neither Kiba nor Hinata cared in that moment as they basked in the second hand joy of Shino going on his first, and very successful, date.

Naruto…..but if Neji was clan heir instead.👩🏽‍🦯

I’ve had this AU wedged in my head for like a year(and a half??) now and have just now made an art on it oop. So anyways…..Hinata has the curse seal and dies in place of Neji in the canon. Also Naruto actually reciprocates her feelings and they bond over the fact that nobody else likes/respects them.(by that I mean the village bc them mfs was beefing with kids for no reason💀) Shino and Kiba also thought of Hinata as like a little sister, so their reactions to them bringing her body back are very much NOT OKAY.

Neji and Hinata’s dynamic is the same despite now being in opposing positions in this. Neji is very much an axxhole but Hinata always saw past it since he was the only kid in their family that she could talk to or ‘play’ with. Sakura bears immense guilt over not being able to save her in time because she’s a medical ninja and was pretty much Hinata’s only female friend. I haven’t reached Shippuden yet (wack coming from me already making this art based off that timeline lmao) but Sasuke occasionally checks on the village here, hence his appearance in this. The “busy” referring to her funeral being held and the talks amongst the village people about the Hyuuga clan now no longer having a branch family(Hinata was the last, ik she has a sister but we’re gonna pretend their parents died before that) to use their cursed seal on.

Back to Naruto, yes he likes her in this, they’re basically labeled as childhood sweethearts by everyone else and they even promised to get married maybe two yrs prior to this.🥲Hinata’s family never liked him but as he is the only one left of his clan as well, they basically left them to their own devices since them marrying actually wouldn’t be a bad idea. Neji ,however, opposed it and often made fun of them for it. Hinata and Neji had always had a rocky relationship and it’s somewhat stable in this but Neji always took her and her help for granted until the year leading up to her death.

Let’s just say he was the one initiating conversations more and no longer displayed his animosity towards her as often, but he still had a bunch to work on. Also his father(he is alive in this) is devastated when they arrive back with her as a casualty.

I really need to make more to cover the whole context but this is all I could do y’all. I was getting impatient and I conveniently never make shit in order💪🏽.

How he holds your hand pt. 1

🚬Shikamaru

Shikamaru doesn't always hold your hand around others, but he will brush the back of his non-smoking hand brush against yours as he walks beside you.

At some point though (since he's secretly needy) he'll feel you're not 'keeping up' with him and slip your hand in his.

Definitely likes to lace your fingers together so he "doesn't lose you in the crowd" ... The crowd of 5 people on the entire block. Ok, sure. 🙄

If you're sitting with friends at a restaurant or bar, he also likes to play with your hand under the table.

He definitely links your hands again (his on top) and strokes your pinky with his thumb.

He likes to have just a bit of your attention at all times while he lazily chats with the group

And he definitely gives your hand a squeeze here and there when you're talking to someone else at the table.

🦴Kiba

Kiba barely holds your hand, you have to initiate hand holding with this man.

Now... On the other hand (get it) he is constantly touching you. There's always a hand on your back, your shoulder, his body is always smushed up against yours 😔

He loves throwing an arm around your shoulder to keep you close too. Usually he'll sniff at your hair then.

Or he's gently holding your bicep and dragging you places.

Kiba nuzzles your hair and face more than ever holding your hand

Okay there maybe some moments where he'll link his fingers with yours, but it's usually to hold you in place... If you catch my drift 👀

🍥Naruto

Naruto actively seeks affection and basks in it like the sun.

This man is always holding your hand, especially his real one, but if he has to he’ll hold your hand with his prosthetic. He might internally pout for a second.

He loves threading your fingers together, and giggles if you’re ever caught off guard by it.

Naruto will use that hand hold to pull you close for face kisses, smooching your nose, forehead and cheeks here and there.

He loves to in public take the hand he’s holding and kiss the back of it.

If you’re alone and he does this, he’ll look at you from down his nose bridge and you’re probably gonna get kissed within an inch of your life.

He likes to swing it as you walk, nothing too crazy but he enjoys the motion.

He’s also attempted to keep holding your hand while he gets something from his pocket.

If it’s winter he’s using your hands as his hand warmer, and sometimes takes both of your hands (giggling and mischievous of course) and uses them to rub his face warm.

Probably also while nuzzling his cold nose on your cheek as you giggled back and tried to pull away.

He may be Hokage now but it’s still going to be like you're still young.

🌑Sasuke

Now, Sasuke does hold hands... with the hand he has left.

It's just that he's so shy and desensitizing himself to affection that he's only gonna do it in private.

He'll be back home from his missions, and you're sitting on the couch and he'll easily slip his hand into yours while you watch the news.

