Shen Qingqiu is Binghe’s Shizun, Binghe’s husband and sometimes he feel like he is also Binghe’s mother. Because you know how people would go to a child’s mother to say “do you know what your son/daughter did?” and proceed to tell said mother all child’s misdoings?
Yeah, that happens to him lot.
Every time Binghe causes some havoc, the suffered party or any witness (especially if they are a cultivator) seem to feel obliged to come to him with complaints. And Shen Qingqiu has to listen to every "do you know what your Luo Binghe did?".
What do they even think, coming to him with all those comments? (Probably that he is the only person capable of reasoning with Luo Binghe, which is not wrong). But still, why?
So every time Shen Qingqiu would assure them, that of course he will not ignore this matter (sure thing he will) and that Binghe will get what he deserves (care and praise, obviously).
Because why do these people even think, that he, Binghe’s husband, will try to "reason with him" or something? Obviously he is an accomplice.

Having a bigot "mistake you for a trans woman/fem" is fundamentally not the same experience as if you had actually been a transfem (or analogous/adjacent) person in that situation. This should be obvious, but the key difference is in the word 'mistake'.
Your experience with transmisogyny began and ended when someone mistook you for one of us.
Ours began the day we were born into a world convinced that girls like us are monsters to be destroyed.
I'm sorry that people hate us so much that you got caught up in it. It sucks.
(TW: SA) Me, I've stared into the eyes of a man who put his hand down my panties and then said to me "but I thought you were a girl" and if you can please just try to imagine how afraid I was for my life in that moment, and why I was so afraid.
The why is because I know what the world thinks of girls like me.
The why is because transmisogyny has been an ever present force throughout my life.
The why is because every single day of my life I've been told that I'm a monster that needs to he destroyed.
That's what being transmisogyny affected means. It's more than just that run-in you had with your local bigot, it's living in a society that tells you every day, every hour, every minute that you're too loud,
That you take up too much space,
That you're a monster,
You're a predator,
You're disgusting,
You're scum.
Could it be that living in a society that drills that into your head every day fucks up a lot of girl's ability to form relationships and makes those of us who survive long enough feel a bit prickly towards people who only have an ankle-deep understanding of our oppression but think they can define it for us instead of listening to us?
Nah, that's probably our fault too...

An open letter to bigfatbimbo.🪽
Reasons why you should write for Adam.
Tumblr media
1 -> He is a misogynist (not for long)
Tumblr media
Look at his face. He is so weird. I swear. He has been favoritized for far too long, leaving him with the most mind-numbing god complex. Don't you want to stab him to death like niffty? Don't you want to put him where he deserves to be (either underground or under me)? I do. You should too! Because his way of thinking meets it's end where my heels begin.
2 -> He is stupid
Tumblr media
He has the emotional maturity of a boiled lobster. He fits into heaven like an orca in the amazon river. He is so unbelievably incompetent it is actually kind of mind boggling. Don't you want to crush him like he's a little bug (either with your fists or your thighs)? Didn't he literally say one of the "biggest issues evet" was math or something? He probably couldn't tell you where Africa is in the world map even if you paid him. Even the fruit of knowledge couldn't give him enough braincells to function as a proper member of society.
3 -> he deserves humiliation
He deserves to have his entire worldview rocked and destroyed, something we can surely provide. His shallow thinking should be promptly obliterated. He has only ever gotten away from beautiful tall strong women because he always had the option of just asking for a different woman. They didn't have the mental fortitude to put him in his place. We are the bearers of the curse (liking repulsive men), and, since there is no "mental fortitude" to begin with, there is nothing for him to break down. We (as a collective) should end him.
Tumblr media
4 -> I know what he is
Tumblr media
His entire persona is a gigantic act to make up for the fact he cannot appropriatelly cope with losing in general, much less losing the, like, 2 wives he ever had (to THE SAME GUY!! MIND YOU!!!) and if he had more people they were one night stands. Not because he left them, but because people know he is worthless scum and he is good for nothing other than his "original dick" ( eugh. I usually refrain from cursing >:// ). It is the reason for his pride and also the only thing that makes him even remotely worth the hastle of talking to. He is the equivalent of a carnival prize to the people in heaven, scoring him is more of a show of your own endurance rather than how coveted he is. He has been objectified through his own hubris. He should be made aware of that. He should fear the knowledge we posses. It should be used against him.
