~ First find the sign your 10th house is in by pulling up your birth chart

As you can see their 10th House is in Scorpio [I circled it + pointed to the line that indicates what sign it's in]. If you don't feel like pulling up your birth chart right now, you can just think of the 9th sign after your rising sign. For example, a Sagittarius rising has their 10th house in Virgo [the ninth sign after Sagittarius], while an Aries rising has their 10th house in Capricorn.

~ Next, look at the ruler of that sign. This is the ruler of your second house. I've written them down below

Aries: Mars

Taurus: Venus

Gemini: Mercury

Cancer: Moon

Leo: Sun

Virgo: Mercury

Libra: Venus

Scorpio: Mars and Pluto

1st House:

Try to avoid the tendency to become egocentric as again, your personality and view on life WILL affect your status, career and legacy. You may do best when self-employed. You tend to dress in accordance with your career; essentially, your career immensely affects your life, your career goals even affect your approach to life. You have an inert desire for recognition and respect and care about how you present yourself to the world. Overall, any career would suit you, but keep in mind that your career will affect you as a whole [more than most people], and your appearance/physicality may have something to do with your career.

2nd House:

Your professional success will be reflected in your income. Most likely you will make money through any profession/the profession you choose. Your resources and values play an important role in your future success. You may have a career involving finances. You require a career that fits your values and that provides you with financial security. Your self-esteem increases when you gain authority [gaining authority also tend to increase your net worth]. Your attitude/relationships with authority figures impacts your money-making ability. Your legacy will most likely be related to how much money you've made in this lifetime.

3rd House:

Your career is related to some form of self-expression. You feel a need to communicate and to express your own ideas through the profession you choose. Your professional success is dependent on your ability to form significant relationships. You are an authority on marriage, and business partnerships. You bring a professional approach to marriage. You treat your marriage like a career. You lay down the rules in marriage. You bring your outer expectations of success to your marriage. You want your marriage or partnership to live up to society’s standards. People with this placement do not take marriage lightly subconsciously because they know how much marriage can help their life and its value, but they also know how much it can hurt their life as well. they tend to be very picky with marriage partners, but they usually choose the right one [of course unless there's other aspects or placements interfering [for example, Lilith/Chiron/mars/Saturn/Pluto in the 7th house]. When I think of this placement, I think of the people who make the sets in a movie or show. This position favors professions that require power behind the throne; that is to say that you make suggestions or decisions without conferring with the public. Activities linked to secret information, medicine or investigations would be very favorable. You may work in a hospital or prison, or charity. Finding your true vocation helps you release grief and sorrow. Gaining recognition/becoming famous is the self-undoing but may help you release your grief and sorrow. Chart Ruler in the Houses:

Your chart ruler is the planet associated with your rising sign. e.g. Libra rising means your chart ruler is Venus, Sagittarius Rising means your chart ruler is Jupiter. The chart ruler can be similar to the rising in that it represents an aspect of your self-expression. It can also act like a guide or marker to areas of life that greatly impact you and motivate you. See below the chart ruler in each house:

~1st House~

Individuality is not only important to you and your life, but questions surrounding individuality, developing it - these are a big part of your life lessons, struggles, wins, and fulfillments. How you develop as a person, your self-expression, independence, and how you stand out acts as motivation. Early life may have been unique, intense, or hazy depending on the planet, but frequently revisiting it or taking inspiration from it is common for this placement. Having your chart ruler in the 1st House may indicate someone who has high expectations for themselves and their life or even "destiny". It is common for these individuals to be on either side of the scale with pessimism vs. optimism in their approach and view of their own life. A fear of being rejected, ignored, and possibly used or controlled may exist here. People here may feel like their stability, safety, and maybe sanity are frequently questioned or being threatened. I wouldn't be surprised if those with their chart ruler in this house find that they seek a parent type of relationship with others frequently OR has to parent themselves or others somehow. There may be a great drive to carry on a family's legacy or to start a new found family with this placement. Questions and insecurities may frequently revolve around one's place in their family, starting a family, or leaving one. This person may be good at hiding intentions, may be highly private or guarded, receptive, perceptive, and sensitive. Where they feel most at home can be determined by planet and sign but the chart ruler in the 4th indicates that there is a huge need to always "return" home or feel at home in the self, with others, and in a place. This house has a positive reputation but the chart ruler here depending on sign, planet, aspect may indicate a struggle to enjoy life or express one's creativity. On paper this house can sound dull but similarly to the 2nd House the relationship of the tangible to the intangible can make interpretations or manifestations of this house sometimes hard to recognize. Work and health are two very common motivators for this placement. Other common motivators may be a desire to be useful, to heal others, to fix something, or possibly to be part of a team or cause. Depending on the influences involved a chart ruler in this house may spell out a person who craves recognition or reward for their status, good deeds, or accomplishments. There is nothing inherently wrong with this but it may cause a lack of fulfillment for the individuals. The chart ruler in the 6th House may work themselves to death or be distracted from people or things that truly feed their soul and help their mental health because they can get distracted with "the right way" to do things, with daily tasks they need to check off, or a sense of heavy duty. Hello, my loves! I hope everyone is doing amazing! I’m sorry about not posting recently, but I’ve been on vacation for summer holidays.This post is the third installment in the effects of house rulers in different houses series, focusing on the 3rd house.