Or while you catch up about how he's been.

Sometimes, like a skittish cat, he'll use that hand to tug you closer and initiate a cuddle.

He also likes to hold your hand late at night, after you're already tucked into bed and he's come home, taken a shower, and slips in behind you.

Sasuke will prop himself up awkwardly with his left shoulder blade and pull your hand up to kiss it.

Then move you so you're sleeping on top of him like a weighted blanket and hold your and his hand over your torso.

If he does happen to be home for a festival, though, especially a romantic one, he'll fight past his shyness and hold your hand as you walk around Konoha. He wants to be close to you, to always hold you; it's just hard still for him.

⏳Gaara

Of the touch-starved crew (Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara) he's got mixed reactions to hand holding and affection.

Side note to compare the three: Sasuke's trauma response was to reject affection. Naruto seeks it out explicitly and enjoys it, and Gaara did seek it out and he got hurt, so now he wants affection, but even as an adult, when he gets it, it's uncomfortable.

Gaara wants to hold your hand very badly.

Honestly, he'll find private moments to stand close to you, like brushing your hands together: But when it comes to sealing the deal, it's hard.

If he gently holds your hand, he's anxiety ridden about it. It's overwhelming.

If you try to hold his hand, even asking him and he says yes, he'll end up politely and quietly letting go after a bit.

It's entirely that he thinks if he seeks your affection and gets it, there will be some sort of catch.

That's not even the actual thought running in his head. It's that bits of affection have been so harshly taken away from him that the whole system feels unnatural.

Let him start with other types of affection, pressing your arms against each other on a lightning train ride to Konoha.

Letting him first get used to either of you resting your heads on the others shoulders

Even footsies is a better start. Hand holding will come; it'll just take time.

🧵Kankuro

Now Kankuro loves having your hand in his. It's probably because he uses his hands so much.

Also, he likes to use yours as a reference a lot, for his puppets.

In general he plays with, or sometimes gently prods at the joints in your fingers and hands, a lot.

He also loves kissing your fingertips. And when you're alone, lounging, he'll flop back dramatically and take your hand with him.

(possibly you might end up face first into his broad chest, too) and will nip and smooch each cute fingertip.

We all know he's kinda weird and silly and usually ends up licking them too. I'm sorry, it's true, okay?

He'll probably nip your wrists too and- damn how did you end up naked and post coitus, with Kankuro grinning triumphant?

Naruto Reaction to you flinching during a fight

A/N - hello everyone! Sorry if these seemed a bit repetitive, I started having a hard time thinking of 10 different scenarios for this one. Buuuut also it may trigger those slightly if you have ptsd from abusive relationships but nothing explicit! Just the reader flinching and arguing/yelling in this.

Includes - konoha 12 + Sai & Gaara

Naruto: The fighting seemed endless, you were tired and so was he, you could see it all over his face. Naruto’s bags under his eyes were dark, he was tired after a mission and just wanted to sleep. You on the other hand were nagging him like a mother scolding her son which made him even more irritated. He raised his voice which led to you raising yours in defense and the arguing only continued from there. After what felt like hours of yelling at each other, you had enough and walked away from him as he was speaking.

“Hey I’m talking to you!” Naruto raises his voice and grabs your wrist turning you back to him and one quick motion. He spun you around so fast. You flinched and ripped your hand away from him, stepping back a few steps with wide eyes.

“Don’t…” you said warily. Naruto looks confused, his eyebrows furrow and he looks at you.

“Did you?” He pauses for a moment. “Did you think I was going to hurt you?” You say nothing and he sighs while taking a step towards you and gently grabbing your hand into his. “I’d never. Get that out of your head immediately okay?”

Sasuke: You know not to poke the bear too many times, you should’ve never poked him to begin with, but it’s not like you meant any harm. He wanted to be left alone and you just wanted to keep checking on him like a doting mother to her son who is cooped up in his room. You were just checking on him, that’s all. It was when he was reading when you spoke again.

“Sasuke did you need-” the sound of his book slamming shut and a raspy yell came shortly after.

“What?” Shikamaru asks. “What did you think I was going to do?” You didn’t answer him instead, you just look down. Moments pass and you can hear him quietly sigh and repeat what he said earlier to you. “That’s what I thought…” he doesn’t waste a moment and pulls you to his chest, holding you tight to him. “Never, I’d never do that, you got that?”

Choji: All he heard was your nagging, your bickering, all he heard was you. You, you, you. He was tired of it. He was tired of everything and just wanted you to stop. He just needed everything to stop. “Enough!” He yelled. His hand slammed on the table while he stood up. You were close to him and the slam of his hand caused you to flinch back. “What do I do? I don’t know how to make this better, you need to tell me.” Choji says frightened but all you do is shut down and stare ahead.

