mingyu: this man will not leave you alone. he is in love with you. and he’s cheesy! in a sweet way :) will kiss your hand every few mins, lean on you, or put his arm around you so you lean on him hehe. i think he would also want you to reciprocate the clinginess too hehe,,,it makes him feel loved :3 i can see him moving your hand to his hair to ask you to play with it, and if you stopped, he would just take your hand and put it back in his hair LOl. he strikes me as someone who would take care of you (kinda like how he takes care of drunk hoshi hehe) and makes sure you're ok, even if he's drunk himself :]

seungcheol: omg omg HES GOING TO DOTE ON YOU SO MUCH!!! “jagi are you ok” “jagi do you need water” “jagi i’ll walk you to the bathroom, be careful”...he doesn’t realize that he himself is wobbling around and spilling water, LMAO. he just wants to help his baby!!! would def ask where you’re going if you get up, ask you to stay over with him, etcetc. would always have an arm around you and constantly LOL. would also go on a random rant about how protective he is of you HAHAHA!! like “Y/N . junhui: i don’t think he’d necessarily be like talkative or doting, but i think he’s the type to just want to be around you and would sit really close to you :3 he almost gives me like Protective Bf vibes in the way that he’d just wanna be by your side to make sure you’re feeling ok too. plus, junnie just likes your company! i can picture him sending a lot of smiles toward you every few minutes because he’s so happy you;re his partner and he feels so comfy with you next to him :) also he likes leaning his head on your shoulder and he WILL show you cat pics the entire night…..pls comment on all of them or he’ll get sad. he also gives me the vibes of someone who has lazy days with his s/o after a night of drinking hehe…napping, hotpot and movies :)))

chan: oh my sweet chan,,he would just shower you with affection LMAO like “i love you. you’re amazing. you look so beautiful right now, you know that?” type of thing. he’s just the biggest simp hehe. i think hes also the type to just wanna have fun, he'd prob cheer you on if you took a shot like FUCK YEAH BABE GO OFF!!!! but i also think that he would be doing EVERYTHING for you. "i'll pour your shot!!!!! don't lift a finger SERIOUSLY!!!!!" asks you every 30min if youve had water. (you: yes. i had some 30min ago. when you GAVE ME SOME.) gets you snacks. if you needed to throw up he WILL hold your hair with a drink in the other hand (for him)!!!! he also helps you put your jacket on at the end of the night. it doesn't matter how drunk he is, he's firm on taking care of YOU!!! <3

wonwoo: he’s all smiles for you hehe. clings onto your arm whenever you’re near him. he wouldn't be too loud or anything, but i think he'd shyly whisper compliments to you now and then about how you look nice or how much he loves you. i think he’d be one of the more chill people, he just feels happier than usual bc of the alcohol hehehhe. usually, wonu is pretty good at keeping himself composed when you show him affection. but when he’s drunk, i think he’d react a little more…he strikes me as someone who’s more verbally/physically affectionate when it’s just you two, but around friends/family he tones it down. but when he’s drunk i think he would be comfortable having you sit on his lap or having an arm around you <3

jihoon: i am convinced lee jihoon is a different man when he’s drunk!!!!!!!!! i have a hot-ish take when it comes to drunk uji…omg woozi would SOOOO open up physically and emotionally to you..and he’d be the type to always, Always have an arm around your waist and constantly hold your hand, looking at you with a smile that leads all the way up to his eyes. he’s someone who has dealt with a lot in his life, but in this moment, he’s so grateful to be here with his friends, and someone he loves that also loves him for who he is. the reason i think he’d be like this is juts because like. he doesn’t drink much, but when he does, feelings he’s been keeping to himself finally come up to the surface. also his face, neck and ears are constantly bright red because of the alcohol LOL. but ALSO they'd be red the next day when he realizes how he behaved in front of you hehe…. don't tease him too much about it or he'll die of embarrassment!

seokmin: dont ask me why bc idk but i think he would ruffle your hair constantly because youre so cute. then he would get distracted and talk to the bros for a bit, look at you again and remember how cute you are and ruffle it again sorry i dont make the rules!!!!!!! dk is definitely the loud/funny drunk hehe…hes the type to be giggly/try to make everyone laugh :) but i think he’d definitely try to make you laugh the most !! mostly in terms of physical affection though, i think he’d just dote on you a lot…like you know in the dingo video how he kept kissing woozi??? yeah he does that to you. along with the hair ruffles. and the attempts to get you to laugh. good luck. you’re going to drown in affection from this man LOL.

vernon: HE WILL CARE YOU this man is all vibes. he’s just here to have a good time lol. you’ll probably be the drunk one who needs to be taken care of :3 but if he was somehow convinced to get really drunk, i think he would still just be vibes. but happier vibes. i think he would just laugh at everything and keep a hand constantly on your knee heheh. also i think he would encourage seungkwan’s antics more when he’s drunk i’m just saying .

minghao: minghao is just relishing in the moment of enjoying his time with his friends and partner~ he doesn't strike me as someone who drinks much, kinda like vernon. he'd be more focused on having a good time with everyone! i think he's the type to have hangover remedies ready for you at home for the next day. i think he would also be the type of bf to know when to cut you off LMAO like “y/n’s had 4 shots….hyung STOP pouring them another one!!!!!!!!” he just seems like he'd be prepared to take care of his partner :) you're so lucky!! he’s also the type to observe you and take pictures/videos if you’re doing something funny while you’re drunk LMAO!!!!

joshua: josh is a giggly drunk i have no doubts. also in the dingo video that man was RED af!!! would probably be like “im fine im SO SOBER RIGHT NOW…BABE TELL THEM HOW SOBER I AM!!!” he is not sober. i also think he would be the type to compare hands with you LMAO. you’re just like ???? you know how big both our hands are???? you’re literally my bf???? and hes like I JUST WANTED TO CHECK OK!!! tbh he seems so fun to be around LMAO like he on the way to the hangout hes like “babe lets match each other if u drink i drink” and ur like HELLO SIR???????? WHO IS DRIVING US HOME?????? (jeonghan does and he sleeps over.) he just wants to have FUN and let loose with the homies and his partner!!!! consequences are for TOMORROW, y/n!!!!!! jeonghan: i see him as someone who doesn’t go too wild when drinking. kinda like vernon and minghao, i think he’s more there for vibes than getting fucked up lol. if anything, he’s doting on you because he finds you so cute, especially when you’re drunk hehehe. HE would be the one to ask you to do aegyo or something and when you do he just dies of cuteness lmao. i think he would also tease you in silly ways, like convincing you that he and s.coups are actually long lost brothers who found each other in college, or that seungkwan is a natural blonde. and of course you believe him which is the funniest shit ever to him!!!! LMAO!!!!! your shock and wonder at his blatant lies is the cutest thing to him. don’t worry tho he’ll tell you the next day nothing he said was true, except for when he said he loves you :)

I started writing this story back in nov 2022 I abandoned it and came back to it March 2023 erased the ending and rushed it so sorry if this isn’t up to par I’m just trying to get this out of my drafts lol. Now a few pointers

★ Sanemi is OOC I just think that it would be really cute to picture him in this sorta dynamic.

