I love Chris and Kennith so much so. yeah I gave them and their fusion much info and headcanons. hope you enjoy it

let's get started

✨Shuffle✨ is the fusion of Christopher and Kennith

He loves TV shows, design, music, gothic architecture, and smashing mirrors and faces of his bullies with a metal bat.

He has a pink metal bat, a microphone and a megaphone (I thought that would be a good mix of Chris and Kenny's stuff).

Shuff is quite a joyful and cheerful fusion. Easy-going, big hearted and broad minded, but tricky if he has any intention. Usually he doesn't carry violence first— only as a defense. During self-defense, he becomes ruthless since he doesn't feel sorry for the aggressors— he will attack and move on as if nothing happened.

Shuffle is rather less (passive-)aggressive and less impulsive than Christopher but he is much more brave and sharper than Kennith.

From Christopher, the fusion has a pronounced theatricality and mannerism— it won't be difficult for him to make the right impression and play out the right emotion. The only difference is that Shuff is actually able to feel emotions unlike Chris. The latter has a long way to develop and express his emotions.

From Kennith, Shuff has a vision of the world as an opportunity to turn any of his ideas into reality. Shuff is not shy at all about experimenting with many things— the eccentricity comes entirely from Kennith.

Kennith himself is a simple boy, he is very sincere. Thus the fusion is very communicative, talkative and has zero hesitation. Similarly with Christopher— this goes well with independence from the opinions of others and the ability to protect himself.

The main difference between Shuff and both of them is that he has a basic trust in the world, although that sounds like a paradox.

Shuffle doesn't mind doing anything active and social. However, Shuff will never do what might be annoying for one of his halves. Kennith dislikes to be watched by a crowd, and Christopher can't stand to be idle, either. Therefore, we find a compromise and something in between.

Shuffle is independent from his creators, he has his own will, his own personality and own hobbies. He is not just an appendage of Chris and Kennith. Although Shuff is very impressionable and sometimes not the most stable, especially in the case of a mental breakdown of one of his halves (often Kennith).

~Headcanons~

▷ Christopher is 190 cm (6'3") tall. Kennith is 165 cm (5'5") tall. Shuffle is 267 cm (8.76), very tall fusion

▷ Christopher plays in the theater. Kennith is passionate about technology and works in a modest electronics store (he graduated from high school and gave himself a couple of years to save money for college). Shuffle has skills in both of these areas but he isn't such a fan of electronics. He prefers social and active work

▷ Christopher is still able to transform into his shadow (distortionist) form or simply summon dark arms from his back. Shuffle can do that too :))) and this is the best feeling for Kennith in the fusion, and outside of it too, hugging and cuddling with six arms is great

▷ Crispy's sharp tongue and his perception greatly affects Kennith both in the relationship and inside of the fusion. Learning self-defense and reflecting back on himself, so to say

▷ His pronouns— Shuffle uses both 'I/me' and 'we/us' depending on his mood

▷ Shuffle has scars on his body. On his hips and arms most of all, the wrists, forearms and elbows are covered with striped scars. But Shuff doesn't have burn scars— he is afraid of fires

▷ Shuff looks at his scars with severe sadness. The scars are a reminder of his most difficult time when everyone was against him (Kennith, honey, all these b!tches will burn in hell which you will set up for them together with Chris). Shuff felt how helpless Kennith was during that time, and feels bitter that he couldn't help him

▷ Shuffle likes to wear colorful socks

▷ Shuffle likes to crunch his fingers and all bones

▷ If you think about their relationship, Christopher felt very bad about Kennith's scars. Usually a sense of justice only works towards Crispy, but he was surprised when he felt the same towards Kenny. Chris is of the same sexuality as him, and he would have smashed all who disagreed, to pieces with a metal bat. Also Christopher taught Kennith how to use a bat don't change my mind

▷ If Chris acts on a momentary decision, Shuff thinks about his feelings here and now. That is, first he feels, and then decides. Chris lacks empathy (which he began to develop in the relationship), but Shuff has enough of it, especially for himself

▷ Shuff knows how to be cheeky, this is both toxic from Chris and hostility to the world from Kenny

▷ Shuff drinks a barrel of wine at once. He doesn't get drunk at all

▷ Yes, Christopher loves red semi-sweet wine

▷ The first time Chris and Kennith fused, Shuffle was unstable and had a slightly different design. For example, unstable Shuff had pink hair with parts of white and chaotic mixed clothing from both members

Imagine a Librarians / Ghosts crossover.