5 -> he sounds.. like.. . He sounds good.
Tumblr media
I watched the series while skipping most of the songs but I genuinelly could not do it when he was singing. No wonder he's in a band or something, I didn't actually pay attention to what he was saying I was paying more attention to the sound of his voice so I don't remember clearly what's up with that. Like he sounds REALLY good. If only he knew how to just use his voice without saying the most repulsive atrocities to be ever uttered by anyone ever. Oh yeah! We can make him incoherent enough for that to happen.
6 -> Lute deserves better
Tumblr media
Lute deserves, like, a woman. Not him. She's too gorgeous for him, and, the difference between us and her is that while SHE is dealing with HIM, in our case, HE has to deal with US. Really, we're just saving a beautiful, amazing, stunning, showstopping woman a lot of trouble, and getting an ENTIRE PATHETIC MAN AS A TRADE! WIN WIN! Literally no downsides, I swear.
7 -> he is girl dinner
Tumblr media
Don't you just love looking into your fridge and seeing the worthless scraps that built up overtime but somehow taste better now than they usually would have, which is particularly shocking considering it has 0 nutritional value? That would be what girl dinner is, and also an appropriate analogy for what Adam is like! Just roughly ok looking enough for you to not downright call it a biohazard. You will go to bed satisfied after fighting tooth and nail for your dinner (getting him to behave properly) and, it'll be easier the next times maybe! Operant conditioning is a heavy hitter with this repulsive individual, so it might actually get easier! Who knows!
8 -> Pretty please? (´。・д人)゙
Tumblr media
I really. Uh . I really want him if you couldn't tell? Maybe the cannibalism and the fear I want to instill into him got in the way of you seeing my point, but, like, that's just how I love. The highest honor I could bestow on him is wanting to eat him, so, maybe that'll assist in your judgement? I also just really like your writing and would love to hear your thoughts on his idiotic self. AND! AND! Other people also want you to write about him if I well remember the 1 ask you received about him!
Tumblr media
I await your response when you are available @bigfatbimbo
If you need more convincing; I can, like, draw him? I'm going to draw him no matter what but like I can cook something up for you in particular who knows.
You did say you were already considering writing for him, so, maybe this can be a final push in that direction for you!
- sincerely, Bow

Yandere alucard please with a fairy darling?
Tumblr media
wrote this while in college and severely sleep deprived :))
to the anon that requested this…very sorry for the delay ^^
Yandere! Alucard x GN Fairy Darling
As a Dhamphir, Alucard has a very confused and conflicted view of his own humanity; how his parent’s’ marriage shaped his life and beliefs, which is evident in his own personal experience in the story.
He is part human, “part monster” (as he puts it), and constantly uses both of his sides to try and compensate for his perceived weaknesses and strengths in order to create a balance.
This obsession with balancing his own personal interests, with the ones that he deems unsafe or safe to everyone else years him apart, and Alucard just doesn’t see the point in continuing his act of doing ‘the right thing’- he has nobody to do it for other than himself and the times that Sypha and Trevor come for a visit.
They keep him grounded, his dear friends and comrades; they help him remember the good times and deeds he has given to the world, to the people who were so close to losing their lives. They help him remember and remain alive in the memories of his sacrifices and pains that he had to overcome to murder his own father- the only one left from his childhood. A time that was idyllic, but secluded, kept away from the world and the rest of the scum that had stolen his mothers life.
Things are getting better, that’s what he thinks, as he sweeps through the rubble of his childhood home, it’s sloping walls and crumbling tapestries serving as a testament to a life long past that he can move on from. Things are getting much more complicated, as he tries to sort though the rubble and the familial ruin.