★I tried to keep it gender neutral as possible this is also my first time writing a gn story so feel free to give me any possible feedback

★also as I always say this isn’t proof read AT ALL!! so there might be a ton of grammatical errors idrc HAPPY READING

There are only 3 characters who are color coded

“Are you sure you’ll be fine taking him with you I mean he’s only 4, He won’t be too much of a distraction for you?”

y/n said while doing their sons hair making his curls pop out a little more.

“He’ll be fine we’re not doing too much in class today anyways” sanemi sighed as he was getting dressed for work. “You’ll be good for daddy right?” y/n asked s/n while looking at him in the mirror. “MMHM” s/n said happily. Y/n was a little nervous at first about this whole ordeal when sanemi brought it up but all the doubt disappeared when y/n saw how giddy their son was to spend time with sanemi this was also the first time their son is going to be around a bunch of people at once, let alone a bunch of teenagers. how will he react? “he’ll be fine plus I’m there if anything does happen, which nothing will so stop worrying, You act like we’re going to war or something” sanemi chuckled as he patted his partners shoulders. “I know I know I guess I’m just a little worried” they sighed “for nothing, we’re gonna head out inna bit I have to get to work early. where is the little guy so I can put his shoes on?” “IM RIGHT HERE DADDY” his son squealed excitedly “LOOK”. sanemi sighed, a soft smile appearing on his face. “your shoes are on the wrong feet you dork c’mere” Y/n packed everything sanemi needed for Haruto in his book bag so he wouldn’t get bored. “are you all set and ready to go?” sanemi said while picking his son up into his arms. “Have fun you two” y/n waved at the two before they left.

Sanemi got to class 1 hour early so he could prepare his classroom for the day. students started rolling in and filling in their seats, two of his students ran into his classroom one slapping the other repeatedly. “INOSUKE STOP HITTING TANJIRO FOR THE LAST TIME I WILL NOT REPEAT MYSELF” Inosuke gruffed as he plopped into his desk. “hey sir, who is that child sitting in your chair? if you don’t mind me asking” Tanjiro asked pointing to the child as his classmates started to quiet down since they all wanted an explanation. “He’s my son. I decided to bring him in with me today he won’t be too much of a distraction” sanemi said as he started gathering all of the papers on his desk into a neat pile. The class all became strangely quiet so he looked up to see what was wrong “yes?” He said as he quirked his eyebrow. “YOU HAVE A CHILD??” they all yelled in Unison. “FORGET ABOUT THE CHILD YOU’RE MARRIED??” Zenitsu yelled freaking out. “Is that a problem?” sanemi started to get angry. “I just feel bad for the sorry sack who decided to tie the knot with you” Inosuke said bluntly. Sanemi threw an eraser at the boys forehead. “Before we get started on today’s plan how about I let him introduce himself to you all” just before the boy was about to speak everyone zoomed in on him making him feel so small, he hid behind his daddies leg. “it’s okay remember how we practiced in the car do it exactly like that okay don’t be shy” sanemi said as he pushed him up front, everyone weirded out about how soft he got for a sec-. “h-hello my name is s/n and I’m 4 years old” he showed everyone on his fingers. All of the girls in the classroom started cooing at the young boy. “AWWW HES SO CUTE” they shouted. “thank you” s/n said blushing at his shoes, he ran back to his dad and hugged him. “You did good, now go sit down for a little bit alright daddy has to do his job okay” “okay” s/n said shyly as he ran back to sanemi’s seat.

The rest of the day went smoothly as s/n opened up throughout the day and became more talkative. During passing periods Haruto would run to the other teachers classrooms to greet them. He ran up to the first classroom and walked in. “Uhhhh mr Iguro Theres a Child standing in the door way” one of his students said confused. Iguro was about to tell the child off before he raised his eyebrows in confusion. “s/n?? What are you doing here?” “I’m with daddy today he let me come to work with him today” he basically shouted happily “I see, well im in the middle of teaching right now how about you come back later okay? “Okay see you later” on his way back to his fathers class he stopped by Uzui’s class, they were all circled around a bowl of fruit quietly drawing it on their own. “I LOVE DRAWING CAN I DRAW TOO?!” The entire class was startled by the broken silence. “s/n??, What are you doing here kid? And what a flashy way of entering a room” Tengen said smiling at the kid ear to ear “I’m here with daddy” “of course you are but where is he? “In his classroom” “well I’m kinda in the middle of a class kiddo so how about you run back to your father and I’ll catch up with you later, how does that sound” “OKAY BYE BYE” just as he was about to run off again sanemi scooped him up “there ya are punk, you can’t go running off like that especially not at my job,what if principle Ubuyashiki caught you before I did huh?” “Sorry daddy I went to go see uncle Oguro” “let’s go eat lunch y/n packed you something delicious” sanemi said “YAYYYY”.

overall he enjoyed being at work with his father and seeing what he did daily. Some of the kids would chat with him which he loved of course and even colored with him. The class fell in love with him very much only knowing him for such a short while. I liked today Do you think I can come to work with you tomorrow daddy?” “Of course you can.” Now let’s go home I’m sure y/n can’t wait to hear all about your day today”

the fun thing about durgetash for me as far as definitely toxic ships go, is that gortash and durge, as individuals, are toxic. but the ship itself? not toxic at all in my take. because as horrible as they are as people, the love they have for each other is actually very genuine. everyone else in the world is dust under their boots except for each other. they truly respect each other and get along frighteningly well and listen to each other and support each other’s atrocities and so, if you ignore the screaming of their victims in the background, their relationship is actually kind of healthy.

to be fair: this is with my version of them in mind lol i know other people have spicer takes where they ARE actively toxic to each other and such, and those are fun too but ive gotten so into the version of them where they both just exude toxicity to everyone in their lives EXCEPT each other. it’s already a trope im very weak to but its especially crazy with them. its like they cancel each other out somehow lol

like i think it takes a while to get to that point of course, to build up actual trust enough to feel even slightly safe around each other, but once they open up to each other the affection-starvation just jumps out. and then despite everything they manage to actually be gentle with each other. and neither of them deserves gentleness of any sort, but they get it anyway, from each other.

so for me durgetash is “toxic” only by virtue of the individuals involved being horrible terrible people, and because they gleefully support each other’s evil plans, and not because of how they actually treat each other, which is actually the closest thing to “normal” either of them will ever experience (and it is still so, so far from “normal” lol)

but it’s still also nice to be in a ship where the discourse is so obvious we don’t even bother lol. yes gortash has a list of human rights abuses longer than he is tall. yes he’s gonna have an evil cuddle with his evil partner-in-crime in their evil bedroom after a long, hard day of being evil. and i’m gonna be thinking about it <3

I think durgetash just works because...they are so blatantly evil.