-Robin announcing that he went through a Magic door like in the impro and played chess with Excalibur the flying sword

-the Lits then appearing at Button House because of the high concentration of Ghosts (maybe due to a broken ley line?) And posing as guests but they all can see the Ghosts and find out that it really isn't that kind of haunted house.

-Flynn and Jake playing chess against Robin and Julian

-Kitty and Cassie being the sweetest , bubbliest together

-Cassie bonding with Fanny because they are both science girls especially maths girls

-Baird and Allison bonding over their mom-friend roles

-Ezekiel getting into arguments about stealing with Pat and talking about the universe and Aliens with Robin

-Ezekiel hanging out with Jemima ,playing dolls, because she reminds him of the time when he was a lost kid and because that's exactly whom he swore to help

-Flynn just being utterly enarmoured by the Plague Ghosts and spending a lot of time with them.

-ezekiel arguing with Fanny over her views on Australia. When Jake points out that he was indeed a thief he exclaims that that's besides the point

-also I feel like the salt of the earth, worked on an oil rig, cowboy with the 190 iq, love for travel, art , poetry etc., with the gentle smile and warm brown eyes and strong arms because of the martial arts would probably be worth a "Good Lord" upon first sight. (Flynn also looks like he fits the bill but I feel his energy is too manic in comparison. Jake is closer in demeanour to Havers, Adam and the Chap with the arms). Also I just really love Jake)

Bixby Bridge, CA (No. 1)

Bixby Bridge, also known as Bixby Creek Bridge, on the Big Sur coast of California, is one of the most photographed bridges in California due to its aesthetic design, "graceful architecture and magnificent setting". It is a reinforced concrete open-spandrel arch bridge. The bridge is 120 miles (190 km) south of San Francisco and 13 miles (21 km) south of Carmel in Monterey County on State Route 1.

Before the opening of the bridge in 1932, residents of the Big Sur area were virtually cut off during winter due to blockages on the often impassable Old Coast Road, which led 11 miles (18 km) inland. The bridge was built under budget for $199,861 (equivalent to $3.64 million in 2023 dollars) and, at 360 feet (110 m), was the longest concrete arch span in the California State Highway System. When it was completed, it was the highest single-span arch bridge in the world, and it remains one of the tallest.

The land north and south of the bridge was privately owned until 1988 and 2001. A logging company obtained approval to harvest redwood on the former Bixby Ranch to the north in 1986, and in 2000 a developer obtained approval to subdivide the former Brazil Ranch to the south. Local residents and conservationists fought their plans, and both pieces of land were eventually acquired by local and federal government agencies. A $20 million seismic retrofit was completed in 1996, although its 24-foot (7.3 m) width does not meet modern standards requiring bridges to be 32 feet (9.8 m) wide.

The bridge is "one of the most photographed features on the West Coast" and in the world. It has been featured on "postcards, TV ads, everywhere," according to Debra Geiler, project manager for the Trust for Public Land. The bridge's location on the scenic Central Coast of California, the parabolic shape of the arch, the tall spandrel columns, and the architectural piers contribute to an "intense aesthetic experience." "It's the gateway to Big Sur and the interior has never been logged. The land is pristine." Zad Leavy, former executive director of the Big Sur Land Trust, described the land as "...the most spectacular meeting of ocean and land in the entire United States."