The 3rd house ruler is the planet which rules the sign on the third house, and in which house this planet lies in your natal chart determines what effects the 3rd house ruler will have on a person. Traditionally, the 3rd house ruler is an indicator of one’s communication, personal intellect, and community.

DISCLAIMER: Before we start, I just to acknowledge that I’m NOT a professional astrologist, however, I have been personally studying astrology for the past 7 years so I am knowledgeable about the subject.So please only take whatever interpretations resonate with you and leave the rest.

This placement allows a person to gain in life through personal efforts. Individuals are hard-working and try to become self-dependent from a young age. Indicator of a personal establishment, such as a business.

This placement is also considered good for their siblings. They could be famous and you could experience fortunes through your siblings.

As the 3rd house also indicates short-distance travels, these individuals could often travel in close proximities to their home.

Gives a person bravery and courage, but if ill-placed, could indicate a revenge-seeking nature.

They’re also quite protective of their mother, once again due to this Cancer energy.

FIFTH HOUSE:

This placement is also auspicious since the connection between the 3rd and 5th houses are well-balanced and both themes will be harmonious in the individual’s life.

Pisces/Neptune rules marketing while Gemini/Mercury is more about sales. They’re both deeply related but difference is Gemini is the salesman that appeals to your reason and resorts to mind games (Mercury) in a one-on-one to convince you why you should buy into something. Marketing on the other hand is ruled by Pisces because it appeals to the collective unconscious (Neptune). It’s all about crafting subliminal messages that make you see that product/idea as more appealing even when you know what you're seeing is not realistic. Very related to propaganda as well. This is also a field that requires a lot of creativity, they're constantly using metaphors, hyperboles or even making up little fictional stories to sell a product...

Where Sagittarius is in your chart will bring luck and happiness, but Taurus does give off expansive (or dare I say expensive) energy too. Where Taurus sits in your chart is an area of your life that will be more grandiose in nature cause Taurus rules over indulgence and pleasure. You could experience some sort of privilege when it comes to this house, the themes of this house come to you in abundance with little to no effort. Some examples:

Taurus 1st house: have a striking and bold appearance, gives off luxury and attractive vibes regardless of their looks. These people could come across as a "high value woman/man" without trying

Taurus 7th house: very active and abundant love life, lots of suitors and business partners landing on your lab, they want to provide for you and/or give you lucrative opportunities

Taurus 9th house: having access to high quality education or elevated knowledge. Probably attended a very exclusive or expensive collage, payed vacations vibes, easy and frequent relocations

Taurus 10th house: almost untouchable reputation, very respected and liked by others, is always seen as innocent or harmless, lots of success with their ventures

The 2nd house also talks about your roots and upbringing but in a more objective and material sense. This house and the position of its ruler can be very telling of how your actual social and economic context shaped your basic values. It can also talk about your house as the 2nd house rules over real state, lands, properties, etc. The 4th house is more about your home, how you were raised within that reality and how it impacted you emotionally at your core

Example: Libra risings could come from an environment that shaped their values around survival and money gains due to Scorpio 2nd house (I've seen very commonly they come from marginalized groups or humble beginnings or very financially competitive environments). So they have a family that is very demanding and expected them to work or be a boss from a young age (Capricorn 4th house)