Gortash tortured a bunch of people trying to figure out how tadpoles worked, and the evidence of his crimes is in the mindflayer colony beneath Moonrise and in the Steel Watch Foundry. His Steel Watch guards literally kill children and innocent families.

The Dark Urge mentions killing (eating?) a BABY. They have killed thousands. They eat human meat. They torture people.

They both started the entire plot by being total pieces of shit.

So what are you going to do?

Cancel them???

The game cancels them.

Gortash literally got cancelled so hard his brain popped.

The Dark Urge dies in most playthroughs. They only become redeemable by literally dying and becoming a new person. Plus their life is so fucking awful, that it almost cancels out how bad they are, because they're a vessel of Bhaal, who can either choose obedience or death.

They are both so outrageously evil, you can't even be outraged.

No one on the entire planet is defending either of them.

It almost defeats itself as an argument, like, you say Gortash is horrible, and I say yeah, man. You say, the Dark Urge is evil, and I say absolutely.

But that's kind of why...a relationship between the two of them IS so good, though.

Sure, there have always been villainous ships, but...something about these jagged creatures having a soft spot for one another...

It just works.

It's...it's taking two wretched beasts, and giving them something human to hold between their claws.

How can you support them being together, but how could you deny them this?

They're so horrible, they don't deserve love, but at the same time, seeing profoundly evil people are still capable of love, and humanity is inescapable, no matter how inhuman you are...

Hmmmm.

Yes.

The worse Dark Urge and Enver are, the better Durgetash comes.

That's the wonderful conundrum.

what's your process for coloring like? the look of that elendira is so textured and interesting, i can't figure out how you do it

AA THANK YOUU ^__^ !! textures & brushwork are my favorite things abt my art, so im happy you find it interesting hehe . its SOO cool to look at & so much fun to draw imo

i prefer to color by building in layers , if that makes sense 🤔!! hundreds of them !! such that i'm always drawing on Top of previous layers, working from big & messy blocks of color to, eventually, small and refined blocks of color until it feels processed enough. as a result, i rarely ever erase (!!) and i rarely ever draw lineart aside from the initial sketch

a rough, patchy textured brush is key here, as it'll give you dimension and variability w/ your colors. i recommend "Brush and various sets of fountain pen style (万年筆風ブラシと色々セット)" on Clip Studio (ID: 1679706) !! :3

im terrible with explanations though, so i'm going to show a step by step of that elendira drawing if you dont mind :3

sketch layer !! because i mostly render through color alone, i try to make this as close to the finished thing as possible . ^__^ i hateee drawing the same thing over and over and like the expressivity and movement of my sketches anyways , so the more i can preserve at this step, the better. if u were to look at a side by side of my sketches and finished pieces, youd notice a lot of those og lines are present in the final drawing :3

2. flats !! pretty self explanatory, but the solid background gives me an idea of where the figure begins & ends while the colors themselves help distinguish whats what . i stick to ambient lighting @ this point because im usually not sure what i want to do with the overall palette or lighting yet . having two tones (ex, dark and light in her hair or dark and light on her skin) can also help in identifying key features early on that u wanna preserve. as you build layer by layer, sometimes these areas will remain untouched and i think it makes for a rly lovely feel at the end

3. start blocking !!! to be totally honest with you, i dont really know what i do here HAHAHA. like i just scribble the shit out of it, usually focusing on what i might want to do with lighting (ex: grey areas to accentuate folds in her costume). i think i like to start "erasing" the sketch where possible by coloring on top of it .. like if you look at her hat or her arm , you can tell i'm starting to get a sense of the shapes i like vs the ones i dont. it's at this point that the final image starts to emerge in my mind , like im gradually pulling her from a tarpit of scribbles until shes recognizable lol. chipping away at the marble until i can free her. tbh.

4. keep blockingg...when u think u are done , block some more . as you can probably see, the brushwork becomes more intentional as i add more shape, with specific focus on line weight. this is also where the patchiness of that textured brush comes in - notice how none of the colors seem totally uniform (ex: the red cross or the original sketchlines for her waist). you can see bits and pieces of the layers underneath pushing through and i really like that !! ^__^ its very fun and sketchy to me, so i try to keep them around. those areas are also great to colorpick from, because it'll give you "new" colors to work w/ that are already part of your palette.

5. GRADIENTS & GRADIENT MAPS !! TONE CURVE !! COLOR PICKER !! this is the best stage tbh. flatten your image so its all on one layer and just go crazy with all the color settings in ur program. add gradient layers and set them to darken, or overlay, or subtract, orrr. lighten or dodge glow or divide or soft/hard light.! OR!! edit the hue, saturation, luminosity and contrast.and then color pick from these edits, block even more on top of ur image, flatten, color edit again, etc. etc. until u feel satisfied.

ANYWAYSS . i hope that makes sense @__@ sry i wrote this out and deleted it like 23 times trying to make it make More sense but thats what ive got HAHA i hope its useful though :3 !

#SRY I STRUGGLED 2 EXPLAIN THIS #dude its like my brain bcomes stuffed w/ cotton anytime i try 2 write #i hope it makes sense tho..#it also probably sounds so redundant to make new layer one after the other for just a few brushstrokes #but those brushes i linked have a multiply property so if you draw on top of prev lines they'll create dark patches #and so if im working over a large area ill generally need like . 5 layers each with one brushstroke :sob: if that makes sense #this one had . 84 i think. total. layers i mean. the merylvash one had 300+ HAHAH so it rly depends #like YEAAH i could just use a normal brush but i really like the way this looks #andd sometimes the multiply function works really well or will give me the proper shadow tone im looking for #anywas.wanywaysn anyways #asktag #anonymous #long post

i gotta say, whist fraxus is easily the most popular freed ship, and one i have always loved, recently ive started preferring bixfreed, if only due to the fact that it’s one of the only gay freed ships where he’s not made into the “flamboyant one”. thats bixlow. noone is out flamboyanting bixlow, and he never loses any masculinity despite it.

ive always hated how common it is for freed to be completely mischaracterised (not even flanderised hes just straight up not the same character anymore) in most gay ships. people seem to really love making him a “damsel in distress” type, especially with fraxus, i can only assume because laxus is so stereotypically masculine.

this really seems to only be an issue with gay ships including freed (although it is especially egregious with fraxus, and a LOT of old miraxus media. no im not getting into that.)

ive never seen a ship involving freed and a woman that has this issue. he’s almost always presented as this suave intellectual, a gentleman, someone independent, but who chooses to help others. (i personally headcanon freed to be gay so its always a little annoying seeing him being characterised so much better in many of these straight ships lol)

anyway back to bixfreed

its always fun seeing freed have to act as the straightman (lol) to bixlow, and it further helps bixlow’s own character. its so good to see a man be presented as wearing typically feminine things (his skirt and nail polish), and be so willing to be silly, to goof around, to hang off ceilings, and yet not once is his masculinity compromised.