Alucard tries to move past his hurt and past betrayals, but they somehow always come back to bite at him some more, gnaw at his memories of his childhood and turn them into something beyond his control, beyond his pained comprehension.
It doesn't help much that much of the memorials of his past betrayals lay outside of the castle walls, staring out into the vast woods that surround him; and this isolation is a huge part of precisely why he becomes so attached to his darling.
However you meet each other, whichever way that you sweep into Alucard's life you just may as well be signing yourself away to the devil himself-a fitting analogy given the context of the story.
Alucard himself doesn’t mean to cause harm, not in any sense of the word. Everything that he says, does and thinks is the complete opposite, but while he may not be obviously setting out to cause you harm as a person…it doesn’t mean he realises his actions aren’t always right. He may even be self-aware of that fact, and be greatly pained and paranoid about how he makes you feel.
He doesn’t like the fact that he feels this urge to lock you up in his miserable, spindly castle, keep you and your fairy goodness all to himself. He knows it’s selfish, he knows it disgusting of him and yet he reasons and battle and negotiates with himself to try and justify his feelings and actions towards you.
You can beg, you can plead, you can sob and cry but whatever you do will not save you from this fate. You belong to Alucard, and he loves you so deeply, so dangerously that it makes the both of you feel sick. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make him feel sick enough for him to let you go. Let’s face it, who else will love you like he does?
He doesn’t exactly know how to love you right, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t adore you enough to know that you need to be kept away from the rest of the world. You need to rest, to stay with him whilst he admires your beautiful face, your spectral wings and their incredible patterns and own beauty that can only be described as otherworldly.
His kisses are always so desperate. Like he has never tasted anything like your fear Love before. Alucard knows that you get a bit nervous sometimes, but that’s just because you’re shy, isn’t it? He knows exactly what that’s like, the gut-twisting and the rampant heartbeats that he feels.
He’s probably one of the better yanderes to have, in all likelihood, but Alucard isn’t without his flaws, not in the least. He’s paranoid, deathly. He almost trembles at the idea of you getting out of your room to eat something, as he is insistent in bringing it to you. Just so he can double check those windows again.
And you sit sadly on the bed, in all of your finery and wondrous glory, trying your hardest not to sob as your blonde captor strokes your head and whispers his love for you until the moon is high in the sky and you can hear the birds coo outside. Your pointed ears twitch in tired anticipation, silently begging for the birds to come back, help you out of this nightmare.
The birds keep cooing and each night they get further away. They do not come back to help. You are stuck here, with him, forever.

Hi! I'm looking for a game in the space opera genre, and I'd love some suggestions. More specifically, I'm trying to find something that's pretty easily customizable or setting-agnostic. Pretty soft as far as sci-fi is concerned, even science fantasy. (And my players have a very brief attention span when it comes to learning rules, so some degree of simplicity would be appreciated, too, haha!)
For context, I have a friend who loves worldbuilding and has fleshed out a whole galaxy, and I want to run a one-shot set in his world for his birthday. In the past, we've tried using a homebrew amalgamation of D&D, SW5e, and miscellaneous other bits, but I want to find a system that fits a bit better.
Thanks for the help! 😁
Theme: Simple Space Operas.
Hello friend, this sounds like such an awesome idea! I think I’ve got a few pretty good options for you to take a look at. Many of these games pull from Star Wars as their idea of what a space opera is like, but not all of them do. Also, don't forget to check the bottom of the post to see what I've recommended in the past!

Laser-Ritter, by Bad Quail Games.
Laser-Ritter is an analog adventure game about swashbuckling heroes journeying among endless stars to embrace their destiny. There are rendezvous in hazy tap rooms, chases across distant moons, and showdowns with the forces of galactic evil. We play to find out how our Laser-Ritters follow their passions and face their pasts to triumph over adversity.
Laser-Ritter gives space for you to create your own saga. There's no burdensome timeline of canon events or overwhelming lists of characters, spaceships, and alien species to be contradicted. Every group begins their saga by creating their own dramatic title crawl to establish what's happening when the adventure begins!