Speaking of, 2nd house does not ONLY rule money!!! It rules RESOURCES and anything that you own that is highly valuable and you can put a price on!!!! And yes of course since these things are valuable they can be easily monetized, traded, used to make you money. This can be your skills, assets, real state, etc. The 2nd house is your piggy bank basically

There's a lot of talk about how 11th house is how you make money in your career while 2nd house is how you spend it. Well this is technically true but I'd like to add more explanation to this. In derivative astrology 11th house is 2nd (money) from the 10th (career) so it does show how you actually make money from your career. 2nd house is where you get money but 11th house is how you make money. Your 11th house is the multiplier (credits to @cosmicpuzzle for that fact) while 2nd house is where your financial stability lies on. In other words 11th house is indicative of how you generate more but 2nd house is all about what you already have, its about what you can make with what you OWN already, it deals with money that is already available through your resources' value (again, you piggy bank). This does 'make' you money in a way like if you lose your job and are lacking money your 2nd house where you turn to for example if you own a house you can rent it, you can buy a rare item that costs a lot, selling your art or any other natural skill, etc. The concept of value is important in this house bc it can increase or decrease (while 11th house increases and multiplies). The more valuable your resources are the more potential money you have available which means more financial stability and wealth. Anyways hope all that makes sense

We often refer to water signs when talking spirituality but truth is fire signs are very spiritual in nature as well. Fire symbolizes the spark of life itself, nothing could exist or be created without it. Aries deals with the basic ontological conception of 'I am, I exist', Leo is about how the self manifests and create itself and Sagittarius is about the purpose of the self. Living beings need heat to thrive/live and just like fire radiates heat your spirit radiates energy, creativity, passion, action, inspiration, purpose... and that's what fire signs represent. I'd say fire represents the fundamentality of spirit while water is more about the complexity of inner world.

Just like Aries is the "natural" ASC for a birth chart, Libra is the natural ASC for a composite chart cause a birth chart represents the chart of an individual (Aries) while composite represents the mutual relationship between two people (Libra)

When you develop the themes of a certain house in a healthy manner, you naturally start attracting the themes of the opposite house. This goes to show you that things in astrology aren't as compartmentalized as they seem, everything works together in certain way SPECIALLY axis'. Examples:

You need to focus on yourself first (1st house) to find the right partner (7th house)

You need to investigate and learn (3rd house) in order to find higher answers (9th house)

When you invest successfully (8th house) you earn more available resources (2nd house).

When you develop your hobbies and individuality (5th house) you find keen people (11th house)

When you heal spiritually (12th house) you find healthier habits (6th house)

There's this misconception that you have to disregard your South Node in order to develop you NN, but the thing is the SN is the starting point that can lead you towards developing your NN. This can happen as a harsh and painful lesson tho if you liger too much on your SN. For example NN in Libra need to learn to compromise in this life, there's a lot of focus on the self and independence, but eventually this placement teaches them that if you really wanna develop yourself in full potential (Aries) eventually you'll need others (Libra). If they linger too much on Aries SN they could experience a harsh lesson that forces them to count on others

Where You May Meet Your Spouse

This is the method I have seen most reliable in the chart’s of people I know in real life. The method is to locate where your 5th house ruler is in the natal.

The logic behind this method is that 5th house is associated with romance&dating. Locating its ruler in the natal can indicate where initial sparks appear. This can show us the place of meeting or themes of first dates.

7th house is mainly known as the relationship house but these are your long term connections with friends, lovers & business partners+clients.

However, I do see the house placement of natal venus (for wife) & jupiter (for husband) being accurate in vedic. All the different methods can get confusing so take this as entertainment. Don’t shut down potential partners because they don’t fit what the tarot or astro posts told you. Don’t stress over any of this at all. No one can be 100% sure of anything.

Also, I have made this post before on my now deleted blog. Just in case any of this sounds familiar. But I did not create this method. It has existed long before me.

5th H Ruler in 1st H:

ex1. My irl friend has an aries 5th house. Her natal mars is in her first house conjunct venus (her 11th house ruler).

She met her boyfriend through instagram.

11th H is associated with network and 1st H is associated with our self & body. Instagram is a prefect manifestation of these two houses coming together.

ex2. My other friend has 5th H sag. Her natal jupiter is in 1st H too. 1st H is associated with our body and appearance, she met her boyfriend at a hair salon.