I’ve seen a great deal of fanart of freed where i genuinely thought he’d been genderbent. Freed is still a masculine character, but so many fans just see his eyelashes and hair, and throughout the series mashima just fed into this, especially in the anime, with multiple “gags” of him fawning over laxus, to the point where fans started comparing him to juvia (also someone who was flanderised to the point of being unrecognisable.)

ok ok ok i just got home and as always here are my thoughts

really enjoyed colin lemoine's take. in terms of just pure vibes hes a step closer to damon daunno than reeve carney. he's not as boyish comic relief as nicholas barasch and he feels like the most.... grounded?? orpheus i've seen. he acts out the "touched" aspect without flanderizing orpheus into just his naivete and rendering him foolish and infantilized. the best way i can describe it is that he just seems like an optimistic but ultimately ordinary guy you could meet at a grocery store line who also happens to be plagued w Unfortunately Blessed with Musical Visions by the Gods Against His Will Syndrome

amaya braganza!!!!! jesus what a vocal powerhouse. her flowers killed me. something about her vocal inflection or acting choices really made her grief over losing her life and her love so visceral. she would be right at home at the obc recording because her voice was pitch perfect. she has a terrific belt but it's during the quiet moments where she's the most effective. like at the end of all i've ever known you can really feel she's already mourning her loss before she's even lost anything which is why flowers was more heartbreaking than normal

will mann is the most intriguing part of this cast to me. hermes actors have the choice of landing on the spectrum of objective narrator to a guardian figure. will feels like the most paternal. you get the sense that not only did he observe orpheus grow up he also had an active hand in raising him. when orpheus nervously stops during epic iii will says "go on, baby" with "baby" obviously ad-libbed 😭 like yes that is his baby

my only real critique of this performance is that the show doesn't actually pick up until way down hadestown. not sure if the cast just wasn't feeling the crowd or themselves until that point (it was a sunday night so i get it). i just make note of this bc livin it up on top is this high energy number that felt strangely middle energy for some reason lol anyone who was experiencing the show for the first time and had no frame of reference wouldn't notice anything amiss but bc im abnormal and pedantic i definitely noticed

and this is by no means a critique of lana gordon's persephone whose lady of the underground is one of the top highlights of the show. she brought the roof down during "there's a crack in the wall".

which brings me to my favorite part of the show: matthew patrick quinn. i didn't think anyone could replace patrick page in my heart but i was just in love with everything matthew brought to this character. he manages to combine facets of patrick and kevyn morrow's hades that i love together. matthew has kevyn's slick charisma and anger but he has patrick's power and world-weariness. he's this incredibly tall, serpentine, and long limbed figure that towers over everyone. patrick as an intimidating and antagonistic force felt like an ancient old god who can break your house by inducing an earthquake but matthew's vibe is more like he could literally be the snake that could tempt you out of a garden of eternal paradise

he and lana are also 🔥🔥🔥 like you can simultaneously feel the millenia of history between them but they also have the chemistry of two hot people going on a date for the first time after a long period of slowburn. the resentment, the familiarity, he way he's obviously repressing his desperation to keep her and both trying to look unaffected and turning to their vices when they reject each other's touch i could absolutely scream

which is why i was sobbing by the end of epic iii. i think the catharsis was just a lot lol and they were so playful during their dance too! like actual lovers who have the most absolute fun during good times. matthew does this little wiggle for her when they're sidestepping and im 100% sure lana broke character and they both started laughing it was so sweet

anyway the fates, the ensemble, everyone was astounding and im gonna see if i can grab another cheap balcony seat before they leave in a week to see if i can catch j antonio rodriguez as orpheus

felipe questioned clement's girlfriend, who just joined him, clem, marcus and dennis at a table in the hospitality where they were discussing the free practice they had earlier.

"im good, how about you?" she asked back giving him and the others a small hug.

"living the life, i guess." he answered offering her the chair where he was sitting near clem, going to the spare one next to marcus.

the couple shared some kisses, and the new zealander decided to tease them about it.

"get a room you two."

"or we can continue and you can go find yourself a girlfriend." the frenchman retorted with the approval of the whole group.

"no but seriously guys, when are you getting girlfriends? don't get me wrong, you're funny, but i would like some company when you're on track." ines added. she wasn't close with any other driver's girlfriend, beside the fact that they weren't present at every race, so she was often alone.

the boys started chatting about some girls they were talking to, and didn't noticed felipe's eyes darting from side to side in anticipation.

"actually-", he cleared his throat getting everyone's attention, "i have a girlfriend."

mouths agape and glances were flying around him after the confession. he waited for someone to break the silence, and dennis did.

"nah, you don't." the boys expressions relaxed, and ines pouted, believing more dennis' words than felipe's.

"what?! of course i do, why wouldn't i?" he was sure they would have made fun of him, but not that they wouldn't believe him at all.

"man, you were literally talking about farting in the car five minutes ago." clem pointed out resembling the conversation they had before ines arrived.

"yes, cause you asked me to!" the brazilian threw his hands in the air. he really didn't expected this kind of reaction.

"okay okay-", marcus stepped in when his friends started arguing about the existence of this fictitious girlfriend. "let's give him the benefic of the doubt, he does have a girlfried. then why we never saw her to races?"

"she goes to college. and she has compulsory attendance, thus it's usually me visiting her during week days, and her visiting me weeks off so we can spend more time together. she planned on coming to see the races next week. they are pretty close to her home, and her session ends in a couple of days." the boy explained the situation as it was, hoping to finally convince his friends.

"it make perfect sense." dennis simply replied.

"it does cause it's the truth! but you refuse to believe me." felipe crossed his arms as a sign of frustration. he felt incredibly fortunate and delighted to have found someone like you, who made him light-hearted, happy and that was always so supportive of him, and he couldn't share this joy with the closest people he had because they were as mature as kids.