This is a game all about embracing your destiny, with plenty of space to build your own universe. The game can be played episodically, or cover a long-spanning story over a series of sessions. This means that if you just want to run a one-shot, it can be pretty easily self-contained, but there’s also room to expand the game.
Players in this game have 4 stats and a health track labelled Vitality. You also have something called a Pathos track, which represents how attrition and trauma affect your character. If you fill your Pathos track, your character becomes vulnerable to dying. If you want a game with dramatic action and tragic scenes, Laser-Ritter might be for you.
Galaxy Goons and A Goons’ Guide to the Galaxy, by John Erwin.
Galaxy Goons is a space fantasy adventure hack of the Ennies-award winning Tunnel Goons. If you want a light-hearted game about rascals just trying to make their way in the universe, this is worth checking out. Tunnel Goons is known for being pretty light-weight, and Galaxy Goons is true to this legacy. Your characters are rolled randomly, with stats used to add onto dice rolls to try and beat a difficulty level.
A Goon’s Guide to the Galaxy is made for the same kind of setting, but uses a different set of rules, namely the 24XX SRD. This means that instead of just rolling d6’s, your characters will have a few things that they have a d8 or d10 for, and there might even be a few skills that only allow you to roll a d4. 24XX games also tend to carry roll tables to help the GM come up with obstacles and goals, so that might help the GM decide what about this homemade galaxy might be interesting to follow.
Rebel Scum, by 9th Level Games.
REBEL SCUM tells the story of how scrappy, anti-fascist heroes can fight back against a government with unlimited power (including giant lasers and space magic). Inspired by a love for a certain line of 3 and 3/4 inch action figures, this is a fast paced, feel good, space opera of rebellion and adventure.
In this TTRPG, characters are all expressed as action figures, with their pertinent stats and abilities "on the back of the card." Choose your toy and get out into battle!
So Rebel Scum borrows very obviously from Star Wars, but of course the book can’t just put the game in the Star Wars setting, so they create their own. What this means is you can pretty easily throw out that lore and build your own world, although the expectation in this game is that your characters will be working to overthrow some sort of galaxy-wide power. The rules are very simple to learn - in fact the booklet is under 100 pages, and that’s including art, setting, and example characters. If you have a standard set of polyhedral dice (and I’m assuming you do, if you’ve played D&D) then you’ll be able to play this game.
Save the Universe, by Don Bisdorf.
Tyranny and cruelty have spread across the galaxy, and only you can stop it!
Save the Universe is a sci-fi adventure roleplaying game in which the players create their own great galactic menace and then portray the brave heroes battling against it.
I think the biggest pull for this game is that it encourages you to build your own galaxy. The game even comes with a number of questions for you to answer, and if you already have a world decided, you can slot in the answers according to your friend’s world. In fact, assigning world creation to one player is actually a recommended option in the game!
Even though this game is pretty open in terms of the details of your galaxy, there’s still an overarching theme of an Empire or large enemy that your characters will be resisting. Then again, I have a feeling that’s a common theme in space operas.
Plerion: Space Opera Adventure Game, by Zotiquest Games.
Intrepid spacers ply the vastness of the Five Galaxies in search of fortune and glory.
This is Plerion, a sci-fi hack from Cairn designed to play radiant space opera. Inspired by classic science fiction and the RPGs that emulate it, but with a more modern twist, winking at transhumanism and cyberpunk.
Plerion is an adventure game for one referee and at least one other player. Players act as hardened spacers exploring, exploiting and commerce through the vastness of space in the far future.
The author of this game cites Mass Effect, the Traveller roleplaying game and the Wayfarer series by Becky Chambers. Cairn, the game that inspired this one, is a game that makes survival difficult and daunting for the players, and asks them to put the fiction first. This means that combat shouldn’t always be the answer. Instead, players are encouraged to find ways to solve problems using their tools at hand, which is a common trend in many of the games that inspired this rule system.
What’s So Cool About Outer Space, by Jared Sinclair.
WSCAOS is a tiny little system for going to space no matter where you are!
