Ciri feels a bit like she's been in the way, once Geralt and Milek become closer - like she held him back somehow.

The thing I think is crucial about this - things went wrong and Geralt missed out on seeing Milek growing up - but Geralt is a dad. The parallels are there.

i know the hunger games isnt about romance i know it isnt a love story but. theres just something so beautiful in the way peeta is the personification of what it means to heal and he /is/ the dandelion and the bread and the hope that things can be better even if they wont be fixed. even if the nightmares dont stop he will still hold her. wake her up and tell her shes alive. shes safe. and when its over and done and theres no more saving or protecting or trying their absolute hardest to die if it means keeping the other alive, the horrors dont stop. but katniss will still find that comfort in peetas arms.

There is something so deeply tender about Zoro picking up Usopp's boots in Skypiea. Tender in a "I'll take care of you as much as I can, even if you don't notice it" way. Tender in a "You wouldn't think I notice these little things, but I do" way. Tender in a "Good grief, you're helpless sometimes, and I'll pretend to be annoyed by it, but that's just the way you are and that's fine by me" way.

There's something given about it, too. Like, of course he picks up Usopp's boots and carries them to the camp for him. Why wouldn't he? He notices, and he can take care of Usopp in this small way, so he does. Of course he does.

For such a rough, sometimes seemingly cold guy (even though we all know he's far from cold), Zoro has such a tenderness to him when it comes to Usopp.

Does Usopp know? Does Usopp know how much Zoro notices, and cares, and does every little and big thing he can for him? When Zoro drops off his boots at the camp, does Usopp notice? Does he see, does he feel the love in such a simple, yet meaningful act?

I hope he does.

whats fun about barry as a protagonist vs other Morally Complicated Guy Shows is that he seriously has no ambition lol, his wildest dreams arent like becoming super rich or relishing in holding power over people, like all he wants is simple happiness, maybe career success, normal life stuff, his wildest dreams are like…. being able to have a wedding. having a kid or two. and theres something reasonable about that, it makes him relatable for a while until the show is very clearly like No dude, that is a fucking serial killer, you should not gaf! and you’re like oh right lol. it’s crazy to make such a simple desire seem so malicious but still human

#like the true success of the show is that he feels just as entitled as walter white even though what he wants is so much smaller #L + serial killer + you’re a war criminal + you’re abusive + kys #barry #but i think it threads the line a little where by s5 of brba i had 0 care for walt i did not feel any emotional attachment #and tbh by the end i didnt even find the whole corruption arc interesting because he was just so painfully malignant and annoying #but barry wants sooooo little. and he’s sooooo stupid. and hes soooo arrested development 15 year old boy #that it still manages to be compelling and he still manages to feel like a human being #not a knock on brba which is incredible television obviously just doing different stuff #idk. something about how it’s tragic but also held at an appropriate distance so as to be laughed at too #like: the irremovable mark doing violence leaves on you.. the inescapability of it… IS sad! it’s sad #and most often IS the result of social conditioning and masculinity constructs and your dads friend grooming you etc #but it’s not the prime sadness. which would be of course the victims of that violence #like. duh #walter my reaction is just. Overwhelmed by nostalgia actually

#this will sound SO elitist of me #but #i miss my summer course at the boarding school that was closed after the summer and they carved out an artificial lake on the manor grounds #and converted the cozy two-person dorm rooms to have bunk beds to fit six to eight kids #apparently they also 'refurbished' a historic building on the site :(#i mean i'm glad someone is taking care of the site - it's so beautiful #but i miss the way it was soooo much and there's no way to go to that place again except in memories #and then !! sequel - cambridge 2019 #granted it would probably be much the same as a town if i went in summer again but it really was when i learned how much i love university #but yeah deeply sad and insane about [redacted] manor i miss it sooooo much #one of my teachers actually really liked me and wanted to seriously talk about me studying there full time oabdlskdödldöfo #obviously it was never going to happen because who pays english boarding fees when you can study 100% for free at home #but what if in an alternate universe i did study there #idk i don't feel that sad about THAT missed chance #mostly because i'm legit replicating it w my master's #but i do wonder if i'm going to spend the rest of my life chasing similar places and the way i felt that summer when i was 15 🥹#if you send me a dm and we're friends etc i will show you pictures of the manor because it looks amazing

#its our one year anniversary hehehehe #apologies to anyone who one year ago today had to deal with my incessant posting about this beautiful amazing hilarious supportive #loving caring divine gorgeous angelic man that i love so so so much !!!!!!!#gonna marry that man. eventually. when we no longer live with his parents #im making a spinach salad with strawberries and pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries and goat feta and raspberry vinaigrette #and then one of those cracker barrel baked mac kits (because im lazy but theyre sooo good and quick but FEEL fancy)#and then for drinks we're having french 75's!! which are fantastic even if u dont have real champagne #(which we do from new years/xmas and just never popped it)#its basically a shot of gin a shot of lemon juice/simple syrup (or just lemonade) and topped with champagne (or just sparkling white wine)#its sooooo tasty #and we have like 3 types of gin so like 👀👀👀 we cna get creative #i have bombay raspberry/blackberry gin that would be soooo good with it #or hendricks amazonia that we got in the cancun airport #or just classic empress gin which is expensive but niiiice and its purple hehe #but so is the raspberry one hehe

Really really funny that Justimon is like now one of my all time favourite digimon everrrr but I had a really lukewarm initial reaction to them that had to slowly change and evolve to the love I have now and even then despite all that I still think all of Justimon's major media appearances/the writing for them specifically so far are is like Mid/Mediocre LMFAOOOOOO

im gonna be honest i hate the new p3r opening cutscene. like a lot

#i DESPISE IT #the chaos and the noise...... theres NOTHING #its too clean and organized #theres no city noise there's no burn my dread in the headphones there's nothing to go silent once the dark hour starts because its #already quiet!!!!#the reason this works as an introduction to the dark hour is because of how stark the difference is #now theres none #i hate it i hate it i hate it SOOOOO much #i dont care if it like. what its supposed to be for the audience who know p3 already or to match makotos own experience with it because it #just doesn't work #and yukari trying to use the evoker just isnt as good as one continuous scene too. disregarding how it adds to everything it just doesn't #have you interested #you dont care who she is youre not worried or shocked or confused #even rewatching the fes cutscene now i still find myself concerned for yukari despite the fact i know shes not trying to kill herself #in reload? i dont. theres no noise or panic or tension. she doesn't even seem that anxious #so yeah i despise this cutscene. boooooo you suck #aethers rants