"let's postpone this conversationt to next week then, uhm?", ines tried to smooth the waters changing subject. "but just for the record, i really hope not to be alone next friday." she concluded winking at the boy.

"count on her."

it was friday, the day you were coming for the first time to see one of felipe's races in person. him, clement and ines were in their motorhome doing nothing, or better, patiently waiting for you to show up.

"oh come on man, just say you don't have a partner so we can all go back to our lives." clement almost shouted, tired of just sitting tight.

your plane was supposed to arrive at the airport hours ago, and felipe would have picked you up if only the company from where you bought your tickets wasn't famous for its delay. the main problem was that felipe had to be in the paddock when your plane was expected to land, which meant you had to reach the track and get past security all the by yourself. but after a solid half an hour, you finally arrived and started looking for an orange suit.

"drugovich!" you exclaimed when you saw him in front of his car with other two people you couldn't recognize. he turned around and approached you, embracing you warmly.

"y/n! you made it." he moved back a little to look at you properly. moving a strand of hair out of your face, he leaned down to leave a sweet kiss to your lips.

"i missed your face, you know?" you whispered with your hands on his cheeks, before getting on your tiptoe to give him another kiss on the tip of his nose.

"i hope you missed more than just that." he joked, your laugh following.

you detatched and made your way towards the couple, who was now accompanied by other two boys. all of them were staring at you with wide eyes, except the girl who was broadly smiling.

"well, everybody meets y/n, y/n these are marcus, dennis, clem and his girlfriend ines" you could clearly tell how thrilled he was to introduce you to his friends from how his voice became slightly high pitched.

you talked a bit and caught up before an engineer called the teammates in orange, as they had to get ready for the free practice. the brazilian hold you close and whispered to your ear "I'll be back in a hour or so"

"drive safe, I want you in one piece" you responded with an hand in his hair to ruffle it.

when all the boys left, you remained with ines, who locked her arm with yours to bring you to the motorhome where you could watch the race and get to know each other a little better. you were glad you found someone to spend the time with, especially since she seemed great company.

once close to the cars, ready to get in, clem gave voice to his first impression of you to felipe."she looks cute. are you sure you didn't pay her to play the part?"

"really funny clem, but no, I did it all by myself, imagine that." he said proudly.

"mh. but I still don't believe you got a girlfriend" he ended the conversation getting in the car after their last call, only to be met with felipe's grin.

Lol in reality I've been shipping them in secret for a long time. Gushing in my DMS to my friends about all their interactions for a long ass time. I've just been rambling publicly about it lately.

(mostly started with jokes between @witchysolfan and I in DMs cus ofc it starts out as jokes)

I pretty much started shipping Solar with Moon back when he was just called "Nice Eclipse"

I rambled a bit about it here.

But Solar does a lot for Moon, outside of the realms of just "helping a friend"

Solar was willing to sacrifice himself, not only for Lunar's sake, but to kill Eclipse, and Protect Moon's family. A Moon he doesn't even know. When his Moon has been nothing but cruel and abusive toward him.

Moon was unwilling to lose that sacrifice, and pushed Solar into the portal to save him, and Solar actually punched and cussed him out for it. Even if he was angry, he appreciated the save. Even if he thinks Moon did it for his own sake... just to "not let another person die" You can take this as personal as you want in "he didn't want to let his friend Solar die"

Not to mention, a few episodes later, Solar legit abandons everything he's ever known. He knows he reached a dead end and there's no saving his Sun or Moon. There's no hope of bringing Sun back. No hope of his Moon liking him. No hope of being loved, cared for or a family. His dimension is a dead end....

So he just shows up in Moon's Daycare... Like ..... And to MOON. Specifically... IS LIKE:

"Can I crash here......I had nowhere else to go..."

....That's like one of my top ten romantic troupes how.... like im losing my mind....

Solar is also appreciative of this dimension Moon in a way that he's not with his own Moon. Maybe he was seeing our Moon as a replacement for is, but I think their friendship evolved past this point.

The whole Solar rebuilding the Daycare in a Day episode and Moon gawking at him just made my heart soar. It felt very "As you wish" Princess Bride shit, you feel me?????

Not to mention, Solar and Moon get eachother's humor. They're both a bit of snarky sarcastic assholes and they like teasing each other. And maybe it was just me, but I could never take those teases in a familiar/family way.

Not to mention, Solar was the one that Moon ran to when he was struggling with his NewMoon identity... Not Sun, because his brother he felt just was missing the old him so he couldn't be honest. And Solar readily accepted that part of New Moon so readily.

Moon, in kind, does listen to Solar when he vents about his life and his problems and even suggests he takes breaks and make sure he's not overdoing it. He watches out for him too.

Solar even in the latest episode was so concerned when Moon got sucked into the portal, and even comforted Moon when Moon was being a bit existential about being "one of the dead ones"

They listen to eachother vent, Solar makes things for Moon, Moon even tells him he doesn't need to do all this just for them, and Solar insists he wants to.

Just all their interactions sometimes make my brain explode into mush.

Anyways, don't take this too seriously. I'm just having fun. But all aboard the ship train, choo choo.

LMAOOO OK so this is one of my favorite things ever solely bc theres SO MANY different ways it can go and literally all of them are fucking gold

i feel like they always knew varian was Not Straight. im a big fan of the idea that varian transitions after qfad and has a big mental breakdown haircut when his dad gets trapped and considering his feelings towards both eugene and cass i think it was always this unspoken thing all of them knew about. rapunzel and eugene however were obviously Not expecting him to bring home a whole ass boyfriend

of course varian wrote tons of letters home so they both heard everything about the new friends he was making, but varian was insistent on not telling them ANYTHING about his crush because god knows how rapunzel would react if she found out about That. she was suspicious when he came back for the light trial but decided to keep her mouth shut until they were all finished with their work there

i love rapunzel and eugene being super supportive but also a Little protective. and its not really anything to do with anything hugo’s done, they’re all about second chances after all but they’re obviously not ready to see their baby brother grow up so fast. ive seen a lot of fics where one or both of them are very defensive and suspicious towards hugo and it ends with a VERY yummy confrontation from varian where he tells them they need to learn that he’s an adult now and is able to make his own choices and they have to be okay with that. but the route of them being so excited and supportive that it ends up being overbearing is also super funny and in character

i think rapunzel at first would be super excited varian is finding love, and very welcoming towards hugo on a surface level- but as time goes on the tiniest things start to make her paranoid, and she worries a lot about varian getting hurt in some way. cue her snooping around a lot just to make sure he’s okay, varian eventually confronting her about it and her apologizing and promising to recognize varian’s maturity and be more accepting of his choices.