This is an incredibly tiny game, with just two pages to print out and use as a rules reference in any galaxy you like. It’s also the parent of a number of “What’s So Cool About" games that use the same philosophy - minimal rules, and plenty of agency left up to the group in terms of what possible backstories you might have, as well as what might be considered an advantage and what might not.
No-one Owns The Sky, by Free Radicals Press.
A band of misfits lives aboard a rundown starship, traveling from one frontier world to the next, hoping to make a name and a living for themselves. Along the way, things always seem to go sideways, but the crew holds on, no matter what.
NO ONE OWNS THE SKY is a sci-fi roleplaying game that is rules-light and relies on players to craft and flesh out the universe of the setting as a collective. This game was designed for two or more players. One player is always the referee (REF), a neutral arbiter and guiding force for the game. The others act and play as player characters (PCs). These players, with their REF and their PCs, will tell amazing, collective (and interactive) stories with the help of imagination, dice, roleplaying, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
This game uses a staggered success layout, which means that you could roll a failure, a success, or a mixed success during any given roll. Anything above a 5 is a success! It looks like the game uses more than just d6’s though, so the larger dice you roll, the higher your chances of succeeding. The setting is also up to the players, pretty good for folks who want to build their own galaxy.

the crossover nobody asked for but where both properties share surprising similarities ✨️
after all, in pikmin you use xeno scum to acquire foreign artifacts with disregard/hostility to local flora and fauna populations. which either make the hocotatians and koppaites the adeptus mechanicus or, like, trazyn but he got lost, in this analogy. very well thought out I swear!! but the possibilities are tempting!
putting red pikmin as a salamander (not blood angel) and yellow as an iron warrior (not just lamenter because yellow) required big think and now I am stuck. white scars white pikmin, but thematically they'd be death guard bc poison? imperial fists rock pikmin? purple pikmin...... world eaters..... emperor's children....? bulbmin as horus? this is hard, please help

Hi! i was wondering if you could recommend any rad feminism text read that’s veeery accessible because i’m not used to reading nonfiction and what i’ve tried to read always confused me a bit! thank you in advance!
Absolutely!
If you're brand new to feminism, We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a pretty good place to start. Adapted from her TED Talk of the same title, this personal essay explores sexual politics through her lens as a Nigerian woman. It's less than twenty pages total. Here's a link to the PDF version.
I've personally really enjoyed The Essential Feminist Reader by Estelle B. Freedman. It's an anthology that presents the full scope of feminist history. I have it as a paperback because I like to notate as I read, but I found a PDF of it, too! It's about 250 pages and features source material from all around the globe, including short works of fiction and drama, political works, and the work of less well-known writers.
The SCUM Manifesto by Valerie Solanas is short and satirical (though how satirical it is, is really up to you to decide). In it, Solanas states that men have ruined the world, and the only way to save it is for women to overthrow society and eliminate the male sex. If you're not quite sure if it's your cup of tea, here's a teaser: SCUM stands for "Society for Cutting Up Men." Here's a link to the PDF version.
Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez illuminates how many "small" differences lead to major lifetime consequences for women in a world built for men. You can download a PDF here.
I don't think any radical feminist reading list is complete without Andrea Dworkin. I wouldn’t say her work is particularly challenging but it can be heavy/intense. That said, here's a link to her complete works. If I had to pick three to read, I'd suggest Pornography, Right-Wing Women, and Woman Hating.
I also think Liberalism and the Death of Feminism by Catharine A. MacKinnon is a worthwhile read, albeit not exactly a beginner text. Sorry, I just couldn't resist including it. You can download a PDF of it here if you're feeling adventurous.
I hope this helps you dip your toes in the radical feminist reading pool, and I encourage others to chime in with any other recommendations! I wouldn't say that these texts are all necessarily radical feminist texts, but I personally don't like to limit myself to one discipline of thinking. Even if you don't agree with everything these women have to say, I think it's important to engage with different viewpoints and decide for yourself what you agree with and don't agree with. I'm a radical feminist, but I still engage with liberal feminist texts, intersectional feminist texts, etc. Nevertheless, I hope you're able to find some suggestions here that interest you. I think Dworkin is definitely the radical feminist bible (forgive the analogy, radfem joke), so maybe even just looking up Dworkin quotes would be a good start if you're not ready to dive headfirst into one of her texts. They are heavy, I won't lie, but extremely worthwhile. Have you highlighters at the ready is all I'll say. Best of luck to you, sister, and welcome!