Going off that last Dracula ask, do you have any reading material suggestions for anyone who might want to find more historically accurate info about Vlad Tepes and even the love affair details b/w Radu and Mehmed II? To get a better idea also of Matthias's role in Vlad's lifetime?

The easiest place for an English-speaking layperson to start is probably with Marcus Tanner's The Raven King: Matthias Corvinus and the Fate of His Lost Library (Yale University Press, 2001). It's part biography, part travelogue, and part history, and it covers the figure of Matthias himself and his legendary lost library pretty well. If you ignore Tanner's weird Male Historian misogyny toward Matthias's wives and failure to transcribe Hungarian names correctly, which I will admit are boggingly obscure nitpicks mostly of concern to me, it will give you a good sense of the time period, major figures, and Matthias overall.

As for Vlad, Dracula: Essays on the Life and Times of Vlad the Impaler, recently reissued (2020) from its Columbia University Press first edition in 1991, is also a great place to start on understanding the context of the historical figure and his actions in his subsequently-vastly-mythologized lifetime. It covers his foreign and domestic policy, his family background, his attacks against the Ottomans and relations with/opposition to Mehmed II, his religious strategies, and analysis of the subsequent folklore, heroic Romanian historical tradition, and other stories that grew up in Dracula's wake.

Sources for Mehmed include John Freely's The Grand Turk: Sultan Mehmet II - Conqueror of Constantinople and Master of an Empire, which came out in 2009 as the only significant biography of Mehmed since the 1970s. Nota bene that I have not personally read this book and am a little suspicious because it appears to have been written by guy whose academic specialty is physics, not history, even if he does live and teach in Istanbul. So yes, there is that, and more academic-history texts that focus on the broader geographical, cultural, and religious contacts and conflicts in the region during this time include Byzantines, Latins, and Turks in the Eastern Mediterranean World After 1150 and The Late Medieval Balkans: A Critical Survey From the Late Twelfth Century to the Ottoman Conquest.

With the tacit support of Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, a real estate company is planning to redevelop the green enclave with a pair of high-rise towers — about 190 meters (620 feet) each — and a smaller 80-meter (260-foot) companion.

"This is like building skyscrapers in the middle of Central Park in New York," Professor Mikiko Ishikawa told the Associated Press.

Ishikawa is an emeritus professor at the University of Tokyo who did her masters degree at Harvard. She studied landscape architecture and Central Park's history and said the park was an inspiration for the Japanese – as were European designs – when Jingu Gaien was completed in 1926.

"Tokyo would lose its soul," said Ishikawa, who described the area as "the showroom of the Japanese nation" when it was opened.

The flashpoint has been trees, green space, and who controls a public area that has been encroached on over the years. Also at issue is the fate of more than 100 ginko trees that line an avenue in the area and provide a colorful cascade of falling leaves each autumn.

The developer says the trees on the avenue will be kept, but 18 others away from the main avenue will be felled. In addition, Ishikawa said the root system of the remaining ginko trees will be damaged — perhaps killed — when the new baseball stadium is built within about 8 meters (25 feet) of the tree line.

Mannerism

The dictionary definition of manner:

1 – a characteristic or customary mode of acting

2 – a mode of procedure or way of acting

3 – a method of artistic execution or mode of presentation

The mannerism doesn’t refer to a style or a time period necessarily but to a particular mood of an age and its events during the age. Mannerism is the word used to describe the transition between the High Renaissance to the Baroque developments.

According to Britannica.com the term, mannerism “was first used by Italian archaeologist Luigi Lanzi to define 16th century artists who were the followers of major Renaissance masters (Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, etc.) .

Following the focus on proportion in humanism and individualism, during the Renaissance, the age of Mannerism came along with a different approach to art. The new view on art and design during Mannerism turned away from the style of the Renaissance and towards more expressive and imaginative interpretations of the human body. According to theartstory.org “new science discoveries had led science away from humanist ideals, and art no longer posited man as the centre of the universe, but rather as isolated, peripheral participants in the great mysteries of life”. This explains why there was such a drastic change from the Renaissance’s art focusing on the importance of individualism to focusing less on the realistic views on man and rather abstracting man instead.