5th H Ruler in 2nd H:

Unfortunately, I don’t have an irl example for this. However, possible examples are somewhere related to your resources. So maybe you’re at work, maybe you’re running an errand like grocery shopping.

Signs, planets in either 5th or 2nd may provide further insight.

5th H Ruler in 3rd H:

Again I don’t have irl examples for this. However, possible examples are meeting at community events, through friends/siblings/cousins. Places where you are mentally engaged with what’s going on as 3rd is our social interests. Ex: Library, transportation, mutuals on a social app.

5th H Ruler in 4th H

Generic manifestation of this placement would be meeting through the family or in the hometown.

My irl has an aqua 5th house. Her natal saturn (the traditional ruler of aqua) is in her 4th H. She met her boyfriend at a small party and went home with him that same night. Aqua is non conventional and associated with groups. Ofc this is very specific, I know not everyone with this placement is down for a hook up. This goes to show signs, planets in either houses + aspects are all very important.

5th H ruler in 5th H:

My friend has a pisces 5th house. Her natal jupiter (the traditional ruler of pisces) is in the 5th house. She has met many boyfriends through acting. 5th is associated with acting/entertainment and recreational activities/hobbies.

Other possible manifestations of this placement are meeting where children are involved. Or where self expression is important.

5th H Ruler in 6th H:

My mom’s friend has a taurus 5th house. Her natal venus is in gemini 6th house. She met her boyfriend at a company/work party. 6th house as association with daily routine/health, coworkers, pets, acts of service and obligated duties. She did say she felt like she had to be there due to her job and did not enjoy herself until she started chatting with him.

Other possible manifestations of this placement could be meeting at the gym, on a hike, doing something for your pet.

5th H Ruler in 7th H:

This doesn’t mean you’ll meet your partner while one of you is in a relationship. Possible manifestations of this placement are meeting through friends or business. Friend or work partners to lovers. Meeting while working in a group setting - group project.

5th H Ruler in 8th H:

My coworker has an aries 5th house. Her natal mars is in her 8th house conjunct her 10th house ruler. She is dating another coworker. And told me her ex was a coworker from a previous job!

This is ofc very specific so other possible manifestations of 5th ruler in 8th are…

8th is the death/rebirth house. So possibly when you meet one or the other is ending something/starting something new.

The place of meeting may be a secret due to being a somewhere taboo. or something a bit controversial like money, sex, literal death, slightly sus power dynamic is involved.

5th H Ruler in 9th H:

My aunt has a pisces 5th house. Her jupiter is in her 9th H. She met her spouse at vet school. 9th is associated with higher education.

Other possible examples of this placement could be… meeting where religion, higher beliefs are important. meeting where travel or foreign culture is the focus.

5th H Ruler in 10th H

Most obvious manifestation of this placement would be meeting in the workplace. Place of meeting could be where reputation/status or image is a focus. 10th house is a masculine house. You could meet where the masculine has authority over the feminine. Not in a weird way, like example: you’re both customers, they see you confused in the lamp aisle and they’re an expert in lamps that can come over to help.

5th H Ruler in 11th H

My mom’s friend’s boyfriend has a taurus 5th house. Natal venus in 11th conjunct MC. He is the one who met her at a work party. 11th is networking and mc is career, put them together and work party is the most literal example possible.

Other possible examples for 5th ruler in 11th could be.. meeting through friends or social media or a place where humanitarism/social awareness is important.

5th H Ruler in 12th H

12th is associated with what’s hidden, subconscious, endings, isolation and that can make it a tricky house. Luckily, I have a irl example. Uncle has a Capricorn 5th house. His natal saturn is in his 12th house. His wife was his long time, long distance friend. In a way, the romance was “hidden” for a long time. Saturn is an energy that brings delays too so the fact they were friends for years before seeing each other in a romantic light is very saturn. Their marriage is the best and longest lasting relationship of I know.

Other manifestations for 5th ruler in 12th could be…

meeting abroad, somewhere one is a bit isolated. for example, meeting while on a stroll alone. meeting later in life. meeting when healing is taking place - this sounds deep but could simply be meeting when having steeped out for a smoke break.