"Lou Binghe startled, then dashed over happily, like a chick who'd seen its mother hen.
(What kind of shitty analogy was that?!)"
-Scum Villain Self-Saving System Ch. 3 page 151
I love that Shen Yaun pauses the story to critique his own descriptions! XD It's so in character for him.
It's not only funny but really helps sell that this is Shen Yaun telling and narrating the story and not MXTX the actual author.

Inegine this: The day Crowley meets XD the raven man can feel the god's divine aura and senses the murderous intent hidden behind the sweet smile and sugar coated words. XD: Oh hello puny mortal being! I hear what you've been up to with my favorite godchild, well I don't have any godchildren other than Yue… After all, they're my only one chaos angel! Crowley: Wait… So they weren't lying when they said they had a god as godfather? *knowing he fucked up XD: Are you implying that my godchild is a liar? *growls with venom in his voice* Crowley: No! obviously not your divine excellence! *scared as hell and shittying his pants* XD: I hope so and I just don't kill you because I still need to have a "talk" with you, but now let's get down to business. Casually XD summoned a golden throne encrusted with netherite, emeralds and diamonds that was the size of NRC's castle and the god sat down. XD: What I want to know is how are you going to compensate for all the psychological damage you caused and should I mention that with my GOD powers I can easily gather evidence and sue you? I've studied the laws of this world and if we take this case to court I know very well that I'll win the case with a huge settlement and it will be a huge scandal and I don't care about the reputation of this dump you call a "prestige academy ". Crowley: Your Excellency, I swear I'm just diligently doing my job as headmage and giving them a place to live, but since I'm gracious I'm teaching the value of work because I couldn't let freeloaders live as they wanted. Oh man, he fucked up and did it the worst way possible… Being a hypocrite. XD: Shut up…! *threatening tone spills over with venom* Do you have the audacity to say those words while acting like a good Samaritan? Philza, do you mind mentioning some of the evil deeds these scum have committed? Philza: It's a pleasure. *hides anger behind a smile* Philza picks up a parchment where all the "sinful acts" committed by Crowley were listed and by the time Philza unrolls the parchment it appears to be longer than expected. Philza: We should start with the living conditions you gave Yue can be considered work analogous to slavery because what you pay them is a pittance… Not to mention that you are stingy not to pay a decent allowance more than you should be it the amount you pay for their service to be able to have those luxury trips or eat in expensive restaurants or the fact that you accept BRIBES to favor some students over others? Doesn't that sound a bit corrupt of you? Crowley: Well, I… XD: I also didn't forget that they were exposed so many times to dangerous situations in relation to this Overblot… How many times did that happen? Dream: Too much to be acceptable since this is a shitty "prestige school". *sarcastic* DSMP Gang: *everyone nods trying to not go after Crow'ley's head* Techno: Don't even try to say that they are formidable fighters and can take care of themselves, that we know very well but they also have their limits and you crossed all those limits. If it weren't for them I would have destroyed this school brick by brick because I'm a fucking anarchist and I can't stand corrupt political or hierarchical systems. *ready to strangle the raven man to d34th* XD: So, are we going to discuss how we will resolve this matter? Right? *psycho smile*
the paper just rolls and imagine it just- never ends dnjksnclksa
either way, crowley's 100% ded :^

do you think we'll all be okay in the end
Yes. Somehow, through all this bullshit, yes, I do.
There are more of us than there are of them, and the gov't is not gonna put up with much more from the magats. You might notice that the sentences they're being given are all becoming more severe, both longer and more significant fines/penalties. It's been gradual, there are still hundreds of scum left unidentified. There will be "A Reckoning" of some kind, of that I'm certain. And even if there is more turmoil/violence/bullshit between now and whenever this mythic "then" will be, there will be A Reckoning. I don't think the decent people will allow this to go on much longer without one.