In his book, Leonardo Benevolo states that he believed “every attempt to localize the borderline between two cultures at a precise moment, …seems doomed to failure”. Here he emphasised the fact that throughout history, to try and “localize the borderline” between cultures will always fail. This is an interesting concept as lots of changes between the ages and their cultures have been quite dramatic. Many changes of age have begun with a crisis, e.g., the plague, so the changes in society and culture have sometimes seemed less dramatic at the time as they have helped society come back from their crisis.

So i finally figured out Tsugaru’s backstory, but i can’t put it in my theme cause it’s busted or outdated or something that’s irritating the shit out of me :’)))) for now i’ll put it under this readmore, until i figure out wtf to do with my theme

Personality: At first, second and third glance Tsugaru is a very calm and quiet individual. He’s not cold but not exactly warm, more like a perfect polite stranger that wishes you well. Upon further inspection Tsugaru comes off as rather secretive and stubborn, a hardened man with a troubled glint in his eyes if one looked too long. Tsugaru will always strive to be kind, patient and respectful, but if pushed too far he can be stern and even manipulative.

Past: Tsugaru was born into a deeply religious and spiritual family in a small rural town in Japan. His family was old-fashioned, bound to traditions and had close relations to the local temple where Tsugaru spent most of his childhood in. Tsugaru was a bright and smiling child who would actively participate in the temple’s daily activities and community social work. The temple was very beloved and respected in his town.

Tsugaru discovered his strength at a young age when he was alone in the temple one evening, and witnessed a corrupt, local politician stealing donated money from the temple. Tsugaru was discovered by the politician, who responded in panic by attempting to stab Tsugaru with a knife. Tsugaru, with newfound adrenaline in his blood, ended up defending himself by ripping off a piece of the temple’s architecture, using the piece to bludgeon the politician’s head in, killing them shortly. Tsugaru himself had aimed to only knock them out cold, but severely underestimated his own powers.

The temple guardians arrived along with his family, who concluded that this could not reach the rest of their community. They burned the corpse and manipulated a story that explained the politician’s disappearance. His family instructed him to never talk of this incident ever again. But the damage was already done, as Tsugaru’s parents expressed a great fear for their son, believing him to be possessed by a demon and was afraid he would hurt them too. The temple guardians on the other hand, was not afraid of Tsugaru, which made Tsugaru basically move into the temple at some point in his childhood.

Their community eventually got to know about Tsugaru’s strength, but never the murder that occurred in the temple. The community responded fairly well with Tsugaru’s strength, enjoying the protection and extra labour help it provided, but they also viewed Tsugaru as a freak possessed by a demon, always making sure to never to alone with him. At some point Tsugaru started to think he indeed was possessed by a demon, whether it was whatever granted him his strength, or maybe it was the troubled ghost of the person he murdered. This only solidified when traumatic nightmares of the episode started to occur. This motivated Tsugaru to seek and practice inner peace and tranquility on a daily basis. Everything to escape the visions that keeps haunting him from that day.

When he reached adulthood he realized there was no love left for him in his community, and Tsugaru ended up moving as far away as he could and settled in a temple near Ikebukuro, in hope to further practice his inner peace.

Rare Imperial Ottoman Appliqué Tent Panel

Ottoman Empire, Circa 1683, Dimensions: 190 x 344 cm.

On red cotton background, mixed silk fabrics, in hemmed appliqué technique, with a dense floral infilling in red, orange, yellow, green and cream. Two elements are borrowed from Ottoman architecture: arched columns and windows. These architectural elements are profusely decorated with carnations, tulips, floral sprays in vases, and Chinese cloud-bands. The decorative repertoire (viz sprays of carnations, tulips) employed in this panel is derived from the work of 16th century Ottoman court atelier masters including Kara Memi.