Kiba: All he wanted to do was shower and go to bed, but you kept asking for help around the house. He was happy to help, but after the in detail explanation of how you wanted the dishes washed, he couldn’t help but groan out.

“Babe.” he groans and rubs his face frustrated, his hand coming by your head and making you flinch and apologize quickly.

“I’m sorry.” You say quickly taking a step away from him. “I shouldn’t be bothering you.” You say. Kiba looks over at you shocked at hearing you apologize until he saw you standing there frozen.

Shino: “I can’t fucking win with you.” Shino grumbles rubbing his temples as a headache soon begins to form. “I don’t know what you want from me if you don’t tell me.”

“Do I look like I am?” You stopped to look at him you were serious, oh so serious and Shino knew it. He knew it and he couldn’t believe how frustrating you were being right now. He threw his arms up fed up with you. You flinched back and Shino paused.

“Did you just? Do you really think that I’d do that to you?” He asked. He’s more unphased than anything and looks you in your eyes. “(Y/N).” He says.

“I-I just thought-”

Neji: I was a simple motion, something that you’ve seen him do plenty times before but his hand coming too close to your face caused you to shoot back and stop following him around.

Neji felt you jolt back, he didn’t see you flinch although he didn’t have to once he turned and saw your widened eyes. “Lee…” you speak out, he’s pacing back-and-forth while you’re watching him on the couch. He was in a mood once he got home and all you can assume is something happened when he was out. You sigh and lean back waiting until he finally decides to speak when you suddenly hear footsteps fastly approaching you, you shoot up to move to the other side of the couch your instincts moving you away from your boyfriend until you realize he stopped in his tracks seeing you flee from him. You both stared at each other, shocked and unknowing what to say to the other about what just happened.

Gaara: You flinched from him, he didn’t even know what he did to cause you to react this way, but clearly he had to have done something, because tears were falling down your cheeks and you were trembling as if you were a Chihuahua. He doesn’t move, nor does he say anything he can only watch as you squeeze your eyes shut and hold back a sob from slipping passed your lips. This has never happened with you two before and Gaara was at a loss for words, he wanted to hold you and apologize for whatever he did, but didn’t want to make anything worse so he did nothing. He took a step back and waited until you opened your eyes to look at him.

You nodded again, took a deep breath and dunked your head down, rather hurriedly. You must’ve panicked, as you spluttered and rushed your head up causing you to stumble against your feet and fall back-first. “Shit!” Kiba exclaimed.

He managed to catch you before you sank backwards. “I’ve got you…” he mumbled, pulling you by your waist, holding you close. He scanned your face. You were no longer breathing heavily and you managed to give him a relaxed smile. Your hair was dripping wet, your curls gently tucked behind your ears. Your hair was much longer when wet, just about under your shoulder blades. He had never seen your natural hair wet before. You looked ethereal. “You look like a mermaid” he breathed out as he cupped the back of your head leaning closer into you.

Given Konoha is a heteronormative, and prejudiced society, it would have not have reacted positively to the union of Sasuke and Naruto. Hinata is a stereotypical female hentai bait character whose whole purpose in life is to get a husband of her choice. Her choice happens to be Naruto, and the idea that her love should be ideally reciprocated by her object of desire doesn't really occur to her. She is portrayed as a typical Japanese girl. In Japanese society, women are fairly traditional (not counting exceptions). They typically adhere to traditional gender roles and having an individual ambition or evolution is not at the top of their priorities. She portrays such a woman, whose only purpose in life is to secure a marriage with the guy she likes. In one of his interviews at the end, Kishi said about her character that she would be really pathetic if she didn't get rewarded at the end. What was her reward? Naruto. She was not the only character to get rewarded for doing absolutely nothing, or nothing good at least. She is shown as someone unintelligent and proportionately unskilled, who doesn't move a finger unless it is to show off to her object of desire. If Naruto ended up with Sasuke, her reaction would be the same as when Sakura hugs Naruto at the end of Pein arc.

And nothing else. She would mope about and do nothing about it. Just like she didn't in Naruto the last movie. Except maybe knit a scarf. :/ Would it end in her character's resolution, some kind of realization? No. Kishi never showed her as having a capability to introspect and deduce calmly, she never thinks or even wonders about Naruto's feelings for her, she just thinks of her own.