when rapunzel actually starts to see hugo on a deeper level she starts to recognize a lot of his similarities to varian, eugene, and especially herself, and she’s now basically like “oh ok!!! new baby brother!! :)”

she then tries to be a lot more welcoming towards hugo, trying to help him settle into the castle without being too overbearing. of course from hugo’s perspective her seemingly constant mood swings make him very hesitant to trust her, but eventually through varian the two are able to bond and find a lot of common ground

eugene on the other hand is fun bc he’s way more versatile and it can go a LOT of different ways depending on how they’re introduced or how their past together is established. i love the idea of him basically becoming Cass 2.0 and being super overprotective of varian but i also like to imagine he’s mostly just so hostile towards hugo bc he recognizes so much of his younger self and is Cringing about it (he would literally NEVER admit it though). like he’s like “i cannot STAND that kid he always acts so cocky and like he’s sooo much better than me” and cass is like “lmao yeah right? he’s exactly like you when you first came here” and eugene’s just “😐”

anyways they’re best friends (they literally cant stand each other)

no they do start to get along eventually though and i have so many thoughts about the potential friendship between the former thieves, lance hugo and eugene would be SUCH a dynamic and this fandom is sleeping on it fr

and then theres cass. GOD cass is my favorite in this situation by far bc shes way more logical and is like the only grounding force between rapunzel and eugene. new dream are the overemotional parents/older siblings in this situation and cass is like. the wine aunt.

bc see cass already ran into varian at some point during his journey and has already processed most of these changes ahead of time. she already recognized how much varian had matured and how much this trip had changed him. and most importantly she recognized what was going on between him and hugo a Long time ago and literally Did Not Care

in fact cass’s main concern is literally just that she thinks hugo is annoying. its not like she’s suspicious of him at all bc she fully trusts varians judgement and also knows varian is capable of handling himself. she’s aware that varian clearly saw something in hugo and chose him for a reason. she just doesn’t like him solely out of personal bias

cass doesn’t straight up tell raps and eugene what the problem is because she knows they need to hear it from varian more than anything but she does try to kind of push them in that direction. she reminds them like “hey maybe you should try to give the kid more credit. i think he knows what he’s doing” yk that kind of thing.

ironically enough though hugo is WAY more scared of her than he is of anyone else. shes like on the same level as quirin on his list of threats which is hilarious because they are the main 2 people who have like, basically nothing against him

hugo: so is this the part where you tell me you’ll kill me if i hurt varian

cass: ? what?? oh no that bitch is fully capable of killing you himself if he wanted to

Oh yeah, I've been seeing a lot more posts and questions about the arcana's modern au, and it's why I was so happy to dig up all those old ask arcana posts! I'm so glad we have all that canon content from way back when, it was so sad that I could only put ten images in one post T~T

And Muriel definitely lives off the grid - I also remember another ask arcana that said in modern times he'd wear a cable knit sweater on top and leather pants and demonias on bottom and that works so well for him XD

speculating what the s8 islanders will look like as an excuse to draw lol idk why im not going in order here's the sports physiologist

ok so obviously my art style is a bit simpler than the game's and I didn't take a ton of time to render it but I think the elements are there and here's my reasoning (warning this is long lol)

the disclaimer is I read the application once and then started drawing so I think in my head I got it confused and thought this was gonna be the Bobby/Rafael cutesy fun guy of the season and rereading it now I realize I am wrong, but I still stand by certain choices.

Sports physio/cycling thing was a big thing for this. I think he shouldn't have very defined abs but the game will draw him like that. Cyclers tend to have skinnier torsos but bigger thighs/legs and I didn't draw the legs bc I'm lazy but know that in my head, he's got thick thighs. I didn't draw him with like a huge chest or arms also because of that, but because it's still LITG, he does have some definition on his arms, just not a lot. I really think I could see this guy working in sports physio.

And because he takes care of people for a living and is the "big romantic," I think he needs to look very charming, to a point where he's almost disarming. (This is where I got it in my head that he's the Bobby/Raf of the group bc lover boy vibes. Personality wise he feels like Rohan imo who is similar). Therefore I drew a lot of his features as very soft (softer jawline, fleshier nose) but also just big round eyes to draw you in. I looked at Tyrique from love island season 10 for a bit of inspo because I think he's got such a pretty face but still is pretty masculine, and he has big round eyes so that's why I did that.

I also decided on curly hair, in part because of my confusion with Bobby/Rafael, but also I think it adds to the charm because it's clearly styled but tries to look effortless. I used a younger picture of Dev Patel for it. That's also why he has a little bit of facial hair to help age him up but also works with the aesthetic I was going for. The piercings are fully a self indulgent add-in, I just it's attractive.

Ok so this is where it gets confusing because I did intially draw some sharper features on him and had a different color palette for his skin and hair. I was imagining him as "spicy white" just because Bobby and Raf are mixed so they would change it up just slightly for this guy. I think nothing that's too contrasting to make him look brooding like Joyo. So initially this was definitively a tanned white guy with curly reddish brown hair, some facial hair, and a defined nose, and then I was like this is really close to Rocco. So I changed some features and some colors and here we are now at ethnically ambiguous? I'm not gonna think too hard about the ethnicity of this character because this is fake and it's fusebox's problem when they release the real character.

Looking back, if I redrew the character, I'd go for full or half South Asian just because I did use dev patel as a hair reference. But also maybe just hopeful because aside from Angie, the other South Asian rep in recent memory I can think of is Marshall (messy), Ozzy (messier), and Suresh (messiest), so I just think we should get a cute one. (also Priya, Rohan, and Arjun who aren't nearly as bad but only one of those is a LI and they're sort of dead right now so)

anyway overall the process of drawing him was kind of a mess because I had confused some things in my head and like I said, was accidentally drawing Rocco (underrated design btw) but this was the first one I did and I don't think I'm right, this is just a fun little activity for me and he's the first one I drew so I wasn't very sure about a lot of things.

so if you read this far congrats for getting though my ramblings. The next ones I'm doing aren't nearly as complicated 😂😂

Ill stop being a broken record soon (about sherlock chapter one anyway - im just starting the next game and WILL be blathering about it lol)

If you do want to play a be-sherlock simulator? Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is worth checking out. Or if, like me, you like detective games generally (i recommend Judgement by the way if thats your vibe), id also say pick this up because the freedom to make wrong deductions and decide outcomes is quite the unique choice and its interesting to see. Many detective games can give you a case to solve (and as a story nerd id like to solve them thoroughly and correctly). And they'll hold your hand to some extent because u generally do Need to solve the cases to continue the game. Now, SHCO does to an extent hold your hand, with the typical gameplay tools and by providing eventual paths To Progress the cases in some direction depending on how many clues you find and deductions you put together in the mind palace. But because most of the cases have areas you can be wrong and progress, or pick from multiple viable options to decide what happened, and just the fact you decide the final outcome for that accused... fascinating. It means the case writing is interesting enough you do guess to yourself who did it, and regularly change your guess based on evidence, and theres no obvious BAM for sure guess (in contrast simpler detective shows like some cdramas i love often have easy to guess perpetrators once you learn the writing pattern). When i saw this game's reviews, people seemed mixed on this particular feature of the game. Since it means theres many points where you feel either theres no True perpetrator and the game changes it, or you feel theres no power to determine the Truth.