I used to just post about cool shit, old Pink Floyd videos, whatever I wanted, and then this became a real War for the consciousness of the people. That's when I took this stance. And I'll stand and get battered if I have to, but I'd rather us old fucks be able to pass on what we know about how to be alive in this fucked-up bad '80s scifi flick we find ourselves living in.
Dammit, I always hit send too early.
The point being we are really on War Footing in the battle, and if there was one thing my late bro the soldier taught me, it's that you do your duty. You do your part. I know it may not be much to some people, but goddammit, I'm here "for the duration", as they say. Until this is over, I will do what I can to post what hits my eye from here in the digital trenches, I may piss people off with that analogy, seein' as it seems like the whole goddamn world is up in flames at the moment.
I wanna get back to posting music stuff, dammit. I don't enjoy reading this shit much of the time. But it's my duty to pass the info on. OK. I can hit send now.

Leverage Redemption Log: The Double-edged sword job
Presumed Client has a Presumed Stalker (Cop) Parker is playing with little dolls. Oh is this a Time-Skip client? Like an ex-client from the inbetween years? Cool pitch, im hooked. --- Well that line about the Israeli government shutting down the peoples access to the internet aged like a fine (though disgusting) wine.
Gut instinct: Harry is right. Its a cop thing, specifically the same way that Security Lady from episode one can recognise Elliot when Hardison's program is protecting you guys as well. Cops are scum, (i know that naratively, breanna is gonna be proven right. But the team is right to assume its an analog thing)
Oh the small town is a surveilance state.
Look Sophie, i understand that petty theft is beneath you all, but breanna is right to start the test small scale.
--- So this is our "newbie goes in solo" episode. Elliot is flirting with Supercop. (dont know wether "distinctive" is meant to be an admission she knows who he is, or just an attempt to draw parallels between the two) this show expects me to believe that the high-tech supercomputer doesnt have a firewall.
Oh its Minority Report bullshit. (Funny thing about minority report, didnt that end up with it predicting its creator/championing congressman would commit murder? Cause thats what we're gonna do. Make it predict that our Supercop will embezzle the black-ops money)
And they're trying to gass-chamber Breanna. --- Ok so quickly: Harry having to do an Elliot is cool, funny little gag about how Parker stopped stabbing people. (its good cause this one retroactively fixes a lot of the other "parker used to stab people" jokes by explaining the taser as the reason it only happened once.) --- Debriefing: Breanna might've been in trouble for more then just Twitter. Parker and Elliot have both done this for 8 years more then the rest, and the rest dont even bother asking what they're thinking. (like i understand not interupting them, but there is a reason we're having a debrief) --- Supercop is alledgely not part of the experiment. (she claims she's just investigating the miracle crime-drop).
Elliot gives them all 10 seconds to joke. Back to the debrief. "Just to be clear..." "metaphorically" everyone disliked that. (as do I, if this guy wants to be the only person alive who isnt recognisable to a supercomputer? See if his face ID works on cremated ashes) --- Parker I agree this guy is an asshole to the waitstaff, but if a customer orders something without coconut oil, it is the restaurants responsibility to either accomodate this request or tell the customer they cant make it that way. I know he's just a pretentious twit but allergies exist. (he's definitly an asshole for assuming he's enough of a regular to have "his regular" though)
Oh, RIZ is back. (Supercop works for them) Well looks like Cheng has a robo-nanny (and maybe a crush on robonanny) --- What a stack of hundreds and an awkward story about a roleplaying kink cant let these guys do. --- Ok and we're inside the house. The robot is scanning Parker The AI is scary AF, Parker is looking for a way out. AI is all-seeing, but apparently worse with faces then Searchlight. (Searchlight can recognise you of an out-of-focus nose. Al-Ayna cant recognise him if he lowers his voice) which can only mean one thing:
CHEMICAL WARFARE! Oh how i missed you, we've been waiting for your return all season. --- Private security provides Elliot with a good chance to teach Harry how a choke-out is done with proper form.