Sakura? She already knows that Naruto and Sasuke's bond is special. But if they were officially united, it's pretty obvious that she would throw tantrums, like she does. She would get upset and angry, she would probably accuse Naruto of stealing Sasuke from her (yeah, she has very limited self awareness, also she is very good at repressing or dismissing stuff that doesn't benefit her objectives), she would probably abuse Naruto some more, she would whine and cry in front of Sasuke. Either that or she would outwardly show happiness for them but inner Sakura would be resentful, bitter, jealous and vengeful. Sakura is a malicious character, make no mistake. Her priority is her happiness, her pleasure, her ego. Like Hinata, she places her own ego satisfaction over the happiness of Sasuke, Sarada or her own long term happiness.

And these ladies had to be written this way to facilitate the Brokeback Mountainesque situation post Shippuden, two entitled and self centred women with very limited amounts of self awareness, who will be happy with their one sided love as long as their egos are satisfied, as long as they get to 'have' the men they like and want.

Where some characters show some awareness/knowledge of Naruto and Sasuke's special bond, such as Gaara, Itachi, Orochimaru, Kabuto, most others seem pretty heteronormative and consequently oblivious. Gaara loves Naruto but his happiness is in Naruto's happiness, so he will be happy to see Naruto happy. Neither does he disrespect Sasuke, like other characters do. Itachi suspected that there was more to Naruto's feelings for Sasuke. And he seems to know that Sasuke has feelings for Naruto as well. Itachi told Sasuke that Naruto will take care of everything, so I think Itachi will be happy to see Sasuke's happiness. Itachi does have a very twisted understanding of love and loyalty, but towards the end, he understands his brother and the world a little better.

Characters such as Kakashi, Shikamaru, Kiba, Sai, Suigetsu (who constantly push the characters of Naruto and Sasuke towards Sakura, Hinata or Karin irrespective of Sasuke's or Naruto's own disinterest or apathy) could never really tell whom Sasuke or Naruto loved, despite seeing how crazy and absolutely single mindedly obsessed Naruto was about Sasuke or that Sasuke would pro actively show concern for Naruto and Naruto only, especially in Shippuden. So characters like these would simply be surprised, and then blanch at Sasuke and Naruto getting together, and some would possibly show disapproval. Characters such as Jiraiya certainly would, who have a very narrow minded belief system about how men and women should be, and what their roles are in society.

Ino would cry and whine, but then accept the status quo. Her interest in Sasuke was also very fangirlish, she wouldn't suffer for long, and certainly get over it as soon as she manages to find another male romantic interest who is good looking.

Naruto's parents are also quite heteronormative, but I think they, at least Kushina will be eventually happy that her son is happy and thriving with Sasuke, that she who could not be there to provide a family to her only child, Sasuke took that role on and satisfied it. Minato would also follow suit. Doubtless, Naruto would be infinitely happy with Sasuke. Sasuke is his oxygen.

Oro and Kabuto would smirk, given they had always known it. Kakashi would probably introspect about how wrong he was about so many things, just like he was wrong about his father, Obito, shinobihood, and making Sakura false promises about Sasuke after the hospital fight.

Tsunade would be mildly surprised but won't have any malice or prejudice. The elders (and Danzo) would disapprove in a major way. Obviously. They represent the traditional and corrupt ways of the shinobi world.

Iruka would be genuinely happy (even if surprised) because his only condition is Naruto being happy. And Naruto will be happy with Sasuke. Tenten would say - Kawaai, and will continue playing with her weapons. Neji won't say anything, would probably just smile, and probably worry looking at Hinata's pathetic self, Neji knows she has feelings for Naruto.

Akatsuki members (except Itachi) won't give a shit. Hahahaha. They are non conformists, disillusioned, they don't care what society thinks. They very well know how hypocritical and unjust their world is.

Kurama would approve and be happy for Naruto, since he knows how much Naruto cares for Sasuke. Karin would also react dramatically, she'd be taken aback, get angry, then sad, but would eventually accept the status quo. Juugo wouldn't care as long as Sasuke is well. Hashirama and Madara would have a fleeting thought/regret about how Sasuke and Naruto achieved what they couldn't. The general population of Konoha would also disapprove, Naruto is their hero, as a hero, he serves their needs, and they won't be happy seeing Naruto breaking convention flagrantly. Also, they are wary of Sasuke, Sasuke's role in the war is not revealed to them, they think of him as a nukenin that Naruto forgave. They were seen approving Naruto and Hinata's union because Hinata is a princess heiress, and it's a fairytale wedding, and Naruto is a hero who eventually ends up with the princess. Typical heteronormative society.

Temari and Kankuro would be surprised, Temari would be subtle about it, Kankuro would be loud and perhaps a bit vulgar about it. In good humor though, I think he knows about Gaara's feelings for Naruto. But Temari and Kankuro would be pleased for Naruto's happiness but probably a bit sad for Gaara? Heheh.

Okay who else, who am I missing?

But yeah, that's how it would be.