But i think... partly thats the point. Verner (lol) wont shut up about his opinion of many things possibly mattering more than the truth, and in true frustrating fashion you are JUST as aggravated as Sherlock is by the difficulty in Absolutely being sure of the Truth. And that frustration, and experience, is hammered home in the very final decision of the game: deciding the answer to the main question you started this journey for. You can pick any of the answers. You'll get its own ending. Sherlock will be certain he deduced the truth. Or at least, as certain as you Or him can be... when any 4 of those scenarios might be the truth as far as you can tell. Sherlock's shaken, and maybe he isn't convinced of the truth being certain any more than you are... but he does DECIDE on an answer to live with. He is unsure whats true, but picks one of many possible truths and gives himself closure with it. A very relatable though painful experience pretty much everyone does in life at some point.

And i think thats a big reason they designed so many cases that way. Its not that the game's whole story is unfirm, or the cases stories are inconsequential. No. Its just that the point is in the meaning you take from a world you can never fully completely be sure of, how you pick what to base your life on when you can only be sure of your own reasoning. But no mattwr how much you wish to control life by understanding it, you can never fully understand it, never fully know everything. Ambiguity is part of life and life is impossible to fully control. The cases are like that so you feel like Sherlock, trying desperately to nail down a firm reliable truth to make sense of a messy stressful uncontrollable world.

So like. From a story perspective? The choice serves the game's themes and point well.

From a detective game perspective? Its very fun if ur trying to feel like a detective, to get some stories where you actually turn over your guesses and contemplate and feel you need to really delve in the clues thoughtfully, if u want to draw the best conclusions u can.

Welcome to the Wuko fandom my friend. I'm glad to hear you think it's cute and excited that you are interested!

I don't want to scare you away. But as you can see I'm a little unhinged about Wuko as a ship lol. I could talk about them all day. And I have. Better people than me have written meta on why Wuko works as a ship, but I'll do my best!

When you say 'unbalanced', I'm guessing you mean that it's pretty clear that Wu loves Mako, but you aren't sure about the other way around.

Since this isn't a canon ship, we have to make some assumptions based on canon. It's EASY to interpret the way Wu acts throughout the show and the comics are signs of romantic feelings. We have to look at Mako a little more closely.

For me, personally, the biggest thing that I believe Mako loves about Wu is his growth as a person. We see it in canon. Mako watches Wu become more selfless throughout the show. He acknowledges it in the finale. He makes comments about it in Ruins of the Empire.

I don't know about you, but I don't know ANYONE in the world who is perfect. But I know plenty of people who think they're perfect or close enough and don't believe they have to change and grow to be better. And I also know certain people who have grown TREMENDOUSLY during the time I've known them and changed for the better.

The people who see where they can grow and improve, then actually do it? The people who can admit when they're wrong and change? The people who can take criticism and acknowledge their faults, then actively work to be better? Those are people worth the risk of loving.

I think Mako loves a lot of things about Wu but he doesn't realize it, much like in season one when he first met Korra, he struggled to recognize when his feelings for her were emerging. But I think when Mako finally realizes there's something there for Wu, he's going to realize all the little things he loves, too. Yes, there's lots of big things to love and admire about Wu: his handling of the evacuation, his decision to give up absolute power to transition the Earth Kingdom into a democracy, then his decision to delay his abdication make a smoother transition of power...

But also consider: Wu genuinely dotes after Mako; wants to make him feel better when he's down; throws compliments around like it's nothing; he accepts Mako exactly as he his, messy history and all; he wins the hearts of Yin and Pabu; and despite his obnoxious comphet ladies man act, he manages to befriend Korra, a person Mako cares about and holds in the highest regard. Wu is fun and outgoing. He does things just because they feel good. He dances and sings. He befriends animals. He CARES.

Mako can definitely fall in love with someone who has all those traits. They got off to a rocky start, but so what? Mako and Korra got off to a rocky start too. He loved her anyways, but they didn't work together because they weren't compatible. Mako and Wu are, in a perfect opposites attract way.

Ironically, you mentioned it feels 'unbalanced' and I wrote a whole post about their personality types and how they balance each other out, here, if you're interested.

I hope I haven't scared you away with my rambling. I have been actively shipping these two for a looooong time. Pretty much since I first saw season four, which would have been around eight or nine years ago! And I've had this blog since 2019, so I've been active in the Wuko fandom for years.

You were having the time of your life, even though you had no clue where your date, Heizou had gone.

Granted, you tried looking for him as soon as you realized, but the crowd had packed you in and forced you to stay there within the seat. You were subjected to just letting someone else take Heizou's seat, since they were struggling to find their own.

Even with the discrepancies of him suddenly disappearing, out of sight out of mind, you felt a sense of pure elation even being at the concert. The stage ablaze with lights and pyrotechnics, dazzling display that reflects the fervor of the arena's compassion, it was making you dizzy.

The experience was electrifying; the music pulsates through the air with a final song. An old classic you knew too well to let go in memory, reverberating through the audience's bodies and igniting especially you with amour and excitement.

You almost didn't want to leave.

The final verses, and a dance break from the team that came out from stage left had the crowd hyped on adrenaline. The last song came to an end quick before the crowd had began to dissipate.

You left out the door to the auditorium halls with an indelible impression on just how fun a Soulja Boy concert could be.

But even as you had so much fun, you were confused on where you date was during the whole concert. Did he really just pay for two tickets to a concert that reached it's crescendo and then ditched you before the actual act can start? What a way to put breadsticks in your purse and run.

Your sense of gratitude and appreciation fizzled out on your tongue, leaving you with slight irritation and faint confusion. The feeling of trepidation creeped in your heart as you walked around aimless; not too sure where Heizou could be, but staying vigilant in your search.

You passed the merchandise, and the food court, and even the little Soulja Boy keychains you desperately wanted to buy because of how ridiculous it looked. You looked nook and cranny for him, desperately hoping to reunite. Because if not...you definitely were going to block him after this.

Despite your best efforts, you remained elusive right up until you saw a crowd at the end of the hallway. You blinked out of your transfixed state, walking towards the noise, only to see your very own date swiftly roundhouse kick someone with a mop in the face.