Cheng has recognised Breanna and has decided to make the stupid mistake of locking Leverage inside the safe they're trying to crack. By which i mean your house, that has your software, the one they're gonna use to make you look like a criminal.
and now our heroes have a superAI who is going to help them with their witness protection schemes. (Lower Hardisons workload a little as well.) Like how the camera zooms out to end the shot from Alayna's POV. (is she gonna be a recurring character? Probably not in a "regular castmember" way but definitly in a "we have continuity and on rare occasions she might be important" way)

Starter for @tczier: Richie moving to Hawkins.
He knew that Richie had consistently talked about growing up himself in a small town in Maine, and a small town that certainly had its own share of terrors, but he couldn't help the nagging feeling that was eating away at his chest as he knew Richie was coming in that day. Hawkins, Indiana was basically like the chewed up gum on the bottom of a shoe. Only if that shoe had also been through fifteen mud holes, maybe some fields full of cow shit, and....okay, his brain couldn't take that analogy much further.
Basically, Hawkins sucked. And the guilt he felt in taking his boyfriend, who lived in big cities like Los Angeles or Chicago, out to this scum of the Earth town? It was eating at him; even though he knew damn well that not only had Richie Tozier made the choice himself, but that it had been his idea. He knew it was only temporary. Only until all the crazy shit happening in their town was eliminated, and he knew the kids were safe. That had been the agreement.
Either way, changes had to be made. Steve had had to scramble. Up until this point, he was living rent-free in his parent's house. He was working his minimum wage job at Family Video (that hadn't changed, but still) and was watching over the Harrington house whenever his parents were on business trips or vacations, which felt like it was every single week of every single month. But knowing his luck, his parents would come home and wonder who the forty year old man was living in their house, also rent-free, with their only son.
Tumblr media
So he had scrapped together to get a small apartment. It was a step above the trailer homes in Forest Hills, but it wasn't anything to call home about. The bedroom was also the living room, the kitchen seemed to total five square feet, and he just felt blessed that he had a bathroom big enough for all his hair care and hygiene products. It was going to be a tight fit for two grown men, but it was better than the alternative.
His leg was bouncing a mile a minute, no stranger to anxiety, though never having been able to put a word on it as someone who didn't really dabble in the realm of mental health. He had fixed his hair up a total of three point five times, making sure it looked its best. Sprayed probably far too much cologne on, and was wearing one of his older polos from high school as he waited on the steps of the apartment building for Richie's arrival.

Instead of an object level post about whether or not the Current Thing is Snarl Word or not, I will once again remind people about the "Baptists and Bootleggers" social pattern.
"Baptists" (in the original metaphor, a puritanical sect of Christian) rant loudly about how they want alcohol suppressed and prohibited, for unhinged moralizing reasons.
"Bootleggers" (criminal smugglers and producers of alcohol) would also like to see alcohol suppression, for economic reasons: it closes the beer shops that would otherwise be competition.
Baptists and Bootleggers will say they're opposed to each other, but in practice the effect of both is to bolster each other. Baptists increase the market share of Bootleggers, while Bootleggers give Baptists some "criminal scum" to associate with alcohol, and so on. Their operations complement one another.
This is not a horseshoe theory, this is more like an alliance against the middle. The Baptist wants to exert control over the normie beer drinker. The Bootlegger wants to extract money from the normie beer drinker. They both get better results by cooperating. It is not an explicit agreement they spoke about, but it is how their behaviors interact.
People keep reblogging contemporary "Baptists" onto my dashboard regarding Wizard Game, trying to argue with them. Good for you, maybe you'll convince some neutral on-lookers, but keep in mind the Baptists aren't in this for the argument. They are in this to exert power, and will cooperate with Bootleggers in the process. Consider also noting the fact that the Baptists are cooperating with and empowering the very Bootleggers they claim to denounce.
If you are reading this and you don't like the implication that you are cooperating with the Bootleggers of this analogy, stop being a Baptist.