"Please! Get that psycho away from me!" The cleaner had shouted, their eyes almost blazing with fury, one that echoed even throughout the halls and bared attention from the people exiting the auditorium still.

"Playing innocent again, huh." Heizou squinted, his fingers curled and twisted under his other hand, the joints of them creaking within his control. "That's fine, the police are coming anyway. What are you really cleaning? Huh? The money you got from child exploitation?!"

"What...are you even talking about?!" The cleaner's face raged on, his voice growing stronger with his question.

"Yeah, man. This is a little..." The exhilaration still had some of the concert goers confused, because they had no idea how to even respond to this. "I mean...I personally wouldn't assume he's..."

"Do you even know who he is and what he's done? He is Mr. Satoshi Ueno. Slimy bastard had his hands on Watatsumi Island stocks at one point! He's a pimp under the scene!"

"I'm not! I'm just a cleaner with laundry to do after my shift!" The cleaner cried out.

"Still, even if he's charged for something, it's not ethical to fight with the janitor at a concert."

"You don't think I know that? I was helping Soulja Boy, this is the last thing I want to be doing on my day off. While he was cranking that, I was cranking necks." Heizou whistled. "I think I deserve some gratitude."

You tried processing the gravity of the situation, but your mind was struggling. Heizou...was interrogating the cleaner. Cool.

With a sudden fierce determination in your eyes that was as fiery as your lack of substance from tonight, you drew quickly near to the fight and grabbed his arm. "What are you doing?"

You seethed with anger. How dare he even waste your time? The date was literally over, and you hadn't seen him for the majority of it. Was he even thinking about you at all?

But...as Heizou looked down at you with his emerald eyes that sparkled and shimmered regardless under the dull lights, his lip slowly curling once he realized who it was into a charming and disarmed smile, your anger smoothened. It faltered harder than Soulja Boy's new songs. "Oh! Hey, (Y/N)!"

His voice was pure, honeyed sweetness against your ears. It was like dulcet liquid gold was pouring from his lips.

You became overwhelmed, buffeted on all sides of emotional waves that threatened to engulf you if you didn't get out of this situation with him. "Haha.." Your tense arm relaxed against his hands, intertwining them with his and waving at the audience, a faux smile planted on your lips. "Sorry, guys! He didn't take his meds today...you know how it is! Dementia and all...heh...bye."

Disgruntled that you were forced to bear witness to a merciless scrap while the police enter the room, you looked at your date with a complex stare.

You were almost convinced that he did this to himself out of sadistic pleasure. "What in the actual hell, Shika."

His hand rose up to scratch the back of his head, fingers fumbling nervously through his burgundy strands while he watched the police help the poor cleaner up from afar. "Heh," His eyes darted away, "To be fair, I really did think it was Satoshi Ueno."

The tenderness of your heart clouded your vision. Just enough for the wind to be knocked out of your lungs, but not enough to assess the situation as you cleared your throat. "You missed the Soulja Boy concert to assault some rando."

"Hey, hey! Not assault! Defense!" Heizou lifted his hands up, unwavering in his look towards you. "He had a clear reason why he thought that he was being attacked, and I have a clear reason as to why I think he's a dirty piece of garbage and he should be locked up. It's an equal bargain."

"An equal bargain?" Your eyebrows furrowed. "You did martial arts for five years and had no lead. He was a loser with laundry, what equity was there?"

Heizou couldn't help but give you a goofy grin. "Everyone gets a happy ending. He gets to go home and possibly get 3 days off from injury! And I," He paused to place his arm over you, a sense of warmth emitting against the chill you felt from the outside, "Get to prolong our date."

And even in this situation, with absolutely no concern for him kicking a guy in the face with the most ridiculous rhyme and reason to exist, your heart swelled at his words. "Did the date even start..? I went to a Soulja Boy concert all by myself."

But you couldn't be mad at him, because he got closer to you, leaning closer to meet eye level with you. "How ever can I make it up to you, (Y/N)? Dinner?"

You were struck by the sheer bond you had to his actions, a sense of wonder crashing over you. You practically had hearts in your eyes. "Italian."

Heizou's lips curled into an even wider grin, effervescent with delight as he suffused his triumph with a press to your lips. His touch against you was soft, gentle enough that it pricked at your heart like needles. The palpable love exuded from the two of you, and once he pulled away, you had practically melted.

"Let's go, then. You can tell me what songs Soulja Boy played." Heizou locked his hands with you tighter, as you two walked out of the building.

"Are you sure? You don't even know what the songs are." You smiled.

"Yeeeah. I can't name a single Soulja Boy song."

"Uncultured."

I think that- oh sorry HI 👋 I hope you don't mind the ask haha I didn't feel like rambling in tags- I've also noticed the downtrend in dndads posting, and while it *could* be some mini migration of people to other fandoms, I'm not so sure that that's the case? Not that people aren't getting into new things (I myself have been, for that matter,) but... How to put it. I feel like the show itself, despite approaching the finale, has kind of been at a quiet point where there simply isn't too much to talk about rn? Like I think the noise will pick back up in the fandom when it picks back up in the show if that makes sense?? Also just a busy time of year for a lot of people I think tbh! And since the fandom is so small to begin with (as you know), it's more noticeable when a bunch of people are preoccupied!

That's what I'm feeling anyways! But yeah I've been thinking about it too, and I empathize with the whole "feeling sad when people leave fandoms" thing, so I felt inclined to share my two cents in case it's any consolation haha. Regarding what you said about whether or not the show is "bad"- yeah, I agree! There's some places it really shines and some places that just aren't its forte, but me personally as long as I'm having fun I'm staying put right here! 😤❤️

!! HELLO!!! and yeah you bring up some good points... like there really isnt too much going on in the story character/emotion wise that people can latch on to (in contrast to the more angst ass eps that seem to be a bigger hit among fandom types) PLUS with only one jan ep the pace at which dndads has been releasing is. a bit slow (ep 50 was basically just 49 part 2 too so...)

as for the parts the show is good at vs the parts it isnt. i think it also comes down to the individuals/groups judging it, and the differences in their expectations... like with s2 ep31 the cast was talking about how the ep sucked in the teen talk, but on tumblr the tag had trended with SO much art... there have also been times when i had really enjoyed an episode only to find not much talk about it. so its really different for different people i guess

i try to not feel TOO dejected about stuff i have no control over (especially online stuff) but yknow life has been stressful and ig some of that stress had carried over to my posting. i didn't mean to start discussion about how good the podcast is (i've seen enough of that on reddit LOL) i dont wanna harsh the vibes, esp cuz i know i dont feel very good when i see critical posts about a show i DO enjoy a lot! (i am similarly " having fun")
